hewwoo!! can i ask a hc for the main three boys (separately) with a fem idol!reader? she's an all rounder idol and visual for her group. like, what will they react to it? do they listen to her group's songs? do they collect her merchandise (like album, photocard, etc). and yeah something like that, ehehe. thank youuu!! have a nice day!
This was fun!! Thank you for requesting!! ❤️💜❤️
Midoriya Izuku 💚
-Of course Mido knew who you were!
-I feel like he always keeps up with the trends and always check out new groups, so yes, he knows you!
-When you first met, he was so excited, he asked for an autograph and pictures and all that jazz.
-The reason you met was All might. He heard so much about your group and when he got the chance to work with you, he just had to bring Izuku with him.
-Once he calmed down, chatting with Midoriya was fun.
-That and also teasing him, loving how he blushed and stuttered at your compliments.
-After you two talked for a bit, and before he got to leave, you two exchanged numbers.
-At first texting was a bit awkward, but soon it became fun. Sending each other funny stories, hearing him talk about his newly found info about heroes, telling him about the new choreography you were learning.
-When you started dating, you tried keeping it on the down-low. You didn't really want fans to drown you in questions, and you being an idol and him being an upcoming hero, you tried to keep everything private.
-But you two are always supporting each other, wether it's hero festivals or just your concerts, you two are always together, so you should've known that your cover will be blown sooner or later.
-But even then, all the fans supported it. You two quickly become couple goals, you're always talking about him in interviews, he's always wearing your merch, you two are just perfect!
Todoroki Shoto 💙❤️
-Honestly I think Shoto doesn't know much about today's music.
-The only reason why he has even just heard of your name is because of Midoriya and Uraraka fangirling over your group.
-Well that being said, he really didn't know who you were when he got invited to one of those fancy parties and your group was preforming.
-The night went by and when you came down from stage you just wanted to sit somewhere quite and calm, for you didn't want to deal with the fans right now, you're too tired.
-And oh well, it happened to be next to Todoroki.
-Of course you knew who he was, son of a famous hero, top student in UA, who wouldn't know him.
-Anyway, you started talking to him, it was difficult at first but by the end of the night, you did manage to get him to smile and even chuckle just a little bit over your joke.
-It didn't happen immediately, but whenever he was invited to parties he started hoping that you'd be there.
-And when you were, he got so happy. You two always hang out together after your performances to chat and just catch up, exchange numbers after, just have a good time.
-He didn't really realize he had feelings for you, he just thought ge enjoyed your company, that was before Uraraka and Midoriya started blowing his phone up one day.
-The day after your last party, pictures of the both of you were all over the internet, rumors saying that you two were a couple.... He didn't mind those rumors.
-So without really thinking, he liked some of the news, not knowing what that might imply.
-Then you texted him, something that got him blushing and mind racing.
-"So you liked those rumors Shoto? Is that your way of asking me out? Hahaha"
-"Yes"
-Yeah that's literally how you two started dating.
-Anyway, Shoto doesn't listen to your music in a daily basis, it's just not his cup of tea, but he always checks out new songs, compliment your dance moves, tell you how incredibly beautiful you are in the photoshoots.
-He doesn't wear your merch, but he does have a little keychain, or bracelet, or smth small like that, that when the fans noticed, thay couldn't help but find so sweet and romantic.
Bakugou Katsuki 🧡
-He knew you since before you debuted.
-In his free time, he likes to go hang out at his parent's styling agency, and it happened that they were in charge of styling your group.
-You always greeted him with a smile, and whenever he looked in a not too terrible mood, you'd try to strike a conversation with him.
-Which wasn't always successful, but after a while he warmed up to you.
-Just like his determination to become the number one hero, you had the determination to become a super star, and that's what he liked about you. That's why you two were friends.
-When you became an idol, your friendship didn't change. You're the same old Y/n who'd ask him to go get ice cream at 3am,and he's still the same old Katsuki who'd make fun of your hair before ruffling it.
-With everything going on with both of your lives, you two never took the time to think about your feelings and realize it was all more than platonic.
-Until rumora started spreading that you're dating another idol. And Bakugou couldn't helo the boiling of his blood when he heard that. The shattering of his heart, the coil forming in his stomach.... It all must be a lie right? So he texted you to see.
-And of course it was, you reassured him that you had no feelings for the other star, that you were nothing more than just friends.
-"Great, good. Because you know Y/n, you belong to me!"
-And yed that might sound a bit possessive, but the hesitation in his voice, the dark blush on his cheeks, the averting of his eyes, all told you that he was being sweet.
-You didn't try to hide your relationship with him, but people are so used to seeing you together, and Bakugou wasn't a fan of showing pda, so no one realized the shift in your relationship.
-But the longer you dated, the more comfortable you became with each other. You'd walk closer together, you'd smile more, even hug, sometimes hold hands, and on rare occasions, Bakugou would lean in to give you a little kiss. And that's when the fans' minds blew away.
-Of course he'd have all your albums, wether he listens to them or not, it doesn't matter, he just wants to support you. And you do the same for him; posters, figurines, books...
-The sweetest thing that has ever happened was when he was seen wearing a fan-gifted shirt that had a selfie of the both of you on it.
-Fans honestly are dying over your relationship, you're so supportive of each other, and clearly head over heels for one another, they can't help but love you!

Movies I watched this Week #85
Global Warming Film Slump: (It got too hot here to watch too many movies this week! I had to buy me a fan.) Anyway, the best of this week were ‘Blame’, ‘Clemency’, ‘Young Adult’, ‘I am love’, ‘Little Women’.
🍿
“The Future Of Film Is Female” X 8:
🍿 Quinn Shephard (Photo Above) is my new, wonderful, discovery. Blame (2017) was her astonishing directorial debut. It’s about the staging of Arthur Miller’s ‘The Crucibles’ at a suburbian ‘Mean Girls’ high school. But it’s not a teenage drama. On its face, it’s sensitive, provocative and intelligent. However, you can’t overlook the fact that Shepard started writing the script for the movie when she was 15-year-old, that it was directed, produced, edited and sound-mixed by her, and it was even self-financed by her (and her mom). She also starred in it (brilliantly, and together with her real-life girlfriend), and played it well - ALL BEFORE SHE TURNED 20. Truly, a talent of Orson Welles-levels. Obviously, if she was a man, she’s be hailed as the new Tarantino, and given all kinds of money to do what she pleases. 9/10.
🍿 Her newest film Not Okay is about a ecosystem I don’t care about, the empty lives of narcissistic social media influencers who would fake anything to achieve internet fame. The film even opens with an onscreen disclaimer that it contain “an unlikable female protagonist” and indeed ‘Buzzfeed Danni’ is young, vain and vacuous. But Shepard is such a skilled author that she delivers a solid well-directed tale (especially with the powerful slam-poetry ending).
Shephard herself appears in a short cameo at the support group meeting, wearing a t-shirt that reads ‘The future of film is female‘.
Now that will be nice to see!
🍿 Clemency by Chinonye Chukwu won the US Dramatic Grand Jury Prize at Sundance 2019, making her the first black woman to win the award. It tells of prison warden Alfre Woodard who oversees the execution of an inmate who claims his innocence. A sober and precise look at the people who carry out this inhuman administrative murder. 8/10. Much of the crew on this film was female!
🍿 Greta Gerwig’s 2019 version of Little Women, with the magnificent Saoirse Ronan as Jo March, AKA Louisa May Alcott. Joyous and simply marvelous. Having the sisters speak in contemporary English got some used to, but eventually worked.
🍿 Jodie Foster’s directorial debut Little man Tate (1991), with herself as an ordinary single mother trying to give ‘normal’ life to her 7-year-old prodigy son. Jodie Foster herself was a former child prodigy, but this feel-good film was unfocused and unresolved.
🍿 Young Adult (2011) - Incredible script by Diablo Cody, and incredible acting by Charlize Theron. Sour-sweet, painful and real. 9/10.
🍿 Tully, another Diablo Cody script starring fat Charlize Theron (and the 3rd collaboration between Cody and director Jason Reitman, after ‘Juno’ and ‘Young Adult’). Like de Nero in ‘Raging Bull’, Charlize Theron gained 50 lbs. so she can play the bloated mom realistically, a bit too realistically. The constantly crying baby was grating indeed. 7/10.
🍿 First watch: Patty Jenkins’ painful first film, Monster (2003) about real-life street prostitute and later serial killer Aileen Wuornos. Charlize Theron deservedly won her only Oscar for this harrowing, tortured performance. She completely transformed herself into this unattractive, tragic role. Really tough to sit through.
🍿
So I also had to get me a palate cleanser with Charlize ("I have alopecia in both eyes") Theron at her most glamorous in Long Shot - again. One of my new favorite romantic comedies, and one I can watch any time, again and again. (This is the 3rd with Bob Odenkirk that I saw this week!).
🍿
Stolen Kisses, Truffaut’s third chapter of the Antoine Doinel saga. The very first scene by the closed Cinémathèque Française with Charles Trenet singing ‘Que reste-t-il de nos amours?’ promises prime Truffaut: Sentimental, delicate, romantic. Jean-Pierre Léaud plays a confused guy without a center who doesn’t fit in and has no clue what he wants to do. 6/10.
Here is Jean-Pierre Léaud’s first audition for ‘The 400 Blows’!
🍿
2 more by Luca Guadagnino:
🍿 I Am Love, my 3rd of Luca Guadagnino’s dazzling ‘Desire’ trilogy (after ‘A Bigger Splash' and ‘Call Me by Your Name’). It was co-produced, and co-developed by Guadagnino and Tilda Swinton over a 7-year period. She gloriously plays a rich industrialist’s wife from Milan. It’s a luxurious masterpiece, mature, sophisticated and cultured, which leaves much of the story unsaid. The plot twist at the exact mid-point was unexpectedly shocking and very moving. Highly recommended.
🍿 The Staggering Girl, an artsy 2019 Guadagnino’s short with Julianne Moore, Marthe Keller and Kyle MacLachlan, and with score by Ryuichi Sakamoto. Created together with fashion house Valentino it’s more like a highfalutin 35 min. commercial for them. Beautiful and boring. 2/10. 🍿
Oh, how sexual mores change. Michael Caine’s 1966 Alfie does not come across today as a boyishly charming free-spirited ‘player’ with a Cockney accent, who thinks of himself as ‘God’s gift to women’. Rather a callous scumbag, a self-centered male-chauvinist asshole. It’s hard to find this film witty any more. 🍿
Michelangelo Antonioi X 2:
🍿 Antonioni’s 2nd short, the early neo-realistic short, N.U., a documentary about the workers of the Netezza Urbana, the department of sanitation: the anonymous street-sweepers of Rome.
🍿 And his very last work at 90, ‘The Dangerous Thread of Things’, part of the 2004 trilogy Eros, three unrelated stories about love (and sex). The other two parts are ‘The Hand’ by Wong Kar-wai and ‘Equilibrium’ by Steven Soderbergh. Kar-wai’s short, about a tailor who falls in love with gorgeous concubine Gong Li, was perfect.
🍿
Ed and Pauline (2014) is a short about influential film critic Pauline Kael’s early writing life and partnership with Edward Landberg, with whom she ran the Berkeley Cinema Guild and Studio in Berkeley, CA, thus creating the first art cinema in the USA.
🍿
Boudu Saved from Drowning by Jean Renoir, with Michel Simon from 1932. A strange comedy of manners about a middle-class bookseller who saves a free-spirited, suicidal clochard and brings him into his household. Unreformable and unlikable, the anarchistic house guest does not conform, and the good deed is not rewarded.
🍿
..."We accept the reality of the world with which we're presented"...
Re-watch: Peter Weir's prophetic The Truman Show (1998) retains it’s power. An “exploration of simulated reality, existentialism, surveillance, religion, metaphilosophy, privacy, and reality television, with elements of dystopian fiction, metafiction, psychological drama, romantic comedy, satire, and social science fiction”. Shot at the Florida home of infamous pedophile Matt Gaetz.
🍿
“.. Wearing a turtleneck is like being strangled by a really weak guy.,, all day..” and “This jacket is dry clean only. Which means it’s dirty.” Etc.
I never heard Mitch Hedberg before. This is his 45 min. Comedy Central Special from 1999. Deadpan.
🍿
I Don't Just Want You To Love Me, (1992). A mediocre German documentary about the prolific Rainer Werner Fassbinder. 3/10.
🍿
After bingeing the first 4 seasons last week, I thought I’ll continue with Better Call Saul, but unfortunately after the first 3 episodes of Season 5 I had enough. The more I decided that I’m not buying into the emotional lives of the characters, the more I started to dislike it.
(I don’t have to be a completist in everything I do!)

Throw-back to the art project:
Adora With Jean-Pierre Léaud.
Adora in The Truman Show.

Pairing Jungkook x Reader (female)
Genre Actor AU | Hollywood AU | Exes to Lovers AU | Romance | Fluff | Angst
Warnings Mentions of cyber bullying
Word count 3.5k
Summary “Her stylist had chosen a wonderful black Elie Saab Haute Couture for the occasion. The gown was long, sleek and structured, with overlaying tulle and tafta, the top was semi-transparent, with long sleeves and padded shoulders, and the whole dress was adorned with an intricate golden embroidery that highlighted her figure craftily. Her hair had been pinned neatly in a bun on top of her head, with some twists and braids that she had no way of replicating on her own. The make up artist had played with golden eyeshadow and had drawn a strong and thick black line with the eyeliner, making her gaze sharper and sexier. Y/N looked like a chic princess warrior, ready for battle. And, somehow, she really felt like it. She wasn’t anxious only about the ceremony, she had read the lineup, she had read his name. She knew there was no avoiding him this time: her first love, Jeon Jungkook.”

