Actually I think Iâll die mad at my bros high school girlfriend. I hope she gets stuck in stop-and-go traffic for an hour every time she travels for more than 20 minutes.
#ra speaks#personal#sorry I remembered her today randomly and it made my blood boil#one time my bro said she thought I didnât like her which wasnât true at the time but ohhh girly if I see you on the streetsâŠ#youâre getting the coldest shoulder of your life#I got a notif from Instagram randomly the other day abt her thatâs what reminded me#she and him dated p much his entire high school career#and she had severe anxiety but was also highly social#so as a result my bro was always supporting her + basically only hung out w her friends and such#which like isnât a bad thing even tho I think he shouldâve tried to make his own friends and time for them#she needed support and someone to talk her down over the phone at 9 PM or whatever and he was willing to do that#sheâs a year ahead of him so she goes to college. they both know long distance is gonna be a pain#so they mutually agree that if it doesnât feel like itâs working out theyâll talk face to face for a break up#I think almost a year into a pretty steady long distance thing with regular phone calls and irl vacations together#(also the calls were so well scheduled we literally called it T*** Time whenever my bro dipped to call her)#anyways she doesnât answer his calls or texts for a few days and then she BREAKS UP WITH HIM OVER TEXT#she ignores his attempts to call her/stops responding to his texts abt it bc they BOTH agreed to break up face to face#she cuts him off burned bridges everything overnight no warning#and THEN. THEN. she has her DAD (whoâs become a bit of a family friend up until this point) BRING OVER EVERY GIFT AND HOODIE MY BRO EVER#GAVE HER. EVEN FRAMED PICTURES OF THEM TOGETHER. and that was it.#Iâm still. so fucking pissed on his behalf. frankly amazed he didnât turn into an incel-type out of spite#like WHAT THE HELL happened to make her turn and cut him off so quick??? they were going steady and my bro was devestated bc he legitimately#didnât know if he said/did something to upset her and she wouldnât respond to let him know WHY out of a sudden and vague âI donât think this#is working outâ which like. GIRL YOU COULDNT HAVE DROPPED A HINT OR TWO??#idk it just feels like all the time he spent supporting her in high school/how much of HIS time was spent taking care of her#and exclusively socializing with HER friends (which he never really clicked w so to speak)#itâs like he was robbed of a fulfilling high school social life for nothing. to be dumped over text cold Turkey.#at least he has college friends now it only took him two years lol <- it took me four so I canât judge

4.1.23 Saturday
3:49 am
So, sad Pink vomited blood again but less compared yesterday around 8:30 am her 10th vomit since yesterday...
Pink vomited blood around 3 am was her 11th but 3rd with blood...
So, sad... I don't know if Uncle DD will still be able to bring her to vet tomorrow, now is the tomorrow, today...
Like what I posted yesterday it is depressing, sad, and frustrating that Pink will die without any fight correctly....Correctly means trying to buy medicines for the cure or getting IV support... I know it is all about money and we don't know if Uncle DD can do fundings for this...
I feel bitter and self-pity coz this is life experience in life that I should have as well my own money in my pocket, in case of emergency...
My Personal Case:
I still have the windblow....I still wanna leave the hometown coz some Cavite-Nose is hurting me for 16 years... I hate this windblow trap for nothing....
I'm thinking of money and career... I don't wanna end up with someone who will just put down my ego...
Still, needing and thinking of money for myself and for other things... It is so frustrating and I feel bitter... It is so sad today that I can't give extra support on PINK... It is so sad...
7:12 am
I feel bad...
She vomited blood at 6 am...
7:43 am
It is painful in my part... Dying without a rightful fight... But fight, Pink!
8:15 am
Uncle DD called me a favour to bring thier but shared dog on Doc Gerald...
He told me that Doc Gerald will be in Salitran in a lil while... Uncle DD told me ask Doc Gerald to ask if there is still hope but I think he is fake.. Probably a connivance... If there is no hope, Uncle DD told me not to push to confine Pink...
9:35 am
Just got back from Doc Gerald, I saw him for the first time...
I told him I'm the niece of Uncle DD, this the dog that I'm taking care of....I told him Doc do you think Pink can survive? He said let's try,why not... In a lil while he put an IV and gave a shot of a yellow liquid...Suddenly Pink pooped a blood... I controlled not to cry but my deep inside is crying... It is Parvo...
Then,I asked his assistant I said Kuya is it mercy killing/ euthanasia? He said no! It is antibacterial...
This is the yellow liquid accdg. to kuya Arman... But awhile ago I talked to Uncle DD over the phone he told me that the doctor told him it was a steroid... Hmm... Weird...
Pink suddenly freeze as if she's dead already... But she stand up again but pooping blood. I tried to intact my voice and said kuya Arman if ever just wrap her on that orange towel...
Then, I went away... In a way it is the right way for a lesser trauma on me... Seeing her on her final stage of having parvo...
I walked out of the clinic and my tears were suddenly fell that I couldn't control...
5:29 pm
Still have the windblow trap... I feel bitter....I wanna leave the hometown...
I still wanna buy starbucks everyday...Longing to have uppish men's friends, willing to piggy back me with maturity and stable sanity...
I wanna ride donkey and camel... I miss going to gyms as well....Thinking of money and career... My self-esteem is very, very low...
5:54 pm
My sciatica is aching and just waiting for fundings for my massage therapy with beautiful and nice Elsie....
Thinking of Pink as well.... hmm....

content warning. age gap, mention of sex, mild breeding kink if you squint, afab reader, profanity, slight angst, unrequited love, nobara being a supportive friend, mentions of domestic toji
This is part four of a several part story revolving around smut. **Minors DNI**
1.5k words
What can I say, I live to please. Besides..." "You ain't seen nothin' yet." 4:03 am is what the clock read by the time you had settled into your bed for some much needed, actual sleep. Toji had thoroughly fucked you over nearly every surface in your house that night, leaving no part of you untouched. By the third round, you had nearly lost all feeling in your legs and angry bruises were spotting the surface of your neck, thighs, and hips, the occasional hickey littering your chest. That didn't seem to stop the two of you from going another two rounds after that. What surprised you even more than his stamina, was the fact that he lay beside you in your bed, arm lazily draped over you as he slept silently. In all honesty, you had expected him to leave the moment he was done with you, recalling him saying at some point that this was just him throwing you a line, a simple no-feelings-attached fling to get your mind off the mistake you'd made the night before. For the most part, it worked, but some part of you felt disgusted with yourself for what transpired. When you woke up in the morning, Toji was gone. He had the courtesy to at least plug your phone in and place it on your bedside table, as well as lock your front door. How did he do that? Not seeing your phone for more than twenty-four hours meant you had a lot of messages and calls to catch up with, your chest squeezing slightly seeing that the most recent one had been a missed call and text at 2:47 am. It was from Megumi. By that point in the night, you were sure Toji had you bent over the railing on your balcony, but it was all hazy by this point. That same part of you that felt guilty for what, or rather who, you'd been doing all night is the part of you that texted Nobara first. Incoming call... "Nobara Kugisaki" "WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN, BITCH?!" Nobara screeched into the line, causing you to hold the phone at an arms length away as she hurled several choice insults at you. "We thought you were dead, no one's been in contact with you since you and Megumi left the bar," She chastised once she managed to calm down. "I know, I'm sorry. Some shit happened and... promise to keep a secret?" You whispered into the line, as if someone might be listening. You trusted Nobara with your life, Yuuji too but that boy couldn't keep his mouth shut if his life depended on it. So you entrusted your drunken mistake with your mutual best friend to her, and her only. "I was wondering when he was gonna make a move," She sounded so nonchalant, as if everyone but you had expected this. "He's had a thing for you ever since our last year of high school. You didnât know?" Her words made your stomach churn. Megumi had been secretly pining for years, and you went and fucked his dad. "That still doesn't explain where you've been since you got home, did you go into a coma?" "I was... busy." Nobara gasped, your name falling from her lips in shock. "No shit. Rebound, who was it?" You both loved and loathed that she could see through you so easily. You two couldn't keep anything from each other. How could you tell her this without making it sound as bad as it actually was? "He brought my phone over, and I was just in a really bad place emotionally..." The line was silent. "It was his dad. It was Toji." Unsurprisingly to you, Nobara was more intrigued than disgusted, considering anyone and everyone that went to the Fushiguro household thirsted for Megumi's hot, ripped dad. Although she had a lack of interest in men, she asked the obligatory spill the beans, what was it like? It took nearly ten minutes of just you talking to explain everything that happened, in as little detail as possible. "So that man banged you on every piece of furniture you own and turned you into his personal cum-stuffed twinkie?" Don't make it sound so crude. "More or less, yeah." "I don't see whats wrong with that. Just don't let Megumi know, he already hates his dad." You hadn't planned on it. Nobara and you caught up for another minute or two while you got changed, hanging up when she had to leave for her extra curricular classes. Now left with your thoughts, you sighed, wandering into your kitchen aimlessly. You cursed every couple steps because holy shit your legs hurt. Deciding it was too straining to stand, you sat at your kitchen island, your head in one hand as the other held your phone, your conversation with Megumi opened. [10:20pm]Gumi: I'm sorry.
[10:22pm]Gumi: There were better times to tell you how I feel, this is my fault.
[11:09pm]Gumi: You're the most important person in my life. Just know that no matter how you feel, I'll always be here.
[2:47am Missed call]
[2:47am]Gumi: I'll give you your space. Take care of yourself, please.
Shaky fingers hovered over the keyboard of your phone, nausea building up in your gut. You were about to put your phone down, leave it for later, before the three dots popped up, letting you know he was typing. He must've seen your read receipts.
[. . .]
[9:56am]Gumi: Thank god you're safe
[9:57am]Gumi: Can I call?
The call notification popped up before you could even send the message you'd typed out.
Incoming call... "Gumi Bear"
Your thumb hovered over answer, hesitating for just a moment before answering and bringing the phone up to your ear. You could hear the concern in his voice when he whispered your name into the receiver, a guilty knot twisting in your gut. "You don't have to say anything, I was just worried about you." There was a click on the other end, followed by some rustling. "You left so quickly, I was gonna come bring your phone but... it was probably best that I gave you some space. When my dad didn't come home I assumed it's 'cause he couldn't find you." A long sigh came from him, but your brows furrowed. Toji still wasn't home? The sound of your balcony door sliding open made you jump out of your skin, having to slap a hand over your mouth to prevent from screaming right into the receiver. From the phone you could hear Megumi calling your name, hearing the sudden commotion, completely unaware of the brief staring contest you had with the tall man stopped mid-step into your house, cigarettes and lighter in one of his hands, the balcony handle in the other. Both your eyes were wide, seeming to surprise each other. Had he been out there this entire time? "H...Hey, sorry, I... a spider, I saw a huge spider and it scared me." Mentally face-palming at your sorry excuse for your outburst. Toji seemed to find it entertaining as well, chuckling to himself as he slid the door closed. Megumi was silent for a moment, but ultimately accepted the explanation. He continued, promising he'd only take a minute of your time. You couldn't hear anything he was saying over the pounding of your heart as it leapt in your throat, watching Toji slide his shoes off and stride over to the kitchen, the flat of his palm brushing the small of your back as he passed by. "Let's just forget this happened, we can start over. Okay?" His voice dropped in tone, obviously hurt by the decision. "I think... I'd like that, yeah." There was a brief silence. "Okay, well," Megumi breathed in deeply, "That's all I wanted to say. I'll let you go. Text me if you need anything." A noise of affirmation came from your throat, the line going dead soon after. Small hands placed the phone face down on the countertop, hands overlapping on top of your phone as you stared up at Toji through your lashes. He didn't ask who called. The rest of your morning was spent with Toji, not much was said. It wasn't awkward, it was a surprisingly comfortable silence, for the most part. He'd made coffee and toast, his capabilities of displaying qualities of domesticity surprising you to say the least. The kitchen clock read 1:02 pm when he said he'd be leaving and you walked him to the door. As the two of you stood in the doorway, you found yourself unable to piece together the right words swimming in your head. Toji seemed patient, smirking with his hands stuffed into his sweatpants pockets as he faced you, back to the apartment hallway. "Well, um..." All night, and you decide to be awkward now?! "Thanks for everything, I guess?" You extended a hand, offering it to Toji for a handshake. The action made him snort, one hand coming out of the pocket of his soft cotton pants and placing it in the dip of your waist. Firmly, he tugged you closer to him, leaving a searing kiss on your lips. It was as fiery as it was short. He left you dumbfounded when he parted not a second later, waving as he walked down the hall. "Let's do this again soon."

âDo you want to fuck her, Changbin?â
Chan, 8:57 am: Can you come to my clinic today? At 9 pm?
Chan, 8:57 am: I have a new assistant and I need your help.
Y/N, 9:00 am: how am I going to help you? Iâm not a doctor, lol
Chan, 9:01 am: Y/NâŠ
Felix, 9:01 am: Can you come, please?
Y/N, 9:02 pm: bruh
Y/N, 9:03 pm: okay
âWho the fuck schedules a doctorâs appointment so late at night?â Felix asked.
âHey, it was his idea, not mine, okay?â
You and Felix have been friends with benefits for a while. It started as an innocent friendship but it was hard to resist him since he was so handsome. Sometimes he would take you to places since he had a car and you didnât and you would repay him by having sex with him. It was a win-win situation.
âWhy are you all dressed up to a doctorâs appointment?â he asked, looking you up and down. âAre you excited to see Channie?â
âOh, please. I know you have a crush on him as much as I do.â You rolled your eyes.
âI saw the dude one time at a party and said that he was cute and now I have a crush on him? Anyway, we are here.â Felix parked the car in front of the clinic.
âThank you for driving me. You can leave if you want, I donât know how long the medical appointment is going to be.â
âI think Iâm going to a coffee shop nearby. Text me when youâre done.â
âOkay,â you said, smiling at him. You kissed his cheek and got out of the car.
