pairing ; au!nicholas chavez x fem!reader contains ; 80s alternate universe , brother’s best friend , tension. a/n ; 1980s alternate universe where nicholas is a rich kid. summary ; after y/n’s family moves house, her neighbour (and brother’s best friend) catches her eye.
THERE’S SOMETHING SO attractive about a man who is forbidden. maybe it’s the fantasy of it: the yearning for something that is just out of reach. it’s almost as if you’re looking at him through a glass wall, but all you can do is look.
y/n laid on her bed in front of her window, looking into the house next door. coincidentally, nicholas’ bedroom window was opposite her’s. she wasn’t sure he realised yet, but she sure did, and the lack of curtains on his end didn’t help.
she’d glance outside her window for a moment sometimes and be met with the sight of him and a girl, a different one every time. and it’s not that y/n was nosey, but what type of jerk brings a new girl home every other day?
whatever, it was none of her business. her fingers absentmindedly twisted a strand of hair as her mind wandered. suddenly, the shrill ring of the house phone cut through the peaceful haze of her afternoon. she groaned, tossing the magazine aside, and reluctantly swung her legs over the edge of the bed. It was always a race to answer the phone before someone else picked up or, worse, before the answering machine clicked on. downstairs, she heard it ring again, and she bolted for the hallway.
her feet hit the marble steps, carefully rushing down them in order to not slip (trust me, she’s learned her lesson) as she took them two at a time, and she reached for the phone just as it rang a third time. the long, coiled cord dangled like a snake as she brought the heavy receiver to her ear.
“hello?” she sighed.
“hey, y/n, it's me,” her brother's voice crackled through the line.
the girl rolled her eyes. he had been out all day, probably hanging out with his basketball friends from down the street. “what do you want?”
“i, uh... i left my watch at the chavez'.”
“okay?” she leaned against the doorframe, already regretting picking up the call.
“in the bathroom,” he added sheepishly. “i kinda need you to go get it for me.”
y/n rolled her eyes. “you want me to go to the neighbors' house and ask them for your stupid watch?”
“please?” he sounded desperate. “mom’s gonna freak if she finds out i lost it again. it’s the one grandma got me, remember?”
y/n sighed dramatically, twisting the cord around her fingers. she hated doing her brother’s errands. “why don't you go get it?”
“i'm, uh, not really around right now.”
“not around?” she scowled, though she knew he couldn't see it. “what, are you in another dimension or something?”
“i'm at the arcade,” her brother admitted. “and i can’t leave right now i’m with someone”
y/n gasped jokingly before mocking him, “you’ve got a girlfriend, you’ve got a girlfri-”
“shut up” he responded.
“why don’t you ask nick?” she moved on.
“if i call their phone his mom might pick up and i’ll have to explain and then she might tell-” he rambled before being cut off by the annoyed groan of his sister.
she could practically hear the grin on his face, knowing he'd dodged responsibility again. she thought about arguing but decided it wasn't worth the effort. “fine,” she huffed. “but you owe me.”
“alright, thanks bye!” her brother said quickly, relief flooding his voice before quickly hanging up on her.
with that, she made her way across the manicured lawns toward nick’s place. his family’s house, a massive mediterranean-style mansion, was just a short walk away. she’d been over a few times for pool parties and get-togethers, but it was always when his parents were throwing some lavish event. now, though, it was quiet, and she wasn’t sure if anyone was even home.
the front door was open slightly, and y/n knocked, stepping into the cool air-conditioned hallway when there was no answer.
“nicholas?” she called out, but was greeted by silence, except for the distant hum of music playing from somewhere upstairs.
the girl figured he must be in his room or something, so she headed up the grand staircase, walking down the hallway towards the bathroom her brother had mentioned. the marble floors were cool beneath her feet, and the whole house had that expensive, freshly cleaned smell that only rich homes seemed to have. don’t get me wrong, y/n was rich, but not this rich.
as she reached the bathroom, the door was slightly ajar, steam seeping out into the hallway. before she could knock, the door opened, and there stood nick, freshly out of the shower, a towel hanging loosely around his waist, his skin still glistening with water droplets.
y/n froze.
his eyes widened, clearly just as surprised to see her. his hair was damp, hanging messily over his forehead, and the sight of him standing there, looking every bit like a golden god, left y/n momentarily speechless.
“y/n?” he said, his voice smooth but amused. “what are you doing here?”
she swallowed, trying to find her voice. “um, my brother… he left his watch here earlier. i came to get it.”
nick chuckled, leaning against the doorframe, his towel shifting dangerously low on his hips, revealing his very noticeable v-line. “ah, the infamous watch.” he nodded back toward the counter inside the bathroom. “it’s right there.”
she glanced past him and spotted the watch sitting next to the sink. but her eyes didn’t stay on the watch for long, not with nicholas standing right in front of her like that, all muscles and damp skin. she could feel her cheeks heating up, and she hoped he didn’t notice.
“thanks,” she mumbled, stepping forward to grab it, but not before catching the faint scent of his aftershave. it was intoxicating.
just as she reached for the watch, he shifted, his arm brushing against hers. she couldn’t help but look up, meeting his eyes, which were gleaming with that signature smirk of his.
“you know,” he said, his voice low, “you didn’t have to come all the way over here for that. i could’ve brought it over later.”
her heart was racing now, and she tried to play it cool. “i didn’t want to bother you”
nick raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying it. “bother me? y/n, you’re never a bother, you’re my best friend’s sister after all.” his gaze lingered on her for a moment, the air between them thick with tension.
she quickly snatched the watch off the counter, stepping back. “well, i’ve got it now, so I’ll just…go.”
the boy chuckled, taking a step forward, his eyes never leaving hers. “you don’t have to rush off. why don’t you hang out for a bit? i was about to make some food, and i could use some company.”
she hesitated, the idea of staying here, alone with nick, both thrilling and terrifying. the way he was looking at her — like she was the only thing in the room that mattered — made it hard to think straight.
“i don’t know,” she said, biting her lip.
he grinned, stepping even closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. “come on, y/n. stay.”
it wasn’t really a question.
and before she could talk herself out of it, she nodded.

“Will you please just consider it!” Abigail pleads beside you on the sidewalk, weaving through the bustling crowd with an effortless grace. The sun casts dappled shadows on the pavement, and the scent of street food mingles with the crisp urban air.
The city feels particularly relentless as you trudge along the crowded sidewalk, your third cup of coffee from the corner deli clutched in one hand, its steam mingling with the bustling street air. Your shoulders droop under the weight of fatigue, a stark contrast to the frenetic energy of the city around you. Each step towards your office tower feels heavier, as though the concrete beneath your feet has turned to lead.
The tall buildings loom overhead, their steel and glass facades glinting under the midday sun, but their gleam only seems to amplify the oppressive weight of your exhaustion. The vibrant hum of the city—a symphony of honking taxis, chattering pedestrians, and distant sirens—becomes a monotonous drone.
Your dress, once crisp and sharp, now feels more like a burden, its fabric slightly rumpled from a day spent at your desk.
“I can’t take that much time off of work,” You say, your voice tinged with frustration but softened by a hint of regret. You’re caught in that all-too-familiar tug of war between professional obligations and personal desires. You finally get the chance to turn your head to look at Abigail as you reach a crosswalk, blinking not to cross. You see the disappointment flicker in your friend’s eyes.
“I get it,” Abigail says, her voice steady and tinged with understanding, “I know how demanding your job is. But that doesn’t mean you can’t work from home. Or take personal time. I know you have that option.”
You chuckle softly, admiring her persistence to some degree. “You’re persistent, I’ll give you that.”
“When is the last time you even took a personal day.”
The answer was never. But she didn’t need to know that.
“Will you stop begging me every second of every day if I say yes?” You ask, half in jest but with a trace of genuine curiosity.
“Obviously,” she replies, her smile widening as she sees the shift in your stance.
The pedestrian light turns green, and as you start to cross the street, you take a deep breath, blinking to steady your thoughts. “Fine.”
Abigail’s face lights up with a victorious grin, her eyes sparkling with triumph. “Really?”
“Yes.”
-
Nestled amidst rolling green hills and expansive grasslands, Abigail’s small family farm is a picturesque retreat. The scene unfolds like a charming pastoral painting, with vibrant hues of green and wheat fields stretching out as far as the eye can see, interspersed with splashes of color from blooming wildflowers.
At the heart of the farm stands a quaint, cozy house, its charm amplified by a wraparound porch adorned with potted flowers. The house itself is a delightful mix of rustic and charming, with its whitewashed clapboard siding, and a steeply pitched roof.
Adjacent to the house, a well-tended vegetable garden thrives, it’s neat rows of tomatoes, lettuce, and peppers bordered by a low wooden fence. A couple of well-worn garden tools lean against a small shed nearby, evidence of the daily care given.
Further out, a classic red barn structure where a white trimmed roof sits atop. The sounds of clucking hens and the occasional bray of donkey create a lively atmosphere. Near the barn, sits a small paddock with a couple of playful horses, their sleek coats gleaming in the sunlight.
The fresh air of the farm is almost a sensory overload compared to the city’s fumes. Unlike the citys dense cocktail of exhaust fumes, asphalt, and various street food vendors, the farm air is pure.
As you sit at the kitchen table, the warmth of the farmhouse envelops you. The rustic charm of the kitchen, with its large wooden table and mismatched chairs, is filled with the sounds of cheerful conversation and shared laughter.
Abigail stands at the center of the room, animatedly catches her family up on the latest happenings in her city life. Her eyes sparkle with excitement, her gestures lively and expressive. The tales of the city hustle almost seem foreign in this serene setting.
Danny and Luke, her two older brothers, sit across from you at the table. Danny, with his sandy blond hair and easy-going demeanor, leans back in his chair, his face lit up with a relaxed smile. He listens attentively, occasionally interjecting with teasing remarks or playful banter. His presence is warm and reassuring. His wife, Gianna, sits beside him with a small baby boy on her lap.
Luke, on the other hand, exudes a quiet strength. His dark hair is neatly tousled, and his gaze is both thoughtful and amused. His demeanor calm yet engaged.
“It’s so nice to finally meet the girl who makes our Abigail so happy in the city,” Abigail’s mother continues, her voice carrying a note of heartfelt sincerity. “She’s always spoken so highly of you.”
You feel a flush of warmth at the compliment, a mix of gratitude and slight nervousness at the attention all on you.
“Thank you so much for having me,” You smile softly. “I don’t know what I would do without Abigail in my life.”
With a playful glint in Danny’s eye, he chimes in, “I do.”
The room erupts in a chorus of laughter, the sound ringing out with genuine warmth and affection.
You decided right there you may just like it here a lot more than you thought.
-
The silk dress that adorned your body was utterly unsuitable for the rugged rodeo environment, but you didn’t really care. The delicate fabric, with its soft sheen and flowing lines, clashed vividly with the dusty, rough-and-tumble atmosphere of the rodeo.
As you moved through the arena, the contrast became more pronounced. The silk, while beautiful, struggled against the elements—dust from the arena settling onto the fabric, and the occasional splash of beer threatening to leave their mark. The sight of your delicate dress among the crowd of rugged cowboys and cowgirls in their jeans, boots, and plaid shirts drew curious glances.
But you didn’t care. You liked your clothes, the luxurious feel of the silk against your skin, the way it draped with effortless grace. The expensive fabric was a statement of your personal taste, and you embraced it fully, regardless of the setting.
“You could’ve borrowed some jeans, you know?” Abigail chirps beside you, her jeans mostly ripped and worn matched well with her cowboy boots.
You shrug your shoulders in a noncommittal way. “I’m going to head to the bathroom before this starts. Grab me a drink?”
“Duh. See you at the seats?” Abigail laughs before sauntering off towards a beer vendor.
You stand still for a moment, observing Abigail and her brothers joking around as they stroll across the lively rodeo grounds. You can’t help but smile at their playful banter, you didn’t have growing up.
As you watch, lost in the charm of the moment, a rough shoulder unexpectedly collides with yours. The sudden contact jolts you out of your reverie, and you turn to see a burly cowboy in worn jeans and a dusty plaid shirt.
You swore he was one of the hottest men you’ve ever seen in your life until he opened his big fat mouth.
“You lost?” He laughs, his green eyes bright and mischievous as he adjusts the hat on his head.
“Excuse me?” You reply, a mix of confusion and irritation threading through your voice.
“The city is a long way from here,” He drawls, the smirk on his lips widening with a hint of amusement.
The combination of his cheeky grin , the twinkle in his eye, and the dismissive tone ignites a flicker of anger within you. It feels like a mix of condescension and teasing that sends a sharp heat coursing through your veins. You roll your eyes, unable to hide your annoyance.
“Thanks for the information, jackass,” You snap, shoving past him with a forceful nudge. You march away with purpose, the silk of your dress swishing around your legs with each determined step.
Unbeknownst to you, as you walk away, he can’t help but turn his head to watch the sway of your hips in the thin, delicate fabric. His gaze lingers for a moment longer than necessary, a mixture of surprise and lingering admiration in his eyes as he takes in your retreating figure.
A hand lands firmly on his shoulder, and a voice calls out, “C’mon Charles, you need to get changed.” The words cut through his moment of distraction.
With a slight jolt, he snaps back to reality and glances over, meeting the eyes of his friend who is already gesturing towards the changing area. Reluctantly, he shifts his focus and starts to follow, his gaze now shifting into a more focused, practical demeanor.
-
Finally settled into your seat, far too close to the metal fence for your liking, and smothered between Abigail and Luke, you feel yourself relax as Luke places a tall boy can of beer in your hand, the wet condensation soaking your hand.
“Hope you can handle a beer,” Luke states, a smile on his lips. “It’s all they had left.”
You bring the can of beer to your lips slowly, savoring the crisp, cool sensation as you take a smooth sip. With a playful glint in your eye, you send a wink in Luke’s direction. “I promise I can handle a beer,” you say with a teasing smile.
Luke’s eyes crinkle at the corners with amusement, and he lets out a hearty chuckle. He lifts his own beer in a casual salute, the gesture accompanied by a nod of approval. As he takes a sip, the cool amber liquid reflecting the warm light of the evening, he meets your gaze with a grin that mirrors your playful confidence.
“So how does this work?” You ask, turning your full attention to Luke while Abigail and Danny are engrossed in their own conversation on the other side of you.
Luke raises an eyebrow in curiosity. “How does what work?”
You gesture broadly with your hands, waving them in animated circles as you take in the bustling rodeo arena before you. “This,” you say, trying to encompass the entire scene with your sweeping motions.
As if gaining a sense of clarity, the corners of Luke’s lips tug upward. “Why don’t you just watch and find out? It’s about to start.”
You turn your head back to the dirt ring, feeling the adrenaline of the moment as you witness a big brown bull in the chute. Its snorts are visible through the gaps in the metal fences, each exhalation a cloud of steam in the crisp air.
A handsome cowboy, his broad shoulders accentuated by a fitted vest, mounts the bull with practiced ease. He glances up with a confident, almost cocky grin that makes your heart race even faster. Your gaze follows every move he makes, captivated by the way he balances on the bull’s massive back as the gate swings open.
The bull bursts into action, hooves flying and muscles rippling as it twists and bucks in an attempt to throw the rider off. The scene is a whirlwind of motion and raw power—an exhilarating display of skill and bravery. It’s almost surreal, the sheer intensity of the bull’s movements and the cowboy’s unflinching composure.
As the bull spins in tight circle, you glance over to the timer mounted on the fence. The seconds tick away, each moment bringing the eight-second mark closer. When the buzzer finally sounds, signaling the end of the ride, the cowboy springs off the bull with an effortless grace. He tosses a hand in the air, his expression nonchalant as if the wild ride was nothing more than a casual stroll.
The crowd erupts in cheers and applause, their excitement palpable as they all stand up with shouts.
You turn your head back towards Luke, one of the biggest smiles on your face as you meet his eyes in pure astonishment.
“How about it?” Luke chimes in, taking yet another chug of his beer.
“This is insane!” You take another sip as well.
-
Charles lived for bull riding. It was more than just a passion—it was his livelihood. The cowboy lifestyle, with its raw, untamed essence, had shaped almost every aspect of his existence.
To him, the bull was not just an animal but a formidable partner in a high-stakes dance of power and control. Two things Charles always loved to have. Every successful ride was a testament to his skill and courage, a dance with danger that left him both exhilarated and humbled. Like this ride. Right now.
He throws his hand in the air, the rush of pure adrenaline coursing through his veins. The feel of the dirt beneath his boots, the deafening roar of the crowd, and an impressive score of 91, was enough to send him shouting in joy. He let his eyes wander the crowd around him, taking it all in like he always loves to do. He livesfor the attention.
So, when he notices a familiar woman seated right before the metal fence, paying little to no attention to the dirt ring, he can’t help but feel just a little annoyed.
He also can’t help but feel more annoyed when he takes notice of that silk fabric again, immediately remembering when he bumped into your frame mere moments ago. Your cherry lips and silky-smooth hair flash into his mind. For a second, he almost forgets the fact that he’s standing in the middle of a dirt ring.
He can’t quite shake the memory of your demeanor and the way you seemed detached from the rodeo’s thrilling chaos. The way you could care less about who he was. It’s a curious juxtaposition against the fervor of the crowd and the adrenaline that still courses through him.
One thing about Charles was that he wanted attention, yes. But right now, he only wanted yours. With that unshakable desire in mind, he strides confidently toward where you’re seated. The metal fences between you both form a barrier, but that doesn’t deter him.
As he approaches, the crowd senses a shift in the energy and falls into an anticipatory hush. Their collective gaze shifts to you and Charles, creating a palpable focus on the interaction.
Charles, his presence commanding and confident, slips his hat through the gap in the metal fence, offering it to you with a smirk. The hat, wide brimmed and well worn, represents a piece of his world.
“To help you fit in better.” His tone a mix of challenge and amusement.
Without waiting for a response, he turns on his heel and finally saunters off, his gait relaxed yet purposeful.
-
“What just happened?” Abigail smacks your arm, the one not jolding the hat, as you walk side by side. Her brothers loom behind you, their presence adding to the charged atmosphere of the moment. “Why did Charles fucking Leclerc just give you, his hat?”
You glance at the hat, a bemused expression on your face. “That guy is a total dick is what just happened.”
Abigail’s eyes widen, her excitement barely contained. “What do you mean!” She practically shouts, her voice a mix of disbelief and thrill. “He’s like famous here. Every girl probably hates you right now.”
“Why?” You ask, genuinely puzzled.
“Are you blind?” Abigail’s voice now full sheer joy. “The dude is practically sex on fucking legs. And he’s one of the best bull riders around!”
You look back at the hat again, it suddenly feels heavier in the grasp of your fingertips. “Charles Leclerc is a big deal around here. And he just gave you, his hat. That’s a huge deal.”
You roll your eyes, trying to ignore the slight flush of embarrassment creeping up your neck. “Well, it doesn’t change the fact that he was a jackass earlier. But I guess it’s good to know he’s a big deal around here.”
Abigail bursts into laughter. “You really are something else.”
-
The narrow aisles of the tiny market, with their cramped and cluttered shelves, had you aimlessly strolling in circles. The items on your list—given to you by Abigail’s mom—seemed to elude your every turn. The overhead lights cast a harsh glare on the disorganized assortment of product, making it difficult to find what you needed. You stood there, your eyes narrowing in annoyance, at the crumpled list clutched in your hand.
“Need some help, sweetheart?”
The sound of the deep, velvety voice was enough to draw your attention away from the list. You turned to see Charles standing not even a few feet away, a smirk playing on his lips as he leaned casually against a shelf. His eyes, green as ever, created a swirl of butterflies in the pit of your stomach.
Although you were known for your stubbornness, often digging your heels in even when it wasn’t your best interest, you had to admit you were out of your depth in the tiny market. There were no signs. No directory.
“Depends,” you reply, the hint of a playful challenge in your voice. Charles raises his eyebrows, a silent prompt for you to elaborate further.
“If you call me city girl even once,” you continue, your tone firm but light-hearted, “I’ll knock you right out.”
The challenge is met with a shit-eating grin, so wide on Charles’s face that it seems almost infectious. His cheeks stretch into an exuberant smile, his eyes sparkling with amusement. And it takes him one step, and one stretch of his arm, to snag that grocery list right out of your dainty fingertips.
-
“You’re cute when you’re real mad, y’know?” He drawls, placing the groceries into the bed of the pick-up truck you borrowed from Abigail’s family.
“I’m not mad.”
“You’re right.” He says, placing the final bag into the truck and leaning against the frame of it with an arm propped up. “You’re just cute.”
“Don’t call me that.”
Charles doesn’t miss the subtle flush the tints the apples of your cheeks with a delicate shade of red. The reaction stirs a flutter in his chest, almost like an addiction that he never wants to stop.
You’re undeniably cute, with an effortlessly enchanting beauty that makes it difficult to look away. A magnetic pull that Charles just can’t shake. It’s almost as if he’s addicted to getting a reaction out of you.
-
It’s been days of settling into the rhythm of farm life—enjoying family dinners filmed with hearty laughter and home-cooked meals, gathering around late-night fires that crackle and warm against the cool night air, and rolling up your sleeves to help with daily chores.
Even had a few more run-in's with the famous bull riding man himself. He was sweet, but you couldn't help but feel at complete unease around him. Not in a bad way, but in a my heart won't stop pounding against my rib cage kind of way.
Like when he covered you in his flannel at the latest bonfire, taming the rising goosebumps along your body.
"I don't need this, y'know?"
"Sweetheart, you're cold. Just wear the damn thing."
Or when you bumped into him at one of the farmer's markets and it took no hesitation for him to grab all of your purchases out from under your arm.
"What are you doing?"
"What does it look like I'm doin?"
"Stealing my stuff"
His laugh shot butterflies right into your stomach. "You're something else, sweetheart."
You make a point to be as involved as possible, driven by the genuine desire to contribute and make a sense of responsibility.
“Should we hit up Rusty Spur’s tonight?” Abigail asks from beside you, her voice light and relaxed as she stands wrapped in a fluffy robe, freshly showered. She’s casually brushing her long, damp hair, the strands falling in soft waves around her shoulders.
“What’s Rusty Spur’s” you ask, leaning over the bathroom sink for a closer look as you apply your last coat of mascara, adding the finishing touch to your makeup.
“The bar,” she replies nonchalantly, her tone suggesting it’s a place she frequents often. “I think we need a night out.”
You glance at her through the mirror, a smile spreading across your face at the prospect of a night out.
“Yes.”
-
Rusty Spur’s was the kind of country bar that instantly feels like home, even if you’ve never been there before.
As you step inside, the scent of aged wood, spilled beer, and a hint of smoky warmth greets you. The place is packed.
The flimsy spaghetti straps of your short white dress dig into the skin of your shoulders, their delicate fabric offering little support. Despite its ethereal look, the dress feels unexpectedly snug against your skin. The soft white fabric sways with each step you take as you slip your body in between the crowds of people.
Abigail leads you to a cozy corner of the bar. Almost instantly, a bartender approaches, his familiarity with Abigail evident in the easy smile and warm greeting he offers.
You can’t help but notice just how easy on the eyes he is. He’s dressed, like almost every guy in this bar, in snug jeans and a flannel shirt with the sleeves rolled up, revealing strong forearms. His casual yet confident demeanor, coupled with the slight scruff on his beard and his easygoing smile, makes him stand out in the dimly lit bar.
Within the span of five minutes, a chilled, neck-bottled beer is placed gently into your hand. Taking in the view of the crowd, which is large but not overwhelmingly so, you scan the faces around you. As your gaze moves across the room, no one stands out as particularly familiar—until your eyes land on a table not too far away.
There, seated with a group of friends, is Charles. His presence is unmistakable. Even from a distance, he exudes a charismatic confidence, the kind that draws attention without even trying. He’s relaxed in his posture, laughing and engaging with his companions, the flannel from earlier now swapped for a casual shirt.
“Wanna dance?” Abigail chimes in your ear, her beer already half gone in the span of a minute.
-
It was almost as if Charles could feel your presence without even seeing you. The dim light of the bar cast flickering shadows. He leaned back against the worn leather of his chair, his senses heightened.
You found yourself completely immersed in the music, your body moving almost involuntary as your shoes glide smoothly across the weathered wooden floor. You’re not exactly sure when it happened, but your body eventually became pressed up against a random guy you’ve only just met on the dance floor. His presence both surprising and pleasant. He’s cute—definitely cute. His hands are gentle on your waist, guiding you through the steps with a natural rhythm.
He twirls you effortlessly around, guiding your movement with a deft touch that brings a burst of joy. As you complete the spin, you find yourself facing him once more, his eyes twinkling down at you.
With a playful flourish, he slips his cowboy hat onto your head. You can feel the subtle press of the brim against your forehead, much too big for your head. You tilt your head back and laugh, the sound a melodic blend of joy and unrestrained happiness woven into the music.
In this embrace, everything seems to align perfectly—the rhythm of the music, the warmth of the body, and the whimsical charm of the cowboy hat resting lightly atop your head.
“Do you want t-” The words began to leave the man’s lips, but they were abruptly cut off as a firm muscled arm shoved him away from your embrace. The unexpected force sent him stumbling back, surprise flashing across his face and yours.
The man recovered his footing, confusion turning into indignation as he glared at the one who interrupted. Charles. Meanwhile, you stood your ground, heart racing, caught between the thrill of the moment and unexpected clash.
If looks could kill.
“Dude, what the fuck?”
Large fingers reach for the brim of the hat atop your head, snatching it right off before Charles shoves it back into the man’s chest. “Don’t ever put a hat on her head again.”
His voice was rough and terse, cutting through the ambient noise like a blade. “Let’s go,” He says, not giving the man or you a chance to react. In an instant, his fingers snake around your wrist, pulling you away from the dance floor and into the shadows of a secluded table ticked into the corner of the bar.
The abrupt shift caught you off guard, and your heart raced as he led you through the sea of bodies. The air between you was thick with unspoken words as he tucks you between him and the edge of the table. His grip on your wrist loosens, but his proximity is too close.
“What the hell was that?” Your senses heightened as your eyes locked onto his. The usual light green of his irises, often warm and inviting, was now obscured by a much darker hue, swirling with intensity and something primal.
His gaze was pointed, sharp, and unyielding. You sensed a storm brewing behind those darkened eyes, and the air around you crackled with anticipation.
“He put his hat on you, sweetheart.” You scoff almost instantly, bubbling anger simmers in your chest as you let out a soft laugh over the situation.
“Really?” You throw your head back for a mere second as the laugh pushes past your throat. “You shoved him over a hat?”
His eyes remain narrowed, the amusement that might have danced there moments ago, no longer present. “Do you even know what that means?” He presses, his voice low and intense as he leans into your ear, the weight of his words hanging between you.
“What a hat means?” Confusion flickers across your features. The question so out of place, and yet the gravity of his tone suggests otherwise.
Before you can grasp the implications, you felt his fingers sneak their way to you, warmth and firmness splayed along your waist. The contact sent a jolt of awareness through you, igniting the tension the crackled in the air. It was a possessive gesture.
His gaze never wavers, and the connection between you deepens.
“You wear that hat; you ride that cowboy.”

