part 3 || masterlist
It was snowy. Too snowy for your liking, and definitely way too snowy for a Wednesday morning. Too damn early for a snowstorm to happen. Walking through the snow was a bit of a struggle, and you could barely keep your balance without tumbling altogether. But it was worth it, you say to yourself, if you got the chance to talk with Jenna again, enduring the freezing cold was a small price to pay for the chance to hear her voice.
Your hands were tucked so deep in your pockets that they might as well have become a part of your body. Layers of scarves covered your face, and your headphones doubled as earmuffs, topped with a beanie. You were dressed in a thousand sweaters and puffy jackets, and somehow, you're still so cold.
Music was, of course, blasting in your ears. But this time, instead of the usual songs with a mellow tune, it was gradually becoming happier, and you even threw in some Christmas tunes into the mix. Yes, it was cold, but it wasn't every day (even though it actually was) that you could inhale fresh air from your neighborhood without the scent of dog poop all around.
Turning around, you followed the route to Jenna's street, a path that could put the Wizard of Oz to shame. Dare you say, it was your happy place on earth, which, in all honesty, it was.
Stopping at that familiar sidewalk, you looked to your side and easily spotted possibly the most gorgeous being to ever walk this God-forsaken planet.
Jenna.
She was sitting on the bench, fully covered in snow from yesterday's storm. Even objects couldn't withstand the snowfall. With her knees curled up to her chest, she listened to music with closed eyes, and just like you, bundled up from head to toe with layers of puffy clothing. She almost looked like a penguin.
You attempted to run to her, almost falling because of the piled-up snow. Once you reached her spot, you had to take deep breaths and exhales.
Jenna looked up at you, having possibly already heard your footsteps coming closer to her, and her eyes seemingly lit up.
"Hi."
"Hey."
You both greeted each other. You lifted your scarf down to reveal a huge grin on your face, complementing Jenna's own.
"I was waiting for you." Jenna lowered her music, hearing your voice was more of a symphony than any other artist she listened to.
"You shouldn't have. It's freezing here!" You exclaimed, and you could even see your breath, and Jenna's, becoming a cold mist.
"Says the girl who walked in piles of snow to get here. Oh, what would your efforts be without me sitting on this bench?"
"Yeah… yeah, you're right." You stuttered, your lips becoming cold, and your nose turning red.
"Let's go inside before you get sent off to the North Pole to do Santa's bidding."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Both of you were seated on Jenna's couch, surrounded by the warmth of the fireplace she had lit just for the two of you to be cozy. The scent of the applewood coming from the fireplace, combined with the overall aroma of Jenna's house—perhaps from the various candles you assumed her parents brought—created the perfect atmosphere. You swear to yourself that you were living in wonderland at this point.
In the quietness of her home, you could feel and hear your heartbeat. The crackle of the fireplace and the distant chirping of birds in the background made you forget that you were a human being. That is, until Jenna spoke.
"What's your favorite scary movie?" She turned to you, grinning, her voice husky. Her hair was tied in a messy bun, and she still wore her beanie, with headphones comfortably resting on her neck.
You looked at her, blinking. "Out of all the questions, you ask me something super cliche?"
"Hey, it gets the conversation going." Her face contorted, mocking an offended expression before letting a smile creep out of her lips.
You glanced off for a moment, then nodded your head with a slight smile. "Guess it does." You adjusted yourself on the sofa, thinking of a favorite horror movie you'd rewatch anytime if any genre suddenly disappeared.
"I'll pick… I'll pick Scream." You turned to her, giving her a series of affirmative nods. In truth, you weren't a big fan of the horror genre, but you caught yourself watching it from time to time.
"Ooh, classic." Jenna's face lit up, clicking her tongue. "You got that because of the opening question I used?"
"Actually, yeah, kind of. It's just one movie off the top of my head, and hey, it is a classic. Who couldn't?"
"Points to you on that one," she said, starting to get up. She fetched the remote and a few DVDs from a drawer near the TV, which sat atop the fireplace.
"What about you? Your favorite scary movie," you questioned, your gaze following her every move.
"I'd say... 'Possession' by Andrzej Żuławski, 1981. You've got to appreciate the production quality on that one." She turned to you, showing you the DVD for that exact movie, then shuffled it.
"Blood, guts, gore?"
"Surprisingly only minimal blood, guts, and gore. It's this psychological horror movie that's so hauntingly beautiful, it's almost scary. I love a good film that gives you some kind of adrenaline rush." A radiant glow emanated from her as she talked about her favorite movie and described it.
Your gaze was fixated on her, as if she should be the last thing you'll see before meeting your demise.
"So are we gonna watch Scream or are we gonna watch Scream?" She then showed you the two DVDs, both copies of the first Scream movie. One autographed by Wes Craven himself, and one clean fresh off the drawer.
"You've given me a lot of choices there," you snarked, raising a brow as you reached for the autographed DVD in Jenna's hands. "Wes Craven?" you exclaimed. "The Wes Craven!?"
She chuckled at your reaction, a grin forming on her lips. "The one and only," she said, tucking her hands behind her back. "I have some connections, thanks to my mother, who was friends with many directors, including someone who worked with Wes Craven on the Scream set. So, I asked if he had any DVDs signed by Wes Craven and gave it to me."
"We've got to watch this," you declared, flipping the DVD in your hands before handing it back to Jenna.
Jenna scoffed, "Is the ending going to change just because it's autographed by Wes Craven?" She walked toward the DVD player, plugging it in.
"Hey, you might never know." You hear the nostalgic sound of the disk being inserted, and you were somehow once again transported to when you first watched your first movie via DVD.
"I'm surprised you still use DVD players," you commented, watching Jenna move away from the TV and then sit back down with you.
"It's just that feeling of inserting the CD that makes the movie more worthwhile."
You shrugged it off, "Guess you're right," and the Scream logo appeared before your eyes, the sounds of someone shrieking in the background to give it all that horror effect. You had seen this movie countless of times, maybe even more whenever you were bored out of your mind and needed something to scare you once in a while. But somehow, watching it with Jenna, feels like a whole new life.
Minutes passed, and the opening scene finished. A masterpiece in itself you would say, it really never gets old.
Jenna chuckled at some parts, making you turn your head slightly. She'd probably make a good Ghostface.
"Do you think I'd make a great actor someday, y/n?" The question came abruptly, and you looked at her. She was still facing the movie, the reflection of the TV screen in her eyes. Even from afar, you could see the glint in her eyes, you can see the glint in her eyes on how much she awes horror movies, and even movies in general. Maybe that's why she popped the question.
"Yeah…? I don't know. I really haven't seen you act before."
"Hey, I can fake cry pretty good." She adjusted herself, her body now facing towards yours.
"Really? Then... I’ll give you… 5 bucks to fake cry right now!" You pulled out your sad excuse of a wallet, nothing but coins and a dollar was inside of it.
Jenna laughed, a voice you horribly feel head over heels for. "You’re paying me to fake cry? For 5 bucks? Come on, dude," she remarked, pushing your money away.
You scoffed then rolled your eyes, insisting that she should take the money regardless by handing it to her despite her hand being in the way. "You’re going to be in the acting industry, Jenna! People are gonna pay you for your acting skills! Take it as like... training.”
"Okay, okay…" She held up both hands then took a deep breath, opening her eyes, focused. Atleast, she tried to.
She let out a chuckle, a wheeze some would say. "I can’t fake cry when you look at me like that!" She debated, her hands speaking for herself as she gestured towards you.
"Like what?"
The whole room went silent for about a second, Jenna observing your features up and down. Or, atleast, that's what you think in your head of yours.
"Like… some sort of freak."
"I look like a freak?" You pointed towards yourself, a playful tone in your voice as a sly grin appear on your lips, your eyes widening in curiosity.
Jenna's mouth hung open, "That was so far from my intentions!" Her voice high-pitched, trying to convince you in some sort of way.
“Okay, we both know that was definitely your intentions, if not harsher."
"I did not!"
"Oh Jenna, Jenna, Jenna... denying it makes you look guilty."
You both continued to playfully twist eachothers words, coming up with clever comebacks with eachother and just full on playful banter as the TV played Scream. Not really the most ideal movie to play with when you're about to explode since you were playfully bickering like an old married couple to your long-time crush.
After minutes of laughter, you both finally calmed down, shifting your positions on the sofa to sit on the floor, backs against the sofa.
You looked over to Jenna, a smile gracing your lips. "You're going to become a great actor, Jenna. I just know it." Glancing down, you noticed her hand close to yours. You wanted to take hold of it, you really did, whisper sweet nothings, and tell her she'd be the rising star in everyone's hearts. If not, then your heart will be preserved for all of eternity to let her be the star of yours. If it sounded corny, but, that was just how you felt.
"How? Are you some all-seeing Goddess?" She looked towards you, her eyebrows knitting but she kept smile.
"If that what it takes for you to believe in me, then yeah, I guess I am."
"You’re a dork, y/n. Has anyone ever told you that?"
"Someone by the name of Jenna."
She chuckled at that, seemingly aware of the effect she had on you, even though you'd only met a couple of days ago.
The fireplace was starting to die down, along with the setting sun. Streetlights flickered on, and snow began to form outside.
"Y/n… Where are you going to spend Christmas?" Jenna asked, her voice filled with concern. "I'm surprised your parents aren't wondering why you're always going out early and coming back so late." She looked at you, noticing your head was down, and your smile was a bit crooked.
"My parents… my parents aren't exactly here. So that's a plus, right? They won't be able to lecture me and all." You laughed, albeit slightly, a broken laugh.
Jenna's eyes widened, her body turning towards you. "Oh. Oh, God, I'm sorry, y/n. I shouldn't have—"
You furrowed your eyebrows until you understood what she misunderstood. "Oh, no— No! They aren't dead. They're just busy with work and all. They're from all the way across the globe, so…" You reached for your pocket, grabbing your phone, which had been uncharacteristically turned off for the whole day.
