Deuce: Also pretty spacey, starts crying when he hears/sees his mom, but is also convinced he's spiderman.

Ace: Flirts with the nurse on the way to the car, is convinced he's being kidnapped like....

♠ EP6: Yuri and Fuju meet at Mio's house to discuss possession theories. *points at the picture below* Mio thinks that the ghost left Yuri's body because of impurity the 1st & 2nd time. 3rd is related to impurity because of Yuri's nosebleed during that disgusting kiss. But the trigger for the 4th possession of Fuju's body is a mystery to them.

~back to teen-fiction~ [Aono & Yuri in her bedroom] In order to lie about the reason for the meeting, Yuri tells Aono that they talked about ghosts in general and the theory of ghosts flying if they strip... Of course, our leading lady and her puuure thoughts. Never disappoints.

A: "should we test to see if I can take my clothes off?"

*Aono starts unbuttoning his shirt, while Yuri staaaares*

A: "you'll keep watching? it's embarrassing." Y: "you're right. I'll face the wall so take it off please. A: "eeeeh"

Anyways, she turns her head away and he continues with the shirt. This must be the most unanticipated moment in my entire life... sorry kid.

A: "isn't it unfair for only me to strip? won't you strip too?"

The girl feels bad for him and gives him a back-hug and tells him to put his hands on hers. Then she moves her hands on his body and he follows (while imagining that she is touching him)... alright, kids, lets move on before I go to hell for this. The manga must be much worse.

[NEXT scen-o] Back to the Blue Cheer squad, where Yuri invites her friends to spend a day out with her and her ghost. Fuju and Mio both opt-out.

Fuju: "let it be a date. it will be more fun with you 2 alone, right? you can go to a hotel afterwards." *Mio and Yuri shocked* Fuju: "I'm kidding."

Love him. honestly, the whole thing is ridiculous and he knows it lol

Y: "we can unexpectedly do lewd things..." F: "how? you can't touch him." Y: "creative ingenuity..." F: "do you masturbate while he gives you directions?"

Another shock for the girls. Fuju go easy on them. Mio changes the subject by bringing snacks and the gathering ends shortly after.

[Aquarium date] near the end, Aono tells Yuri that his little brother got lost in this aquarium. but he is glad he made happy memories with her here. she gets upset that he didn't tell her beforehand so they can change the date place. he apologizes and promises to share all his thoughts in the future. she feels bad for sulking. & I want to kill myself but lets move on from this very important happening.

Shadow and Bone trailer thoughts

After watching a few times...I have thoughts.

First off, the effects--really strong. Love the look of the magic. Love the look of the fold. Love the look of the Volcra. The show looks visually stunning over all. The costumes as well. Gorgeous. And the sets. It’s just...really high class production value.

The Crows, brief as a glimpse as we get of them, are perfect. Completely perfect. Kaz’s energy took my breath away. Inej is a goddess. Love, love, love. There wasn’t a lot of them but I think that’s because their story is a bit more shrouded in shadow.

Mal. I really like this actor as him. We didn’t see a ton of him in the trailer but what we did see is strong. I’m hopeful that this show will make me like Mal more and if it does, the actor will play a part in that.

Jesse as Alina seems great. Lots of range in her emotions. She has a lot of presence. It’s mostly serious in the trailer so I’m hoping we get a bit of her humor in the show. Crucial not to cut this. But they had a dramatic tone for the trailer.

Ben. BEN. WHY. do you DO. this to ME. Even if I didn’t love the Darkling (which I do) I would be simping so hard. His voice is perfect. His carriage is perfect. His staaaare.

And boy did we get some Darklina clips. I can already see the chemistry is gonna be stellar between them.

Want to see more Genya and of course Zoya. But hey. I am sated for now. And more excited for this show than ever. The panel was great and it seems all the actors really like the books and Leigh is very happy with it as well. Looking forward to falling deeper into my hyperfixation!

Thank you so much for the ask! You gave me two of my favourite prompts, so it was pretty hard to choose, but I settled on 6.

6. "I saw you with them and I couldn't keep lying to myself. When a person is your enemy, you doing get jealous that someone else has their affection."

It was the morning of Nonie and Merula's two year anniversary. Or well... something like that. Counting their time at Hogwarts, they had been a couple for much longer. But seeing as they had broken up shortly after leaving Hogwarts, they weren't sure how to count it. So eventually, they had simply settled on celebrating today.

"Wake up Star... Staaaar..." Merula softly shook Nonie's arm. But Nonie shook her head and turned on her other side. "No... sleep..." Merula rolled her eyes and shook her harder. “Come on, I made you breakfast, you idiot! I even made you coffee... but too bad, if you don’t want it...” With a little smile Nonie sat up. “Fine... Happy anniversary Mer.”