For most people, going to the gynecologist was something unpleasant. Being naked and exposed in front of someone you are not close with is, understandably, disagreeable.
Not for you. Your doctor was Bang Chan, a handsome man, owner of the clinic and, also another friend with benefits of yours.
You still remember the first time you saw him. He welcomed you into his room. He was attentive and educated. You couldnât stop blushing. Ever since, you had sex with him a few times, which doesnât happen often since heâs really busy.
You talked to the lady at the reception and waited for your turn. You noticed that there was no one besides you in the clinic, probably because it was late.
You were excited, you shaved and you were wearing your best panties. You know that Chan was always professional but that didnât stop you from looking good.
âMiss Y/N? You may come in,â the receptionist called you. You took a deep breath and got up, trying to keep calm.
âHello, Y/N,â you heard him saying while you entered the room. He was sitting at the table, looking at something on his computer. When you were finally inside, you saw that there was someone else with him.
âThis is Changbin, my assistant. He just graduated and he needs experience. Changbin, this is Y/N.â
âHello,â you said, waving at Changbin, who simply nodded.
Changbin was standing next to Chanâs chair, he looked very shy and embarrassed. He was looking down and avoiding your eyes. You couldnât help but notice how attractive he was. He was a little shorter than Chan but as handsome as him. His thick arms looked like they would tear apart the sleeves of his coat.Â
âY/N, I need you to take off your pants and lay at the gynecological table, please,â Chan said.
You did as you were told, as much as you were a little embarrassed to be naked in front of them, you were also excited.
âNice panties,â Chan remarked, making you blush.
You lay down there, feeling butterflies in your stomach.
âYou can put your legs here, Y/N,â Chan suggested, touching the leg support at the table. You hesitated for a second but complied.
There you were, exposed for them.
Chan started to talk to Changbin about medical terms that you werenât able to understand.
Suddenly, you felt Chanâs hand on your thigh. Just standing there while he talked. Sometimes he would squeeze your thigh, but all of his attention was on Changbin. You werenât paying attention to their conversation but you were sure that you heard Chan say something along with the words âg-spotâ.
âWhy donât you take a try?â Chan asked Changbin. He hesitated for a moment but got closer to the table.
âExcuse me,â Changbin whispered. You felt his cold hand touching your folds and you squirmed, startling him, who removed his hand immediately.
âSorry,â he whimpered.
âItâs okay, itâs just that your hands are a little cold.â You assured him and Changbin went back to touching you.
It looked like he was exploring your private parts.
âUse this,â Chan commented, handing him a pack of lube.
Changbin poured some on your folds and you squirmed again.
âAh, this is cold.â
âSorry,â he apologized.
Changbin started to run his middle finger up and down on your lips, spreading out the lube. His finger would brush again your clit sometimes, which made you hold a moan. Then, he started to slide his finger into your hole. You looked at Chan and he watched everything closely, with a serious expression.
You wanted to laugh because it looked like anything but a simple doctorâs appointment.
âBend your finger and try delicately pressing at the top wall of her pussy.â
âHow will I know it is the g-spot?â
âIt has a slightly rough texture than the rest of the wall.â
Changbin fingered you some more but he looked frustrated.
âI canât do it,â he whined.
âLet me show you.â Chan stepped on his place and inserted his finger inside of you. It took seconds before you moaned, indicating that he found it.
âSee? Keep trying, Changbin.â Chan took his finger out of you, making you whine because of the emptiness.
âShh, youâre gonna get your reward soon,â he cooed at you.
Changbin started again, with a firmer touch. It took him some minutes but he finally found it.
âI think I did it,â he said after seeing you thrusting your hips against his finger.
âOh, fuck,â you moaned.
âGood job,â Chan praised him, making Changbinâs cheek go red.
âSheâs beautiful, isnât she?â he continued. âDo you want to fuck her, Changbin?â
Changbinâs eyes widened and he swallowed hard. âI-I donât k-no-â âDonât lie to me,â Chan scolded him. âI can see the erection in your pants.â Chanâs hands ran through your folds, collecting your wetness. âDo you want him to fuck you, Y/N?â You nodded. âUse your words,â he demanded. âYes, I want him to fuck me,â you whined. âGet up and sit on the table.â You sat in the corner of the table with your legs hanging around. Changbin unbuttoned and lowered his pants. His dick slapped against his abdomen, dripping pre-cum. You watched while he approached you, holding on to your thighs. He opened your legs and licked his lips at the sight of your dripping pussy. He pumped his dick a few times before penetrating you slowly. You threw your head back, Changbinâs dick was average but thick. âFuck,â you whined. Changbin immediately started thrusting on you at a frenetic pace. You tried to control your moans, afraid that the people outside the room would hear. Suddenly, you heard the sound of a belt hitting the floor. Chan was lowering his pants and freeing his dick. He got closer to Changbin and spread his cheeks, penetrating him. Changbin stopped pounding on you for a moment while he moaned, feeling Chan filling him up. âF-fuck, so good,â he whined when he started to move again. All the three of you stayed there, trying to muffle your moans.
Chan slid his hand under your t-shirt to grab your tits. âTake it off,â he growled. You took off your shirt and Chan pulled your bra down, exposing your tits. âSo fucking hot,â Changbin moaned, bending over to lick your boobs, making Chan go deeper. âI-Iâm gonna cum,â Changbin whispered. Not long after, he came inside of you, filling you. âFuck, Changbin. Look at the mess youâve made,â Chan teased. âClean it up.â Changbin got on his knees and started to lick your pussy, tasting his own cum. âWhat the fuck is going on?â Felix questioned, opening the door. He went inside the clinic after noticing that you were taking too long to come back. The receptionist looked disinterested while she scrolled on her phone with her headphones on, so he went straight to Chanâs room when he heard you moaning. Everyone looked at each other, without any idea of what to say. âDo you want to join us?â you questioned Felix. âW-what? of course not,â Felix said. âAre you sure?â Chan insisted. Chan noticed that Felix was looking at this dick ever since he entered the room. âCome here,â he said, in a soft voice. Felix got closer to Chan, who told him to get on his knees. Chan grabbed his dick and put it in front of Felixâs mouth, who instantly started to suck it. At this point, Changbin went back to licking you. His tongue played with your clit until you came, moaning loudly. Chan demanded that Felix touched himself through his pants while he deep-throated him. It didnât take long for both of them to cum. Felix swallowed all of Chanâs cum while he came in his pants. âGood boy,â Chan praised him. While you got dressed up, you noticed that Felixâs cheeks were bright red. You thought it was cute how embarrassed he got in front of Chan. âThank you for your help, Y/N,â Chan said, giving you a quick kiss on the lips. He stayed with Changbin and they started to talk about something as if an orgy didnât just happen in his room. You left with Felix, avoiding looking at the receptionist when you walked through the door. You sat in the car with Felix, who looked thoughtful. âAre you okay?â you asked. âWhen is your next doctorâs appointment? Iâll gladly take you.â You rolled your eyes and laughed. You knew the fun wasnât over because you still had unfinished business with Felix.

Quarantine memories fic hoarding craze for @thenaluarchive
â thank you to @phoenix-before-the-flame for helping jump start this fic đ
It was Natsu Dragneelâs absolute favorite time of the day. 1 pm for him, and 8 am for Lucy, his⊠well, right now they were just online friends separated by distance and priorities. But judging by how he talked about her to friends, youâd never know it. Theyâd met three years ago on Twitch through a random chat stream about an anime series, and he continued following Lucy on her writing streams. Three years ago, she was a sophomore in college while he was in his senior year. Lucy later moved on to a graduate program, but they stayed in touch, growing close. To Natsu, she wasnât just some girl online but a real friend he cared very much about. His friends called Lucy his online girlfriend. Pfft. He wished he could call her that.
Roughly two thousand miles away, Lucy Heartfilia was hating life. Her curtains were drawn, and a blanket was pulled over her head to drown out the light. The air conditioner was down to 60 degrees Fahrenheit, working against the low-grade fever and pounding migraine born yesterday. Migraines⊠the bane of her otherwise healthy existence. It was her fault after all, the temptation of a chocolate dessert knowing full well it was one of her triggers brought on said migraine and all she could do was bear it.
Why?
âStupid hoarders!â Lucy groaned to herself.
As if dealing with a pandemic wasnât bad enough, peopleâs selfish reactions to it were worse. A government agency had claimed that acetaminophen products could help with the virusâs symptoms, so what did people do? Panic buying anything and everything they could find containing that drug! The problem for people like Lucy, is the one over the counter medication that helped with her migraines was Excedrine⊠an acetaminophen product! And sheâd just. run. out.
Lucyâs phone rang and she knew exactly who it could be based on the time. So, she clicked the answer button without opening her eyes.
âHey, Natsu,â she groaned out.
âMorning Lucy! Oh geez, you sound like a frog.â
âThanks,â she retorted sarcastically. âIâve got a migraine.â
âOuch.â Natsu genuinely flinched. He rarely got headaches, but this wasnât the first time heâd talked to Lucy when she was going through one, so he knew what she was going through. âThe meds arenât helping?â
Lucy sighed. âI ran out. And did you see the news about all the hoarding? Every store here is bought out. It⊠sucks.â
âI could check around here and send you any I find,â he offered.
âAww, thatâs sweet of you Natsu, but I donât wanna trouble you.â
âPfft. Nonsense. Iâm sure youâd do the same for me.â
âThanks, Natsu. I appreciate it.â Lucy smiled through the pain. Thereâs a good reason her feelings for the man had grown over the years. His sweet and caring, yet fun and goofy, positive personality was an easy drug to get hooked to.
âAnyway, I gotta get back to work.â Natsu whined. âGood morning again, stay hydrated, and Iâll check on you again when Iâm finished for the day, okay Lucy? Get some rest.â
âHave a good day at work Natsu.â
âWill now, after hearing your voice. Talk to you later Luce.â
She giggled softly. âBye, Natsu.â
Lucy shifted under her blanket as she clicked off the phone to lie on her back. His sexy voice did wonders for her mood despite the pain still ravaging it. Now all she had to do was drag herself out of bed to eat something and drink water. She never had an appetite when she got these migraines, but it was a necessary fuel to fight it. All Lucy had left were extra strength Tylenol, so she could only hope it would at least take the edge off until the migraine ran its course.
Like so many others, this pandemic had really taken a toll on Lucyâs psyche. Itâs not as if she went out a lot before it took hold, but just the fact it made going out dangerous brought different emotions to the situation. School had moved online which sucked all its own, she missed casually hanging out with friends on campus, and simply longed for the freedom of leaving her apartment as she pleased. But she understood the precautions of a quarantine. Frankly, she agreed with the cityâs efforts to keep them as safe as possible no matter how many grumbled about it. Did it make it easier? No. But it was a necessary evil.
They werenât completely trapped, could shop for necessities, visit family or friends, just encouraged to limit such gatherings as a safety precaution. If you went out, wear a mask, and just donât stand too close to other people. Well, unless Lucy knew the person, why would she want strangers in her personal bubble anyway? And the mask thing? Have you ever been out shopping, and someone just sneezes without covering their mouth? Yeahâ seriously, would it kill people to use one?! Why were people so selfish during times like this? Not everyone, but too many. Just like with all the hoarding frenzies that swept through cities, it was frustrating andâ âUghâŠâ being in a pain-driven bad mood was sure bringing her down today.
But despite all the external frustrations, the feelings of isolation from being in a quarantine for months were probably the most mentally exhausting part. It was lonely being so far away from home during a pandemic. Lucyâs been in college for five years and while sheâs made friends in the new city, she was starting to crave comfort instead of an empty apartment. Her life online was one of the few things that made her happy, like Natsuâs daily calls, and kept her sane.
Natsu⊠her face heated up every time she thought about the man. They didnât have a lot of hobbies in common, but he was always so supportive and made her laugh like no other could. Where they lacked in commonality, was made up in ease of conversation. It hadnât taken very long for their online chats to feel more like an old friend and less like a faceless stranger. Over the years theyâd talked about meeting in person one day after she finished school. It also helped that he was from a city not too far from where she came from, so if she chose to move back it would be convenient. But she also loved the new city she called home. Oh well, Lucy sighed. It was a decision still a couple of years away to make.
The next morning, Lucy woke up to find her migraine had finally given up. She could still feel the little bastard hiding, simmering somewhere ready to strike, but if it stayed mellow, it was something she could tolerate. Throughout the day, Lucy wasted no time in catching up on the homework she couldnât finish the day before and making sure to stay hydrated with food in her stomach.
Lucyâs phone rang around 2pm.
âHi Natsu, how was work?â
âSame ole, same ole,â he chuckled. âAnd how are you? Still feeling, okay?â
âYeah, it hasnât come back.â
âThatâs great!â
Lucy could hear a lot of background noise, so she asked about it. âOh, youâre not home yet?â
âNah, and the commuters are being extra noisy today,â he responded benignly. âAnyway, tonight I wonât have time to talk cause I got a project due for work I need to finish.â
âOh, thatâs okay. Yeah, Iâm still catching up from yesterday too and Levyâs dropping by for dinner.â
They chat for a few minutes about their day as Natsu waited for transportation. Lucy knew he used the subway to and from work, but today it sounded a little different, noisier and she swore there were engines instead of the normal train sounds. Maybe it was static. Finally, Lucy caught the muffled words now boarding.
âShucks, time for me to go,â Natsu cut through. âSweet dreams Lucy! Iâll talk to you tomorrow.â
âGood night, Natsu!â
Lucy spent the afternoon relaxing online, chatting with friends and gaming. Her friend Levy McGarden later dropped by with take-out food for dinner and the two women caught up on random topics while movies droned on the television. They were both in grad school, so during the semester there wasnât a lot of time to hang out, but they made do. Lucy was also doing a paid internship at a local magazine 4 days out of the week as part of her masterâs program. She really enjoyed working there under one of the senior editors. He made it a fun learning experience.