Award season was the period of the year Y/N hated the most. Despite being in the entertainment industry since she was a teenager - and now being in her late 20s -, she still couldn’t get used to the stress it put her through. She actually looked forward to dressing up and posing in front of dozens and dozens of photographers at the beginning of her career, but now that she had made a name for herself, now that everyone knew who she was, Y/N would gladly stay in her king sized bed watching some movie instead. Unfortunately, even if she wanted to, there was no way she could avoid attending this season’s ceremonies.
The past year had been Y/N’s most rewarding yet. She had been in fact casted by a renowned and award-winning director as the main character of his new historical movie, which turned out highly successful at the box office - earning more than $110,000,000 on its opening weekend - and highly acclaimed by the critics who had praised, not only the cinematography and the intricacy of the plot, but especially Y/N’s performance - described as raw, heartbreaking and graceful. To no one’s surprise, she was soon nominated as Best Actress in most of the award events, winning all of them despite the high competition and enriching the collection of trophies she had displayed in her home office.
When she debuted ten years ago with a minor role in an episode of a television series she only dared dreaming of reaching such a peak in her career. She could have never imagined that she would become one of the highest paid actresses in the industry, that she would afford buying her dream car and her dream house in Los Angeles, and that she would have millions of fans supporting her all over the world. Yet, there she was, getting ready for ‘the dream come true’, the award of the awards: the Oscars. And she, Y/N Y/L/N, had been chosen as the strongest contender in her category: Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role. She had already been nominated twice before, but this time was different, this time she felt she could actually win. Hence why she couldn’t stop walking anxiously back and forth in the 5 star hotel room her staff had booked for the day.
Her stylist had chosen a wonderful black Elie Saab Haute Couture for the occasion. The gown was long, sleek and structured, with overlaying tulle and tafta; the top was semi-transparent, with long sleeves and padded shoulders, and the whole dress was adorned with an intricate golden embroidery that highlighted her figure craftily.
She knew there was no avoiding him this time: her first love, Jeon Jungkook.
Y/N was a completely different woman from who she was back in high school.
She had grown in a very poor family. Her mother had to raise her, alongside her older brother, all on her own, working long hours as a housekeeper for a rich and snob family who mistreated her and paid her just enough so that she couldn’t resign. She was a very sweet woman who had to struggle every day to give her two children the most normal life she could afford. Y/N’s father, on the other hand, was never present: an alcoholic who couldn’t keep a job for more than a month, he regularly failed to pay child support after the divorce and never once made a call to hear from them.
Y/N understood the importance of money early on, in elementary school, when her classmates started teasing her because of her hand-me-down clothes. She was used to wear her brother’s old t-shirts every now and then and never thought too much of it. She didn’t see any difference between the rock bands pictures or the flowery prints, she didn’t realize it mattered. And when she had told her mother that those girls had laughed at her, the woman almost cried, so Y/N decided not to mention it ever again.
Y/N grew up into a very introverted and shy teenager. She wasn’t good with socializing and generally preferred being on her own. Her desire for solitude was so evident that her classmates gave up on their attempts to befriend her and she soon became the lone wolf of their high school. By junior high, she became almost invisible.
Strangely enough, Y/N’s dream was that to become an actress, a profession that required a lot of things she lacked of. Confidence, to begin with, or charisma. The only thing she believed she could do was hide inside the unused storage room on the second floor and play with the old props left by the drama club.
She met Jungkook while doing just that.
The boy was just coming back from the first meeting of the Mathematics Discussion Club - of which he was the president - when he heard someone crying from a room he never noticed before. He opened the door quietly, peeking his head inside the dim lighted room, only to find the silhouette of a girl lying on the floor in a fetal position and seemingly crying her lungs out in pain. She had her hands clutching tightly her head and she was sobbing so hard that she was on the verge of hyperventilating. On instinct, Jungkook rushed to her side, his books, pencils and calculator clattering all over the floor.
“Are you ok?!” he screamed in worry, putting his hands over her shoulders.
Y/N jumped up, her wailing stopping so abruptly that it made Jungkook jump as well. As it turned out, Y/N was doing nothing more than acting the part of a terminally ill girl who was suffering intense head pains - a part she had invented all on her own to test her ability with dramatic scenes. it was something she did quite often. Just the day before she was performing Meryl Streep’s part in “Into the Woods” to an invisible audience.
“I-I’m ok.” she mumbled, drying the fake tears from her cheeks.
“What the hell?” Jungkook murmured, looking at her in astonishment. “What was that?”
“I was ... I was just pretending.” she replied, her voice horse from all the screaming.
“Pretending?” he repeated as he sat bewildered on the dirty floor. “You were pretending to be in pain? Why?!”
Y/N felt the heat rising to her face. This was the first time she had to explain her weird little secret to anyone. “Acting.”
“Acting.” Jungkook repeated once again. “And why are you doing it in here?” he asked looking around the creepy space, with its spider webs and abandoned miscellaneous objects. “What is this place anyways?”
“It was the old storage room of the drama club.” Y/N replied. “They don’t use it anymore. There’s no space left.”
“I can see that.” he said staring at the shelf just above their heads that looked about ready to collapse. “So, I guess you’re not in the drama club?”
“No.” Y/N answered looking down at her crossed legs. She wondered if he was going to snitch on her. She really didn’t want to get in trouble. Besides, it wasn’t like she was doing something that terrible.
“I could tell.” Jungkook replied. “I saw last year’s winter play and, let me tell you, you, crying on the floor 5 minutes ago, were ten times better than that.”
Y/N looked back at him with her mouth open in surprise. She had no idea who this boy sitting crossed legged on the floor with her was, with his white button down shirt and over washed jeans, but he singlehandedly gave her the best compliment she could wish for. “Right?!” she exclaimed sitting straighter. “I thought so too! But everybody else acted as if they saw the best performance of their lives! I knew I couldn’t be the only one who taught that their interpretation of Shakespeare’s Antony and Cleopatra was nothing but underwhelming.”
“Damn right.” the boy nodded in agreement. “I actually looked forward to it because I prefer it over Romeo and Juliet, but I was so disappointed. You should have played Cleopatra!” he added in an afterthought. “Why didn’t you?”
Y/N felt herself blush once again. “I never performed in front of anyone.” she confessed. “Apart from my mother an brother, that is.”
“That’s a shame.” Jungkook murmured pensively. “You have real talent, storage room girl. Believe me, I’m an expert.”
Being friends with Jungkook was easy, falling in love with him was even easier. It came so naturally that Y/N didn’t even have the chance to fully realize it before they were officially dating.
He was everything Y/N wasn’t and everything she wanted to be. Even at 16 years old he already was a very confident boy. He was incredibly smart, funny and a little bit nerdy. He didn’t belong to the upper class of their high school social pyramid, nor the middle, but he had no care in matching those standards because he loved himself for who he was - Stark Trek t-shirts, consumed tennis shoes and all.
In the short year the two of them were together, from junior to senior year, Jungkook became the reason behind Y/N’s happiness. She wasn’t aware of how lonely she really had been while asking to be left alone. Jungkook taught her to be open towards the world, to be curious and to believe in herself and her abilities. Thanks to him and his never ending support Y/N came to realize that she wasn’t meant to hide inside the abandoned storage room on the second floor, but she deserved the chance to follow her dreams.
Together they filed their applications for college: Jungkook always wanted to become an aerospace engineer and had set the personal - and ambitious - goal to work for NASA; Y/N, on the other hand, had worked hard during her last year in high school to win a scholarship for whichever Performing Arts College was willing to take her in - it didn’t matter which one because she knew she started her acting career late. All she wanted was to study to become an actress, to perform on stage and bring to life incredible stories, to be someone one day and someone else the other.
But it was such a big dream, something so fickle and risky, that Y/N couldn’t help but being overwhelmed by fear, not only for her future but that of Jungkook’s as well, because after all, despite all the changes she had gone through, a part of her was still hiding from the world. So she did something stupid, something very cliché, that nevertheless seemed the right thing to do at that time: she broke up with him.
It’s for his own good, she had thought. He is brilliant, I don’t want to hold him back.
Jungkook fought her and for her. He was afraid something like this would happen, he was sure it wasn’t what she really wanted, he knew she was just afraid. But Y/N was a very talented actress indeed and for a moment, as she looked straight into his dark eyes and told him she didn’t love him anymore, Jungkook felt his confidence waver.
“I’m really thankful for what you’ve done for me.” she had said. “I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for you.”
“Please don’t lie.” he had whispered, trying to stop the angry and disappointed tears from falling from his eyes. “Don’t pretend. Not with me.”
“I’m not.” Y/N replied, her voice firm. “I loved you, I really did. You’ll be my first love forever, Kook.”
And the very next day, just like in one of those cheesy television dramas her mother loved so much, she flew hundreds of miles away from him, trying to not looking back.
If she said she never regretted it over the following years, it would be a lie. As she started her new life, she never failed to think of him. She wondered how he was doing, if his dreams were coming true and if he ever thought of her as much as she did of him. As she grew up and matured, Y/N realized how stupid her choice had been and how important Jungkook’s role had been in shaping her personality and in breaking her shell. Y/N was sure of it: if he didn’t found her that day inside the storage room, she wouldn’t be who she was today.
Years after she broke up with him, Jungkook still popped up into her mind every now and then. She thought of him the first time she was casted for a walk on role in a movie; she thought of him the first time her name was credited in an episode of a TV show; she thought of him the first time she won an award.
She thought of him with regret and a little bit of melancholy. Y/N never forgot him. Not even when when became so famous she barely had the time and energy to think about herself.
The first time Y/N heard his name spoken by someone else’s mouth, three years ago, was a complete shock. She never talked of him to anyone, apart form her mother, her brother and Jimin, her best friend and manager, so he was supposed to be a nobody to everyone else but herself. As it turned out, with a very mysterious turn of events, Jungkook had left the path towards aerospace engineering and had decided to take his chance with acting. And from what Y/N gathered from the overheard conversation, he was starting to make a name for himself as well.
That night, back in her multimillion dollar villa, Y/N researched his name on the internet for the first time.
He was new to the industry and there wasn’t much about him, it was like he popped out of nowhere. But it was definitely Jungkook, Y/N recognized him from the pictures. He had grown into a beautiful man, so handsome that she did a double take and then had to stop herself from drooling. It wasn’t like he was ugly when they were together, but he was just a skinny teenager back then and this was a man, a real man who had lost all of his baby fat and now had a razor sharp jaw and a muscular body. Apparently, he was the protagonist of an ongoing TV series that was gathering a lot of success putting him in the center of the attention. ‘The new heartthrob’, that was how he was being called.
Y/N couldn’t help but wonder what happened after they lost contact with each other that made him change his career so drastically. Whenever she thought about him she imagined him working on some challenging project for NASA, never on a movie set. She remembered he was passionate about theatre and cinema, but never once he had expressed the desire to become an actor like her. Y/N didn’t know what to think.
As the years passed, Y/N watched as his acting career grew, as he starred in a success after the other and as he earned the respect of even the most strict directors and critics.
Y/N watched, yes, but from afar, never daring to contact him and secretly avoiding the chances to meet him again.
She had been successful, until now.
The drive to the Dolby Theatre went far too quick for Y/N’s taste. She could barely remember how she got from the hotel room where she had been preparing to the black luxury van. Before she knew it her stylist was taking away her favorite slippers and was putting on her dress-matching Dolce&Gabbana heels.
Y/N didn’t have the time to think. Three years of running away and finally the moment had come. Jeon Jungkook - her first love, her ‘the one that got away’, probably her biggest regret - was probably in the car behind hers.
“Y/N, two minutes.” Jimin called out, warning her to get ready. “You know the deal. Deep breath and own that red carpet as you always do. And-”
“I know.” Y/N interrupted him. “The left side is my best side.”
The man, dressed up as well in a black tux, gave her a wink. “I’ll be right behind you. You got this.” he declared, looking at her intensely. “This is the one.”
“Thanks, Chim. But from all we know I could be the next Di Caprio.” she joked, the roaring noise from the red carpet now deafening.
“On my dead body.” he smirked. “Talk to you later, princess.”
“Later.” she hugged him briefly. “Oh, can you please make sure my mom and Seokjin got in fine? I totally forgot to call them.”
“Of course. My assistant is with them, anyways.” Jimin said, putting a hand on the door handle. “Ready?”
Y/N took a deep breath, put on her best charming expression and nodded. “Ready.”
As soon as he opened the door, Y/N was immediately hit by the boisterous and echoing call of the fans. She wasn’t sure if it was only her impression but it seemed like every single one of them was screaming her name. She was, indeed, one of the biggest names of the night, there was no use in denying it, but Y/N couldn’t help but wish they stopped making her presence so obvious.
A young usher, pretending not so well to be indifferent and trying to be professional, guided her towards the beginning of the red carpet, hundreds of cellphones following her movements like magnets.
“Please, come this way, miss Y/L/N.” the usher instructed in a slightly trembling voice. “There will be someone from the staff signaling you were to stop to pose for the photographers.”
Y/N knew this already. She had attended countless of events like this, after all. Yet she didn’t say anything to the shy boy, preferring to smile at him sincerely. “Thank you very much.” she said, watching as he blushed violently.
Y/N started her walk, Jimin and her stylist following a few steps behind to make sure that everything went smoothly. The photographers went wild as soon as they saw her, the flashes of their cameras blinding her almost angrily. She was used to it now, she had mastered the trick: squinting sexily and blinking strategically.
As she walked slowly towards the entrance of the theatre, posing with confidence and channeling her best princess warrior, Y/N almost forgot the worries she had about Jungkook, until a new wave of screams echoed to her ears. She stiffened, even if imperceptibly. It was him, the line up said he would be walking right after her.
The time had finally come. Ten years had passed and she was seeing Jeon Jungkook again for the first time.
She continued to walk nonchalantly, every step confident and her chin up and proud. But once she reached the end of the red carpet and the photographers moved their attention away from her, Y/N couldn’t help but stop for a second, ignoring a fellow actress and ‘friend’ waving at her a few feet further.
She could feel him, she could feel his presence behind her back. She could either turn around and catch a glimpse of him, or resume walking and pretend he wasn’t there. It took her a couple of moments of indecisiveness, in which Jimin looked at her questioningly, before taking the umpteenth deep breath of the evening.
She turned, the hem of her $30 000 black dress brushing almost magically over the carpet, and there he was. For a moment the memory of the nerdy boy from high school overlapped the image in front of her. She was well aware of the fact that he wasn’t that teenager anymore, she had seen his pictures, watched his movies and interviews. The boy she remembered was long gone: standing tall and proud, more than twenty feet from her, was now Jeon Jungkook ‘the actor’, dressed in a perfectly tailored night blue tux that highlighted his toned body, black patent leather shoes and impeccably styled hair.
And he was staring - with his dark and deep black eyes - right back at her.

