i think everybody should think about how much of a privilege driving is before they judge people who don’t drive for being immature or whatever. like do you not realize that not everyone had a high school with driver’s ed or parents/older relatives who could teach them, not everyone had time to learn when they were younger, not everyone can afford a car and car insurance and any repairs that a car might need, not everyone lives in a place that is drivable anyway, and not everyone has good vision or a healthy enough brain and/or body to drive. and nobody needs to explain to you why they don’t drive! all you need to know is that the can’t, don’t want to, or it doesn’t make sense for them at this current time in their lives. fuck off!!!!! the response to inadequate public transportation isn’t that everyone should drive instead!!!!!! also everybody complains about bad drivers but people are incentivized to drive regardless of their actual driving ability because it’s shameful not to drive even if it’s a personal choice. and like maybe some people are just not self aware about their own driving abilities but some people just don’t understand that they are in control of a large machine that is dangerous if they don’t operate it properly and they have to be more responsible for the people they’re putting at risk because they don’t care enough to pay attention or follow the rules of the road or keep their tempers under control while they’re behind the wheel. anyway not everyone can or should drive, that’s all

#apropos of nothing i just was thinking about how judgmental my ex and her friends were in college that i didn’t drive #and i was not as bothered by that as i should’ve been lol #because i was low key deeply embarrassed about it so i thought it was kind of fair that they were being dicks about it #it was mostly this one guy. i tried to explain my reasoning but he just didn’t get it and kept pushing that it was dumb not to drive #and like. yeah sometimes it can be limiting but for most of my day to day life it’s not a problem at all #having a car would be a bigger problem to figure out rn #anyway now i think he should just go to hell #he was kind of judgmental a lot actually and had a pretty big ego imo with no reason to be that self centered #my ex was kind of egotistical too but at least she was an extremely interesting and bright individual #it was grating that she thought she was the most interesting person in the room all the time but she actually was lol #anyway. whatever this isn’t about her it’s about ME and not driving #it’s not gonna happen until i have enough money for a car and time to learn how to drive #and probably not until i actually get assessed (+ treated if diagnosed) for adhd bc my biggest fear is being a distracted driver #if anyone has a problem with that they can suck my dick #anyway. anyway.#that’s all i guess #i fucking hate drivers rn the drivers in my city are nuts

I fucking hate being employed this shit fucking sucks I wanna go home

#just had a meeting with my boss #I thought I was doing pretty good because I’m trying my best but she laid out my sins in front of me and told me to lock the fuck in #girl I AM locked in what do you want from me #I work two days a week sorry I’m not a fucking master at this #pretty much all I’ve learned is that I’m far too anxious for this job #the incident she laid out were either human error (which is fair) something due to my anxiety or something straight up did not happen?#like I had no recollection of some of the things she noted I swear to god I am being honest #and I can’t take even the lightest criticism so this was a nightmare for me #she said ‘I’m not in trouble’ but fuck it sure feels like it!#she made me feel like a burden and a failure which y’know… isn’t ideal #honestly all I can say is that I’m trying my best #I don’t love this job but I like the people here and also the job market is in shambles so it’s this or nothing #anyways I was holding back tears but I’m fine now #we are in hell

Zack is so fun as a character bc when it comes to his relationships, whether the nature is romantic or platonic it still works. The chemistry is so fire, the feelings of love and care are sincere. Zack loves the people in his life, the people loves him back. Whether they're similar to him in personality or complete opposites — it still hits off. Zack and Aerith? The OG, first love forreal. Zack and Cloud? The loyalty, the dedication. Zack and Cissnei? Genuine appreciation and trust. Zack and Sephiroth? Treated each other like actual people. Zack and Tseng? The extra mile, the exception. You genuinely can't lose when it comes to shipping with this guy

i've always been a huge fan of kelley armstrong's novels, but she is like the ONLY author i have ever had this specific complaint about and it's that sometimes her protagonists are just TOO competent. they're not easily bamboozled. they're full grown adults who don't get into childish arguments or at least, when they do, they realize it and then work it out like grown ups. they know their limits, what they're good at and what they're not and they play to their strengths. they're practical, logical, reliable, competent people and sometimes i'm like. kelley. they need to be fucking stupider than this. it's okay, they can be dumbfucks for a book or two. i've never had this complaint with literally any other author, she is singular, she is iconic for this