Part One Two Three four
Steve’s eating a bowl of cereal, squinting in the morning light. He’s barefoot, wearing nothing but sleep shorts, and is considering going back to bed. He shouldn’t though; he has to be on time today.
Since the mall burned down, Scoops Ahoy is, annoyingly, no more. Robin thinks she has something though, some guy at Family Video who probably has the hots for her or something. Doesn’t matter though, Steve doesn’t really care what this Keith guys motivation is as long as it results in gainful employment for the both of them.
He really should shower.
Steve can see the pool from here, so he’s in a prime position to watch as Eddie pulls himself out of the water and makes his way to the back door.
This is the second time Eddie has come into the house, if you don’t count the emergency temporary over nighter in the bath tub. Well, it’s the second time Eddie has brought himself into the house, at least.
He waits patiently at the back door, like a cat waiting to be let in, and Steve opens the door for him, cereal bowl still balanced in the other hand.
He holds himself in that same way, flat of his tail curled up beneath him, giving him a little height, and he sits himself uncertainly in the middle of the kitchen floor, “hi Eddie.”
“Stee. Buddidy”
Steve gets him some celery from the bottom of the fridge and gives him the whole thing. They stand, and sit, together in comfortable silence, crunching their way through their respective breakfasts.
Steve watches as Eddie cautiously makes his way to the fridge once he’s done, looking to Steve with his his hand on the door, a question on his face, Steve nods, “yeah.”
Eddie opens the door, and Steve watches as he explores, carefully moving jars and condiments and stuff around, glass clinking quietly, before he opens the drawer at the bottom and pulls out a pear, carefully closing the drawer and door again after. He eats the whole thing, stalk, core, seeds, everything.
Steve washes up his dish, checking the time, “want to watch some TV?”
Eddie cocks his head, but follows Steve into the lounge. He sits, looking around, feeling the carpet under his hands, running his nails carefully through the pile until the TV catches his attention.
He moves closer. And then closer again, making Steve laugh when he taps a nail on the curved glass of the screen.
“I’m going to go shower, you shouldn't sit so close, it’s bad for your eyes.”
Robin does her make up in the car on the way over to Family Video, “how’s Eddie?”
“I’m fine, thanks for asking, it really means a lot to me, how much you care about my well being.”
She sighs through her nose and rolls her eyes, and Steve tuts at her.
“He came in the house this morning, I left him watching TV.”
“Huh. I mean normally I would say it’ll rot his brain but, something for him to do would be good, right?”
“Yeah. And if I’m getting a job, we should try and teach him to use the walkie’s at least. In case there’s like an emergency or something.”
“A fruit and veg related emergency.”
“Yeah, kind of. We really need to figure out what to do with him, he can’t just sit in my pool forever.”
She hums in agreement.
It’s just starting to rain when Steve gets home, the first break in the nearly two weeks of sunny weather they’ve been having.
Probably won’t be sharing a beer with Eddie tonight then. Well, Steve hasn’t really been sharing, he’s been letting Eddie steal the last third of a bottle, which isn’t really the same thing.
Eddie’s actually sitting on on the couch when Steve gets in, which surprises him momentarily. There’s an empty container on the cushion next to him, Steve figures he found the grapes.
“Hey.”
Eddie turns to see him, smiling, clearly pleased to see him, which is a nice change of pace. Sure he knows Robin loves him, but she’s never actually openly really happy to see him unless she’s, like, drunk or high. And the kids. Steve knows they must at least kind of like him, but they’re all just little shits. Having someone to come home to who is genuinely pleased to see him is a really nice change of pace.
“It just started raining.”
“Raiiniing.”
“Yeah,” Steve points at the window, “uhm, wet. Uhm. Sky wet.”
“Et.”
“Yeah.”
Eddie’s eyes widen suddenly, scrabbling off the couch in clear panic, “Et! Et!”
“Yeah Buddy, what’s wrong-”
Eddie’s frantically slithering across the lounge carpet with what is a truly amazing turn of speed considering his anatomy, “et inied! Book! NO! NO!”
“Oh, shit! Your book,” Steve hops over Eddie’s tail, making it to the door and then sprinting across the grass, grabbing the book and bringing it back.
Eddie’s sitting in the door way, hands clasped together, watching anxiously, “it’s not so bad, just a little damp.” Steve holds the book out to show him where drops of rain have speckled the pages, “it’s not bad.”
“Not bad. Good,” but he’s still frowning, clearly concerned where the paper is discolored by the water.
“Wait,” Eddie does as he’s told as Steve runs upstairs for the hair dryer, plugging it in in the lounge and sitting on the floor, Eddie joining him with the book. “Here, feel,” he turns it on, pointing it Eddie’s way.
Eddie sticks his fingers towards it, and then pulls the back, startled. Then he does it again before watching Steve dry the pages of the book, “dry. Et inied.”
“That’s right buddy.”
“Stee Edidie budidy.”
“That’s right. Yeah.”
Eddie sits next to Steve watching nervously as Steve gets the final pages dried off, and Steve hands the book back.
Eddie grins, “thanks Birdidie,” and then darts forward to press his lips to Steve’s cheek. It's just a press, not a real kiss.
“Oh,” and then Steve chuckles when he realizes what’s happened, the behavior that Eddie's seen and is now mimicking, “no. Uhm. Thank you Steve.”
Eddie cocks his head.
“Wait, wait,” Steve takes the hair dryer with him, heading up the stairs again, and this time coming back with a handful of Polaroids, he shuffles them into a neat stack, sitting next to Eddie on the floor. “Right, this is Robin. Birdie.”
“Thanks Birdidie.”
“Yeah, that’s right, that’s Birdie, now,” Steve shuffles through, “Max,” he says pointing, “and El.”
“El. Max.”
It’s thirty minutes and two pears later, but Eddie seems to be able to identify everyone reliably from their photographs, “no, Dustin.”
“Dust bin,” Eddie replies, confidently.
“You know what, sure, dust bin. Let’s go with that. Kind of suits him, actually.”
Steve’s drinking his evening beer. The weather much better again today, but the evenings are drawing in, and the sun set has almost taken Steve by surprise with how early it’s painting the sky pink. Summer’s coming to a close. Which brings some urgency to the question; what are they going to do with Eddie? The pool isn’t heated, and it usually gets drained and covered for the winter months. It’ll definitely freeze over at some point if they leave it open like this, and there’s no way Eddie could survive that, could he?
Steve doesn’t know. There’s just too much they don’t know about Eddie.
Steve’s got his first shift at Family Video tomorrow, a closing shift with the manager, Keith. Apparently he wants to show Steve the ropes when it comes to shutting down the store; Steve figures just from that that he’s going to be stuck with more than his fair share of late shifts.
He wonders if Eddie’s going to miss his evening beer. He really should teach Eddie to use a walkie. Tomorrow, he decides, will be as good a time as any. Tomorrow morning, and then Steve can leave one with Eddie and take one to work with him.
At least he knows Eddie can get into the house if he really has to, if he gets hungry or whatever. He really could do with some sort of cover out here though. Some where to leave his book in case of the rain. Maybe put a couple of towels in there, some food in the cool box when Steve’s out, the walkie, that sort of stuff.
Eddie swims over, pushing his floating toy bucket along ahead of him in the water. There are things in it tonight, which is a first. Eddie puts his bucket on the side of the pool before pulling himself out to sit beside Steve.
He pulls something out of his bucket to show to Steve, “oh, it’s a pine cone. Hold on.” Steve puts his beer down to grab the encyclopedia, and Eddie duly swipes it. Steve flicks through the book wile Eddie sips the beer, “look, this is a tree.”
“Tee.”
“Tree.”
“Trrreeee.”
“Yeah, it’s a seed for a tree,” Steve shows Eddie the series of pictures, how the seed underground grows a little shoot that grows, eventually, into a tree.
Eddie fetches something else from his bucket, showing Steve, “trree?”
“Leaf,” Steve points at the leaf in Eddie’s hand, then, “tree,” as he points to the tree line at the bottom edge of the yard.
Eddie’s frowning at the page in the book, but he does nod, so Steve doesn’t push it any further.
“Steve do you know how early it is.”
“I know, but I don’t care, do you still have that tent you were playing around with last summer?”
“Camping, Steve, I went camping with-what do you want it for, anyway?”
“It’s for Eddie.”
“Oh, yeah,” Dustin’s tone changes to immediately helpful, “yeah, do you want to come and get it? I’m pretty sure I still have it-MAAAAA! MAAAAAAA DO YOU KNOW-”
Steve pulls the receiver away from his head while Dustin's hollering at his poor mother.
“Yeah, we know where it is, you coming now?”
Eddie’s holding a piece of plastic tubing, looking concerned, and watching Steve struggle with the worlds smallest two man tent, “it’s okay, I got this.”
Eddie tilts his head one way and then the other, like a curious bird, as Steve struggles. It takes a couple of failed attempts, not helped by the fact that Dustin couldn’t find the instructions, but it doesn’t take that long before the tent is ready. Steve sets it on the grass, the doorway edge butted up against the tiles that surround the pool edge. Steve fixes the guy ropes using metal tent pegs driven into the lawn. It’s not hugely spacious inside, just big enough to accommodate two medium sized dudes when lying down, just as long as those two medium sized dudes are super comfortable with each other, then it’s fine.
Steve goes backward and forward, lining the bottom with a couple of sleeping mats he also borrowed from Dustin, and then putting in a couple of towels, Eddie’s book, and rescuing the Rubik's cube and slinkie from where they've lain, ignored, on the side of the pool, “there, what do you think?”
Eddie moves closer, cautiously looking inside before looking back to Steve, “yeah, good. Go in, it's okay,” Steve nods and smiles and generally tries to be encouraging.
Eddie goes inside before turning to look out, sitting on his tail.
Steve sits in the doorway, “it’ll keep your book dry.”
Eddie ponders that a moment, touching his book, before looking up. He carefully touches the inside of the tent roof, “et inied?”
“Yeah buddy, that’s right. Good.”

( SPOOKTOBER ) monster ! 🎞️ 一 니키 ՞
𝓟 airings. yandere-vampire!ni-ki x fem!reader wc. 2.3k
🕸️◞ WARNINGS. murder, kidnapping, biting, turning, blood drinking
「 ♱ authors note 」 my first ni-ki fic for day 8 !! still not smut though , but you can enjoy it i hope ...
“how long has it been?” rei asked as you walked down the hallways of your school. “a month.” you said. “you know if you still need it you can come over to the coven , yujin is good at protection spells, im sure she could help you.”
“no , it's fine.” you said, you were sure she was just worried about you, in a town full of supernaturals and being one of the few humans, she constantly worried; especially since ni-ki had been silent for a month. ni-ki was a vampire, in fact he was from a powerful vampire family, and he was also your ex boyfriend. “im sure he just realized that it was actually over this time.”
“you really believe that?” rei a young witch you managed to be friend said. “this being the same ni-ki who stalked you for months after you broke up with him the first time? or the same ni-ki who showed up to your house everyday after you broke up with him the second and third.” she listed. “or is this the same ni-ki who— i got it rei, i really do.” you interrupted. “im just saying, you're new to the supernatural world and all , and you don't know how powerful those brothers are truly.” she grabbed your hand. “how powerful and dangerous they really are.”
you sure she was just spooked, ni-ki was a bit overbearing and he had a bit of anger problem; and you did hear rumors about his family— but he always promised you that's what they were; rumors. you never believed who would truly cause you any harm. “yn?”
you and rei spun around hearing your name. “yes?” you recognized the boy as harua; a werewolf boy from your class. “i was looking for you.” he said, chewing on his bottom lip nervously. “is there something wrong?” you asked. “y-yeah- i-i mean no-no nothing is wrong, i was looking for you because i have a question.”
you turned to rei who just smiled. “i’ll go wait over there.” she walked away leaving you both. “what is it?” he scratched the back of his head. “we-well i was wondering if you'd like to study with me sometime? i-i know this good café, they have both human and supernatural foods, because i-i know you're human and you don't eat supernatural foods of course.” he rambled. sure. you stopped in the middle of his rant. “i would love to.”
“really?!” he smiled, his fangs prominent; his ears wagging. “we can go tomorrow.” he said. “that works fine! you beamed. we can go after school.” he nodded. “great! i'll see you tomorrow.” he waved, running away. you laughed watching him meet up with his pack. “he's cute.” rei said; waiting for you to walk over to her. “we're studying at a cafe tomorrow.” she cheered. “good, you need to get forget of that rotten vampire.” you shook your head. “what? just cause you fail to believe he's not as bad, i've known him and his family way longer, i know how they are.” she said. “how dangerous and scary they are.” you shrugged. “look he's gone , let's just forget him.” you said, she nodded. “let's just hope he stays gone.”
if only it was that easy; because if you'd only look across the street, instead of talking to harua; or joking with rei— you'd notice the red angry eyes lurking in the trees; the eyes of the boy you swore was gone for a month.
“fuck!” ni-ki smashed the glass vase onto the floor; his brothers watched him break everything in the vicinity of their mansion. he stayed away from you with the end game of crawling back to him; not you falling straight into the filthy wolves hands. “i told you to bite her.” heeseung said , jay snapping his fingers, ordering one of the human maids to clean up the mess. “had you listened, you would be smashing the very expensive furniture.”
“that filthy fucking wolf im gonna kill him and that witch too , im gonna kill them all!” he shouted ready to smash another vase, sunghoon stopping him. “do you want her?” he said. “of course i do.” he said , that's all he ever wanted. “then she's yours , but you know what you have to do.” ni-ki nodded. “fine.” his brothers all stood up. “i say we get rid of that little wolf though.” jungwon smirked. “just for the fun of it , it's been a long time since we've had some fun with those wolves.”
he was gonna get you back, and make you his , and get rid of that wolf— permanently.
you made your way through the halls of the school; opening the locker only for it to be slammed , making you jump. “rei what the hell!” you shrieked. “me what the hell? you honestly have the nerve, i've been calling and texting you since this morning.” she sounded stressed. what's wrong? you asked. “i thought it wasn't that big of a deal.”
“i've told you to answer your phone when I call, lord, i'm gonna put a spell on it.” she said. “not the point, it's that werewolf you were talking to.” she said. “he went missing last night, while hunting with his pack.” she explained, your heart dropped. “well his pack can find him right? don't they have like scent?” she looked sad. “what rei, fucking spit it out!” you shouted.
“he's dead yn.” she confessed, “they found them on their steps the next morning, his throat was ripped out yn.” she said , you took a step back in shock. “what?” she tried to comfort you, but you could tell it was something else. “what is it?” you said. “there's only one family in this town who rips the throats out of people yn.” she said. “it's ni-ki."
“maybe you should go home.” rei said; the wolves hadn't come to school that day, and she'd been pressuring you to go home. “it's not safe here for you.” you flagged her off. “the wolves and the vampires have been at it for a long time , maybe it's just that , why would he bother me after a month, and kill harua, yesterday was my firs…” you trailed off; everything falling into place. “you understand now, he's been watching you , you aren't safe yn.”
she insisted on walking you home; but you told her if what she was saying was true and he really was following you; then she wasn't safe either, and that she should get back to her coven because that's where she was the safest right now. “are your parents home?”
“no rei , you know they aren't, they're abroad working.” you said dropping your bag on the floor. “how could they leave you , and at a time like this.” she stressed. “look im sure before we moved in they got a witch to put a protection spell around the house , it's fine , im home safe; it's friday so i don't really have to worry about me leaving.” you reassured the young witch. “im fine , and don't send your familiar , i know what it looks like.”
you hung up, sitting your phone on the counter, opening the fridge door; closing it after grabbing a water— that's when it hit you; it was quiet. too quiet.
“maeve?” you called out for your cat. “maeve where are you babygirl?” you began your walk up the steps to your room, calling out for the orange cat , who would've made some sort of noise by now. okay. you pushed the door to your room open , the cat emerging from under your bed. “you scared me baby.” you bent down , petting the animal. “why didn't you answer me when i called you, you had mommy worried.” you stood up , smiling down at your baby, unaware of the presence behind you. “you are cute.”
“i see why ni-ki wants you.” you turned around; before you could even let out a scream— the person's hand was already around your mouth , before everything went dark.
when you finally awoke; everything was blurry , the room dark besides the lamp on the side of the bed in the huge room. “mmm; what?” you groaned , trying to rub your eyes; but one of your hands was bound to the headboard. “what the hell?” you began to panic. “no no this can't be happening!” realizing one of your hands were free , you quickly untied your hand , and your legs; climbing off the bed , running towards the door. “help!” you banged on the locked door. “please help!” you cried. “no one's gonna hear you.”
you froze hearing the voice. “well one that's willing to help you.” slowly turning around , facing the person you haven't seen in a long time, the last person you wanted to see. “n-ni-ki?” you stuttered out. “what the hell is this?” he stood up. “i gave you so many chances to come back to me and you didn't.” he said , getting closer. “instead you throw yourself at that filthy fucking wolf.” he was close enough you could see the anger in his eyes. “you killed him? didn't you.”
“you're a monster!” you shouted , he banged on the door behind you. “am i?” he laughed. “that wolf had it coming, this is your fault.” he said, grabbing your shoulders. “i should've killed that fucking witch too and if you keep talking back , i may just keep my word.” you pushed him back, he hit his back on the dresser. “help me!” you banged on the door. “please help!” you sobbed , feeling his arms around your waist as he dragged you back from the door. “no stop!”
“should've done this a while ago.” he said , moving your hair to the side; he could hear the blood pumping through your veins , smell your scent of vanilla and lavender. “pl-please my family.” you begged. “i don't want to die please , i won't tell anyone that you killed harua.” he laughed like a psycho. “that filthy wolf?everyone knows we killed him love , there's no secret about that , besides this isn't about him , it's about us.” he said. “me and you forever.”
he was gonna bite you. “please, I don't want to be bitten.” you didn't want to outlive your parents, watch all your friends die and you surely didn't want to spend eternity with ni-ki. “please.” you tried to break away , kicking and screaming. “no!”
before you could scream again; you felt it, the sharpness of his fangs , piercing your skin , you screamed in pain as you felt the venom enter your bloodstream. ni-ki felt your body slowly go limp , until he was the only thing holding you up. he tossed you back on the bed , leaving out of the room , wiping the blood from his lips; two maids waiting for him outside. “don't bother her until she wakes back up , she'll be hungry.” he said. “one of you is probably gonna die.”
you woke up a few hours later; feeling like all the life force had been sucked out of your body— that's because basically it was; your body felt cold; you could smell everything and hear everything, your head was pounding. “help me.” you said weakly, please.
the door opened; you weakly looked up. “ni-ki please let me go.” you said , trying to sit up. “you're hungry.” he said walking into the room. “im not hungry, i want to to leave.” you said. “and do what , the first person you see you'll kill them , rip their throat clean off , now do you want to be your parents or rei or an innocent civilian?” he asked. “face it , im the only person that can help you now.” he said. “like always , where have your parents been , they're hardly home , you think rei will be here for you now? come on the little witch is scared of vampires.”
he snapped his fingers and a woman came in; a scared women. “i can help you.” he grabbed the woman by the neck , she flinched, panicking. “ni-ki no.” he didn't even flinch as he sliced her neck with the sharp ring he always wore. “drink.” you shook your head. “no.” he brought the bleeding lady close to you , the gargling from her mouth would haunt you forever , but the scent coming from her blood sent your senses into overdrive , your mouth watering. “she's dying already , and you will to if you don't drink.”
“let me die then.” he grew angry once again. “i'm trying to be nice , but you're pissing me off.” he grabbed the back of your neck , you were too weak to fight back. “drink it , if she dies, the blood is no good , i get a new body , it won't be a maid , it'll be rei , now drink!” you whimpered as he pushed the body to you. “now.”
your lips ghosted the poor maids neck , you got a little taste of the blood , something taking over , your teeth latching onto her neck , her blood entering your mouth. “good good , keep drinking.” the warm blood going down your throat , filling your stomach , along with the salty tears pouring down your face. once you got the strength you pushed the body away , coughing as blood dripped down your mouth. “see?” he said , the body lifeless , dropping to the floor. “only i can help you now.”
he ordered someone to come get rid of the bodies , two boys coming to pick it up. “next time go pick someone up , you guys can't keep killing the maids , jake already killed two when he turned his.” he rolled his eyes , walking out of the room. “that's my brother's , once you're fully ready you can meet them.” he said. “for now you stay here.”
“i want to go home.” you said. “my family will know i'm missing, rei will know i'm missing.” you said; he couldn't just keep you here. “well things can be arranged with your family , and rei; that annoying little witch.” he growled. “if he knows what's good for her , she'll drop it.”
this was it; this was your new normal, stuck here , drinking blood; you were never gonna die, never see your family. “no , i won't let you keep me here.” he smirked. “i know baby , i knew you were gonna fight me on this at first.” his eyes darkened, making you gulp
“you'll soon learn how things work , even if i have to kill everyone you love.”