Merula sat down on her own side of the bed and put a tray with breakfast between them. “Chocolate pancakes?” Nonie asked. “You sure know the way to my heart.” Merula shook her head, exclaiming that it wasn’t hard to tell how much of a chocoholic Nonie really was. But then she smiled. “Happy anniversary, Star.”

Nonie laughed. “You could really start calling me Nonie, you know? But I guess old habits die hard.“ “As long as you keep wearing that dirty old hair clip, I will continue to call you Star.” Merula argued.

After breakfast, Nonie offered to do the dishes. Usually she would attempt to weasel her way out of doing them, by reminding Merula of the “devil’s snare incident” as she called it, telling her that she owed her for life, so she had to do the dishes. But not today, after Merula had already made her breakfast.

“Why don’t you stay home today..?” Merula asked, lovingly wrapping her arms around Nonie. “It’s our anniversary after all... you can miss one day of work...” Nonie laughed, reminding her that her work was important. She had some really big missions coming up that she needed to prepare for. “Also, I’m always worried that if I’m not there, Tonks and Talbott will kill each other.”

Merula hugged her even tighter. “Are you certain you have to go? Your idiot friends will be fine without you for a day.” But Nonie wasn’t persuaded. She turned around and gave her girlfriend a kiss, promising her that they would celebrate in the evening. After all, Merula had work to do as well. “But I need to go now. If I’m late again, Talbott will get annoyed. I barely made it on time yesterday...”

“Why are you so smiley today?” Tonks asked Nonie, seeming very curious. Her friend had not stopped smiling since she had come into work this morning.

Continue to smile, Nonie explained that today was Merula and her anniversary, and that she had a surprise planned for her girlfriend. She had been planning this for a little while, yet Merula still had no clue.

“You know how much I suck at keeping secrets, so that makes it even more exciting...” Tonks laughed. “Well, good for you. And yes, you do indeed suck at keeping secrets.”

It was in the late afternoon that Nonie returned home. She knew that Merula wouldn’t be home for a little while, so she had some time to set up.

It was nothing extravagant, just a small dinner on their balcony. Nonie thought that it was pretty funny that Merula had a similar idea, since she had made her breakfast this morning. And well.. Nonie also had a little gift for her that she would surely like. 

Neither of them had wanted something major for their anniversary. They were used to keeping their relationship on the down low, at first because Merula, the “most powerful witch at Hogwarts” (that self-appointed nickname still made Nonie chuckle sometimes, and she used every opportunity she could to tease her girlfriend with it) had wanted to keep it secret while they were still attending school, as not to ruin her image. And now that they were adults... well, Merula was still an Ex-death eater... even if joining had not been her choice.

Even though she wasn’t well known, and her escape had been three years ago... she still preferred to keep a low profile. Nonie understood. They finally got to be happy now, if Merula was found out...  Joining the death eaters had never been her choice. She had been forced to join by some of her parents old friends... 

After her parents had been pretty good at what they were doing, Merula had been seen as a valuable recruit. Valuable enough to warrant taking desperate measures to get her to join. These desperate measures included hurting everyone she loved and cared about.  And... not seeing another way out, Merula had accepted, hating herself for being a death eater, having ended up like her parents, more and more every day. 

But eventually, she had seen her chance to run...

Nonie and Merula had been through quite a lot over the last few years.  Since that day Merula showed up at Nonie’s doorstep, over three years ago, bloody and panting, having deserted the death eaters... so much had happened... 

“Star, where are you?” Merula asked when she returned home. There was no sign of her girlfriend anywhere. “Helloooooo...”  She walked through their small flat, peeking into every room. There really wasn’t that many possibilities where she could be hiding.  “Gismo, have you seen Star?” she asked Nonie’s cat, that was sleeping on their bed. He just looked up, made a faint meowing sound, and went back to sleeping.  Merula shook her head. “Useless animal...” 

“What are you doing out here?” Merula asked, as she found Nonie on the balcony.  It was decorated quite beautiful, it somehow reminded her of the celestial ball...  Nonie had set up a small table and two chairs as well.  They rarely ever used their balcony. Nonie was afraid of heights, and Merula just didn’t care for the view. 

Nonie smirked. “You know, you laugh at me for talking to Gismo, but ever so often I hear you do it too.”  Then she told her to sit down, since she had already prepared dinner.  “How burned is it..?” Merula asked, cautious. Then she sat down on one of the chairs Nonie had set up.

