why does the pjo series have to unnecessarily villainize goddesses (hera & athena) or show them as silly ladies (aphrodite & demeter) BUT posiedon and apollo are somehow shown as the coolest/most likeable gods, even though arguably, they're right after zeus on terms of corruption?

ares shown as the worst god after zeus and hera amuses me. last time i checked, he was the patron god of amazons and literally killed a man for attempting to rape his daughter but guess who cursed women for rejection? apollo. guess who raped women when they said no (aside from zeus)? posiedon.

We'd both been so excited for it-- to change, to grow stronger, to pass another life-changing milestone on our adventure together. But after I evolved, it took weeks before Sora could even bring herself to look me in the eyes. It went unsaid between us, poisoning our hearts like a cold, bitter curse and haunting every intake of breath. Although, the worst of it all... was that even without words, we both knew why it hurt so much.

Ya'll know that feeling when you [Hero] try to evolve into a Leafeon to be closer in spirit to the best friend you lost [Grovyle] because you miss him so much it physically aches, but instead you end up looking like the guy you trusted/adored that betrayed/tried to kill you and your girlfriend? Cause damn it hurts.

Anyways ever since I replayed EOS and evolved at Luminous Spring I've had thoughts about what Sora's reaction would be to Echo's evolution into Umbreon. And lemme tell you that it's an emotional roller coaster. To say that Sora has complicated feelings about Dusknoir is an understatement, and Echo isn't so happy about it either since she had put her faith in him. They've got a lot of trauma to heal.

But to add to that, I like to write about my girls in my spare time when I'm not drawing cause it's fun, so maybe I'll post some little blurbs sometime if anyone is interested?? Hm. Yeah might do that eventually, we'll have to see.

At first she’ll be a little snobby about it, she’ll hold her nonexistent nose up in the air when she walks around you.

You’d most likely have to do something impressive or save her for her to actually start liking you.

Like if you genuinely save her life and nurse her back to health she will instantly become your baby.

As you nursed her back she ate all that babying stuff up so now she comes around quite often, she’ll tug at your shirt with that sweet little sparkle asking you to make her salmon rice bites.

And if you make her the food? She’ll be sitting at the table sweetly waiting, she’ll hunt and bring you back pretty trophies so you can make her some good comfort foods.

Unlike a son, a daughter is more likely to be up in your business.

She’ll wanna know everything, all the things going on all the whole she’s pressed against you resting her head on your shoulder. (Even if she’s badly hunched over)

She tries to compete for you attention with her father, she’ll make her skulls she brings pretty with flowers and leaves so you’ll make her something. Your mate just standing off to the side watching his grown eighty year old daughter be treated like she’s a pup.

Paint her nails. PLEASE PAINT HER NAILS.

She’ll want green or red. She’ll secretly ask if you can put poison into the polish so if she claws at something it’ll kill them. Though she quickly dropped that idea when her father told her she could accidentally scratch and kill you.

She’ll sheepishly tell you not to make the poisoned polish all the while she fiddled with your shirt as she if she a child.

She likes taking you out to places and people watch.

You both gossip like middle aged moms when you see someone y’all know.

She’s most likely bigger than your mate, in turn. She takes up the whole bed. Sometimes she just wants you to be near so she just shoves herself between you and your mate. Your poor mate now on the floor and grumbling about how he can’t even cuddle his own mate.

She braids your hair for you. She’s rough when she does it but she’ll do it for you. The first time you asked her she looked at you like you committed adultery, when you explained human hair can be touched with no meaning behind it she just shrugged and braided your hair.

She 100% has made you food that was WAY to spicy or undercooked. Her father lectured her for it because she could’ve killed you. she WILL get hurt by this, she didn’t wanna hurt you. She just wanted to feed you like you do her. :(

She’ll go above and beyond to make this dish perfect, she’ll even steal a human from earth to taste test it. When the human says it’s good shakily she’ll happily take the dish and run it to you. She’ll kneel down and present to you, holding her breath as you chew and hoping you like it.