A picture of your family flashed on the screen, capturing a moment of shared smiles. You didn't know it would be the last picture you'd take together.
"They won't come visit?"
"They don't really text me that often, let alone when they're coming back." A smile tried to tug at your lips, Jennas concern slightly making you feel better about yourself.
"But hey, it'll be a Christmas miracle if they do." You chuckled, a light-hearted joke to lift the mood.
Silence overcame the room, wondering if you had said something wrong or overshared too much. Your hands became clammy as Jenna stayed silent, contemplating whether you should excuse yourself and never come back to her house ever again and change routes. Or maybe even change towns and your full government name.
"Why don't you spend Christmas with my family for a bit?" Jenna asked, her voice filled with hope.
Turning to her, you tilted your head with a scrunched-up face. "Really? Are… Are you sure it's okay? We just met like… a couple of days ago."
She looked down, avoiding your eyes, taking your hand with hers and rubbing her thumb against the back of your hand. "You're one of the few people I let into my heart, y/n. And my family will literally bombard you with love like you've never felt before. I'm sure they'll like you."
You smiled at that, and before you knew it, you accepted her offer. It was nighttime when you stepped outside Jenna's house, the snow becoming heavier and taller than ever.
You fell into a routine of meeting Jenna every morning. You'd wake up earlier than usual, then walk through piles of snow to get to her house. How she hadn't suspected that you had a massive crush on her was beyond you.
You even spent Christmas with her and her family, who welcomed you with open arms. Smiles all around, and you even got her little cousins to like you as if you were their big sister. You never felt at home more than anything. It was as if they were your own family, a family that was always home for you. You kind of teared up a bit at the thought, seeing how someone else's family brought out the happiest version of you rather than your own.
You were happy.

Miss Ortega | j.o
Part 1 part 2
part 3
As I reached the third equation, I heard the sound of heels approaching. I shivered and tried not to look at the person responsible, intending to stay focused. When I placed the tip of the pen on the paper, I felt a presence behind me. It seemed that Professor Ortega had made her way around the desks, curiously observing her students' work.
At this moment, she was standing behind me.
A hand rested on my chair, and the other spread its fingers on the side of the desk. An intoxicating perfume invaded my nostrils, and a shiver ran down my spine due to Jenna's sudden proximity. A cascade of black hair fell to the side of her head, brushing against my shoulder. From the corner of my eye, I saw the professor attentively looking at the paper, analyzing each equation with her gaze.
She had a relatively perfect profile. A button nose, full lips that extended when she smiled, and coffee-colored eyes that pierced through anything or anyone they focused on. I noticed a dimple on her right cheek when she smiled. My cheeks turned red when I saw that the professor had slightly turned in my direction, catching me in the midst of my contemplation. She smirked mockingly, making my cheeks turn even redder.
I looked back at the desk, focusing on her hand. It was... small, and I almost had the urge to reach out and confirm my observation. Her nails were painted an intense black color, and her fingers, wrist, were adorned with rings and bracelets. I swallowed, feeling my throat strangely dry.
Our fingers were close. If... I moved a few centimeters, I could check if her skin was soft.
I mentally scolded myself.
"Here... take a closer look," her voice suddenly husky, brought my attention back from my thoughts. Jenna was whispering, so as not to disturb the other students. Her index finger moved towards the result of my second equation. With confusion, I reread what I had written and widened my eyes when I spotted an error.
Damn, this is ridiculous.
With flushed cheeks, this time from embarrassment, I drew a line over the incorrect result and wrote the correct one above it. In a quick motion, her hand landed on mine, giving it a slight approving squeeze. Jenna moved away and made her way to her desk, sitting on it.
The contact of her hand still burned on my skin.
After 10 minutes, I stood up from the chair, drawing the attention of some curious students. I walked towards Jenna with a smile on my lips. I was very proud of my exam. Professor Ortega mirrored my gesture and reached out her hand towards my sheet, grabbing it.
Once again, our fingers brushed against each other.
"Are you sure? Do you still have... an hour?" she exclaimed in surprise after checking her watch. I nodded, and she smiled softly, her eyes gleaming with pride.
I released my grip on the paper and returned to my seat.
"T/N?" I lifted my head upon hearing my name. Jenna looked at me with a smile.
"Come here, I wouldn't want the others to be distracted," her hand tapped lightly on the wooden surface, indicating that I should come and sit beside her.
I looked at Enid guiltily, my heart pounding in my throat as I walked straight into the lion's den.
With a shy demeanor, I approached Professor Ortega, who looked at me with a half-smile. I sat next to her figure, perching on the lectern.
My feet scraped the floor, swinging my legs back and forth. I tried not to let a smile escape when I saw Jenna's feet only reaching halfway down the lectern. Despite the heels, she was at least 10 centimeters away from the ground.
Nervously, my hands intertwined, resting on my lap. Jenna watched her students like a vulture, giving a disappointed look when she saw two girls whispering to each other, probably asking for answers. I absentmindedly bit my lower lip while watching Enid write on her paper.
I hope she wrote something.
Jenna cleared her throat, tilting her head in my direction. My hairs stood on end as I felt her breath against my cheek.
"What color do you like?" she asked, and I was perplexed by her question. I could feel her gaze on the side of my head. "Really?" Inevitably, the corners of my lips lifted, forming a shy smile. My gaze was focused on the class.
"Blue," I replied, avoiding eye contact between us. Jenna smiled faintly. "Yours is black, right?" I asked, glancing at her from the corner of my eye.
She nodded slowly, looking confused.
I looked at her hand beside my hips. With a tilt of my head, I indicated for her to look down, and she smiled when she saw my range of action.
Her black nails.
She raised her hand, making her bracelets jingle. With her arm in the air, she held her hand steady, spreading her fingers. "Do you like them?" she simply asked.
Instinctively, I took her wrist, taking a quick glance at her hand. "Yes... they are really beautiful," I smiled.
"Do you like mine? They're skin-colored," she joked. She didn't have nail polish on, and she chuckled shyly at my joke.
We fell silent, enjoying each other's presence. The atmosphere was pleasant and not at all uncomfortable. I must admit that I liked Jenna; I enjoyed chatting with her. I think it was mutual because she attempted a conversation to establish a kind of friendship between student and teacher.
"Nice ring," the dark-haired girl suddenly remarked. Jenna took my hand to get a closer look at the ring my grandmother had given me. Her eyes marveled at the beauty of the white metal.
With a laugh, I took it off, placing the precious ring in her hands. "Try it on," I smiled. I knew it would be too big for her hand, but trying wouldn't hurt. As I predicted, it was too large for her fingers, but she still managed to make it fit on her thumb.
The sound of a chair being pulled back made her look towards the middle of the classroom. The teacher clenched her jaw in annoyance, closing her eyes at the squeak. Deborah walked towards our direction, handing out the exams.
She gave Jenna a stern look. Jenna smiled at her, placing the test on top of mine.
"And tell me..." I redirected my attention to the dark-haired girl. Her eyes were attentively focused on my face. "Why this passion for Calculus?" She raised the corner of her upper lip. "It's not a true passion... I simply understand numbers," I shrugged indifferently, answering her question.
"Well... in a few months, there will be a competition. You should participate," she confessed, and I fell silent, pondering her words. Jenna stepped down from the lectern, capturing the attention of those who were still taking the exam.
"Guys... you have..." she emphasized the letter 'e', "...10 minutes." Panic-filled groans resonated in the room at the news. Jenna stood in front of me, observing my legs swinging from side to side. She lightly tapped my leg with her hand, indicating that I should stop. I obeyed her request and stopped in mid-swing.
The vibration in my pants pocket made me jump in surprise. I grabbed my phone and saw a message from Erick.
Erick was one of my best friends and openly gay. I smiled when I saw the message, and this caught Jenna's attention.
"Who is it?" she asked, leaning her head towards my phone with curiosity. "Oh, just a friend," I smiled, puzzled by the sudden question. Jenna nodded with a smile.
The sound of the bell prompted a series of movements, and one by one, students handed in their exams, many of them furrowing their brows at how it had gone. Within seconds, the room was empty.
Enid jumped with her backpack on her shoulder and approached us, handing me my backpack. I gave her a grateful smile, and she winked at me.
"Shall we go? We have history now," she said, walking towards the doorway.
"Miss T/N, can you stay for a moment?" Jenna exclaimed, arranging the papers. I nodded and gestured to Enid with my hand to go ahead without me. I would have caught up with her in a few moments. Enid gave me a mischievous smile and left the room, leaving me alone with Professor Ortega.
"Do you need something, Professor Ortega?" I asked, nervously biting my lower lip. Jenna genuinely smiled as she put the tests into her backpack.
"Oh, call me Jenna. We're only a few years apart," she laughed at the thought. I nervously tightened the strap of my backpack.
Anyway, yes, I do need something," she cleared her throat. "As I told you before, there will be a competition in a few months, and I would really like you to participate. You have talent," she looked at me with a half-smile. "I'll be your tutor, of course, and I can help you with the exam," she tilted her head to the side. "You just need to stay a couple of afternoons a week. Do you accept my proposal?" she asked with a hint of hope.
I blinked in confusion, surprised by her proposal.
"Umm... can I think about it and give you an answer by the end of today?" I suggested, feeling a strange pressure on my shoulders. I didn't want to make hasty decisions; I wanted to avoid getting her hopes up for something I hadn't thought through yet.
She gave me a big smile. "Then I'll see you later, T/N," she winked playfully and with a giggle, she left the classroom, leaving me completely alone.
The sound of heels fading away.
My cheeks turned red, and I started fidgeting with my fingers. My thumb didn't feel the familiar sensation of the metal ring around my finger, and with agitation, I looked at the missing ring on my left ring finger.
Jenna still had my ring, damn it.
A notification on my phone snapped me out of my trance. I turned on the screen and saw that it was from Enid.
Enid: Having fun with the sexy teacher, are you?