Life was almost perfect except for the background isolation of the pandemic. Lucy was glad she wasnât one of the individuals affected by jobs cuts, but it still got under her skin to feel trapped in a way. It was nice with her friend over... âMaybe I should see if Levy wants to become roommates?â She wondered as she drifted off to sleep. The apartment would sure feel a lot less empty.
A knock at the door roused Lucy from her sleep. She blinked and yawned, looking at the alarm clock and that said 9 am the next morning. âNatsu didnât call,â she thought how odd. Maybe he slept in after working late.
Lucy dragged herself out of bed, throwing on a robe to answer the front door. âGimme a sec,â she called out as she neared it.
âUPS delivery, maâam.â The male voice responded.
âUPS?â Lucy grew confused. She didnât remember ordering anything through them, but maybe sheâd forgotten?
She peaked out of the peep hole, but all she could see was the box being held up. Okay a little weird, but some of the delivery people did that to show they were legitimate service people. Lucy slowly opened the door but kept the chain lock on while peering through the gap. But what she saw next brought on instant tears.
âH-How?â Her voice stammered out as her fingers quickly undid the lock and opened the door wide.
There Natsu stood holding a small brown box, dressed in a uniform of sorts, with a mask hanging under his chin, and wearing a goofy grin.
Lucy snorted a laugh as her eyes crinkled in happiness. âIs that a Halloween costume?â
âYeah,â his smile widened, and hand scratched his head. âSurprise delivery,â Natsu held out the box, âfor Lucy Heartfilia.â
âWhat is it?â She asked as she took it from him.
âOh, I um found you Excedrine.â
Lucy opened the box to find 4 bottles. âYou certainly did,â she laughed. âBut whyâd you bring it yourself?â
âIt was quicker than the mail and⊠I hopedâŠâ Natsuâs mannerism grew sheepish and tentative, âit was about time we finally met in person?â
Her face softened with a smile. âIt truly is.â Lucy gestured into the apartment. âPlease, make yourself at home.â

Full Moon ~ JJK [M] [Request]
âłâłâłWord count: 6.1K
âłâłâłGenre: Smut, AU, fantasy, tiny microscopic angst,
âłâłâłPairing: Werewolf!Jungkook x Reader
âłâłâłA/N: I changed it a lot as I had just recently read a fic in the same way you asked me to write it and I didn't want to get into trouble by having something similar. That being said I fell totally in love with this and now I'm obsessed with werewolf protective jungkook like wtf. This is a genre I haven't tried before though and I know you said Hybrid so I hope this counts? I know people sometimes say that you still have your tail and things like that but it's not something I would be comfortable with. Hope this is okay. Love you
âłâłâłWarnings: Mentions blood, biting, smut (obviously), breeding.
"There's been another attack!" Someone screamed as they walked over to you and your friend, you were walking through the college campus you turned to look and see Mieko one of your closest friends rushing over and panting out of breath.
"Another attack?" You questioned as you pulled your bag off your shoulder and dug around inside for a bottle of water that you always carried around with you, you were the mum of the friend group so everyone knew they could come to you when they were in dire need or something. A snack, a drink, band-aid, first aid kit, pocket knife and the occasional cheat sheet to a test that you'd stolen from your history teacher when he wasn't paying attention to you.Â
"Thanks," She began downing the liquid before leaning against your shoulder for some kind of support, she whipped out her phone scrolling through her Facebook timeline to show you what she was talking about and you rolled your eyes,Â
"You know, not everything you read on Facebook is-Oh." You stopped yourself once you saw that it was a real report from a real news station, you began reading through what the article was talking about, apparently, the attack was one of 20 in the last two days. All of the attacker's victims lived to talk about what happened to them, talking about how a man would lore them to an old parked car or they would feel like they were being watched all night before waking up the next day in pain from beatings remembering nothing from the attack itself. It was nothing if not strange to you that so many people had been attacked without recollection of the actual attack happening.
"They're calling a curfew for everyone in the university, we have to be back at our dorms before 9 pm or it'll result in expulsion." She had finally caught her breath and was walking without leaning against you so you handed her phone back to her.Â
"Well, sucks to be me because I have to help Mr SeokJin with Art History grading and then I have night classes in the library with English teacher Mr Kim Namjoon." You told them pulling the bag back on over your shoulder and looking down at your schedule for the day,Â
"Why do you have to be so good at everything? God, you're exactly like Jungkook." Mieko mumbled rolling her eyes at you, they always mentioned this boy. Jungkook. But you'd never seen him before, probably because you both had super tight compact schedules that neither of you liked to stray from though apparently, you had one class together not that you would know if he was there because you had no idea what he looked like.
"You're always going on about him, why don't you just ask him out?" You teased poking Mieko in the side but she scoffed at you,Â
"He's an idiot, cold to everyone he meets and just shoves everyone off unless you're in his close friendship circle." You made a fake pitty face at her and she shoved you against the door of the entranceway to the Art building, you were running late for class and if you were late one more time that week Mr Seokjin would have you fired as his PA and Jimin, the teacher's pet would gladly take your place.
"I'm late! I'll see you back at the dorms later, save me some dumplings!" You called as you ran off back down the hall not paying attention to where you were walking and rushing straight into someone's arms, you could have sworn they growled at you so you looked up to see who it was when your eyes landed on another pair that were staring you down.Â
"Sorry, Jungkook! She wasn't looking where she was going, she's a clutz!" You shot Mieko a glare and she ran off in the opposite direction of her class, probably skipping to go and find someone else to torture.Â
"I am sorry, I'm just late-"
"You should watch where you're walking then instead of barging into everyone with your back!" He snapped making you flinch a little, you nodded gripping the strap of your bag tightly and going to walk the rest of the way to class. Jungkook stared you down as he watched you walking down the hall, trying to see where you were going when he heard Taehyung calling his name. He shook his head and walking over to his friend who was rubbing his stomach,Â
"I'm starving, what time are we hunting tonight?" He grumbled at the older alpha who was staring at him, Jungkook hated that he was the leader of the pack that they had especially since Taehyung was older than him and so were the rest of the boys with them but it just fell down to him since he was born a wolf, it was his birthright according to his grandfather. Â
"After curfew and I have the perfect bait for us tonight." He smirked darkling putting his arm around the Omega walking him down through the halls to go and find the rest of his pack.Â
"Are you sure you wouldn't like a ride home Y/n?" Mr Kim Namjoon asked as you walked out of the library together and into the hallway of the History building, the whole place was deserted except for a couple of guards on shift and tutors who were heading home for the day.Â
"It's fine, I'm just a three-minute walk away sir," Namjoon said goodbye to you and walked in the direction of the car park. You pulled the strap of your bag over your shoulder and took out your phone to text Mieko to let her know you were on your way when you heard something moving behind you. You slowed down something everyone screamed at people for in horror movies but you were curious about what it was, then images of the news article flashed through your head and you clutched onto your bag tightly picking up the pace to get to your dorm.Â
A twig snapped and your head span around to see something blur in your version darting into the nearby woods near the college, you should have taken the ride. You regretted it instantly and you couldn't type on your phone because your hands were shaking so much,
"Shit." You whispered as you came towards the alleyway you needed to go down to get to your dorm. You prayed whoever it was following you would just leave you alone as you walked down the alley but whoever it was wasn't giving up, they proceed to follow you until you were deep inside the alley where no one could see you if they looked inside.Â
You felt a hand clutch onto your wrist before a loud growl sounded through the air echoing off the walls and making your legs shake. You were dragged onto the floor and you tried to beat whoever or whatever it was off your body but they were ragging you about from side to side. You opened your eyes to see bright red ones glaring back at you, attached to the eyes was a huge dog with black fur that was growling heavily and biting into your side repeatedly, you began screaming as loudly as you could hoping someone would hear you and try to rescue you but no one was coming. You started hitting the beast with your fists, bag and phone anything to get it off you but it wasn't budging, you could feel a burning sensation in your side where it had its jaws around you. You jammed the beast in the eye with your elbow and it let out a yelp, letting you go just enough so you could scramble off down the alley and towards your dorms where you banged loudly for Mieko to come and get you.
"Look, I'm telling you I don't remember anything." You said to the policeman who was interviewing you, you were sat up in the University's hospital wing after a nurse had patched you up and called them to report a crime had happened.Â
"You don't remember anything?" You shook your head and the man grumbled something before leaving you alone, you laid back down against the white sheets and stared up at the ceiling. What were you going to tell people? That a giant dog came out of nowhere and decided to use you as a chew toy? They'd lock you up and throw away the key, at least now you knew why everyone who was attacked before you said they forgot. You wished you'd forgotten, you had the image of the giant red eyes burnt into the back of your head, giving you a headache whenever you thought about them and the way he moved you around. It was bigger than the average dog and known wolves in the area, it was as if it was something straight from a fantasy book but fantasy books weren't real...were they?
Jungkook walked along the hallways with Taehyung and Jimin either side of them, giant smirks across their faces walking around as if they ruled the place.Â
"Did you hear about Y/n?" Jungkook heard someone mutter behind him, thanks to him being a wolf he had different abilities in and out of his shape. The heightened hearing was just one of many and he used it wisely,Â
"What happened?" A concerned voice rang out,Â
"Mieko found her bleeding out on the curb of their dorm, whimpering about something attacking her." Jungkook looked at the Omega's to see if they'd heard anything but they were either not bothered or hadn't heard what the girls were whispering to one another.Â
"Stay here." He mumbled leaning against some lockers so he could keep an ear on the conversation, he wanted to know what had happened and why you had survived much like all the other people someone had been attacking at night.
"She's in the hospital wing, they're going to keep her overnight until she's stable again. Mieko said it happened right in the alley near their dorm." Jungkook took off in a sprint leaving Jimin and Taehyung alone and confused in the halls, Jungkook hated the fact that he couldn't use his speed ability out of wolf form but he was fast enough without all four legs he knew where your dorm was, he'd heard Mieko talk about it enough in the classes they shared together.
Hissing as you sat up you looked around the hospital room for something to entertain yourself with, your phone was missing along with your laptop so you were awaiting the college to send you a replacement until a new one could be funded to you.
"Miss Y/n?" You looked over at the door to see the nurse who had stitched you together was standing there,Â
"A guest." You nodded and she moved out of the way letting Mr Kim Namjoon into the room, he walked over to you and sighed.Â
"I'm so sorry Y/n if I'd have insisted I take you home this never would have happened." He grumbled looking at you with pitty full eyes he felt terrible for not insisting you get into the car with him.Â
"It's not your fault sir," He nodded and held up the roses that he'd brought along with him, he knew how dreadful the hospital in the university could be and he wanted to liven the place up for you.
"I'll put these in here and go, I have a class." Just as he was reaching for the door handle the door swung open and Jungkook stood there, your eyes widened as he stared at you from the doorway.Â
"Ah I see you have another visitor, I'll see you next week back in my class." You looked down not wanting to make awkward eye contact with Jungkook but if you had looked up you would have seen the two of them having a stare off while Namjoon left the room. Neither of them blinking until the door was shut and the other was out of sight and out of mind.
"How are you feeling?" You stared at Jungkook once again as he stood beside your bed, your eyes locked onto the bag he was carrying and you realised it was yours.Â
"Where did you-"
"I went to the alley you were attacked in, your phone is a little broken." He handed you the red iPhone and you groaned looking at the smashed up screen, you put it down on the bedside table reaching for some water when Jungkook noticed the bandage around your waist.
"Why didn't you tell the police the truth?" You stared at him and he poured you a glass of water, handing it to you and watching as you carefully took it from his hands.Â
"I told them everything I knew." He shook his head at you,Â
"No you didn't, you told them you don't remember anything and trust me no one forgets something like that you went through." You stared at him with a blank expression, he pulled a chair up to your bed and checked the watch on his wrist.Â
"You can pretend all you want but we don't have all day." You looked down at the cup of water in your hand trying not to think on the fiery eyes that stared at you, your eyes began to tear up and Jungkook knew what you were feeling. He'd seen the same thing with Jimin and Taehyung but he'd never had a female before,
"It was huge," You started, you had no idea why but there was something about Jungkook that made you feel as though you could trust him with everything and he wouldn't think you were crazy.Â
"It had these giant red eyes and then it-It's fur it was black and matted." Jungkook knew instantly who and what had attacked you the night before and he knew there was nothing he could do to prevent what was going to happen to you that night.
" I can't explain it all here, it's not safe but we need to get you out of this hospital bed and to my place as soon as possible." You scoffed in his direction and put the cup of water down,Â
"It's that how you get all the girls Jungkook?" He was shocked at how you were speaking to him at first, normally girls would swoon at his feet and obey whatever he told them and he put that down to the wolf charm but not you. You didn't seem to care about it but he figured it was because you would be changing soon,Â
"Listen to me, did that bite burn when that thing did what it did?" You thought about it for a couple of seconds before nodding, he leant forward and moved the bandage away from where the bite should have been but it was completely gone.Â
"That's-"
"Impossible? Yes, it's called healing and I'll tell you more if you come with me." Your mind was telling you that you couldn't trust him or anyone else but there was something about him that was luring you in, your heart and soul both screaming at you that this was right and this was what you were supposed to do.Â
"How do I know you didn't do this to me..."Â
"Do I look like a giant wolf to you?" You shook your head at him but remembered all of the old folk stories,Â
"Wolves shift in the day." He smirked at you for knowing your stuff, you weren't as stupid as he first thought you were.Â
"If it was me I wouldn't have let you go so you could become like us...No one deserves this life, it's hell." He sat you up in the bed and handed you one of the University hoodies from the shelf and then some sweatpants.Â
"Like us?" He sighed promising to explain everything once he got you to a safer place,Â
"Am I going to die?" He felt his heartbreak as you stared up at him with tearful eyes, he shook his head at you.Â
"Not if I have anything to do with it."Â
If someone had told you that you would have been changed up in a basement by the end of that day you never would have believed them,
"So what happens when the moon is up?" You questioned watching as Jungkook walked around the basement to make sure the chains were secure, there was one on each of your ankles and then one on each of your wrists keeping you in place.Â
"You change...Into one of us." He answered looking over at the basement door as it opened, Jimin walked down the stairs to give Jungkook a case of water and he spotted you.Â
"Y/n was the one they attacked last night?" You stared at him as he placed the water down on the floor, he dropped to his knees and walked closer to you taking a sniff of your hair and pulling back.Â
"She's not mine." He smirked looking over at Jungkook who was looking away from the scene in front of you,Â
"What? You haven't checked?"