Hotch with a totally shy medical examiner!!! He always visits her although sometimes it would‘nt be necessary ... 🫣🫣 Hotch got a crushhhhhh !!
The team notices that Hotch seems to be injuring himself more and more now that Quantico has a medical wing installed. Because of a rather unfortunate incident on floor 4, where a woman had an allergic reaction and no one was able to find her an epipen in time, there's now a mini-clinic located just across the elevators on floor 5.
Hotch doesn't even bother notifying his team of where he's going this time. He simply barrels towards the glass doors that shield the BAU from the hallway outside, but JJ doesn't let him escape that easily.
"Hotch, is everything okay?"
She expects him to say that there's been some sort of emergency at Jack's school, that he needs to pick the boy up. But she shouldn't, she should have expected what must be the most frequent phrase out of his mouth in the past three weeks.
"Fine. I've got a headache, I'm going to the clinic."
He offers no room for his team's replies as he pushes through the glass doors, standing by the elevators and waiting impatiently. His gaze is so intense on the metal doors that he's surprised he doesn't burn right through them, but the elevator finally reaches him, and he steps inside without looking back into the BAU to see his team members staring.
"He's so full of shit," Derek scoffs, "He doesn't have a headache."
"I think he's got a perpetual headache," Reid muses, and Rossi, who'd been working on stirring his third cup of coffee for the day pipes up.
"I would, if I had to manage you bozos all day," The man grins wryly, but doesn't exclude himself from the conversation; for all his teasing, he wants to gossip about Hotch too.
"Nah. He just wants to see the hot nurse," Derek insists, "I've seen her. She's cute, and all, but she's no Savannah."
"Maybe I should have a headache later," Emily muses, lost in thought and toying with the necklace resting on her chest.
"He's gonna have to start finding new excuses," Derek leans back in his chair, one leg crossed over the other with his ankle against his knee, "Maybe he'll ask one of us to shoot him just so he can get her hands all over him packing up the bullet hole."
"And that is my cue to leave," Rossi grimaces, "I don't often like mixing sex with wound care."
The older man pointedly ignores Derek's comment about how that's probably why he's thrice divorced; he's not freaky enough. He shuts his office door behind him and conversation putters out among the bullpen, each agent stuck with a residual smirk on their faces as they get back to their paperwork.
--
"Agent Hotchner," You smile kindly up at the man who steps through the doors of your clinic, "I'm not sure why I even looked up, I should have known it was you."
He chuckles bashfully, hands tucked into his pockets, "I haven't been getting much sleep lately, so I've got a pretty persistent migraine."
"Is it hard, sleeping after a day at your job? The things you see," You trail off, reaching into a drawer at your desk to retrieve a bottle of excedrin, "I don't think I'd be sleeping either."
Aaron's suddenly flustered by your concern for him. He'd intended for his poorly crafted excuse to come across as light insomnia, too much coffee during the day or a scary movie at night. But as you reach out to hand over two tablets of medicine, he meets your eyes with a fond gaze.
"I'm alright," He assures you, his voice soft and earnest. He touches you more than necessary, taking your loose fist in his hand and uncurling your fingers for you so that the excedrin falls into his other palm bumped up against the heel of your hand.
You're surprised your hand doesn't start sweating at how flustered you've become, but you're glad for it. He secures the medicine in his fist, his hand still humming with the ghost of your touch.
"Sleep tonight," You warn him with a slightly weak voice, watching as he downs the pills with a gulp of water from a delicate paper cup stored by your sink, "Get off of any electronic devices for an hour before bed, read something boring, and keep the lights dim. And if none of that works, take sleeping pills, I can give you Tylenol PM if you don't have any at home."
"I'd love some," He smiles, lingering by the edge of your desk, "Thank you, Doctor."
"You can call me Y/N," You avert your eyes to your desk drawer, your voice feeble, "We see each other every day, you ought to be more familiar with me than that."
He chuckles, a soft exhale that sends butterflies with it into your stomach. You offer him the pills and again he takes your hand in his own, only making the fiery heat that burns at your cheeks more intense.
"Thank you. And you can call me Aaron," He takes the pulls from you, tucking them into the breast pocket of his button-up.
"Goodbye, Aaron," You grin, barely able to stop the expression from growing an embarrassing amount.
"Bye Y/N," He smiles back, eyes glimmering with fondness, "See you next time."

Leah being annoying bf when they go swimming together. Pestering r to go in the water, wanting to cuddle on a lounger, untying r’s bikini top etc
topless II l.williamson
"rise and shine gorgeous!" you stirred as a body settled itself on top of you, sighing tiredly and covering your face with your hands. "no no no, none of that now." leah tutted, interlocking fingers with yours and pinning your hands by your head.
"since when are you a morning person? if you've decided to suddenly become one i might just need to break up with you." you grumbled, eyes cracking open still thick with sleep. "oh baby i love you too." leah cooed, kissing both of your cheeks with a grin.
"but no, i'm just in holiday mode. plus there's an all you can eat breakfast calling us, so up!" leah ordered, letting go of your hands and clapping, sitting on top of you above the covers. "you go enjoy. my holiday mode is a sleep in." you mumbled, patting her thigh.
"we sleep in at home all the time babe! get up, get up, get up, get up, get up-" leah repeated over and over, poking you as you whined and tried to throw her off. "leah!" you groaned, squealing as her bony fingers dug into your ribs.
"fine! i'm getting up." you huffed, giving your girlfriend a shove and sending her tumbling down to the bed. "leah! oh my god." you huffed as you tried to get up like she asked only for the blonde to grab you and pull you right back down.
"forgetting something?" leah grinned, hovering just over you with raised eyebrows. "mm finding a girlfriend whose not really annoying?" you gasped sarcastically as the defender narrowed her eyes, whatever comeback she had in mind silenced by the good morning kiss you knew she was after.
"now shift it because if we miss out on the pancakes since you're dragging your feet babe i will drown you in the pool later."
~
"baby we just got back from the beach! its the perfect time for a midday nap not another swim." you sighed as leah held firmly onto your hand, restricting you from pulling away toward the elevators.
"you can have a nap by the pool babe. order some food, have a couple drinks, work on your tan." leah smiled charmingly, swinging your interlocked hands to and fro as you gave in with a sigh, allowing her to drag you through the lobby toward the pool.
you sighed in relief seeing there was only a few other people littered around. it seemed everyone was overly friendly at this resort which leah had whisked you away to for the weekend and your two year anniversary, and every person you or leah bumped into was determined to engage you in some sort of long winded small talk.
you rolled your eyes as leah wasted no time diving right into the pool, setting your bag down and flicking out your towel, settling into the lounger with a content sigh as the sun bathed your back.
you were rewarded with ten minutes of peace before you heard the sounds of leah pulling herself out and padding over toward you. "leah i swear to god if you lay on me we're not having sex for the rest of this holiday." you warned seriously.
"so grumpy." your girlfriend chuckled, collapsing down onto the lounger beside you with a content sigh. "leah!" you huffed as the stole your drink, chugging the last of it and placing the empty glass back down on the table between you.
"what? i was thirsty." the blonde grinned as you sent her a glare and rolled onto your back, flicking your sunglasses down over your eyes. again you were rewarded with around ten minutes of peace before the sighs started.
the first one was subtle, just a small exhale that you ignored. the second one was a little louder, clearly intended for you to react in which you did not give leah the satisfaction. the third was more of a groan, and growing tired of her games you pushed your glasses up and cracked one eye open.
"what?" you now sighed, your girlfriend propping herself up on one arm and staring right back at you. "i'm bored!" leah complained with a frown as you rolled your eyes.
"you wanted to come to the pool baby, go play marco polo with yourself or something." you dismissed with a wave closing your eyes again. "thats not even possible!" leah whined as again you waved her off.
"go swim some laps then." "or you could come swim with me." "or you could just...swim alone." "but we're on holidays together."
"leah! just go for a swim, read a book, take a walk on the beach, anything." you groaned out, annoyed at the back and forth. "by myself?" leah scoffed in disbelief sitting up and staring down at you.
"yes love, by yourself." you confirmed, unwavering as leah huffed and you cracked an eye open watching her bikini clad body wander off. "not too far!" you yelled out after her, hearing her mock you and fling her arms up in the air.
this time it would seem the walk worked as you were rewarded with nearly a half an hour of time to yourself, flipping every few minutes and soaking up the sun you knew would be sorely missed once you both returned to london.
laid out on your stomach you became aware she'd returned when a body pressed itself against your back. "you're all wet, leah!" you groaned out tiredly, smacking her shoulder halfheartedly as her lips kissed the back of your neck.
"no thats sweat darling." the blonde grinned against your skin as you whined louder trying to shake her off without any luck.
"leah!" you hissed as she tugged on the tie of your bikini causing it to fall open. "oh my fingers slipped, what a shame." the defender smirked as you turned your head to glare up at her, messily tying it back up.
"whoops!" once again the knot was tugged free as your girlfriend pressed herself down on top of you. "you know they go topless in spain anyway gorgeous? i'm just trying to immerse you in the culture so you get the full experience!" the blonde teased, hands inching around under your stomach.
"you are literally so annoying." you sighed deeply in defeat, feeling her shift to sit up on the back of your thighs with a quiet chuckle.
"oh actually that's quite nice." you relaxed feeling her calloused hands start to massage your shoulders. "still annoying now?" your girlfriend sang out smugly as you only hummed, grateful she had found something to occupy herself which for once benefited you.
"leah." you warned quietly as her hands began to move lower, snapping the waistband of your bikini bottoms. thankfully before anything further could ensue the food you'd ordered earlier arrived and your girlfriend moved off of you allowing you to sit up, hastily tying your bikini top back up in the process.
"really?" you raised an eyebrow in amusement as she took the opportunity to slide in behind you, patting the vacant space between her legs with a grin.
with a shake of your head you settled yourself against her chest, the two of you making plans for your last day tomorrow as you pretended not to notice her stealing some of your fries every few minutes.
"so you're now tanned, you're watered, you're fed..." leah trailed off, lips peppering soft kisses down your shoulder blades as you hummed. "mm i wonder what you want in exchange?" you pondered, her hands wandering.
"oh nothing nothing, just to help you relax even more baby girl." the blonde smiled against your skin as her teeth tugged at your ear lobe teasingly. "mm i just ate a burger and like a kilo of fries lee, you're gonna have to wait awhile before you get your happy ending." you craned your head back and smile up at her.
"okay well in the meantime i guess we have to find some way to occupy ourselves don't we?" you barely had a moment to register her words before your body was hauled off the lounger and within seconds you were engulfed in a body of cold water.
kicking your way up to the surface you coughed and spluttered as water went up your nose, wincing as leahs head popped up and spat water in your face like she was a fountain with a cheeky smile.
letting out a cry you lunged for her, getting your hands on her shoulders and legs around her waist as you dunked her head under the water a few times before she pushed you off and spun around, pulling you into her with a wolfish grin
"what? you looked hot!"