Dinner was nice. While eating and having some wine, they reminisced about how they first got together.  “I was so stunned when you asked me to dance with you at the celestial ball.” Nonie said. “If I recall right, you rejected me rather harshly when I asked you to be my date to the ball.” Merula blushed and frowned, saying that of course she did. After all, she had asked her in front of her friends, like it was nothing.  “And to be honest... I told myself that I despised you, that you were my enemy. That I found you idiotic. For searching for the vaults, for mixing up words, for being so nice to me, for always being so... revoltingly happy. Hey, don’t laugh-” 

Nonie couldn’t hold back her laughter. “I never knew happiness could be revolting. Mer...”  Merula shook her head. “I saw you dancing with Khanna, at the celestial ball... and I tried to keep pretending, but...  I saw you with her and I couldn't keep lying to myself. When a person is your enemy, you doing get jealous that someone else has their affection. I know you never dated, but when I saw the two of you, I assumed that you were. That you asked her to the ball instead of me, since I said no.”  She was still quite embarrassed to admit things like this, even though it was so many years ago. 

Nonie shook her head, explaining that back then, Rowan had just wanted to cheer her up. “I was quite upset that you didn’t want to attend the ball with me, since even back then I liked you at lot. I’m still not sure why... but I did. Ever since that day in dark arts class, where you accidentally slammed me into a shelf with a spell, and afterwards actually came to see me in the hospital wing, because you were worried.” 

Now Merula was the one laughing. “Seriously?! That’s when you fell for me? Star, you’re so strange.” But then she smiled. “I think I started to like you very early, I just didn’t want to believe it. Remember when you found me crying, because of that letter I received from my parents..? After all I had done to you, I expected you to make fun of me, to tell everyone that the supposed most powerful witch at Hogwarts was bawling her eyes out, but you didn’t. Instead you comforted me, and never told a soul about what happened. I wasn’t used to that sort of kindness.” 

With a smile, Nonie said that she knew that. “I decided to be extra nice to you from then on. My friends thought I was nuts.”  Merula nodded. “I thought you were mad too. I still think that you are, for being with me. But I’m so glad you are, you weirdo.”  Nonie laughed, and lent over the table to give her a kiss.  “Wait, that reminds me!” she then said, and got up. “I still have a gift for you, wait here!”

Merula watched with an amused smile as her girlfriend dashed inside. She used to think that Nonie being disorganised was just her, but after meeting her family, she had realised that most of the Scheinert’s seemed to be that way.   With a smirk on her face, she waited for her to come back. 

“Close your eyes.” Nonie said, as she walked back onto the balcony.  Merula rolled her eyes, but did as she said. Suddenly, she felt something very small and fluffy in her hands.  “Okay, you can open your eyes now.” Merula looked at her hands. A small orange Puffskein stared back at her.  “It’s so tiny...” Merula said, carefully caressing it’s fur with one of her fingers.  Nonie explained that Barnaby and Rowan’s Puffskein had a litter, and they had offered that she could have one. “I thought you’d like it. After all, you’ve been wanting one ever since we’ve met.” Merula carefully put the Puffskein down, and went to hug Nonie. This was truly a great gift... 

It was much later in the evening that Nonie stood at the banister of the balcony, watching the stars through the small telescope she had owned since Hogwarts. Or... trying to. She couldn’t see very many of them, since they weren’t that visible in the city.  “I should come out here more.” she said. “The view is so incredible that I can look past how high up it is.” 

After not receiving an answer, Nonie turned around. Merula had been awfully quiet for a while now. She was standing a few steps behind her, the small Puffskein they had named Ernie sitting on her shoulder.  “What’s wrong?”  Merula just shrugged, so Nonie turned back to watching the stars. 

“Eleonore?” Merula suddenly asked.  Nonie lowered the telescope. “... Yes?” she asked, slightly confused and maybe even a little freaked out. Merula had never called her by her actual first name before. On occasion she would call her Nonie, but never Eleonore. 

“I love you.” Merula said. “I really do.”  Nonie smiled. “Well, I love you too. It’s always nice to hear you say that.”  Merula rarely ever did. She preferred to convey her affection through gestures rather than words. Just like she was doing now, walking over to Nonie and pulling her into a hug. 

“I still think you’re an idiot... for always sticking with me. After all that I’ve done..”  Nonie shook her head. “Believe me, sometimes I feel like an idiot too. But I’m glad to have you. You’re not a bad person, Merula. Your alliance with the death eaters, it was... unfortunate, but not your choice. I know that you had no other choice, everyone does. And you gave us so much information to track down death eaters and their hideouts after you escaped. I know you’re not on their side.”