"Checked? Checked what?" Your voice came out panicked and Jimin tutted shaking his head and turning to look at you,Â
"You could be his mate or Taehyung's mate who knows, everything happens for a reason Jungkook." With that, he left the basement slamming the door behind him,Â
"Mate? As in..." Jungkook nodded and you bit down on your lip ignoring the tension that was now filling the air, Jungkook didn't need to check he'd known since you'd walked into him yesterday that you were his mate. He should have walked you home last night to make sure nothing happened to you, he should have been there to protect this from ever happening but now here you were getting ready to change into what he was.Â
"How come you're not in chains again?" You questioned trying to get rid of the awkwardness that was hanging in the air,Â
"We can control out shifting, we can change whenever we want but you're new and it's going to be a long time before you can learn to control anything happening inside of you while you're in your wolf form." He walked over to you and looked at the watch, it was almost time. He attached another chain around your neck and you stared at him through your eyelashes.Â
"Is it going to hurt?" He stayed silent wanting to spare you of the gory details, it was something he'd hated when he first transformed.
"That's a yes." You whispered leaning back against the cold concrete wall behind you,
"I'll change as soon as you do, we can communicate through thoughts so just pay attention to me."Â
Jungkook watched as you screamed out in anguish, another crack sounded through the air as your arm broke in several places the chains clanging against the floor. Your back arched away from the ground and you let out a shriek in pain as it snapped in one place only to do it again in several other places, your whole body was on fire and you could feel every muscle shaking and bending as something took over inside of you. Then within seconds, the pain was gone and you were staring at Jungkook at a new angle,Â
"You're okay, it's over."Â You stared at him as he shook his body once falling down onto all fours and becoming a huge wolf creature in front of you, you tugged at the chains with your paw to get out but it wasn't going to budge. Jungkook had used the same ones wit Jimin and Taehyung and they were triple your size.
"I'm hungry..."Â
"You will be, Jimin and Taehyung will be back soon. Try to suppress the thoughts with something else."Â You thought back on all the assignments that were due in next week and you heard Jungkook chuckle from inside of your head,Â
"You're thinking about homework?"Â
"Always, it's important."
"You're worse than me."Â Jungkook went on to explain that that was why he was taking all the extra classes, the extra work kept his mind off of wanting to rip everyone's head off and eat them. While it also kept it from having a social life outside of the pack, he never wanted anyone else to go through this.Â
"Dinner is served."Â A deer's body was dropped down on the floor in front of you by a brown-haired wolf with black eyes,Â
"That one's Tae, he's shy but he'll get used to you."Â Taehyung left and changed back into his human form upstairs complaining to Jimin that you weren't his mate either.Â
"Do I just-"
"Let your instincts take over. Once you've fed it'll be easier to control yourself."Â You threw yourself down biting and tearing into the skin of the animal and he was right, it was as if your body knew what to do without you telling it to.Â
After that night of changing things changed at home, you couldn't live with Mieko anymore and started to shut her out Jungkook had convinced you it was for the best if you stayed away from her. You didn't want to accidentally kill her or change her into what you were, you moved into the house Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook were living in and started to only interact with them at school. That was a month ago and the full moon was coming up, Jungkoo still hadn't told you what he knew you were to him but he knew it was going to be hard to hide this time around it was already hard enough as it was to keep his hands off you and to stop himself from jumping on anyone that came near you. The alpha instincts around his mate were always stronger than anything else inside of him and it was hard to control but you didn't know he was your mate and he didn't want to tell you.
"Y/n? You ready?" Jimin asked from the doorway watching to see if you were following him,
"Be right there." You called back to him sliding everything into your bag, it was getting late and the moon would be coming up soon so Jungkook wanted you back at the house as soon as possible, it was going to be your first change without the chains on.
"Miss Y/l/n?" You looked over your shoulder to see Mr Kim Namjoon watching you and Jimin closely,Â
"May I speak with you a second?" You flung the bag over your shoulder and he walked over to your desk, leaning against it and staring down at you.Â
"You ought to be careful with who you associate yourself with." His hands traced along yours as it rested against your chest, you snapped it away from him feeling uneasy about the touch.
"Jimin and his friendship group they're not exactly the best of their kind," His eyes flashed a bright red colour and you stumbled backwards knocking a chair down in the process, Jimin was by your side within seconds and he was staring at Namjoon who was staring back at him.Â
"The pathetic little alpha sends an Omega to collect his cum rag, that's funny." Namjoon chuckled deeply without another word Jimin pulled you out of the classroom both of you rushing in silence to get out to Taehyung's car,Â
"Cum rag? Who the fuck does he think he is?!" You let out a growl by accident and your eyes were starting to illuminate a little as you got angrier,Â
"Y/n," Taehyung warned reminding you you were inside of a car and no the basement where it was safe to change, but the anger inside of you kept growing inside of you as you thought of him insulting Jungkook like that.Â
"What happened?!" Jungkook yelled as you were walked into the basement by Jimin and Taehyung, you sat against the floor growling into your hands at the mere thought of Namjoon.Â
"I think he changed her as well, his eyes Jungkook...They were red and he seemed to know that you were her mate." Your ears picked up on that word again and you watched as Jungkook tensed up.Â
"I'll fix it, go and hunt for something to eat you haven't had anything all week." You'd managed to feed your cravings by eating a copious amount of beef burgers and steaks when you didn't have to change.
"Mate?" Jungkook turned to look at you and nodded, he knew the time was coming where he would have to explain it all to you but he would rather go off and find Namjoon first, kill him for doing what he did to you.Â
"Namjoon did this to you, he's the reason you're in this mess." You looked up to see his eyes were filled with tears and you walked over to him taking his face in your hands to make him stare at you,Â
"Jungkook I'm fine, look at me." He stared at you, the urge to kiss you was growing stronger and he could tell you wanted him to by the way your legs squeezed together and the way you kept licking your bottom lip.Â
"You're perfect." He mumbled before crashing his lips against yours, his hands gripped onto the back of your neck pulling you closer to him there was something that changed inside of you and it was like you were feral, you never wanted him to stop kissing you ever again but your body was craving more from him. His lips moved down to your neck and you moaned out in pleasure at the feeling of him sucking along the exposed skin,
"Fuck, we can't." He pushed you away and you whimpered looking at him with hurt in your eyes,Â
"Why not?" He looked at you and then at the watch realising you hadn't even changed yet and then checked his watch again maybe it was too fast there was no way you had control over your changing abilities yet.Â
"Jungkook kiss me." You whispered to him bringing him closer to you, he took one sniff of your scent and almost fell to his knees ready to take you but it was too dangerous, you were in heat and the moon was full anything could happen. You weren't stable,
"I need you," You whined out in his ear and he grabbed you once more kissing you roughly and slamming you against the wall behind you, you shrieked happily as his hands worked their way up and down your body tripping the shirt from your chest.
"My favourite shirt," You fake pouted against his lip,Â
"Shut up," He mumbled against your lips biting down on your bottom lip and dragging it with his teeth, everything inside of him knew this was wrong and it could fuck everything up but he needed you and you needed him.Â
"I need more." You whimpered and he knew what you wanted, what you both wanted but once you started there was no stopping.Â
"Oh god, I want you to...I want to fuck you until you're full up pup but-" You kissed him once again to shut him up and he relaxed a little more letting your lips relaxing his body, you pushed him back and dropped to your knees in front of him.Â
"I want what I want," You whispered to him undoing his jeans and pulling them down his legs, he nervously looked up at the basement door and prayed Jimin and Taehyung had left to hunt and weren't going to come down and find this scene unfolding in front of them.Â
"Shit." He grunted as you took him into his mouth, there were no words to describe how he was feeling the way your tongue worked around his member, licking and sucking every bit of him you could but what you couldn't you used your hands to massage, he was letting out whimpers as his head fell back.Â
"Just like that, shit." He grunted his hand going into your hair and biting his tongue resisting the urge to slam his cock down your throat, he knew he had to be gentle with you he could smell it on you that you'd never done something like this before.Â
"Lay down baby." You took him from your mouth with a pop and he smirked ripping your jeans off your body and throwing them somewhere within the basement, he didn't care all he cared about was you. Tasting you and having you all to himself, he licked a stripe up your folds and you moaned at the new sensation, all of this was new to you but it felt right,Â
"Jungkook." You whined out not wanting to be teased, you wanted him to mount you and not stop until you were screaming out his name,Â
"I know baby but once I've started I won't be able to stop until I'm done." You nodded at him as a sign that you understood and it was what you wanted and he kissed you, slowly easing himself into you as you whimpered out. You could feel him stretching you out from the very first push and your nails dug into his back dragging down and you were positive if you didn't have super healing powers it would scar him.Â
"Fuck you're so tight." He grunted as he finally submerged himself all the way inside of you in the missionary position, not something that was common among your kind, holding himself in place until you were ready for him to start moving. You gave him a nod and he kissed your forehead promising you he would be as gentle as possible with you but once you felt you were used to his small and light thrusts you begged him to go faster,Â
"F-Faster Kookie, I can take it." You whispered in his ear but he shook his head,Â
"I can't, you'll break." You whimpered as continued his tiny thrusts, you knew there was something to make him move but you didn't want to risk him stopping altogether.Â
"N-Namjoon called me your cum rag, said you were a 'pathetic alpha'." You managed to say through grunts his thrusting stopped and he stared down at you, he knew what you were trying to do and it was working.Â
"Fuck, you're going to kill me." He grunted pulling out of you only to slam back into you at a rough pace making your back arch back as he finally hit the spot you'd been needing him in.Â
"Right there." You whimpered within a matter of seconds already feeling yourself coming to your first orgasm, there was a pit in your stomach that was starting to grow with every thrust,
"Don't stop." You stuttered out as his thrusts became faster, he smirked watching you come undone underneath him he'd never imagined for a second you would be like this with him. He thought you would be a shy and fragile girl like you were before but this was something else.Â
"I think- Ugh fuck- I think I'm close." You panted out and he could smell that you were, you began clenching around him and he grunted picking up his pace a little more so he could get you to the edge, he bit down on your neck drawing blood and smirking as you let out yelps of pleasure.Â
"Cum for me pup," You yelped out as you felt your orgasm rush through your body sending shock waves throughout you, your legs were shaking and your hands were shaking as they latched onto Jungkook's hair tugging a little as he continued his vigorous thrusts into you not stopping just because you'd come around him. You screamed out his name as he continued to thrust into you, the pain from just finishing was slowly starting to be subsidised by pleasure once again as you felt the belt-tightening once more,Â
"J-Junkookie." You whimpered and he smirked down at you kissing your lips and pulling back, he pulled out of you and flipped you over onto all fours, he couldn't take the human position anymore, he needed you on all fours so he could fuck you properly like the dogs you were inside.Â
"Shit." You hiccuped as he thrust into you hitting spots that were left untouched before, you gripped onto the ground as his hips pushed into yours, one of his hands gripping onto your hips and digging in so deep it was drawing blood.Â
"I'm close Y/n." He grunted as he continued to fuck you in the way it felt natural to him, you whimpered in agreement letting him know you were too by clenching around him and he smirked,Â
"C-Cum inside me, please." You whined out underneath him arching your back as you felt your release coming nearer and nearer, he faltered for a second before picking up his pace again not wanting to stop, hearing you tell him what you wanted sent him closer to his edge.
"What do you want little pup?" He asked coaxing you into telling him again you let out a whimper as you were going to have to say it again,Â
"Finish inside me, I need you inside of me. Everything, just-" You couldn't finish because he pulled your hair so he could kiss you as he fucked into you,Â
"There's no going back if I do this Y/n." He warned as he felt himself getting closer, he kissed your neck lovingly wanting nothing more than to finish inside of you and claim you as his own but he had to make sure you were sure first.Â
"Make me yours," You whimpered and he pulled out once again bringing you back to the human position you had started in, he wanted to look at you as he claimed you and made you his. He wanted this to be romantic and not as though he was stealing something away from you,Â
"S-Shit I think I might." He grunted throughout his sentence staring down into your eyes as you stared back up into his smirking at him as he brought you closer for your second and final orgasm of the night.Â
"You might what?" You giggled up at him and it was like music to his ears, he felt his balls throb as he almost finished at the sound of your giggle.Â
"Shit, d-do that again." He begged, watching as you giggled beneath him once more his thrusts picked up once more as he felt his pleasure coming to an end,
"I'm g-gonna cum, cum for me okay?" You nodded at him and he smirked kissing your lips softly pulling away to make eye contact with you as you begged him to fill you up, it's what you needed and what your body was begging for.Â
"S-Shit." He grunted hitting your spot in just the right way that you clenched around him tighter than before, like a vice and he stuttered his thrusts spurting into you but continuing to fuck into you so you wouldn't miss a single drop.Â
"Shit I think I love you." He grunted out as he continued to thrust into you when you didn't say anything back he felt his heartbreak a little but he continued to thrust.
He stayed in place above you as you both came down from your high, once he knew it was safe for him to pull out he did and dropped down next to you smirking as he looked at you.Â
"That was-"
"Yeah," You finished looking at him with a smile on your face, you rolled over and laid your head down against his chest.
"I love you too by the way." You whispered looking up at him as you rested your chin on his chest to make eye contact with him.