Chapter 18 -- Perfect Harmony | Charlie Gillespie
Summary: Emily Fox is a talented 17-year-old with a passion for all things music. Her dream is to become a successful singer-songwriter one day. But to achieve that dream, she needs to get into one of the most prestigious music schools in her district – it’s all been part of her plan since she was six. Sadly enough, those schools cost a ton of money that her parents don’t want to invest. They don’t even want her to pursue her dream. So, now Emily’s hustling, working at the music store to save up to get into college. That’s until she meets Charlie, an annoying seventeen-year-old boy with the same dream as her. The only difference is, he’s just doing it. He doesn’t need a fancy college to pursue his dream to become famous with his band. He just writes his songs and books small gigs here, there and everywhere. Will meeting Charlie defer her from her dream college, or will he actually help her achieve the dream?
Pairing: Charlie Gillespie x OC (Emily Fox)
Warnings: mentions of death, sexual assault
Important note: the characters of Charlie, Owen, Jeremy and Madison are based on the characters they play on the show and i do not own their names, only OC are mine. The songs aren’t mine either, they’re all from the show except for one.
~|Emily Fox|~
Saturday is here sooner than I expected. The boys and I are at the back of the Music Store where Open Mic Night ensues, rehearsing our entire setlist. Ash scolded at me when I told her we had six songs to perform but let us do our thing anyway since not a lot of artists have registered for tonight’s show. Such a pity we wasted all that fire on soundcheck,” Jeremy comments when we’ve finished playing Now or Never. The boys are all dripping with sweat, and my hair sticks to my head, making me look like an egg. “Yeah, Ems, you were on fire just now!” Owen says, holding his hand up for a high five, which I give him. “I think we’re going to do great tonight.” “I think so too!” A voice I recognize as Uncle Mitch’s echoes through the room. All four our head’s snap into his direction. He has a proud smile on his face as he glances around the room, completely mesmerized by everything. “How much of soundcheck did you hear?” I ask, hoping he didn’t hear Bright yet. It has to be a surprise. The old man hops onto the stage and wraps me up in a hug, which he immediately regrets. “You stink, girl,” he tells me, pulling back, “But I didn’t see anything, I just know you’re going to be great!” He looks up at the ceiling, inspecting the lighting situation. “This is a great place to play, Muffin,” he whistles in admiration. “You want to play another song, don’t you?” I ask him, knowing exactly where he’s going. “What?!” he screeches, but doesn’t bother further with playing coy, “Yes, can we? The other villain song Bobby wrote?” I roll my eyes at him, then nod to the boys. “Play something similar to what we did last time, more bass,” I tell them as they spring back into action. Owen counts us in, and we start playing while Uncle Mitch grabs an extra mic. “You know you wanna take a chance and be a little bit bad Ain't nothing quite like living on the edge so get ready to go I'm chasing down a thrill, and lookin' fit to kill So listen to the words a wise man said He said, "Covington, I got an offer that you can't refuse"” While I take care of backing vocals, the boys let go on their instruments whilst dancing around together. Mitch and I dance around each other. “You got nothing to lose, boys Lose, lose, lose You got nothing to lose, boys Lose, lose, lose You got nothing to lose” He grins up at me before turning to the boys and saying, “Welcome to my stage, boys” I walk over to Charlie whilst Uncle Mitch turns to our bassist. Charlie and I share a mic to add the little ‘ooh’s as a bit extra pizzazz. “You know you want a little taste Life's short, not a minute to waste I'll take you higher than you've ever been So come over and tell me how you'd like to begin” Uncle Mitch and I then switch places, so I can rock out with Jeremy and Mitch sings to my boyfriend.
“You got nothing to lose, boys Lose, lose, lose You got nothing to lose, boys Lose, lose, lose You got nothing to lose” Mitch points to Owen, and the other two stop playing for a moment, leaving Owen to shine. “Owen, show me what you've got” Jeremy then comes up with a really good bass riff. “Jeremy, swing it, baby” He then points to Charlie, who shreds a few amazing chords on his guitar. “Now Charlie, yeah” He then turns back to me. “You and me How do you like my new band?” To my absolute surprise, Uncle Mitch starts scatting, way better than Charlie did when we sang This Band is Back together. Then he goes back into the chorus, but says the words instead of singing us, leaving us with the little ‘ooh’s for extra effect. “You got nothing to lose So come over here, baby I got what you need Let yourself go crazy All bets on me, it's electrifying From your hat to your shoes I feel it in the air We got nothing to lose, nothing to lose, yeah” Uncle Mitch hits that last high note flawlessly, leaving the band in absolute awe. “I think we’re ready for tonight, you guys,” Charlie says with that award-winning smile of his plastered on his face while he places his guitar on its stand. “Definitely,” I agree as a rush of giddiness rushes through me. “I can’t wait for Emily and the Foxes’ debut performance!” Uncle Mitch claps his hands excitedly. “What time do you guys get on?” The boys all gather in the middle of the stage where my uncle and I already are. “Open Mic Night starts at 7, but we go on at 8,” I inform him. He nods in response and kisses me on the cheek. “I’ll be here, just need to go and do something first.” He waves at the boys before getting off stage again, leaving me and the boys. Charlie walks up to me then and wraps his arms around me. He smells of sweat and hard work and sticks to me like a sticker in a sticker book. “I’m not the only one that stinks,” I comment with a chuckle. Charlie pulls his arms away, but I just pull him closer. “We’ll stink together.” I kiss him on his cheek. “How about we all go take a shower and get ready, then meet here again at 7?” Owen suggests, hopping off the stage. Everyone agrees with him, following behind. “Emmy, can I shower at your place?” Charlie asks me on our way out. “Uhm, yeah, sure! What’s wrong with your place?” The look I get from him is one of regret and shame mixed together. “You seriously haven’t been back to your parents’?” I make sure not to sound angry, even though I am. My voice eludes disappointment, though. “I’ll go tonight, I promise.” I shake my head at him. “You know what?” I start and comb a strand of hair of his from his forehead, “How about we’ll go shower at my place and after the show tonight, we’ll go to yours together, okay?” I can’t stop the words coming out of my mouth. Did I just suggest I meet his parents? “Are you sure you want that, baby?” It’s now his turn to tuck a strand of hair behind my ear. “Uhm… Yeah…” I think about it for a moment. It can’t be that bad. And besides, if that’s what it takes to get Charlie back at his parents’ house without him being yelled at too much, that’s what I’ll do. “Yeah, I’m sure!” He offers me a smile before planting a kiss to my lips. “Let’s do it, then!” He grabs my hand and leads me out of the Music Store, and together, we head to my house. He lets me shower first, and while I get ready, he takes a shower. I’m sat in front of my makeup mirror, applying some show makeup, when Charlie enters my bedroom again with solely a towel wrapped around his waist. My mascara wand stops mid-air when I spot him in the reflection of my mirror. His abs are defined and dripping with the water. I’m not entirely sure if he does it on purpose or not, but he changes right behind me where I can see him through my mirror. “You look very pretty, baby,” he tells me when he catches me looking at him through the mirror as he throws a muscle tank on. I cough fumblingly and bring my concentration back to my mascara. “I like the glitter eyeshadow a lot. It makes you sparkle like the star you are.” He comes up behind me and presses a kiss to my now dry hair. “I like your shirt,” I tell him, “Is that a new one?” “No, it’s Jeremy’s, actually. But he said he didn’t wear it anymore, so,” he shrugs. “You ready?” I screw the lid of the mascara back on while nodding and getting up. We meet the boys back at the Music Store, all of them giddy to perform. The closer we get to 8pm, the more nervous I become. Especially when I see who’s on the side of the stage, getting ready to go on before us. Brianna Holly and her girl band. “Hey!” Madison greets me when the boys and I are at the back of the venue. “You ready?” “I was until I found out Dirty Candy is going to perform,” I nod towards the backstage area. “I even forgot she had a band!” Madison’s eyes are wide in shock. “I bet she just asked her daddy to call in some favors.” I chuckle nervously. Madison is probably right, but it somehow feels like an attack on our band. As the bubblegum pop music starts to play, I glance up at the boys. They’re all looking at Brianna and her band with smiles on their faces until Charlie meets my eyes and turns the smile into a scowl. “Whenever I walk in the room All the focus on me The way I talk the way I move They all want on my team” “They’re not that great, you know?” he comments with a nervous smile. “I mean, they got great moves?” Owen chimes in without taking his eyes off Dirty Candy and trying to imitate their moves. It causes him to bump into Charlie and he bumps into me. “Sorry,” he whispers, his hands steadily on my shoulders. “Not tryin' to brag, brag But I'm flawless I'm taking over your playlist Ain't perfect but I can't miss, yeah The party don't start till I walk in I'm stealing all the attention Don't get me started on mentions, yeah” I catch Jake’s eye from the other side of the room. He looks like a bored roadie until he sees me, and then he looks like a sad roadie. “Someone’s not having fun at his girlfriend’s gig,” I say to Charlie, nodding towards my ex. Charlie’s eyebrows furrow. “I hope he’s gone by the time we’re playing.” I notice him ball up his fists, so I grab his hand to relax him a little. “Come on, babe, he’s your ex! You don’t want him watching you, do you?” “Maybe I do, Charlie, because then he’ll see I’ve moved on and I’m happy.” Charlie grunts and turns back towards the performance, but I catch him glancing at Jake every now and again. “Some might say I sound conceited They don't get the shine that I get Some get jealous They can't help it They wish they were me”
“Can he like stop looking this way?” Charlie grumbles. When Charlie’s angry, he looks like a grumpy puppy and does not look intimidating at all. But that might just be because I love him and I – oh… “I keep the party going all night, all night I set the trends that you all like, all like I make an entrance when I don't try, don't try Cuz all I see is all eyes on me” “You okay over there?” I ask Owen, who’s still mimicking the girls’ choreography. “I can’t help it… It’s my feet!” he replies, to which I just hum a ‘mmh-mmh’ the way Madi always does. “They’re good though!” “When I grow up I wanna be me be me I'm my own goals just talking honestly Must have won the lottery Ain't no one as hot as me Stealing looks its robbery Everywhere I go all eyes on me” I’m wishing this show is nearly over because I can feel Charlie tensing up beside me with the second. It does take my attention away from how nervous I am, though. “Char, relax,” I whisper and grab his hand, intertwining our fingers. This doesn’t only help Charlie calm down; it also helps making Jake jealous. Not that that’s why I’m doing it. “I only lead I never follow follow I never open cuz it's my show, my show Don't know if people think I'm shallow, shallow But all I see is all eyes on me”
“That’s it!” Charlie grumbles when the song’s over, and to my absolute surprise, grabs me by the face and kisses me full on the lips. I’m startled at first, but then melt into his touch and into his lips. This is the most passionate kiss I have ever shared with anyone, and I wish it wasn’t an attempt by my current boyfriend to make my ex-boyfriend jealous. It even takes me a while to get over the kiss once Charlie has pulled away. That cliché of seeing fireworks when you kiss someone you love isn’t a myth. It’s actually true. “Jesus, Charlie,” I hear Jeremy chuckle, “I think you broke Emily.” I look back at Jake, who’s now suddenly gone. I wonder if he actually saw what just happened. “Oh, look at that,” Brianna’s voice sends shivers down my spine and has me back on planet earth in no time. “Amateur hour is about to start.” Her posse stands behind her, trying to look intimidating. “Hey, Brianna, thanks for opening for us,” I tell her before pushing past her, hoping my band would follow. Which they do not. “Hey, himbos!” The three look at me, completely confused. “This is the part where you follow me to the stage.” They seemingly shake awake all of a sudden and rush after me like a huddle of puppies. The four of us get ready backstage while Ash announces us. “For the next half hour, you’ll be treated by one of the most talented bands of Los Feliz. Formerly known as Sunset Curve, I now present to you; Emily and The Foxes!” Applause and cheers erupt from the crowd, and I even hear someone whistling, though I’m sure that either Mitch or Madi. The boys get their instruments while I settle behind the keyboard. “Hi, everyone. We’re Emily and The Foxes. I wanted to dedicate this first song to my Uncle Mitchell,” I glance over at him on the front row, “I don’t want to get all emotional, so just listen to the song, okay? It says everything I haven’t been able to say.” The crowd laughs lightly, including my Uncle Mitch. I shake the nerves out of my hands and let my hands hover over the keys. “You got this,” Charlie’s voice sounds, and that’s enough for me to start playing the first notes. “Sometimes I think I'm falling down I wanna cry, I'm callin' out For one more try To feel alive And when I feel lost and alone I know that I can make it home Fight through the dark And find the spark” I glance over at the boys, who give me encouraging smiles, ready to rock in a second. “Life is a risk but I will take it Close my eyes and jump Together I think that we can make it Come on let's run and” The boys now join in, sending the crowd into a frenzy. I get out from behind the keyboard and join the boys in the middle of the stage. “Rise through the night you and I We will fight to shine together Bright forever And rise through the night you and I We will fight to shine together Bright forever” While Charlie takes the next verse, I walk up to the front of the stage where the crowd has gathered, away from their chairs. I grab my uncle’s hand and mouth the words along to him. “In times that I doubted myself I felt like I needed some help Stuck in my head With nothing left” I now turn back to the stage, joining Jeremy and Owen to rock out with them. “I feel something around me now So unclear lifting me out I found the ground I'm marching on” Jeremy rushes over to Charlie to sing the pre-chorus into the same mic, the same way they do during Now or Never. I turn my back to Owen, encouraging the crowd into cheering for the two singing boys. “Life is a risk but we will take it Close my eyes and jump Together I think that we can make it Come on let's run and” Charlie and I sing the next chorus together while Jeremy skips back to his mic, rocking out with his bass. “Rise through the night you and I We will fight to shine together Bright forever And rise through the night you and I We will fight to shine together Bright forever” I now walk over to Charlie and offer him to sing into my mic, luring him towards the middle of the stage, without ever breaking eye contact. “In times that I doubted myself I felt like I needed some help Stuck in my head With nothing left” I then turn my back towards him, but stay close, and while he rocks out on his guitar, I sing the next part of the bridge. “And when I feel lost and alone I know that I can make it home Fight through the dark, and find the spark” I hit the high note, just like I did that day in my bedroom when Charlie and I finished the song. All while the boys handle the chorus together. “And rise through the night you and I We will fight to shine together” “Shine together,” I echo “Bright forever” “Bright forever” I glance over at Uncle Mitch again which gives me the boost I need to sing the last chorus. “And rise through the night you and I We will fight to shine together Shine together Bright forever Bright forever” I hold my mic up in victory as the crowd cheers and applauds. The boys and I take a bow, soaking in the applause and cheers. This is something I could get used to. I just need to get through Music Academy and then I’ll be all-knowing about music to write even more and even better songs. In the meanwhile, I’ll just enjoy this for a while.
“That was awesome, you guys!” Madison screams excitedly when we get off stage after our set. The buzz of the crowd filing out surrounds us. “Thanks for that song, Muffin. It was perfect!” Mitch compliments, and I can tell he’s cried a bit. “The entire set was amazing. You guys did a great job!” This compliment is for the entire band. “Shall we go eat something together to celebrate?” I look up at a nervous Charlie. He knows what’s going to happen now. “I guess we could eat something,” my reply is exactly what Charlie needs. He shoots me a thankful smile, noticeably calming down a little. Our group leaves the Music Store after having said goodbye to Ash, and we make our way to the nearest Chinese restaurant. The conversation soon picks up again where it left off, talking about the show. “That high note in bright, Emily!” Jeremy says with an impressed tone. “I had the chills during Perfect Harmony!” Madison chimes in. Charlie and I exchange glances. That’s our song. Our little perfect magic thing. All ours. “And Wake Up too!” “Still thought it was missing a song though,” Uncle Mitch adds somberly. “No song is as great as The Other Side of Hollywood or Nothing Left to Lose, Uncle Mitch,” I reassure him with a smile. This group of people right here. That’s all I ever need in life. Nothing else. It’s the perfect group to fill up the hole in my heart Uncle Bobby left.
“You’re going to be okay, Char,” I tell him when we’re in front of his house and he’s taking a long time to ring the doorbell. I don’t push him, though. “Hey, look at me,” I order sweetly, cupping his face with my hands. “I’m here, okay? You got this.” I repeat the words I needed to hear at the start of the show, the words that always help me. And now, they help Charlie too. He reaches up and presses the doorbell. It takes a minute, but an older looking man opens up. His hair is graying, his face framed by thick-rimmed glasses. “Charlie,” he breathes out in relief. “Hi, dad…” Charlie stares at his feet. “Can—Can we come in?” His dad glances at me, a smile appearing on his face as he steps aside to let us inside. Charlie guides me into the living room, and for as far as I can see, every wall is filled with family photos. “Who is it?” a woman’s voice yells from the kitchen, and no second later, she appears in front of us with the most relieved look on her face I ever did see. “Charlie, baby!” She cries and reaches out to him to take him in for a hug. My heart warms at the sight of it. I can just imagine what it must be like to have a mother so concerned about their child. “I’m sorry, mom,” I hear Charlie whisper with a crack of his voice. I glance up at his father, tears pooling in my eyes and his, and we share a smile. A simple smile that acknowledges how the both of us feel. Charlie pulls away from his mother after a few moments and reaches out for my hand. “Oh, sweetie, I’m sorry,” Charlie’s mom sniffles as a shy smile shines through. “I’m Jean.” Charlie pulls me towards them gently as I reach out to shake Jean’s hand. “Emily,” I introduce myself with a smile. “Thank you for bringing our son back, Emily,” his father’s voice sounds from behind me, “I’m Patrick, by the way.” “Nice to meet you, Patrick,” I glance over at Charlie, “I’m pretty sure he would’ve found his way back to you guys anyway.” This makes all three Gillespies smile, and evidently, me too. “Come, child,” Jean grabs my hands, “Sit, sit!” she leads me towards the couch where she sits me down, Charlie taking a spot on my left and Jean on my right. Patrick opts for the armchair. “How did you meet our Charlie?” Jean queries, still holding onto my hands. “I work at the Music Store and Charlie just walked in one day and never stopped returning,” I leave some of the stuff out I thought on that first day I met him. “I just thought ‘Damn, my customer-service must be really good’.” Jean and Patrick laugh at this, and even Charlie can’t hide a smile. “Actually, your customer-service towards me wasn’t that great, Emmy. It was your voice that enchanted me that first day when you sang Wake Up,” says Charlie teasingly. “You’re a musician?” Patrick asks, perching up in his armchair. “I guess you could call it that. My uncle taught me to play guitar and piano, and we used to sing together at the top of our lungs. I’m now working to save up for the Music Academy, get a degree in music technology, so I actually know what I’m doing and go from there.” “She’s amazing, mom!” Charlie chimes in, “She’s even joined our band.” “Why don’t you get into this Music Academy, Charlie?” Jean asks him instead, the tension growing. “Get a degree so your future doesn’t depend on this band of yours.” “The Music Academy has just been a dream of mine and my Uncle Robert. Your son doesn’t need a degree in music. He’s born to do what he’s doing now,” I say, hoping it’ll thaw Jean’s heart a little, but I doubt it’s working. “Where I work, I meet a ton of musicians, we even have this monthly Open Mic Night where I had the privilege to hear your son play. Trust me, Jean, your son is a born Rockstar. People feel him when he plays. He gives them the serotonin they might not get in their daily life. That boy has magic in his fingers and his throat, it would be a shame if someone snuffed it out.” I glance at Charlie who offers me a tender smile. “I just don’t think music is a stable career. What if the band breaks up because they had a blowout? I love Jeremy and Owen to death, but you never know what happens.” I take a deep breath. This is where I lost my cool with my parents. I can’t do the same here because that’ll ruin everything for Charlie. I’m here to mend their relationship, not ruin it. “Is any career a stable career, really?” I let out an airy laugh. “There are so many musicians with stable careers, Jean, and I really, really think your son has what it takes to make it big out there with Jeremy and Owen. I’ve had the honor to spend time with all three of them and they’re like brothers. Always supportive of each other, always there to help. They’re the best of friends and nothing could ever break their bond, especially not the bond they have through music…” I trail off a little before taking a deep breath, “My parents kicked me out because I wanted to go to a college they didn’t approve of. That along with the passing of my uncle, I lost my connection with music a little but the guys, they brought that connection back into my life. Music is so important to all of us, especially to Charlie. Please, don’t take that away from him.” I notice a single tear escaping Jean’s eye, which is when I realize I’d started crying too. “I’m sorry you had to get through that, Emily,” Patrick chimes in, then turns to his wife, “What do you say, Jeanie? I think we should give Charlie the space to explore this Rockstar life of his.” I turn back to Jean, finding her nodding slowly. “Yeah, I think so too.” When I look at Charlie, he has the most surprised and tender look on his face as he and his mom get up and hug it out. “I really am proud of you, son.” I hear her whisper. Charlie looks at me from over his mother’s shoulder and offers me a thankful smile. At least I mended their relationship instead of ruining it like I did with my parents.
I didn’t even realize how late it was until Jean announced to us she was going to get to bed. Two am. We’ve been talking until two in the morning. After having mended the broken pieces between Charlie and his mom, we’d got entangled in a conversation about the band and life in general. These people are the nicest ever and I wish I could spend more time with them. “If you want, you can stay over tonight,” Jean tells me as she gets up. “Oh, uhm…” I glance over at Charlie, who’s just nodding his head. “Yeah, sure. Thank you.” She places a hand on my shoulder, looking me straight in the eye with the most thankful smile. “No, thank you,” she says and leaves the living room. “You’re a good egg, Emily. Welcome to the family,” Patrick tells me before heading upstairs with his wife. My heart is full. I almost feel as loved as the day of Uncle Robert’s anniversary of his passing when all the boys and Madi came over. I can’t believe my life. “If you want, you can stay in the guest room. You know, if you don’t feel comfortable sharing a bed with me,” Charlie says shyly, fidgeting with the bracelet around my wrist. “No, it’s fine,” his face lights up, “You’re the best cuddler anyway.” I lean in and press my lips to his before he grabs my hand and leads me up the stairs. In his bedroom, he hands me a shirt of his to sleep in, and then leaves to change in the bathroom, so I have some privacy in here. Once dressed – or half dressed in his shirt, I text Uncle Mitch to tell him I won’t be sleeping at home and begin looking around Charlie’s room. His walls are filled with band posters and the regular family picture scattered around. “Are you dressed?” I hear his voice from behind me, and when I turn around, I find him covering his eyes near the bedroom door. I chuckle, shaking my head amusedly, before walking up to him and taking his hands away from his face. “Oh, you are,” he breathes out and shuts the door. For a few seconds, we just stare at each other, smiling like complete fools. He then leads me towards his bed where we lie down, facing each other. “Thank you for what you said downstairs,” he whispers, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear, and leaving his hand on my neck. My hand reaches up to rest on his, my thumb rubbing circles on his skin. “It really means a lot.” “Just because I lost my parents because they didn’t support my dream, doesn’t mean your parents can’t either,” I tell him and press a kiss to his nose. “And you really are a gifted musician. You made me fall in love with writing songs with someone else again.” “And you made me fall in love again,” he adds with a careful smile tugging at his lips. “That too,” I respond, which only makes his smile grow before he presses his lips to mine. Ever since meeting Charlie, my life has changed so much. After what felt like the longest and worst year of my life, I finally feel alive again. I feel loved again. Like my body’s filled up with this fire that just ignites more and more energy to live again. Charlie and our music were that spark that ignited it all.