Suddenly, Merula let go of her and cleared her throat. “You are getting to emotional, Star. Let’s go inside, I’m cold.”  And with that, she walked back inside.  Nonie grinned, and followed her. Merula would be Merula. That was one thing that would never change.  Emotions would never really be her thing, but Nonie could live with that. 

She knew that Merula loved her, even if she didn’t always show it.

No thanks to “The Ponyhead Show!”, Eclipsa is more hated than ever! What’s Plan B? Make allies with other kingdoms to get on their good side! Starting with The Spiderbites! Eclipsa knows them since her ex-husband, Shastacan, was a Spiderbite. It shouldn’t be too hard, I mean, things can’t possibly get any worse, right?........riiiight!?

*Surviving the Spiderbites-Star gets all dressed up from her old princess dress in “Face the Music”/“Monster Bash” and desperately tries to make the Monster Temple presentable for the Spiderbites to get them to see Eclipsa as a good queen while Marco babysits Meteora. Oh yeah, that’s a safe idea! Watch over the creature that just turned into a baby who may or may not still have her old memories of her hatred for you and that also KILLED you and the rest of Mewni while rampaging mad! Things don’t go according to plan as Eclipsa is nowhere to be found and so Star tries to occupy the Spiderbites. We see Penelope Spiderbite once again and this time, with her parents! She’s busy on her phone while her parents impatiently wait on Eclipsa.

For those of you that don’t have The Magic Book of Spells, in Eclipsas chapter, it says that Solaria, Eclipsas mother, was close allies with the Spiderbites since they provided inventory for battle during the war between Mewmans and Monsters and it was Solarias idea to marry Shastacan with Eclipsa, but after the scandal, that changed everything. Star tries to give a tour of the Monster Temple to Lord and Lady Spiderbite showing off all the fancy monster decorative tableware, art and even a traditional dance by small monsters. They aren’t impressed and just give cold stares and express their disgust with everything.

Star calls them out for their racism against monsters saying they have a bad attitude like the rest of Mewni and even to Penny when she says nothing and just continues texting.....her boyfriend!? Who!? OMG! It’s Slime! ✨Spiderslime is canon!✨ Yea! A happy couple! And guess what!? Her parents approve! I think we know why ;). Thing is, they don’t hate monsters in general, just Globgor, the worst of the worst! All the things Star showed them about monsters, were actually tributes to his brutal monstrosity! Especially when one of ‘em was about him destroying the Spiderbite village! (hisses through grind teeth) Ouch! What happened to your keen eye there Star!? And to make matters worse, that “dance” they just saw, was all about Globgor eating Lady Spiderbites ancestor Shastacan! Don! Don! Don! I remember in Eclipsas chapter how she said Globgor joked about eating Shastacan............he wasn’t joking. They only came, not just to see Slime, but cuz Penelope convinced them to give Eclipsa a chance, but they call Eclipsa out for being selfish. (ashamedly groans) True.

Star uses the All-Seeing Eye spell to find Eclipsa and turns out, she’s been on the roof this whole time! Whomp! Whomp! Whomp! “Playing with rocks” with Glossaryck! Star scolds her for ditching out on the Spiderbites, but Eclipsa just forgot. She rushes over and to apologize for being tardy, she shows them Globgor in his crystallized imprisonment and how there’s no chance in Toms world that he’ll get out. This eases their worries and they agree to an alliance. In the end, Eclipsa explains how she was looking for fragments of the spellbook cuz she wants to learn how to do traditional magic. Sure she’s all about the dark arts, but it’s for the good of Mewni. Star uses her imagination for her spells, but she did learn traditional magic when she went through her character development. Star says Ludo/Toffee destroyed it (“Battle for Mewni:”Book be Gone”). However, Eclipsa says that there’s a way to reassemble the spellbook if pieces are left behind and those “rocks” she was “playing with” were her searches for said pieces. Course we all know though that that book is long since gone since Star made sure it was gone from “Rest in Pudding” isn’t that right Star...............Star...............Staaaar!?

Spiderslime happened!