I rolled my eyes at her stupid comment and quickly walked to my next lesson. History awaited me, along with an Enid who wanted to hear gossip. But the back of my mind kept replaying the conversation with Jenna, making me think about the upcoming meeting this evening.
You need to stay calm, you can do this, T/N.
(...)
At one o'clock, it was time for lunch. Most of the students chatted among themselves, eating in the meantime. With my lower lip caught between my teeth, I waited for the line to move. I was really hungry, and when I was hungry, I could be quite grumpy. Enid looked curiously at the fries a guy was receiving. My knuckles clenched tightly on the still empty tray.
"Do they have fries? Since when?" Enid was very excited. I shook my head, letting her know that I didn't know the answer.
All I cared about was getting some food in my stomach.
"I'll have... this," I said when it was finally my turn. A mush they called pasta sat in a corner of the kitchen. It looked awful, but I was still starving. The cook rolled her eyes in boredom and put the mush on my tray. The sound and smell made me tremble slightly, and with my head lowered, I glared at the woman with anger.
"Do you need anything else?" she asked, placing a bottle of water on my tray. I shook my head, suppressing the urge to tell her that we didn't deserve to eat that garbage.
With a frustrated sigh, Enid and I made our way to the table where Erick was sitting.
The blushing boy genuinely smiled at us as he held hands with his boyfriend. I have to admit, Diego is a good guy, and they look so cute together.
With a thud, we sat down at the table.
I was sitting across from the lovebirds.
"I heard there's a new Calculus teacher. What's he like?" Erick put a french fry in his mouth. "We have him tomorrow, but I'd like to know your opinion," he swallowed loudly and immediately took another fry from the tray, dipping it in mayo.
"Well, actually, it's a female teacher," Enid genuinely smiled. "She made us take a test, but despite that, she seems pretty chill," she shrugged indifferently. "She's really young, and, well, really sexy," she raised her eyebrows mischievously, and I rolled my eyes at the comment.
"Is it true that she kicked Edward out of class?" Diego asked, placing a hand on his boyfriend's tray and receiving a small slap on his fingers. The brunette rubbed the affected area, looking at Erick with a furrowed brow.
"Yep, that idiot called her 'doll'," I smiled. "I'm glad she kicked him out. Sometimes that guy can be really stupid," I said, playing with the pasta.
Reluctantly, I took a bite, struggling to swallow the unpleasant taste.
"Finally, someone put him in his place," Erick smiled, happy with the news. "T/N, do you want some fries?" he asked me later. I guess my friend noticed that my food was terrible. I shook my head, amused by Diego's incredulous reaction.
"By the way... you have an admirer," Enid whispered, smiling mischievously. Her eyes were fixed on a point behind my back.
I turned around and saw Jenna grabbing an apple and a bottle of water from the kitchen. In fact, her eyes were aimed at me, making brief eye contact with me. Her gaze then turned to the cook, smiling at her and saying something I couldn't hear for obvious reasons.
She gave me a quick glance, and with a shy smile, Professor Ortega left the dining hall.
Enid let out an ecstatic scream. Many students turned towards us, looking at us with confusion. With flushed cheeks, I looked back at the blonde.
"You were not mistaken at all, Enid," Erick genuinely smiled, resting his head on Diego's shoulder.
"By the way, what did the sexy girl want?" Enid rested her head on her hand, looking at me intently.
"Her name is Jenna, or you can call her Professor Ortega," I said irritably, giving a reproachful look to the petite blonde.
Enid rolled her eyes in boredom, gesturing for me to continue talking.
"Anyway..." I said, swallowing nervously as three pairs of eyes stared at me without blinking. "There's going to be some kind of Calculus contest in a few months, and she wanted me to sign up," Enid sighed, suddenly bored.
"Then?" Diego prompted, curious to hear what I had to say. "She offered to be my tutor and help me a couple of afternoons a week."
Enid's eyes widened, and she took my hand, squeezing it tightly. A silly smile was plastered on her lips. I think something has gotten into her mischievous head.
"That changes everything! It's a date!" Enid smiled, and I looked at her as if she had two heads.
"A study date," I emphasized, puzzled by her words, breaking the contact between our hands. What's gotten into her? After all, Jenna is my teacher.
I stood up from my seat, suddenly losing my appetite. Enid looked at me with a slight smile on her lips.
"I'm going to the coffee machines. I feel like having a cappuccino," I pointed lazily towards the exit, grabbing the water bottle.
Enid squinted her eyes, trying to figure out my true intentions. Erick smiled at me, waving his hand in greeting.
I began walking towards the exit with quick steps.
"Good luck, lion!" Enid shouted, and with flushed cheeks, I increased my walking speed, avoiding the inappropriate comment.
My real intention was to talk to Jenna. In the hours since her class, I had reflected a lot on her proposal, and it didn't seem like a bad idea after all.
I wanted to accept the proposal and retrieve the ring.
Come to think of it, I was in the mood for a cappuccino.
All I hoped for was to find Jenna Ortega.
I took a few hesitant steps before hearing a familiar voice in the distance. Timidly, I walked toward the sound of the voice, and a laugh made me furrow my brow in confusion. I turned the corner, and a strange sensation hit the pit of my stomach when I saw who it was.
Jenna was engaged in animated conversation with Professor Asher Spenser. The sandy-haired professor was flexing his muscles with the clear intention of impressing the Greek goddess in front of him. In return, Jenna seemed to enjoy his antics but was not primarily interested in the young professor's muscles. Asher invited Jenna to touch his biceps with a look, but the brunette politely declined, laughing in embarrassment.
It seemed like the perfect moment to intervene and make my presence felt.
I cleared my throat, drawing the attention of the two young people, and Asher subtly adjusted his shirt, avoiding my gaze. I observed his behavior and approached the couple. Jenna gave me a charming smile, looking at me almost with relief.
I saved her from Asher.
"T/N! So glad to see you! Do you need something?" Jenna looked at me with a smile, putting her hands in the back pockets of her jeans.
I approached Asher, who watched me with confusion and a hint of anger, as I had interrupted the moment with the new Calculus professor. I averted my gaze from him and focused my eyes on Jenna's figure, her brown eyes curiously fixed on me.
My cheeks turned a dark shade of red, and I opened and closed my lips several times, trying to talk to Jenna without stuttering. Asher smirked.
"Well, it's been a pleasure. You can go now," the Gym teacher said with a half-laugh. I clenched my jaw, and... He made a mocking smile, toying with the whistle around his neck. I closed my hand into a fist, trying not to lose my patience.
Jenna looked at Asher disapprovingly, wiping that stupid smile off his face.
"Um... actually, I'd like to talk to the professor alone," I emphasized the last part, trying to make Asher understand that he should leave. I knew Jenna told me to call her by her name, but I wasn't sure if it also applied in public.
Jenna raised an eyebrow and looked expectantly at Asher.
The Gym teacher sighed and muttered something to himself, walking away down the hallway, leaving me alone with Jenna.
"Coffee? Cappuccino? My treat," she said, and I smiled, shaking my head.
"A cappuccino, but I'll pay for it myself." She opened her mouth in feigned surprise. Jenna pursed her lips and looked at me with amused eyes.
"I'll pay. How much sugar?" she asked, looking at me seriously. I sighed resignedly at the clear defeat.
"Three," I said, and Jenna inputted the number.
The coffee machine started making its typical grinding noise.
As I shifted my weight from one leg to another, I looked at the coffee machine, aware of Jenna's piercing gaze. A few seconds later, the machine beeped, indicating that the cappuccino was ready. Jenna leaned over and took the cup with the hot liquid, handing it to me. I gave her a grateful smile and timidly sipped the cappuccino, closing my eyes at its warm and comforting taste.
Jenna clicked on the button for a long black coffee.
"I actually wanted to talk to you about two things..." I blew on the cup and finished the cappuccino in one sip. Jenna laughed, and after a few seconds, she took a sip of her desired coffee. With an uncomfortable smile, I threw the cup in the trash.
"I'm totally yours ," she joked.
Her statement made me blush and, at the same time, feel a strange sensation in my lower abdomen. The expression on my face made Jenna laugh.
"Sorry about that. Go ahead," she said, taking a sip of her coffee while keeping her eyes fixed on mine.
"The first thing is... could... let's say... I get my ring back?" I smiled nervously, scratching the back of my neck in embarrassment.
Jenna widened her eyes and threw the cup into the receptacle once she finished. The misunderstanding made Professor Ortega blush.
"Shit, I'm sorry." She took the ring off her finger and handed it to me. "It was so comfortable that I didn't realize it wasn't one of mine." Her cheeks turned even redder, and I couldn't help but think how adorable she was.
I put the ring on my ring finger, feeling the cold metal against my skin once again.
"Mind if we talk while we walk? I have to go to the third floor. I have a class in 10 minutes." She looked almost guilty as she made the request, and I nodded in agreement.
We started walking side by side towards the stairs.
"What else did you have to tell me?" Jenna glanced at me from the corner of her eye as she continued to walk.
We climbed several steps.
"I've considered your proposal, Jenna," I said her name, and she smiled, satisfied. I have to admit it felt strange calling a professor by their first name. I shrugged indifferently and continued speaking.
Meanwhile, Jenna stopped in the middle of the stairs, looking at me expectantly.
"I accept... I don't think it's a bad idea to spend a couple of afternoons together each week," I confessed, and a 32-tooth smile spread across her lips.
Almost instinctively, I grabbed the railing as a body collided with mine, wrapping their hands around my neck.
My eyes widened, and I tensed up at the sudden contact, but I began to relax when I realized it was Jenna. Once again, her perfume filled my nostrils, and I closed my eyes at the pleasant sensation of her body warmth against mine. My hand ran timidly along her back, returning the embrace. Jenna made the hug last for only a few seconds, and I almost complained about the sudden lack.
Professor Ortega had flushed cheeks, and for the first time, I noticed a series of freckles surrounding her nose.
She straightened her clothes, embarrassed and avoiding my gaze.
