About the partners headcanons ask, i meant the latter! sorry if it wasn’t obvious haha
shit this has been sitting in my askbox a while--
I have been thinking about this a good while, but I did also...kinda forget about it for a little lmao...part of the time spent thinking was of how exactly I wanted to format it. I considered doing more of a bullet points sort of thing, but I think in general it's just easier to do this the way I typically explain things on this blog.
Rather than doing specific explanations of the potential relationships between each computation of the girls together, I'm going to speak broadly over each of them and talk about it in a more Poly Dokis sense, since that's typically how I do it anyway. With that intro out of the way, here's my vision in no particular order:
Sayori in general is a very lovey sort of person, regardless of if you're just close friends, or in an actual relationship. As a result, not a great deal actually changes in that respect. She is an absolute cuddlebug and physical touch is definitely her top love language to give, to most people's enjoyment, and some people's slight annoyance (Natsuki). I imagine she works down everyone's personal bubble until it feels weirder to not have a Sayori nuzzling somewhere on their body. She likes playing with everyone's hair. They also like playing with hers; it's a win-win. She's also a big fan of spending time with the others, whatever it is. Anything is fun as long as they're together.
On terms of receiving, Sayori very much likes words of affection, though she doesn't always believe them. She needs a lot of reassurance and reciprocation to be sure that she's doing enough in the relationship, and has a constant worry that she's being overbearing, or that her own failures and stupidity makes her a burden to others around her. Regardless of who she's with, all 3 of them try their best to make it clear that she's doing perfectly fine, and they still love her, obviously.
Sayori relies very heavily on Monika emotionally. I think that's a universal truth of their relationship no matter how it's spun. She does her best to be honest with the other 2, hard as that might be sometimes, but Monika is the only one she feels she can truly be herself around, and Monika is more than happy to oblige. In return, Sayori tries her hardest to help her as well.
She genuinely likes listening to Yuri talk about whatever she's passionate about. It makes her happy to hear Yuri so passionate about something, and she's always glad to encourage her to come out of her shell more. She lets Yuri go at her own pace on terms of how they take their relationship and in general gives her a lot of patience, but as long as Yuri doesn't mind, she will take every opportunity she can get to cuddle up to her. Once she gets past her initial embarrassment, Yuri really appreciates her wordless style of affection and makes an effort to reciprocate. Occasionally, she uses Sayori like a weighted blanket.
Sayori understands that Natsuki needs more space, but is quite persistent in her efforts to break her out of her shell, too. Natsuki is initially pretty put off by Sayori's style of affection (go figure) but doesn't exactly dislike it, it's more like...not what she's used to. She initially rebuffs her, but doesn't exactly fight it very hard. She's also glad to have someone to genuinely talk about manga with, though she gets the sense that Sayori isn't exactly reading into it as much as she is...
Monika has never been in a real relationship in her life, and it shows! She treads very lightly, feeling completely out of her depth, uncertain of what's correct or expected, as though that's a normal question to have in a relationship. She's fairly naive and stumbling her way through it to start. Once she finds her footing though, she's happy to be able to provide love to the people closest to her. Maybe too happy. She tries exceptionally hard to be a good girlfriend, with little attention given to herself. This is something the other 3 try very hard to make up for.
Her primary love language has gotta be words of affection. She loves using pet names and giving lots of compliments. Once she gets over the initial embarrassment of saying "I love you", it becomes her most used phrase, and no matter how many times they hear it, it absolutely melts the others every time. She's also a huge acts of service girlie. She loves being able to buy them lunch, or give them a ride, or help them with homework, or something. She's absolutely the type of person to buy you a lunch when she hears you don't have money for one, and won't hear anything about you paying her back.
She is incredibly bad at receiving affection. She'll minimize your compliment, she'll make sure she gives you something in return for any act of service, and she doesn't want to waste your time if you have somewhere else to be. The other 3 work incredibly hard to just get her to accept that they love her, too, which forces her to introspect on the matter. The one thing she doesn't suck at receiving is physical affection, and consequently it becomes her favorite, particularly from Sayori.
Oh yeah, this is somewhat offhand, but she's a terrible kisser, at least to start. Just thought I'd throw that in too
I think the biggest thing I'd like to establish in what the other 3 see in her is that she makes you feel absolutely safe and welcome in her presence. Whenever you talk to her, suddenly all of your problems and everything stressing you out are miles away, and everything is going to be okay. And she is very happy to provide that for other people; hearing that always makes her heart happy.
She tries her absolute hardest to make sure Sayori gets everything she needs in the validation department. Monika and Sayori reflect each other a lot, to the point that they both generally know what the other is thinking even when they don't voice this. Whenever Sayori is refusing to say something because she doesn't want to create friction, but it needs to be said, Monika will say it for her. Monika voices her needs when she doesn't want to, and she trusts Sayori to do it in return.
She vents to Yuri often whenever she just needs someone to listen, and Yuri likes to rub her back to ease her stress. She does her best to listen to what Yuri has to say in return, as well as humor her talking about her interests, but has a hard time saying she shares the same passion she does for them.
Monika is the one who most enjoys flustering Natsuki, and is also typically the most successful. Natsuki, of course, really enjoys turning the tables and flustering her in return. Natsuki in particular finds it funny that Monika has turned to manga as something of a guilty pleasure.
This is something else tangentially related, but I just realized that because I only advanced my DDLC shipping thoughts in a discord server, I never posted this here, so I think an essential part here is that I think all of the other girls have a huuuuge crush on Monika. Like head over heels, for various reasons. Sayori is obvious but the others find it hard to deny, she's like, the perfect woman. Monika has no concept of anyone having a crush on her prior to them admitting this, and is completely shocked.
Yuri has a somewhat warped view of what romance looks like, given to her by media she consumes. Very pure and romantic and dripping with prose. The thought in the back of her head is constantly "I could never do that...I guess I'll be single forever..." and when she actually ends up in a relationship it ends up throwing her entire worldview out of whack in that respect. In general, the others all spend a lot of time reassuring her that they all love her for her, particularly when she's herself, unabashedly weird. Eventually, with enough persistence and some soul searching, she starts to believe it, and comes further out of her shell.
She really likes feeling important to people. She's a great listener, and her favorite thing to do is to just let other people vent about their problems to her. Her primary means of affection is quality time, with some physical affection once Sayori REALLY breaks down her sense of personal space. She'll sidle up to the others like a cat. Sayori finds this absolutely adorable. She mostly just enjoys spending time silently around other people. The others invite her places and just let her vibe. She loves it. I've mentioned it before, but she also really enjoys sending people songs and things that made her think of them. She also likes buying things that made her think of them as a gift. She's very muted in her expression of love, but she spends a lot of her time away from the others thinking of them.
I also think that Yuri kinda sucks at receiving affection, though in a different way than Monika. Monika will instinctively reject it; Yuri has no clue how to respond. It flusters her, every time, without fail, until eventually she gets used to it and her response seems somewhat flat. Although for particularly sweet gestures, she is unable to contain her excitement.
Oh, also she's probably the best kisser out of the bunch, though she is frequently too embarrassed to do much more than a peck on the cheek to start.
Sayori is her go-to whenever she wants to infodump about something she's been really into lately, because she actively listens and tries to engage her, mostly because she really enjoys it whenever Yuri is excited about something. Despite her initial hesitancy, she actually really appreciates the kind of casual physical affection which Sayori employs, because she really likes and wants physical affection, but doesn't know how to ask without feeling awkward.
She likes it when Monika vents to her. She always feels incredibly at ease around Monika, which is difficult for her to find anywhere else, much less with another person, and she really wants to give back in return what Monika gives to her. She feels comfortable enough to freely talk with Monika based on this fact, partially because she knows Monika feels the same to her. It makes her feel wanted, and she likes that.
She really tries her hardest to help when Natsuki has problems, listening to her vent about her dad, or other people, or the world, or anything else that's giving her trouble at the moment. Yuri does her best to help steer her more towards the kind of person she wants to be, and to reassure her that she isn't a terrible person.
Natsuki is averse to being in a relationship on the risk that she turns out like her parents. The only reason she's here is because the others assured her they would help her not to be. Despite her hesitancy, and her pushing back on a lot of what's given to her, she does enjoy it. (She just doesn't think she deserves it.) In general, she's just very awkward at navigating anything and everything related to it, and is very easily embarrassed by the whole thing. It takes time to get her comfortable with it.
She's very acts of service heavy. She likes making things for other people, and spends a lot of time and effort doing so. She derives a lot of joy out of directly providing for people, and particularly in the beginning, she's still convinced that's all she can provide, but she does grow better at avoiding that sort of thinking with time. She also likes spending quality time with people, probably baking, maybe chatting about/reading manga.
She is absolutely head over heels for Monika, despite finding that realization...kind of annoying. She thinks she is literally the most beautiful, perfect girl she has ever met, and despite her best efforts to ignore that powerful urge to heap praise onto her, she can't help but make an effort to impress her, which is frequently successful!...which only goads her on to do it more. She tries to get Monika to read some of the series she's more seriously invested in, because she knows Monika will get a deeper understanding of the themes and subtext.
She's envious of how easily Sayori can make friends with anyone, and finds her to be so sweet it's hard to handle. She is absolutely terrified of ever doing anything to hurt her because she knows that whatever it was, Sayori would never let go. Sayori takes great lengths to remind her that she would never do that, because she is her, not her father. She is initially annoyed by Sayori's very heavy physical affection, but also seriously appreciates it because she would never in a million years ask for a hug.
Yuri and Natsuki's relationship is special. They eventually get to a point where they just understand each other. Yuri will push back on her just enough that Natsuki is confident trusting that what she says is honest, including that she really does love her and will never leave her. She seriously appreciates that. She finds it really fun to try and get Yuri to move outside her comfort zone.
...I might have more posts in this vein to make soon, among other things, but I thought I'd get this out of my askbox now so you don't have to wait in suspense. I'm gonna go sleep. I was sorta running on fumes towards the end here, so if it seems a little more clipped there, I apologizeee