#actually last book of the omens series they were pretty stupid to be fair #but i stopped reading the rockton books because the main character was just TOO practical and competent. insane complaint to have #tbh this is kind of why i think she's really good at writing YA. because her adult characters act like full grown adults #and her YA characters act like dumbfuck teens. they're just stupid enough you know?#anyway thinking about this because i started one of her new releases and the main character #was immediately intelligent and can articulate her emotions well (not over the top. just. like a grown up) and competent #and i was like ah kelley #sometimes this is an absolute BREATH OF FRESH AIR #and sometimes i'm like. they SHOULD be stupider by all rights #not sure which it's going to be yet #rosie reads

My dad was very against me getting a dog and then IMMEDIATELY fell in love with her. Like he absolutely adores her. He started off like 'uggh I don't want to end up having to take care of it' and now he REQUESTS to babysit her every couple weeks or so just for fun. He will just sit there petting her and chuckling and saying "She just makes me laugh :)" to himself. He calls himself her 'grandpa'. The bond between an aging father and the pet he didn't want is probably the deepest love on earth.

#(I don't live with my parents but we are actively in each others lives so me getting a dog would inevitably affect them)#He literally keeps talking about how it's like having a grandchild come visit LOL (he's not the 'overly humanizing pets' type but just #the 'bond with dogs feels familial' type)#She LOVES him too she gets so excited when she realizes she's going to Grandpa House #She's very shy with strangers but approaches men roughly his age and size to sniff them and I'm pretty confident that she's checking to #see if they're him. Like she won't approach any other demographic.#I think she likes him SLIGHTLY more than me lol but it's fair because my parents' dog likes me SLIGHTLY better than them so #it balances out

#random thoughts #i like it at least #the finale is SO GOOOOOOOD OH MY GOD #sir pentious going to heaven? alastor's solo? LILITH DROP???#like there are A LOT of things that could have been done better #like how vaggie as a character is very one-note and how angel's abuse is handled could DEFINITELY be better #especially considering how they handle pentious's gang rape (like tf)#but to be fair that joke was more a play on pentious's cowardice. the joke was more about how him bowing out of flirting escalated #rule of three's and all that #but god. when adam's mask cracked it DEFINITELY made me realize i thought that was just his face #'you only live because i let you' is such a petty way to phrase mercy #i DEFINITELY need to watch some analysis videos because am i missing stuff??? is it secretly bad???#yknow besides all the stuff with the creator which like. idr everything she did that was a shitshow #but like even the rape jokes are pretty mild for an adult comedy? they got rid of most of the offensive jokes pretty fast huh #most adult cartoons the first season or so is dedicated to the most offensive jokes before The Plot takes over #vaggie being an angel btw. not sure how to feel about that #i like how they handled it because it leans into the whole 'redemption' theming but like. feels very 'we need a conflict!'#which like i do appreciate because vaggie and charlie's relationship is too smooth sailing. throw some rocks in there #also 'i named you after the best thing: vaginas' is. hilarious actually. was that planned? or was that retconned in?#sir pentious as a character wasn't really. there enough in the latter half of the season for me to really feel anything about his death #like i liked him! very pathetic man. love his character design. but i think they should have alternated episodes #instead of just making the first few all about him #also his death was too sudden for me to feel particularly bad about. was convinced it was a fake out death #LOVE the ship callback tho. love me some chekhov's gun #btw i knew. literally nothing about hazbin hotel going into this. was watching the pilot like 'wait is this a musical'#bitsy. thingy. whatever her name is. fucking love her.