💚 Yea! Our first new happy couple of the season! Congrats you two! You know, I always thought that there’d be an episode where Penelope’s parents disapproved Slime and so she’d ask Star and Marco to change their minds and in the end, Slime would win them over like how he did with Penelope with his slime, but through this ep, they welcome him with open arms. It was still mean that they kept badmouthing Globgor in front of Eclipsa who was hiding her sorrow deep inside. Poor thing is desperately trying to get her husband out, but it’s all in vain! Pick axes and chisels (“Butterfly Follies”/“Moon Remembers”) no good, going all “Freaky Friday” with Rhombulus (“Swim Suit”) no luck, let’s face it, he’s gone! :’( (Passt! (whispers) I think he will eventually come back, there’s an episode coming up later called, “The Monster and the Queen”, so here’s hoping). Eclipsa thinks it’s just hopeless at this point. The Magic Book of Spells was said by Daron herself that if you find bits and pieces of the book and use one of Glossys silkworms (and they all have names) to stitch it up, it’ll be good as new again! There’s a spell in there that can break Rhombuluses crystal imprisonment powers! Whoa! The end surprised me! Star is having second thoughts on Eclipsa! Of all people! Star was the first to side with Eclipsa once the truth was out, and yet, she’s holding back on her trust for her!? Was Moon right!? Were the Mewmans right!? Were the Spiderbites right!? Was putting Eclipsa back on the throne the best idea!? We saw she can be freaky deaky, but she’s sweet overall, but then there’s Globgor. Prince of Darkness! Plucker of Limbs! The Monster King! CRUSHER OF SKULLS! He doesn’t sound like a nice guy from those titles. Were they just for show or was it serious? Did he really change his ways for Eclipsa or did he only do that to his enemies? From what the Spiderbites said, Star is questioning all this herself.

Haha, there is a post roaming around trying to analyze what type of owl/cat the members could be. You could try looking for that ;) I looked at the nitotan plushies and they are incredibly cute! Hey Mr.E here Hoping everyone is doing well despite the chaos. I decided to post an oold story up while i write to hopefully brighten your day. this one is a nova vs prequel. I’m not sure if posted this one already, i’m pretty sure i did but oh well, there’ll be two. this one was proof read better!

so this takes place 7 years before the story, Star and Marco are still separated though very close to being reunited. Marco lives with his parents in the Diaz household, going to college and taking care of nova. Today’s boring trip to the store is made more exciting by one of Star’s secrets visits to Earth. but can the Diaz-Butterfly clan really have a normal shopping trip. no. no they can’t.

“You know” Star said calmly, throwing Marco a playful wink as the two children danced around their feet, one giggling and laughing without a care in the world, the other trying his hardest to retrieve his glasses from the girl who had stolen them off his face “When I decided to pop in from Mewni to visit, I had no idea our daughter had a playdate.”

The 7 year old little girl stopped at once, her electric blue eyes narrowing as her heart covered cheeks pouted angrily. her tiny hands found their way to her hips, her medium length light brown hair pigtails swaying in the wind as she looked sternly at Star.

“Mommy, it's not a playdate! We're just babysitting Connie because his parents are busy.”

The young girl yelped as the pair of black thick square rimed glasses were yanked out of her hands, the 7 year old boy gently placing them in front of his forest green eyes, his messy unkempt black hair becoming more unkempt as he frowned towards the young girl.

“Nova, that's not funny! I need theses to see, you know I can't see things if I don't have my glasses.”

“It was just a game Connie!”

“Stop calling me Connie Novy!”

Marco and Star chuckled at the sight of the two best friends lightly arguing with one another.

Nova Analise Butterfly was the proud daughter of Star and Marco, the spitting image of her mother though having a head full of her father's hair color, a little butterfly clip nestled comfortably in her hair that matched very well with her little blue sundress and sandals.

Connor, or Connie, Sinclair was rocking a green t-shirt with brown shorts and sneakers and a frown on his face.

“Novy, you are so mean” Connor whined, unable to stare directly at his best friend.

“Guest? We're not at the house.” Nova argued, eyes wandering across the many aisles of the supermarket and briefly wondered if her daddy was okay. He didn't remember where they were! Not a good sign for someone his age.

“He's still our guest and we need to be polite.”

“Okay Daddy.”

Star shook her head, trying to stifle a laugh at the sight of the two young children finally noticing where they were, their quiet staring now filled with awestruck wonder at the sheer size of the gigantic store.

“Look at them! It's like they've never seen a store before. Hee so cute.” Star cooed, savoring the joyful features on her daughter's face.

“I know another Butterfly that was completely lost with awe and wonder the first time we stepped into a Walmart” Marco teased, playfully nudging his wife before adding a wink.

Star flushed a bright red, turning her head away from Marco so he couldn't see her glowing hearts “I don't know what you're talking about!”

“I have pictures to prove otherwise.”

Star whirled around to a smug looking Marco holding his phone threateningly

Star scoffed and rolled her eyes “There is no way you kept those photos.”

“So you admit there were photos?” Marco shyly shot back.

“When” Star went on, pretending she didn't hear Marco's retort as she gently tugged at the soul patch growing neatly on his chin “Are you going to get rid of this? You're 28 Marco, not 17 again.”