Timothée Chalamet and Eileen Atkins Interview - British Vogue May 2020
“Maybe your knuckles weren’t bleeding, but there was ice,” Timothée Chalamet tells Dame Eileen Atkins. He is recounting, with no small amount of awe, how he first came to hear of the legendary 85-year-old actor with whom he is about to appear at The Old Vic. It transpires that Oscar Isaac, Chalamet’s co-star in the upcoming blockbuster Dune, was at the receiving end of Atkins’ fist in Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood (all in the name of acting, of course). Chalamet was duly impressed.
“I gave him the worst time of his life,” says Atkins, bristling at the memory, before merrily launching into several candid, very dame-like stories from her time on set – “That was a nightmare movie. A nightmare.”
It is a Saturday afternoon in late February, and the two actors – one a titan of British theatre with an eight-decade career; the other, Hollywood’s most in-demand young leading man, with an insatiable Instagram following – have just finished being photographed together for Vogue. Chalamet, 24, in louche, low-slung denim and a white T-shirt, has folded his Bambi limbs into a chair next to Atkins, whose hawkish frame, in a navy jumper and jeans, belies her 85 years.
“Do you like being called Tim or Timothée or what?” Atkins asks in her warm but brisk RP, all trace of her Tottenham upbringing erased.
“Whatever works,” he replies in a bright American accent, that shock of chestnut hair falling into his eyes. “Anything.”
“So you won’t object to ‘darling’? I call everyone darling. I’m told I mustn’t say it these days.” He assures her he is fine with it: “It’s a rite of passage, being called darling by Dame Eileen Atkins.”
“You always, always, have to put the dame in, otherwise you can’t address me,” she jokes.
It’s good the two are getting all this sorted now. A couple of days after our interview they will begin rehearsals for a seven-week run of Amy Herzog’s play 4000 Miles, in which they star as a grandmother and grandson, each quietly dealing with their own grief. Chalamet takes on the role of Leo Joseph-Connell, a somewhat lost 21-year-old who experiences a tragedy while on a 4,000-mile-long cycle ride with his best friend. Atkins plays Vera Joseph, his widowed 91-year-old grandmother, upon whose Manhattan doorstep Leo unexpectedly arrives in the middle of the night, unsure of where else to go. What follows is a wonderful, and wonderfully witty, study in human relationships, a portrait of two generations with decades between them trying to make sense of the world.
Its stars, who’ve met twice previously, in New York last year, are still very much getting to know each other – and are confident in the appeal. “There are things like this play – hoping I don’t butcher it – where you can just sit back and go, ‘Oh, this is a delicious meal,’” says Chalamet. Atkins agrees. “I have a phrase in mind that I shouldn’t really say because it’s going to sound terrible in print.” Which is? “I find it a dear little play, a really dear little play. I think it should be very moving. But who knows? We might f**k it up.”
It’s unlikely. Atkins has been a regular on The Old Vic’s stage since the 1960s, going toe-to-toe with greats from Laurence Olivier to Alec Guinness, and fellow dames (and close friends) Maggie Smith and Judi Dench. Chalamet, meanwhile, is a relative novice, with only two professional plays under his belt. But since his turn as Elio in 2017’s Call Me by Your Name (for which he was Oscar-nominated), his celluloid rise has been meteoric. Roles in Lady Bird, Little Women, The King and Wes Anderson’s upcoming The French Dispatch have not only earned him the slightly fraught badge of “heart-throb, but proved him to be among the most captivating actors of his generation.
He says he couldn’t resist the opportunity to come to the capital. “There was something exciting about doing a play that feels very New York in London,” Chalamet explains of taking on the part. He’s a diehard theatre fan, too, revealing he saw the six-and-a-half-hour epic The Inheritance – twice. “There are films like The Dark Knight or Punch-Drunk Love or Parasite that can give you a special feeling. But nothing will be like seeing Death of a Salesman on Broadway with Philip Seymour Hoffman or A Raisin in the Sun with Denzel Washington.”
Herzog’s writing particularly spoke to him. “Leo’s in a stasis that was very appealing to me,” he continues. “We find our crisis in moments of stasis, but there’s an irony to it when you’re young, because the law of the land would have you think that to be young is to be having fun, to be coming into your own. But as everyone at this age who’s going through it knows, it’s often a shitshow.”
It’s safe to say that, in casting terms, director Matthew Warchus, also artistic director of The Old Vic, has hit the jackpot. He first took the play to Atkins three years ago, but it was only towards the end of 2019 that Chalamet came on board. When it was announced, in December, that Hollywood’s heir apparent to Leonardo DiCaprio would be making his London stage debut, the news was met with a level of hysteria not usually associated with the 202-year-old theatre’s crowd.
“Oh, my friends have told me who the audience is,” Atkins chimes in when I ask who they think will be coming to see the show. “It’s 40 per cent girls who want to go to bed with Timothée, it’s 40 per cent men who want to go to bed with Timothée, and it’s 20 per cent my old faithfuls.” Is Chalamet prepared for the onslaught? “I think it will be 100 per cent Eileen’s faithfuls,” he demurs.
On the surface, they can seem quite the odd couple. Chalamet, raised in Manhattan by an American dancer-turned-realtor mother and French father, an in-house editor at the United Nations, may be living a breathless, nomadic movie-star life but there’s an iron core of Gen Z earnestness there. He arrives on set with minimal fuss, even deciding to wear the clothes he came in for one shot, before knocking out some push-ups, politely ordering an omelette and generally being divinely well-mannered.
He turns on the star power for the camera, though, and I can confirm it’s as dazzling up close as it is on the red carpet, where he has, famously, casually redrawn the rules for male dressing. From that Louis Vuitton sparkly bib at the 2018 Golden Globes, to a dove-grey satin Haider Ackermann tux at Venice last year, he’s a true fashion darling. Then, of course, there’s his dating life – from Lourdes Ciccone Leon to Lily-Rose Depp – that remains an endless source of fascination to millions worldwide. (All this, it must be said, is of significantly less interest to Dame Eileen.)
Atkins started dance lessons aged three, shortly before the start of the Second World War. By 12, she was performing professionally in pantomime, not far from where she grew up in north London, the youngest daughter in a working-class family. A fast-established theatre star, wider fame didn’t find her until late in life. Despite memorable turns in Upstairs, Downstairs and Gosford Park, it was the 2000 television hits Cranford and Doc Martin, when she was in her early seventies, that finally made her a household name. Today, she lives alone in west London, since her second husband, the TV and film producer Bill Shepherd, died in 2016. She has often spoken of being happily childless, and has zero time for razzmatazz.
And yet, despite their differences, the pair appear perfectly matched. They already have their grandmother-grandson dynamic down pat. Atkins does a fine line in mischievous eyebrow-raising, and at one point recites a limerick that is, honestly, so rude it almost makes her co-star blush. Chalamet, meanwhile, is politeness personified, still trying to work out his thoughts on various subjects, less inclined to give so much of himself away. There is a physical likeness, too, in their delicate features and fine bone structure. They share a naturally melancholic look, one that melts away when they laugh.
Their upcoming play, which premiered to rapturous reviews Off-Broadway in 2011, “about a block” from Chalamet’s high school, LaGuardia, could have been written for them. “Other than not being American, I’m very like the old woman,” says Atkins of the Pulitzer-shortlisted play. “I can’t be bothered to learn the internet.” If there’s one thing she won’t tolerate in rehearsals, it’s people on their phones. That’s the only thing that will “piss me off ”, she says, brusquely.
Ah, phones. Are they really the symbol of generational disconnect? “It’s easy to point to these things,” Chalamet says, tapping his phone on the table, “as the cause or the symptom, but I think my generation is a guinea pig generation of sorts. We’re figuring out the pros and cons and limits of technology.”
Equally, Atkins is keen to distance herself from some of the criticism levelled at her age group. “There’s a saying isn’t there: if you’re not very left wing when you’re young, you’re heartless. And if you’re not very right wing when you’re old, you’re foolish. I’m not political, but I’m not with this government I can assure you – and I’m not with Brexit. I wanted to wear a sweater saying ‘I did not vote Brexit’, because it was all old people who did. Not me, not me,” she snaps. “I went on the march.”
Both are in agreement that intergenerational friendships are too rare these days. “So. Important,” Chalamet says, hitting the table between each word. “There is so much to learn from people who have walked the path of life. That’s why I’m so looking forward to these next couple of months.”
Atkins is thoughtful on the matter. “I don’t miss the fact I don’t have children, but I do envy my friends who have grandchildren,” she says. “About five or six years ago I met a couple of young people – they are just about 30 this year – and, do you know, we go out together. And people immediately say to me, ‘Are these your grandchildren?’ And I say, ‘No.’ And they say, ‘Your godchildren?’ And I say, ‘No, they’re just friends.’ Everybody thinks there is something weird about all three of us. They just don’t get it. But the boy makes me laugh more than anybody and the girl is enchanting. I have more fun with them than I do with almost anybody else.”
I remind Atkins about her description of today’s youth as being overly serious. “I do call them the New Puritans, yes,” she says, before motioning to her young co-star. “He probably drinks like a fish.”
Chalamet, currently single, is remaining tight-lipped about plans for his new London life, and how many late-night manoeuvres in Soho or Peckham it may involve. “I’ve got friends here, which is nice. But I’m here for this – to be terrified at The Old Vic.”
Before we leave, there is a final thing to clear up – Atkins’ aforementioned limerick. “Do you know about the Colin Farrell situation?” Eileen asks Timothée. No, comes his reply. “Better get it over with now because someone will tell you,” she says, proceeding to explain how, when she was “69, about to be 70” and filming Ask the Dust with a 27-year-old Farrell, “he made a pass at me. He came to my hotel room. He was enchanting. I let him chat for two hours, thoroughly enjoying it, but no not that. He was very cross I didn’t.”
But then, she explains guiltily, she later told the story during “some stupid TV show” (Loose Women), where despite her best efforts at keeping Farrell’s identity secret, the internet did its thing and news got out. An apology to Farrell was required. “So I left a limerick on Colin’s phone…” she says. She clears her throat: “There once was a **** of a dame…” she begins, in her imitable theatrical timbre, before reeling off one of the filthiest rhymes I’ve ever heard.
There is a moment of stunned laughter. “Wow, that’s sincerely amazing,” comes Chalamet’s response, as Atkins finishes the verse. He gives her a solemn oath: “I promise I won’t hit on you.”
4000 Miles is at The Old Vic, SE1, from 6 April

