Honestly I actually don't really mind Croma as a ship, it will never quite be my favorite due to their imbalanced nature though (and there's another ship for Maka that's more balanced) one clearly takes more than they give, and one gives more than they take, it's not going to be as flexible as the other ship without first writing down an extensive fanon to fix this particular problem. However I can still enjoy the ship within particular contexts and settings. But like I said, because they're a ship that isn't that flexible, these particular contexts and settings aren't going to be numerous as to sustain my brainrot long I think (same case I had with my other OTP from other fandom, which also suffers some kind of inflexibility but to a lesser extent, and this ended up leading to fans seemingly having a hard time coming up with fic ideas or even simple headcanons in the long run. Eventually leading to most content being merely shallow textpost memes alluding to how 'wholesome' their relationship supposedly is but not how 'deep' it actually is)

There's also how I have to unfortunately run across the more toxic side of that fandom that ended up also souring my overall opinions about that ship (and Crona in general, which is actually a character I used to quite like) which also doesn't just affect my overall negative perception of the ship but also the entire SE fandom overall, which made it even worse. I had to stay away from the SE twitter fandom due to the sheer negativity that the young fans of this ship had shown over there.

Even the battle facility leaders can’t resist Rika’s charm (and strength)!

This little interaction in Pokemas made my brain rewind a dozen times, I didn’t expect Ingo to get too excited to wait for his turn! He is even more silly than I thought! Rika could ask these both to get the moon from the sky and they would probably try out of competitiveness!

I’ve been looking forward to the subway bosses interacting with other characters, especially the battle chatelaines and of course the hisuians so this was awesome to see!!

biwan-nim's designs for the han brothers are so cute... i like that their eyes are.. not quite monolids but the eyelid crease is small & only visible on the edges... kinda like choi soobin & kang taehyun's eyes?🥺 it's a specific character design detail and soo cute...🥹🥹

and i like that both of their eyes are like this!! definitely brothers... 🥹

their designs seem generic at first glance (esp yoojin, almost every protag in the action fantasy webtoon genre is a guy with straight black hair like him lmao) but it's details like this that make them(and biwan's designs) stand out to me...

In my imagination of red and leaf being twins and both autistic I think the only reason leaf doesn't have the same totally blank 😐 face as red is because she did the age old classic of practicing facial expressions in the mirror every day until she learned the basic ones. She also made her default expression a smile 🙂 to seem more approachable.

Unfortunately since the expressions don't come naturally to her and she had to learn them, the can come off as exaggerated/overly dramatic. Which is fine for some people but others find it equally as off-putting as reds poker face. It makes her a little sad when people dislike her because of it bc shes doing her best to fit in but can't seem to get it right.

She puts a lot of effort into masking at least when she's a kid-teenager but once she's older and has made more solid friendships she can let herself relax and not need to stress about it so much, although in social situations she may still slip back into old habits.

Red does not mask and never really has. I choose 2 believe his mom was really supportive and accommodating so he wasn't forced to hide his autistic traits unlike leaf. This is because in my au they are twins but their parents split and leaf had to stay with their dad. Who is not as understanding as their mom.

Idk if he'd be actually horrible to her but he was not as patient or understanding as their mom + leaf also just craved more friends and wanted to be able to socialize more so she eventually learned how. Red is content with the 4 people he knows (mom, oak, daisy, green) and prefered to mostly be alone so he didn't have that motivating factor to do it.

He was very content with having one friend, green, but he was def lonley during their "rival" phase when green stopped hanging out with him and was focused on trying to prove himself in some way only he understood or worried about. Along with that is green also being the master of masking for the most part. I don't see oak as being particularly accommodating and patient with him so while Daisy probably was, she's also not a parent so she couldn't be responsible for caring for green the way oak should've been.

As they got older green also craved to be seen as cool and popular amongst his peers so he started masking heavily and also distanced himself from red. Unfortunately he realizes that being accepted for a fake version of himself by mainly strangers is actually very lonley and he misses their friendship 😢 but atp he probably figures red wouldn't wanna be friends again bc of how green ignored him for so long so I think they don't become close again until After the gym challenge "rivalry"/red dissapearing/reuniting years later. So they were both missing each other a lot but both felt unable to reach out bc of the distance that grew between them when green pulled away. Anyways tldr green pro masker leaf trying very hard to mask but struggling a bit and red rawdogging his autism never masked a day in his life.

Modern au

Manon’s grandmother doesn’t see Manon’s daughter much, if at all. It was a decision both Manon and Dorian have agreed on; Dorian knows how vile the woman is, and while Manon is not cutting the woman off completely, she won’t let her daughter be subjected to that woman.

The Blackbeak matron doesn’t care either way. She knows of the child’s existence, and she already knows that she’s a lost cause, not worthy of her time and energy.

But you know which (great) grandmother gets unlimited time with the child? Glennis.

The woman is so kind and motherly and so very caring. She wants to spend time with the child, and despite the hiccups with Manon (she’s trying okay, but she can’t magically unlearn everything and be normal. But Manon knows that Glennis is a safe person which is why she has no issues dropping off her child at her great grandmother’s house)

Glennis loves it. She knows that while Manon struggles a lot with her feelings, the fact that she’s trusting her with her child for hours is telling the old woman all she needs to know. Manon just can’t express herself properly and that fine, her actions are enough.

So really, whenever Dorian and Manon plan something just for the two of them, baby is dropped off at Glennis’ house to spend a whole day bonding with her grandmother. Also, whenever Bronwen knows the baby is there, she visits Glennis and spend time with the baby.

So really, it’s just baby bonding with the Crochan side of the family with no issues because they’re safe and Manon actually trust them. As for the Blackbeak side, she only trusts her Thirteen and that’s about it.