Right around the corner - Azriel (5)
AHHHHH this is the final part and let me tell you I'm SAD. It was so hard to write the ending you all deserve after all this love, so I tried my best. Let me know what you think! Also, you deserve A LOT, so I made it long hehehe. Don't worry, a request about the RATH universe is coming soon! If you want one too, drop it in my inbox!
(1), (2), (3), (4)
Plot: The story of how Azriel fixed what was broken, and how you forgave him.
Warnings: this is sad, but has a happy ending! Also, mental health issues.
No one expected the sidra to froze that year, and against everyone expectation, one day Velaris had woken up to see the riven covered by a silver layer. Children had missed school to skate in the solid surface, parents watching carefully from the edge. Some couples were skating too, holding hands and giggling endlessly.
You had been watching the new scene unfold all morning. And while you usually loved snow and ice as much as any child in town, you were starting to get a little sick of all the noise.
It wasn’t your new employee situation, who had been staring at the river all morning. She had already finished her duties, but always the polite and nice girl, Elain Archeron was keeping you company.
When you spotted for the third time the familiar red-head through the glass and she didn’t say anything, just sighed, you decided you had enough.
“You should tell him to get in before he freezes to death” you commented, still busy with measuring the ingredients.
“Oh, no” Elain blushed and looked away from the window. “No. He’s just… He can wait”
“He can, but doesn’t have to. You and Lucien should head out, rent ice skates and have a fun day. You already finished here” you smiled kindly at her, and before she could reply, you added. “I’m fine, I don’t even like cold weather. And I still need to finish this, which you can’t help me with. So, go”
Elain stared at you with uncertainty, and you tried to look as convinced as possible. Would you have liked her to stay? After all, she was one of the few people you socialized with these days. She had turned in when you opened the bakery again, right after you posted the sign about looking for a new partner.
And even if you had had your doubts when you discovered she was Feyre’s sister and Azriel’s friend, you considered her your own friend.
So, yeah, you would have liked her to stay. Because you were still awfully sad all the time, and her company was one of the few things that made your day better. But you being sad didn’t excuse her missing a wonderful day with her mate.
“It’s not closing time yet” her eyes danced between the glass and you. “He was supposed to wait for me at the house”
“Guess he’s too eager to see you. He’s been dancing around the bakery for a good hour” you chuckled. “Elain, I mean it. Go. Have fun. I’ll see you on Monday”
“Y/N, I promise I don’t mind waiting. It’s not like it will unfreeze”
“And I promise I don’t mind at all. So, go, have fun and tell me about it on Monday” you gripped her hand softly over the counter, nodding to the waiting mal outside. “Come on, go”
Lucien was once more outside the bakery, the only visible part of him his red hair. He was covered in thick layers, but still managed to smile when Elain kissed your cheek and took her coat on the way out.
You didn’t have it in you to watch them be affectionate with each other, so you looked down at your task and decided it would be the last of the day.
It was hard watching all those couples walking hand in hand and remembering the feel of his warm, scarred hand in yours. To hear a man laughing and remember the unexpected laughs you dragged out of him sometimes. Even looking at the river was painful, because you could almost see the ghost of Azriel and you learning how to skate in a frozen lake in the Illyrian mountains a few years ago.
You had seen Azriel around a few times now, walking through your bakery and waving at you through the glass. Two times he had been waiting at the door when it was late at night, silently walking you home from afar without talking. Almost two months had passed by and your feelings were still as messed up as before.
Though you didn’t cry as much as before, and you were starting to get better, you still wondered.
If Azriel getting help would mean your relationship would be fixed, or if it was broken permanently. Deep in your thoughts, and used as you were to Azriel’s shadows, you didn’t notice how they tugged on your apron until the door sounded again.
Elain’s name didn’t leave your lips, because as soon as the door opened, you lost your breath. As if you had summoned him, Azriel walked through the door, beautiful as ever. He wasn’t in his usual training leather, but winter clothes that fit him as a glove. Instantly, you noticed he had lost weight. His shoulders were slumped and his body didn’t carry the usual grace of an Illyrian warrior.
“Hi”
His scarred hands, that had held you so many times and slaughtered so many enemies, were tucked in his coat’s pockets. You could feel the nervousness through the bond, the hesitance. Too stunned to answer, you only stared at him.
You had known that, eventually, he would talk to you. That you would have to do more than just wave at each other through the glass and stay silent when he sent you details through Elain. But still, you hadn’t expected it.
Unable to move, you only blinked.
“I saw Elain and Lucien heading out” he added, not looking away from you. “It’s a nice day outside”
Azriel hadn’t finished before one of his new shadows scaped his control, sneaking around the counter. The familiar ones, that had been by your side since he left, danced around the new intrusion. It lifted your apron, and crawled up your neck.
The cool feeling was the last of your worries, because no matter how much you willed yourself to say something, you couldn’t even tear your eyes from him.
The bond flickered between the two of you, once more. Knowing that it was one-sided, that he didn’t wear it like you did, made break your trance.
“She’s finished for the day” you explained, sounding way more confident that what you felt.
“It’s a nice day, yeah” he repeated, not giving you time to feel awkward before he continued “I thought that maybe you wanted to take a walk with me. It’s cold, but we could… get coffee. Or chocolate, if you want”
Azriel gave you a half, broken smile. Hearing his voice again made you take ten steps backward.
“I have things to do”
You looked down to your current task, which could be easily discarded. You had left much important things half-done because of him, and you would have done it normally without a second thoughts. But no matter how heartful the conversation at your door had been, you just knew you weren’t ready to have a conversation without getting angry.
You knew you weren’t ready to forgive him.
His new shadow gripped your wrist tightly before disappearing, and you heard Azriel’s doubt. He wanted to say something else, and you wanted too. Still, you fell back to your measuring and ignored the way your vision blurred, how your knees became weak again.
Maybe going back to your duties was the only way not to break down again.
The silence continued for a long minute. You couldn’t not feel his presence, the way his scent filled the bakery and made your stomach turn. Your heart recognized what you needed, what you wanted, and threatened to jump out of your chest.
Before you could regret your words, Azriel opened the door again.
“You’re forgetting the yeast” he said, his voice thick with emotion.
When you looked up again, he only smiled. You opened your mouth to tell him to wait, maybe to fuck off and never come again. You didn’t have time, because Azriel closed the door behind him and he was gone.
The first tear fell against the unformed dough, followed by many more. You wouldn’t be finishing the blueberry cake that afternoon, you realized, as you crunched behind the counter and cried.
-
There was a storm coming, and everyone in Velaris had had the same idea – run to the market, buy everything they needed for a few days, and crowd themselves at home with their loved ones. You were trying to follow the first part of the plan, not having anyone to go home anymore. And if that wasn’t enough reason to drag you down, the crowd was getting intense.
Velaris’ market was a beautiful place, full of shops and nice vendors. But that day, the space felt too small.
You already had a few bags with you, yet there were a few more to go. Wanting to finish as soon as possible, you had ignored the rational part of your brain and had gotten in the middle of the crowd. You had only managed to buy milk and pasta, and still had a long way to go.
After Azriel’s brief appearance, your life had been messier than before. He had come by the bakery at least five times more, always offering you some kind of plan you rejected. Going to the park, for a flight or to a coffee shop. Taking walks, watching the sunset or training together.
You lived now half-prepared to see him walking through your door again, and not having the heart to tell him no. You weren’t sure if that thought frightened or comforted you.
In your haste, you had almost forgotten to buy provisions for the storm, and had found yourself on the worst day to do them. Crowded, loud and suffocating, that was how you would describe the market at that moment.
The fact that most people ran with their children and family wasn’t helpful at all.
Most of the times, it was Azriel who did the last-minute shopping for you. He knew you didn’t like crowds, loud places, that you did best in your bakery where only five people were allowed at a time.
Another shove broke you down from your daydreaming, and you looked back to see a pregnant woman staring with her eyebrows furrowed.
“The line is moving” she spatted, pointing to the small space ahead of you. “If you don’t move with it, you should step out”
“Oh, no” you chuckled softly. You picked up the bags on the ground and took the two small steps that you were supposed to. “Sorry, I just thought I could take a little bit more space. It’s crowded here”
“I don’t mind crowds, so if you want to step back, let me get first. I’m in a hurry”
“Me too” you gave her a polite smile, mindful of her state.
The short distance that separated you from the customer on the front was certainly not enough, and she knew it. Still, she looked at you with disapproval. There were only five more people to go until it was your turn, you could buy your snacks and run to the next stall.
You thought you could ignore the glare at the back of your neck, and you did for a few minutes. Without meaning to, you thought how everything with Azriel was easier. Not only people wouldn’t dare to talk to him like that, but also, he assured you a good meter of distance between you two and the rest of the world with his wings.
The snacks on your hands almost fell when, not even two seconds after the man took three steps forward, you were shoved again.
That time, when you looked back, the woman was accompanied by her mate. His wings covered her from the people behind them.
“You should really step out of the line” she repeated. “You might have all the time in the word, but we are in a hurry”
“Me too. You can’t expect me to be glued to that man” you tried to explain, anxiety coiling in your stomach. “He just moved”
“And you didn’t, which proves my point. Besides, it’s obvious you only have a few things. We have more”
“Which should be enough reason to let me go first, not only because I was here before you” you shrugged, feeling even more uncomfortable when the male huffed a laugh. “Maybe it’s you who shouldn’t have come here today if you can’t wait in a line”
You weren’t a threat for the woman, and you were trying really hard to be polite and prove your point. Besides, being pregnant wasn’t an easy task, and you could tell she was far along. Maybe you should have let her pass, or maybe told her to fuck off.
But before you could argue further, something clicked in the male’s eyes, wide with recognition.
And you would have preferred for him to go full berserk mode on you. Because you recognized that look, you had been receiving them for a while now.
The male elbowed the woman’s side softly, pointing with his chin towards you. You didn’t have time to turn back and avoid the conversation, because he spoke.
“You’re the shadowsinger’s mate” he announced, loud enough to make a few heads turn.
“Oh” the woman finally connected the dots and lunged forward to grab your arm so tight you couldn’t shake her off. “I’m so sorry. I’m sorry, I didn’t recognize you”
“It’s fine. Don’t worry” you pushed your arm back, trying to let go.
While the woman apologized, you couldn’t help but listen to the whispers. The same ones you had heard in your bakery and through the streets. Some of them thrown in your face by rude or nosy customers that didn’t understand the concept of privacy, others by bystanders.
At the end, it was the woman who said it out loud, confirming what everyone in the small circle that had formed at the cue was wondering about. She finally let go of your arm and crossed hers in front of her body.
The look of pity wasn’t as bad as the confirmation.
“He rejected you, right?” it wasn’t a question, not when you didn’t answer and she continued. “We heard you’ve been mated for almost a century and he doesn’t want the bond. Is that true?”
It wasn’t true, but you didn’t have the heart to correct her. Instead, you turned around and used your wing-less privileges to sneak through the crowd. You kept your head down, as if that could stop you from hearing the comments or feeling the stares.
People had come up with an alternative version where Azriel and you had been mated for decades, for centuries. Where you had cheated on him or he had changed you for someone else. You had even heard that he had bonded with another person and had kicked you out of the house, and that you had been the one rejecting the bond.
Each version was farthest from the truth than the last one, but they all hurt the same. The crowd didn’t seem to get thinner no matter how deep you got in the market. Once the people who had heard the conversation were left behind, new people crowded you, worried about the girl panicking and running through the middle of the market.
There were a few occasions where you thought you would fall, where you tripped and almost embarrassed yourself farther. You had almost made it to the back entrance of the market when you finally realized you were tripping no more. There was no longer a crowd around you, nor whispers or hands reaching your way.
It took you another few steps to fully stop and assess the situation. When you looked back to see where the crowd was, you were met with a broad chest inches away from you. Through tearful eyes, you recognized Azriel’s wings tucking you away from people, his mere presence pushing them away.
You met his hazel eyes, full of worry and regret. His hair was longer, covering his brow, but you found comfort in his crooked nose, in his freckles, that you knew so well.
You noticed in his hands your bags that had been left in the stall, a new one with the snacks you were about to buy.
“What – what are you doing here?” you choked out, too grateful for the sudden moment of peace to wonder about anything else.
“I felt you through the bond, a few hours ago. Anxious and…” he stopped himself, his eyes scanning every tear that marked your cheeks. “I was just getting here when it got worse. I heard most of it. I’m –”
“Don’t say you’re sorry” you interrupted him. “It’s not your fault”
Out of the many things that were indeed his fault, people not minding their own business wasn’t his. You were used to him blaming himself for everything, from wars in other courts to people fighting in the street. The response came naturally.
Your nose was cold and runny, your hands frozen in your pockets, and your feet hurt. Besides all of that, you felt all wrong. Because you enjoyed his presence, because what they said, and because you couldn’t help but calm down when he was close.
Azriel didn’t say anything when you took the bags from his hands, thanking him quietly. He didn’t say anything as more people walked away from him, either because of his wings or because they recognized him.
“You don’t like last minute shopping”
It was a pointless observation, but it was better than to comment on how afraid he had been when, just outside the market, he felt the bond snap with urgence. His shadows knew where you were, and that you needed him, but even he had trouble running through crowds. Azriel also couldn’t talk about how mad he had been at everyone in that stall, how his new shadows had turned off every light and almost chocked them to death.
Azriel wanted to say that you were probably cold because you didn’t like your own coats, and most of the times wore one of his. He wanted to hug you, too, to feel you between his arms after what felt like an eternity and promise you that it would end well.
But he couldn’t say anything more than the obvious.
“I had to” you answered.
With a furious fist, frustrated at life, at him and at you, you brushed the tears off your cheeks. You could tell that he wanted to keep talking, and you did too. Since your last encounter, you had come up with more conversations you should have.
You stared at each other for what seemed forever. There were details that you had almost forgotten in your sorrow – like his long lashes, that you teased him about. Or the freckle that snuck up to the corner of his left eye. The way his mouth rose higher from the right, and the small scar on his ear from where Cassian dared him to wear an earring.
Only his face was enchanting enough to help you forget about the day, about the weight of your chest. It was the first closing call from the market, that sounded through the public speakers, that broke you away.
“I should go”
“I should go”
You talked at the same time, and you smiled softly when you pointed to different directions. You didn’t miss how his eyes fell to your mouth, how his own lifted up too.
“I could walk you back” he offered, not tearing his eyes away from your mouth. “If you let me”
You didn’t answer immediately. Those last words, that he had repeated so often lately, almost had you saying yes. You could almost imagine how it would go – him walking by your side, one of his wings behind your back. His elbow brushing yours, and his gaze fixed on you.
Your smile dropped when you remembered the times you had walked just like that, tucked together. The times you had waked by yourself through Velaris with his imprint on you, and the times he had left without a trace of your presence.
Azriel knew the answer before you said it, and his shoulders dropped slightly.
“Sorry”
That time, you decided to turn away before he could. Taking the back exit was a poor choice, knowing it was farther from your house than the main one, but you couldn’t picture yourself walking through the market without Azriel keeping the crowds a step away.
So you turned around, gripped your bags tight and didn’t tear your eyes from the ground during the whole way back.
-
It wasn’t Azriel who found you the time everything changed, but you.
The cold and winter were over, the streets were clean and the sun was out. It was a perfect day to spend outside, and Elain seemed fixed in throwing you out of your own shop. She claimed that the bags under your eyes were as dark as the night, and that your skin was so pale that she couldn’t tell the flour stains apart from it.
“Just for the record, you’re kicking the owner of the bakery out of the bakery” you stated, looking at her once more from the door. “You do realize that shouldn’t happen, right?”
“I’m helping a friend come out of her ghost-like season” she replied, still decorating muffins. “And you do realize that most shops close on Sunday’s, right?”
“Certainly not a bakery” you looked to the empty fountain at her right. “If we do it together, we will – “
“If you touch one single item of this bakery, I’m banning you from the kitchen for a month”
You doubted she meant it, she could. But still, you sighed and turned around to open the door. You weren’t an extrovert, certainly not an outsider. Since you were a child, you liked your kitchen, your house, and your space. And none of those things were outside the door.
But you actually feared what the fae you left behind would do if you turned back. Elain had already hidden your apron so you couldn’t put it on, and had threatened to mismatch the soy milk with normal one.
Giving her a last, tight smile through the glass, you walked towards the center of Velaris.
Not many people were outside that soon on a Sunday morning, but you were glad for her insistence the moment the sun kissed your face. The cold weather was disappearing and you could feel warmth across your cheeks. It was still cold, and it would be for at least another week, but the change in the weather promised a happy spring.
You walked aimlessly around Velaris, stopping to watch the Sidra move every now and then. Your feet carried you through unfamiliar streets, all of them filled with colors and smells. The longer you walked, the healthier you felt. Each step felt like a weight lifted from your chest, and you even smiled to a few usuals you found in the streets.
The main square peeked through the streets. It wasn’t your usual destination, too crowded and not as pretty as other parts of the town. But you still walked through it, feeling at ease and happy.
It had happened before, usually the days before you started your cycle, and you should have known the feeling of ease had nothing to do with the weather or the walk. It had happened and it happened again, just as you rounded a corner to walk in the square.
If, by any chance, Azriel hadn’t noticed you coming, the shadows that tugged him away from where he was standing would have made it obvious.
His eyes widened when he saw you, and you felt that peaceful feeling making its home for the day. There was no sorrow, no sadness, and none of the usual feelings that lately you felt when it came to him.
You cursed yourself stupid when you realized that you cycle was coming, and that every year you were in a mood until Azriel showed up, your hormones demanding your mate.
“Y/N”
Your name fell from your mouth and just by hearing it you noticed something different. It was new, and at the same time, you thought you recognized it somehow. You looked to his empty hands, to the syphons on his shoulders and chest and truth-teller on his side.
It looked like you had interrupted something important to him. But instead of running away from him like the last two times, you took a step closer.
“Are you going on a mission?” you pointed with your chin to his leather, eyes stopping at his chest. There was that thing, that you couldn’t name.
“Just came back. I was…”
Azriel looked to the building he just exited and for a moment, in silence. You had met a bunch of times since the incident in the market, and you had started having longer conversations. About the weather, about your bakery, and even about his family, who you finally knew officially.
Certainly, your relationship had improved, although it wasn’t just fixed yet. When he didn’t answer, you were reminded of all the times he had kept things to himself, either out of fear or doubt.
He seemed to doubt between telling you and keeping it to himself. Any other time, you knew, he would have kept it to himself. He had done it, in the past – when you asked him about his job, or tried to understand his past. Many times where he had evaded the truth or his emotions.
Your mood, that had been in a rush since you left the bakery, fell a little at his silence. He looked torn and you were ready to leave, before he answered.
“This is Madja’s house. I meet her here so we can talk, usually during the week” he looked back at you, watching the surprise of his statement. “But something happened and I needed to talk to her”
“What happened?”
Azriel’s lips were pressed tight, debating on whether he should tell you or not. He wouldn’t have doubted about it a year ago – he wouldn’t tell you, because in his eyes, it would only hurt you more than he already had. But he had learnt new things, and had realized that a relationship was built on trust. And that his fears, his perception of the reality, had broken yours.
He had cut the mission short when he had noticed, though he wasn’t sure he had ever done something like that. Azriel didn’t know what had triggered it, why it happened in the Winter court and not anytime sooner.
Madja, of course, had had an answer ready – an answer that had left him staring at her door for long twenty minutes before you appeared.
“Kallias should have sent something to Rhysand, but he didn’t” he started, not sure why he was traveling so far from the event. “So I went to check. Turns out someone must have taken it and, well, I tried to…”
He trailed off before he could finish, aware of your confusion. You never talked about what he did for Rhysand, in any court. No matter how big or small was the assignment, he didn’t tell you about it.
But that wasn’t what your confusion was about, at least not all of it. You couldn’t possibly notice because you had given it for granted since the beginning, but Azriel did notice. He noticed the change as soon as it happened, and babbled when he explained to Rhysand what he should have been feeling for years.
Had explained to Madja moments ago, who had given him a knowing smile and a proud nod.
“I accepted the bond” he confessed, continuing before you could say anything else. “I don’t know how, or why, but I was there and suddenly I was hit with – with this in my chest, and I don’t know why it wouldn’t happen sooner”
“You accepted the bond” you repeated, looking between his chest and face.
“I don’t know how, or why now. I was, thinking… And it hit me” Azriel smiled sadly, not saying what his thoughts were about – what they had been about since that night. “I didn’t want to tell you, because, this is, you don’t have to do anything now. Me accepting the bond doesn’t change what I did”
Azriel hadn’t meant to tell you, neither to be so vague and ridiculously nervous about it.
It had been a surprise when, in the middle of a conversation, he felt it. He had been thinking about you, because there were flowers and they were pretty against the cold weather, and to him, you were the prettiest thing the Cauldron had made. One moment Kallias had been going through the last movements of the package and the next the high lord was looking at him with raised brows.
Congratulating him for something that should have happened six years ago.
“It’s not that I didn’t want the bond before, Y/N” he continued when you didn’t say anything. “I promise you, I didn’t know how to accept it. I didn’t know that I deserved it”
Azriel had thought, and he still wanted to, that you so pretty that you were meant for someone else. That it was borrowed time, that he didn’t deserve the bond just as he didn’t deserve you. With Madja and Rhys, they had had deep conversations about his mental health, about his version of life where he lived through a glass of pain and rejection.
As he stared at your surprised form, he tried not to let hope leak into his heart. He knew it didn’t fix what was broken, but he hoped it was the first step of a long recovery to win you back.
Only if you could confirm or deny, instead of stare at him.
“Say something” Azriel finally broke, almost begged. “Whatever you want. Just say something”
And you wanted to, because wasn’t that what you had wanted? You had fooled yourself lately thinking about may what ifs. What if he had accepted the bond in the bagging, what if he had told you that he wasn’t fine, that he was broken and needed help.
What if you had helped him and not rushed things when he wasn’t ready. Now, it felt like the Cauldron was giving you that opportunity, only that you didn’t know how to react.
You finally looked away from him and decided to give an experimental tug on the bond, to see if anything had changed.
It had.
“Az”
It was a chuckle, maybe the beginning of a cry. It was anger but also relief because what came back from that tug wasn’t what you usually felt. It was stronger, solid, as if there was a physical string between your bodies that kept you linked.
Usually, it was just an intense feeling that was enough for you. But now that you felt him tugging back, felt him loving you, you couldn’t hold back another laugh. He shoved down through it everything he felt – adoration, love, joy. Many fears that had you stumbling towards him, and pain.
So much pain that your smile dropped. His dropped too, and you felt the bond getting fainter.
“That’s another reason. I didn’t want you to feel… that” Azriel retreated the bond farther. “I have so many fears and pains here that I couldn’t even imagine sharing them with you. And that – “
“You don’t have to feel ashamed” you cut him off, your voice hoarse. “I love you the same”
Words were unnecessary when you hugged his middle and buried yourself in his chest. He curled around you, like he had done so many times.
The channel snapped open again, and you just closed your eyes tightly. It was an endless source of emotions, and it broke you that most of them were bad. There was rejection, from so many people that it felt like an angry, black bull coming your way. Sadness that felt overwhelming and never ending, always coming in waves when Azriel didn’t expect it.
You also felt disgust, and you only held him tighter when you discovered it was self-disgust. Not only at the things that he had done, but also at what had been done to him. The scars on his hands, the shadows around him. He had hated himself for so long he had forgotten how to love.
But then, at the bottom, there was something bright, and that part you realized it was only dedicated to you. There was his family too, but it wasn’t as intense as his love for you. Everything that he lacked during his life, that he yearned for, was tucked where it mattered the most.
“I love you” he whispered against your head, softly. “I love you”
You didn’t answer, just raised your head until you could brush your lips against him. Later, you would have time to blame the cycle, which you wouldn’t get for another two months, or the emotions of the moment. But you knew it was just what you needed, what you both deserved, when you felt him kissing back.
At the beginning, it was just his lips against yours, and it was enough. Your noses brushed each other, you got on your tiptoes and his wing cocooned both of you. His hands only pressed you tighter against his body when you moved your lips against his, brushing the edge of your tongue against his bottom one.
Azriel could barely keep himself straight when you silently asked for permission to open his mouth, which he happily obliged.
From that moment, it was crashing. The kiss was only a physical proof of your feelings traveling through the mated bond, so wild and intense you couldn’t tell which one was his or yours.
“I’m sorry, darling” he whispered against your lips, giving you no time to reply. “I’m sorry for hurting you, for being a coward. I’m sorry”
“I forgive you. We don’t keep secrets anymore” you managed to say between kisses.
“Never” Azriel answered while leaving kisses on your cheeks and nose.”
“And we’ll talk about our emotions, and feelings. You’ll tell me about your life when I ask”
“Always”
“You won’t close off to me” you pulled his head away and made him look at you.
While you held his face between your hands, Azriel smiled. It was a different smile from the previous ones, from the ones you had seen so far. It was carefree, loving, and yours.
Your thumb brushed the corner of his eye, his upper cheek, the border of his nose.
“I’m here, Azriel. Always. So you don’t have to hide anything from me, or to be ashamed or afraid. I’m here” you closed the distance once more, controlling the kiss by holding onto his face. “Right around the corner”
“Right around the corner” he repeated, dipping his head and sealing all his promises with another kiss.

die with a smile, yunho
ateez arranged marriage! yunho x fem! reader angst angst angst angst wc: 3k warnings: swearing, mentions (undetailed) of blood; reader is an annoying spoiled brat, tell me if i missed anything! a/n: you voted for him YOU GOT IT ! this has two POVs, the other one is here ! i hope this hurts less than the other <3
Liking Yunho was a treat. Someone you've met, what, five times in the span of your mid-twenties life? Yes. Liking him was indeed a treat, a thrilling experience.
He was just a business partner's son you've come across in dinner events, having to stare from afar as he's always in one corner, dreading on having to participate in such kind.
"Jeong Company's first son, Jeong Yunho," Your mother nudges you as she finally speaks about your habitual staring in the third dinner event, smirking at you.
"Yunho..." You whisper his name, pressing your lips tightly as your eyes don't leave the slender man leaning on the corner of a wall, champagne glass on one hand and itching to touch his phone.
"You like him?" Your mother asks and she doesn't need any verbal response when she sees your smile turn brighter, chuckling to herself. "Let's see what we can do, then,"
And then the next dinner event comes and Yunho was standing in front of you with his father, standing tall and uninterested as he only gives you a second of a glance.
It doesn't matter when you've come to see him from up close.
"Hi Yunho, I'm y/n." Your smiles gets bigger and bigger when you offer your hand, and he sighs, pulling a tired smile but still taking your hand as manners.
"Yunho," He mumbles, shaking your hand. He then looks at his father to excuse himself, going to the bathroom despite his father's side glares.
You don't really give a mind about their family relationships, or how they don't get along with each other, what you know was that you were thinking... he was absolutely going to be yours.
And your mother knows that. So she goes straight to business.
The next dinner event follows shortly after, celebrating yet another achievement in the industry your mother's company has made.
But this time around, mid-way through the night, your mother pulls you out of her other business partners talking your future out to wink at you, guiding you to the hotel's restaurant.
In one table, you quickly read the situation and gave your mom a hug, turning giddy when you notice that it was Yunho and his father clearly waiting for company.
"Good evening, gentlemen," Your mother cuts their conversation short, Yunho clearing his throat as he avoids you and your mother's eyes, opting to look outside the huge windows that showed the breathtaking view of the sea meeting the land.
"Good evening, ladies." Yunho's father smiles and coughs at his son, straightening his coat as he stands up. "Y/n. Do have a nice evening," He excuses himself and assists your mother with his arm, making their way out of the restaurant and back to the dinner hall.
"Hi, Yunho," You invite yourself to sit in front of him, smiling awkwardly to yourself when he still doesn't bat you a glance. You sat there quietly, awkwardly, but you were fine with that.
When it means to have the man you've been dreaming about for months already, it was fine. He didn't need to move or talk- he just needed to breathe in front of you and you're good.
"Look," He finally breaks his silence, sighing and looking at you with tired eyes. "I'm not really interested."
A scoff of disbelief leaves your lips, looking at him in confusion.
"What a nice impression," You whisper, clicking your tongue. The first ever sentence he says to you was a fucking slap to your ego, making you much more determined to make him crack.
"I have a girlfriend." Yunho says with uninterested eyes, ready to leave as he stands up.
"Yeah, so?" You roll your eyes, smirking. Yunho was baffled, waiting for you to get to your point. "Your dad and my mom seem like good friends, don't you think?" Yunho tightened his jaw at how the conversation was going, stepping away from the table and leaving you playing with your glass of wine. "Let's see how this ends, shall we?"
And Yunho was gone. He left you there with five minutes of silence and a minute of tension-filled words, going to who knows where.
And you definitely feel more competitive than you could be. He was definitely going to be yours.
He needs to be.
"Oh, how was it? Yunho's such a great kid, isn't he?" Your mom welcomes you as the car door opens, preparing to leave to go home.
"I wouldn't know. He left not even five minutes in," You calmly explained, buckling up. Your mom's jaw drops, turning to look at you. You chuckle, "You don't have to worry too much, mother. Focus on your business. I got this," And with that she trusted you. You always had your way to get what you wanted.
"I heard his current relationship isn't really doing well for a few weeks now." Your friend, much of the higher hierarchy as well, gossiped. You look at her in curiosity, raising your brow. "Well, you know my boyfriend Mingi? He's friends with Yunho."
"Continue," You shrug, continuing to walk your way around the campus.
"They've been in on it for five years now. Friends since high school turned lovers in college. The girl isn't really the best fit, for Yunho's father. But Yunho was hardheaded that they lasted that long. Even got to live together early in the relationship. They aren't really at the best situation now because of Yunho's fathers demands. He's not really able to go home," She babbled at least half of his autobiography, and it makes you think.
If he wasn't so complicated, you would've long lost your interest in him. But he was. And if you weren't so egoistic as well, Yunho always having the last word in your past conversations, you weren't going to be stalking him around- as you'd like to say, keeping eye on, to gather more information about him.
So when you've gathered enough, you click your tongue as you send him a message.
you: meet me in the same restaurant at 9, same table. show up or i'll tell your father about last time too.
You sat there in elegance, wine glass twirling on the tip of your fingers as you stared at the night view outside the big windows. You weren't sure if he was coming at all. Of course, throwing the snitching is petty and immature, but it was one last bait to get him to you.
"So, snitching." You don't even bat him an eye when he sits down in front of you, waiting for you to say something that's worth calling him over. After a few minutes of tapping his foot impatiently, he sighs and stands up. "I'm leaving."
You scoff, and look at your watch.
Four minutes.
"Four minutes? That's world record. Last time you lasted only two minutes," You start, chuckling and finally facing him. "Since you're so impatient, I'll cut to the chase." Yunho sighs exasperatedly and takes his seat once more, crossing his legs. "We're getting engaged."
Yunho doesn't even budge and snorts, almost laughs at your statement.
"We? Engaged? I've seen you like, two or three times." So that means Out of the six times you've seen him, he's only seen you two or three out of times. One when you briefly were introduced to each other, and one when your parents set you up.
You scoff in disbelief when he says that, clicking your tongue. He's just as described by everyone else. Hard-headed, straightforward, and brazen.
He knows your family's influence in the industry. He knows the power your family holds to everyone else's. So why was he so complicated?
"If you're done talking, I should get going," He stands up, but stops at your words when he's passing by you.
"Five years, huh." You smirk, knowing you still hold the power when he tightens his jaw. "Five years too long already, don't you think? Your father's been lenient, so you suppose he doesn't care for his first son."
"What do you want, y/n?"
"Oh, please." You meet his eyes, confident. "You know exactly what I want." He sits back, enraged.
"An engagement is not happening and you're not going to touch her. I will not let you," He says through gritted teeth, eyes shooting at you with hatred and remorse.
"You're his first son, after all." You know your family has got his father wrapped around your fingers. You will get Yunho. "Pack it up, Jeong. And quietly, as you may."
And you stand up, now leaving first and even with a wicked smile on your face.
Your heels clicking rings on Yunho's ears, and he finds himself hearing it in horror the day after as well, at a family dinner held in his humble abode.
"Sorry I'm late, it was congested by the intersection," You welcome yourself at their dinner table, but before so, giving Yunho's father a shake of a hand.
"That's absolutely fine, my dear. Your presence is our honor," His father leads you to a chair and you only glance at Yunho, who was playing with his food mindlessly. "Jeong Yunho," His dad reprimanded him for not even acknowledging you, but you pay no mind.
"It's okay," You calm him down as you continued with dinner, various topics discussed that only regarded the industry and Yunho relentlessly quiet all throughout. Once you were done, his father sneakily starts another topic.
"So... I've talked about this with your mother," And you smile, knowing too well what that meant. You chuckle with elegance, putting your glass of water down. "Your engagement with my son," He pats Yunho's shoulder with a proud smile, but Yunho just grumbles.
"Dad..." Yunho whispers, glaring at his dad and unable to embarrass him in front of you. He tries to shake his Dad's hand off of his shoulders, but to no avail.
"Let's see what Yunho has to say first, shall we?" You smile, pointing at Yunho.
"Oh, him? Of course he's aboard the plan! It'd be our honor to take if you make Yunho a part of your family!"
"Dad. I'm not going to,"
"I can't even imagine in this life that he'd be a part of yours! I can't even dare to!"
"Dad,"
"Yunho may seem a little indifferent at first, but he's a good kid! And he does his work well, too. I'd advice that you put up with him a little-,"
"Dad! I'm not going to marry her! I don't want to!" And Yunho finally bursts, piquing your attention and interest as his father quietly enraged. "I am not interested, nor will I ever be. So, I am not going to marry her,"
And his dad sighs and stands up to meet his eyes, a slap quickly flashing before your eyes. It was unnerving, making you raise your eyebrows and cross your legs at the sudden increase of situation.
"You're still in contact with her?" His dad questions, his fist tightening. "Answer me!" Yunho just stays still, but his jaw tightens with the sting of the slap. "Son of a-," and rather a slap, a hard punch was driven to Yunho's jaw, making him dwell on the floor.
But not too long. Yunho stands up again as he regains his composure.
His father snatches his phone from his pockets and easily unlocks it, calling the alleged girlfriend he had in his contacts.
"Tell her right now, in front of my face." The ringing of the phone echoes inside the dining room, making everyone grow uncomfortable and impatient. "If you don't, just know what will happen. Don't dare go against me, Jeong Yunho."
Your foot taps as you wait for the call to connect, and finally when a voice rings through the room, Yunho and his dad share looks to see who will break first.
Of course, who does? It's Yunho, who takes his phone and stares at the contact name for a minute before he puts it in his ears, glaring right at his Dad as he mutters the words he despised so much, shooting arrows to his beloved.
"I'm not going home anymore. What's so hard to understand?" Yunho, with his ice cold voice, unwavering. Unlike his stance he showed you and his father, he was shaking in anger. He turns his head to look at you in annoyance, eyes burning right through you. "I'm getting engaged."
As the call lasted a minute more, your guilt starts to build little by little. You see the marks of the hand that slapped and punched his pearl cheeks, the redness that graced his bruised lip and the pure tears that trickled down his eyes you have always loved.
"Are you happy now?" Yunho says through gritted teeth, glancing at his father and you before throwing his phone on the floor, bashed and rattled and left to die but before he leaves the dinner front, "Don't regret this." He whispers at you and then hear the front door slamming after awhile which claimed his leave.
You scoot on your seat, untangling your legs and standing up.
"I think that's enough for us today, Mr. Jeong. I'll see you another time," You smile at him, and he quickly regains his composure, brushing his hair back and smiling at you. You pay your farewell and quickly have your leave, tailing Yunho secretly.
You had it controlled, didn't you? You knew you had it under control. You knew he despised his father, you knew his father was strict, but you didn't know it was this bad. If you knew, you wouldn't have used it against him.
The emerging guilt was getting stuffy, so you roll your windows down, sighing all the heaviness in your chest out.
When Yunho arrives at an apartment complex, he takes a longer time in the parking lot before he steps out of his car, evidently distressed with his ruffled hair and red eyes. His knuckles were also bruised, knowing that he beat himself up for everything that's happening.
Yunho was too occupied with his thoughts to even realize his surroundings, trusting his feet to take him to this all too well place he's always been at.
Yunho takes the stairs, a quiet choice, to let his thoughts take over him. You thought it was only a level or two, maybe three, that he'd take the stairs. Only did you realize that he took this to take his time... and take his time... and take his time.
Twenty-fifth level. And you were catching your breath, while Yunho was trying his best to not break down. He should not.
If he had the choice to forever ascend the stairs and never reach his destination, he will do that over a thousand of options. Just to never face the reality. Just to never face the fact that he was leaving his beloved for once.
But he had no choice, as he's now facing the door he once shared with his girlfriend, and he's hesitant as ever to even touch the doorknob. He hears the cries for help, while you're there, staring at him stalling to prolong the time to not see the love of his life desperate and begging for him to stay.
A sigh leaves your lips for the nth time, and you almost stop him from going inside. Almost.
The goal was being handed to you directly, almost spoon-fed to you, so why were you now declining it? Who were you doing it for?
This is what you wanted.
And what you're going to see, hear, feel now, is what you deserve.
Your feet stops when Yunho finally turns the knob, opting to lean on the wall beside the door and wait for it to finish.
It baffles you how every word the two had thrown to each other hurt you as much as them, if you were brazen enough. Of course it hurt them more. It will hurt more and will not hurt less after some time, or even after a lot of time. Especially for Yunho.
And since you will be betrothed with Yunho, he will always be reminded of this moment every time he sees you.
And that hurts you as well.
To be something, someone he reminded of his most despised moment.
"Wasn't an easy decision, for whom, Jeong?!" You hear his girlfriend shout desperately through the thin walls, as you stare into space and feel your heart break for the two of them. "You're twenty-five for fuck's sake! Would your dad kill you if you went against him for once?!"
Oh you knew his dad wouldn't kill him. But you know he'd very much borderline do it just to get what he wants, get his own way. Even if it meant hurting his son, just like now.
You knew this break up would kill him inside.
"Would you die if you fought for us once, Jeong?!" He always had, will always do in every universe. He was just not strong enough today. Not strong enough in this life. But if given the chance, he will always, always choose her in every universe.
"...I'm still here, Yunho..." And he will always be. Not long enough, you hear her ask Yunho to leave, and it scars you how broken she sounds and it's all just because of you. But in her story, Yunho will be the bad guy.
You perk up when you see Yunho leave, expecting him to take notice of you but he doesn't, his back on you as he makes his leave, towards the emergency stairs once again.
You don't miss the way his hands trembled and his shoulders shudder right when he's finally free of the thin walls that connected him and his girlfriend. His cries he muffled with his hand and the whimpers he had been holding for far too long.
This is what you deserved.
This is what you deserved to see, hear, and feel. Now and forever. Yet you'd have to bear with the fact that deep down, you'd have the biggest regret, but have to live it off with a smile because this.
This is what you wanted.