"Can you guys warn us next time?! Fuck!" You heard Jimin yell from upstairs you looked over at the door and back at Jungkook,Â
"Why didn't I change?" Jungkook looked at you and took in a deep breath,Â
"I think you have better control over your instincts than I first thought." You hummed and bit down on your lip,Â
"I want you to do that again." You whispered to him biting down on your lip as you stared up at him,Â
"Trust me, you're not going to want to stop now you've had one taste." He chuckled knowing how hard it was to keep yourself from stopping once you'd had the first taste of an orgasm like that.Â
"But let's go upstairs since you're not changing, there are much comfier places then the basement floor." He whispered in your ear, roughly biting down on it with a fang and smirking as you whimpered out to him.

Tokyo Tech Training- Chapter 6
By the time you woke up on Wednesday, you were still seething with rage. Who does that little shit think he is? Was he still a little boy? He was 28, for Christâs sake, when was he going to grow up??! You shoved the microscopic train of thought that you found Gojo Satoruâs immaturity charming deep into the depths of your subconsciousness. You felt an unwanted warmth spread upwards and inwards from your thighs when you opened your phone and saw the inappropriate picture Gojo had sent you last night, dangling your lacy pink underwear from his index finger. You were still angry, but your heat pulsed at the thought of your panties in his hands. You shook the thought away when you felt drool shamelessly pooling at the sides of your mouth.
What you hated to dwell on even more was the growing realization that the more Gojo touched you with those long fingers of his, the more his tongue and his overly moisturized, glistening lips ghosted across your skin, the more you felt deprived of the sensation when he was gone. The hunger was only growing. You realized that you had only taken his dick inside of you once, just once...you felt empty. No, you thought to yourself. This was selfish and pathetic on both of your ends; your little schoolgirl crush had gone way too far. You needed to stop fucking him, even if he made your body tremble your throat moan in ways no one else could even dream of doing.
The past five days had been such a chaotic blur that you hadnât processed the fact that tomorrow was your...your birthday. How had you not realized it when Sukuna first proposed his deal that day at the mall? âThe Itadori boyâs room on Thursday at 11 PM. If youâre late, youâll be punished however I see fit.â You could still hear his deep, demonic voice. So that was how you were going to be spending your birthday evening tomorrow: being tossed around like a plaything by a 1,000 year old curse. You sighed deeply and put your head into your hands, not even surprised anymore at the absurdity of the situation. What the hell were you doing with your life? You came to Tokyo Tech to train to become a Jujutsu Sorcerer, not practice your Kegel techniques with your teacher every other day. Just take things one day at a time, you reminded yourself, as you begrudgingly dragged yourself out of your bed.
Today was your second day filled with exerting and harsh training, but at least it wasnât as traumatizing as your earlier Field Training expedition. When you got to the grassy training field on campus, you looked around for Gojo, feeling a tiny sliver of disappointment when Maki told you, âHeâs out for the day. Heâll be back tomorrow, but us second-years are overlooking your training today.â Damn, you thought. You couldnât resist how delicious the thought of showing off was for your cocky....fuck, stop thinking about him. It was as if his stupid, dimpled smile was permanently branded to the right side of your brain. You turned around to watch Nobara and Panda goofing around, swinging each other in circles and getting thrown around like frisbees. Track-star Yuji and a stubborn Megumi were racing each other up and down the track like their first names were Usain.
Your friends all looked so cute in their blue tracksuits, you smiled. Toge was yelling, âSalmon! Tuna-salmon!â as Maki practiced her new, crisp cursed-tool technique on him with her incredible agility. âWait up!â You yelled after Yuji and Megumi, challenging the two boys to a quick hundred-meter dash. âLoser buys us all drinks for my birthday tomorrow!â
Somehow, Megumi lost the race but promised to buy you all drinks tomorrow; you smiled inwardly, thinking about something he once said about having a strong moral compass that couldnât easily be shaken. At least you knew of two good guys you could rely on, even if they were a spiky sea urchin and an extra large pink cupcake. âHold on, hold on. Why didnât you tell us tomorrow was your birthday?! Explain yourself,â Nobara demanded, crossing her arms at you. âI guess I just forgot...â you started, but she wasnât having it. âI love birthdays, and weâre using yours as a chance to celebrate. I think we all deserve some more sweets and drinks, right? And I can go shopping to get you a present!" She gushed, and before you told her it wasnât a big deal, she tutted at you. âNo ifs and buts. Iâll decorate my dorm and we can all meet there tomorrow at 9 PM. No excuses,â she pointed a finger in your face. âOkay, okay,â you smiled, before wickedly challenging Yuji and Megumi to a rematch.
The rest of your day was filled with arduous exercise and training with your second-years, and it was soon time for bed. You woke up the next day sore again, but thought to yourself that you might as well get used to the muscle ache - it was only going to get worse from here. You were going to have the bones of an 80-year-old soon, if you kept this up. You laughed darkly and nervously at the thought of having arthritis as a teenager, before a spirited Yuji and Nobara bursted into your room yelling, âHAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! :)â You thanked them, head ringing slightly from their yelling at 8 in the morning. They jumped onto your bed with you, tackling you with warm hugs and tickling you.
Yuji slapped a birthday cake sticker against your cheek, insisting that you must keep it on all day. âGuys, guys, stop,â you laughed, eyes watering from laughing. Megumi stood at the doorway and nodded your way before wishing you a happy birthday. Yuji got up and dragged him into the group hug, Megumiâs face smashing against Yujiâs stomach. Your dark haired friend groaned as the rest of you poked fun at him. This was the best birthday morning you had in a very long time.
You peeled the cake sticker off of your face and stuck it onto your mirror. âLetâs go out again today and hit every good Ramen shop in the damn city! And then go shopping in Harajuku!â Nobara ordered rather than suggested, and you both reeled from excitement. She knew how much you loved food. She grabbed you by the wrists and pulled you all the way to the front of the school, not even giving you time to change. So the four of you stood in front of Tokyo Tech in your pajamas, hailing a cab to get downtown. You spent all day with your friends, and the three of you loved teasing Megumi for his seriousness. You couldâve sworn you saw him smile once, when a waiter at one Ramen restaurant placed a big steaming bowl in front of him. Everyone ate out of each otherâs dishes greedily, snatching and stealing.
After that, you headed to shops selling outrageously expensive clothing, including one dedicated to just selling corsets. You all pushed inside, trying on ones that you could never afford. You laughed as Yuji tried on a pink frilly corset, making Megumi wear a deep blue one. Nobara tried to talk you into a plan for shoplifting a set for the both of you to share, but you were too afraid youâd get caught. âOh my god! Is that Nanami?â Nobara whispered too loudly, and the blonde man turned towards the four of you. He had a lacy set of undergarments in his hands, and Yuji hooted. âWhoâs that for, Nanami-Sensei?â He jumped up and down. âI told you not to call me that. And thatâs none of your business. Tch.âThe man answered in his slightly-flustered deep voice, adjusting his leopard-print tie. He quickly walked over to the cash register to avoid dealing with you four. You all laughed it off, making jokes the whole way out.
âHAHA-and what if heâs into some super weird kinky stuff, too?!â Nobara asked. âI can see it! Heâs totally a Fifty Shades of Grey type-man...heâs probably secretly a sadist or something,â Yuji said spookily, waving his arms around.
Before you knew it, you were back in your dorm and it was almost 9 PM, time for your little party. You tugged open your closet doors, wondering what you should wear for the occasion. Since it was your birthday, you decided you could afford to show some skin and let loose for the night. Nobara had even warned you and the boys earlier that if you didnât wear something nice she would âuse the straw doll ritual technique on you.â So you settled on a short black dress with spaghetti straps, still an avid supporter of the Bloutfit. You knocked on Nobaraâs door and entered, and seeing all your classmates in there dressed nicely for you warmed your heart: Megumi, Toge, and Yuji wore cute slacks and button-down long sleeve shirts, Nobara wore a pink skirt and a white top, and Maki dressed up in a power suit. Panda was panda.
Your stomach did three consecutive backflips when your eyes landed on none other than Gojo Satoru, leaning back against a wall and smiling at you. Oh, so he was back from his trip already, huh? This try-not-to-stare game was getting really hard when he, too, was wearing nice slacks and a crisp button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He wore his dumb sunglasses, and damn, did this man look expensive.
Megumi shoved two bottles of fancy-looking wine into your hands, keeping his promise. Everyone passed the bottles around, laughing and swaying to music (which Yuji was again in charge of, starting the night off with Walk Down by FNF Chop). You played a couple of intense rounds of charades, and you would never forget Yujiâs impersonation of John Cena. Ever. Because you now had a permanent stain on your dress where you had spat out your wine. See, this is why we wear black, though! You felt someone grab your wrist and lead you outside of the room and into the dimly lit hallway.
Before you could even process it, a certain 6â 3â tree bent into your ear and whispered, âHappy birthday, princess,â while shoving a small box into your hands. He pulled back up and leaned against the wall, nodding at you with a grin tugging at the corners of his mouth. You opened your mouth to angrily argue with him, but he put a finger to your mouth and shushed you. âJust open it.â You narrowed your eyes as you popped the lid of the box open, heat instantly rising to your cheeks. You stared down at a pair of fluffy pink handcuffs. âWhat the fuck is this?â You asked him bluntly, and he stupidly replied, âHandcuffs, dummy. I was thinking we could use them soon during one of our training sessions. Trust me, youâll like them,â he winked at you through his sunglasses. Before you could scoff and tell him you werenât the type of girl who was into bright pink sex toys, he said, âOh, and one more thing before I forget.â
He reached into his back pocket and pulled out the panties he had stolen from your pile of clothes in the shed last night. He took a step toward you and pulled the top of your dress out, slipping your underwear inside. His hand lingered on your chest longer than it should have, until he pulled it back out and placed his hand on the back of his neck. âWell, youâd better get going. Yuji knows about the deal, blah blah blah, so meet Sukuna at his room at 11, okay?â You froze and your stomach dropped. How could you have forgotten? What time was it? You glanced at your phone frantically. âItâs 11:27, you moron! Why didnât you remind me earlier??â You panicked. âOh shit, sorry about that. Well, you better get going now, then.â Gojo called after you âHave fun!â And âBe safe!â And âUse protection!â As you scrambled down the hallway to meet your impending doom.

Social Media Apologies
This is my first fic with the Haikyuu Headquarters server! And it's my first Daishou fic, as much as I love that snake bastard!! This month's SFW prompt was "meet ugly" so this is about Daishou serving a ball into reader's face which leads to him groveling on social media. Honestly, I hope you guys like this!! Here's the link to the masterlist!
-
For years, I had a string of bad luck that seemed to follow me around no matter where I went or how I acted. My parents cited bad karma or a curse placed upon me when I was a child. I simply called it life being an asshole. When I gained the job as the Sendai Frogs trainer, I knew the dangers of what I was getting into. Volleyballs were constantly flying across the gym and it wasnât uncommon for someone to catch a spiked ball to the face.
For the most part, I had managed to avoid any strays that came my way, whether it be me blocking the hit or the players that I worked with saving my ass.
That changed the day that we played Yotsuya Motor Spirits. Admittedly, I wasnât expecting the day to be anything special, especially since Kyotani, Koganegawa, and Kei had finally started working as a team, with their fellow players supporting their talents both as a trio and separately.
âHey, donât let them in your head, okay, Kyo? And Tsukki, please donât rile them up too much. I really donât want to deal with their coach coming to rip our heads off cause you want to be a dick.â I encouraged, crossing my arms over my chest. The two rolled their eyes at my usual pep talk then mumbled their agreement, turning towards their opponents. Kanji bounced eagerly in front of me and asked, âWhat about me?â
âJust take it slow, okay? Donât rush your sets,I know you can do this.â I replied, patting him on the shoulder. He grinned at my words of wisdom and they soon walked away to line up, prepared to take their stances on the court. The first set passed without anything too out of the ordinary, with snide comments and smug grins exchanged between the net.
It was the second set that seemed to make the match all the more interesting.
Daishou Suguru, an outside hitter from the Spirits, was the man responsible for the shift of the atmosphere. I was returning from the trainerâs room with a bag of supplies, knowing that at the next timeout, Tsukishima and Kanji would need tape for their fingers. Along with that, our libero would likely want his knee braced better, due to an old injury.
I was walking on the corner of the court when the whistle blew and Daishou took his stance for his serve. I glanced up for a brief second to see who would take on the receive, only to realize that the ball was hurtling towards my face at a pace much too fast for me to hide from. Shouts and gasps filled the stadium as I slammed to the floor. Blurry faces crowded around me and I faintly acknowledged the fact that my three friends were looming over me, waving their hands in front of my face.
âHey, hey, easy. Just lay back, okay?â Kei encouraged, pressing a gentle hand against my shoulder. I groaned at the pain in my head and nose then mumbled, âHurts. It hurts. What the hell happened?â Kyotani masked his snarl and bit out, âBastard snake nailed you in the face with a serve. Might wanna hold still, Coach thinks you have a concussion and a broken nose.â
âYou realize that I can hear you, right? Itâs not like I meant to hit them. I was shooting for a service ace, give me a break.â Daishou replied, rolling his eyes.
âShit, this hurts.â I grumbled as Tsukki pressed a wad of tissues under my nose. Daishou knelt beside me and murmured, âHey, Iâm really sorry about hitting you in the face. I didnât see you there.â
âIâm kinda pissed that you serve bad enough to hit someone on the sidelines.â I snapped, pushing myself up. Koganeâs eyes widened at my bitter tone and harsh words, then Daishou spat, âYou were walking in front of the barrier. You should have enough brains to know to walk behind it.â
I jerked my head towards the wing spiker, groaning at the sharp jab of pain and bit out, âMaybe you should learn how to serve properly then. If your serves are that high, then youâre not doing something right.â Kyotani helped me to my feet then I heard the snake hiss, âBitch just needs to learn where to stand during a game.â
An argument between Tsukishima and Daishou began to rise with Kogane attempting to coax his teammate out of the fight. Kyotani braced against me then grumbled, âYou never know when to stop talking, do you?â I let out a bitter laugh and mumbled, âHeâs the one who will have to deal with the backlash. And Iâm the one with a broken nose!â
He patted me on the shoulder and replied, âIâve learned that you usually get screwed by what you say in the end.â He was right but shit, I was really hoping that I would escape any trouble that followed.