"Sorry... for the excitement," she justified with a nervous laugh.
"Don't worry," I smiled, and she let out a sigh of relief.
"Well... I should go to class now," she pointed in the direction of the classroom as she took a step back, never taking her eyes off mine.
I started descending the stairs, but someone calling my name made me stop. I looked up and saw Jenna. The professor had her head tilted towards me, her unruly hair partially covering her face.
"See you later? I'll finish the lesson, and then we can discuss the details. Does that sound good?" Her voice sounded an octave higher due to the strange angle of her neck.
"Sure, theoretically I'm done for the day. I'll wait for you in the teachers' lounge," I smiled, and she returned the smile, composed herself, and walked toward her destination.
Once again, the sound of heels faded

Aleu's unawareness about being part wolf issue
Earlier I mentioned about the main problems of Balto-2 and its contradictions to the original Balto here, I still have something to say. Let's talk about Aleu's problem. The thing is that she has no prerequisites for drama and conflict, because they were resolved in the original film. Hence in the sequel there's no reason for Balto to be ashamed of his wolf side ('cause he accepted his wolf side and realized who he truly is), and there's no reason for townfolks to discriminate Balto's pups for wolf traits, because Balto saved kids of Nome and became hero, so people finally realized his nobility. Aleu would have been adopted first as a pup, who is almost the copy of a wolfdog hero.
I have no idea, why the sequel's crew literally devalued, erased and ignored these pivotal moments and arcs of the original film. But if to go in the direction of the sequel, where Balto literally despises wolf side, considering it as his curse, and portays dogs as superior and is afraid of a wolf-like pup being born and being rejected by humans due to wolf traits... I have some questions. First of all, if Jenna and especially Balto worried about wolf-like pup, why to make puppies in the first place? I mean, they have to know, that there was a possibility of all their litter being wolf-like, not dog-like. They can't love each other as a couple without offspring or what? Second, why Jenna's owners allowed to their dog to mate with a stray wolfdog, if the sequel chose to state that people don't trust to wolfdogs? And third, why Jenna's owners didn't adopt Balto and especially Aleu themselves, if they were okay with Balto being Jenna's mate and a father of her pups?
I mean, Rosie (Jenna's young owner) is still the little girl, who likes Balto, so she would be happy to adopt Aleu no matter what. But the sequel just ignores her existence, so Rosie is totally absent here.
But my the biggest issue there is Balto's attempts to hide from Aleu the wolf heritage, so only after the year he is forced to reveal this to her only after she encountered a hunter. My question is clear — how Aleu was able to not know about being part wolf so long? She knows that wolves are wild animals, and even if she never saw wolf, she has to be aware of the fact that wolves howl — why she never noticed that she always howls? Even though huskies howl too, the implication is that they kinda howl differently (in the movie, at least).
From another side, it is weird that the hunter thought she is a wolf. I mean, he is from different village/town, so he is unaware about wolfdogs from Nome? Moreover, Aleu has blue eyes, which can have only huskies, and her fur color (she isn't grey, she's more sandy-red) and markings on nose and legs also show that she is a husky. The hunter would never think that she is a wolf. He would think that Balto is a wolf, because he looks like a normal grey wolf with wolf markings on face and legs. Returning to my question — how could Aleu be unaware about being part wolf so long? The movie shows that all these months she lived with Balto in his ship, as if he kept her as far away from Nome as possible, basically in isolation. At the same time Balto himself here barely mentions that some dogs still tease him for being half-wolf. So, how Aleu couldn't know about being part wolf, if every dog or human, kid or adult, could briefly say about Balto's wolf nature during puppy adoption scene?
And why there are still dogs, who bully him, if in the original film they finally accepted him? Why Balto doesn't kick their butts for bullying toward him or his daughter by this logic? It really gives impression that he hid Aleu from dogs and humans, raising her on his ship in isolation basically only for not letting her to know that she is a wolfdog. From another side, there's another logical hole and plot hole — Balto allows to Aleu to walk and play in the forest. WHY?!
Might I remind you, how far away the woods and the mountains are from Nome. Let's see the original film: only path to the mountains, which surround Nome, is 3+ miles long, and also dozens of miles to the forest.
The forest is far far away from mountains as well:
And look at the sequel:
So, why Balto allowed to her to walk and to play in the forest FAR FAR AWAY FROM NOME, if there's a big chance to encounter not only a hunter or dangerous wild animals, but also wolves?! P.S. Especially funny to see, how Balto, the fastest dog of Nome, doesn't try to stop Aleu from running into the wild.

Just realized I haven't posted many of these here yet so...here we go.
ver since December I've been working on and off on a huge Balto II: Wolf Quest PMV since it's one of my favorite movies. Unfortunately it's a huge project (total should be about 3 minutes long, I've completed about 40 seconds) and with me having very little free time and a million other things to do, progress is slow. But I do try to get at least a few frames done each week. Here's some of my current favorites.
ID below the cut.
[ID: Several digitally drawn images based on the movie Balto II: Wolf Quest. The first depicts a young tan wolfdog (Aleu) as a puppy howling on a wooden pole. She is located at a beach, and surrounding the pole are her five siblings, who all resemble red huskies. Four of them are watching her and one is leaning up against the pole, looking at her as well with a smile. The second drawing depicts a red husky wearing an orange bandana (Jenna) crying while a gray wolfdog (Balto) comforts her. The background is the wooden wall of a house. The third drawing depicts Aleu as a puppy fast asleep in a wooden crate. The fourth shows a now young-adult Aleu talking to a snow goose (Boris) with two young polar bears (Muk and Luk) in the background watching. They are in a lush green forest and Aleu and Boris have annoyed expressions. Muk and Luk look curious. The fifth image shows Aleu and Balto in the same green forest, this time in a more shaded place. Aleu is in the front looking out over a few bushes with a curious expression, while Balto is sitting further in the backing concerned. The next drawing depicts the wreckage of a wooden boat washed up on shore at nighttime. It's right in front of a deep blue sea and the last rays of sunset can just be seen on the left side. The next image shows Aleu's silhouette running across a barren horizon, with a dark purple cloudy sky as the background. The eighth image shows Balto talking to Aleu in a room on the wooden boat. Aleu is looking upset and has her tail curled above her back. This scene is also set at nighttime. The final drawing depicts Aleu looking worriedly up at the sky while she's standing on some rocks in front of a huge downpouring waterfall with mist surrounding her. End ID.]

Centerfold 5- Waiting For You
Centerfold Masterlist
Author’s Note: Written for Meghan who requested some fluffy A/B/O smut and then I came up with an idea and ran with it. Smut will start after the plot is established. Also, this is gonna go toward my @spnabobingo squares. This chapter fills my Motor Oil/Cut Grass/Gunpowder square and is rated T for Teen.
Summary: Dean heads to Vegas with Sam to crash the AVN Awards in the hopes of meeting up with Taffy Rose.
Pairing: Alpha!Dean x Reader
Word count: 2069
Story Warnings: A/B/O dynamics, pornography, mentions of multiple partners, Sam being a bit of a creeper asshole
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dean was sure it was a bad idea. There were a thousand ways it could go bad, taking his soulless little brother on a trip to Vegas. But Lisa was pretty much done with him, hadn't answered the phone since he was a vampire, Sam's loss of soul was stressing him out, and he needed a break. The fact that the AVN Awards were going to be taking place the next day was a coincidence...mostly.
"So, you're taking your soulless brother to Vegas to chase down some porn star?" Sam asked, amused. "I can think of a dozen reasons why this would be a bad idea."
Dean sighed. "Yeah. Well, we're going because Vegas is tradition, soul or no soul, and Taffy isn't just 'some porn star'. Jenna Jameson is 'some porn star'. Lisa Ann is 'some porn star'. Taffy Rose is the woman of my dreams and the future mother of my children, okay? She just doesn't know it yet. When I find her and remind her who I am, she's gonna be mine."
"Yeah. 'Cause all the porn stars wanna settle down and have a bunch of pups with some hunter they knew for a week of high school in 1996."
"'95, Sammy, and she's gonna remember me. No way I'm the only one who remembers that." Dean sighed heavily and shook his head. "I mean, I was her first! No way she forgot about me."
Sam just shrugged and pulled out his phone to distract himself. Porn awards could be fun. He could find some willing woman to sink into. It'd been a few days since he got laid, he was itching for some relief. Some tiny thing with giant fake tits would be perfect. And if there was an entire category of omega actors, maybe he could find a nice omega to fuck.
Dean got two rooms when they got the motel. He was confident he wouldn't want anything to do with whatever Sam picked up at the AVN Awards and he didn't want Sam interrupting when he managed to get Taffy, Y/n, back to his room.
Dean had trouble choosing what to wear. Plaid seemed too hunter, too redneck, too Kansas to approach a Cali-based porn star at an awards show. His FBI suits and his old Homeland Security suit both seemed to strangle him with formality. The Pink Floyd concert tee was too casual. All of his tees were. It took a while but eventually he settled on his best jeans, the ones that made his ass look awesome, and his light grey Henley. Nothing that said he was trying too hard, but also not something that made him look like a lumberjack sans the beard.
Sam was already in the Impala by the time Dean left his room. Sam was in a dark red v-neck shirt and jeans and had obviously not agonized over his wardrobe. "Took you long enough, Dean. What, were you rubbing one out so you'd last longer than five seconds when you meet up with her?"
"No!" Dean exclaimed, but he couldn't help but think that was a missed opportunity. "Shut up. Let's go."
They talked their way in, it was second nature to lie to get into places they weren’t supposed to be, and the guard really had no problem believing that the two imposing alphas were bodyguards for some of the actors.
“All right. Let’s split up. If you find Taffy, call me...then, ya know...have at it,” Dean said, gesturing to the right side of the theater before taking off to the left.