OK OK DIFFERENT ANON but i hadn't seen that other post before (where you talk about shipping the 4 of them) and i absolutely love being delusional about these guys (however i have pretty low knowledge about the recent canon stuff and novels. it's mostly osmosis at this point but that's ok i think) so im here to . humbly place my two cents in your mailbox and scurry away
putting harutaka and shinaya aside for a moment because those are pretty well established already i think— that leaves:
shintaro & takane: i like to think they have like the Strongest platonic relationship on earth (in the long run. i imagine there's quite a bit to unpack and process and work on in order to get there that requires quite a bit of emotional vulnerability that neither of them are good at. but IF THEY GOT THERE like. i can very easily see them ending up in a position where they are definitely one of each other's most important people). like just quintessential Bros. neither of them talk a lot to each other but they both know that the other would drop everything to come help them if they got in any trouble. bordering on qpp with the levels of devotion but it's strictly platonic still. this is probably one of my favorite ships and there's a lot of posts of yours with this dynamic that i think about regularly bc i love them so much.
ayano & takane: completely agree that this requires quite a bit of delusion & extrapolation since there's very little in canon, BUT i think they Could be good friends . in my mind takane's internal register of Information About Ayano has like maybe 3 bullet points and mostly she just sees her as like That Guy That Shintaro Likes. i think ayano's cadence is kind of foreign to her and as a result takane only really feels like she knows her on a very surface level at first. but i think with haruka and shintaro slowly explaining how they feel about her and letting takane build up a "translator"/"model" to understand her behavior over time, she could come to respect her. my ideal endgame for this relationship is ayano helping takane feel more comfortable confronting and processing her feelings and sensory overwhelm because she's just a very emotionally supportive and caring kind of person, meanwhile takane helps encourage ayano to stand up for herself more. and cuss more. ayano texts shintaro something completely OBSCENE one day right after hanging out with takane and shintaro IMMEDIATELY knows it was her. anyway i like this a lot and i think it could be really good in a casual queerplatonic way, but it requires so much work and circumstance to set up. like this is an outline for a hypothetical 50k slow burn fic in my head
shintaro & haruka: tbh i don't really.... know what to do for this one. i think shintaro kind of sees haruka as mostly his brother-in-law or something. i think he doesn't really Get him though he does respect him and doesn't dislike him or anything. i personally just can't think of an interface to click them together 😞 i think they could be casual friends pretty well though.
ayano & haruka: i think they are mall buddies. self identified girlfriends. they get along SO well and are so bubbly and noisy together but they're not particularly intimate with one another, they're just like. bffs with 12 friendship necklaces and bracelets and matching shirts. they do each other's nails i think. i think they really love hanging out and gossiping. send each other memes and uquizzes constantly. 50 cat photos in their chat history in the past 12 hours. i don't know what you would call this relationship but i think casual queerplatonic might be a good tentative label for it??
sorry to dump an entire post in your inbox . i just got excited about the quartet. i hope you have a great day!!
sorry so old i feel so guilty i prommy i read my asks sob sob sob.
anyway im guessing this was in reference to this ask i answered about my thoughts on other yuukei quartet ships. opinion in the link still stands and i have to say i totally agree with u hehe. since u didnt read the novels u probably dont know haruka and shintaro are actually good friends, but it is true pre over the dimension the consensus on haruka and shintaro was pretty much what u described. like they didnt partícularly care about each other and shintaro especially didnt give a fuck LMAO
but shintaro and haruka's friendship is kind of everything to me even if i dont care for the ship. idk if it's because of the harutaka in my heart because i do smile with other takane ships but other haruka ships to me are like... eugh he would not fucking say that. LMAO IDK WHY. but i think shintaro would be a little gay with it and haruka's like totally uninterested. this one comic i made...
BUT like yeah even though haruka and shintaro best friends forever.... shintaro and takane BEST BEST friends forever. like u know damn well im obsessed with their friendship. they're THE best friends ever. and to me ayano is so jealous she so wants to have an hegemonic cuteful girly friendship with takane. she'd try so so hard to win her over but takane's scratching her ass staying over at shintaro's place for like the third day in a row. im obsessed with the quartet fighting over her basically because takane is the best character in kagerou project this is a real unbiased fact
i think a good layer of messy friendship group shenanigans post str is shintaro sort of... being closer to haruka and takane than ayano is. ayano feeling left out of the quartet. i love this drama especially considering a shinaya breakup situation because like. shintaro gets harutaka in the divorce🫤💔

What would you say is your top 5 favorites in Storm Hawks? (BUT you can't use Stork XD)
Aww man, you caught me on the last word :'D I thought for a long time, trying to remember all the characters I like besides Stork, but it was even more difficult to put them in their places, cause I love them all equally. So be it, I will answer! 1. Radarr.
Number one on my list is the sky lemur, a comic-relief sidekick and just a funny character whose antics are so much interesting to watch. He's just a cute little fella, so assure you, he can safely be trusted with a firearm. 2. Master Cyclonis.
The supreme ruler of a matriarchal empire in the person of a cynical teenage girl? Give me two! I also really like her design — especially impressive is the idea of a hood that resembles the petals of a devil's daisy. At least, never seen anything like this in any media before.
Well, now let me share my subjective opinion. Let's be honest: just because she's a lonely girl with no friends doesn't absolve her of responsibility for deliberately ravaging the terras for the empire's expansion (has anyone ever wondered about Finn's or Piper's terras?) and entertaining her people with brutal gladiatorial battles. Even if she had undergone a thorough introspection and returned from the other side of Atmos with the entire squadron, it was unlikely that anyone would have forgiven her. Also don't like the fact, that in the eyes of some fans (not speaking for everyone!), she is nothing more than Draco in leather pants, whose flaws nobody tried to notice.
I understand that my opinion may seem very controversial, and you have every right to disagree with it. However, I still hold the thought that «loving a character does not mean justifying their actions». 3. Repton.
A badass, strong, fearless leader of the criminal squadron, who does not back down before any challenges, no matter how serious they may be. Admired the fact that Repton, as one of the most competent servants of the Empire, is not afraid to contradict Cyclonis herself and always remains true to his beliefs. I always assumed he called Stork a salamander cause of his cowardice and dodgy nature. Even after the merb had destroyed his entire squadron, Repton continued to treat him with the utmost prejudice and did not consider Stork a serious opponent. Based on the lore, it is logical to assume that the Raptors were raised with the idea that they are the most dominant species in all of Atmos, and all others must serve them or be conquered. I just think that's one of the few reasons he harbors a general dislike for all existing races :D 4. Merbian postmaster from episode «Scouts Honor».
Oh yes, my favorite trope — «a character who appears in a two-minute scene, says just one phrase, and manages to win your heart in half a minute». I've always wondered what his background might have been, and what he might have done besides his work. It seems to me that he is less emotional and more resistant to any stress than Stork. However, he may experience some social awkwardness in communication, and it is easy to confuse him with a couple of personal questions. Therefore, he prefers to use short and clear phrases, which makes his speech more meaningful than it really is. I've already drawn him once, but it's quite possible that I'll do it again. 5. Griffin.
He's my son, ask questions. Characters that aren't on the main list, but are also my favorites: 1. These cute bunny fellas.
2. Hamish.
3. Aaaand... The Murk Raiders!

