mittens !!!! pattern X - i modified a bit because my yarn was a bit more thick, so i shortned a few rows of the colorwork & added the burnt orange details instead :)

#remember when i posted almost a month ago about a friend that commissioned some mittens #?#so yeah the one i was making initially turned out fine i suppose #i even posted the picture here #but the i noticed the sizing wasn’t right & the yarn i was using was sooo annoying to work it i just couldn’t get it right... it was also #like dyed like ombré? & the colors were a bit off. like each mitt had a different color like the weren’t even a pair...#but i was insisting too much like i undid & knitting that thing like +10 times #knitted*#so i decided so grab some yarn that i like for my mittens & that i’m already familiar with & found this pretty pattern & so!! ta-da!!#it’s so much nicer than the other one. also my friend wasn’t that specific & gave me a lot of liberty do to whatever #she gave me a general idea of the colors she liked so these are perfect #also the inspo pics she sent me all had this kinda fair isle design but at first i was a little intimidated so i barely did it on that one #first mitten that i had posted. so i’m glad i tried a diff pattern a managed to make these!!!!#anyway that’s basically what my month was all about lol worrying abt the mitts then finally finding a solution #also i got a commission from a instagram mutual to crochet a bag with that little sleepy snoopy design on it!! i’ve seen it on tumblr a few #times now & i’m excited to finish this project & finally get to it!! already bought the yarn & it’s so pretty #SO MANY TYPOS SORRY #girl knits world #knitting

My dad was very against me getting a dog and then IMMEDIATELY fell in love with her. Like he absolutely adores her. He started off like 'uggh I don't want to end up having to take care of it' and now he REQUESTS to babysit her every couple weeks or so just for fun. He will just sit there petting her and chuckling and saying "She just makes me laugh :)" to himself. He calls himself her 'grandpa'. The bond between an aging father and the pet he didn't want is probably the deepest love on earth.

#(I don't live with my parents but we are actively in each others lives so me getting a dog would inevitably affect them)#He literally keeps talking about how it's like having a grandchild come visit LOL (he's not the 'overly humanizing pets' type but just #the 'bond with dogs feels familial' type)#She LOVES him too she gets so excited when she realizes she's going to Grandpa House #She's very shy with strangers but approaches men roughly his age and size to sniff them and I'm pretty confident that she's checking to #see if they're him. Like she won't approach any other demographic.#I think she likes him SLIGHTLY more than me lol but it's fair because my parents' dog likes me SLIGHTLY better than them so #it balances out

Thinking it's important to put this idea of Azula being told she needs to ask for forgiveness into context before assuming it is meant to blame Azula? Because we gotta remember that A) This whole vision is going off of what is in Azulas mind at the moment and B) This choice is given AFTER Azula finally gets down and agrees on something that she wants. Just before the vision version of Zuko appears is when Azula finally agrees yes, what she wants is to be apologized to and have the loyalty of those she cares about that hurt her.

So this is NOT saying 'everything is your fault and you need to go grovel and say you're sorry'. It's far closer to 'Okay...you want others to crave your forgiveness, but because you've also done these things the path to go that will lead to that is beginning to ask forgiveness yourself first."

It never says Azula doesn't deserve the apology she wants. The whole idea of what is going on is for this spirit to being peace, and a second chance to be set on a better path. To get what the person there wants instead. THAT is what the spirit is getting at. For her to get the apology she wants, the first step is offering the apologies she needs to give first.

The most interesting part to me is because this is mostly going off what AZULA is thinking and feeling...one might assume that means a part of Azula is well aware she has some forgiveness to ask for. And in the end she is fighting that idea in her mind.