Sam rolled his eyes and walked away into the theater. There were hundreds of attractive actors mulling around and they were all wearing various revealing, shiny outfits...all of whom Sam would be willing to nail. He stopped a particularly busty redhead and smiled. “Have you seen Taffy Rose? I’m supposed to deliver a message.”
The redhead looked him up and down like she wanted to eat him and licked her lips. “Taffy’s on the mezzanine with the other omegas. They won’t let an alpha through the door. I could go get her for you,” she offered, her voice seductive.
“That would be great, actually.” Sam let his eyes run down her body. “But don’t stray too far.”
She bit her lip as she walked away on six inch high heels. She was hot as fuck, her dress tight and riding up as she walked. Sam could definitely see her wrapped around his cock. She would be fun to play with. She would be more than satisfying. She would be-
Sam’s jaw dropped a little as a small woman in a light pink crossover dress with a pink plaid skirt walked out. She had nude colored Mary Jane shoes on, natural tits...and looked so completely out of place surrounded by half-dressed, silicone-filled women that it was like a beacon of light shined on her. Sam wanted her. Dean would forgive him for having a little fun before he delivered her to him, right? And if not, Sam didn’t care.
“Hi, Sunny said you had a message for me?” she said, approaching him. Sam loved the size difference between them. Even in heels, he eclipsed her.
“Taffy, right?” Sam asked, stepping closer. He’d seen the pictures, he knew exactly who she was, but he wanted to talk to her longer, get a bit more time to scent her. She was something floral and pretty.
“Yes? Can I help you?”
Sam stepped closer again and she cleared her throat. “You don’t remember me. You shouldn’t. I was, what, twelve when we met.”
“We’ve met?” she squeaked. She swallowed and took a step back. Sam could smell arousal leaking into her scent and he smirked. She was so easy. Dripping slick already. This is what an omega gets for staying unmated so long.
“Yeah. Back in Olympia. Seems like a million years ago, Y/n.” Sam stepped closer again and Y/n gasped as she backed away and her back hit the wall behind her. “Neither of us were presented back then. I didn’t realize how good you smell.”
“S-sorry, I...who are you?”
“Always knew you were pretty, though.”
She took a deep breath and put her hand on his chest, lightly pushing him away. “I don’t recognize you and you’re making me uncomfortable so if you don’t back up and say what you came to say, I’m gonna have to-”
“Sam, you soulless bastard, get away from her!” Sam rolled his eyes at his brother’s voice and stepped back as Dean ran up. “I told you to call me if you found her, dammit!”
Sam shrugged. “She’s hot. Had to try it.”
“Go...away,” Dean growled and Y/n shivered. He watched his brother’s large frame disappear into the crowd before he turned to the omega, his omega. “Taffy, sorry about him. He’s...got some issues right now. Mental...issues. Um...I…” His words faltered as he looked into her eyes. She was right there in front of him. “Y/n,” he whispered and she gasped.
She took a deep breath and stepped close. “Dean?”
“You remember,” he whispered, taking his own deep breath of her floral scent. There was a tinge of arousal to it and he almost whimpered.
“Of course I remember. I’ve been waiting to smell that special blend of motor oil and fresh cut grass and…” She leaned up and groaned as she sniffed at his neck. “...burning gunpowder. I’ve been waiting for you for half my life.”
“That’s what I smell like to you?” Dean asked, smiling. “And you know what burning gunpowder smells like?”
She licked her lips and let out a small giggle. “I got shot...in one of my films. They shot a blank at me, I recognized the smell immediately...so I started to hang out at the range every once in a while.”
He smiled proudly. His omega liked guns. Awesome. “I saw you in last August’s Playboy. I never thought I’d see you again and...there you were in the centerfold, lookin’ so much hotter than you did in high school. But somehow just the same. You looked, you look amazing. So beautiful and...somehow innocent.”
“I’m very good at that. It’s my signature look.”
“I don’t know how you pull it off, buck naked, but you do.”
“So...um...I…” She looked away, trying to clear her mind. “So...You saw my Playboy and had to come find me?”
Dean licked his lips and stepped closer. He wanted to touch her, grab her waist and pull her against his body, but he didn’t. Not until she was ready. “I saw your Playboy and I went home and watched every clip of every video I could find with your name. ‘Taffy Rose’, huh?”
“Well, I really like pink. Taffy, rose, they’re shades of pink.”
“I remember. I see you still favor pink clothes,” he said, gesturing at her dress. “It’s a cute dress.”
“It’d look better on your floor?” she guessed, looking up into his eyes. His cheeks burned at her words. “I’m sure it would. Your freckles still pop when you blush.”
Dean laughed. “Yeah, some things never change.”
“So, your omega didn’t mind you coming to Vegas to see me?” she asked, biting her bottom lip.
“No omega. No wife, no girlfriend. You?”
She giggled, setting her hand on his shoulder. “No wife or girlfriend for me either.”
“Seriously, Taffy.” His voice went soft. “You got somebody waitin’ at home for you?”
“Yeah.” She smiled as his stomach dropped, and ran her hand up his shoulder to the back of his neck. “I have a husky dog named Wolf. Real original, I know, but she was a rescue...already named.” She pulled his head down and bumped her nose against his. “No husband, no boyfriend...no alpha.” He gasped as she kissed the corner of his mouth. “I’ve been waiting for you, Dean.”
His head went a little dizzy at her words. “Y/n.”
“Have you been waiting for me?” she whispered into his ear.
“Betas only, baby. Never had a ‘mega. Only ever wanted you,” he answered.
She smiled bright as she pulled back and looked into his eyes again. “I’ve only ever really wanted you, too. I think about you all the time, Dean. Never thought…” She looked soft and innocent as she sighed. “I’m so happy you found me.”
“Me, too.”
“I might be getting an award, so I...I can’t leave yet, but...after the show’s over...why don’t you come back to my hotel with me?” He was just about to say ‘God yes’ when she finished with, “I can show you all the things I’ve learned over the past fifteen years.” His jaw dropped, words frozen in his throat. All he could do was nod. “Good. I’ve been dreaming of this since high school. Put my number in your phone. You won’t be allowed on the mezzanine with me, so I’ll have to find you after.”
Dean pulled out his phone and entered her number as she rattled it off, immediately sending her a text so that she had his number, too. She shined as she looked down at her phone screen to see the text ‘Hey mega <3’. “God, you’re cute.” She giggled and wrapped her arm around his neck again, pulling him down for a quick kiss.
What should have been a quick kiss, anyway, because he couldn’t let her go once he had her on his lips. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her against him. She tasted just like he remembered. Her hands buried in his hair as he pushed her against the wall and licked at her tongue. She moaned as his hands moved down her back to grasp at her ass. He was panting when he pulled back. “Sorry. I...suddenly, I’m sixteen with no control of myself again.”
She giggled that laugh that he loved with all of his heart and patted his cheek. “Well, I just can’t wait to see you really lose control, Dean,” she said before spinning away from him and the wall, her skirt twirling as she headed back toward the mezzanine.
Dean sighed and watched her until she disappeared from his sight. She was so much better than he remembered. She was perfect. She was his.
“You’re alright!” ( Jenna @ Danielle, maybe after being away for so long?)
Our muses thought the other had died during a battle or a disaster
“Uh- ha- yerp?”
After all... why shouldn’t she be?
Okay, so maybe that was underplaying it just a little bit; things had happened, after all, so she had no reason to be puzzled if Jenna was concerned for her. Dani had honestly wondered, in the midst of everything, what had happened to the red-furred adult, too; but she had found it hard to be too concerned. After all, the husky was probably tough, and used to bad weather and stuff; and, like Dad, could probably take care of herself.
Still, even Danielle had to admit, it was a relief to see the beautiful (sorry, what?) lady was also unharmed. The youngster bounded around her feet, little tail twitching back and forth as she did so.
“I mean, I was fine! Dad an’ Mom looked after us all pretty well! Didn’t know what had happened to you though, heh.”
She stopped bouncing in place, pausing to look up at Miss Jenna.
“But I figured you’d be okay! You’re bigger an’ stronger than any of us, anyway.”
#amaranthinemuses#ask#ic#meme response#wildest in white [Danielle]#I'm kinda... imagining that whatever *happened* here was kinda like#a bad storm or something?#But I also left it vague in case you wanted to take it a different route instead ^^
The sun was setting once more at the City of Nome, it was a calm summer afternoon as usual, however at the beach, it was possible to see two figure worked with adrenaline running across the shore. One of them, struggling to keep up.
-Hey! You said this race wasn't for real. – The brown border collie shouted from behind.
-Jasper, dear. It's always a real race.- The slim red husky slowed down a little so the brown dog was able to reach her.
-If you had warned me, I would have prepared myself, and maybe I would win this time, Kaya.- A ironic smile crossed his face.
Arching an eyebrow, the red husky looked at the big fluffy ball dog gasping for air.
-We both know it was never gonna happen.- She winked at the border collie, accelerating, letting him once more behind.
-Aaand that's why I love this girl!- He commented to himyself.
So everyone this is my new Balto OC, Jasper. He's a Dork border collie that loves make anyone around him laugh with bad jokes or story that he probably did something stupid. Isn't him adorable?
Besides him, it's his mate, Kaya (I have this name to her, because calling her the red faced pup wear me out), The very competitive Balto and Jenna daughter.
These two have very divergent personalities (Jasper being joyful and sweet, and Kaya being tough and too much serious), but they sure love each other.
You realize Jonsa is taking over your life when you get reminded of them while watching a cartoon about dogs!
These days I'm showing my son the cartoon movies I liked when I was a kid. One of those was Balto. It was released in 1995 and is loosely based on a true story about a sledge dog of the same name who helped save lives by taking medicine through extreme snow storms to Nome, Alaska.
In the cartoon, Balto is treated as an outcast by the other dogs in Nome because he is part wolf, his mother was a wolf who abandoned him and a male goose took care of him. The story is about him finally accepting his wolf instincts, which helps him find his way through the storm.