Love Stricken (PT.1)
(Gojo Satoru x Chubby!Fem!Reader)
(PT.2)
⚠️⚠️⚠️: Smutty smutty smut, Swearing. Drinking. Gojo in loooove
Never in a million years would you think, you'd catch the eyes of a certain jujutsu sorcerer but you did and with that came alot of consequences. That you would eventually find out the hard way.
Your parents vanished a good couple of years ago with no knowledge of why and where, leaving you; the eldest, to care and provide for your younger siblings. Being responsible and forgetting about the life you used to live, you felt lost. Struggling a lot with your self worth.
Your best friend took it upon herself to finally get you to live your life a little more by taking you out on the town for a night.
But you found that night was the start of your downfall.
I plan to turn this into a series eventually and this is also the first time I'm writing in a third person, so there could be a few mistakes not to mention the spelling and grammar might be a little baaad. I'll try to fix them when I can. I'm also not the greatest at writing descriptions.
********
********
"See? Didn't I tell you, you would have fun." Your best friend shouted over the loud booming club music and the noises of the on going clubbers.
You rolled your eyes slightly, head lightly bobbing to the music as you took a sip from the straw in your drink, vodka and cranberry was your drink of choice. It definitely wasn't your first but after the persistent nagging from your bestie to actually drink something alcoholic, you went with the safe one.
"Yeah I loved the fact that I already have a migraine!" You shouted back, eyes squinting from the bright strobe lights.
From the moment you walked in on the party scene, you felt like you were being watched, as soon as your foot hit the concrete floor. You couldn't pinpoint where or who but you could feel their glaze burn holes into you, perhaps it was just the swarm that surrounded you, you couldn't tell.
"You are so dull now! You use to love going out!" You watched as Zariah downed the two shots she had ordered for herself, deciding it'll be better to not delay the inevitable.
"That was before I had kids to look after." She pouted slightly, her hand gripping your shoulder, moving closer to your ear.
"That's why you need to enjoy yourself tonight! Get fucked up, maybe even get fucked? Hmmm~" you shake your head, giggling nervously slightly at the continuous pressure. It was her plan all along. Getting you out there, finding a short distraction from what you were dealing with currently.
You twirled your straw around in your drink, pushing the Ice to the different sides of the glass.
"Stop thinking about them. They will be fine! Rast will be taking great care of them! He wants you to enjoy your night too."
Truth is.. Ever since your parents disappeared, leaving no trace behind except other children they forgot about for you to look after; to become their legal guardian. You have not had much time to yourself.
The years started to flicker by and the realisation started to set in that this was your life now. Your parents were not coming back. They were your kids now. It's a hard pill to swallow and frankly not one you were interested in but what else could you do? You felt obligated to care and provide for your siblings.
The more you worried about your siblings, the more you lost yourself. Your confidence had plummeted and your self image was shattered. Though you wouldn't let anyone know. The looks those skinny tan gorgeous girls would give you as you passed them on the street, did not go unnoticed.
The small remarks guys would leave you to ponder over, never far from your mind.
The comments you received from a previous ex, picking at your self esteem, your self confidence; resided in your core constantly.
You'd never show them that it affected you. You held your head high, trying to fake the confidence you once had.
But when you get home, it was a different story. In the privacy of your own bedroom was when the waterworks started. The constant peering in the mirror, pointing out all the differences between you and other girls. Comparing yourself and wishing for things that were in your eyes imperfections, just to go away.
You were happy alone. At least that's what you told yourself. You didn't need a guy. Especially when you looked like you.
Maybe sometimes you're too hard on yourself. Maybe.
"I don't mean to weird you out but that gooorgeous man has been eyeing you for ages." Zariah broke you out of your zoning, pointing slightly in the direction behind you.
"Consider me weirded out. Don't be silly. You mean eyeing you?" You didn't even bothered turning around to follow, he clearly wasn't looking at you. Maybe at someone who was further down the bar. If not your gorgeous best friend.
You can't seem to help yourself though, your eyes peek around before you could even react, a quick subtle peek.
You flick over the crowd of different people, trying to find the guy your best friend was talking about, until your eyes finally land on who you were looking for.
She wasn't lying.
He was *chefs kiss*
And he was already looking at you.
You couldn't see his eyes since they were hiding behind a pair of low sunglasses. His hair was almost pure white, reflecting off the neon lights that scattered around the room.
A white button up shirt with the a few of the buttons undone, sleeves pushed up to his elbows; drink resting in his longer slender fingers.
Your eyes widen as he tipped his glass at you, a devilish grin resting on his lips.
You quickly faced your best friend returning to raised eyebrows and a cheeky smirk.
"Don't even say anything." You growled, feeling almost foolish that a man of that pristine stature could be even interested in something like you.
Zariah held her hands up in defence "I wasn't gonna but he is fine." She took a slow gulp from her drink, eyes avoiding my glaze.
"You have a boyfriend." You watched her roll her eyes at you, placing her cup back down on the harden wood. "I can still appreciate a good looking guy or a girl for that matter." Her eyebrows wiggled aggressively causing you to sigh dramatically, resting your elbow on the bar; chin resting in the palm of your hand.
Just as you were about to take another sip of your drink, Zariah's eyes widen slightly before spinning around in her chair facing away from you; back in full view.
Before you could even ask what her problem was, you felt a presence appear behind you; them looming over you.
"What's a nice place like you doing in a girl like this?" You stifled a chuckle that tried to escape your throat as you turned to face the new comer, realising it was the guy you were previously checking out. Allegedly.
He leant against the bar, resting on his elbow, his full attention and glaze set on your form. That devilish grin still resting on his lips. Making you feel almost uneasy. Under pressure almost.
"Wow. How many girls have you used that one liner on?"
He tilted his head slightly, his glasses slipping down the bridge of his nose, his eyes peering from behind them. They were stunning. The brightest blue you had ever seen. It was reflecting an ocean. Unnaturally glistening, the specks of colour flowing like a river. Maybe it was just the lightning or maybe you are already tipsy from one drink.
"Was waiting to use it on the right girl." You hummed before taking a sip from your straw, fingers pressed tightly at the tip, your eyes never leaving his as you look at him with doe eyes.
"How charming of you." You smirked moving the empty glass away from you.
"I'm Satoru Gojo but you can call me Satoru. What about you gorgeous?" He pressed with a light flick of his head, his tongue wetting his lips.
"Just Y/n." You felt a slight heat starting to form within your face, this Satoru was clearly flirting with you and you had no idea how to take it. This felt a little be overwhelming for you. He was drop dead handsome and he was showing some sort of interest in you.
"Well 'Just Y/n' can I buy you another drink?" You don't say anything as you look down at your empty glass before giving a nod.
You both sit there for a couple moments more, just small talking as you take your time sipping away at your drink. A laugh here and a giggle there as Satoru throws a joke your way; slowly opening you up, allowing you to get comfortable in his presence. Completely forgetting you did not come here by yourself.
Gojo quickly downs the rest of his drink before his eyes fall on you once more "Do you wanna dance?"
Your breathing hitched slightly at the invitation, Satoru was already moving before you could even respond, pulling you by your hand through the crowds and on to the dance floor.
He placed your hand on his shoulder, placing his own large hands on your hips, guiding them to the rhythm of the music. Your arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer, chest pressing against chest.
A small sweet smile made its way to your lips as you stare up at the much taller man through your eyelashes.
You started to feel a bit exposed, your eyes moved around the room, briefly looking at all the different couples that surrounded the two of you. You caught a few glimpses of a cluster of girls that weren't that far from you, noises scrunched up at you, giggling as they spoke to each other, watching you with envy. It was frankly very uncomfortable.
Fed up with the looks, you pulled back from Satoru abruptly "I'm sorry, I can't-." You muttered more to yourself than him.
But just as turned around, back facing the towering man, he grabs you by your wrist, pulling you back kind of aggressively into his chest.
Your ass press up against him, his hands resting on your hips, digging in slightly to hold you there.
"Don't think about them. Think about me." He whispered in your ear, sending cold shivers down your spine causing goosebumps all over your skin. A quiet gasp leaves your lips at the suggesting tone.
"Think about the way I'm pressed up against you." Our hips moved in a slow dance, his hands guiding me to grind against him.
"Think about the way my hands feel." Your eyes fluttered closed as one of his hands traced your prominent curves over the fabric of your dress, pulling it up slightly when he gets to your thighs, exposing some hidden skin.
"The way my lips feeling on your skin." His teeth grazed your ear lobe, moving to your neck to leave soft burning pecks on your skin, a very small whimper comes from you from the actions.
Your head lobbed back against his shoulder, allowing more access for him. Your skin was burning from the kisses. the touches.
You continue to grind against him, feeling more turned on by the minute. Especially hearing the shutters from his throat when you rub him the right way, making you uncontrollably wet.
"My god. You're intoxicating." He breathed out as he held you against him, tighter. His hand moving up your body, painfully slowly before gripping gently on to your neck, using a ringed finger to push your chin in his direction.
You let out a soft noise as your lips were in proximity of each other, you could feel the essence of where his lips need to be; hovering.
"Think about how our lips feel..." he press a soft peck on your lips before capturing your bottom lip in between his teeth. You couldn't help the noise that flowed out of you. This was so.. hot. He was hot. He was making you hot.
You leaned up to press your lips to his, nearly almost fed up with the teasing. Both of you move in sync with each other, Satoru's hand still holding your neck with no pressure. Keeping you aligned with him as your mouths explore each others; His rings leaving a cold sensation as they graze your skin.
"Wanna get out of here?" He mumbled against your lips, kissing you after each word. You smiled slightly as much as you could.
"Yes please Satoru." A slight groan came from the milky skinned man, pulling you even harder against him. "I'm loving hearing you say my name baby." A little giggle escaped your lips as he nuzzled his nose with yours.
As you both rushed through the bodies on bodies, you leave Satoru alone for just a minute while he ordered an Uber, leaving you to remember why you were here and who you were with.
"Damn. I mean damn. You better be coming over to tell me, you're going home with him." Zariah exclaimed already holding out your belongings as you made your way over to her with a bright smile on your face.
Without saying too much, you quickly lay a fresh kiss on her cheek "I'll see you tomorrow." Your best friend let out a squeal of excitement, watching your retreating form.
"Fucking finally. He better fuck her good." Zariah mumbled to herself before downing the rest of her drink. Accomplished her mission and ready to go home.
You and Satoru walk out of the club, fingers intertwined. Immediately spotting our ride. He leads you towards the SUV, opening the door open for you. Like a gentleman.
You express your appreciation before hoping in and moving over to the other side, mumbling a quick greeting to the driver.
Gojo closes the door behind him once he jumps in, scooting closer to you, not even bothering to put a seatbelt on; which the driver doesn't enforce either.
Frankly he wasn't all too bothered with keeping a conversation but that didn't seem to stop the man who was inviting you back to his.
"Had a busy night so far?" Gojo asked the driver as he wrapped an arm around your shoulder, pulling you closer to him, his other hand resting on your thigh.
You couldn't focus on both of the men conversing when Satoru hands was rubbing patterns into your skin, starting to go high and closer to where was needed to be touched. Teasing you.
You tried to control your breath, ignoring the neediness you were currently experiencing. You pressed a hand on his chest, coming to rest your head. Your eyes still stuck on his dangerous hand.
Your jaw clenched as his hand did in fact go higher, biting your lip as you feel his index finger press against the fabric of your panties; causing you to seize up.
Your eyes look to Satoru, witnessing a cheeky smirk resting on his lips as he continues to chat with the Uber driver. Feigning innocence.
Your eyes started to roll to the back of your head when he continued to rub at your clothed cunt. Your panties becoming wetter and wetter the more he pushed. You started to bite your finger knuckle to hold in any noises that might try to escape you.
You couldn't believe he would even try to do this right in the middle of this car ride, thankfully you were out of view. At least you hoped..
You started to bite harder when his finger pushed aside your panties and swiped at your slick folds, subconsciously you opened your legs wider for him. Scooting down so you were hanging off the seat.
The biting got harder when he plunged a finger past your walls, pumping in and out slowly. Curling in the right spot. His other hand was ghosting over the skin on your shoulders, causing you to shiver while being fingered in the backseat of this strangers truck.
"Ahh shit. Sorry guys. Just gotta make a quick stop. Didn't realise I was low on gas."
"No worries man. You do you." Gojo spoke up still pumping his finger into you, slightly picking up the pace but still managing to conceal you.
The very moment the man jumped out of the car, letting you guys know he'll only be a few minutes, Satoru turned to you, pushing your legs apart further "Two minutes, That's all I need."
You let out the moans you had been holding in, gripping on to his forearm as his pace became aggressive. Nothing you have felt with any man. He was hitting the right spot over and over again with his long fingers. One you honestly didn't think you had. If he kept at this, you were definitely going to cum. Which shocked you to your core.
"Who knew you were so dirty. Letting me do this to you at the chance of getting caught." He moan slightly, adding another finger to the mix. Curling up wards, pulling a quiet cry from you.
"Holy shit-" you whimpered as you felt electricity spreading throughout your body, his fingers felt so nice inside you. Gliding in and out of your wet pussy, the squelching noises were more prominent now.
"You're already so wet.. probably making a mess on these leather seats. I turn you on that much huh? God you're fucking hot." A deep growl erupted from his throat as his fingers continued to plunge deeper. Faster.
"You gonna cum? You gonna cum on these fingers? I want you too. Cum for me baby." Not only was the pleasure on a whole another level, the shock was too. How was it possible that this guy could very much bring you to the edge in five minutes? This was nothing you had ever experienced before and you are only just getting started.
You couldn't even form words, that's how bad the effect was, they only came out in moans and whines. You were nearly over the edge, stars were appearing in your vision. You squeezed harder on his forearm, nails digging deeper as you started your ascent.
"Oh fuck- I'm gonna- shit." You babbled out, your legs started to quiver as you felt yourself approaching the high, Satoru had brought you too only using his fingers.
"That's it baby. Cum all over these fingers, all over the seats." His words quite literally brought you to the edge, you felt your walls clenched around his fingers, starting to flail against him. He let out a low groan feeling you tighten around his fingers, his cock was becoming uncomfortable hard through his pants; just at the sight of you alone. The thought of you cumming on his cock. Squeezing him so nicely. Gojo was excited.
Excited to fuck the shit out of you.
Your mouth formed an O as you felt the orgasm wash over, leaving you a panting mess. You were left with no words. Completely and utterly stunned. You've never came so fast or so hard in your life, not even by your fingers and certainly not by a man.
Satoru pressed a sweet kiss on your temple before pulling his fingers out, a small sob leaving your mouth at the bareness. He lifted his fingers to his mouth before eagerly sucking your juices off.
"Mmm. So sweet." You honestly thought you would cum again. This was so embarrassing to you. You were so hot and turned on. You honestly just wanted to fuck him right here and now, not even caring if the driver came back or not. You were becoming inpatient.
It seemed Satoru felt the same way, once he caught a glimpse of your dilated pupils, your face covered in need, he knew he was in for a long night. Satoru smirked dangerous before pressing his fingers up to your lips, not needing to wait too long when you didn't even hesitate to open, sucking contentedly on his fingers. Loving the feeling as your tongue twirled around them.
"Oh fuck-" Satoru shuttered with a slight roll of his eyes, you were something else.
Thank goodness for blacked out windows..
The driver came back, finally for what felt like hours to you, returning on the path to the destination in question.
You sat there completely dazed, thinking of what had just transpired. Trying to ignore your juices that were oozing out of you. While Satoru was whispering sweet nothings in your ear, his hand was lying in your lap and you were just playing with his fingers, his rings. The fingers that just made you have possibly the best orgasm of your life but you definitely knew that was going to change. Real quick.
But a thought couldn't help but sneak in and ruin your buzzed feeling.
How many girls has he made cum with these hands. Said the same shit too. You weren't special. You were just that, another girl to get his dick wet.
But you shouldn't care, this was only fun. This is only suppose to be a hook up. No matter if he made you feel like the only girl in the world for the night. He was good at was he does. He was good at making you feel good in more ways than physical.
The drive felt like hours, you felt like you were losing your mind as Satoru's hands were exploring your body. Trying to push aside the unsettling feeling when he brushed over your extra layers.
From the outside it seemed he didn't even care that you were a larger woman but what worried you was what he was thinking. Your head was full of intrusive thoughts.
Did he really find you attractive?
When he looked at you did he see something more?
Was he disgusted?
Was he regretting this and just being nice?
Far far out of your league.
Little did you know, Gojo Satoru found you absolutely beautiful. All six of his eyes spotted you as soon as you stepped foot in the establishment.
You were positively delicious.
He just had to have you.
And now he does. He couldn't be more happy.
"I can hear those cogs turning in that pretty head of yours." You looked towards Satoru, forcing a smile as he gently brushed his knuckle across your jaw. A small sweet smile resting on his lips; his face close to yours.
"You're really attractive." You simply said, taking in his features properly, getting a clearer picture. Away from all of bright and flashing lights.
His eyes were more sparkling than before, you found yourself looking away every now again, afraid you'd be put under a spell. Not that you'd would mind anyway..
His bone structure was out of this world, it's like he was sculpted by a god or maybe he was just a god.
He was uncomfortably ravishing.
"Mmm I get that a lot. I'm pretty hot. But you." Your eyes widen a little at his comment, not sure how to take it. His hand cupped your cheek, his eyes peering into yours.
"You are crazy fucking hot. That curvy body is going to be the death of me. I mean.. I'd die a happy man in between those thighs." You bite your bottom lip, completely speechless. This man was turning you to putty and no matter how much your body was trying to tell you he was lying. You knew deep down he meant every word.
You were shell shocked.
And unbelievably horny.
The wait was over, you had arrived at the destination. Your eyes glazed over the very large and lavish apartment complex. A completely different place to where you resided. A decently ran down 4 bedroom home that you were pretty positive was still full of mold, no matter how hard you cleaned.
Your mind immediately went into autopilot, as Satoru lead you out of the truck, muttering a quick 'thank you' to the Uber.
Satoru pulled you with him as you both stride towards the entrance, your fingers intertwined. He lead you into the lobby, towards one of the many elevators and as soon as those doors closed. As soon as he had pressed the button, you were pressed up against the glass wall. Your leg hanging loosely over his hip, hand placed securely behind your knee.
"Satoru.. they have cameras.." you whispered as he placed sloppy kisses along your neck.
"Mmm say my name again." He grumbled against your skin, having no care in the world for your protests. The only care was to hear you scream his name, no matter where you both are.
"Satoru stooop, we can't. Not here." You giggled a little as he ran his nose over your jugular. A smirk appeared on Satoru lips as he listened to your laugh.
He was compelled to hear it again and obviously since he was like the funniest person HE knew, it wouldn't be hard.
"But whyyy. You're too sweet. You taste like candy." He whined slightly pulling away to stare into your eyes, quite like staring into your soul. If it was anyone else, you probably would recoil, cringing.
Buuuut he was also kinda adorable. You thought.
You leaned forward pressing a sweet peck on his lips, Satoru dropping your leg, allowing you to correct your posture.
"I do not." You giggled yet again, pressing your hands against his chest, moving them up and down his torso.
"Do too. I can't wait to gobble you up." He pressed, your giggle pierced his ears again, causing his smile to brighten as he stared down at you, basically inhaling your beauty.
"You've got such a way with words." You sarcastically say as you give him a playful eye roll, trying to push him back slightly but to no avail, he stood strong.
"That's not the only thing, Baby." And god did you believe him.
You jump once you hear the ding of the elevator, realising you are so close to getting the life fucked out of you and that put a bounce in your step. You were nearly stepping on the backs of Satoru heels as the both of you wonder down the halls.
Your breathing started to pick up, feeling almost inpatient. You couldn't even blame it on the alcohol because realistically you only had two, you were definitely drunk on something else and you'd only experienced it briefly.
You watched as Satoru's long slender fingers, played with his keys; trying to find the right one.
And as soon as that door was opened, you couldn't even process how fast you were inside, immediately locking lips.
Satoru kicked the door shut with his foot, his hands never leaving you as he pushed his tongue past your lips. You let out a low moan as your tongues started to dance with each other.
The kiss was sloppy and ferocious. You didn't believe when people talked about sparks but in that moment, you started to believe. He left your lips tingling, nothing you've felt before. It sent waves of pleasure throughout your body. Your pussy aching, needing for this man.
You were nearly tripping over each other, bumping into things, lips never leaving each others as you both made your way through the apartment. Letting out a low whimper when your back hit the soft mattress, spreading your legs to allow Satoru to press himself against you.
"I'm fucking you. No more playing. I need to feel you around me." Satoru growled against your lips, before resuming sticking his tongue down your throat.
His hands left you, reaching down to work at his belt, he was quick and efficient, pushing his pants down his legs with one hand.
He broke from you, pushing up your dress past your hips and literally ripping off your panties, exposing your wet and dripping cunt. You'd worry about your panties later.
Satoru let out a low groan seeing you now bare beneath him, your pussy glistening for him. And only him.
You were his for tonight and he was going to rock you until you were cumming for him.
He didn't dare waste anymore time, aligning himself up at your entrance, his head bowed to watched himself push against your pussy, a moan leaving him when he felt how wet you really were, he could just slide in and you'd take him perfectly.
But he knew better, you'd need to adjust.
You were a moaning mess already, grabbing at him, bucking your hips against the ghosting tip of his cock, it was too dark to see have big he was but you soon found out as he pushed himself in.
"Fuck." He let out a staggering breath as he felt the beginning of your tight walls, you let out a sharp gasp as you take him, your fingers digging into his shoulders. The pain was real. He was huge.
You felt the pop as he finally pushed past your boundaries, a synced moan coming from both parties. Satoru moved his hips slowly, his fingers digging into his expensive sheets; restraining himself.
You were mewing lowly as he pumped into you, grateful he was allowing you to adjust to his size.
The more he felt himself able to go further without any resistance, the more he sped up.
"You feel amazing." He huffed out, rocking his hips in a steady pace. Your eyes fluttered as moans flowed effortlessly from your mouth. His cock was rubbing against your walls in just the right way. Tickling that itch you never knew you truly needed.
But you were becoming even more impatient, you wanted him to use you. You knew he was holding back and you wanted him to show you just how much.
Your hand moved up into his hair, gripping at the roots "I want you all. Don't hold back. Please Satoru."
At just the moan of his name, sent him. Before you knew it, both of his hands gripped your hips aggressively, slamming into yours.
You cried out loudly as he repeatedly did it again and again. Fucking his cock into you, hitting right into your cervix. You gripped desperately onto his forearms as he continued to plow into you; bouncing at every thrust.
You squeezed Satoru better than he imagined, you would. He stared down at your form with hunger, watching you arch your back, your beautiful mouth letting out cries of pleasures from his cock. You were taking him so well. He wanted you to scream for him.
"God. You look so good taking my cock. Taking me so well." He purred, placing a hand on the pudge of your stomach, pressing down firmly. He wished he had taken off your dress so he could see your beautiful tits bouncing from every time he fucked his cock into you.
"Satoru! Fuck. Holy shit-" You cried out, throwing your head back against the mattress, arching your back even more.
"Keep saying my name baby. Just like that." He leaned down, resting on his forearm just above your head, not before using his other hand to push one of your legs up, allowing him more access to your addicting cunt.
"AAHH fuck! Satoru!" You screamed out, feeling your body start to shake from the continuous pounding. His cock deeper inside from the new position.
"Fuck yeah. Holy fuck. You're so beautifult." He groaned, your little noises were music to his ears, his fingers digging deeper into your supple skin and you knew it would definitely leave marks.
Your lips crashed against his, teeth clashing together. Satoru swallowing each cry and moan that would try to escape.
"You gonna cum for me? You gonna cum on my cock?" He moaned in your ear, followed by hallowed panting as he pounded into you. You couldn't rely on forming any words, they were just coming out as sobs and cries. You were putty underneath him, no one has EVER fucked you this good before. You were on cloud nine.
And just as you thought it couldn't get any better, you started to feel the familiar build up. You were close. You felt like you were going to explode from the pleasure as it flowed through your body, you couldn't even warn Satoru before you released around his cock, screaming out in pure bliss as you felt yourself gush over him.
Satoru quickly pulled out and watched as you released a great quantity of liquid. Your legs shaking from the overbearing orgasm that shook your core.
He let out a breathless chuckle, realising you. HE had just made you squirt, all over him.
Your hands trembled as you brought them to your mouth, trying to control your breathing.
"Oh god. I'm sorry." You were shocked that you could even squirt and this man had not only brought you to a full penetration orgasm but he made you squirt.
"Hah Sorry? No. That was fucking hot. So hot. fuck." Satoru's breathing became heavier, his pupils dilated as he watched your trembling form, without anymore words, he slammed back into you, pulling a louder cry from you. Having seen you squirt on his cock, brought him closer to his own climax.
His thrusts were becoming sloppier and more desperate as he chased his own high. You were completely dazed, stars in your vision. Being fucked harder into the mattress. An uncontrollable moaning mess.
You tugged at his hair, yanking his head back slightly "Cum in me. I want it."
He couldn't believe his ears, as if you could get anymore sexier.
"You want it. You want my hot load inside your juicy pussy?" Your hands travelled down his back, leaving long and deep scratches, marking him red.
"Satoru- please. Cum. Please. I want it. I want you." He growled from the stinging sensation and from your voice. He was so close. So close.
"Anything for you, baby." He angled his hips and thrusted harder, until he felt it. He shoved his face into the crook of your neck as he felt his own orgasm approaching, his cum shot straight into you, causing a guttural cry from your throat as you feel it coat your walls. Satoru pumped into you until he was dry, slowing to a stop. A complete panting mess above you.
You were trying hard to catch your own breath as he lowered himself onto you, carefully trying not to crush you.
Your hand brushed through his pure white strands, as you both laid there together, in pure bliss. Panting excessively.
Satoru sat up slightly to place a sweet kiss on your lips, you of course accepted happily. He hummed softly before resting his face on your tits.
"I've never squirted before." You panted out, your eyes staring up at the ceiling. You felt embarrassed, more so for the fact you had made a mess but you also felt bewildered. You didn't think you could and you didn't think that any man could pull an orgasm out of you, let alone two, It started you thinking. How many could he make you have?
Every boyfriend you've had, NEVER made you feel like how this man did here. They were all so more selfish for their own desire than satisfying you. Even getting to the point where you would just roll over and let them have their way, sucking the enjoyment out of sex completely. Making it feel like a chore, so you wouldn't have to constantly hear their whines and moans about 'why you didn't want to fuck?'
Tsk.
"Never?" You shook your head lazily, feeling an overwhelming sense of drowsiness.
You felt him vibrate from the low chuckle he let out, his head lifting up to look you in the eyes "Well. I can't wait to make you do it again and again.." his voice was mumbled against your skin as he peppered you with wet kisses.
"And again." You felt Satoru cradle your ass cheeks, his fingers massaging intensely. Hoisting you up, angling himself up with your overstimulated cunt.
And here you thought you could sleep.
Nah. You're in for a long night.