The camera pans towards the stage that resembles the inside of a ballerina box, the walls LED screens as well as stage flooring being a matte pink texture. The spotlight is on Misa who is on top of a higher platform like an actual ballerina in a box and dressed as what she’s been known for before becoming a pop star: a ballerina. Misa has blonde hair, drawn into a formal updo as she does an intricate ballet routine to the piano version of My Way being played by a pianist off stage. After 45 seconds, a figure can be seen walking up to her clad in an outfit that is much darker than what Misa is wearing. Just as the piano version of the song is about to play the chorus, the figure pushes Misa causing her to fall backwards and off-of camera. As she falls, Misa begins to glitch out indicating that the ballet performance was simply a holographic version of Misa. The beginning scream of Sweet But Pyscho can be heard as she falls. The darkly dressed figured turns around and reveals themselves to be Misa Misa: the popstar. The lighting of the stage grows darker as the studio instrumental begins to play and Misa begins to sing the beginning chorus. In character, Misa appears both tempting and evil as she works the camera:
“ oh, she's sweet but a psycho a little bit psycho a night she's screamin' i'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind. oh, she's hot but a psycho so left but she's right though at night she's screamin', i'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind. ”
The LED screens slowly fade into padded walls and floors that pulse to the beat of the song. A group of seven background dancers dressed in similar steam punk costumes join Misa on different levels of the stage’s platform which resembles a ballerina box with mini staircases on the side. The dancers along with Misa do full pop choreo to the first verse of the song:
“ she'll make you curse, but she a blessing. she'll rip your shirt within a second you'll be coming back, back for seconds. with your plate, you just can't help it. ”
As the pre-chorus come in, holographic Misa frantically appears in front of Misa Misa dramatically doing ballet choreography in a way that’s telling Misa Misa and her dancers to stop the pop choreo. ( no. no ) but Misa Misa continues the pop choreo much to holographic Misa’s despair. Misa Misa and holagraphic Misa go back and forth to the pre-chorus of the song ballet style and pop style. Eventually, Misa Misa grows tired of the back and forth and blows “magic dust” (glitter) in holographic Misa’s face causing her to glitch out once more and disappear ( ‘cause she’s messin’ with you head ) leaving Misa Misa and her gang of dancers to continue into the chorus.
“ no, no you'll play along let her lead you on you'll be sayin', no, no. then saying, yes, yes, yes, cause she messin' with your head. ”
Misa does full choreo with her dancers all in formation in the middle of the stage, keeping up the theatrical theme of the song by holding her head in her hands and twitchily doing the dance moves during the ( i'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind ) parts. The dancing is sharp, sexual and dark.
“ oh, she's sweet but a psycho a little bit psycho a night she's screamin' i'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind. oh, she's hot but a psycho so left but she's right though at night she's screamin', i'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind. ”
For the second chorus, Misa grabs hold of the camera so that her face up close to it, working the camera as she continues singing walking through the stage and appearing paranoid and hysteric, still in character. At the end of the chorus she smacks the camera away appearing angered. ( i’m-ma-ma-ma out my mind )
“ grab a cocked gun. kinda crazy she's poison but tasty yeah, people say, run, don't walk away. 'cause she's sweet but a psycho a little bit psycho at night she's screamin', i'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind. ”
Returning to their positions on the platform that represents the ballerina box, Misa Misa and her dancers continue choreography. The LED screen shows holographic Misa performing the second verse in a begging and pleading manner, still doing ballet choreo while Misa Misa and her dancers are also seen in the back doing the pop choreo that seems to be what holographic Misa is trying to stop.
“ see, someone said, don't drink her potions she'll kiss your neck with no emotions. when she's mean, you know you love it. she tastes so sweet. don't sugarcoat it. "
An LED spotlight causes Misa Misa to appear as if she was slowly turning back into the ballerina form that resembled holographic Misa; her outfit starting to appear more white and covered up. Noticing this, Misa Misa appears rebellious and frantic while the other dancers tried to pull her out of the light. ( no, no ) Doing additional pop choreo to cause the light to fade. Misa does a vocal run before the chorus. ( messin’ with your head )
“ no, no you'll play along let her lead you on you'll be sayin', no, no. then saying, yes, yes, yes, cause she messin' with your head. ”
Misa resumes the full chorus-choreo with her dancers in the middle of the stage, this time the LED spotlights shining on the entire crew causing them to appear as if they’re all changing into prim ballet dancers and not rebellious pop dancers. They all appear to be going crazy trying to stop it, showing this emotion through face and choreography.
“ oh, she's sweet but a psycho a little bit psycho a night she's screamin' i'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind. oh, she's hot but a psycho so left but she's right though at night she's screamin', i'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind. ”
As Misa Misa and her dance crew go mad trying to stop the light from making them what they don’t want to be, holographic Misa appears once again at her original position, on top of the music box. It can’t be determined if she’s happy or distraught by her face but she dramatically does ballet choreo to the second chorus of the song. Mid-stage, Misa Misa continue the planned second chorus choreography, moving to different positions of the stage to get out of the light. Near-defeated, Misa Misa and co. hold their heads death-dropping to the floor for the bridge breakdown.
“ grab a cocked gun. kinda crazy she's poison but tasty yeah, people say, run, don't walk away. 'cause she's sweet but a psycho a little bit psycho at night she's screamin', i'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind. ”
As the beat breaksdown, the dancer return to stage holding mirrors, assembling around Misa Misa so that she’s dancing in front of her reflections. They do choreo that keeps her huddled around in the mirror, which is really an LED screen showing her reflection as holographic Misa trying to get her to be a ballerina again. Misa Misa and holographic Misa both do choreography, fighting one another. Misa hits the background whistle notes at the end of the bridge ( don’t love the pain ) powerfully breaking free from the mirrors and causing holographic Misa to completely glitch out.
“ you're just like me, you're out your mind. i know it's strange. we're both the crazy kind you're tellin' me that i'm insane. boy, don't pretend that you don't love the pain. ”
Misa Misa and her dancers who are now free from the “light” do energetic and flawless choreography to the chorus one more, in a horizontal dance formation. Misa hits the vocal run at the end of the chorus as the crew moved backwards getting into their respective positions on the platforms. ( i’m-ma-ma-ma out my mind )
“ oh, she's sweet but a psycho a little bit psycho a night she's screamin' i'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind. oh, she's hot but a psycho so left but she's right though at night she's screamin', i'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind. ”
Misa Misa continues the choreography, hitting extra runs at the respective parts ( run don’t walk away ) / ( oh, a little bit psycho ) holographic Misa can be seen in the walls of the stage behind them trapped inside. As they song ends, Misa Misa puts herself in the same first positions that began the performance; appearing to be a darker version of the ballerina in the box. Misa and her dancers stand statue still, as they song stops.
“ grab a cocked gun. kinda crazy she's poison but tasty yeah, people say, run, don't walk away. 'cause she's sweet but a psycho a little bit psycho at night she's screamin', i'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind. ”

Love Down the Line: Chapter 9
The last thing Indie musician Emma Swan needs is a gigantic wrench thrown in the workings of her biggest tour to date weeks before its launch. When her backing guitarist that caused the problem says she has the perfect solution Emma is skeptical but left with little choice but to accept. Unfortunately she isn’t really prepared for said solution to be former Rock Star and leading man of Emma’s teenage fantasies, Killian Jones. With no other options and a month of performing across the country ahead of her Emma just hopes she doesn’t come to regret letting Killian onto her stage and into her life.

~*CS*~
Los Angeles, May 24th
“-and there’s a bit of a backup on the 405 just south of the 10 due to a two car accident in the southbound lanes. That’s the morning traffic report brought to you by your local Southern California Honda dealer. This is Treena in the morn’ and I got some Yaz on the way along with Echo and the Bunnymen and Talking Heads after this-”
“A clock radio?” Emma mumbled into the pillow, “Really? What are you, like, three hundred?”
Killian’s chuckle stirred the hair at the back of her neck, “Try thirty-five, love.”
“So you say,” she groused as he reached over her to turn off the alarm. She blinked up at him as he set his hands on either side of her shoulders, looming over her with a smile, “I bet you still have a landline, old man.”
“And a rather impressive laserdisc collection,” he said with a wink.
“You would.”
He laughed, a bright joyous thing that had her smile stretching from ear to ear. It was the last of the three days of no shows that they had while in LA and the second morning she’d woken in the bed of Killian’s house in Malibu. Since their first night together in Denver they hadn’t slept apart, much to Tink’s delight and Will’s annoyance. When they’d arrived in LA Emma had been surprised and pleased to discover that Killian had a house there where no one would disturb them as long as they kept their phones on silent. Unfortunately it hadn’t really been an option as her suddenly vibrating phone reminded her.
“What time is Regina sending the car?” Killian asked as he dipped his head and started trailing kisses down her throat.
She hummed in pleasure, blindly swiping at her phone to dismiss the call, “Nine. We’re having brunch with people from the label to talk about the next album and then it’s interviews for the rest of the afternoon.”
“And after all that we’ll rendezvous back here for dinner and a bit of Netflix and chill,” he murmured into her collarbone before dragging his tongue across it.
“You go-” her breath hitched as his hand travelled up her thigh, “going somewhere?”
He paused his ministrations, much to her frustration, and said somberly, “Aye, Robin still lives out here with his son. I haven’t been in town for… well, quite a while and I’m long overdue for a visit.”
The delicious tension she’d been feeling mellowed into something warm and soothing at his earnestness. Ever since they’d landed he’d waxed nostalgic about all the things he’d used to do in the city, places he’d eaten that he wasn’t sure were still around, venues he’d played, museums he’d spent hours getting lost in and all the interesting people he’d met in that time. What he hadn’t mentioned once was his former bandmate and friend. In the bright morning light streaming through the wall of windows she could see that for some reason he was nervous about seeing him again.
“You guys talk all the time,” she reminded him, reaching up to run her fingers through his hair and cupping his cheek, “I interrupted one of your FaceTime dates just a couple of days ago.”
Killian chuckled, “Aye, and don’t think I haven’t received more than my fair share of nosey texts about that since.”
She blushed, forgetting that when she’d done the interrupting she’d been wearing one of his shirts and not much else.
“Seeing as Robin has come to Boston several times in the years that I’ve been there it’s only fitting that he gets to monopolize some of my time while I’m here,” he said, one shoulder lifting higher than the other in a half shrug. “I’ll be home by the time you’re done with your interviews.”
“You don’t have to rush back just for me,” she said quickly, guilt already pulling at her, “Just text me when your male bonding time is over.”
“We’ll deal with the logistics later, love,” he murmured, turning his head slightly to press a kiss to her palm, “For now I’d like to pick up where we left off before-”
Emma sighed in disappointment as her phone began to vibrate again. Knowing that Regina was the only one who would not only call but do so before nine a.m. no matter the time zone she couldn’t ignore it. She’d made the mistake of doing it before a show in Arizona once and had sworn Regina would have pushed her into the Grand Canyon if she’d been given the opportunity.
Gently nudging Killian off of her with an apology she sat up and grabbed her phone. Killian sat up behind her, pushing her hair to one side as he nuzzled into her neck. Giggling but in no way discouraging him she swiped up to answer.
Regina started talking the second the call connected, “The car will be there in thirty minutes to take you straight to the restaurant-”
“Wait, what?” Emma jerked away from Killian’s ministrations to look at the clock on the bedside table and saw it was only a little after seven. “I thought you said it’d be here at nine!”
“Plans have changed,” Regina said off-handedly. “The brunch meeting is now a breakfast meeting and I’ve pushed up one of your radio interviews to give you the time you’ll need for the streaming exclusives.”
“Exclusives?” She asked warily.
“Enchanted XM wants you to curate a ten song playlist and record intros for their Alt Rock station and then there will be an in-depth interview with one of their djs. Snowdrops and Buttercups has been their number one request since its debut and is poised to take the number one spot on the chart next week. It’s also been getting increasing play on their hits station. We need to strike while the iron’s hot.”
Emma tipped her head back to stare at the ceiling as she counted to ten to keep her patience. She was well aware that self promotion came with the territory, especially as a solo artist, and usually she had no problem giving interviews or whatever little fun extras needed to do so. What she hated was that Regina tended to take liberties with her schedule whenever they were in a big enough city and there was extra down time. It was all the more frustrating that Regina knew that things between her and Killian had shifted and apparently didn’t care about infringing on their time alone together.
“We’ll still be done by six right?” She asked, resigned, Killian’s warm hand gliding across her shoulders calming her much more than her counting had.
“Yes,” Regina huffed and Emma could practically hear her eyes rolling, “You and lover boy can have your romantic evening together and don’t think we won’t be discussing how to play whatever it is you two are doing to the press.”
“Really?” She growled.
“Really.”
Before Emma could even begin to shoot down that idea Regina had hung up, leaving her staring at the phone in her hand with disbelief and anger. Even Killian’s gentle ministrations were no longer helping.
“I need to get ready,” she said mournfully, moving to stand from the bed.
Killian stopped her with a hand on her wrist, “Everything alright, love?”
“Yeah, everything’s great. The meeting with the label got moved and there’s already a car on its way. Which normally wouldn’t be a big deal but-” she shrugged, still angry but also starting to blush, “We were getting to the good stuff.”
“That we were,” he agreed with a salacious grin. Then the grin faded and he narrowed his eyes at her, “Was there something else she said? You seem upset over more than just an earlier meeting.”
Emma hesitated. As much as she wanted to share her frustration with Regina dictating her life she couldn’t do so without bringing up the questions she’d successfully avoided since the morning after they’d first slept together. First and foremost, was what they were doing just as important to him as it was to her and if it was, then what did that mean for them once the tour was over and they returned to their respective lives. Chickening out she figured they could talk it over later, when there wasn’t a time constraint or a full day of interviews where she’d need to keep focused.
She shook her head and smiled, “Nothing you need to worry about. Regina just has me getting some list of songs together for some streaming thing and I have no idea what I’m going to pick. It takes me two hours to edit the playlists I already have, how the hell am I supposed to choose ten songs and then talk about them?”
“Simple, pick one of your playlists, put it on random and the first ten songs that play are the ones you choose,” he said easily. “You already know and enjoy those songs if you spent two hours picking them and there’s no pressure of trying to curate a perfect list from scratch.”
“That’s… actually a really good idea-” she beamed, grabbing her phone and bouncing up from the bed. She spun around and gave what she hoped was a come hither look, “You know, I hear California is in a drought. It’d be a shame to waste water by taking separate showers.”
His lips curled wickedly, “I’d say that I love the way your mind works, Swan.”
Taking his hand she led him into the bathroom and made good use of the less than twenty minutes they had before her car arrived. Several hours later, however, she wished she had pushed back a little more against the schedule Regina had set up for her. Of course she’d had no way of knowing that her too short morning with Killian was going to be the least stressful of her day.
Sitting in one of the green rooms at Enchanted XM between the recording session for her song picks and her interview she let her eyes slide shut. It had already been a long day and it was nowhere near being over and done with. The breakfast meeting had been good, the representatives from the label had been pleased that she had already written a few songs that she felt were strong contenders for the next album and they had easily agreed to giving her three months off after the tour to work on the rest. Even Regina had been pleased with the meeting, if her short and not too unreasonable list of demands for moving forward were any indication.
The interview she’d done directly after had been the kind that she’d gotten used to over the years. Questions that were more often than not the same ones others had asked her time and again. She’d gotten good at making it sound like she was hearing them for the first time and varying her answers just enough so she didn’t sound like a robot. The best part were the teasing texts from Killian waiting for her once she was done. She was surprised and touched that he had taken the time out of his day to listen to her interview, especially since he knew how unexciting they could be.
As her day continued Regina had left her to make her way to the Enchanted XM studios on her own. Once there she had immediately had to get to work ironing out her list of songs and recorded the intros with the program producer. It had been more fun than she’d anticipated. She’d already had her choices written down in one of her ever present notebooks, having listened to a randomized playlist in the car on her way to breakfast like Killian had suggested. The first ten songs that had played had been perfect but she’d made one substitution to make sure that a Realm of Jewels song was one of her picks. It was her thank you to Killian for giving her the idea in the first place and a not so subtle wink to whatever was going on between them.
The producer, a woman named Gwen, had been impressed with her choices. They’d spent nearly an hour talking them over, working through a rough script of what she would say about each one. Then she had been taken to a small recording booth where it had taken less than an hour to get what they needed. She’d wanted to text Killian about it but Gwen had immediately invited her to lunch and she hadn’t had the chance. Once they’d returned to Enchanted’s headquarters she’d been asked to record a few small promos for the stations that played her songs in heavy rotation. Not willing to say no she’d been ushered to another recording booth with barely any time to take a breath.
Being left alone in the green room was a welcome break from what had become an increasingly busy day. Just as she was about to pull out her phone for the first time since after her first interview the door opened and Regina stormed in, angrily snapping at whoever the poor soul was that was still in the hallway.
“-not recording as scheduled and I want to know why a rider was requested when nothing that is on it is in this room. There’s not even a bottle of water. See that it gets taken care of.”
“Of course, Ms. Mills.”
The disembodied voice wavered slightly and Emma's earlier annoyance at Regina flared back up.
“The water that’s in here is fine,” she called out, leaning forward and catching the eye of the young woman in the hallway giving her an apologetic smile. She turned pointedly to Regina and glared, “I don’t need anything else.”
“That’s not the point,” Regina sniffed, her dark eyes narrowing followed by the sound of retreating footsteps. “Certain expectations were to be met and they weren’t. Just one more thing this company has failed at. I have a mind to stop booking appearances here if they’ll just be treated like this.”
“Okay, this is about something more than water bottles and a missing box of Milk Duds. What’s going on?” Emma asked suspiciously.
Regina pursed her lips as she took out her phone and began rapidly typing. Emma waited patiently for her to answer, knowing better than to push if she wanted to keep her head on her shoulders. With a final tap on her screen Regina focused back on her with a wary look that immediately had her on edge.
“You were supposed to do the on air interview with Graham Humbert but apparently due to an ‘unfortunate’-” Regina rolled her eyes, “scheduling conflict you have to do it with Walsh Hoakley instead.”
Emma groaned. An interview with Graham would have been fun and easy. They’d both gotten their start in the business around the same time, so he not only knew what types of questions she enjoyed answering but what her boundaries were when it came to her personal life. Walsh, on the other hand, was the complete opposite.
Every interview she’d had with him had her sitting through bad jokes and his comparing her career against his own. He had been the frontman of a pop punk group that had taken a break almost a decade before, though he insisted that it was only a matter of time before they would release another album. It was bad enough she had to play nice as he gave her unsolicited advice but once the mics were turned off he tended to dial up his smarmy charm and invite her out for drinks or a meal. She’d always firmly said no but he’d kept it up and after their last interview nearly two years earlier she’d told Regina that she preferred not to do any more with him.
“I thought he was with that big station in New York,” she said sullenly.
“Apparently not,” Regina sniffed. Her eyes softened fractionally, “Do you want me to reschedule?”
“No,” she sighed, “We’re already here and I know we don’t have any time to come back while we’re still in LA. Plus I don’t want rumors starting that I’m being difficult over Walsh Hoakley. I don’t want to give him that honor.”
Regina smirked, “I’m sure he’d dine out on that for years.”
“He would. So where’d you disappear to?” Emma asked, through talking about Walsh.
“I do have other clients that happen to conveniently live where their label’s offices and some of the best recording studios are,” Regina said drolly, perching herself delicately on a chair. “You might want to reexamine the benefits of moving out here after this tour is done. You’re only going to get bigger from here on out.”
She hummed noncommittally. For a few seconds she let herself daydream about moving into Killian’s beachfront house, waking up in his arms every morning before heading to the studio that would admittedly be leaps and bounds better than the one back in Maine. She could almost see herself returning at the end of her day to find Killian preparing dinner in the kitchen or strumming his guitar on the balcony. Before her thoughts went any further than that she stopped them in their tracks, forcing herself to remember all the reasons why she loved living in Storybrooke and to not let herself get wrapped up in a fantasy. She didn’t let herself dwell on how her imaginings had given her the same feelings of home that her real memories of Storybrooke did.
Ten minutes and an increasingly impatient Regina later another assistant came to show them to the recording booth. From behind the glass they watched as Walsh introduced the next group of songs that would be playing and teased her interview. As soon as he switched off his mic she was ushered into the booth, shown which headphones and mic to use and then left alone with him. To her great relief he smiled and shook her hand, seemingly not knowing that she had requested not to do interviews with him. She smiled back, settling in the chair in front of the mic she’d been shown and adjusted everything to her liking. As they waited for the queued songs to finish playing they made small talk about their day and the thankfully very few mutual acquaintances they had.
The interview started off well. Walsh only mentioned his band Behind the Curtain twice and kept his advice to a minimum. Emma found herself actually enjoying the questions he asked, responding with enthusiasm when he asked about living in Maine and her writing process. She was so caught up in lightheartedly debating with him over notebooks versus a phone app to write lyrics that she was surprised when he mentioned that their time was drawing to a close.
“So, Emma, before you go, how has this tour been so far? You’ve only got a few shows left right?”
“Yeah, just the last few cities heading north but it’s been really, really great,” she enthused, “This is the biggest tour I’ve ever done and the fans have been amazing in every city we’ve played. I’m actually really looking forward to tomorrow night’s show since it’s where they have the Oscars.”
“Right, the Dolby theater, when we played it was still the Kodak and it’s a great venue. Bigger than what you would think when you see it on tv,” Walsh said with a wink and a grin.
Emma fought against a cringe at his bad innuendo, glad that he hadn’t been like that through the whole interview.
“I haven’t had a chance to get in the space yet and, I know this is really nerdy or whatever, but I’m really excited to stand on the same stage that some of my favorite actors have been on. I mean, some of my idols have played there and it’s always an honor to get to perform where they have too, but come on, tomorrow I could be standing in the exact spot where Meryl Streep or Tom Hanks or Oprah have stood. Oprah!”
Walsh chuckled, “So you still get starstruck meeting other celebrities?”
“Oh, yeah,” she said with a nod. “I don’t even think of myself as a celebrity. I live in the same town I mostly grew up in, all my friends are ones I’ve had since before I even thought about recording an album, I don’t even have ‘people’ or whatever. I nearly had a heart attack seeing Lady Gaga from across the room at a benefit concert once.”
“So how was it when you met Killian Jones, famous guitarist for Realm of Jewels, before the start of your tour?”
She shot a glance to the window into the sound booth where Regina had been throughout the whole interview. Regina barely looked up from her phone and nodded, twirling her hand in a gesture Emma took to mean keep going. They had talked about what would happen when Killian was finally recognized but the longer they went without it happening the more she had convinced herself that they could get through the whole tour with no one the wiser. It seemed their time was up. Taking a deep breath to settle her racing heart she looked back at Walsh and found him watching her closely.
“I was surprised and a little annoyed actually,” she said with a small laugh. “Ruby, the guitarist I usually tour with, had broken her arm but said that she’d found her replacement for me. The thing was she wouldn’t tell me who it was so I walked into the recording studio and Killian was there. Realm of Jewels was one of my favorite bands, still is, so seeing him sitting there was a kinda surreal fangirl moment and intimidating too, knowing how good of a guitarist he is.”
“Rumors have been circulating on social media for a few weeks that it was Killian onstage for your tour and then earlier this afternoon uber-producer Robin Locksley seemed to confirm it-” Walsh pulled up a sheet of paper and began reading, “He said in an interview: ‘I’m very excited to begin working with Killian Jones on new music and other projects moving forward. He’s been touring the past few weeks as a backing guitarist and he told me it’s been a great first step to getting back out there. I was even fortunate enough to hear a few rough cuts of songs he’s already written for a new solo album and they’re amazing. I really can’t wait.’ Since you’ve confirmed it yourself have you heard any of his new songs while on the road? He’s already with your label and turns out he signed on with your manager Regina Mills back in March so will the rest of the tour be a double bill? Maybe even a possibility of a duet in the future?”
Emma felt dazed, like she’d been hit with a pillow shot out of a cannon. She had completely forgotten that Robin had become a music producer after Liam and Milah had died. He’d even sent her an email after her last album had been released, saying he wanted to work with her at some point. That little detail was nothing compared to the realization that Killian hadn’t mentioned that his lunch with Robin was really about business. He hadn’t even hinted that he had whole songs written let alone recorded anything. Worst of all was that he had signed on with Regina before he’d joined the tour and she knew without a doubt Regina would do anything necessary to further a client’s career. Especially if the final outcome would prove advantageous for two clients at once.
“I, uh, haven’t listened to anything he’s recorded-”
Her phone buzzed at her elbow. There were several notifications but the preview screen showed a text from Regina. She opened it in a daze.
Regina: No double billing, play coy about duet, plug rest of tour, still seats in Vancouver
The fog she’d been in cleared away as white hot anger took its place. She looked at Regina through the glass and found her making the same ‘continue on’ motion she had before. There was no sign of an apology on her features, only impatience and the ever present look of expectation that she perform well. While acting wasn’t her forte she was more than ready to give the performance of a lifetime.
“Killian was only brought on temporarily until Ruby was well enough to play again. Luckily her recovery happened to work out perfectly with us arriving in LA-” she knew she sounded too upbeat but pushed through, “I’m sorry to dash any hopes but Killian has decided to stay here and focus on his own music. Ruby will be back for tomorrow night’s show and will be finishing out the tour. We’re sold out for most of those shows but I think there’s still some tickets left for Vancouver, but not many.”
“So, no duet?” Walsh asked hopefully and Emma wasn’t sure if he meant musically or hinting at something between her and Killian.
“Nope,” she said decisively, her heart cracking as she did. “I’ll be taking some time off after this tour is done. Rest and relaxation are the only duets I’ll be performing any time soon.”
Walsh laughed, “Now that’s a duo everyone loves. Well, Emma, it’s been great talking to you.”
“You too,” she said with feigned pleasure.
“Here’s Emma’s latest single ‘Snowdrops and Buttercups’ which has been flying up the charts. Safe to say you’ll be playing it tomorrow?”
“Yup. It’s been fun to see the responses get more enthusiastic as it gets played on the radio more,” she said, finally feeling like she was being genuine.
“That’s always a great feeling,” Walsh said with a grin. “Alright, here it is ‘Snowdrops and Buttercups’. Thanks for stopping by, Emma.”
“Thanks for having me.”
As the first notes of her song filled the studio Emma ripped off the headphones, ignoring the constant buzz of her phone at her elbow. She wasn’t sure who it was that was calling, she’d told everyone important to her about the interview and she knew they had probably all tuned in to listen. With the way her pulse was pounding in her temples she wasn’t too sure she could keep herself from unfairly snapping at whoever it was and whatever questions they were going to have.
“Emma?”
She looked up at Walsh and by the way his grin faltered a bit she was sure that her anger was painted clear across her face.
“Yeah?”
“Er, I was wondering if you wanted to grab a drink?” He asked hesitantly. “Talk a little shop, maybe?”
“I already have plans,” she said shortly, the words tasting like the ashes of the evening she originally thought she’d be having.
“Coffee then? Or lunch? I’m up for anything really,” He said with a wink and a chuckle.
“Look, I don’t know how much more clear I can make this but I’m not ‘up’ for doing anything with you,” she snapped, his annoying persistence the final straw. “I thought that you’d gotten better than the last time you tried this but apparently not.”
She snatched up her phone and turned to leave when she heard him scoff and mutter something under his breath. She spun back to face him.
“Wanna share with the whole room?”
“Yeah, actually,” he said with a sneer that twisted his face into something vicious. “You act all high and mighty but you’re just a step away from falling into obscurity just like me. That whole thing about Jones was given to me by your people and by tomorrow morning both your careers will be reaping the benefits from it. I could have helped you along even further with the contacts I have in this business.”
Emma gaped at him, “By going out with you? Classy, you sack of shit.”
Something flashed in Walsh’s eyes, “You-”
“Emma! Let’s go, now.”
For half a second she was grateful that Regina had burst into the room, then she remembered why she was angry in the first place. She brushed past her, ignoring her stream of hissing admonishments and the stuttered apologies of the producer. Halfway back to the green room she realized her phone was still buzzing non-stop. Her stomach lurched, not wanting to know if it was Killian calling when she was walking the thin line between yelling at him or breaking down in tears. Steeling herself she finally looked at the screen and breathed a sigh of relief, swiping to answer.
“Ruby, pack your shit. I need you in LA tonight.”