Obviously no cartoon is complete without a female character, so there is a very pretty Red husky, Jenna, who Balto falls for at the beginning of the movie.
So What reminded me of Jonsa?
This!
On their way to find the lost sledge team, Balto and his three companions get attacked by a bear. Jenna arrives and helps take the bear down but she gets hurt. Balto decides to go ahead alone and sends the rest of them back to town. At this point she gives him her Red Bandana, which she says will keep him warm.
THAT is when the Jonsa feels hit me and I realized it is turning into an obsession.
@howlfound
The whiteness of the blizzard nearly blinded Jenna as she trudged forward in the snow. The cold bit at her paws, chilled through her fur, with only her bandana for cover. Amber eyes squinted to focus forward and to protect her vision. She could hardly see, smell, or feel anything else except for cold, but the red husky had to continue. Rosy died before the anti-toxin could reach Nome, Jenna and Rosy’s parents being beyond distraught. If allowed, Jenna could have stayed with her for all time. However, other kids were still alive and despite what everyone else had said, Jenna knew in her heart Balto was alive. He had to be. And even if he wasn’t...the medicine had to still be in place right? Jenna would take the medicine herself if it really came to the worst case scenario.
Not wanting to entertain these thoughts any longer, Jenna stopped at the feeling of a stone. She lowered her head to sniff, then looked up before her, a mouth of a cave. Relief nearly washed over her as she entered, shaking her fur and nearly collapsed in the middle of it. It was dark, dingy, and she caught the whiff something simultaneously strange and familiar. But she was tired, so the red husky curled into a ball, shivering, whispering one name before she closed her eyes.
“Balto...”
so, i ranted about spideychelle in the tags of one of @spideychelleforever‘s posts and @aqhrodites called me out by posting my tags here and i’m a sucker and will write anything probably. this is inspired by tom’s instas here, here, and here and a conversation with @spideychelleforever. also tagging @spideychelle-romanogers bc she loves me. part two now here.
pretending to drown is immature and wrong (ao3 link)
It’s the summer after sophomore year and Michelle has a problem. And this problem presents itself quite often because Michelle’s designated (and paid, which she’s quite happy about) job for the summer is to babysit her little sister Leia. And Leia loves going to the pool. Which, okay, Michelle’s all for her sister going to the pool and playing Marco Polo and doing dives with her friends. It’s just that Peter Parker happens to work at the pool as the lifeguard. And he’s there nearly every day she goes with Leia. And he’s also almost always shirtless. Hence, Michelle’s problem.
Look, it’s not as if Michelle didn’t know Peter Parker was attractive before the summer. She spent most of sophomore year staring at him from a distance. She watched as he fawned over Liz and as he started to flake more and more and saw the sudden change after Liz left when he started showing up as a teammate and classmate. (What? They did projects together. She had a vested interest in his dedication to school.)
If you watch a boy all year, eventually you’re going to notice when he has some attractive features. Like when he showers and heads straight to school so his curls are all damp and twisting all over his head. Or when he runs around the gym during PE class and his shorts are tight on his ass. Or when Ned makes a joke at lunch or during practice and Peter’s whole face lights up and his features scrunch together as the pure joy takes over all his features.
So, Michelle knows Peter Parker is attractive and then she has to see him every day at the pool where he’s shirtless and chatting with everyone and impressing parents, kids, and teenagers alike. Because for some reason he’s so…confident as a lifeguard. He slides into the persona effortlessly and everyone loves Peter Parker. Especially Leia.
When Peter first met Leia, he’d come over because he recognized Michelle. He’d asked her how her summer had been and she tried to respond as apathetically as possible. But then he’d turned his attention to Leia and asked for her name and proceeded to flip out when she told him what it was.
“You realize you’re named after my hero, right?” He’d asked, all smiles and bubbly excitement. When Leia looked at him confused, because her parents did not name her after a Star Wars character, Peter just gasped. “You’ve never seen Star Wars?” He looked at Michelle, scandalized. “You’ve never shown her Star Wars?” Michelle wasn’t sure if she should tell him she’s never seen it herself. “Oh my goodness,” he’d chuckled, turning back to Leia. “Well, Leia is the strongest, most selfless person. She’s my hero. So that must mean you’re a hero in your own right.” His warm smile made Michelle’s heart flutter, but then she turned to her sister, who was blushing ferociously and oh goodness. Her sister probably has a crush on Peter now.
Which, she does. So that means that Michelle has to go to the pool almost every other day so Leia can talk to her new boyfriend. At least that’s what their mother had teased. (But, better Leia being teased than Michelle. If her mother found out about Michelle’s small crush on Peter, that would be the end. She’d never hear the end of it.)
So that’s how Michelle ends up at the public pool on a Saturday afternoon, lounging on a pool chair with a book because her sister, try as she might, will not get her to get into the pool. And she’s focusing on the book and not looking at Peter when kids throw water at him and soak his hair. And she’s not imagining a world in which she pretends to drown so he’ll give her mouth to mouth because that’s wrong and she’s a mature adult. She knows better. Instead, she focuses on her book. But then Peter walks over to her and plops down on the chair next to her. “Hey, MJ! Whatcha reading?”
She turns to look at the boy squinting at her with a smile. “Their Eyes Were Watching God.” She says, succinct so hopefully he won’t stay so close to her. But she should know better by now.
“Oh, that’s cool. May’s a big fan. Should I read it?” And why does he have to keep talking to her and making her heart flutter when he’s literally doing the bare minimum?
“Yeah. Zora Neale Hurston is a literary genius.” She scoffs. “You’d be so lucky.” But then a kid calls him over to the edge of the pool and Leia comes back, pulling on Michelle’s arm and telling her she has to do a dive off the pool because someone bet her that Michelle wouldn’t and she really doesn’t want to lose the only ten dollars she has to her name.
So Peter smiles at her and salutes, before wishing her good luck on her dive and jogging over to the three kids jumping up and down in the pool. And maybe it’s the fact that Peter nearly dared her to do the dive by wishing her good luck. (Realistically, she knows this isn’t the case. But her heart still flares when she thinks about his husky, “good luck.”)
Michelle walks over to the dive board, slightly terrified because athletic grace has never been her forte. But she’s seen plenty of kids half her age and younger do effortless dives from the highest board, so really, how hard can it be?
Very hard. Abort mission. This is very terrifying and Michelle regrets every decision she’s made in her life that has somehow led to her standing on the highest diving board, staring down into the pool. It looks so much higher from this angle and there are lots of kids in the pool and there’s this small area where she’s supposed to jump but she honestly doesn’t think she’ll make it. She’s a lot taller than the kids who usually do this jump, what if she hits her head on the bottom of the pool because her body is too long? There are so many things that could go wrong up here she should really just…take the ladder down the stairs.
But then Peter is yelling at her from the bottom and laughing and telling her to jump because it’ll be fun. And some of the kids pull him into the pool and he laughs loudly and pushes himself out of the pool again. And, oh dear. She gets distracted looking at his arms when he pushes himself out of the pool and looking at his hair as he tries shakes off all the water that’s dripping all over his entire body.
And she just…slips. She’s perhaps angling to get a better look but then her foot catches on the edge and it’s slippery because of all the damn kids that have rushed up here, soaking from their last dive. And she’s falling to the pool and she shrieks and then she hits the water and she feels disoriented and a little bit in a daze and she’s still extremely terrified even though she realistically knows she’s okay. She hears her little sister scream and then hears someone dive into the water next to her before arms wrap around her and pull her back up to the surface.
And her back is cold and her neck is stiff and she’s lying on hard concrete and her heart is racing. And then she feels someone pushing down on her chest a few times and it’s kind of hard and ouch. She registers that it’s Peter. Because he’s the lifeguard on duty and who was closest. Which is how she knows that when she feels lips on hers, they are Peter Parker’s and he’s blowing air into her mouth and oh goodness Peter Parker’s lips are on hers.
She might freak out a bit. Because this was literally a dream she’d had two weeks ago and now it’s reality. But he’s pumping his hands down on her chest and she’s starting to feel less out of it. She’s about to push him away and tell him everything is fine. But then he puts his lips on hers again and her eyes shoot open and she’s frozen for a second and then she’s gasping and he’s pulling back like he’s just been shocked.
She sputters a bit and pushes herself up so she’s leaning on her elbows. She takes a look around and sees everyone has formed a circle around her and Peter. Then Leia is rushing over and hugging Michelle, apologizing for asking her to jump off the highest diving board. The crowd disperses and Peter helps her up. Leia’s still got her body wrapped around MJ when Peter speaks, rubbing the back of his neck all the while. “Jesus, MJ, if I’d known you were going to nearly drown I never would have told you to jump.”
MJ laughs a bit. She’s still a bit shaken up and doesn’t totally feel normal. “Yeah, well, no one is more disappointed than me.” Another chuckle. “Wasn’t exactly how I pictured our first kiss going.”
And, oh god. Peter looks confused for a hot second before a slow smile takes over his face. He looks entirely too smug for his own good. “Oh, so you’ve pictured our first kiss before?”
MJ hopes her cheeks aren’t as red as they feel. “Did I say our first kiss? I meant my first kiss.”
And then Leia. Godforsaken Leia who’s already done enough to terrorize MJ for the day. She pipes up, slightly curious and a little maniacal. “But I thought your first kiss was with Jenna?” Michelle looks down at her sister, betrayed.
But then Peter, oh so suddenly arrogant Peter, speaks. “Don’t worry, MJ. I’m sure our second will be much better.”
She raises her fist in the air and growls, but he just laughs and saunters off. And she hates him. But she also doesn’t. “He likes you, ya know?” Michelle looks down at her sister, still reeling from her traitorous input in the conversation. “He told me last week about it. Asked me how he should ask you out.” She laughs at MJ’s stunned face. “I told him he should tell you that you look pretty. Didn’t think he was going to save your life.”
“Come on, you little twerp.” MJ grabs her sister’s hand and guides her to their chairs so they can grab their stuff. “We’re going home now.” Leia pouts but follows all the same. She knows she’s on thin ice right now.