“Hey!” Marco cried out indignantly “You said you liked it back then!”

“We were dating Marco and younger, of course I did like it, I thought it looked cool!”

“And now?”

“Now we're married and...” Star answered, pulling Marco closer and catching his lips with her own, savoring every moment of their romantic gesture before letting him loose “It makes you look less manly.”

Marco couldn't keep the stunned bliss off his face, his eyes still closed as he wobbled uneasily on his feet, his body still paralyzed from Star's kiss.

Star giggled at Marco's silliness as his eyes fluttered opened, a completely dazed look overtaking his face before slipping into a pout.

“Ugh, that's no fair! That's cheating.” Marco whined, eying Star's lips carefully as if they were ready to pounce upon him once more.

Star gave him a cheeky smile, running her hand throw his hair before teasingly replying “You love me.”

“Of course I do” Marco told Star, sliding his hand around her waist and dipping her low in front of the entire store without a second of hesitation “Do you love me?”

“Marco!” Star shouted, her red hue becoming redder as people stopped and stared at the young couple “Everyone's looking!”

“So? Oh, I know. I should give them a show?”

“M-Marco!”

“Shall I start singing?” Marco questioned before taking a large gulp of air.

“Of course I love you Marco!” Star yelled, trying to keep her heart from running out of her chest at her very public declaration of affection.

Marco said nothing as he helped Star to her feet, mockingly bowing to the princess before allowing her to smack his arm in false anger.

“You are so silly Marco”

“I wonder where I got it from?”

The two shared a knowing smile before Marco offered his arm to the princess, trying not to let out a cheer of victory when Star took it with a cute curtsy.

Marco was enjoying the moment of pure elation that came with his wife's rare visits when he realized something was missing or rather, two someones.

“Star?” Marco began carefully, eyes scanning every inch of the store.

“Yes Marco?” replied Star, clueless to her husband's actions or thought process.

“Where are the kids?”

“Umm...” Star said nervously, trying to stop herself from chewing on the nearest thing she could which in this case would be Marco's hand “I...I thought they were right here! I could've sworn they were just staring at some candy and....”

“STAAAAR, you lost our daughter and her easily impressionable best friend!”

“Hey, whoa whoa whoa!” Star raised her hands defensive “you lost our daughter and her impressionable best friend! Distracting me with your stupidly tempting lips!”

“Says the girl who loves giving brain numbing smiles she knows that I can't get enough of!”

The two took a step closer, playfully growling at one another before a loud crash thundered throughout the store.

Marco and Star jumped, startled that the busy chattering of shoppers at Walmart suddenly became panicked cries of shock and fear, the loud echoing of footsteps in flight filling every corner of the store.

The couple shared a concerned look before rushing off to find the source of the commotion.

“Do you think it's Nova?” Star couldn't keep the worry out of her voice, trying her hardest to keep herself calm despite the fact they didn't know for certain that it was their little girl behind the apparent craze that spread throughout the store.

Marco and Star barely reached the end of the aisle in time for something to blur pass them at breakneck speed, a white thick powdery form covering their bodies from head to toe without warning.

Marco wiped the foam from his eyes in time to notice Nova and Connor standing within a grayish shopping cart, the loudly clacking wheels beating itself into his head as Nova screamed at the top of her lungs with pure joy while Connor propelled the two forward using a fire extinguisher as their fuel source.  

“Aww, look her ride the cart monster” Star cooed, soaking in the pride she felt at Nova's actions and courage

“She's standing up in the cart!” Marco cried with a panicked edge “It's so unsanitary, it's so unsafe. She could bump her head, she accidentally eat some of the foam!” Marco let out a horrified gasp “The cart could hit a bump and she could go flying out but not just that, her hair could get tangled in the basket and be ripped violently from her head! She'll be crying, she'll be sad, SHE'LL BE BALD!”

Marco started hyperventilating, his mind hopping from one terrifying thing to the next, all the possibilities that could happen to his baby girl. Next stop on the train of thought, mental breakdown.

“She should try this foam, it's sooooo good.”

Marco threw a glare to his side, unable to believe that Star was eating handfuls of the fire stopping gunk without care or any physical sign of getting sick.

“Hey, don't look at me” Star stuck her tongue out at Marco “You've got plenty of your own.”

“Star” Marco chastised  “Stop eating foam and stop our runaway daughter! Make a barrier or road block but...y-you know safe, fluffy one or something. Oh and give her knee and elbow pads. And a helmet. And some pillows. And maybe make the floor rubber or like a bounce house, that would be helpful too.”