Alright!! Info page for Athootita since I said I'd do one for her!
@rebootgrimm
This is Athootita! She has no last name, but mainly goes by she/her, and is okay with they/them. I imagine she's Lesbian and Ace lmao.
She was born sometime in Gamelion, though 'born' isn't exactly what I'd use to describe how she was born. After a priestess of Hestia, by the name of Episimosita, cleansed her space—but then spoke harshly of the well meaning children from outside who simply knocked something over by accident at the temple, and whom she ended up snapping at despite their young age, she spoke to Hestia at the fire of how she wished somehow she knew why those children thought the way they do, and why in their right mind they always acted so 'selfishly' and 'obnoxiously'. Both as a gift, but also as a lesson, Athootita is born from the fire of the hearth slowly, seeming like a small monster as she crawls out—considering she has teeth out, black eyes, and all. It's understandable while Epi (I'll call her that for short) is freaked out at first, but even after it's made clear that Athootita is a young life form despite looking so monstrous, and does clearly have no bad intent and is acting out of curiosity, Epi is a bit in denial about being 'in the wrong' about the way she treated children—and still acts cold as a result. However, when Hestia finally swoops down once Athootita has grown a bit more, Epi seems to have finally learnt her lesson—but is obviously not absolved of guilt considering she tried to kill Athootita at some point. Hestia scolds her, and tells the distressed Epi that she can not keep Athootita due to how she's behaved, but that she should know better than this as a priestess from now on. Epi promises to do better, and Athootita is taken away. Epi is (understandably) filled with guilt for the rest of her life, though she's very bitter about it, even if she never directly acts in any ill way toward a child again. After she's taken though, Hestia looks for someone to care for Athootita, since she can't herself due to some reason that's unspecified. However, Hermes, at a weirdly convenient time—is feeling saddened since most of his own children have aged by now, and even if he won't admit it, he does kind of miss being a father of a young one. So when Hestia either notices this, or just notices him in general after asking other God's to care for Athootita, she takes it to him as a last chance kinda thing—and though he's quite busy, he gleefully accepts, and takes her as his new adoptive child. Which is basically Athootita's whole backstory.
Athootita is not a Goddess, I would say?? At least not yet. But she is the embodiment of innocence. As in, child-like innocence. So though she can grow, she always does have innocent intent with her actions, and doesn't know that much. And she can have a very childish view of things. Cuz.. well, she IS a kid right now, but still. Due to this though, Hermes is protective of her, and determined to not let anyone hurt his kid.
Regardless, Athootita likes flowers, water, and the sky. She dislikes overwhelming coldness, waiting for too long, or people being generally mean to others—or acting in ways she deems mean.
I imagine she might have a little symbol of a flower on her back? Like, a symbol of a daisy. And most of the flowers in her hair are white carnations. Her eyes also can go black still, and she gains sharp teeth and claws at will, though can also gain them if she's feeling aggressive. She's also technically immortal? But can still be hurt, and can only be killed if being hurt by a being more powerful than her.
Athootita is generally quite energetic, happy-go-lucky, and naive. She's very curious, and easily amazed. But can be a bit obnoxious with some of the adventures she gets into sometimes, and causes trouble with both her dad and just other people in general a lot. She doesn't exactly understand that actions have consequences at first, which is why she gets into so much chaos, until Hermes possibly teaches her otherwise, though it seems unlikely he would since he's into mischief anyway. And she also cares for her loved ones, like Hermes, very much—and is both defensive of them and sweet with them.
She likes to skip pebbles and rocks, climb up things, and explore as hobbies—though she also enjoys listening to Hermes' lyre, and music in general. She has no exact role in the Pantheon at all yet due to how protected she has to be, but I imagine as the literal embodiment of innocence, she can tend to bring out the more parental or childish side of people quite easily—and serves as also kind of a symbol of a parent-child relationship, which could technically be considered a 'domain' of hers?? Unsure.
She's stupidly good at getting away from things before she can get into danger herself, is incredibly fast, and can stand her ground when she thinks someone's being unfair. But she is again quite naive, oblivious, and doesn't understand most things.
She has very pristine teeth for some reason. And I also imagine that her voice is very soft, quickly-spoken and high pitched. In human years, she'd be considered about like 13-15 at the time of Epic? But in most of her stories where she's younger with Hermes, she's about like 7-8 or 6-7 in human years. She usually wears whatever pretty rags Aphrodite gives her since Aphrodite favors her a bit (possibly due to Athootita befriending Eros and seeing him as a brother figure). Athootita is physically quite fragile and weak, so again, people have to be VERY careful with her.
She can only speak Greek, and has a Greek accent, but can understand other languages by just absorbing foreign text from a book and feeding it to her own brain as knowledge (it's a bit of an odd ability but ehh). She lives in a pretty, but large cave in the ocean with her own little bed and everything—and it mainly consists of random rocks, crystals, or tunnels. Hermes tends to visit her there a lot, and often takes care of her.
Athootita giggles a lot when she speaks. But she often exclaims 'Ohhhh!' out of astonishment. She's sometimes referred to as 'The Child of Hermes' or as 'Innocence-Embodiment' by both mortals and immortals alike. She's mainly scared of the dark after one particular incident with Scylla, which leads to Hermes setting up illuminated crystals in her cave that make it all lit up so she won't be afraid. But she has a general phobia of Hermes or anyone she cares about not loving her anymore for some reason. She has a good habit of defending herself when she realizes it's necessary, but a bad habit of not picking up on things.
Athootita stims a lot, and shakes her fists from excitement or jumps up and down as some of her little mannerisms. And she always seems to be bouncing around anytime she's moving. She technically is smart? She's just very oblivious, and again has a childish way of viewing things, so she just tends to trusts whatever Hermes says, who does usually teach her things—but can also trick her on purpose for laughs occasionally.
She's very interested in the growth of life, weather, and mortals, though also other creatures in general. She can laugh very easily, and usually has very naive solutions to problems. She can notice when people are upset, though she either resorts to giving them a hug, or trying to cheer them up with games or stuff in her pretty cave. She's very imaginative, and plays games by herself a lot. Athootita is very extroverted, and also hates it when people aren't fair about things. She's usually in quite a good mood, and also has a lil handshake with Hermes where she bangs her fists with his own, and then forms the symbol of a wing with their hands at the end./lh
Her lucky number is 4, and a prized possession she has is a little orange carnelian crystal Hermes gave to her as a present one time when going on a speech about how much he cared about her, and the little crystal necklace he once gave her as a way of letting her know that he'd 'always be there for her'.
She tends to prefer milk to drink, and also honey combs, though maybe cookies to eat. She always smells like water and rocks due to the cave she lives in. She always cries to Hermes whenever she's in distress about something, or needs help. Athootita would love to explore the world more, but has generally no goal right now since she's just living her best life. She doesn't need sleep, though she sometimes does anyway just to relax, and usually sleeps quire peacefully in a curled up position on one of the rocks, or even her own personal bed anytime she does. She can play with discus', and can also imitate bird calls. And anytime she 'sleeps', she makes little hums that almost sound like a bird cooing, but it's really her own equivalent of 'snoring'.
She has no exact beliefs other than 'world interesting!! Mean people bad, nice people good!! Don't be mean ever, you should always be friends with people and be happy :(('. And has a very positive self perception due to Hermes' constant praise and affection, so she's very happy with herself and likes herself a lot. She's very optimistic as well.
Her main motivation is simply just to be with her father, and those she loves every single day. And she believes that everyone deserves a second chance, as long as they mean it when they say they're sorry. The only dark secret she really has is both that she once lied to Hermes (which she deeply regrets and has apologized to him for, but told no one else about), and also that she can become kind of dangerous when in her more monstrous form—though only because she's physically more dangerous, and not because she actually wants to hurt anyone.
Her biggest dream is to see all of Olympus, and one day have her own room up there, so she can be with Hermes and Eros all the time basically. A small goal she later has is to gain her own island, since Circe has her own island anyway where she can control things. And Athootita'a deepest fear is dissapointing those she loves. She suffers from the external conflict of always causing mischief and never really facing the consequences for it, but she also suffers the internal conflict of being so oblivious she doesn't even realize any danger—and just thinks everything is perfectly fine most of the time.
She always regrets lying to her dad, and making him feel bad in any way. She wants everyone to be proud of her out of everything else in the world, which is why she's do determined to explore and 'impress people'. The external pressures she faces mainly has to do with some of her friends maybe sometimes getting a bit mad at her for her mischief, especially since she always gets off scott free, with Hermes being her dad and the God of Trickery. A insecurity she has later on is whether or not Hermes is proud of her. Her greatest joy is simply being alive at all. And a nightmare for her would be being taken away from everything she's ever cared for, and everyone she's ever loved. She eventually goes on to become a Bringer of Innocence when she ages more, and basically helps protect children and let them be kids while they still can.
Her abilities involve: Growing fangs, having sharp claws and super speed, being able to see things from a far away distance, being able to hide within a matter of seconds, always somehow weaseling her way out of things, etc etc
I shall post more on her later on—but this is everything about her for now./lh
However, I will post short stories about her and Hermes soon, simply to show off their dynamic, and because I was going to do something like that anyway—