Hey guys! So I’m new to tumblr and thought it would be cool to tell you all my Swiftie story so far...
So, much like Abigail and Taylor. My best friend Eden, and I, met in school. We were inseparable from day 1. One fateful day, I asked Eden what she was listening to on her IPod Nano (Yes I am that old) and she replied ‘oh, it’s Taylor swift’
‘Who’s Taylor swift?’ I asked.
Little did I know that this would change my life forever. The first song I ever heard from Taylor, was Teardrops on my guitar. I fell in love with her lyrics, her way of painting a picture with words that you could easily envision, and I truly fell down the rabbit hole. I quickly discovered Mean, and then her second album Fearless which became the soundtrack to any situation in my life.
My friendship with Eden blossomed also, for we shared what could only be described as true magic. After finding Taylor, it was easy to ignore the bullying that came with being an outcast in school, that so many, unfortunately- can relate to. Instead of paying attention to cruel rumours, twisted whispers or shouted insults across the classroom, we choose instead to listen to Taylor. The outside, to this day, remains one of my absolute favourites.
Flash forward some years and we’re going into 2011. It’s a new year, we’re about to go up to secondary school (The beginning of high school) and I get a call from my dad.
‘Did you say it was, Taylor Swift, you liked?’
Turns out, a friend who worked in the 02 Arena London, had asked my dad if he wanted spare tickets for the Speak Now tour. Of course, we both jumped at such an amazing opportunity.
Going to the tour turned us from causal fans, into full blown swifties, going to school with 13 sharpied on our hands, singing her songs on the school bus and not caring what anyone else had to say. For we had each other, and Taylor.
When RED came out, we rushed to HMV to get our copies. We played every song on repeat while dancing around our rooms. Our parents looked on, almost befuddled as to why, and how, we loved what they perceived as, a complete stranger.
But Taylor was never a stranger, and every Swiftie will agree. Hearing her songs, feeling those lyrics and applying them to all kinds of things we all go through, well that makes Taylor our friend, a big sister, someone older and wiser, that we all look up to.
After months and months of saving up, the time came for the RED tour to be announced, and tickets to go on sale. To say that we were crazy, would be an understatement. We each took the day off school to sit at the computer, refreshing and refreshing until BAM! they were live. We managed to snatch up 4 tickets, because we were only 14 then and we needed our parents with us.
We were ecstatic. I cried for about a week. We both couldn’t believe we’d got them. The Speak Now tour, although absolutely phenomenal, had happened very quick, almost in a blur. But this time. We could prepare, we could, get Red-y!
So thus began operation ‘Road to Red’. A 6 month mission, with every detail planned to perfection, to bring our A game to the RED tour. We wanted to stand out to Taylor and show her just how much we adore her.
We decided to make a sign that spelled out ‘Love’ because the RED album was romantic and it fit the era completely. At the time, Taylor had 4 albums out. Her self-titled Debut, Fearless, Speak Now and RED. So we assigned an album to each letter of the word, we picked them out in a hat. I got Speak Now and Debut, Eden got Fearless and RED.
We cut out the shape of each letter (with help from my amazing dad) we attached tinsel & fairly lights round the outside and wrote lyrics on every letter, adding our favourite photos for each album also. It took around 3 months to finish each letter.
We then moved onto costumes. What would we wear? We brainstormed for hours and finally agreed on a very elaborate, Taylor-esque outfit. We choose American flag leggings, White tutus (similar to the one she wore while performing Treacherous) glitzy red cowboy boots, home made ‘are you ready’ T-shirts, paired with baseball jackets with ‘13’ ironed on. We also wore red cowboy hats, ‘13’ necklaces, light up belts that spelled ‘RED’, and light up gloves, with each outfit finished with carefully home made Taylor swift badges.
We then worked on our gift basket to Taylor, consisting off a Scottish Fold calendar, London teddy bear, Cat pyjamas, A cat plush wearing a ‘Meredith loves Taylor’ tee, our letters to Taylor and lots of British Tea and candy. (all wrapped up with glittery paper, light up roses and a big bow)
We were truly ready for the best night of our lives. (After convincing both our mums to wear the outfits and carry a letter)
I don’t have many words to describe how I felt as we walked through the 02 being asked for pictures with other fans, or how I felt when Taylor’s guitarist Paul spotted us and waved. Or when we were on the RED tour fan cam not once, not twice, but three times!
Enchanted. That’s the word. For those 2 and a half hours, I was absolutely wonderstruck with Taylor’s talent, the love from all the other swifties and the privilege of just being there.
Unfortunately, a few months after the tour my father passed away from depression. He was my rock, my cheerleader, and Eden and I never would have been able to make the signs and do everything else, without him.
It’s not been easy. It’s been very, very hard. There’s been a lot of changes that come with losing a parent, and a lot of healing that is still in progress but the one thing that has always been my constant, my escape, my way of surviving, is Taylor and her music.
I’ve been lucky enough to go to the 1989 and Reputation tour since. I’ve sang, danced, laughed and cried at each one. I’ve waited up all night for a new song, I’ve decoded every secret message in the album booklets and I’ve now been a Swiftie, for 10 years. (Which is crazy, I still feel 14)
If you are reading this Taylor, I want you to know that I will be forever thankful that I randomly asked my friend what was blaring from her iPod back in 2009, and that you came into my life in a whirlwind of magic. To this day, I turn to you and your beautiful, poignant words to make sense of any emotion I am feeling. When my mum was diagnosed with cancer in 2018, I sang the best day to her, and she now loves you just as much as I do.
Thank you Taylor. I hope one day I’ll be able to say this to you in person. I know so many people whose lives you’ve touched, and I know I’m just one of many, many, stars in your sky. But I hope you know,
I had the time of my life, fighting dragons with you 💫
Love from Grace. ❤️