-
I, in fact, did not escape the results of Wednesdayâs game. Kyotani, Kogane, and Kei came to visit me in the trainerâs room on Saturday, my first day back from my concussion, and they showed me the results of my broken nose and bitter words towards Daishou.
âSendai Frogsâ Trainer and Motor Spiritsâ Wing Spiker in the midst of a social media battle? Daishou Suguru has gone to social media to publicly apologize to the Sendai Frogsâ trainer after a stray serve broke the trainerâs nose and left them with a concussion. As of right now, the Sendai Frogs have not addressed the situation. The wing spiker seems to be desperate for a response and his fans seem irritated with the lack of acceptance from the trainer. â Kei read off, raising an eyebrow in my direction. I scoffed at the ridiculous headline then snapped the first aid kit shut as I bit out, âGive me a break. Heâs the one who wonât stop tagging me in his stupid apology. I mean, why should I accept his apology twice?â
âBecause itâs good publicity and if you donât accept on social media without a single ounce of sarcasm in it, I think youâll be finding a new job.â our PR manager answered, entering the room. We twisted at the statement and I snapped, âWhat are you talking about? I could be fired over this?â
âNot my idea but the Motor Spiritsâ manager is pissed that youâre not replying to him publicly so the fans of his team say that youâre being a stuck up bitch.â she replied, crossing her arms over her chest. I groaned and flung myself on the trainerâs bed, whining, âThis isnât fair! Iâm the one with the broken nose and heâs the one gaining the sympathy? Ugh! Fine, Iâll tweet him now.â
Yanking out my phone, I opened the Twitter app and constructed a tweet, âDaishou-san, I accept your apology. Iâm sorry for taking so long to accept publicly.â I clicked send on the public message and grumbled to myself as Kei chirped, âYou think the public will leave your little feud at that?â A simple chime followed his question and I glanced down, surprised to see that Daishou had privately messaged me.
âHow about dinner on me? Iâd really like to make it up to you.â Kei blinked in surprise at the statement then laughed, âAre you going to accept? Itâs been a while since youâve been on a date. I mean, people already think you guys are a thing.â
âSeriously?! Who asked you anyway? Hmm. I mean, I guess I could go out with him?â I asked, tapping my chin. My best friends continued to laugh as I thought over Daishouâs offer then mumbled, âI guess it canât get worse than it already is.â Typing a quick response, I hovered over the send message then Kyotani huffed, pushing the button himself. We loom over the phone screen, waiting for his response, then a new chat appears with an address linked and a simple, âTonight, 9 pm. Iâll see you there.â I tilted my head back then asked, âWhat am I thinking?â
âYou need a boyfriend, thatâs what youâre thinking.â Kei supplied, patting me on the back. I came to a stand then stated, âI guess I should go get ready for this date, then.â
âYouâre gonna have a great time!â Kanji called out, laughter following me out.
9 pm came surprisingly slow, likely due to my repeated glances at my watch. The ramen shop was actually a ten minute drive from my apartment and I often frequented it during the weekends. I was thankful for the familiarity and lowkey manner of the shop. It would provide some comfort to me.
Bowing briefly at the shop owner, I glanced around and spotted Daishou in the corner. He smiled at my appearance then pulled out the stool across from him. I settled down on the seat and he admitted, âIâm not going to lie, I kind of thought you werenât going to show up.â I laughed at his statement then replied, âI wasnât sure if you were going to come. Tsukki definitely wasnât confident in you showing up.â
âWell, Four Eyes is best buds with Kuroo and that cat hasnât liked me since middle school. You look beautiful by the way. I really am sorry about breaking your nose and giving you a concussion.â he remarked, scratching the back of his neck. I pressed a gentle finger to the bridge of my nose then stated, âDonât worry about it. Neither of us could really do anything about this. Youâre a persistent asshole, though. Why did you ask me out for dinner?â
He paused at the question and answered, âI thought you were pretty. And I like that you didnât let me be an asshole. At least, not without a fight.â I laughed, shaking his head, and chirped, âYou thought I was hot while I was being a bitch? Are you a masochist or something?â
âMore of a sadist, if Iâm being honest.â he blurted out, playing with my fingers. My eyes widened at his bluntness then he leaned forward with a remark, âBut that can wait until after dinner. What would you like?â
We glanced over the menu and I found myself studying Daishou. His hair was relatively short, barely hanging on his forehead and it looked soft until the ramen shopâs lights. Green eyes flickered back and forth over the options and my gaze continued down to petal pink lips. His tongue flicked out and Iâm surprised to see that he has a tongue ring, with fangs in place of normal canines.
âSnake bastard⊠I thought Kyotani was being a dick, not being serious.â I mumbled, reaching to cup his face. He startled at the sudden touch and his eyebrows furrowed together, asking, âCan I help you with something?â
âFangs⊠you have fangs.â I breathed, focused on his mouth. He laughed at the awe in my voice then replied, âI was born with them. I got my tongue pierced right after college on a bet.â He wiggled his tongue afterwards and returned his attention to the menu as the server approached our table.
âHello! What can I get for you?â I turned with a smile as I gave my order then dropped my hand away from Daishouâs face so he could answer. Once she wrote down our selected meals, she gave a small bow and informed us that our food would soon be out.
âIâm sorry. You must think that Iâm a crazy person for grabbing your face like that.â I apologized, burying my face in my hands. He laughed at my embarrassment and tugged my hands down before he chimed, âItâs okay, I thought it was cute. Honestly, a lot of people are turned off by the fangs. Something about how itâll hurt if I kiss them. So itâs nice to have someone fascinated by them.â
âI really like it actually. It looks really good.â I murmured, a shy smile stretching across my face. He smiled in return then asked, âSo how did you end up as the trainer for the Frogs?â I let out a laugh and answered, âI used to go to Aoba Johnson with Kentarou and went to college with Tsuki. When they joined the Frogs, I heard they were hiring an athletic trainer so I put in an app. Now Iâm here and stuck with three blond idiots.â
âHey Iâm not an idiot!â a growl interrupted, jerking our attention to the table behind us. Three men sat there with awful disguises and I could feel my fury beginning to bubble.
âWhat the hell are you three doing here?â I spat, jerking out of my seat. Daishou started at Kyotani, Kanji, and Kei, the two glaring at Kentarou for blowing their cover.
âIdiot! They havenât even had dinner yet and now they know weâre here!â Kei hissed, slapping his teammate on the shoulder. I slammed my hands on their table then demanded, âWhy are you here?! Which one of you morons thought of this bright idea?â
âGroup effort?â Kogane supplied, ducking his head to avoid my glare. Our server returned with our food, with concern across her face then Daishou stated, âCould we get our food to go? Please? We had something come up and canât stay to eat.â Kei turned with a bitter expression then asked, âDo you think that I would let you go on a date with him by yourself?â
âYes! Iâm a grown adult and I figured you would at least trust me enough to watch over myself! Daishou-san, I am so sorry for this! I didnât think these three would be this dumb. My apartment isnât too far from here if youâre still wanting to go on this date?â I asked, turning my attention back to the wing spiker.
He gave a grin and answered, âI would love to. Iâve already paid so Iâm ready to go when you are.â The trio began to protest as we walked out of the shop and I shot a glare over my shoulder, hissing, âYou follow us and I will end you.â They settled back in their chairs and sighed, shaking their heads.
I turned back to Daishou and he wrapped an arm around my waist, murmuring, âI think we make a pretty amazing couple, what do you think?â I leaned into his side and said, âI think youâre right.â

âWhat the hell just happened!â Voight shouted as he stormed up the bullpen stairs. His subordinates stared back at him, dumbfounded, as they too were processing the chaos that had just unfolded.
Kevin was the first to speak up, âSarge, slow downâŠâ He was interrupted but the harsh shouts of his sergeant. âDonât tell me to calm down Kevin! One of my detectives was just abducted and not one person here can care to explain? Huh? Not even her partner. Halstead?â
Jay cast his eyes down to avoid the burn of Voightâs stare. He was ashamed. He was still processing. How had this all happened? Why didnât he protect her?
âSarge, I donât know what to tell you, those guys, they just blew up, snapped. They pulled guns, put one to Y/Nâs head, and dragged her into a truck that was waiting in the alley around the back. It must have been a setup, Sarge.â Jay replied, his voice laced with guilt.
âRuzek, I thought you said your CI was solid?â Voight turned his anger to Adam. âHe was...or at least I thought he was. Look, Sarge, Iâm so sorrâŠâ
âEnough. I donât want to hear it. We just need to focus on getting Y/N back.â His sergeant snapped back. The rest of the unit mumbled in agreement, heads hanging low, all weighed down by the guilt of the parts they played in allowing Y/N, their partner and friend, to be thrown into the back of a truck by violent criminals.

The team all sat around the bullpen as their sergeant emerged from his office. âRight, talk to me, what do we have?â
Jay jumped to his feet and walked over to the board to stick up a photo. âThis is Nicolas Heath. Vice has had him on their radar for years, heâs a known pimp, big in cross-state trafficking, and has priors for sexual assault, trafficking, and fraud.
Jay placed two more photos up underneath Heathâs. âThese were the guys at the meet last night. They were the ones who took Y/N. They have similar priors to Heath but seem to be more like his lieutenants. Weâve got them on pods driving Y/N away in a black SUV Toyota. That was tracked to a house in Evanston where we think Y/N is being held.â
Ruzek walked up to the board next, reading a file in his hand. âThat checks out, my CI is sitting in interrogation room 2 right now. The prick told me heâs been taking money from Heath over the last few weeks. In exchange, he invited girls to parties at clubs that Heath runs. My CI was getting nervous so reached out to me with fake info about Heath, he wanted us to take Heath down to save his own ass.â Ruzek then pinned up a few photos of a large, fortified, white house. âHe tells me this is one of Heathâs places, itâs in Evanston so that checks with the footage of the SUV. But he also tells me itâs heavily secured with armed guards and itâs likely that if Heath has Y/N and we try to move on it, sheâll be dead before we get through the front door.â
The whole team sighed in frustration. They knew what type of guy Heath was and the longer they waited the worse things would potentially be for Y/N. Finally their superior spoke up. âAdam get your CI to reach out to Heath. We need to know if Y/Nâs cover is still intact. If we canât go in through the front door maybe we can set up a âbuyâ and get our girl back.â
The team shook their heads in a mix of frustration and disgust at the thought of having to âbuyâ back their teammate from that monster like sheâs some object.
âŠ
A few hours later and Jay was down in the roll-up, fixing a wire to the buttons of his shirt. A plan had been formulated; Halstead was going to meet a contact of Heathâs, posing as a pimp looking to move some âproductâ.
A quick, yet painful, phone call between Adamâs CI and Heath revealed he was still unaware Y/N was a cop. Jay had said on the phone he was looking for a specific type of âproductâ and once he described a girl roughly matching Y/Nâs description, Heath said he had someone for Jay. A meet was set at 9 pm by the docks.
The whole team was on edge. Some were scared of what Y/N was going through in the hands of the monster that is Nicolas Heath, most were nervous of the âbuyâ that was soon to go down, but all were feeling guilty for allowing Y/N to be in this situation in the first place.
Once the wire was fixed and the van set, the team rolled out the back of district 21, with a thousand things racing through their minds.
They arrived at the predetermined meet point and waited. The surveillance van with Kevin, Adam, and Voight was hidden around the corner, whilst Jay waited in a UC truck parked out in the open. His jean-covered legs were bouncing up and down, but not from the cold. His partner, no, his best friend was out there somewhere in the hands of a rapist-pimp, alone and defenseless.
After 20 mins, a tattered grey van turned the corner and parked opposite Jayâs truck. Halstead sent a quick text to Voight notifying them of its arrival and then climbed out the truck. He looked on trying to see his partner beyond the blaring headlights of that grey van. When the white beams were cut he finally locked eyes with her.
When he saw her weak and bruised body with legs barely holding herself up, in a vice grip of two thugs, Jayâs instincts were to run to her, but he couldnât. Thug 1 had a Glock 19 jammed into the side of her head and Thug 2 had one trained on him. He had to play this smart. The only way to get Y/N out of this was to play along with the âbuyâ, despite it making him sick to his stomach.
Jay casually walked around to the back of the truck and pulled out a black bag from the back. He checked his watch, stalled a bit to not seem too eager, put a stick of gum in his mouth, began to chew, stalled some more, and finally walked back towards Heath and his thugs.
âWhat you got for me then?â Jay questioned nonchalantly as he nodded towards his partner. âShe what I asked for? Cuz I got a lotta cash here and I ainât about to waste it.â Saying this was breaking him, but he had to play along.
âYeh this oneâll be worth your trouble, sheâs feisty, trust me.â Heath laughed back at his âbuyerâ. Jayâs heart sank. What had he meant by âtrust meâ? What had he done to her?
âHalstead keep your cool, flash him the money and get him to hand Y/N overâ his sergeantâs voice spoke through his earpiece. Jay listened and opened to bag up to show Heath he meant business. âItâs all there. Hand her over, I wanna get a look before I hand this over.â Jay swallowed the sick in his mouth as he watched his partner shift uncomfortably between the two men.
When Y/N cast her eyes back up to look at Jay, he could see her tears in her eyes, despite the bruises there. His body kept playing the role but his eyes were calling out to her, he was internally begging she could see through his facade.
Thug 2 lowered his gun once Jay had flashed the money. Thug 1 kept his gun tight against Y/Nâs head as he roughly pulled her towards Jay. He released her and she stumbled, on weak legs, the short distance to Jay.
Jay, careful not to grab at bruises, yanked on her arms and roughly pulled her towards the truck. He wanted to hug her, hold her and wipe her tears but he couldnât. There were still 3 armed men 10 ft away who couldnât know they were cops.
Y/N let out a small cry as the zip ties on her wrists dug deeper into the red, bleeding skin. âQuiet!â Jay demanded. âMove. Go on.â He pushed her around the back of the truck, attempting to shield her from any further potential dangers.