HIHIHIHIHIHIHHIIHIHIIIII IT'S ME AGAINNNNN AND I'M HERE TO PROVIDE MORE DAD TSUKKI BRAINROT 😈😈
Imagine how absolutely concerned, protective, worried, caring, loving (probably feeling every single emotion LMAO) Tsukki is when he's taking care of Hoshi who has a common cold but he's acting like she's about to die
ALSO I LOVE YOU PLEASE DON'T DIE, TAKE CARE AND NO NEED TO RUSH THIS, TAKE UR TIME‼️‼️
I LOVE YOU TOO! thank u for this request 🙏
—
you have never seen kei this frantic since the first time he was almost late to his first sendai frogs practice.
he runs back and forth between the kitchen and hoshi's bedroom, picking up a bowl of soup, fever syrup, a cold rag, a glass of water, a jar of honey, chamomile tea—
everything to assure hoshi's cold.
she'd gotten it yesterday, you assume. it was flu season, but you had all made an unconscious mistake of not wearing a mask. but you and kei had strong immune systems; it's just that little hoshi was still developing her weak lungs.
you follow kei, except walking behind him as he strides five steps to her bedroom. you rest your shoulder on the doorframe, arms crossed, smiling at the sight of your worried husband sitting beside hoshi—who sat with a thick comforter around her arms and a rag on her forehead.
it was only a fever, but kei's treating it like she was about to die at any second.
"eat it, baby," he holds a spoonful of honey, floating just above her tiny pale lips. "for papa, please?"
she shakes her head petulantly. to be fair, this was her third spoon.
kei sighs forlornly. "please, hoshi."
"kei," you walk towards him, placing your hand on top of the one that holds the spoon. "let her rest. you've been all over her since this morning. you're going to get sick."
"we can't leave her alone here–"
"the door's open. and you're not even wearing your mask," you take the spoon, placing it on the empty bowl on hoshi's bedside table. you're glad that she had at least finished the okayu you made. you bend down to let hoshi lay on her bed. "take a nap, sweetie."
she whines, wrapping her blanket around her. "i wanna watch tv."
"she wants to watch tv," kei echoes. "okay baby. i'll take you to the couch."
and before you could protest, he'd already scooped her into his arms, walking rapidly to the living room and laying her down on the couch. kei barely takes his eyes off her, blindly reaching for the remote. and when he has it, it's only when he looks away to look for her favorite show.
his adamancy at being present at her side when hoshi's sick was something you had always admired but had grown to find just the tiniest bit incredulous. you see how hoshi, while she enjoyed his pampering, seemed to not know how to tell her dad that she was (at the moment) content and fine. but whenever she was sick, even at the slighest cough or the tiniest sniffle, kei was on her like a fly on an open meal.
it seems as though she was still enjoying this extra ounce of attention.
"papa," she croaks, nose stuffed. "can i have tonkatsu for dinner?"
"of course, baby," he smooths her hair down, kneeling beside her. "you can have anything you want for dinner."
you sigh. "hoshi, you need to take a nap."
"but i don't wanna."
"hoshi."
"love," kei looks up at you. "she's had a rough day. let her watch. she hasn't caught up with her show for a week." then he pushes himself up, taking the alcohol with him and spraying his palm, before touching your face. "i'll take care of her honey, yeah? it's okay."
you give him a tired gaze, but you can see his worry through the glaze of his eyes, looking down at you with pinched eyebrows. with a huff, you kiss his cheek. "i'll cook the tonkatsu. but i want you to wear a mask, okay? we can't get sick."
after dinner, kei's cuddled with hoshi in the living room, a mask on his face. he's not supposed to cuddle her, but his stubborness had blossomed when hoshi came, especially when he sided with her wants. you take a note of buying adult medicine the next day.
because just as you predicted, he had began to sneeze the moment hoshi had her normal temperature back. kei greets you with a pout, knowing an "i told you so" would be his good morning.

Scars Like Mine pt. 2
paring: Azriel x Reader | type: fluff | words: 1,6k | warnings: none. playlist: hurts | scars to your beautiful | beauty marks | stronger | fly with me finally part 2 is here, I am sorry for the long wait; part 1 (how Azriel meets Elia and her mother)
“Are we going flying now?” Elia bounces up and down on her chair, then gulps down the rest of her hot cocoa in one big sip. She taps her fingers onto the wooden table, her gaze ping-ponging between Azriel and you.
You reach for your daughter’s hand, trying to calm her a little while throwing Azriel an apologetic look, but he only smiles politely. “Azriel has just arrived here, my love, give him a little break and let him enjoy breakfast with us.”
It has become a natural thing for the three of you. Azriel has come here often in the past months, at least two times a week, to have breakfast with you and then go flying with Elia. Maybe on one or the other occasion, unbeknownst to your daughter, Azriel already arrived the evening before and spent the night with you. Yes, yes, it is true. The two of you have started dating a while ago and you couldn’t be happier.
Elia knows that you are dating, knows that her mummy is suddenly a lot happier, and her days are brighter. Elia loves this, loves to see her mother smile and laugh so much, and loves to have Azriel here to fly with her. He is great at flying and can teach her so many things. She has already learned how to do a turn, a twist and fly a spiral.
It gives you small heart attacks whenever you see those stunts, but you know that with Azriel, and him always being close to her, she is safe and nothing can happen to her, or will ever happen to her.
“It is fine,” Azriel says, “I’m almost done anyway.” He takes a sip from his water, before gulping down the whole glass and rising from his chair. Your gaze follows him, the outline of his strong, solid body, and you pull your lower lip between your lips when memories of the other night fill your mind. It is insane and should be forbidden what his wicked mouth and his hands can do, and you wonder how you got so lucky to have met him.
Not only for yourself. He is not only a god in the sheets. Azriel is everything you have ever hoped for in a male. Kind, caring, charming, wonderful, smart, and he loves your daughter and treats her with so much kindness and fatherly-love (even though she is not his daughter) your heart wants to cry. You have cried on many occasions already, not believing that you actually got so lucky to finally have this amazing male in your life.
Azriel reaches out his hand when Elia jumps up from her chair and starts punching the air. He brushes his scarred hand over your head and smiles when he meets your gaze. “We’ll be careful, I promise.”
“I know,” you smile up at him and place your hand atop his, thumb stroking his marred skin. “I trust you.” You rise as well, and kiss him on his cheek and then pull your daughter into your arms, squeezing her tightly while plastering her face with kisses. “I also trust you, no crazy stunts or twists or spins,” you tell her, knowing it is useless anyway.
In the corner of your eye you catch Azriel grinning at her, knowing that they plan on doing stunts and crazy twists and turns, but if it brings her joy, you would never forbid it. She will be fine you, you know it.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⊹ ࣪ ˖
“I am flying!” Elia blazes ahead of Azriel, throws him a big grin over her shoulder. She is now onto her third spin in a row, Azriel always close to her in order to catch her if she threatens to fall. She has turned into a great flyer, but Azriel doesn’t fully trust her abilities yet. She is still very young, the muscles in her wings not yet so strong.
She is so fast, and her laughter so radiant it fills Azriel with pure bliss. Seeing her happy, it is so good and knowing how happy her happiness makes you, is all Azriel needs in life. The two of you have made his life so much better – in you he has found a family, one that resembles the one his brothers have and he couldn’t be any happier.
“Look!” Elia hollers and Azriel grins brightly.
“So amazing, Elia!” he shouts to her over the rising wind, showing her thumbs up. She makes another spin and now even Azriel’s stomach dips. She catches herself and blazes away once again. She twirls around Azriel when she changes direction. And then…
Out of the blue, words leave her mouth that nearly make Azriel lose balance, that nearly throw him off his wings and make him slam to the ground.
“Look, dad, I am flying like a bird. I am weightless and free” She makes another twirl, one big swirl around Azriel, grinning from one ear to the other, fully oblivious to what she has just said.
For a few months, he has flown with Elia, many times, more than he can count on both hands, but never has she called him anything but Azriel before. It is hard to catch himself now. Although he never admitted it, he has always hoped for a little family of his own and children. And now…now this might truly become reality.
The rest of the flying session passes too quickly, Azriel is unfocused, distracted but always careful so nothing happens to your daughter, but his thoughts stray, and he finds himself imagining a future where the three of you are truly a family – you and him married, and Elia calling him dad on a daily basis. It is a beautiful dream, so beautiful tears start to burn behind his eyes when he catches Elia in his arms and helps her lower herself to the ground.
She inhales deeply, then tucks in her wings. “I need to tell mummy about flying today, come come!” She tugs at Azriel’s hand, already setting out for your hut, dragging him along with her.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⊹ ࣪ ˖
You brush the wet sponge over his back, and softly move on to his left wing, careful not to touch the sensitive parts. Leaning in, you kiss the nape of his neck, then carry on to help him wash his back. Elia is already fast asleep, after telling you everything about the flying session while you ate dinner. It was wonderful to listen to her, and you couldn’t stop smiling when she recounted all the swirls and twirls she made and how much joy flying brings her.
The only thing that confused you, how absentminded Azriel seemed during dinner. He hardly added any comments, normally he loved talking about flying with Elia, this time he kept calm, was mostly distracted and you really hope he will open up what has been going on within him.
It is almost as if he can read your mind, because only a moment after you finish your thought, he says, in a voice full of emotion, “Elia called me dad today.”
You stop. Everything stops. Your hand folds over your mouth, to keep the gasp that threatens to escape contained. Tears start to build up in your eyes and then the sponge drops into the water. “Are you–is it–I hope–”
“I didn’t mind,” Azriel answers quickly, having noticed your sudden tension. He turns in the tub, tucking in his wings so he can look up at you. “Actually…” He inhales a deep breath and his eyes close. “I actually appreciated it a lot, and didn’t mind at all. I liked it,” he sheepishly admits. “I have always wanted children, and being with you and having Elia in my life as well has brought me more joy than anything else in my life before. I couldn’t be happier and her calling me dad…it felt so right.”
“It is alright for you?” you ask, carefully.
“Of course!” Azriel turns even more in the tub and places his hand on your knee. “Is it alright for you? She has a father after all and he–”
“He was an asshole and I never ever want her to have anything to do with him. You are the best thing that could happen to her, and I love that she has probably realised that as well. She has never asked for her father, she knows that he has caused us this pain, that her body is marred from fire because of his doings.”
You swallow around the lump in your throat and tears roll down your cheeks. “I couldn’t have hoped for a better father substitute than you. You are everything I could have ever asked for and she loves you.”
“And I love you, and our little…”
“Family,” you finish for him, cradling his face in your hands and kissing his lips softly.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⊹ ࣪ ˖
At first you hear a door open. Azriel is deep asleep, he doesn’t hear it and also not the soft padding of feet over the ground. The bed dips on your side, and you reach out your arms, lifting your daughter into the bed. “Can I sleep here tonight?”
You kiss her brow. “Of course, my love.
You help her crawl over your, so she can get comfortable between you and Azriel, snuggling up to your side, her face buried in the crook of your neck. Azriel stirs awake, but not completely, he mumbles a few incomprehensible words and then simply curls his arm around the both of you, inhaling deeply before falling right back asleep.
You have to smile to yourself, your heart so full of love and bliss, it nearly bursts out of your chest. And the smile stays on your lips when you fall asleep, the two most important people close to you, in your arms and you know that everything is alright and a bright future is ahead of you.