"how does the god-tier trio show affection?"
long over due lol
John
shows love through quality time and acts of service
he would spend a lot of time with his s/o simply hanging out together while doing stupid shit lol
he isn't so easy to trust, so it takes a lot of bonding together for him to really open up towards you.
once he does like you, doing things for you is sort of a way to show his worth, since he's used to people overlooking him.
abandoning him...
though he's not the best cook, nor a good tutor, and is more likely a patient than a caregiver... he really does try for you.
anything from tidying up or carrying your bag for you is a gesture of love to him. making your day just a bit brighter is an achievement in his books.
who knows? he might even teach you some of his secret boxing techniques. you're welcome, honey!
personally, i think he's an anxious attachment style that shifts towards disorganized attachment as the story progresses. especially when analyzing his relationship with seraphina.
he puts you on to a pedestal and can only pray he doesn't ruin it all due to his... everything. it's been so long since he felt like this about someone. he can't destroy it.
even if destruction is all he knows how to do.
he's extremely hyper vigilant of your needs. it's sometimes a good thing, when he's so observant of your likes, dislikes, and what makes you comfortable or uncomfortable.
but, as we saw in the webtoon, if his perspective shows you getting distant from him or getting closer to others, or god forbid both...
...yeah he's ripping his hair out and foaming at the mouth.
therefore, he receives love best through words of affirmation.
he quite literally needs you to tell him he's doing okay and that everything will be alright. he often gets lost in a hell of his own creation, spiraling down into it.
your words make it better. you make him better. that's why he loves you.
Seraphina
shows her love through quality time and words of affirmation
by analyzing her relationship with john, it all starts with just a chance given.
just the chance of having a conversation, or being next to one another, or understanding each other's mindsets.
she doesn't fall in love easily, not by any standards, but that's really all it takes. just a chance.
she isn't one to do all the mushy pet names and "I love you"s, but she's also not shy about her love for you, making sure that you know that, especially when you're feeling down.
whenever you're feeling sad, she'll be the one to take you out of that mindset. need her to solve the problem? she's got you. need to just vent and have her listen? she's all ears. just need someone to cry on? to tell you it'll be okay? she's there for you.
that being said, in my book, she's a secure attachment style with avoidant tendencies.
for starters, she isn't codependent by any means, actually, she's rather hyper independent. she's always done things by herself, solved her own problems, wiped her own tears. her self reliance and negative view of others is best illustrated during her perfect era flashbacks. (why does this sound like my apush essays...)
but, from the beginning of the webtoon till now, she's been able to settle into a secure attachment style.
she isn't insecure, but not dismissive. she's adamant about her own feelings, but doesn't disregard others. she doesn't like conflict, but won't run from it.
overall, she's a very healthy girlfriend. despite dealing with her own problems, she tries not to let that affect you and your relationship.
however, she isn't perfect, and sometimes she spirals. and when that happens, she receives love best through quality time.
actions speak louder than words and knowing that you're there for her makes whatever she's going through that much more manageable. she finds, over your relationship, that you've become her peace of mind.
Arlo
guys dw i know my man from personal experience
he shows love through acts of service and giving gifts.
first of all, don't tell me this man wouldn't be lowkey spoiling his partner, whether they need it or not. he smells of rich people and he most definitely is spending it on you. not in a sugar daddy way, but in a "i love you, and this is how you know it," sort of way.
in a way, we can see this behavior from him in the comics, but very subtly. its less that he's doing something for someone to make them happy, and more in a way that the actions he takes shows that he cares about others.
after his ambush of john in season one, he tells elaine to heal melli and ventus first before him, the designated king. he warns seraphina about the authorities looking for her, allowing her to escape their grasp. when the siege of wellston happens, it's blyke and him that sacrifice themselves to help isen, remi, and john.
helping you, whether directly or indirectly, is how he shows how much he cares about you. besides that, i think he would give you lots of gifts.
i don't have any analyses to back this up, i'm just pushing my sugar daddy arlo agenda.
okay, walk with me, imagine you and arlo, on a date, at the mall. you look around and people carry shopping bags in their hands with joyous smiles on their faces. you look through your wallet and... a fly buzzes out. you feel your eyes start to sting as embarrassment and disappointment swell deep inside. suddenly, you feel a hand at your waist. "don't worry, baby [girl/boy/boss baby]. i got you.", arlo says, handing you his black card.
seeeee? you get it.
he's definitely an avoidant personality style. hyper independent? check. avoid emotional intimacy? check. hides or suppresses feelings? check.
we see this throughout the webtoon and can even just infer it. the moment we're introduced to him, arlo is king. he's the one people go to when they don't know what to do. he's the one that leads the turf wars and keeps wellston's ranking high. he's the one that put the school back together after rei's graduation and who kept it together once seraphina exited the hierarchy.
when everyone is relying on you, who do you lean back on? that's right, no one. he keeps almost everyone at a distance, even those he cares about such as holden and elaine(i guess?). he doesn't listen to isen's warning in season one, why should he? in his mind, at the time, the only person who he could listen to was himself.
and look at what happened. yikes. wouldn't want that on my conscious. but arlo does, he regrets and regrets, and asks "what if?" so much that it no longer sounds like a real sentence. just syllables bouncing off the edges of his mind. sometimes, he just needs to hear you say he'll be alright.
like john, arlo receives love best through words of affirmation. I guess when you're so stressed without a direction on what you're doing and where you're going, someone reassuring you that you're doing it all right eases the mind. or maybe not just that you're doing it right, but that it's okay to do it wrong. mistakes are human, and no matter how strong any of us are, we're only human. hearing that from you... it means everything to him.
#michixoxo#unordinary#unordinary arlo#unordinary headcanons#unordinary john#unordinary seraphina#why are my arlo headcanons so long omfg#i'm actually insane over him#he's so babygirl#why am i good at analyzing fictional characters but not us history...

HSR OC - Coal (harmony, fire)

This is a concept based on my dream!
>basic info<
Name: [■■■■■■] Coal
Age: [■■] (looks 18-25)
Sex: female(self-proclaimed)
Species: [■■■■■] human(self-proclaimed)
Birthday: [■■■■]
Homeland: [■■■■■]
Faction: none
Path: [■■■■] Harmony(self-proclaimed)
Coal is a strange woman of unknown origins. Every bit of information about her is either self-proclaimed or extremely doubtful, or both.
>appearance<
Height: [■■■] 181 cm
Weight: [■■] 64 kg
Hair colour: coal black (ash blonde)
Eye colour: foggy red
Skin colour: light grey
Coal is a young artificial looking woman. Her skin looks either snow white or light grey, depending on lighting, and she has several burn scars on her legs. She has long unruly dark hair, that, as she claims, is actually ash blonde. It's hard to say if it's true, but every bit of her hair is actually covered in thick layer of coal powder, making it impossible to tell the real colour. Her eyes are of deep red colour covered with some kind of foggy lenses. Coal is quite tall and skinny, her limbs are rather thin, especially her legs, but some well trained muscle can be seen on her arms.
She is always dressed in old burnt dress and refuses to change it as well as wearing shoes. Her left leg is covered in bandages that she takes good care of. Coal also wears some collars and belt looking accessories, her right hand is always covered with a glove, and her right hand is bound by belts with a strange crystal of unknown origin hanging from it.
>personality<
Temperament: melancholic
MBTI: INFP
Alignment: [■■■ ■■■■■] lawful good
Coal is a slow and rather apathetic person. She usually looks awkward and sad as that's how she feels most of the time. Her sadness and confusion never fade away, even when she smiles and nods when others ask if she understood. She always longs for things that can't be fulfilled, and as much as she's aware of it, she stays hopeful no matter how desperate things get. She's the type to fight until the end with blood, sweat, tears, and last bit of hope. Coal always tries to kindle this hope within other people as well. As much as she looks like she doesn't care about people, she actually does, very much so. She wants to be of use, she wants to help, she wants to make sure that nothing bad happens. Even when nobody understands her, even when nobody asks her for help... She does this not out of any selfish tendency but vice versa, out of selflessness and genuine care. Coal's heart is filled with love and hope.
Coal speaks in quite a strange way. Her speech is slow, emotionless, and filled with riddles. She doesn't intend for it to be hard to understand, it's just that she doesn't understand how to talk to others. Simply put, she is horribly socially awkward. Her thoughts can also be a bit too fast for her slow expression, making it hard to be properly put and understood.
>trivia<
Favourite food: [■■■■■], coal, chocolate, goat cheese
Least favourite food: oranges, leftovers
Likes: cats, hot baths, women, [■■■■■]
Dislikes: IPC, men, children
Hobby: drawing
Talent: blacksmithing
• Coal is a comic reluef character. Her birth and entire existence is an anecdote so funny that it can make Aha laugh, so they blessed her. Coal doesn't know it, but she has some suspicions because the entire universe laughs at things that sound A LOT like her life.
• She comes from a dying planet that she vowed to save and travels the universe to find how. It's already dead, though. She just doesn't know it and refuses to believe it's truth.
• Coal's memory is very foggy. She barely remembers her life before the doomsday. After she started traveling through the galaxy, though, her memory got better, and she can recall almost everything she met during her journey, especially her friends.
• She has low empathy, but she tries her best to put herself in others' shoes and understand their point of view. She fails to do so.
• Coal can withstand extreme heat. She can even bathe in lava. Why does she have the burns, though? Well, that's a very funny story that she's too embarrassed to tell.
• She easily falls in love with women. However, she prefers to admire her crushes from afar. She has a massive crush on Jade after she met her. Yes, she hates the IPC, but, damn, Jade is fine!
• She can cast a thick smog on planets with her presence alone. She can't control it.
• Coal fights with a pickaxe. It's old and rusty, but very reliable.
• Coal has horns of coal. They break and regrow very easily. She often breaks them without realizing it. She also uses them as an emergency food supply.