She will SWELL with pride when you say you like it. Like she’d be grinning like a fool if she had lips to smile with.

This will spark something in your mate to make you something even better.

Now you have two yautja who are competing over whose food is better.

Noticing that TV and film will often have a character either have had an abortion in the past that isn't showcased on screen (and just used as part of the character's ~fucked up and twisted backstory~) OR contemplate getting an abortion in the present day but not to through with it. Just once I want to see someone delete that fetus within the events of the plot and not be like. Extremely majorly punished for it and/or be in the wrong

Let's relate everything to Solavellan, pt 5067

So, the Wheel of Time TV show - I'll admit that I never read the books. But in Season 1, there's this scene that has just stuck with me. The main character, Rand is tempted by this vision of the life he wants with the woman he loves. Where it's just her and him living in this simple cottage with their first child.

And he could have that vision. He could make it a reality. It could be real. But the thing is, the woman that he loves doesn't want that. All he wants in the whole world is to just be with her. And she absolutely loves him unquestionably, but she also wants other things for herself, things that because of the society they live in, would make their relationship difficult. And Rand is just determined to find some way to keep them together regardless.

And what I love about this scene, is things could be so simple. They could be together. They could have a life together. They could have children together. Rand could make it happen.

And instead he looks at this version of the woman before him - the woman who would accept this simple life with him - and says, "That's not the woman I love."

It SLAYS me!

Because, you know, Solas brings Lavellan to Crestwood and plans to tell her everything. But then he doesn't at the last second because he realizes the depth of his love for her - that if she asked him to leave Fen'Harel behind and just live a life with her as Solas, he would do it. He would give up that part of himself. And he realizes that would be a betrayal of who is, and he's so certain she'd ask this of him that he has to walk away.

And I think most of us have imagined the two of them dreaming of this simple life in a cottage in the woods where they can just be and raise a family. And I can't help but imagine Lavellan learning the truth of who Solas is and looking at that cottage and going;

"That's not the man I love."

Because Fen'Harel is a fucking rebel. That's where his heart is. And as much as she wishes things could be simple, it's his heart that she loves. And if his heart makes him want things that are going to make it hard for them to be together then, then what else can she possibly do but accept that and do her damnedest to be at his side.

Like, I just see Lavellan watching the Veilguard trailer, going, "THAT'S MY WOLF HUSBAND, LET'S GO BABY!!! SLAY!!! 🫶!"

Like, the cottage is a really nice vision. But that's not the man she loves.

everytime i look in the lilith tag I see so much hate and antagonism for her, like my god. we barely know much about her but some people are just desperate to hate on her while woobifying male characters and I can think of one word why.

Tuvok & Janeway both strike me as people who insist they aren't rich* but then they bring up a summer house or something in casual conversation *note: I'm aware that Star Trek humans live in a post-scarcity world with no money but still. I can't help but see the truth and the truth is that Janeway's fridge had an ice dispenser.

Random Thoughts

I keep thinking about Season 3, Episode 2: “The Stuff of Heroes” of X-Men: Evolution, where Rogue saw her face on the news and is dismayed that she “looks fat.”

And, well…

I’m not sure if the writers forgot that her overall body shape looks like this…

Or this is the particular part they are referencing that makes her “fat.”

‘She has the biggest breasts of all the girls’ is what was written, btw.

In that same episode, before she made that comment, we already see some characters searching through the Brotherhood’s things and eyeing the size Fred/The Blob’s clothing, but apparently that wasn’t enough of a joke?

Anyway, maybe they had her say that to reinforce her low self-esteem, but c’mon. I love this show, yet while the amount of times they make fat jokes is not that much, it still seems to come out of nowhere with some of them 😅

Whelp, regardless of how truly bigger she is or not than the other female characters, Scott scooping her up onto his shoulder like she weighed almost nothing is always a treat to remember and see. 🥰🥰🥰