Star let out a teasing laugh “How am I supposed to do that? With my face?” Star narrowed her eyes in thought “With...my...face....Could I stop the shopping cart monster with my face?”

“Do not use your face honey, use the wand.” Marco clarified helpfully.

“Ooooh” Star nodded, finally comprehending what Marco was asking of her “Yeah, I left the wand in Mewni.”

“What!” Marco shouted as Nova completed a full lap around the store, another wave of foam covering Marco's shocked and angry face.

“Don't what me, you know I'm not allowed to bring the wand to Earth when I'm my secret visits” Star gently reminded her husband, playfully drawing a smile and two eyes on the plain foam that suffocated Marco, cheerfully clapping her hands at her foam man.

Marco shook the fire suppressing material off of his face, his light brown eyes apologetic and sorrowful “Sorry sweetie. It's just this whole situation reminds me of the good old days. You know...when you lived on earth. With us....with me...”

Star cupped Marco's cheek in her hand, the memory of those wonderful times filling her with equal parts warmth and loss.

“I know. Soon love. Once Ferguson becomes president, the council will induct Earth into the alliance and we won't be separated any longer.”

Marco let out a disbelieving chuckle “Whoever thought Ferguson would be so popular that he would actually cause the government to lower the legal age requirement for being president?”

“I'm surprised how many people want an opossum suit wearing president.”

“It's the prehensile tail. Girls love the prehensile tail” Marco teased.

Star brightly returned Marco's smile, her soft lips surging forward and kissing him once more. Just a little longer and she could kiss Marco everyday.

“FULL SPEED FIRST MATE CONNIE!”

“STOP CALLING ME THAT!”

Marco and Star broke away from their kiss to see an out of control Nova and Connor skidding dangerously left and right, their fuel source sputtering and coughing up blobs of foam rather than a stream of it

“Oh Glagok!” Star shouted before covering her mouth, eyes fearfully glancing around as if she was worried she accidentally offended someone.

“Star, I don't....”

“it's like your F word married the C word and gave birth to a word that grew up to everyone's expectations, went to the most prestigious school, dropped out and now peddles illegal alchemical goods to hapless, naive tourists.”

Marco wanted to voice his confusion at that explanation when the shopping cart overturned, launching both Connor and Nova high into the air. Connor let out a cry of fear, arms flailing wildly while Nova held her fist high into the sky, propelled through the air like a superhero.

“MY BABY!” Marco shrieked.

“Our baby Marco” Star scolded, grabbing her husband's hand and dragging him forward, trying her hardest to calculate where Nova was going to land “Ugh, why is she moving so fast?”

“I'll make a note to write a letter to the CEO of Walmart and let them know they should increase the friction between their wheels and their waxed floors!” Marco sarcastically responded.

“No time for a note Marco” Star scolded, the sarcastic edge to Marco's voice flying right over her head

Marco wanted to say more but it turned out his little comment was far more distracting to Star than he thought because without any warning, the two crashed into a wall of produce, sending the entire wall of food tumbling forward and chaining one long domino effect that rippled across the remainder of the store.

Marco and Star lay across a nice, squishy, now crushed pile of bread, groaning in pain and tiredness.

“Ugh I felt like I got sucker punched by Spike Balls” Star whined, rubbing her forehead with the back of her hand “What hit us?”

Marco groped blindly underneath his battered body, grunting with effort as he held aloof the item that caused the pair so much pain “Remind me to use sourdough as a home defense weapon....”

“WEEEEEE” Nova's voice caught the attention of her parents but before either of them could react in time, Nova came sailing directly towards them and their cushy pile of bread, Connor arms wrapped around her like some sort of a human cape. With a soft thud, the two children landed safely between Star and Marco, Nova giggling happy like the little girl she was as Connor shivered like a leaf in the wind, eyes wide with trauma.

“That was fun!” Nova cheered, shaking Connor loose out of his stupor and embracing him tightly causing Connor to finally relax.

“Nova Analise Butterfly!”  

Nova jumped at the sound of her completely infuriated father, cowering behind Connor in hopes that somehow the young boy would cool her father's rage.

“Connie, save me!” Nova cried, visibly shaking behind her best friend.

Connor said nothing as he took a step to the side, unblocking Marco from his daughter.

“Thanks Connie.” Nova pouted as Connor stuck out his tongue

“Nova, what were you thinking?! You could've been hurt! You could've gotten Connor hurt. You could've become bald!”

Nova paled “Bald?! Me?”

Marco felt his hardened heart soften at the sight of his daughter clutching her little pigtails fearfully.