39 40 41 42 43 E F G H for Evie and if possible Alan.
Ask game here!
39. How easy is it for them to ignore flaws in other people?
For Evie, it's kind of a mixed bag. Obviously if it's something very severe or glaring (like Caleb dating someone as awful as Zoe), she'll call it out. But most of the time, Evie has a hard time judging how severe certain flaws are. "Is this worth bringing up? Would I just be making a big fuss out of nothing if I bring it up? Or am I doing harm and being negligent by not bringing it up?"
Alan is pretty much the same as Evie, but doesn't spend as much time worrying if something is worth bringing up or not.
40. How sensitive are they to their own flaws?
Evie is very senstive to her own flaws and constantly questioning herself. "Did I handle this right? Did I severely hurt their feelings by saying this particular thing?"
Alan can sometimes struggle to recognize his own flaws. Sometimes he's afraid of spiraling into a self-deprecating mindset.
41. How do they feel about children?
Evie likes the idea of having kids one day, as long as she doesn't have to carry and give birth to them. She and Aiden have about 4 kids when they marry.
Alan is very unsure about kids. On one hand, he loves the idea of being able to pass down the positive influence his Dad had on him. On the other hand, he's not sure if being a dad is quite for him.
42. How badly do they want to reach their end goal?
Neither Evie nor Alan have spefic end goals. They have some things they'd like to achieve, but they wouldn't consider them "end goals".
43. If someone asked them to explain their sexuality, how would they do so?
Evie: "I'm bi with a preference for men. To any dickholes who think this means I'm 'actually just a straight woman looking for attention' or whatever, let me put it like this: I like both mint ice cream and chocolate ice cream. However, I fucking love mint a lot more and it is my primary ice cream flavor preference. Does this mean I dislike chocolate? The correct answer is no, I still like chocolate, I just prefer mint."
Alan: "I'm heteroromantic, and sexually heteroflexible. I only have romantic feelings for women and I tend to have sexual feelings mainly for women as well. However, I'm down to do it with a guy if he's cool."
E) Are they someone you would get along with? Would they get along with you?
Evie is very heavily based off of me, so by virtue of that, I think we'd get along. Then again, god kows how long it will be before we get sick of ourselves.
I think Alan and I would mostly get along, though at times he'd probably be a bit much for me.
F) What do you feel when you think of your OC (pride, excitement, frustration, etc)?
Pride and excitement for both of them. Creating these characters is just so fun. And it's especially fun to make two completely different characters from the same book's MC, and explore how they compare and contrast to one another and how their in-game storylines/experiences are different from one another.
Evie is especially meaningful to me because she's heavily based off of me. One half "the person I was in high school" and one half "the person I wish I was in high school". It kind of gives me a sense of comfort to create this character who has a lot of the flaws I have and is working on them, and in the process gets to attend this high school that provides a sort of a healing experience for her.
Also, making GNC characters and relationships is just very cathartic for me.
G) What trait of theirs bothers you the most?
Evie can be impulsive and say or do stupid shit sometimes, to say the least. Moments like those often contribute to her "did I do this right or did I fuck up badly" anxiety.
Alan does not take any shit from anyone that harms or gets in the way of something important to him. In a general sense, this can be good, but sometimes his perception of morality in the situation can get very muddled. Often, he fails to understand a situation's complexity, and instead behaves under the mindset of "does something that harms me = bad".
This becomes most apparent in Book 2. He'll side with the cheerleaders, even rooting for Hearst at the basketball game, but once he finds out that Isa cut cheerleading entirely because of that stunt, he'll be quick to turn around and blame them for it.
This mindset would be more directly challenged in Book 3, when he's pit against Kieran for a special role in the cheer squad. On one hand, that spot was promised to him, he can't just give it up to some newbie Heart kid, he wants what he earned. On the other hand, Kieran is also a male cheerleader, one that is constantly being taken advantage of; and was originally slated for a similar spot back at Hearst– he's not doing anything to hurt Alan on purpose, and he's the type of guy that Alan would likely be best friends with and find a sense of solidarity with.
H) What trait do you admire most?
Answered here for Evie
For Alan, I think it's how masteful he is at the art of not giving a fuck. He's a guy with a huge ego and very little sense of humbleness or modesty, but it works in his favor here. He almost exclusively likes feminine and feminine-associated things, and he's proud of it. He dresses stylishly, he's fantastic at cheerleading, and he owns it. When he achieves something or he helps others achieve something, he's very openly proud of it.
Part of it is sort of taking after the stereotypical "popular diva cheerleader girl" stereotype, but he soon realizes it's also kind of his way of reminding himself that he isn't lesser for having GNC preferences, no matter how much he may have been/might be harassed for it. He understands there is such a thing as too big of an ego, but he also hates that there tends to be such a stigma on self-love. It's okay to be a bit of a diva and a show-off sometimes. He's fem, he's an achiever, and he's proud of all of it.

Solaris

And Tiamat.
They've known each other for a long time and honestly Tia thinks that fact is terrible. Solaris on the other hand considers Tia his sworn friend because they are opposites. A fact that leaves Tia exasperated because she knows he's being honest and that there's no changing his mind.
Tia believes in letting Chaos run rampant. Picking people to mess with just to bring a little or a lot of chaos into their lives in some way or form. She also enjoys being around others who likes chaos. On the flipside she's no fan of order, considering it constricting and in the way. But that doesn't mean she's going to go out of her way to antagonize a being of order. Knowing Solaris for so long means she's well aware Chaos and Order are two sides of a coin. Can't have one without the other and that a proper balance is needed. Well as she heard from Solaris once, the balance is more long as somewhere is orderly enough, its fine for elsewhere to be completely chaotic. Thus why she's so exasperated by his behavior. He acts nothing like a being of order should, he embraces chaos because it is apart of the cycle of chaos and order. Though running into him in the present day and meeting UMI (@ancientforgcd) let her understand, he's actually the only one acting properly.
Solaris on the other hand always found how Tiamat lives her life interesting. Truly embracing the unpredictability of chaos. First splitting herself in three, then the three pieces of her ended up in her younger sisters. Yet the fire sister was Tiamat's younger twin. Then said three sisters could fuse together to bring Tiamat back temporarily till they with Starlette's (@hxroic-wxlls-rxborn) help gave Tiamat her own body once more resulting in all the members of the Chaos Family being together once more. From there it was always one random thing after another and he heard quite a bit about things that unfolded including Tiamat getting together with Azathoth (Also ancientforgcd). As for his own beliefs? Chaos and Order should flow naturally. Thus the Orderverse still has its moments of chaos but he has things set up in such a way that order can always be brought forth no matter how bad it gets. The chaos is unavoidable but order will always be born from said chaos. Though he will admit making a reality in such a fashion means it drives off every single being of chaos he knows. That was not intentional, so he only learned recently organized chaos is something they dislike. Which is a shame because he wanted to invite them to come visit. But alas he knows not to push people boundaries.
Since learning about UMI, Tia has been letting Solaris calling her a friend slide. While Solaris shakes his head at UMI misunderstanding how Order should behave, a misunderstanding his daughter also shares. But in the long run they still prefer completely opposite things. Like Solaris liking knights while Tia prefers magic. Then the two just stares at Freyja who combines both and are grateful she only corrupted the meaning of the word knight for the Chaosverse.

Ikemen Vampire OC Profile: Amy
Making introduction posts for our my OCs. I chose to start with Amy, since she's my most written. (there may be some future addition to this as I learn more of who my character is in this fandom)
Basic Description: Golden-brown, slight wavy hair, slight bellow her shoulders, often fashioned into a braid to get it out of the way). Blue eyes. Sun-tanned skin from spending too much time outdoors. Athletic build.
Name: Karin Amelia "Amy" Auren
Age: 22
Date of Birth: 20/06/1996
Ethnicity: Mixed Japanese/American
Hobbies/Interests: Reading, music, cooking, running and has a past story in school's fencing competitions, in her original time video-games, roller skating
Dislikes: Being lied to, being underestimated, having to stay still, being in a leadership position (with some exceptions when she needs to), seeing people fight (especially people close to her), loud noises, carrots and beetroot
Phobias/Fears: Abandonment and loss, feeling trapped, big fires
Weakness: Despite being a master in the kitchen, she is bad with other detail oriented tasks, light touches, short movements, small components
Habits/Quirks: Sometimes walks and read at the same time (loves to read but is very anxious to sit for long), can sing herself into a trance-like state while working or to control herself in situations that may cause panic; in her time she usually went around town in roller skaters (she has a especial hate of closed vehicles so its either the skaters, a bike or motorcycle), try not to but she tends to fidget with things or ramble when nervous
Skills/Talents: Won some school competitions in fencing and gymnastics as a child, running; music (singing and playing the violin); cooking, general survival knowledge, know various languages (is more fluent in English, Spanish and Japanese as family’s languages, Arabic she learned from her godfather andFrench from school but know a little of various others); she is agile, flexible and fast, sharp minded, also very observant
Family relationships with other OCs: Hikari (older sister), Kisara (older twin), Hana (youngest sister), also treats her friends as siblings
Curiosities: She is nearsighted, but few people know because she wears contacts, since glasses make activity difficult (and she doesn't like how she looks with them. In her time sometimes she read fanfiction
Personality:
Amy is very friendly and seems very extroverted (although she is more of an ambivert), loves surrounding herself with friends hate to be left alone most of the time, especially for meals, but sometimes she needs that lone time.
She is very protective of her loved ones and children.
She comes off as strong and fearless, always calm and cool, capable of nearly anything, but that's the person she wants people to see.
Although she can fight she is more of a pacifist and would rather solve a conflict in another way, and she can be quite persuasive, coming off even as a bit manipulative.
Very curious, she loves learning new things but do so in pieces because her attention span is quite short.
She is loyal to a fault and grown too dependent on people. Also helpful and hardworking to a fault, she often try to do too much and push herself too hard.
She is honest and doesn't lie outright, that doesn't mean sometimes her words aren't carefully chosen, even to a misleading point.
Although she looks very casual, she puts great care in her appearence.
Many people find her difficult to understand, because she usually only shows a piece of herself needed at a time, like an actress interpreting a character, but these masks are always a part of her