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have mixed business with pleasure with great results during their five year romance. We have their sweetest performances and heart-melting duets.
Blake Shelton, 44, and Gwen Stefani, 50, created more than one of music’s cutest couples ever when they started dating in Oct. 2015. The two talented artists have given fans some incredible duets and memorable performances where their love just radiates. The pair first put their musical skills together for his 2016 tune “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” featuring Gwen, off of Blake’s If I’m Honest album. Since then he’s lended his country chops to a song off her 2017 Christmas album and the couple has released several duets.
With their collaborations have come adoring performances. Fans love the way these two look at each other and show their adoration through their eyes, as well as their voices. Pop queen Gwen even notched her first ever country radio airplay number one song with the couple’s 2020 duet “Nobody But You.” Here’s some of the couple’s most memorable and cutest performances together:
“Happy Anywhere” from the 2020 ACMs
For the 2020 Academy of County Music Awards on Sept. 16, 2020, Blake and Gwen made their ACMs debut as a performing couple with “Happy Anywhere.” The song is their quarantine anthem about how the lovebirds could be “happy anywhere” as long as they are with each other. Gwen had played the supportive girlfriend in the audience to some of Blake’s past country music awards show appearances, but this time it was a team effort on the show. Their performance was remotely pre-taped, as a live arena ACMS telecast was a no-go due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions.
The two were seen seated on stools in front of a green screen. Blake told viewers that he hoped that everyone home at was safe and healthy, then added, “We wish that we could be in Nashville but we couldn’t. But through the magic of television, voila! Welcome back to the Bluebird Cafe everybody,” snapping his fingers and having the interior of the iconic Nashville performing location around them. Gwen looked pop-star country chic in a white jean jacket with gold fringe hanging from the sleeves and shorts, as well as colorful matching cowboy boots. It helped cement the former No Doubt lead singer’s status as an official country music star.
“Go Ahead And Break My Heart” from the 2016 BBMAs
The unlikely couple who met as coaches on NBC’s The Voice first teamed up musically in 2016 for the song “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.” Blake performed the tune at the Billboard Music Awards in May of that year. He started on onstage solo with his guitar, and Gwen approached from the side, wearing a stunning glittery silver gown with nude cutouts. The pair looked deeply into each others eyes and performed the song while gazing at each other nearly the entire time.
The couple definitely gave fans all the feels with their first major awards show appearance together. They ended the perf with an adoring hug, where Blake held Gwen tightly around his left arm and she absolutely beamed with pride and love. It was a great chance for non-The Voice viewers to see how much insane chemistry Blake and Gwen have.
“Nobody But You” from the 2020 Grammys and ‘The Voice’ finale
Gwen and Blake 2020 country smash “Nobody But You” had the singers going big and small when it came to performances. The couple first sang it on live TV at the Jan. 26, 2020 Grammy Awards, with Blake looking sharply dressed in a dark suit, vest and tie. Gwen wore a white tulle gown with colorful sequin patterns on it, and the pair showed off their love at the end of the performance with Blake holding Gwen around his arm as the audience went wild.
Things were a lot more subdued less than five months later for The Voice season finale on May 19, 2020. That’s because the COVID-19 pandemic had most of America on lockdown since March. The pair performed the song remotely from Blake’s ranch outside Tishomingo, OK where the couple and her three sons were quarantining. The only instrument was Blake’s acoustic guitar as the couple sang a stripped down version of the song, which was interspersed with video of workers from a local food bank helping prep groceries and meals for those in need.
Gwen’s 2017 ‘You Make It Feel Like Christmas’ TV special.
Blake got dressed to the nines for his sweetie once again for Gwen’s December 12, 2017 You Make It Feel Like Christmas special on NBC. The song — named after her first ever holiday album — saw Blake and Gwen making sexy eyes at each other, and she even got flannel loving Blake to wear a glittery black tie along with a sleek black suit for the performance. The Blakester wearing black rhinestones cemented that he would do anything for his fashion-loving girlfriend.
Gwen wore a holiday inspired red plaid shirt and skirt combo with an extra high center slit. The pair was so in tune while looking deep into each others’ eyes that Blake even mouthed along the lyrics for Gwen’s lines as she sang. The couple did a super fun vintage themed PDA packed music video for the song, but the playful way they interacted for her holiday special was Christmas coming early for Shelfani fans.

Ten✧Shi makes their debut!
Everybody meet my idol oc group! I’m so excited to finally start making content for them, and I hope people like them! Under the read more are profiles and introductions to the group and members! Art by me!
Feel free to use the inbox to ask them questions! Give them a warm welcome!
Group Intro:
Hello everyone! We are Ten✧Shi! We are a group of four high school teachers in Japan and an idol group! This is our first group interview so please enjoy!
We chose the name Ten✧Shi because there are four (四/shi) of us and our kind students said we were like angels (天使/tenshi) of the idol world! The four pointed star in our name represents each of us coming together to be brighter, but it also represents a compass and our hopes of guiding people to their shiniest future!
For our debut we’ve gone with a more mature concept, taking the theme of angels and putting a modern spin on it!
We were previously school idols, formerly two duos known as ‘Savvy x Spiffy’ (featuring Natsuki and Ryu) and ‘FINEST♡’ (featuring Yui and Haru). Our school idol careers mainly consisted of a local rivalry, but a friendly one. Now we realise that our duo concepts were too different to compare fairly, which is why our competition ended in a stalemate during our third year. However we want to thank our fans, friends and family for supporting us back then.
Ten years on from our last performances we’re back as a quartet! We hope to inspire people around the world with our live shows, with our new concepts and songs. As adults in our late 20’s we want to show the world what we’ve learned since then and just how powerful we are!
We want to thank our students for pushing us to form a group like this, and due to their amazing support we couldn’t have entered the upcoming amateur adult idol tournament, designed for people like us!

Star Sign: Cancer

Self-Introduction
“Hi everybody! I’m Natsuki, the leader of Ten✧Shi! I didn’t think I could be a leader, but the other three were so insistent, I couldn’t resist their cute little faces! They said I’m the glue that keeps us together, but I don’t think I put special effort in, I just want to see everyone be the best they can be, Y’know? I just wanna take you all in and squeeze you tight! If I had all the time in the world I’d talk to each fan because you’re all so valuable to us!
I only became a trainee teacher in the past few years, but I’m sooo happy to see my old pals again! I love exploring lyrics in music, I am a Literature teacher after all!! I hope the songs I write in the future will inspire all of you to do your best! There’s so many different types of idol music, but I do love electro swing the most. It’s just the kind of music you can put on and dance around with! I’m so excited to dance with my friends again!
My charm point? Hmm… I don’t really think about that too much, but I’d say it’s that I’m willing to drop everything if my friends need me! I guess I also get compliments on my voice a lot. Of course I train hard as an idol, but I’ve been singing since I was tiny! Maybe that’s why I can’t sing so loudly… Oh you meant something physical? Ahaha… well, it’s a little embarrassing, but I overheard Ryu say I have “like, super toned abs. It’s so unfair.” Does that count? What?! No!! I’m wearing my work clothes I can’t just take it off!! I can’t let the students see me like this!!!”
Journalist’s Note: Due to popular demand, an exclusive shirtless photoshoot was taken shortly after the interview. Please view our Instagram page for a sneak preview.
Ryu:

Self-Introduction
“Make this quick, I don’t want to lose track of time and be late for- Oh you’re recording already? Fine. I’m Ryu. And I want to start this by making something clear. I’m not the same teenage boy I was last time I was on camera. The whole playboy persona isn’t gonna fly as an adult. I have a reputation to uphold. I’m a senior staff member of the school now, I can’t be seen dancing in shirts that are barely buttoned up anymore. And I’m especially not calling any of my fans ‘my kittens’. That shit’s embarrassing. Wait, I mean that it’s unacceptable. Can you edit that?
As I said, I’m high up in the school now, so I have a lot more to worry about than back then. And that also includes being part of a bigger group. Yeah, I love those guys, but you can’t deny they’re a handful. It’s kinda weird. In the old days I’d be the one running off and getting us into trouble, but now I’m… uhh… am I stuck-up to you? I really don’t wanna seem that way to students. Why are you laughing? Oi, what’s that face for?
Huh? Charm point? Who cares about that? Oh yeah, I’m the visual center. Okay, whatever. As an idol I like to focus on my body as a whole, but if I had to highlight an area I’d choose my legs. I’m not super tall, but my legs are kinda long, and sometimes Natsuki would latch onto them so they can’t be unattractive. The guy’s got some strange taste but I guess I trust his judgement. He is our leader, after all. Hm? When does he do that? I mean just like if we’re chillin before we go to bed. Yeah? Yeah, we live together. Wait!! Don’t cut the camera let me explain!”
Journalist’s Note: We didn’t cut the camera.
Yui:
Profile
Height: 5’8 / 172cm
Birthday: August 30th
Star Sign: Virgo
Pronouns: She/Her
Image Colour: Light Pink
Self-Introduction
“Hi hi! I’m Yui! I’m a PE teacher and the choreographer of the group! I love love love to dance, even without thinking about it! Dancing is such an amazing way to express yourself. If you’re alone and you need to get some energy out just move your body to the rhythm of your heart! Dancing as a group is so amazing too! Watching our lives shows back and seeing everyone do the moves I made is such an indescribable feeling!
I never thought I’d be a teacher, but I really love it! There’s a lot of hard work involved, but it’s all totally worth it. I know PE can put a lot of stress on students, so I don’t force anyone to do anything, and I try to make everything super fun and accessible! All of my students are so lovely, people really don’t get that kids are humans too, with such rich lives and stories to tell. Honestly I’d rather help out kids that need guidance than spend time with some of the grouches that teach here. EW!
My charm point…. Is my eyes! Connecting to our audience is so important, and I always focus on making the right expression, it’s just another way I can get across my feelings! People say my eyes are always full of life! I also love love love seeing students get inspired by my dances. When their eyes light up it’s like a whole new path has opened up in the world! I hope everyone supports us and we can all make new paths together! Love you!!!”
Journalist’s Note: Yui’s interview is an hour longer than the others. For the uncut version, please visit our site.
Haru:
Profile
Height: 5’5 / 165cm
Birthday: July 29th
Star Sign: Leo
Pronouns: He/Him
Image Colour: Yellow
Self-Introduction
“This is Haru. If I sound moody during this interview, blame the others for waking me up this early. This is earlier than I get up for work. But this isn’t about work so I shouldn’t complain. Hm? Yeah, I’m a maths teacher. I know it’s like the least interesting subject for most people. And I feel the same way. But when I was a kid all of my teachers were hell-bent on teaching their way or no way, so I chose to use my good grades to get a job here, and understand how these kids work as individuals so I can teach them in a way that they understand.
I’m the composer for the group. After high school I was in a rock band for a while. The split wasn’t in vain so it’s all good. And they’re fans of my idol stuff. Being able to write music helps out now, but I’ve still got a lot to learn! Music’s so great, it can lift your spirits or bring you down, which isn’t always for the best, but that really shows how powerful it is! Getting up on stage and feeling the adrenaline shoot through you is addicting and I feel so alive when everyone’s into the rhythm and you feel like the night could last forever... Looking back on some of our recorded performances, I notice how intense I get on stage. It’s a little weird to see myself so… energetic. Is it weird? No? Wait, people like it? You’re just saying that because I’m here. Hey, don’t show me comments on our debut MV, that’s unnecessary.
Charm point… The dark circles under my eyes don’t count even thought people point them out a lot, so I’d say my fang. I have a canine tooth that sticks out a bit, see? The others think it’s cute, but there’s nothing cute about me. What? My fans would say- No I don’t need to hear any of it. There’s no such thing as a charisma centre! I’m not cute and my face isn’t red!”
Journalist’s Note: As a school idol Haru won #1 ‘Cutest New Idol’ as voted by the public. As of the date of the interview, he holds the highest all-time number of votes in a single poll.

jeon jeongguk . cis male . he/him / graeme bae just pulled up by blasting dirty little secret by all american rejects --- that song is so them ! you know , for a twenty three year old actor , i’ve heard they’re really gullible , but that they make up for it by being so tenacious . if i had to choose three things to describe them , i’d probably say tousled hair , triple dog dares and a closet full of black . here’s to hoping they don’t cause too much trouble !
hello ! i’m deni ( she/her pronouns , gmt+9 timezone ) . i’m best reached on discord at gayfairy#6371 for plotting . below the cut is ... a ridiculous amount of keyboard smashing but it was a holiday and i was feeling inspired so !! i included a few TLDRs for some quick scanning . there’s also some plots at the bottom i’d LOVE to see . looking forward to writing with you all !
* ☆ ·˚ background.
you could say he was destined for the spotlight .
an only child , he grew up watching his parents performances on the stage , accepting their kisses and gentle smiles before they set off for tours around the country and left him with his cousins . sure , they were absent --- but they tried --- and graeme knew he wanted to be just like them . when his parents delighted in his little home-staged sets he presented , they quickly enrolled him in acting classes and coached him through first auditions , even moved back to korea when it was clear some american roles wanted to confine him to one note . after gaining exposure , graeme shared the screen with one of the biggest names in the american industry in a dramatic hit that led to some ridiculous fanmail being sent to him as a kid , then excitedly landed a role in a revamped science fiction film he was stoked af abouy !!! unfortunately , the film was met with an absolute brutal blowback from fans , some of that hot , petty anger taken out on graeme , and at thirteen years old , his parents made the decision for him to step back and focus on school . ( he still holds onto those spiteful letters------ all that hate from grown ass adults thrown at a child )
performing arts high school , but graeme stayed away from the public stage for a bit . worked on some sets as a tech to get a better idea of the film making process . kept a low profile occasionally caught by curious paparazzi at a basketball court or baseball game . recognizable , but not to the point where he couldn’t be seminormal . there were a few bumps in the road :: leaked photos of a beer at a high school party , couple of fake friends sliding in for clout , people pushing questions like when are you returning ?? how does it feel to ruin one of the most important films of all time ??? shitty . but , with the help of his parents , friends and coaches , graeme returned to student films to grow more comfortable in front of a camera . his official comeback was in the background of a friend's directorial debut , a lady-love drama critics salivated over but failed to earn is’ nominations . still , graeme’s name was back and out there . jumping headfirst into the thing that scares him , graeme’s slated for teen flicks , romantic dramas , action films . a diverse portfolio . people love a comeback . ------as if there was something wrong with what he did before .
TLDR. former international child star who took a break after experiencing a massive fan-driven backlash . pseudo retired , did the performing arts school thing . popped back on the screen about a year ago and working his ass off since . early career inspiration : jake lloyd , natalie portman , yeo jingoo
* ☆ ·˚ current.
suddenly getting all this praise and earning cash , living on his own in a sprawling city of work and sin . hasn’t stop busting his ass , no , but maybe he’s found outlets for all his stress in . . . less than healthy outlets . some of the headlines are way off the mark , some a little too close to home . either way , it’s not something his parents or his management company are thrilled about ( doesn’t he want to be taken seriously as an actor , they say ) and he does . of course he does . but what else does he have to sacrifice to be taken seriously ? and how serious does any twenty-something year old wanna get ?
late hours on dance floors , strips of things he doesn’t know the name of on his tongue , lips on any pretty , wanting pair he can find . he’s young , virile and at the top of his game . who can blame him ? it starts with a string of tabloid images , a rumpled and sleepy-eyed graeme leaving apartments that aren’t his in clothes he was spotted in the night before . zoomed-in , fan-cropped photos on twitter of hickeys and swollen mouths and unbuttoned shirts . america’s sweetheart ? maybe , but clearly not around the clock . him , scaling rails of hotels and dancing on top of cars . grabbing mics at clubs and taking over DJ boots at parties . twitter explodes when he moonwalks through the airport one time and baristas trend his insane coffee orders .
and even though he’s got his own name --- and a variety of different spellings , hashtags , and whatevers --- blacklisted on social media , every now and then he’ll run along a stream of grueling comments , petty nitpicks about his performances , his looks , his voice , his goddamn smile and it’s----- it’s rough , even for someone who grew up in that environment . there’s days where he’ll hole up in his apartment and refuse to see anyone , refuse to leave . the guy in the interviews with the wide smile and sparkle eyes is so , so far away and people almost forget that he’s human , too . he pushes himself out of that mindset , sometimes with help , but it’s always a shadow on his back , waiting to catch him at his weakest .
TLDR. tabloids gossip about speculated hookups and strange behavior . potential alcohol abuse . pushback from management and parents . anxiety towards social media . current career inspiration : ansel elgort
* ☆ ·˚ tidbits.
sporty as fuck —— basketball , soccer , skateboard , swimming , climbing . says he would’ve been an athlete if not for movies . fit as fuck despite a steady diet of ramen and pizza . claims to like horror movies the most , but he’s a total schmaltz snob . can hold a pretty tune well enough to pass . has a private twitter account for the memes , public accounts are all operated by a social media manager so he doesn’t have to read comments . watches college basketball championships religiously . has very strong opinions about scented candles . likes sugary drinks more than coffee but claims to be a connoisseur . loves biopics . punk and 2000s emo rock fan . gets anxious easily , suffers through interviews and avoids personal topics as best as he can . is rumored to be difficult to work with , but keeps to himself on sets save for a few opinions about blocking and lighting . pan as fuck and fairly open about it . mom and dad are chill , but don’t understand much of anything past bi . they get on to him more for his diet and job . when not on the court or working , spends free time rewatching anime in the safety of his bed in an threadbare pair of boxers , eating Doritos by the fistful and leaving his manager on read .
even his underwear is black . occasionally, he’ll change it up with a screen printed vintage t-shirt and wears whatever kind of fancy thing his stylist squeezes him into . otherwise wears by a black or white t-shirt , black pants and combat boots . seventy percent of his sneakers have sharpie drawings on them and he’s got a lot of holes in his ears and another in a place you’d be lucky ( or unlucky ) to see . loves dangy earrings and wearing his hair loose , a bit long with a mild perm . silver on his wrists and friendship bracelets from yesteryear but no rings . tattooed up ! recently collaborated to design a line of temporary tattoos . extensive collection of sunglasses . hit up a lot of music festivals in the past but that’s died down in recent months due to a busy schedule . swung his way into VIP passes before . he was a total Warped kid in the past , no shame . no longer does fan conventions because of a negative experience a few years back , and even fan meets are a little awkward , but he manages to push through . can’t drive worth a damn but he’ll kick your ass at any arcade game . occasionally , he’ll stream over twitch but that’s becoming less and less common . was banned from several dave & busters before he made it back on the screen . moody as fuck .
* ☆ ·˚ plots.
so . bonds . there’s a best friend who may not have been there since the beginning , but they’ve been there when it matters . the friendship is new , fresh , and maybe graeme shouldn’t be as dependent on it as he is , but he can’t help it . clinging to them like crazy --- let’s hope it doesn’t fall to the wayside . ( ? / 1 ) there’s several of his idiot friends who , after being stranded on too many red carpets , a hundred hotel rooms , and hours of press junkets , have learned to survive by snapchatting each other random dares throughout the day . ( 1 / unlimited ) there’s a few childhood friends who , like him , grew up either in or close to the spotlight and they have this , like . . . support group kind of situation . i don’t know . graeme checks on them from time to time , even as they’ve grown apart . ( 2 / unlimited ) he’s got some partying buddies who may not have his best interest at heart --- who may or may not stop him when he’s slurred out and whining about twitter trolls . some gaming partners he teams up with over stream , but lately they’ve drifted apart .
it’s such a cliche that his management’s set him up for a fake dating situation . if graeme wants the dramatic , serious roles , then he needs to show he’s a mature and capable young man . how else to do that than jump headfirst into a few awkwardly orchestrated dates with another hotshot on the radar ? ( ? / 1 ) but they’re not serious . so , he hasn’t stopped hooking up , or thinking about a one night stand that totally rocked his world . ( ? / 5 ) and ( ? / 1 ) media and fans definitely know about a few of these . the jury’s out for how they feel about it . then there’s his competition , actors in the same demographic targeting the same roles . it’s a tough business and they know it , but the press picks up on all these weird quotes and posts that twist shit into beefs . what other misunderstanding will cause the casket to blow ? ( ? / unlimited ) there’s some co stars on old and upcoming films . people who see how hard he works and how much effort he puts into what’s seen on the screen . they tough out hard days on set and the press circuits during promotion . see him at his worst and best . ( ? / unlimited )