masterlist masterpost ask box
Liana texts you the day after your meet-up with Mat at the park, apologizing for getting angry with you and asking to go out for drinks. You don’t have it in you to still be upset with her for yelling at you because she was always the little sister you never had and just because you and Mat are having problems, doesn’t mean it should affect your relationship with her. Sometimes you wonder if you’re too quick to forgive and forget but you know that this is an exception.
“It’s just weird, y’know?” Liana mutters, laying her head on the dirty bar table. She’s on her third drink and you’re close to cutting her off. “I’m going to be an aunt again, but I have this odd feeling about Calista. Like she’s not telling the entire truth.”
You startle when she suddenly bolts upright and looks at you with wide eyes.
“What if Mat’s not the father? That would make so much sense!”
“How so?” you ask carefully. So far, you have successfully kept the fact that Calista is not pregnant a secret. It’s a secret you will have to take to your grave because you can’t let Marlee get in trouble when all she was doing was trying to help you. The truth might come out some day, but it’s something you will deal with then.
“Mat is just being weird about the whole thing, like he’s hiding something,” she says. “Well, besides the fact that he hasn’t told mom or dad… but there’s something else.” She picks up her glass and drinks the last of her martini before signinally the bartender for a refill.
“I think it’s time we switch you to Shirley Temples,” you say gently, asking the bartender for a couple glasses of water.
She tries to wave you off when you push the water towards her but you give her the all too familiar look that you used to give her when you were both younger.
“Fine, but if I’m getting cut off, so–” she stops talking abruptly, suddenly focused on something across the room. You turn and see a familiar face that makes your heart drop into your stomach because there’s no way she’s that stupid and you’re about to say something but Liana hops off her barstool and before you can stop her, she’s marching across the room to where Calista is sitting. She’s surrounded by a few other people, one of them being a guy you can’t quite place but definitely isn’t Mat, but the real kicker is the drink in her hand.
You’re not in the business of accusing people but the way she’s laughing loudly and swaying a little in her seat makes you think that it’s not a non-alcoholic drink. You stare a little too long because when you snap out of your stupor, it’s to a loud shriek and shouting. Nearly tripping over your own feet, you rush over to find both Calista and Liana being held back by people and shouting at each other. You manage to drag Liana out of the hands of the person holding her back but you can’t help but stare at Calista in shock. You know she’s not pregnant but you didn’t think she was stupid enough to test her luck by getting drunk at a bar and possibly being seen by people who think she is.
“I knew something was off about you,” Liana shouts at Calista who only now seems to realize that you are also in the room. Her face, which was red, pales considerably and her eyes widen when she looks at you.
“You are pregnant!” Liana shrieks and when you hear people gasping and the whispers start, you know you need to get Liana out of here now.
With strength you didn’t realize you have, you drag her outside. She shakes you off as soon as you’re out the doors and promptly throws up all over your shoes. You don’t give yourself time to be grossed out, pulling your phone out of your pocket and calling the first person you think of.
“Hello?” Jax mumbles and you’re panicking enough that you can’t feel sorry that you woke him up.
“I need you to pick us up,” you gasp and suddenly you’re sixteen again, calling him to pick you up from a party that you snuck out to.
Jax doesn’t hesitate before agreeing and asking where you are. You rattle off the name of the bar and he says he’ll be there in ten minutes even though you know his apartment is at least twenty minutes away. You’ve never been so grateful to have him as a friend.
“You didn’t call Mat, right?” Liana asks quietly and you look to see her sitting on the curb, looking absolutely miserable. Her eyes are filled with unspilled tears and you can only imagine what’s going on in her head.
“No,” you tell her, sitting down next to her and wrapping an arm around her. “I called Jax.”
She nods and leans her head on your shoulder. You sit in silence for a few minutes before she speaks and her voice is quiet and shaky.
“She was never pregnant, was she?”
Maybe it’s the natural motherly instinct in you, but you realize you can’t lie to her when she’s so upset.
“No,” you tell her and then she’s crying. You know that she’s drunk which makes her more emotionally vulnerable but you also know how sensitive she’s always been and it’s not a weakness. She wears her emotions on her sleeve and it’s only ever made her kinder and wiser than she should be for her age.
“I’m sorry,” she sobs. “I shouldn’t have taken my anger out on you when Mat told me but I was so confused and upset that he was keeping it from us.”
Then she’s crying even harder. “Oh god, what are we going to tell Mat?”
Truthfully, in the chaos of all this, you haven’t had the chance to think about what you’ll do about Mat. You know Liana won’t keep the truth from him and even if she did, word travels fast and he would eventually find out. You’re not certain he can mentally handle this, not with everything that’s going on between the two of you and his fragile relationship with Nora. He was just getting used to the fact that he has a daughter when Calista dropped the baby bomb on him and now to find out that it’s been a lie? You’ve no idea what he will do.
“I don’t know,” you tell her honestly and sigh in relief when you see Jax’s car come into view. You stand up, helping her back to her feet just as Jax parks and gets out to help you.
He looks worried but doesn’t say anything about yours or Liana’s appearance. Once you’re both settled in his car, he tells you he’s going to bring you both to his apartment for the night, obviously not feeling comfortable dropping you home when you’re upset and intoxicated. You know he’s right but all you want to do is curl up in your own bed.
“Alright,” you agree eventually and he nods, starting the drive back to his place. You must nod off because the next thing you know, Jax is gently shaking your arm, waking you up.
“I can’t carry you both in,” he jokes and you look back to see Liana completely knocked out. She grumbles when you wake her but she’s coherent enough to walk.
Jax’s boyfriend, Eli, already has their guestroom set up so you get Liana in the bed and then situate yourself on the air mattress. Jax leaves with a promise to check on you both throughout the night and if you weren’t so worried about Liana, you would tell him not to worry but you’re not taking any chances with her.
You lay awake for a while, not able to get the image of Calista drunk and with another guy out of your head. You don’t know how to tell Mat about it and Liana probably won’t either but eventually you drift off to sleep.
. . .
The next morning, you wake before Liana. Jax came in and checked on you both a few times before deciding that it was okay to leave you so you’re surprised to find him awake when you make your way out to the kitchen. It’s just past 8 o’clock but he’s cooking breakfast, singing off tune to Taylor Swift.
“Hey,” you say softly, sitting at the breakfast bar. You know he’s going to want an explanation because even though he let you off the hook last night, he’s going to want to know why Liana was crying and you had vomit on your shoes when he picked you up.
“Morning,” he replies, placing a coffee in front of you and a piece of plain toast. You can feel his eyes watching you eat and once you’re done, he looks at you expectantly.
“We saw Calista at the bar last night,” you explain. “Drunk and with some random guy.”
“Huh,” he says, so you look at him. His face is neutral, not showing if he’s surprised.
“What does huh mean?”
“I mean, you did say something was off about her.”
That was putting it lightly because although you couldn’t tell him the full story in fear that Marlee would lose her job, you did express your concerns about her without telling him that you knew she wasn’t pregnant.
“Yeah,” you sigh.
You hear shuffling from the guest room and look to see Liana walking into the kitchen. She plops down next to you and groans.
“I’m never drinking again,” she says and you can’t help but chuckle despite the circumstances.
“Said every hungover person ever,” you say and a small smile crosses her face before she frowns, clearly remembering last night's events.
“I have to tell Mat,” she says. “It’s not fair to him that she lied.”
You sigh but nod in agreement.
“I have to pick Nora up from my moms,” you tell her. “Are you okay to tell him yourself?”
You really don’t want to be there when Mat finds out, not when you’re dealing with your own feelings towards him.
“Yeah,” she says, eating the toast Jax offers her.
You both finish your coffee and then Jax drives you to your apartment and you drop Liana home before picking Nora up.
She’s ecstatic to see you, telling you everything she did with grandma from the moment you dropped her off until now picking her up.
“And then, Millie hissed at me but Gizmo barked and scared her away,” she takes a deep breath before continuing her ramblings. “Can we get a kitten?”
“You’re allergic, remember?” You remind her, and then a thought pops into your mind. Where did she see your mother’s neighbor's cat? “Where did you see Millie?”
“Mrs. Turner invited us over for tea,” she tells you and then offhandedly adds: “she asked about you and Mat.”
This doesn’t surprise you because Mrs. Edna Turner is quite the gossiper. You have trust in your mother that she didn’t tell Edna anything private but you’re still curious what exactly they talked about and you know that your child can be sneaky when she wants to be.
“What did Mrs.Turner ask?” you ask, rolling your eyes when she sighs dramatically and puts her tablet away.
“Well, first she asked if Mat was really my daddy and when Grandma said yes, she said ‘that poor child’,” she says, face scrunching up in confusion. “What does that mean?”
You make a mental note to talk to your mom about bringing Nora to any future tea parties at Mrs. Turner’s.
“Nothing,” you assure her. “What else did she say?”
“She told grandma that if she were you, she wouldn’t move me to New York.” Her eyes narrow and she frowns. “I thought you said we weren’t moving to New York.”
“We’re not.”
“Then how come Mrs.Turner said that?” she demands.
“‘Cause Mrs. Turner doesn’t know how to mind her own business,” you mumble and then sigh, looking at Nora so she’s listening. “We’re not moving to New York, okay?”
She nods and then smiles. “Can we go get ice cream?”
“Yeah, we can go get ice cream,” you tell her even though it’s nearly dinner.
Every once in awhile, ice cream for dinner is in order.
. . .
It’s past midnight when there’s a quiet knock on your door, and the only reason you’re awake to hear it is because Liana let you know she told Mat the truth about Calista. She told you that he had left the house as soon as she told him that morning and hadn’t returned home all day. You were expecting a text from him but your phone was silent and that worried you even more.
So, when you open the door to find Mat standing in front of you, red rimmed eyes and looking about two seconds away from crying, you don’t hesitate to let him inside. He slips past you and toes his shoes off before going straight for the couch and sitting down on it. You hesitate, but eventually settle down next to him.
He’s resting his elbows on his knees, hiding his face in his hands and it takes you a minute to realize he’s crying silently.
“Mat…”
“I just - fuck, I thought that this was my second chance, you know? It wasn’t ideal but I would get to do all the things I missed with Nora,” he says, scrubbing his hands over his face. “I was such an idiot.”
It’s not a dig towards you but you still can’t shake the guilt you always feel when he talks about everything he didn’t get to see. Her first steps, first words, first day of kindergarten. All the things you can never get back.
“It’s not your fault,” you say gently. “You couldn’t have known.”
“I should’ve,” he mumbles and before you can say anything, you hear soft footsteps coming down the hallway. You look to see Nora, rubbing her eyes sleepily and frowning when she sees Mat.
When he realizes she’s there, he wipes his eyes hastily but it’s not fast enough because Nora walks over to him and deepens her frown.
“Are you okay?” she asks quietly, reaching out and touching his cheek that’s still damp.
Mat looks like he’s going to say that he’s fine but seems to change his mind last minute. He smiles sadly and shakes his head.
“Not really, peanut,” he tells her and the frown on her face deepens even more than you thought possible.
“Mama says hugs make things better when you’re sad,” she says, sounding much wiser than a six-year-old should sound. Then, without asking, she climbs up onto his lap and wraps her tiny arms around his neck and hugs him. You can see the moment Mat breaks, hugging her back gently and it’s like all the tension drains from his body.
You call it the “Nora Effect”, because her little hugs always seem to make you feel better.
“I’m so sorry, Nora,” you hear Mat whisper and you know he’s going to beat himself up over everything that’s happened with Calista - and Nora deserves his apologies, but your kid is one of a kind and you know that she will forgive him.
With time, if he proves himself, he’ll have a place in her life and you can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
authors notes: so calista is goneeeee FINALLY. she wasn't supposed to be here as long as she was but I got too carried away with that storyline and i'm glad it's over lol also, I had mixed thoughts about having mama be the one who told Mat that Calista was lying but I just couldn't get it right so I figured next best thing would be Liana! ps: millie is named after my own cat who i will put a pic of in the comments below

It's the third day in a row that Wayne Munson has seen the girl in the diner.
Usually, he doesn't pay attention to new faces. He's been frequenting the diner for some years now and there's often ones he doesn't recognise: people passing through Hawkins, visiting family, etc.
The girl has caught his attention, though. She's sitting tucked into the far corner of the diner, a glass of water in front of her and nothing else. She's wearing the same t-shirt and flannel shirt she'd been wearing yesterday, and the day before, he's pretty sure. She didn't order any food yesterday; she hasn't ordered any food today.
Bev likes to joke he has a sense for kids who need help. Says there's an alarm in his head that makes him worry himself sick whenever there's a waif in need.
She's sitting next to him now, one eyebrow raised. He sighs. Waif in need alarm, indeed.
"What's the deal with the kid?" he murmurs, nodding subtly in the girl's direction.
Bev shrugs. "Beats me. That's Robert's girl, that's all I know."
He frowns. "Robert?"
"Nurse. Took good care of me when my knee went bad." She takes a swig of coffee, her eyes going sad. "Died, oh, maybe eight months back."
Wayne looks back at the girl. She's staring down at her half-empty glass of water. Tucked under the table there's a bulky-looking backpack.
"She got family?"
"Just her mother, far as I know. Met her a couple of times, too. 'Nother nurse. Seems nice enough."
"Hmph." Wayne turns back to his coffee. Ain't his business, he tells himself firmly. He should focus on his lunch.
When he gets up to pay, he glances once more in the girl's direction. He'll give it a couple of days, he decides. If she's still here then, still in the same clothes, he'll see if she's alright.
—
Wayne doesn't even last the day.
He's on his way home from work when he sees movement in a phonebox on the side of the road. The road's empty aside from him, and it's raining, and the sky's getting dark, so it immediately strikes him as odd. When he sees it's the teenage girl from earlier, he nearly crashes his truck with how hard he hits the brakes.
She's huddled down in the phonebox, clasping the backpack he'd noticed. She looks sodden. It had been raining heavier earlier; from the looks of it, she'd been caught in it. Her hair's plastered to her face and she's shivering.
He's winding down his window before his brain's even caught up to the movement. He's actually not sure how to go about it, very conscious of the fact that it's just the two of them out here and she's a teenage girl while he's an old man.
Feeling very much like he's approaching a wild animal, he clears his throat. "You okay, miss?"
The girl jumps, her head jerking up. She looks at him with wild eyes, wide and afraid. She reminds him of Eddie the day he showed up on his doorstep, timid and small.
"I'm f—fine." Her teeth chatter as she speaks. Where is this girl's mother? Where are her guardians?
"You need to call someone? I got a couple o'quarters, I think."
She shakes her head. Wayne frowns. Something ain't sitting right with him.
"You waiting on your ma?"
To his horror, her face crumples, and she buries her face in her arms. He's out of the truck like a shot, rushing over to find her shoulders heaving.
"Now, now—" He's panicking, admittedly. She can't be much younger than Eddie is.
"She—She—" the girl sobs. "She kicked me out and I—I don't have anywhere to go and it's so cold and wet and—and—"
A bout of rage washes over him. He pushes it down, tugging his jacket off and draping it over her shoulders. It doesn't have a hood, but it's dry. Christ, she must be soaked to the bone.
"Listen," Wayne starts, hesitating almost immediately. It's an insane suggestion from a strange man; he doesn't want to scare her off, but he doesn't want her spending the night in this phonebox, either. "I got a kid about your age. My Eddie. You come to mine and we can get you sorted out, okay? Or—Or I can find you a motel room, or something."
Sniffling, the girl looks up at him, wrapping herself up in his jacket. "Is that... is that okay?"
His heart breaks. "Yeah. Yeah, 'course."
She stands, wobbly, still clutching her backpack. She's soaked through like he'd thought, and she shivers once she's in the front seat. He's quick to turn the heating up, starting the truck again, and for a moment he's furious: her immediate agreement, the lack of hesitation about getting into a vehicle with a strange man, makes him boil with hatred towards this girl's mother.
The journey's quiet and, thankfully, not too long. Wayne ushers her into the trailer, already preparing to make a steaming mug of hot chocolate. Eddie's out at Jeff's for band practice, so he says, but Wayne knows him well enough to know he'll come home stinking of weed.
The girl stands awkwardly in the living room, still shivering. It occurs to him, suddenly, that he doesn't even know her name.
Still. An issue for later. He focuses on the hot chocolate. Once it's ready, he hands it over to her, and doesn't miss how eagerly she accepts it.
Only then does he broach the subject. "What's your name, miss?"
She's quiet a moment, cradling the mug in her hands. "It's Robin. Uh, Robin, sir."
"None of that 'sir' business," he says gruffly. "Name's Wayne. Eddie'll be home later but you can have his bed if you need a place to stay for the night."
This might be the most he's spoken in years, trying desperately to come across as reassuring. It breaks his heart how trusting she's being, though.
"Thank you." Robin goes quiet, her fingers curling around the handle of the mug. "I, um, I can pay you back for the ride—"
He waves a hand, frowning. "None of that. I'd like to think if it were my Ed in your shoes, someone would be there for him like this."
She manages a small smile. She's still in her soaking clothes. He hustles over to Eddie's room, raiding the drawers for whatever looks most comfortable. Eddie won't complain, he knows.
Robin gratefully accepts the clothes. He goes back into Eddie's room to give her privacy, unsure exactly how long to wait. There's that stereotype that women take forever to change, right? It must hold some truth.
He gives it an hour, just to be safe. When he emerges, he finds that she's curled up on the couch, out like a light. His jacket's pulled up to her chin like a blanket.
Waif in need alarm. He sighs. Bev's right after all. He won't be surprised if this situation resolves with him having another kid in his care.
Well, Eddie always wanted a sister, anyway.

We love a writing prompt challenge - I'd love to see what you do with post!outbreak Joel and ❛ what if i hurt you? ❜
smut prompt challenge
Thank you so much for sending this one in to me my darling! <3 I decided to be a little adventurous with this one, I hope you like it. Also, it turned out to be a longer than I meant to, it was supposed to just be a blurb/short drabble and it turned into a 3k oneshot. Whoopsie. I am not at the point where I can write smut with no plot, I have to have at least a teensy bit of plot lmao.
pairing: Joel Miller x Female Reader
warnings/tags: 18+ only, minors dni. explicit. post outbreak, set in Jackson. established relationship. jealous/possessive/slightly intoxicated Joel. reader is just a lil bit toxic too. rough sex, p in v sex, unprotected sex, bit of spanking, praise and pet names. very lightly implied age gap (reader is referred to as kid by an older side character but she’s in her mid to late 20s, Joel is canon age, mid 50’s; purely self indulgent with the age thing tbh) okay, I think I got it all.

“Alright kid, I’m heading out for the night,” Seth announced, flipping off all of the lights inside of The Tipsy Bison. He made sure to leave one last dim yellow light on for you so that you could finish cleaning up around the bar. He tossed you a set of keys to the building from where he stood near the front door. As he shrugged into his blue denim jacket, he asked you one last time, “Are you sure you’re going to be okay locking up the place all on your own at this hour?”
You couldn’t help but laugh a little. You walked over towards him, twirling the set of keys between your fingers. “Oh please. What could possibly happen to me in a secured, gated community where everybody knows everybody, Seth?” You questioned him, shaking your head slightly. “And besides, it’s not like we’ve got a register full of cash just waiting to be robbed. It’s the end of the world, so I think I’ll be just fine closing up shop.”
“Well, you got me there,” he sniffed. “I suppose I don’t have anything to worry about.” He paused, lowering his voice as he added, “And much less when you have your very own guard dog sitting over there and keeping his watchful eye on you.”
You glanced over your shoulder at Joel. He was sitting at the opposite end of the long bar nursing what had to be his third or fourth glass of barrel aged bourbon; even after all the shit you two had been through together over the last several months while making the dangerous and violent trek across the country, Joel had never, not once, behaved like this with you. He had never been this ridiculously overprotective of you, not until you’d begun working as one of the evening bartenders at The Tipsy Bison. He wasn’t all too fond of your new role in Jackson, and he’d made it abundantly clear by dropping in late at night to make sure the rowdier male patrons who would frequent the bar after evening patrol were behaving, keeping their hands to themselves—and off of his girl.
You turned back to Seth, flashing him a sheepish, apologetic smile. “Look, I know he can be kind of rough around the edges sometimes. But he’s not all that bad, you know?”
“Kind of rough around the edges? One look from Miller can send anyone running for their lives in the other fucking direction,” he remarked with an amused snort as he pushed the door open. “Be sure to turn off that last light before you leave, kid. Oh, and don’t forget that I’m going need you here tomorrow at three for the opening shift, alright?”
“Got it. See you tomorrow,” You said, giving him a little wave as he left. You pulled the door closed and locked it behind him, giving it a gentle tug to make sure it was secure. Shoving the set of keys into the back pocket of your light blue denim cut off shorts, you made your way back across the quiet, empty bar and over towards Joel. You let out a soft sigh, lightly draping an arm around his shoulders. “Joel, please. It’s almost one o’ clock in the morning. I still have quite a bit to do around here before I can leave,” You stated. You reached up, affectionately running your fingers through his graying, dark brown curls. “You have patrol duty in a few hours. Go home and get some sleep. I’ll be fine on my own.”
He scoffed. “Ain’t no way in fuckin’ hell I’d let you walk home alone at this hour.”
You sighed again, withdrawing your hand from his hair as you stepped back.
Joel turned on the bar stool he’d been perched on for most of the night, his dark brown eyes taking the sight of you in; they glazed over your fitted, tight black tee shirt with a neckline that scooped way too low and exposed too much skin for his liking. His lips pressed together into a thin, tight line as his gaze wandered down further, noticing how the frayed hem of your cut offs fell a couple of inches above the middle of your thighs. “You really gotta fuckin’ wear that outfit every night?”
You glanced down at yourself, frowning. “What’s wrong with my outfit?”
“I just don’t fuckin’ like it,” he muttered gruffly, his fingers holding onto his glass of whiskey in a near death grip. “You’re showin’ off way too goddamn much. Every fucker you served tonight got more than a fuckin’ eyeful. I probably watched ‘bout a dozen idiots stare at your tits and openly flirt with you right in front of me, you know that?”
“There’s a reason why this is the uniform I have to wear, Joel,” You teased with a giggle, hoping to ease the tension that was practically radiating off of the man.
“You fuckin’ enjoyin’ this?” He asked bitterly as he glared at you. He drained the rest of his drink and slammed the empty glass down onto the counter with a little more force than what was necessary. His jealousy was seeping out of him, and you’d be a damned dirty liar if you said you didn’t find it so incredibly hot.
“Mm, just a little bit,” You replied with another tiny giggle. You leaned up against the bar and crossed your arms over your chest, your gaze meeting his; you noticed the way the seething anger flashed in his dark eyes. His raw, raging emotions were only exacerbated by the amount of bourbon he’d had to drink that night. “Oh lighten up, Joel! I’m only kidding and you know that. Listen, the outfit and the flirting, it’s just part of my job as a bartender. It’s something that all the girls around here have to do. I’m just eye candy for the lonely and horny patrolmen who have nothing better to do with their free time. Besides, Seth makes it very clear to all the fucking guys around here that they can look but they can’t touch—”
“I don’t give a fuck!” Joel snarled, suddenly rising to his feet. “I don’t give a fuck if they don’t touch you, alright? I don’t want those bastards lookin’ at you, hell I don’t even want any of them so much as fuckin’ breathin’ in your direction!” He drew closer towards you, his voice going so dangerously low it sent a little chill right up the length of your spine. “You’re mine, you fuckin’ understand me? You are mine.”
Your playful smile faded slightly.
His possessiveness should have bothered you. It should have angered you, even. You were a human being, not his piece of property. But as you drank in the sight of him, the way his hands curled into fists at his sides, the way his nostrils flared, and not to mention that all too familiar murderous look in his eye, you couldn’t help the wanting heat that flooded your lower belly.
“Then take me,” You murmured, your voice soft.
Joel sobered up ever so slightly. “What?”
“I didn’t stutter, Joel. I said, take me.”
Joel stared at you, mouth agape. “You’ve lost your damn mind. We’re in a fuckin’ bar—”
“A dimly lit, locked bar with no one else around,” You smirked, pulling your top down to expose the black lace bra you wore underneath. “You say I’m yours, so show me. Right here, right now.”
Joel’s cock twitched behind his zipper, his mouth going dry when he caught a glimpse of the way the soft, delicate lace hugged the delicious curve of your breasts. He opened his mouth to speak, but words failed him as he watched you bite down on your bottom lip and tilt your head up at him, batting your eyelashes innocently—you knew how to play him just like a fucking fiddle.
“Baby, no. Not here.”
You pouted playfully. “Don’t you want me?”
“Not like this,” he rasped, although the continued straining against the dark blue denim of his jeans stated otherwise. “I’m drunk, I’m pissed off—I just don’t trust myself with you right now.”
You smiled sweetly at him and stepped forward to shrink the gap of distance between your bodies.
You slid your hands underneath his brown jacket and pushed it off his shoulders, letting it fall to the floor. You placed a hand on his chest, right over his heartbeat as your eyes met his. “I trust you.”
He rigidly shook his head. “What if I hurt you?”
“I trust you,” You reassured him. “Please, Joel. I just need you to fuck me, right here, right now. I need you to show me that I’m all yours. Yours and only—”
Joel didn’t even bother to let you finish.
He reached out for you and pulled your body flush against his, his mouth crashing violently against yours; his tongue darted through your parted lips, dominating your own in a way that made you melt into a submissive little puddle right in his large hands. He wasted no time, moving his lips down to your neck where he started nipping and biting at your delicate flesh with his teeth—hard enough that your silky skin would be covered in discolored marks tomorrow. But any worries about him being too rough had gone out the window. He wanted to mark his territory. He wanted every motherfucker in Jackson to know you belonged to him.
“Joel,” You moaned out his name and clutched fistfuls of his dark green flannel shirt.
He said nothing, allowing his mouth to continue ravaging you as his hands started ridding you of your clothes; he broke contact for as second, just long enough to pull your shirt over your head. You aided him and reached around yourself to unhook your bra, carelessly tossing it somewhere behind the bar. Your shorts and matching lace underwear came off next, along with your tan brown cowboy boots.
Normally, Joel would take his time. He’d kiss and worship his way across every inch of your entire body, but not tonight—no, tonight he was going to take you quickly, roughly. Between all the alcohol and his pent up frustrations, being gentle was the very last thing on his mind.
“C’mere.” Joel yanked you over towards a small, square wooden table just a few feet away from the bar, the same damn table where patrons would enjoy their after work duty drinks. He gripped the back of your neck and shoved you down, bending you right over the table; you let out a little gasp as your warm, naked body hit the cold, laminated wood. His rough, calloused hands glided their way down your smooth back and he took a single step backwards to admire the view. “Open up for me, sweetheart. Let me see you—all of you.”
You glanced over your shoulder at him with lustful, hooded eyes. Biting your lower lip, you did as you were told and spread your legs, your entire body erupting in goosebumps as the chilly air coming from the vents of the building hit your throbbing center.
Joel groaned, noticing the way your inner thighs were slick, coated with your own arousal. “Look at you, my pretty girl. Already soakin’ wet for me and I haven’t even touched you yet.”
Giggling, you turned away from him and pushed your feet apart even wider. You then opened your mouth to speak, but instead let out a loud yelp when you felt him deliver a swift but harsh strike to your ass with the palm of his hand.
He’d never fucking done that before.
Joel began kneading at the spot he’d just struck you with his fingers so aggressively that you were certain you’d find bruises there in the morning.
The thought alone made you drip onto the floor.
“Joel—” You lifted yourself slightly off of the table.
“Stay down,” he commanded, pushing you back down.
You nodded and pressed your cheek flat against the table, your wet, aching walls clenching in pure anticipation as you heard his belt buckle clinking followed by the sweet sound of his zipper coming undone. Seconds later, the tip of his rock hard length pressed against your drenched slit.
You spread your legs even wider, prompting Joel to chuckle.
“You want me bad, don’t you my little darlin’?” he nearly taunted you. “Hm? You want me inside that pretty little pussy?”
“God yes I do—please fuck me,” You pleaded him. “Please, Joel. Please.”
He hummed. “Since you’re bein’ an awfully good girl and askin’ so politely…”
Joel didn’t even finish his sentence. There was a momentary pause and before you could ask him what the hell he was waiting for, he slammed into you, sheathing himself in your tight heat.
No warning. No warmup.
No time for you to think about anything except for the feeling of his thick, hard cock filling you up and stretching you completely.
You gasped out as all the air left your lungs. “Joel!”
Gripping your shoulders, he slid himself out of you entirely before delivering another powerful blow, one that had you seeing fucking stars. He didn’t give your body any time to adjust to him as he began to thrust, picking up a wild pace that you felt would split you in half if he didn’t ease up.
He’d fucked you plenty of times before—but never like this.
Senseless.
You gripped the edges of the table, gasping for a breath—you tried to cry out, but when you opened your mouth, all that came out were quick, pathetic little pants, desperate for air.
It hurt.
But the kind of hurt that felt so fucking good that you wanted more and more of it.
“You look so goddamn pretty, takin’ my cock like that,” Joel grunted out. His hands had abandoned your shoulders in favor of your hips, his fingers bruising the soft flesh there. “What a fuckin’ good girl you are for me, baby. Such a good girl—”
Planting your shaky hands on the table top, you pushed yourself up.
Joel’s hands left your hips. He slid an arm around your shoulders, pulling your naked back against his broad, clothed chest where he held you firmly in place as he continued to fuck you into oblivion with his barbaric, almost animalistic thrusts.
“Who do you belong to?” he whispered into your ear, his other hand resting on your stomach. “Tell me, darlin’. Who do you belong to?”
“You,” You somehow managed to choke out a reply between gasps. “I belong to you, Joel.”
“Yeah? You’re mine? All fuckin’ mine?”
You could only nod your head in response.
Joel’s arm around you tightened. “Say it,” he demanded. “I need you to say it.”
“I’m yours, all fucking yours!”
His hand moved from your stomach and dove between your thighs, two of his fingers finding your clit as swollen and sensitive as it had ever been. His digits circled the bundle of nerves, causing your legs to tremble as you felt the beginning of an orgasm coiling tight in your lower belly.
“Oh fuck,” You breathed out in a moan. “Joel, I’m gonna—”
“Come for me baby,” he encouraged you huskily, his breath hot against your ear. “I want you to come all over my cock like the good girl you are.”
Finally, you managed to find your cries inside of you; they tore themselves from your throat where they had been lodged, echoing throughout the entire, empty bar as you came undone, your walls clenching tightly around him.
“Fuck baby,” Joel released a deep, guttural groan and shoved you back over the table, pinning you down on it with both his hands as he spilled inside of you.
He leaned over you, his body hovering over yours as the two of you took a minute to catch your breath. He gave one final gentle thrust, groaning again when he felt the way you fluttered around him.
“Already wantin’ more sweetheart?” Joel planted a gentle kiss on your shoulder before finally pulling out of you. He stepped back, pulling his jeans back up into place; he stopped for just a moment, noticing the way his cum dripped out of you and slowly trickled down the inside of your thighs. Resisting the primal urge to take you all over again, he zipped up his jeans and buckled his belt. He then realized you still hadn’t moved and a frown tugged at the corners of his mouth. “Baby I didn’t hurt you did I—”
“Shut up,” You told him, lazily waving a hand at him. “Don’t ruin it.”
Joel couldn’t help but chuckle as he shook his head. “You really are somethin’ else, you know that?”
“Mhm, but that’s why you love me,” You reminded him, glancing over your shoulder at him with a tiny little smirk.
Joel leaned over, quickly feathering a trail of kisses down your spine before he started walking around the bar and picking up your clothes. He handed them to you along with his jacket and helped you clean yourself up with a clean rag from behind the bar. As you dressed, he disappeared behind the counter once more, returning just moments later with a glass of bourbon in one hand and another clean, damp cloth in the other. “Sit,” he ordered, pointing to a bar stool and you obeyed. You sipped on the hard liquor watching as he started wiping down the table. Discarding the cloth into a garbage bin, he began putting all the chairs up on the tables for you. Looking around, he asked, “What else do you need me to do?”
Setting the glass down, you stood up and shook your head. “Don’t worry about it. I’ll come in early tomorrow and finish up my tasks before the bar opens.” You smiled tiredly at him. “Let’s just go home, yeah?”
“Yeah, you need to get some rest—” Joel stopped, his dark eyes widening when he caught a glimpse of the marks that had already begun forming on your neck. “Shit,” he muttered as he hurried over to you. He moved the lapels of his jacket out of the way and touched them delicately. “You’re not gonna be able to hide these, baby.”
“It’s fine,” You grinned at him. “At least now, everyone will know who I belong to.”