But when MJ puts the car in park at their house and checks her phone, she can’t be too mad at Leia.
Parker: soooo, you maybe want to see a movie before that second kiss??
MJ: you’d be so lucky
Photography || Josh Dun x Reader Chapter.1
Chapter.1|| Rain
Word count: 2700
Warnings: Maybe cursing? I dunno depends on my mood , fainting.
//This first chapter doesn't have Josh in here but a lot of Ty x Jenna , So live with it sorry ,probably next chapter Jish will be in it. \\
//And I guess I tried to recreate how Jenna and Tyler met , but I don't know much about it . So please don't be rude , or harsh . I'm a little insecure about it ... Thanks for reading..
what am I doing with my life --
Sitting quietly I stared out the window of the music store , I hum lightly before looking back over at the collection of Cd's and records . Humming along to the song that been blasting to the speakers , it seemed familiar , patting my leg to the beat quietly I looked over the all the Cd's, I stopped as I stared down at the CD with a series of circles on it , I stared at it."Blurryface?" I whisper aloud. I jumped at the sound of the bell on the door, I turn to a flash of red seemed to blind me, looking down , I wanted to see the features of this beautiful man , but there was nothing , I stared face to face with a blur.
I jump awake , leaning up quickly I gasp for air .Panting harshly I glance around my room , eyes landing on my window, a light shade of blue shined through giving my room a winter's morning aesthetic. I sigh , taking deep breaths in through my nose and out through my mouth, glancing around my room I quickly made sure no human , or inhuman thing was in sight . continuing my rigid deep breaths , I look over at my phone before picking it up I stared at the time , Groaning I leaned up in bed lazily scrolling through twitter . It was 3:30 am for Christ sake , what is up with these nightmares .
Why did this happen to me ? I couldn't talk about my nightmares to anyone ,I used to tell my best friend Codi . But he left me for dead once he got a new girlfriend . ( Seeing as I wouldn't let him into my pants.) He thought I was crazy , insane. He wasn't even the only one , my dad thought I was delusional , my mom thought I was just 'sick' from the anxiety pills I was taking.
Nobody knew that I wasn't crazy , delusional , or sick , These were actual dreams and I couldn't get rid of them . There was no way out , I was trapped inside my own mind , and I was slowly killing myself .I jumped from my thinking position as I looked down at my phone 5:30 am , Time for work .
Leaning up in my bed I got up , running a hand through my hair , biting down on my lip , I strolled over to the bathroom . Sliding into my ( DM's ) my work uniform before turning to the mirror with a sigh . Pulling my hair back I put it up , staring at my face in the reflection , I stood emotionless , before muttering a sigh as I began to put on a light layer of make up . Once I was done , i looked back in the mirror , still emotionless , before putting a fake smile on my face. Good enough . After all , There is no distraction to mask what is real.
I huff another sigh before leaving the bathroom , heading out of my small room , picking up my husky puppy , Harley letting her lick my face . Letting out a slight giggle i set her back on the floor , feeding her breakfast shortly after , glancing over at my kitchen I simply shook my head.I'll just eat something at the Cafe ,any silverware I had had been dirty , along with every other dish I had . Patting Harley on the head I turned toward the door I grabbed my keys , Locking the door and heading out to my car.
I sat quietly ( NOT IN SILENCE READER-CHAN NOO!)in my car , looking over at my radio . (WHICH NOBODY STOLE.) I turn it on , letting a random channel begin to play , switching to a different channel this one was full of static , Music barely being heard below it.' I've been thinking too much , Help me..' I furrow my brow slightly as I tried to listen closer , but the song went up in static." Weird... I usually get this channel.." I change the channel once again , ' music ' had begun to play , Obnoxious music , This wasn't really music...
' My anaconda don't want none unless you've got buns , Hun!' Quickly turning off my radio I continued to cringe . Once I arrived at my work , I groaned as it began pouring down rain . Looking around my car for my hoodie , biting down on my lip I found it nowhere in sight.Huffing , I turned my body toward the door of my car , getting ready to spring out. Planning out a plan in my head , my work had been a block away from here, cause god knows parking in this city. ( If you've ever been to Portland Oregon you know the struggle.) Quickly jumping out of , My car I quickly locking it and took off running down the street , realistically speaking : I'm pretty fast , but not fast enough to not get soaking wet.
I walked into the entrance of my work , shivering I looked up to be greeted by red cheeks , blonde hair and blue eyes , This was my best friend Jenna Black . She was stunning , it was unfair , call me selfish but I'm just telling the truth. She doesn't know about my nightmares either.. I don't want to lose her either,
( Quick comment : This was before Jenna and Tyler met , and I'm pretty sure Jenna never worked in a cafe , but since I'm pretty new to the Fandom oh well , Come on guys, It's FAN FICTION )
" Y/n, Your soaked!" She exclaimed speeding over to me , pressing a small towel to my face to clean up the slightly smeared make up and water." I think I noticed." I joked and looked up at her , I could feel my hair sticking to my scalp , and adding a slight waviness .
Pushing into the back I tore off my soaking wet over shirt , luckily my undershirt only being damp , pulling my work shirt over my head , along with my apron , I tied it behind my back before I redid my hair . Looking at myself in the reflection of my phone , most of my makeup had already came off , and what was still on my face had been smeared and messed up. Groaning i turned on my heel I cruised into the bathroom to wash off the rest of my make up .
Once I was 'pleased' with my appearance I headed out off the back and up behind the counter, Where Jenna had been cleaning the counters . Glancing back at me before she doubled back .
"Well that's different." She stared at my face for a second before turning back to the counters." Do I look okay ?" I asked being slightly insecure about my bare face ." You look beautiful Y/n" she smiled and walked up to me , hugging me tightly ." Don't you have any extra make up in your purse?" I practically beg her ."I'm sorry Y/n , I left it at home . I wouldn't lend it to you anyway , you look beautiful !" She smiled and tucked a loose hair behind my ear.
"Sure I do " I rolled my eyes before turning on my heel , heading over to the door I flipped the sign from closed to open , walking behind the counter I began to start up the coffee machine and get everything started.
-Time skip sponsored by the many times I've cried over Truce -
Feeling my heart beat raise as I paced around behind the counter , finishing orders and taking orders , walked back over to the register to receive another order.Stopping abruptly in front of the counter I looked up at my new customer , panting lightly i smiled."H-hey what can I get you today?"
He looked over at me and gave off a slight grin . He had short brown hair , brown eyes , his skin was slightly tan , not dark but not to light , as a black hoodie hung over his shoulders. ( REMEMBER THIS IS A JISH FANFIC NOT A TYJO FIC)He opened his lips to say something ,then paused ,closing his mouth before opening it again.
" Do you need air , cause I can wait." He chuckled . I smiled and shrugged." Oh I'm fine , Lunch break is in five minutes." I paused. " Anyways what can I get you?"I asked and looked up to him with a small smile." Oh, right , Um. Do you happen to have red bull here?" He asked , quiet serious ."Oh , Uh , hold on a sec." I turned around and looked over at Jenna . "Do we have red bull here?" she stood up straight and gave off her ' are you kidding me 'face . I shrugged and motioned behind me . She walked over to the counter and raised an eyebrow at the dude.
"You wanted red bull, yeah?" The guy looked up from his phone realizing someone new was talking to him and turned red as soon as he met eyes with her." Uh yeah , j-just wondering . " He stuttered." You are aware this is a coffee shop , not a gas station or a Walmart? No we don't have red bull." Jenna stated clearly unimpressed , I pressed my hand on her shoulder to try and persuade her to calm down."Alright , s-sorry , I'll just have a black coffee , thanks . " She nodded before typing something into cash register, She gave him a forced small smile and handed him his receipt soon after he paid .
Jenna turned and smiled at me before she was off to go make his coffee,I motioned him over to me ."Sorry about her." I gave slight smile."No that's alright , Just tell her I'm sorry, I guess." he gave off a sad smile ."How about this " I paused . " You stay here for the next fifteen minutes and I'll get her to lunch with you." I smirked at him."Are you serious?" He asked slightly surprised.
" Yes! Sh." I looked over my shoulder to see Jenna heading back over to us."Here you go!" She seemed to have calmed down a little , but still gave off a somewhat unimpressed aurora."Thanks! " He smiled and looked between me and Jenna before heading over to a table."He was a nice guy." I smile , but Jenna shrugged."I guess. " She looked down at her hands .
"Jenna , just because he wanted Red Bull from a cafe doesn't mean he's a bad guy!"I explain,trying to get her to give him a small chance."Yeah , I get he's not a bad guy." She huffed, washing off the counter."Take my break then , Go have Lunch with him." I smile. and lean against the sink."What? Are you serious?" Seemingly copying Tyler's surprised attitude earlier." Yes , go!" I smirk and shooed her off, before I began cleaning down the counters with a wet rag.
-Time skip cause I'm lazy-
It was now 7:30 pm (19:30) as I tiredly walked over to the door and flipped the sign to close , Jenna and Tyler had been talking even while Jenna had gotten back to work , Tyler still actually hasn't left the shop." Alright , I'm going home ." Almost tripping over my feet , I walked into the back to grab my stuff."Wait ! I don't think you should should drive home."Jenna followed behind me , making sure I didn't fall on my face."Why's that?" I ask , yawning, grabbing my things.
"You don't look to good." She paused and placed her hand on my forehead. " Your burning up!" She squeaked , trying to pull me out of the back to get me to sit down."I'm fine Jenn-" She interrupted me."Give me your keys." She demanded."Jenna No-"I tried again but I was interrupted once again."Just give her the keys." Tyler commented from behind her , I looked over her shoulder and glared at him.
"Ugh! FINE" I groaned and handed her the keys , as Jenna shut off the lights in the cafe I stood near the door , where Tyler stood next to me and waited patiently."I don't see why I can't drive myself home-" I groaned not being able to finish the words coming out of my mouth for the hundredth time that day.