famed meme still accepting!
Send ♫ for a performance headcanon. (wc: 231)
there’s a hit or miss when it comes to fuse songs for minjung. she doesn’t particularly enjoy the bright bubbly concepts (except for a few) but she really loves the darker more mature concepts. she’s always been exceptionally opinionated and can only allow her feelings for a song to dictate how she takes initiative on things. for things she feels passionate about, she gives it her all when it comes to dancing and singing, which would give her more positive comments about her stage presence. however, for the ones she doesn’t care about she just half-asses it and sings the words like how she does, which causes her to be considered ‘lazy’ or ‘untalented’.
it also doesn’t help that she’s one of the weaker dancers in the group which means she takes longer to get the choreography. sometimes, she’ll even get caught forgetting the choreography, and gets captured and posted on youtube. she stands there wide eyed and smiles, laughing to show she doesn’t take much to heart.
however, she still tries her best despite not feeling the best or not feeling the song. this is mainly because she knows how to put on a show of what people expect of her. rarely, will fans find her frowning because the smile’s glued to her face. she likes being predictable on stage because it lessens the burden of revealing her true personality.
Send ✈ for an airport fashion headcanon. (wc: 305)
if she had it her way, she’d be dressed in street wear and baggy clothes. the type of style that requires really loose pants, and a large hoodie - the stereotypical hongdae warrior fashion. however, gold star knows this and they’ve told her to play the role of a girl group and thus they’ve glued a stylist to pick her clothes for her everytime she goes to the airport.
sometimes, the stylists are kind and dress her in baggy jeans and a t-shirt, which is probably the closest thing to her own fashion. however, other times they ask her to wear clothes given to them by various companies or dress her as a girly girl, as her image suits that ‘best’.
she has no say, really in what she wears or she just learns to adapt to what they expect of her. most of the time it consists of frills, skirts or just casual wear that can range from skirts to jeans with blouses.
shoes most of the time are just tennis shoes because she has no intentions to wear heels or strut the airport like it’s a runway. and if she’s really lazy she’ll top it off with a bucket hat to hide her face away from the cameras waiting to catch an idol on a bad day.
as for bags, she carries around smaller designer handbacks. although her favorite bag consists of her worn down backpack that’s survived the years, gold star tells her no and that she should carry something more acceptable - that causes her to bring out designer bags that essentially carry nothing but her phone in them. she’ll never find the joy of carrying around a small handbag, but she knows it’s just free press for the fashion brands which in turn means more money drawn to their group.
ref 1, ref 2, ref 3
Send ☎ for a bad fan experience headcanon. (wc: 252)
she hasn’t had any real bad fan experiences mainly because she lays low. the only sasaeng interruptions she experiences is when they get wave of her number and call her incessantly. it’s happened six times where she’s sitting alone in her apartment, painting and all of a sudden the phone calls. instead of answering or calling the police, she turns her phone off and continues on.
another bad experience was the sasaengs that followed them to the dorms when she was still living with fuse. in that case, the sasaengs used to hide in the bushes, and step out ringing their bell. it was terrifying and the first time she was too scared to leave the dorms alone. luckily, the manager was present and called gold star to get it all situated. still to this day, she doesn’t understand why people become as crazy as they do.
another bad experience was actually at night when she was wandering around with a friend. she didn’t have a mask on or a hat, but it was dark enough that nobody should’ve recognized her. during the night, a drunken man recognized her and immediately lodged themselves at her, and she felt like she was going to die in that moment - except, she was with a few friends at that point, where the friends had to pry her away from the man and call the police. it ended with a punishment of where she couldn’t leave the dorm without the manager for a few months.
Send ❂ for a voice-related (singing or rapping) headcanon. (wc: 310)
her voice is strikingly unique and can be picked apart from any fuse track. it pierces and echoes through the song, and people know the stark sound. however, that’s the voice that fuse has taught her to sing in, and it has dulled away the original cracks and breaks of her voice. it is polished to be an ‘idol’ voice, so it’s crisp and clear and fits right into fuse’s track like a puzzle piece.
however, there’s another voice she uses for her soundcloud. close friends and fans that know of her soundcloud know this is her actual voice that sounds less strained and more real. it consists of more ‘whiny’ sounding voices that linger the ends of the lyrics on. there’s nothing cute and crisp, but it is grittier and rough despite its high tone. some fans enjoy this voice more and ask her to sing like this for fuse, but other fans call it annoying and tell her she is untalented/too much autotune used in fuse’s voice.
singing has become her escape since she was a little girl, finding music the only stabilizing thing in her life. she started singing a lot of S.E.S and super junior, but then she branched off to pop-punk and ballads. she’s always experimenting with new songs, and for her first solo she will be strictly singing experimental songs because the album is her baby.
although she is a rapper role, she rarely raps in fuse’s songs although she loves rapping in general. she loves travis scott and asap, finding trap the best form of hip hop. although she’s not at the level of her favorites, she tries to follow along although she loses the beat a few times. someday, she’ll get a rapping teacher and learn to polish her skills so she can make her big billboard chart debut as lil jane.

Hailey Baldwin and Shawn Mendes Timeline - The beginning
[S] Stands for speculation.
This isn’t exactly where it began but Hailey was crushing on Shawn in 2013 and Shawn responded.
October - November 2013
Hailey was 16, Shawn was 15 and he was in a relationship with Lauren at this time (2013 - 2015)
October 7, 2016
Hailey’s cousin tweeted this:
February 2017 Hailey wrote this about Shawn in ‘The Love Magazine’
(later in 2018 Shawn says that he and Hailey met through mutual friends)
Around summer 2017 it’s speculation that he starts thinking about/ texting Hailey because of a song he was working on.
[SPECULATION] June 18, 2017
Shawn has an unreleased song called, “She’ll be the one”, which some think could possibly be about Hailey! A fan asked what it’s about and he said in July 15, 2017 “It’s basically a song about you haven’t met this girl yet but you can kind of just tell that she’ll be the first girl to break your heart just because you can tell you’ll be in love with her before even meeting her type of thing”.
Genius lyric description: Shawn knows that this girl will be the one who will cause Shawn heartbreak, like in most relationships, yet he can’t bring it in himself to let her go. Despite knowing she will cause him pain, he is asking himself how he can not try to make the relationship work as he is already crushing hard on this girl.
[SPECULATION] July 13, 2017
He posts lyrics to “That’s Amore” on his Snapchat. It’s about a guy that falls in love with a girl.
🐥 July 16, 2017 Hailey liked Khalid’s tweet
“damn catching feelings for someone ain’t a joke lol that shit really throw you off by surprise sometimes”
[S] August 4, 2017 Camila’s song that a lot of fans think it’s about Shawn, “All these years” was wrote in July/August.
So Camila Cabello wrote a song called “All these years” that fans say is about Shawn Mendes. And the more I read the lyrics it may be true. Especially this line: “Couldn’t help but overhear you,Sounds like you’re happy with her But does she kiss you like I kissed you?” She said “it’s really personal”.
Did Shawn and Camila even ever kissed before?
IF this song is about Shawn, Hailey and Shawn definitely started getting close earlier than fans say (they say October but why else would Hailey visit his concert August 16th when she never had before? Hmmm)
“Sounds like you’re happy with her”. Could definitely be about Hailey! She released a clip of this song on her instagram live feed August 4th, hence the date up top.
People say his song, “Why” is not only about Camila but also a response to this song, “All these years”
August 15, 2017
Justin posted a picture of Shawn and said: “What a LEGEND. @shawnmendes” I’m pretty sure it has a lot to do with Shawn getting with / talking to Hailey (who was Justin’s ex at this time)
1 Day later...
🚨IT ALL KINDA STARTS HERE 👇
August 16, 2017 - Hailey Baldwin News on Twitter: “More of Hailey Baldwin with fans at Shawn Mendes’s concert in Brooklyn, NYC.”
September 4, 2017

September 17, 2017
🐥Shawn liked a tweet: “keep love songs alive”
🐥September 25, 2017
Hmmm could be about Hailey. I think they’ve probably been texting/talking longer than fans think (fans think October, I think longer! maybe July/ Aug)
👆Hailey retweeted the show more love tweet it’s obvious they were talking before October! They just got caught first in October at the same concert.
October 2, 2017
Cryptic tweeting.
October 7, 2017
October 22, 2017 (Sunday)
Matching Tattoos, Sunday Dinner, Night Clubs.
*I put Sunday because in his lyrics in “Nervous” he says: “I saw you on a SUNDAY in a “cafe’”… 👀 I saw a fan say he said cafe’ to change it up but it was actually a restaurant.. hmmm
AND SAME DAY (early before it all) THEY TWEETED “craY” and Shawn followed Hailey on instagram and liked that picture of Hailey and Justin.
They both got matching tattoos later. Shawn got “8” (August 8) for his birthday and Hailey got “22” for her birthday (November 22) THEY GOT IT OCTOBER 22, 2017 BECAUSE SAME OUTFITS AND TINASHE IS WEARING THE SAME HAIR AND SHIRT IN THE BACKGROUND OF THE RESTAURANT PICTURE
At the restaurant around this time her sister posted this on her instagram story (clearly about Shawn). So she did like Shawn back? Hailey was saying in the video “STOOPAA” while blushing (smiling hard) “Stop” in a long cute way as if she was talking to Shawn himself. (video)
They’re leaving a night club together (video)
October 29, 2017
Hailey and Shawn went to “Universal Halloween Horror Night” together (video)
October 31, 2017 - November 1, 2017
“Is there a hot new couple in town?”
“While hosting a Halloween party with her BFF Kendall Jenner at The h.wood Group’s Delilah in West Hollywood, Hailey Baldwin spent quality time with Shawn Mendes.
“He had his arm around Hailey and stayed by her side all night,” a source tells PEOPLE, adding that the duo left the bash together at 1 a.m. holding hands.
Last month, Baldwin, 20, and Mendes, 19, fueled dating rumors when they were spotted at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights and enjoying dinner together a few days before.”
Picture of them at the same Halloween party (Hailey top right, Shawn bottom left)
November 5, 2017

While things are still very much in the early stages, fans can’t help but wonder if a red carpet debut is in this pair’s future. After all, Shawn is performing at the 2017 American Music Awards this weekend.Until then, those close to the couple appear to be in favor of this new relationship. “Hailey’s friends think Shawn is great because he is ‘chill and relaxed’ and is very supportive of Hailey,” our source shared.

Hailey liked a tweet: “We’re not in love but I’ll make love to you”.
March 9, 2018
Shawn liked a picture of Hailey on instagram (first liked picture of hers since December 31, 2017) maybe they got into it about their “zone of limbo aka friends with benefits” relationship so maybe the song “Perfectly Wrong” is about her? (about arguing, then having makeup sex..)

April 3, 2018

From her instagram story that day:
May 3, 2018
May 5, 2018
Justin leaves a comment on Shawn’s instagram. This shows Justin knows about him and Hailey and is jealous. It all makes sense since Hailey went back to Justin weeks after this smh.
Hailey dances and sings along to Shawn’s song, “There’s nothing holding me back” in the NYC streets. It was very intentional that her friend was recording her and her friend was like yeah I know you know this song (video)
May 6, 2018
Shawn is obviously tweeting about Hailey. This is a day before their appearance at the Met Gala.
May 7, 2018 - The Met Gala
They were very touchy at the met, there’s chemistry. He was holding onto her waist while she was sitting in his lap. And he couldn’t stop touching her on the red carpet.
Interview before the gala Shawn says this:
(he wrote songs about Hailey on his album)
And Shawn and Hailey posted several pictures on their instagrams
Aww he even gave her his jacket after the met (bitch must’ve been cold)
May 9, 2018 article
May 15, 2018
(video of her instagram story below)
May 18, 2018
She’s wearing Shawn’s merchandise, the “Youth” sweater. Could possibly be one he wore or he gave her her own.
May 20, 2018
- Hailey was with Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun (which started the rumors that she’s getting back with Justin)
- Hailey singing and dances along to Shawn’s performance of “Youth” at the Billboard Music Awards (video)
- And also this day Justin leaves that comment on Hailey’s instagram picture and fans think that meant they started back talking.
This is when it went downhill. It’s obvious Hailey and Justin Bieber started talking again in late May, so this was the end of Shawn and Hailey.
Tune into Part 2 : The End <<click.