That's what Frank is for helping her out her to understanding English what they're saying and what they're talking about.
Poppy- she always visited her every single day to bake cookies together that she likes any cookies that she likes with poppy.
Sally- for Sally she didn't know that Eleanor is a amazing artist, singer, Japanese, and sometimes a bit of Spanish, of her albums. Eleanor has a love interest with Sally of her performance and the way Sally likes her songs and the way Sally loves Eleanor singing.
Howdy- whenever Eleanor meets howdy for the first time going inside the Bodega. Howdy has a love interest with Eleanor he really thinks that Eleanor is super adorable cat in the world, but for Eleanor she kinda like howdy as a friend the way he was sweet of her it's not because of for struggling her English but sometimes she does understand well a bit the way howdy was talking with Eleanor and she's always listens with howdys conversation.

6-9 for volya pls!!!
infodumping! about my specialist girl! time!! my favorite time!! let's do this!
6. How does your oc feel about labels? Theirs, or in general?
Volya really doesn't like labels for herself. For convenience as a youngling, she identified as aroace because that felt as accurate as she could get. But compared to her other aroace peers, she definitely was out of place. I think once she falls in love with Poe, she officially sheds any inclination to label herself as anything - if she's feeling particularly coy, she'd say it's because attachment isn't the Jedi way, why would she attach herself to an identity that's nebulous and sometimes restrictive? She does, however, still stick with "asexual" as an identity, albeit perhaps a bit more privately - she does have sex and enjoys/wants it, but still doesn't experience attraction quite like everyone else. That said, she also doesn't know how to explain what the difference is between her and everyone else either.
Generally speaking though, she understands why labels exist and why they're important. She understands what it's like to search for an identity that feels like it fits; she's constantly in a nexus point of identity, and clings to the facts about herself she knows for certain are true. So she can certainly relate with that, so she doesn't dislike that they exist. She just dislikes them for herself.
7. Is there something that could cause your oc to question their identity? What?
[points] yeah, this asshole. also, not pictured, ilya zephanir, apparently.
in my resistance era 'verses, volya has spent over a decade believing she's aroace and openly identifying as such, but pretty immediately gets a crush on Poe which sends her in a tailspin - a giddy tailspin, because Volya's secretly always longed for that kind of connection.
But more seriously, if we do wind up going the route of romantic voyzeph (which looks more and more likely by the second), I think it would be fun because that would also result in Volya really having to question things: she thought she was only into Poe as a person, but (with the caveat that obviously voy and zeph's got gender fuckery going on) I also don't think Volya's considered that she's got that setting for 'ladies'.
in the clone wars verses she doesn't live long enough to get to question her sexuality. sorry voy.
8. Have they had struggles with their identity, be it due to internal or external reasons?
I think Volya struggled with it a lot as a youngling/padawan, in a lot of the same ways that I do - this disconnect with people who share your identity (or what you think is your identity). Much like Volya feels like too much of a Jedi for the Resistance, and too much of a soldier for the Jedi, I think that she felt like she didn't fit in with her peers who were solidly nonromantic aroace - because Volya wanted, and she didn't dislike the idea of being that close to a person. She couldn't imagine anyone specifically, but she could still fantasize. Not to mention, she enjoys romance novels and the butterflies they give her, and the material she could daydream about later. But she also couldn't relate to the experiences of people who were far more open to the idea of romance or sex, either; largely due to her own traumas, but also because she just couldn't. picture herself doing any of those things with just anyone. But she also couldn't picture herself becoming intimate enough with anyone to enjoy any of the things she dreamt of - so I think Volya just threw herself into her studies and into flying to ignore that sense of unbelonging.
9. Are there cultural or lore specific aspects to their identity? If applicable, does their species affect it?
I think a lot of Volya's concept of romance is a bit shaped by being a Twi'lek, yeah. Obviously, since she's feminine presenting, she's dealt with a lot of sexual harassment over the years, suffered from 'friendships' that abruptly ended when they realized she didn't want to be with them romantically - and not to mention, she was rescued by the Jedi from slavers...which definitely adds something to Volya's initial identification as being sex repulsed, I think. It's something that's been used to hurt her multiple times in the past, of course it's something she struggles with accepting - and even when she does start exploring that side of herself, it comes with a lot of guilt when she realizes she enjoys it. She doesn't want to fit into the perception people already have of her, she wants to challenge that belief.
But - according to a guide on Twi'lek lore I've tragically misplaced - there is a marriage ceremony called Jasshi'rr, and basically it's a lot more permanent than regular marriage; it's about uniting people body, mind and soul, and there's no concept of divorce. Nothing can separate those two souls, not even death. And that's kind of how Volya perceives romance - it has to be with someone that she can unite with, body mind and soul, who will stay with her no matter what. That's the level of intimacy she craves, and it's largely due to her culture - and as you can imagine, it's a fun thing to balance with her being a Jedi as well; when that's her baseline, it opens the door for a lot of discussion and struggles when it comes to attachment.

When you read a long thread about how they dislike Polin and if up to them Penelope would be "independent" alone etc. etc (pretending they want this because they care about the character)...and how they hope another storyline overshadows their story like the Featherington's overshadowed Kate/Anthony and end up with tags for Kanthony.
Way to prove what everyone thinks of your fanbase as being true and invalidate EVERYTHING you said about Polin.
The Featherington's did NOT overshadow Kate and Anthony. Kate and Anthony had the most screen time. The damn triangle overshadowed your precious couple. That isn't Charithra's fault either, she did her job. It's the former showrunner and others who signed off on the plot.
It will never cease to amaze me why that fanbase continues to embarrass themselves claiming the Featherington's impacted in ANYWAY their storyline. They were around in season one you know and Daphne and Simon's story did quite well. Luke, Nicola and the Featherington characters had nothing to do with the mess that was Anthony proposing to the wrong sister while the sister he actually loves denies her feelings most of the timeline and then insists he keep the engagement when he is looking for a way out.
As for a story overshadowing, it isn't going to happen. As bad as that story was, it still was the main plotline. As will be Colin and Penelope. Nothing will overshadow that. Except maybe a Whistledown reveal to the ton but that is part of their story too soo...
However if people enjoy other stories that cool with me because I'm hopeful I will too. Unlike these nutcases, I actually like the Bridgerton's and Will and while I don't love Portia and Prudence (because their characters thus far haven't been lovable) they serve their roles as antagonists/villains/comedic relief well depending on what they are given to play.
When I say I don't love them btw, mean the characters. I LOVE the actress playing Portia. But like with Marina, she hasn't presented herself yet as a person I could like. I can understand certain motivations driving choices made, but that doesn't mean I have to LIKE you. There are some other characters that do things I may not agree with, but show more conflicted feelings about what they've done. Portia and Marina for the most part never rarely have done so and usually just when caught out. It isn't the same thing.
The first time I felt anything actually real from Portia was the last episode of season 2 when she makes it clear Lord Featherington trying to ditch her daughters was a line not to be crossed. Even if she doesn't always (often) treat well, you did finally see her a mother for one.
And I want Francesca to marry John because I personally like her story with Michael and you can't get to that one without the one with John. Which may sound horrible as means he dies, but this is fiction. Not real life.
And I like seeing Cressida constantly upstaged given the way she acts and Lady Danbury although really I hate the sl from Queen Charlotte for her with Ledger so I'm less enthused because of that....and I love Queen Charlotte and so forth. Personally I think some people need to get over themselves, realize you can love all the characters and otherwise shut the hell up about their narrow view of a Kanthony hour only. Because you will never have that. No "couple" fan ever will.