"How much sleep did you get last night Y/n?" She pushed me out the door , Tyler in tow."Um.." I carried off , not giving her an answer."Exactly, Now What did you eat for breakfast?" She asked as she locked the door to the cafe."Um, I had leftovers?" I carried off , She turned and looked at me , clearly upset.
"Oh my gosh ! Fine you got me." I groaned, crossing my arms over my chest, how ever, that didn't help the empty feeling in my stomach. My legs straining to move."Y/n you need to take care of yourself!"Jenna argued with me."Yes mom." I stuck my tongue out at her and Tyler. Tyler didn't like that much , but took side with Jenna."Y/n stop" He added.
"Yes Dad" I rolled my eyes , that didn't seem like a good Idea , as I took my first step away from the cafe I went tumbling into a brick wall, I stared up at the crying sky. My eyes aren't rolling , the world is just spinning , Then it all faded to black , the emptiness in my chest all seemed to fade and I couldn't feel anything. Emotionless.
-
I woke up back in my bed , luckily it was still night out, but I still heard chatting down stairs , probably Jenna and Tyler, Well that or I really needed to rest. Walking down the hall once I get to the stairs I look out over the railing to see Jenna showing Tyler all my photography . I had a stack of photos that I kept on my coffee table in the living room , no apparent reason why they were there , I just don't keep them in photo albums , I'd waist all my money buying photo albums.
"Wow she took these?" I heard Tyler ask Jenna in.. awe?"Yep! She's amazing isn't she?" Jenna gleamed, talking me up like I was some sort of professional.. well after graduating College , I hope I'm considered a professional.." Yeah! She's amazing.." He agreed, I mentally deadpan ,Jumping into their conversation"I mean . I wouldn't want to brag but yeah , I'm pretty awesome."I laughed from the top of the stairs , making my way down the stairs.
" Jeez Y/n!"Tyler shouted as I had clearly scared them with how I jumped into their conversation."You gave us heart attack!" Jenna followed his lead."That's a thing now ? You guys finishing each other's sentences?" I smirk and sit down on the floor , looking over the coffee table full of my photos.
"Wha-" Ty started but I interrupted him"Never mind that why are you looking at my photos?"I ask , biting my lip as I began to get self conscious over the fact that Jenna had been talking me up the way she always had. "I figured your photographing hobby could use some publicity." Jenna smiled and wiggled her eyebrows."Oh really, and how is Tyler going to help my publicity?"I ask, quirking a brow at how she was so relaxed.
"Oh Right! Tyler is in a band called twenty one pilots. " She looked looked over at Tyler than back at me."So?" I question , standing up to start collecting the photos back into piles."We just lost our photographer, and I would love if you would be our new photographer." He grinned from ear to ear."Wha-" I began ,He cut in quickly , continuing what he'd began to say.
"But that would mean you would have to travel on tour with us , and Jenna is all for it to , So you would have a companion , to help you with everything . " He swallowed nervously , I stare at him a second before looking back to Jenna , who nodded in agreement. Maybe I should , It's better for my career and I could always come back and get my job back at the cafe if It doesn't work , And Harley could probably stay with my parents , I continued to stare off into space , deep in thought before looking over at Tyler .
"Alright fine , I'll do it." Jenna and Tyler seem to jump in excitement , Jenna tackling me in a hug. "Jenna!" I squeak.
This was going to be one hell of a ride.
“I’M OKAY, Jenna.” She adored her new dog to death. The red husky was not only beautiful, but incredibly sweet. Still, Storm’s death sat heavy on her heart at times, recalling the canine she had spent SO LONG with. So much of her life. Who had helped her learn to walk better, who had gotten her through childhood. It was just difficult for a memory not to hit her at times. “I know Stormy’s in a b e t t e r place, but sometimes I just think of him when I shouldn’t. Come here, girl.”
Despite being a young teen now, Dawn was still of tender heart. As the moment of pain seemed to last, she decided to seek out her canine companion for affection. It would not replace Storm’s love, but Jenna could be just as s p e c i a l all on her own. In a new way.
Two characters, one design
Okay, let's talk about something, what almost every fan of Balto movie(s) discussed — the design of the iconic character(s). After the sequel was released, the fans started pretty aggressive debates, insisting the idea of Aniu and the White Wolf being one and the same character or two different characters. The ones, who considered them as one character, used as proofs the interview with the director of the sequel and words about low budget of the sequel. The others, who were fans of the original film and considered them as the two separated characters, used for agruments the official novel of the original movie and the fact that Aniu and the White Wolf allegedly have drastically different design. Here and here we discovered that the White Wolf from the original film is a male and a manifestation of Balto's wolf side and self-acceptance. Here we discovered that Aniu the white wolf from the sequel is the wolf goddess, as well as how the idea of her being Balto's biological mother is impossible, and why the idea of Balto's mother being a wolf is the main problem of the sequel and creates lots of plot holes, contradictions and morbid moments, so better to think that Aniu is not Balto's mother, but just a patroness, for who every wolf and wolfdog metaphorically is a child, since she is the Great Mother of all wolves, and Balto's real mother was a husky.
So, there are two different and separated characters. Aniu is the wolf deity, the white wolf is a symbolical character. However, ironically, their design is identical. Yes, I'm not crazy. After detailed studying and comparing these characters, I can confidently say that their design is absolutely identical. But why they look so distant from each other more than every other main character (Balto, Jenna, Boris)? Because the white wolf was drawn and colored in different style. You can notice that every character, except the white wolf, have black outline, while the white wolf has very thin and light-purple-greyish outline — plus, the light-purple mask on his muzzle has no outlines, i.e. the white wolf has higher quality animation and coloring, very close to Disney films of 90s era, he is drawn and colored different from any other character in the movie, i.e. he is unique visually. In contrast to this, Aniu has thick and black outline (including on her mask around eyes) — just like any other character in the sequel. Another simple answer — because in the original film wolves looked realistic and feral, while in the sequel they look very cartoonish. So let's cover every aspect. Fur color. Many fans told that Aniu isn't white, but light-grey. It's not true. She is white just like the White Wolf. People, who said this, just have no idea or ignore how the light works. Look at the place, where Balto encounters Aniu. The evening, the clouds, which make this area darker. Plus blue, red, orange, yellow and pink colors because of the sunset.
That's how it looked earlier.
Aniu sat in the shadow, in the dark, with her back to the sunlight. That's why her face and chest looked greyish, and lighter places are purple-pink.
In the river scene Aniu is white. And her grey-purple mask around eyes has no outline, just like the White Wolf's.
In the scene with wolverines she is white.
Like, compare the fur color of Balto and Nava, for example, in the day scene and evening scene. And there's the same pink lighting from the sunset.
The White Wolf from the original film looked snowy-white or creamy-white, because he was in blizzard under the sun.
Simply saying, Aniu is white too. Eye color and sclera color. People, who use that, ignore the fact that every character experienced animation errors and bloopers during the sequel. Especially eye color changing through the sequel. Not to mention that none of the eye color from the sequel was faithful to the original film. Like this: Jenna's eyes are red instead of golden, Balto's eyes are blue/red instead of brown, as well as his sclera is white instead of yellow.
In contrast to this, Aniu's eyes are yellow just like the eyes of the White Wolf.
The problem here exactly with her sclera. Her sclera is white instead of black, plus the sunset lighting made it seem pink. The same thing you can notice with Nava's sclera:
The animation error made Aniu's and other wolves' sclera to be white instead of black. And the lighting added pink shade.
Ear color and absent black tips on ears. The White Wolf and Aniu actually both share this blooper. In one scene the inner side of ear is pink, in other scene is grey.
Aniu's absent black ear tips can be explained with another blooper — in the original film Jenna had black ear tips too, while in the sequel she doesn't.
Plus, as you can see above, the White Wolf's mask around eyes has no outline. Aniu also has this mask around her eyes, just with black outline (I guess, they were afraid that in the shadow the color of the mask will be lost, so they added outline). Muzzle/head shape, eye shape. That's apparently was favourite argument from fans of the original film. However, they ignore one simple thing — the camera angle and how the character holds his/her head. Because, again, the shape of muzzle, head and eyes are identical. Compare:
Plus, you can notice here Aniu's black ear tips. And in previous screenshots you could notice that eye shape of Aniu and the White Wolf is identical, when eyes are open or closed too. And you again can see bloopers with outline etc.
Plus, the White Wolf was in snow storm, so it makes sense, why his eyes are more narrow, i.e. not fully open. Plus, don't forget about different color of outline. Fluffiness and shagginess. Oh yes, people point out how Aniu isn't fluffy in contrast to the White Wolf, but ignore the inconsistency of the White Wolf's fluffyness in different scenes. First of all, the White Wolf was in the blizzard, so the wind was ruffling him. Second, in some scenes the white wolf is very shaggy (not only fur on the neck, but also on legs), while in other he's less shaggy (again, fur in neck and legs), the same thing with Aniu (in one scene she is very shaggy, in others not).
So this inconsistency can be explained by the wind and animation being hard.
The size and proportions. Another argument from people, who have no idea, how the camera and symbolism work. The White Wolf seems way larger than Balto because of camera angle, it was made to emphasize the majesty of the White Wolf and Balto's fear and shame.
When Balto realized, who he truly is (a wolf), embraced his wolf half and howled with the White Wolf (his true self), the White Wolf still was bigger and taller than Balto, but not like in previous scenes before accepting wolf nature by Balto.
Aniu has the same proportions the White Wolf has. She is bigger and taller than Balto as well. Her height, head and muzzle shape and proportions are identical to the White Wolf's.
It needs to be blind or incredibly biased for saying that Aniu and Balto share the same size and proportions. I'd say she is taller than even Nava, who was bigger than Balto as well.
So, in conclusion. Aniu and the White Wolf are two different characters. Aniu is the wolf deity, the White Wolf is a symbol. But their design is identical.
