Hey! We love your blog. Looking into getting a uniform for my girl. Where would you recommend finding an older-style uniform for her? I’ll likely get a few but I want them to be identical.

Hello, Thank you for your kind words! My everyday uniforms were purchased on e-bay. They are not vintage uniforms but are what a hotel maid or nursing home maid might wear. The company name Edmonds and the style is called Jr. Cord. They ususally come with a tea apron. The uniform itself hs two nice side pockets which are great for storing a spare pair of gloves

My formal uniforms were purchased from an english compary which I do not remember the name off and can no longer find on line.

My vintage style uniforms were custom maid by someone my superior is friends with. Real vintage uniforms are hard to find on-line as they are usually helloween costumes and are not built to stand up to the rigor's or real maid's work.

My hosiery is SHeertex which you can easily find on line. It is expenses but they run sales they help make them affordable. They are very durable but lack the attributes that most males enjoy about wearing hosiery. They do not feel very silk, they are not shiney and they offer a looser fit. I believe you will find that they are both very functional and worth the expense in the long run.

What were the moments of pure joy that I experienced in 2023?

Despite feeling like I didn’t, I experienced a lot of joy in 2023. For sure in the first half there was so much joy - I went to Cuba entirely courtesy of Nick, I got into grad school, I had my first valentine’s day, I had basically no Sheertex responsibilities and was just getting paid to live my life. Oh no I’m going to cry because the first half of my year was so so good and now the only thing I can focus on is how terrible I have felt for the latter half oh wow. But we’re not focusing on that now we’re focusing on the good. In the second half I got to be out in the woods a lot, I learned a lot about myself, I started some new hobbies. I spent time with my parents and realized how much my friends love me. I got back into reading and I started thinking about my future. I finished my first D&D campaign, I saw a bunch of art exhibits. I saw some concerts, I went to the botanical gardens. I started rock climbing (I think that was this year?). From January to May I truly was everything I wanted to ever be. In the latter half I slowed down and it was nice. I learned how hard I need to work to get back to exactly where I was in May, but with this new knowledge. I can’t finish this, I’m weeping.