You can refer my account, Dua. Digimon is always the topic for many discussions, and to easy to keep track, I will quote what she wrote in her post. What was quote will be like this:
quote content
Alright, let's start.
who was struggling to understand why I dislike Digimon Tamers
I must correct. If you dislike, you dislike. The number of reasons really don't affect it. I will just consider and analyze Dua's reasons.
Digimon Tamers went out of its way to be graphic about things that didn't need to be done graphically.
Technially, Tamers and the infamous episode 13 of Digimon Adventure 02 are both having the same writing style by Konaka. To provide context, he is one of the extremists with doubtful thinking and many problems after 2000s. I suppose many know about his infamous Tamers reading relative to political and paranoid, you can find sources on the Internet.
Even though you can consider Tamers as his least personal-affected products, you can still see Konaka's specific writing, which leads to a quite dark tone in the show (almost all Tamer dubs fan don't really realize how graphic tone it is thanks to the American dub jokes.)
As a heavy sci-fi, personal-express show, I think the level of graphic is suitable for this season. If it was for any others season, I will protest, but it's just go with Tamers' theme.
Example 1: Jeri becomes suicidal during the whole D-Reaper arc. The reasons are different - but we've seen suicidal characters before. I will use Ken as an example instead of Yamato because that's a whole other can of worms. Ken wanted to die to stop the reactor - he didn't care about his own life - we didn't need to see a physical manifestation of him trying to strangle himself, we were shown it in other ways. Jeri trying to strangle herself was way too overkill and unnecessary.
It's a bit difficult to keep track because she used both sub and dub names. Tamers was different from Adventure:
Adventure focus on self-realize what can be improve, then improve it, while still being harmonic within a big group.
02 focus on how being social and having help from close-knit friends can help you complete yourself.
Tamers focus on how someone go so against hero tropes (Takato with his childish, innocent, soft, a bit selfish, Jianliang with his pacifist thinking, Ruki with her antisocial, rude tone) can still become such ones with some support from each other and their partners. Their character development arcs are also much more personal and long: they are almost separate and difficult to notice.
But you can see how the difference it is, Tamers doesn't have the same character deployment.
So what is this relevant to the above reason?
There's only one thing not good about the way Adventure write characters: almost all children at that age won't be that altruistic.
Tamers can be claimed as Adventure's thought experience: it gives out many "if" of Adventure. What if?
the children and Digimon all don't have their personality match?
the children has less choice on acting morally and pacifically?
the enemy wasn't Digimon but a program?
the family don't want their child to go save the world and also cry?
And so on.
Let's go back to the topic. Actually, much more people are suicidal by a very selfish reason. Not all will sacrifice themselves to redempt. Juri is an example to how people in real life have suicidal thinking.
Sometimes, people are so stubborn that only graphic description can help them realize that is not good, and you must go forward. At the same time, Juri's personality is not like Ken so much that it will feel weird if you write the suicidal situation diffrently.
Example 2: Normalising killing digimon To me, a good show needs to have a difference between the hero and the villain. This show really didn't. Like Digimon Kaiser didn't mind killing digimon who got in the way of Chimeramon and he destroyed thousands of homes. Wormmon died because of him too. But he was a villain at that point in time. In Digimon Tamers, even characters like Guilmon absorb the data of the digimon they defeat to gain more power so then what makes Beelzemon evil if he does the same to Leomon? Why are Takato and Guilmon considered the heroes and Beelzemon is considered the villain.
Killing in Adventure is about survival, and in 02 is to reduce the damage and injury to the world. I don't see much difference in Tamers. Beside Ruki who intentionally hunt Digimon (and only for the early part of the show) and Ryo (because Cyberdramon basically have ZeedMilleniumon inside him), it's not like they absorb all Digimon: In the end, the trio and their Digimon compromise by loading Digimon who challenge them and are obviously carrying murderous intent themselves.
And I don't think force a Digimon to restart from their baby state with their memories and mental injury is much better than just absorb their data...
The main problem with Beelzumon's action is that Leomon completely doesn't challenge or cause harm to him or anyone, not like wild Digimon. Beelzebumon selfishly cared only about his own strength knowing that this would traumatize Juri and all of the other Tamers who had seen him as their friends, so that is considered as villain. And that particular episode absolutely doesn't state that Takato and Guilmon's actions as heroic.
Just because the line between hero and villain in Tamer is thinner doesn't cause in the lack of it.
Example 3: Toxic parents Toxic parents is another way that Tamers tried to be dark but we've already seen that with Ken and Sam. And with Ken, it was even worse than Jeri because Jeri only had an abusive father. Ken had an abusive father, mother and older brother. Like Jeri, Ken blamed himself for Sam's death believing it was his fault and while Jeri became miss damsel in distress, Ken turned into the villain - cause villains are made, not born.
Reuse meaningful and impactful situations doesn't mean trying to be dark, right? I don't see anything show that Tamers is trying to be darker than Adventure, as producers of Tamers actually really respect how deep in writing Adventure is.
About why Juri become miss damsel in distress, and Ken turned into the antagonist, it's because... the Kaiser is in the early part of 02. With D-Reaper as an enemy, Juri as a villain will feel like a boring pull for interest. You don't need the bad situations turn you into villain to be acceptably dark.
it did not do anything that Adventure 02 hadn't done already.
Like I have presented, Tamers don't need to do something that Adventure and 02 hadn't done. It's just its own season, and that's enough. And besides, Tamers had answered many "if" that fandom may have, and it does tell a meaningiful message about how everyone can be their own heroes in their stories. It's certainly not the best season, but I think these are suitable reasoning.
Say so, you always have right to not like Tamers. I just state suitable responding to the points you raise.
(Adventure and 02 are certainly not lighthearted season, I prefer the term "having positive messages". And if honest, even how cringe or weird it is, I don't assume we can compare darkness between seasons.)
With the presentation, I hope for your counterargument! Goodbye, and have fun!
Why I Dislike Digimon Tamers
Okay, so I was discussing this with an acquaintance who was struggling to understand why I dislike Digimon Tamers so I'll put it here. Digimon Tamers went out of its way to be graphic about things that didn't need to be done graphically.
Example 2: Normalising killing digimon
To me, a good show needs to have a difference between the hero and the villain.
Example 3: Toxic parents
Toxic parents is another way that Tamers tried to be dark but we've already seen that with Ken and Sam.
All in all, the reason I dislike Digimon Tamers is it did not do anything that Adventure 02 hadn't done already. People call Adventure 02 the lighthearted season but I would say its darker than Digimon Tamers without trying too hard.

🍰 for liz and zil?
🍰 [CAKE SLICE] How does your OC change as you get to know them?
Waugh this got LONG. I love these two a lot their relationship to others and eachother makes me so ill. Thank you for asking about them!
The basics are, as both Vrn and the audience get to know them, Liz and Zil go from these wild but knowing twin adventurers who barely get along to a pair of deeply caring but also very scared siblings who ultimately just don't want to lose eachother, but also want to grow as people away from eachother. Deeper look as to why under the cut.
Liz first appears to be a rash, rude brute who loves to fight and doesn't really care what anyone thinks. She just does what she thinks is best and only barely tries to align it with the set goal, but can also disregard that choice at the drop of a hat. But as time goes on, it becomes clear that she actually cares quite a lot about the people in her life, but struggles to express how she feels due to the high 'protector' pedestal she puts herself on. She also really thinks rather lowly of herself because she's constantly brought down and insulted, even by people she was/is close to. Even though she fights back against those blows, it doesn't mean they don't reinforce the idea that she's lesser compared to Zil and even Vrn, so it's all the more important that she protects them even at the cost of herself. A part of her knows and wants to let go of Zil, but a larger part of her is still so terrified of losing him because she blames herself for him losing his arm that she can't. She puts so much focus into this goal that she's pretty much forgotten what else she's wanted to do, like actually move on from her past relationship and find a new partner, but she also doesn't feel ready to pursue that goal and commit to someone out of fear that they'll grow to dislike her just like she thinks everyone else important to her already has.
Zil first appears to be extremely cold and unfazed, a genius engineer who hates being stuck with his sister because she's a nuisance. But in reality, Zil is incredibly passionate and even as excitable as Liz to an extent. He has just been extremely stifled, both societally because he was supposed to hold a high position in their family that wouldn't allow him to pursue his passions and by Liz refusing to leave his side after he lost his arm, which has drained and disheartened him to the state he's currently in. He wants to leave to pursue his passions; but the same time, he recognizes how self-sacrificial and provocative Liz is and it worries him. Unlike a lot of people, Zil knows and will defend that Liz isn't stupid, he knows she can be a cunning fighter and is actually socially aware+charming than he is. But that doesn't stop him from fearing the possibility of Liz getting herself killed, either by trying to save someone or by getting under the wrong person's skin, because she's so impulsive. He feels he communicated this well to Liz and she just won't accept it, but he always goes about it very unemotionally and that makes Liz angry because she doesn't care about the benefits of him leaving more than she cares about him living, which Zil would understand but Liz doesn't communicate this well at all because she's angry.
Tldr: Liz and Zil might seem like kinda cool loser asshats on the surface, but deeper down they're emotional loser asshats who need to learn to properly communicate both with other people and eachother.
#long post#interview ask meme#liamins ocs#Liz#Zil#Vrn#///She's not really brought up much here but she's always important when talking about these two#///They are sooooo fucked up and dumb#///There's other factors at play behind these feelings besides just being their feelings#///But I didn't want to go describing like every bit of lore behind them kfgdhdgdh

All forms of Mare
What happens when you combine a race that has powerful transformation with a race who any transformations is just them being obsessed with aesthetics? You get Mare! No this is not a joke and I will prove why. Also this is the only time I'm putting something here under a read more.