Mixed signals.
Misread signs.
That’s all it seems anymore when it comes to Johnnie.
You thought you made your feelings for him pretty clear, but according to Johnnie, you didn’t.
“Did you see that girls Instagram?” Avani leans in to you and you notice your other friend try and signal her not to ask.
“It’s fine.” You force a small smile, “And yes. I did.” You finish your drink, “If he’s happy. I’m happy.”
As you get up and walk away, you hear Ellie scold her for asking. Ellie knew more about the situation, the details pertaining what happened between you and Johnnie.
“Hi, can I three shots of tequila and then a blue popcicle, please.” You sigh as the bartender nods, “oh, and can you make that popcicle one a double shot, please.”
“You got it.” He smiles and goes to make your drink.
You look around, the club was pretty packed tonight, which isn’t a surprise for it being a Friday night.
“Here’s your sh-“
You down one, “Can I get another. Just add it to my tab, y/l/n.”
“I can do that.” He laughs slightly and takes the empty shot glass off the bar.
You lean against the counter, the alcohol was already coursing hard through your system. It was only a matter of time before Johnnie’s name became topic of conversation, so you had to be drunk for that.
“Here’s your drink and your shots, do you need help?”
You shake your head, “I think I got it, can you just… nevermind.” You take your shot and grab the other two, along with your drink and walk back to the table.
“Here, I’ve already had two.” You laugh as you set the small glasses down gently, “I couldn’t carry a third.”
“I think it’s time to slow down, y/n.” Ellie says before taking her shot. She laughs, “Fuck that. Let’s go dance.”
You’re pulled to the dance floor by your girl friends, immediately falling into a rhythm of dancing to the beat of the music.
You spin around, eyes on the door and you see Johnnie walk in. Jake and the girl from Instagram by his side.
You spin away, pointing behind you subtly to Ellie and she leans out, her jaw dropping slightly as she leans back in, “What the fuck?”
You shrug, “Don’t know. Don’t care.”
You grab her hand, along with Avani’s and spin them around.
You were having a good time, key work were. Now you just wanted to go home, crawl into bed, and pass out for the next day and a half.
You felt eyes on you.
You knew exactly who they belonged to.
But you chose to avoid it. Dancing with the girls, and soon enough, you had attention being drawn to you because two hot girls dancing together like this was enough to get anyone’s attention.
Your hands roaming up and down Ellie’s body. Avani, who was behind you, holding your hips as you grinding against her.
Everyone loves the three drunk bitches.
“I need another drink.” You laugh as you walk over to the bar, squeezing in wherever you could fit.
The same bartender walks up, “Another shot?” He smirks and you tilt your head, “Mmm, how about you surprise me?”
He nods, giving you a smirk, “Gotcha.”
You look across the bar, seeing Johnnie talk to Jake. Jake was the first to notice you, quickly departing his group to come say hi to you.
“What’s up, what’s up, what’s up?” He says as he walks up, embracing you in a hug, “Haven’t seen you around in a while. What the hell happened?”
You raise your brows, “I’ve just.. um. Been busy, I guess.” You shrug, “I don’t know. What have you been up to?”
He shrugs, “you know, vloggin’ travelin’. The same.”
You nod, “Are you vlogging your night out?” You laugh and Jake laughs, “I mean, I wasn’t going to, but now that you say something.”
He pulls his phone out and starts to record, “What up! I’m Jake, and I’m drunk, if you couldn’t already tell.” He laughs and motions to you with his thumb, “Look at who I found here at the club.”
“Hey hey hey.” You laugh, leaning forward to take your shot. The bartender watches you take it and you nod, “Oh that’s so good.”
The bartender smiles, “Glad you like it.”
“Can I get two more of whatever the hell that was?”
He nods, “Absolutely.”
“You’re taking a shot with me.” You point to Jake and he nods, “Yes ma’am.”
You knew that Johnnie seeing you talk to Jake would ruffle his feathers, and that’s exactly what you wanted. You were done being the one to chase.
You wanted to be chased.
“Here you go.” The bartender slides over two shots and you grab them, handing one to Jake, “Cheers!”
“Cheers!” Jake yells and you both take your shots.
“Holy fuck, that is good.” Jake shoves the shot glass into his pocket and you point, “What are you doing?”
“Shhh.” He laughs, “I like to steal things from restaurants and bars.”
“Oh my god.” You laugh, “I’ll see you later.”
“Hey, don’t be a stranger, we miss ya around the house.”
You give him a thumbs up as you walk away, finding your friends on the dance floor and continuing to dance for a while.
——
As you’re walking to the bathroom, you notice the girl Johnnie brought with walking out.
You keep your head up, walking past her towards the bathroom, but she grabs your arm, “Oh my god, y/n, hi.”
“Do I know you?” You tilt your head, pulling your arm from her. She shakes her head, “No, but I’m a friend of Johnnie’s. I know you guys are close.”
You laugh at her words, “Are we?” You look at her and she looks confused, “I’m sorry I-“
“I have to pee.” You walk into the bathroom and go into the stall. You sit down, pulling your phone up to check it.
You have a few messages, nothing important.
You finish up, walking out to see your friends standing there, “Thought we lost you.” Avani laughs, “Here, let’s take some pictures.”
You wash your hands and dry them, moving back to stand next to them to pose for some pictures.
Your mood was lifted once again, laughing with your two friends as you walk back out into the club, but was quickly ruined by that girl pointing and Johnnie turning around.
“Oh shit.” You mumble, taking a deep breath as Johnnie walks up to you, “Hey.”
“What’s up?” You look from the ground up to him, “Look, if this is about-“
“What’s going on with you?” Johnnie cuts you off and you scoff, “What?”
He glances at your friends and they take a few steps back. Johnnie pushes you over to the corner and leans in, “Tay said that she tried introduce herself to you and you just blew her off.”
You shrug, “I had to pee, pretty bad actually. What? Did you want me to stand there making small talk about you while I just let the flood gates open?”
He furrows his brows, “Wait.. Small talk about me?”
“Really, that’s what you’re focusing on?” You laugh, shaking your head, “It’s been fun, but I gotta run.”
Johnnie grabs you hand, stopping you from walking away, “Y/n, wait.”
“We’re done here, Johnnie.” You stare at him as you slip your hand from his, “We can talk when we’re both sober. Maybe.” You shrug, “I don’t know.”
“What do you mean? Y/n, I’m not drunk.” Johnnie argues but you force yourself to walk away, forcing a smile towards Tay as you walk by.
“I’m ready to go home.” You mumble as you pull out your phone, “I’m getting an Uber, are you guys coming with me?”
Ellie tilts her head, “What was that about?”
“Can we not talk about this right now?” You glance up at her and she nods, “Okay.”
——
Once arriving home, you make your way to your room, allowing Avani and Ellie to crash in the guest room.
You sit down on the bed, letting out a sigh as you lay back. You bring your phone up, seeing texts from Johnnie, but you laugh, dropping your phone down on to the bed beside you.
You sit back up, closing your eyes as the alcohol goes straight to your head.
You stand up, changing into a t shirt and shorts before walking down the hall to the spare room. You push the door open, stopping when you see the two girls snoozing away, still in their heels.
You laugh quietly and close the door, walking out to your kitchen.
You grab some water and stand there. You should have left your phone in your room, seeing as your screen keeps lighting up.
You knew it was Johnnie.
You really didn’t want to deal with him, not like this.
You’ve been friends for a while, growing close almost immediately. You felt the tension, and you for sure thought Johnnie felt it, too.
But you were wrong.
Maybe you were being a little, dramatic about it, mainly because you were head over heels for this man, but that still didn’t explain why you were so hung up on him.
You kept coming back to him, the thought of him. Wanting to be with him and only him.
You tried dating, but no one compares to Johnnie.
You loved Johnnie.
You just wished he felt the same, but seeing him tonight with the girl from Instagram, made you realize that maybe he just doesn’t feel the way you do.
You were on two different pages apparently, and you just had to get over him.
Were you going to? No.
You reach for your phone, sighing as you go into the text thread. Your eyes scan down over the messages, scoffing at the ones to where he called you rude because you didn’t stop and talk to Tay.
Y/n, please text me. Or call me, I don’t really care. I just want to talk to you.
Please.
Something is off with you, you say hi to Jake but not me? I thought you were supposed to be my best friend.
I’m not trying to start anything, mainly because I know you were drunk, but next time, please don’t be rude to any of my other friends.
You start typing, zoning out as your thumbs hit the screen in a quick pace.
Honestly, Johnnie. What do you expect from me? I was having a good night, a great night until I seen you walk in with her.
You stare at the message, highlighting the text and deleting it before you start typing again.
Sorry I didn’t stop and have tea and crumpets with your new girl, my apologies.
You hit send, laying your phone face down on the counter before you chug your water from your bottle.
Maybe being an asshole will get you past these feelings, maybe treating him like someone who hurt you is the way to go.
It’s not.
You let out a sigh, the feeling of guilt from your test settling in and you reach out to grab your phone, typing away at trying to fix what you started.
I’m sorry. I’m tired and just not in the mood for any drama. I’m sorry that I was a bitch to Tay. I’m sorry I didn’t say hi to you. What more do you want me to say?
You stare at the text, shaking your head as you laugh the tears away, “Fuck.” You delete the message, locking you phone.
You go to walk away and you hear the buzz against the countertop.
You hesitate at first, but you pick it up, accepting the call, “Hello.”
“I’m, uh, actually surprised that you picked up.” Johnnie laughs slightly and you raise your brows, nodding silently, “Yeah, me too.”
“What’s going on with you?”
“Nothing.” You lean forward, forehead resting against your other palm, “I’m just, tired. I can feel my hangover settling in.”
“That’s not everything.” Johnnie states, “I know you.”
“Can we not do this now, my friends are asleep and I really don’t want to argue with you.”
“Who said we’re arguing?” Johnnie’s tone is confused, “Seriously, y/n. What did I do to piss you off so much?”
“How do you know I’m mad at you?” You tilt your head, “I never once said -“
“You don’t have to say anything, y/n. I know you.”
“Clearly..” you breathe out, “You don’t.”
You hang up and set your phone down, groaning quietly as you rest your head on the counter, “What the fuck.”
Your phone vibrates again but you hit the lock button to silence it.
It vibrates again, and you repeat your action.
You watch the screen and a text pops up. You slide your phone over, unlocking it to read Johnnie’s text.
If you hang up one me one more time, I’m coming over. We’re not done with this conversation.
His call comes through, and you decide to test his bluff. You lock the screen once more and that’s the last you heard from Johnnie.
At least, for twenty minutes.
You’re still standing at the counter when there’s a quiet knock on your door. You stare at it, letting out a sigh before you push yourself up.
You walk over and open it, staring at Johnnie who’s on the other side.
“Something’s gotta give.” He shrugs, laughing slightly, “Please, just, talk to me.”
You motion for him to come in, “Ellie and Avani are sleeping so..”
“I know, I know. No arguing.” Johnnie smirks and you roll your eyes as you close the door, taking a deep breath to compose yourself.
If anyone wakes them up, it’ll be your yelling.
You turn around, walking over to sit on the stool by the counter, “What do you want to talk about?” You watch as Johnnie sits on the stool in front of you, “I just want to know why you’re giving me the cold shoulder. We were fine, and then all of a sudden you go-“
“I didn’t get anything. Maybe, before putting the blame on me, you take a look at yourself and ask, hmm, maybe it is me. What did I do to upset y/n, huh?”
“So you are mad at me.”
“No i-“ you sigh, propping your arm up on the counter, your hand covering your face, “Johnnie.”
He lays a hand on your knee, leaning in, “Is it Tay?”
You keep your hand over your face, keeping every muscle in your body still, “No.” you shake your head, turning to look at him, “As long as you’re happy.”
“Do you think we’re together?” He laughs slightly and you roll your eyes, “This isn’t funny, Johnnie.”
“No. You’re right. It’s not, but at the same time..”
“What.” You look at him and he shrugs, “Maybe if you didn’t avoid me, you would know she is someone who’s going to be in my never music video and that we’re just friends.”
Just friends.
You stay silent, your brain swirling around with thought after thought until Johnnie snaps you out of it, “Hey. What happened?”
You shake your head, “Nothing, I’m just.. tired.”
“From all the dancing, huh?” He smirks and you roll your eyes again, “Yeah, sure.”
“Come on, y/n. We were so close and then..” he shrugs, “We fell apart, I don’t understand.”
“Are you that dumb?” Your question comes off harsher than intended and you close your eyes, “Sorry, I didn’t.. mean it like that.”
He nods, “I mean, yeah, kind of.” He laughs, “But can you elaborate on why you’re asking?”
You wanted to spill your guts. Tell him everything. Beg him to love you, but you weren’t going down to that level.
You were done doing the chasing, as said.
It was his turn, if he even wanted it.
“Were you jealous of Tay?”
His question was like nails on a chalkboard, “No.”
“That doesn’t sound very convincing, y/n.”
“Were you jealous when Jake came over to say hi?” You look up, expecting a whole different answer from what you got.
He nods, “Yeah, actually. He gave me his phone and I just kept rewatching the video. I haven’t seen you smile like that in weeks.”
You shrug, “Sorry.”
After a moment of silence, “I’ve been missing the signals, having I?” Johnnie sighs quietly and looks up at you.
All you can do is nod.
“Is everything this there?” He asks and you nod, giving him a shrug, “Hasn’t left. No matter how hard I tried..” you shake your head, “I thought I was over you, but I knew I wasn’t the minute I saw you with someone else.”
He nods, “I’m the one who should be saying sorry.”
You scoff, raising your brows, “It’s fine.”
“It’s not.” He moves closer, “I hurt you without knowing, but I should have known. That’s on me, y/n, okay?”
He reaches out, touching your cheek, “I-“ he sighs, “I have no excuse. I just must be that dumb.” He laughs slightly.
You smile, laughing quietly, “it was getting really pathetic for me to still hope it was you and me in the end.”
“It can be.” Johnnie cups your cheek, “If you want it to be, it ca-“
You pull him in, closing the space between your bodies.
Your lips on his and you’re basically straddling him on the bar stool. His arm wraps around your waist and his other hand stays on your cheek as he moves to stand up.
You pull him to the steps and you go into your room, your shirt instantly coming off, leaving you in nothing but your shorts.
Johnnie is quick to undress, his eyes never leaving your body as you lay on the bed.
He walks over, his body moving up yours as he leaves kisses over your chest and up your neck. His hand travels down your body and you wrap your arm around his neck, “I love you, Johnnie Guilbert.”
He smiles against your skin, leaning back to kiss your lips, “I love you, y/n y/l/n.”
You work to get your shorts off while he pushes down his boxers. He reaches down, aligning his cock with your aching cunt and glides in.
You gasp, head tilting back as you’re engulfed in the feeling of the pleasure you’ve been waiting for.
“Fuck, fuck.” You gasp, your chest rising and falling quickly as you pant, “Feels so good.”
“You’re everything I dreamed about.” He mumbles against yours lips, moving to plan kisses back your jaw line as he starts to thrust.
His thrusts are slow.
Full of passion.
Your legs wrap tightly around his waist as your nails drag up his back, earning a low groan from him, “Fuck.” His lips attack your neck, leaving love bites along your skin.
You moan out quietly, your back arching up from the bed as his thrusts grow faster.
He sits up more, his hands on the mattress beside your head. He looks down at you, lip pulled between his teeth as he watches your face twist with pleasure.
“You’re so pretty.” He whispers as he leans down to connect your lips with his, “I’ve been missing out on so much.”
You nod, “You have.”
You slide your hand up to his hair, your fingers tugging as your walls squeeze his cock, “Fuck, fuck. I’m almost there.”
He nods, kissing down your neck and over your shoulder before kissing back up to your ear, “Cum for me.”
You tighten your limbs around him, whimpering out as he guides you closer and closer, “Fuck, Johnnie.” You gasp out, eyes rolling back as you come undone, “F-fuck.”
He groans as he feels your walls pulse around him, moaning out as you kiss his neck, biting the skin to give him matching hickies.
He slides his hand up, cupping your cheek and tilting his head down to plant his lips on yours.
“You’ll never have to question my feelings for you.” Johnnie whispers, “ever again.”
You bite down on his lip, tilting your head back which earns a gasp, “Fuck.” He licks his lips, groaning as you tug on his hair.
He kisses you once more before burying his face into your neck, “I’m gonna cum.”
You nod, “Fuck, okay.” You moan out as he thrusts deeper, gasping as he pulls your body closer to his. His lips trail back up your neck and you swallow his moans as you feel his cock twitch.
He pulls out, spilling his cum onto your stomach with a sharp gasp, “Shit.”
He lays next to you, staring up at you, “I really am sorry, sweetheart.”
You nod, “It’s okay.” You sit up slightly, leaning in to kiss him, “You can make up for it all you want.”