âYour moneyâs all there. Was a pleasure doing business with you.â Jay called out to Heath and his thugs.
âPleasureâs all mine man, anytime. Enjoy that oneâ he nodded his head towards Y/N and stuck out a hand to Jay. Reluctantly Jay shook it and forced himself to say âOh I will.â
The three men climbed back in their van with the money and reversed around the corner.
Shortly after, sirens and shouts of Chicago PD could be heard but Jay paid no attention. As soon as that van was out of sight Jay ran around the truck to Y/N.
Only now did he have a chance to fully take in her appearance. Her wrists were bleeding underneath zip ties. Arms were painted a horrible mix of blacks and blue. Blood was drying around her eyebrows and lip. Her left eye was swollen and purple and both were glistening with tears. She was in a short dress, ripped and filthy. But worst of all she was shaking violently, perhaps from the lack of layers and cold but more likely from the trauma of the last 24 hours. And that thought haunted Jay, he knew it always would.
When he finally reached her small and trembling body he cut the ties quickly and engulfed her in a hug. She sunk into his warm and then down to the floor. Jay went down with her, just holding her close as sobs shook through her body.
A hand came up to her face and he wiped her tears away and tucked her hair behind her ear. His strong arms held onto her so tight she thought she might crumble into a hundred pieces if he ever let go. So he didnât.
âShh. Youâre okay. Youâre okay Y/N/N. I got you. Youâre safe.â He whispered into her ears. âIâm so sorry Y/N. Iâm so sorry.â He began to choke up and the sound of her sobs. How had he let this happen?
Shortly after, the surveillance van and a few patrol cars arrived on scene. As Voight and the other officers climbed out their vehicles they were horrified at the scene before them.
Y/N looked like sheâd been through hell. She was clinging to her partner desperately. Her shaking, although likely caused by a state of shock, prompted Adam to take off his coat and walk over to the partners on the floor.
He placed the coat on her shoulders and then squeezed one, trying to show his support and love and remorse through the action. Kevin walked over next with a blanket and knelt down with them.
âYouâre okay Y/N. Weâre here. Youâre safe.â Jay kept repeating those words to his broken best friend, whom he held in his arms. Only when she heard the gruff voice of her sergeant did she take her head off Jayâs chest and lookup.
âIâm sorry Y/L/N. Youâre gonna be okay kid.â Spoke Voight to his detective. The four men consoled their teammate, their family member, for a while longer. Their voices cracked and caught as they continued to whisper words of comfort until the ambulance arrived to take her to safety.

Alone in the lake
Riley sat on the floor of her room staring at nothing, this whole week had been very stressful, and the worst thing was that Jack had died.
Many times she said that she hated most of the things that Jack did. She hadn't realized then that those little things were the most missed of him.
His irritating laugh, his constant jokes, his jokes and references to old movies, his obsession with rock and his great love for Brus Willis
Her phone rang on the ground for the third time in the last hour, but she didn't bother to pick it up because she knew exactly who the call was from.
Mac had been calling her all day, and all she did was ignore him, she didn't want to talk to him or anyone else unless it was Jack, but he was gone.
She tries to suppress her feelings and let go of the worst pain, which is extremely difficult.
Without realizing it, tears were already falling freely down her cheeks after almost 3 years, and the only time she was able to see him again was from inside a coffin.
Once again, her phone vibrated on the ground, and finally, giving up, she decided to answer.
"What do you want, Mac?" she asked
"I just wants to talk to you Riles, I need to know how you are," Mac said.
"I'm completely fine, you don't have to worry," Riley said calmly.
"Riles ..." before Mac could say anything else, she hung up.
She hit her head against the wall and groaned in annoyance. She wasn't sure who she was upset with, she just knew she was upset.
At that moment she hated the whole world for every second she was away from Jack, she was sad, angry and hurt.
She didn't know how long it had been since she was sitting on the ground and she didn't care at the time.
Suddenly, she heard a sound coming from the hall, immediately became alert and walked to see who it was.
She picked up a baseball bat from her room and walked down the hall. She put the bat down when she saw the person in front of her.
"What are you doing here?" she asked a little annoyed.
"I needed to see you" answered Mac
"How did you get inside?" she demanded
Mac simply smiled and showed her a small hair clip that was now bent over.
"Why don't you imagine it?" She rolled her eyes and went back to her room.
"Where do you think you are going?" Mac said, taking her hand.
"To my room, and if you don't mind, I'd like to be alone," Riley said.
"Riley, I just want to help you" said Mac
"Mac, I really appreciate that you want to help me, but I'm completely fine," Riley said.
"I know you are not, I know you Riles" said Mac
Riley just lowered her head and sighed as she looked at the ground, Mac walked over to her and wrapped her in his arms.
"Talk to me, Riley." said Mac
"It's so hard to get over all of this, he promised me that we would spend all our time together when he comes back and I didn't know at the time that that was the last I would hear from him, I miss him so much," Riley said.
"Riley, I know that losing Jack is one of the hardest things that can happen to us, but I promise you that from now on everything is fine, fine, I will be with you at all times, and we will overcome this pain together" said Mac
"Mac, this is more complicated, Jack was one of the most important people to me, but you've already lost a lot of people, I don't want to bother you with my pain too" said Riley
"Riles, you and I are a bundle, remember? We support each other no matter what, I'll be there for you as you will be here for me, I don't want you to be sad Riley," Mac said.
Riley shed several tears, Mac looked into her eyes and gently wiped away the tears that had stained her cheek. They stayed like this for a couple of minutes, just hugging.
"Let me take you somewhere," Mac said out of nowhere.
"where?" Riley asked
"Don't ask, it's a special place," Mac said.
"It's too late," Riley said when she saw that it was 9 PM.
"Do you have time to sleep," Mac joked.
"Okay, but tell me where will you take me" he asked again.
"I won't tell you," Mac said.
Mac led Riley to his car, and they were both silent for a couple of minutes, Riley watched as Mac turned on the radio and then Wilie Nelson's music began to play.
"Wilie nelson?" Riley asked a little amused.
"Jack liked it, this music makes me remember him," Mac said.
"I remember" she smiled a little but became serious again.
Mac drove in silence for a couple of minutes while Riley just stared out. Riley moved from her place and looked at Mac with a serious expression.
"Why are we leaving town?" asked Riley
"you will see?" He playfully winked at her
"Are you planning to kill me?" Riley asked sarcastically.
"Yeah, where i'm taking you, no one will be able to find your body," Mac joked
Riley shook her head and leaned her arm against the window to look out, they drove about 25 minutes until they finally reached their destination.
The place was a forest quite far from the city and the people themselves, everything around it was very dark, and the only thing that lit up were the lights of Mac's car.
"where we are?" Riley asked when he got out of the car.
"you'll see" said the words from before
Mac took a flashlight from the car and guided her down a path that was there in the woods, Mac held her hand as they walked through that dark place.
After a few minutes they came to a clearing in the middle of that forest, but the clearing was not the only thing there, right there was a small pond that was illuminated by the light of the moon.
"Where are we Mac?" Riley asked him again.
"It's a place that Jack and I found a few years ago, he and I used to come here to get rid of the stress of work," Mac explained.
"So this is where you two disappeared when no one found you," Riley said.
"Jack said he wanted to keep this place a secret from everyone else. He and I were very close, sometimes we just need a place where he and I can be alone," said Mac
"Why did you bring me here?" Riley asked
"Because you need what I needed years ago, a quiet place and someone to help you overcome the pain, I know you are a very strong woman, Riley but I want you to know that sometimes it is okay to cry when you feel sad, Jack was the only person I went to when I felt bad and we both came here and since he left the only person that has been for me has been you and you should know that now I will be the one who is there for you "said Mac
Before Mac could say, anything else, Riley threw herself into his arms to hug him, Mac immediately returned the hug, wrapping his arms around her.
"Thanks Mac, thanks for bringing me here" she said against his neck
"Anytime, Riles" Mac gently kissed her head
They stayed like this for another minute until Mac picked her up off the ground, and she panicked because she knew what she was about to do.
"Mac, put me down, don't you dare do it" Riley yelled, hitting him on the shoulder.
Mac just ignored what she said and took her to the lake and then threw her into the water.
"You are a fool" she yelled annoyed
"But that's how you love me" scoffed Mac
Riley was not happy, and without him being able to do something, she took his legs and made him fall into the water as well.
They spent most of the night in that little pond enjoying a quiet and fun time.
When it was 2 in the morning, they were both in their underwear by the fire that Mac had made to dry their clothes.
Neither of them was bothered by the fact that they were both literally in their underwear, they had seen each other half naked before and there was no one around, so they were fine for the moment.
Riley lay down on the ground to get a perfect view of the stars. She looked at Mac who was looking at her.
"That's a children's story, but right now I want to believe that Jack is up there next to the stars, watching us from above," Riley said without taking her eyes off the stars
âWhen I was a kid, I believed it, and maybe I still do. So when I was little, I really liked astronomy, I thought my mother was there somewhere, "Mac said.
"Maybe she is, she and Jack must be up there" she said pointing to the stars.
Mac got up from his place and took his clothes since he was close now and started dressing. Riley did the same as well and followed Mac to the water's edge where Mac had sat.
They both stayed a few minutes just looking at the water, the stars and the moon were reflected in it, and it was a spectacular sight.
"I love you," Mac said out of nowhere.
"what?" asked Riley surprised
"I love you, I love you as more than a friend Riles, I know you don't see me the same way, but right now I don't want to keep this to myself" said Mac beside him.
"Seriously?" Riley asked
"Yeah, I've been in love with you for a while, and I never had the guts to tell you," Mac said.
He turned to look into her eyes and Mac put his hands on her cheek and slowly approached her, Riley didn't know how she reacted to everything she had just said, it was what she had wanted for so long and now she could have done it . that, and that made him nervous.
"Can I kiss you even once?" Mac begged inches from his face.
Without thinking twice, she nodded and slowly her lips met his.
It was such a soft, sweet, tender, affectionate, intimate kiss, there were so many emotions in that simple kiss. Riley gently ran her hands through Mac's hair as one of Mac's hands rested on his waist while the other rested on his neck.
They parted when shortness of breath was present, but kept their foreheads together, Riley looked Mac in the eye and leaned in closer to wrap her arms around him for a hug.
"I like you too, I love you too" he said
"in cerium?" asked Mac
"very cerium" said Riley
Mac moved to leave the hug and stand up, reached out to help her up.
"There's something else I want you to see," Mac said.
"What?" she asked
"Come with me" Mac took her hand and led her to a nearby tree.
On the tree were engraved the letters "M + J" and just below were other letters "BFF" she knew what each of the letters that were there meant
He looked at Mac and saw small tears trickle down his cheek. He smiled a little and then saw her.
"Jack wrote this the first time we came to this place, he put the M for Mac and the J for Jack, which are the initials of our name, and then he put the BFF which stands for best friends forever," Mac said.
"Typical Jack," Riley said with a smile.
Mac smiled back, pulled out his knife before crouching in front of the tree. Riley watched him do worse, wasn't sure until he got up.
Mac had engraved the letters "R + M" with a heart next to his initials.
When he stood next to her, she jumped up in his arms and kissed him on the lips. When they walked away, Riley smiled at him and he took her hand to lead her to the water's edge.
"I wish Jack was here" said Riley
"Me too, but now I'm happy because I have you" said Mac
They both enjoyed that moment alone at the lake, they missed Jack, but now they knew that everything was going to be fine because they had each other.

In Case of Emergency (Ch 4/10)
Ao3 | 2.7/6.1k | Eventual Buddie | Status: Incomplete
Prev. Chapter | Next Chapter
Chapter 4: A shoulder to cry on They haven't heard from Eddie in 3 days since Shannon's passing and Buck is worried. An additional scene set between 2x17 and 2x18
It was months later when Buck used Eddieâs key for the second time, half wishing it was for an actual emergency because at least then he would know what to do.
It had been three days since Shannon had passed away and he couldnât help but worry about Eddie. Realistically, he knew that Eddie had Chris, his Abuela, and Tia to keep him company, but it wasnât enough to stop him from worrying until he heard from or saw the man in person.
No one had heard a word from the man since the accident, not that he expected to hear from the grieving man, but all of his attempts to contact the man had him stonewalled and left on read with nary a reply, so he could only begin to imagine how the man was doing.
âAny word from Eddie?â He asked while they took the opportunity for a 3 pm lunch, passing Hen her sandwich, hoping that maybe heâd reached out to someone.
âHavenât since the hospital,â Chim responded in between mouthfuls of his sandwich and looked to Hen who shrugged and shook her head empathetically.
âLast I spoke to him was when I let him know he could have a much time as he needed and that wasnât much of a conversation.â Added Bobby as he packed away the sandwich fillings.
Buck nodded along in understanding but still feeling uneasy, unsure of what he could do to help his grieving partner. It takes him the rest of the shift to decide but eventually he figured it would be worth it to at least check on him in person on his way home after shift.
Before leaving the station, he sent a quick message to Eddie.
Me: I know you havenât answered any of my other messages but thought I might stop by on my way home tonight, just thought Iâd give you a heads up if you didnât want me to.
Eddie: Read 8:28pm
It was nearing 9 pm by the time Buck made it to Eddieâs place. He intended to be there much earlier, but he ended up stopping along the way to pick up a Nutella pizza and beer figuring Eddie might like some comfort food.
Buck checked his phone when he parked outside Eddieâs house. Taking the lack of response as a sign that he didnât not want him to come over. He slid the beer and pizza from the passenger seat into his lap before getting out and locking the truck.
As he walked up to the house, he hesitated a few steps from his Jeep briefly reconsidering this whole idea, doubt colouring his thoughts about whether or not he was overstepping just to give himself peace of mind. With a bite of his lip, he surged forward to the door pushing past the indecision and gave it a cursory knock before using the key to unlock it.