First off her default form. A fusion of her Chaos Aspect and Vacosian sides. This is also her true form, somewhat. Long story short Mare restrains herself because she dislikes things ending to quickly. That and one other thing Mare really thinks in the long run both are just eldritch beings that picked different names. They even share the same has a core, not a heart, trait. Which has led Mare to having an ever-shifting core.

Then we have Mare's true form. She started using it more often. Of course its just her default form but all of her power unleashed.

From there we get Haken. It wasn't originally a third form. But Mare got so fed up with her older sister she brought out as much power as she can generate using Haken turning her true form hair and eyes blue. While she can use lightning normally in this state fire, ice, haki and primordial chaos come together to create a special kind of lightning. But she rarely uses Haken since its just to create lightning unique to her.

From there the rarely seen vacosian side. This is Mare weakening herself on purpose to focus purely on what she inherited from Ruby (@ancientforgcd) resulting in her not having as much power as she normally would.

From there is Super Vacosian Blue/Perfect Blue/Evolved which she has outright stopped using nowadays because blue is not that strong by her standards.
On the flip side of things there's Super Vacosian 4. She hates it, she looks like a mini Ruby. Only time she's fine with that is when being a troll and introducing herself as 'Ruby Rose' to people who don't know any better.
Combining 4 and Blue we get Super Vacosian Voidal. A form that Mare does like to use. She's quite fond of it even if the form comes with some beastly instincts which combined with her chaotic nature really makes her wonder how she doesn't have more half siblings on both sides of her family. No, she's not going to answer what that means.

She also has a swimsuit for Voidal so she may occasionally go to the beach in the form.
Returning to the peak of power once more, we have Super Vacosian Chaos. The Vacosian version of Mare's default form. Her wings and tail are on full display in this form and it should be noted the wings are from Freyja. Its another form Mare may use a lot.
From there we once more have Mare powering down focusing solely on the Chaos Aspect half of her inherited from Freyja. She uses this form quite a bit. Even has a Halloween costume for it.

She's certainly ready for the Holiday.
From there we have True Chaos. Mare having a true understanding of her chaotic nature and thus drawing out its full power. Though since as I mentioned before beings obsessed with aesthetics. She rarely uses this look unless she's going bowling and thus gets the same amount of power in her previous look.
From there we get Chaotic Liberation. The Chaos Aspect version of Super Vacosian Chaos, combining primordial chaos with the authoity of liberation. Mare's rarely ever in the form nowadays but this also isn't the true version but a sealed one Mare made to be able to have a more normal fight with people.

Lastly if you've made it this far the True Chaotic Liberation.
Bonus Ultra Ego. Mare only ever uses this on the off chance she gets so mad at her parents she turns into the form out of reflex.

Can i request up for a Miles Edgeworth and Franziska Von Karma with a younger sibling!reader who's also clever as them however reader doesn't use their 100% braincells most of the time unless it's necessary?
If that's a bit difficult to write for, it's alright! You can do just a Younger Sibling!Reader general headcanons if you like
Oooooo I love writing silly little guys don’t you even worry. I may have self projected a tad bit on the reader because <3 me too <3 also I hope I interpreted this right? sorry if not! I focused a lot on how this affects sorta your relationship with them, so sorry if it’s short </3
Warning: slight angst, mentions of family tension, etc etc.
-
Considering you aren’t always on your A-game, people like to chat about and talk about you due to your well renowned family- and they don’t always say the nicest of things, unfortunately.
Miles, at all points in time, looks to defend you against peoples (very incorrect) idea that you got the short end of the stick when it comes to cleverness. In his own words, “You aren’t stupid, you’re just too intelligent to waste intellectual energy on any and all meaningless meandering.” It’s his nice way of referring to you as low-energy.
Franziska is a special sort. She will always look to challenge you and your deductions on any sort of case, looking to exploit your low energy to prove a point. While she doesn’t do it out of true malice, it can sometimes feel kinda bad too. Franziska considers herself cut from a very different cloth- she herself is unable to pick her battles, and instead feels she must pick them all. It doesn’t always work out for her in the long run.
That being said, it must be noted that Franziska doesn’t dislike you in any sort of way- quite the opposite. She has a bit of tunnel vision on how people should be in a court of law, and she worries others will exploit your low energy like she does in your meaningless little squabbling back at forth. In a way, it’s her way of challenging you to try and teach you. Unlike Miles, I don’t she quite understands that you’re picking your battles on purpose to conserve energy. She’s being supportive in the way she knows how, but it doesn’t always land. It can just feel like a mean big sister taking jabs at you sometimes, and it doesn’t even always help “improve” your critical thinking or anything- sometimes it just wounds your ego.
Miles, while worrying for you, always has faith in your ability. during the trials you were his aid in court, he willingly swats away the defenses attempts at dissecting your every word to catch you in an inconsistency so that you can focus and get to the major point. Miles always has faith due to what he calls your “gotcha” moment- the final and usually fatal blow you make to a defense’s argument that is iron clad. Miles revels in the discomfort of the defense and the court as they are completely unable to argue against your final claims, as he feels it must be something that heals your spirit after what the ignorant public say about you. He’s fine with taking the risk of you leading yourself to your main point- he’s taken much worse risks than letting you build your case as you speak. He even finds it a little fun- it’s suspenseful watching you go from the seemingly ditzy court aid to a big dog in the ring as the trial goes on.
Franziska on the other hand doesn’t quite like to risk it. She’s a very “I don’t need help, I never need help” type, so she doesn’t usually have an aid in court anyway. But in the rare cases that she takes your help, she still expects to do most of the “heavy lifting” per se. It isn’t that she doesn’t trust you, it’s that she absolutely does not trust the defense to not exploit you into accidentally destroying the case you and her spent so long working on. Franziska doesn’t like to take risks, it stresses her out. she worries about you possibly never reaching a final major conclusion in court and accidentally making a fool of yourself.
While Miles heavily believes in your ability and treats you as an equal to him, You’re still the baby sibling in Franziska‘a heart- and her need to be overprotective of you never quite faded away. It causes family tension, most certainly, but things are always tense around here it feels like…
At the end of the day, Miles is a more understanding figure, as he has a bit of a need for understand things from the inside out before making his mind about them emotionally. Despite his cold nature, Miles understands your low energy and even has a limit of his own when it comes to energy towards certain scenarios. He understands you aren’t a candle that can be lit at both ends without major consequences, and he doesn’t see the issue with that. Despite it all, he’s aware you know what’s best for yourself- and knows that you wouldn’t allow yourself or anyone to be caught up in a situation that can be easily dismantled so long as you put your energy towards it. He will always be in your corner, and will always be ready to scold the cruel press for their awful interpretation of you.
Franziska is a more complicated sort, with a need for guaranteed consistency and absolutely no room for doubt. Franziska worries more than she’ll ever let in, she’s nearly riddled with anxiety if things aren’t in their perfect place- which is why she finds your demeanor so stress-inducing as she worries she can never properly count on it catching you or her if either of you tumble in court. It isn’t healthy, and she absolutely should believe in you more, but the anxiety eats her up inside. Even when she needs you most and you’re able to keep her case grounded in court when she can’t, the crippling anxiety she feels causes her to unfortunately be dismissive of it- which is absolutely painful. She doesn’t give your grand showings of your intellect the credit they deserve when she absolutely should, still too worried about the mistakes you may make rather than the victories. She couldn’t handle the possibility of you getting hurt to a point you give up your aspirations within the court of law due to a simple mistake in your judgement. so she looks to shield you at any point in time- despite it ultimately causing a rift and a feeling that she thinks you’re unable to handle yourself.
Ultimately speaking, Franziska needs therapy- and needs to take a page out of your book. She has this idea she needs to create and be perfection, but it isn’t humanly possible, and shouldn’t be expected of her or you. She’s due for some development, and due to give you an apology for how she’s treated you due to her own anxiety. She’s been burning the candle at both ends herself, always putting 110% she didn’t have into all she does. Franziska loves you, but her skewed view on how things should be are what cause her hurtful behaviors towards you. she doesn’t want to hurt you, she aches at the idea- she just is hard on you as others were on her because she doesn’t want you hurting like she did growing up. Be patient, she’ll soon come to realize you don’t need to be “fixed” and that you’re doing what’s best for you. expect a lot of tears when she does.
Miles isn’t perfect either by any means, but in terms of conserving energy he can relate to your antics. He’s always been the lower energy type, mainly because he doesn’t like to overexert himself (it’s a fate worse than death in his opinion, he HATES being unable to compete a task due to lack of energy). Chances are you likely inherited it from him unknowingly, simply following the mannerisms of your big brother. Miles often tells you to not fret on Franziska’s criticism on you, as it’s criticism she’s given him too. He’s always looking to be a supportive figure for you, as he shares that same need to protect you like Franziska- especially after all that he’s lost. He’s not looking to lose you either.