“I'm sorry daddy....” Nova frowned, eyes pooling tears of disappointment and shame

“What were you thinking sweetie?” Marco asked gently, crouching down to eye level to calm Nova down.

“I...I...” Nova shifted guiltily “You talk about all the fun times you had with mommy....and....she...she's here today...I...thought.....I...I...I just wanted be like mommy......”

Marco and Star shared a look, their resolving crumbling under Nova's cutely adorable assault.

“Oh sweetie” Star murmured softly, reaching out and embracing her sniffling child “You don't have to do crazy and reckless things to be like mommy. Just be yourself.”

“B-but...but you are so cool and amazing” Nova countered, pulling away from Star but not breaking her mother's hold on her shoulders “Daddy tells me all the super amazing stories you two have.....I wanted to impresses you...”

“And you'll make your own” Star softly answered, holding her cheek “but you are young. You're only job isn't trying to impress me, it's being my little girl.”

Nova held her mother tight, enjoying every moment of their hold on one another. Who knows when her mommy was going to able to visit again and even if she was in so much trouble, it was worth it just to enjoy a hug from her amazing mother.

Soon, Star silently promised to Nova, soon you won't need to get by on our old stories. Soon you'll have your mother every day of your life and I will never have to leave you again. I promise.

“Umm sir?”

Marco turned to see a handful of police officers as well as who must've been the manager of the Walmart. Marco finally took in the entire destruction of the store: small random fires, countless of overturned walls and goods scattered throughout the floor, a few ceiling lights hung dangerously barely held together by a few wires.

“Oh dang...” Marco muttered to himself, wondering how he was going to pay for all this damage. He was just one month away from getting his master's degree in psychology but he was already up to his eyeballs in debt. Well he didn't need to live comfortably when he was 60 right?

“I....I'm sure I can...” Marco began but the manger held up his hand.

“Is your wife Star Butterfly?”

“Yes!” Star rose to her feet excitedly, gesturing and showing off her mewberty wings for confirmation “yes that is me! Staaaaar Butterfly.”

The police rolled their eyes, dispersing without another word as the manager let out a sigh of relief, answering Star and Marco's quizzical stare with a sheepish “I've got Star coverage. Every store in town has it”

“Star coverage?” Star wondered but Marco was already dragging his wife, their daughter and the traumatized best friend out of the store, counting his lucky stars that Star lived in Echo Creek once upon a time.

“You okay Connie? Didn't have fun?” Nova asked curiously, finally noticing Connor's displeased facial expression.

“Stop calling me Connie...you're just teasing like everyone else.”

Nova frowned, finally realizing how much Connor disliked her playful nickname for him.

“Fine, if you don't like Connie, I'm calling your four eyes from now on! What?” Nova cut Connor's retort short “You don't like it? Are you kidding me? That is so cool to have four eyes! You can see four times better than any other kid our age. Makes you like a superhero or something. My superhero!”

Connor blushed, something about Nova's logic not sitting well with him but the way she said it, the happiness, the pride she took in coming up with that nickname, made him feel warm and fuzzy. Connor liked four eyes. Made his glasses seem almost normal and not a disability.

“Okay Nova.” Connor consented “You can call me four eyes but not too much.”

“No promises four eyes” Nova told him with a wide smile.

“Bye Connor! Bye guys, see you next week!” Marco waved goodbye to the departing Sinclair family, grateful that Connor decided not to inform his parents about the rather eventful trip to Walmart when asked about his day. He liked Connor and he knew Nova was much more fond of the young man than she let on. Or showed.

He let out a tired sigh, glancing to the living room where he last left Star and Nova, his parents already fast asleep after such an exciting dinner with their elusive daughter-in-law.

Marco couldn't stop the soft smile that graced his face as he found Star and Nova sleeping comfortably on the couch, Nova held close to Star as Star tilted her head back, the pair of his favorite girls lightly snoring in unison.

Marco should've woke Star up, sent his wife back to Mewni ASAP before someone discovered where she had really disappeared to but Star's mother was a frightening woman to face (he knew that one first hand when he was summoned to Mewni for a little talk involving their starshine) and Marco knew for all her tough love, Moon loved her daughter and granddaughter even in spite of the questioned legality of Nova's claim to the throne and she was pretty fond of Marco too. She would buy Star enough time to sneak back into the palace without anyone the wiser and Marco wanted to spend one night with his family, whole and complete as they would one day be.

And so, as quietly as he could, Marco shut off the lights in the living room, carefully laying down next to Star, taking his wife and daughter in his arms and covered his little family, his world with a warm blanket, drifting off to the most peaceful sleep he had in years.