Upon entering, he could hear the faint sound of the tv as he tentatively made his way inside calling out to Eddie, wondering if he was even going to accept his presence. Moving through the house he passed the empty living room immediately noting the lack of Chrisâ presence and energy within the walls despite the hour, the heavy weight of sorrow taking his place.
He found his partner in the kitchen peering absentmindedly into the fridge seemingly unaware Buck had been calling his name and watched as he startled slightly when he closed the fridge door having taken nothing out of it.
âUh, hey man. Thought you might like some company.â Buck said cautiously, unable to read Eddieâs face like he normally could. Eddieâs eyes momentarily flickered with what looked to be gratitude before taking the beer out of his hand and carried it to the living room.
Taking that as an invitation to hang around, Buck followed him, concern blossoming in his chest. Eddie set the beer down, immediately taking one, and opened it as he collapsing on the couch. Buck did the same, placing the pizza down next to the beer and fell into the adjacent armchair.
The tv was quietly playing some kind of nature documentary and it was only now that Buck noticed looking around that most of the lights were off except the lamp sitting behind the couch bathing them in muted light.
He turned his attention back to Eddie, who has slouched down into the couch, staring glassy-eyed at the tv with the beer resting on his leg, untouched. He looked exhausted, with dark shadows under his eyes and hair mussed. It looked like he hadnât shaved since Buck last saw him which, considering the circumstance was unsurprising. All in all, he looked like what youâd expect of a man who had recently lost his wife.
âI â Uh, brought a Nutella pizza, itâs not the healthiest of choices but Iâve always found that itâs surprisingly good comfort food. Though, you donât have to eat it if you donât want to.â Buck rambled, unsure of what else to say. Eddie barely acknowledged that he heard aside from a quick glance at him and the box, staying silent as he turned back to stare off in the direction of the tv.
Buck rubbed the back of his neck feeling kind of awkward, âLook, man. I donât know how you must be feeling right now, but Iâm here if you wanted someone to talk to or I can just sit here quietlyâŠâ he took in Eddieâs far off expression, ââŠor I can just go if thatâs what you want.â
He moved to get up taking the quiet as an answer, but Eddie quickly snagged his wrist, halting his movement. Buck looked down at him, who in turn was looking up at him with glistening eyes.
It was then that Eddie uttered a small, âDonât go, not yet.â
With a look like that, Buck couldnât imagine being able to deny such a request, his heart just wouldnât allow it.
He sat back down, choosing instead to take a seat next to Eddie on the couch, shuffling closer to him until their legs were pressed together. Eddie sagged into the couch following Buckâs seating choice and released what sounded to be a relieved sigh, seemingly taking comfort in the contact. After some moments he leaned forward and set the still untouched beer on the coffee table and then rested his forearms on his knees with his hands hanging between them and head bowed.
âThe house is so quiet when Chris isnât here, even when heâs asleep it never feels like this. My Abuela and Tia have been here ever since they found out about the accident but today, they thought it might be a good idea for Chris to stay with them tonight just so I could have some time for myself to process.â
He absentmindedly reached for a slice of pizza and took a small bite of it before setting it on top of the box, âI just donât know what to do with myself. The funeral is a day from now, my family and her family are coming, and I have no idea of what Iâm going to do or say.â
He continued, voice now thick with emotion, âI was ready to be a family again, I thought we were having another kid together and then we werenât. I was ready to be a family again and she wanted a divorce and then she died just like that,â Eddie choked back a sob, âEven after all of that and everything that we went through, I still loved her.â
It was then that he started to cry in full force over this admittance, letting the grief and the emotions that were mingled in with it flow through him through his tears.
Not knowing what to say, Buck did the only thing he could think to do and silently wrapped a supportive arm around Eddieâs shoulders as he crumpled in on himself.
Eddieâs body shook with the heavy sobs as he turned his head into Buckâs shoulder, soaking the material of his shirt with his tears. Feeling his heart break for the man that heâs grown to care for, Buck rubbed soothing circles into Eddieâs shoulder as he cried, knowing there was nothing that he could say that would ease this kind of pain.
They stayed like that for some time, Buck just holding Eddie until the flow of tears start to dry up and Eddie pulled away, wiping at his face and looking embarrassed. Buck let his arms fall away, allowing Eddie as much space as he wanted.
âSorry, Iâm never likeââ
Buck interrupted him with a stalling hand before he could finish what he was about to say, âDonât say another word, you have nothing to apologise for. Iâm here for you, whatever you need, even if it meant just being a shoulder to cry on.â
âThank you,â breathed Eddie softly as he gave him a small smile.
âDid you want me to stay?â Buck asked gently, seeing now that Eddie might need the company.
He watched as Eddie slouched down and rest his head on the back of the couch, tilting his head to the side look at him. âCould you? You make it feel less quiet, you always do.â
Buck slumped down, mirroring Eddie as he took in the smoothed lines of his face in the glow of the tv, making himself more comfortable while keeping his knee in contact with Eddieâs.
âOkay then, Iâll stay.â He breathed, knowing that he would do anything Eddie asked of him
They stayed like that for a couple of hours, with Buck quietly telling Eddie about all the calls that he had missed over the last couple of days, embellishing where he could. Eddie for his part, did his best to respond and ask questions when appropriate, but as the time passed, his answers shortened and started turning into hums, and eventually he slid sideways against Buck, lightly snoring.
Buck carefully moved out from under him and gently set him down on the couch, lifting his feet up so that he was lying more comfortably on his side. He then went to Eddieâs room and grabbed the comforter and a pillow and brought them back to the lounge room, easing the pillow under his friendâs head before draping the comforter over him.
With hands on his hips, he tore his gaze from the sleeping man to survey the rest of the room and decided to, at the very least, clear up the coffee table, gathering the beers and pizza, moving them to the kitchen. Placing both onto the bench, he scratched his head in dismay.
There were a number of dishes piled up beside and in the sink. It looked as though nothing had been washed in a few days, that is not to say that Eddie didnât have or use his dishwasher, he did, except for the fact that it was currently half full of clean dishes.
Realising that it was too late to get stuck into them now as it was past midnight and not wanting to wake Eddie with the clattering of dishes, Buck made a mental note to tackle the cleaning in the morning and instead put both the pizza and what was left of the beer in the fridge.
When he returned to the living room, he kicked off his shoes and set them by the door before grabbing the blanket draped on the back of the armchair and settled into the chair for the night watching the quiet rise and fall of Eddieâs chest, letting the rhythm lull him to sleep as he kept his promise to stay.
** ** ** ** ** ** **
Eddie woke up suddenly for no discernible reason, confusion muddling his thoughts as he took in his surroundings. Why was he sleeping on the couch? And how did his comforter and pillow get from his bedroom to the living room? He jolted upright, now realising that the reason he woke up was because there were noises coming from the kitchen.
A quick surge of panic rose within him and he threw back the comforter preparing to defend himself against the intruder as he heard the footfalls travelling towards the kitchen doorway. Almost as quickly as it had come, the panic vanished and was replaced by relief as soon as Buck came into view carrying two mugs of coffee, bringing forth the memory of the night before.
âMorning.â Buck greeted as he set down a mug in front of Eddie on the coffee table before sighing and falling into the armchair.
Looking him up and down, Eddie noticed that Buck was wearing exactly the same clothing as he was the night before, minus the shoes. The blanket that was usually folded and draped on the back of the armchair was now bundled and spilling over the arm.
Eddie took a sip of the coffee, watching Buck as he did so.
âYou stayed.â He murmured over the lip of the mug, both unsurprised and surprised that the man had stayed in the awkward chair for the night just because he asked him to stay.
âI said that I would,â answered Buck easily.
They fell into a companionable silence after that, not feeling a need to fill the air with words, instead sipping contentedly at their coffees. It wasnât until he had finished half of the mug that Buck announced that he answered a call from Pepa on Eddieâs phone earlier, saying that she would be over with Christopher in an hour or so.
Once their coffees were drained, they straightened up the living room, gathering up the bedding from the couch and took it back to the bedroom, it was here that Buck cleared his throat, âHey, Eds.â
Eddie hummed in response, focusing on smoothing out the comforter.
âI know weâll be on shift when the funeral is scheduled, but if you want, Iâll ask Bobby if we can stop byâŠâ
âYou donât have to Buck, itâs okay if you guys canât make it, Iâll have my family there,â
âI want us to. To be there for you.â
Touched by his insistence, Eddie looked up and gave him a small smile, âThat would be nice.â
Buck matched his smile with one of his own, âOkay then.â
And that was that. Buck left shortly after once everything was in order, claiming that Eddie should take some time to himself to clean up and sort himself before his son came home, to which he didnât disagree as he ran a hand across his jawline.
It was only after Buck had left and Eddie had taken a shower did he notice that the laundry hamper in the bathroom was void of any clothes causing him to do a double take. Puzzled, he headed to the laundry, still wrapped in his towel, only to discover two neatly stacked piles of freshly washed and dried clothes, one for him and one for Christopher.
He smiled to himself taking his stack to his bedroom and got dressed. Stomach now grumbling from the lack of breakfast, Eddie made his way to the kitchen to discover that Buck had also cleaned every inch of the kitchen. All the dishes had either been washed by hand and stacked or been put in the dishwasher which was only a few minutes away from finishing its cycle.
He opened the fridge revealing the last surprise of the morning, a jug of pancake batter with a post-it note attached to it, âEat Me! :)â was inscribed on it in Buckâs scrawl causing Eddie to actually chuckle to himself, something that he didnât think was possible since Shannon had passed. He pulled out his phone and send Buck a text.
Me: I hope that note isnât suggesting that these pancakes will make me a giant like Alice. Me: Thanks again for everything youâve done.
Buckâs response was almost immediate.
Buck: Canât say I can promise anything about the pancakes ;) Buck: No worries man, I said Iâd have your back.
Eddie smiled at the phone before putting it in his pocket and turned his attention to making some pancakes wondering how he could even come close to returning the favour. As it turned out, that opportunity came about sooner than he expected.

365 Days: Part 2 (Feysand)
I feel like this should be beyond obvious at this point, but black lives matter. As a white person, I understand that Iâll never fully comprehend the struggle black individuals face on a daily basis. I stand with them, protesters, and activists as a lifetime ally. âDonât be mad theyâre rioting, be happy you donât have to.â -- If you are not a supporter of the BLM movement, go ahead an unfollow me. I couldnât care less.Â
OKAY. Sorry this is a day late! This part kind of has it all (humor, fluff, some slightly kinky smut) so I donât know how to describe it. I also hate it, but whatever. Part 3 (last part) out Friday!
Part 1
________________________________________________________________
Day 1, 7:13 AM
~Feyre~
Something warm laid across her cheek, and Feyre peeked an eye open, only to groan at who she saw staring down at her. âIf you make a habit of waking me up at the ass crack of dawn, I can already tell you you wonât live through our year of marriage, Rhysand.â
He smiled. âYou have to get up. We're taking wedding pictures.â
She didnât see the point. Theyâd signed the marriage license last night. How heâd procured one in less than an hour, she didnât even want to know.
âWhy the hell would we do that?â
âBecause Iâm a public figure, and the newspaper asked for a quote on our marriage.â She groaned. âNow get your cute ass downstairs.â
She glanced at him speculatively but stayed firmly planted in the bed. âWhatâs downstairs?â
âSomeone to help get you ready. Not that I donât appreciate the bed head. Up.â
Feyre shook her head. âAsk me again in two hours.â She glanced at the clock. âMake it three.â
Her husband pinched the bridge of his nose, but stood back up. She closed her eyes, happy sheâd won their first argument.Â
Only to be proven wrong a moment later as the demon spawn flung back her blankets, grabbed her waist, and threw her over a shoulder like a sack of potatoes.Â
âPut me down,â she shrieked, beating the back of his toned legs with a fist.
Rhysand, calm as always, smoothly responded, âIf I put you down, youâll just get back in the bed.â
âNo, I wonât,â she lied.
Even though she couldnât see his face, sheâd bet anything he rolled his eyes. He walked out his/her/their bedroom door and down the stairs, his casual gait suggesting nothing out of the order.
âGood morning,â he said pleasantly to whoever was waiting.
Feyre peeked around his ass to see four complete strangers, varying levels of amusement on their faces. âUm, hi.â
She was placed on a salon-like chair.Â
Which was odd, considering they were in the middle of the living room.Â
Rhysand pointed at two hulking figures sitting on the couch. âThese are my friends Cassian and Azriel. Youâve met.â
The smugness in his voice, combined with the shit-eating grins of the men he was referring to, had her snapping back, âOh yes, my kidnappers. Sorry I didnât immediately recognize you. I had a sack over my head last time we met.â
âIâm Cassian.â The larger of the two smiled. âIâm the one you tried to gut with a butter knife.â
âIâll have to practice my aim.â
Cassian looked at the man standing next to her and winked. âI like her.â
The other man on the couch, Azriel, sighed and shook his head, resigned.Â
Rhys just rolled his eyes and continued his introductions. âThe two normal people here,â he gestured to a very brightly-dressed pair, âare here to do your hair and makeup and whatever else.â
He gave her a light kiss on the forehead, then spoke to his fellow criminals. âWe have shit to do. Come on.â
âAre you off to do illegal activities, my dear husband?âÂ
âDonât worry, Feyre darling. You wonât be without eye candy for too long.â
He laughed at the look on her face, then wisely jogged out the door before she could throw something at him.
She turned to the people left staring at her with wide eyes and repressed a groan. âLetâs get this over with.â
~Rhysand~
Two hours after heâd left, Rhys came back to the house, showered, and changed into a tux. Then he went to his backyard where the photographer had set up.Â
âWhereâs Feyre?â he asked the man as he messed around with lighting balloons.
The photographer gave him a knowing smile. âI want to get a picture of your reaction when you first see her.â
He was about to respond when the backdoor of the house opened and she walked out.
She was wearing a classic gown with long sleeves and a deep neckline, but that wasnât what drew his attention. Her hair was up, and she had a veil trailing behind her. The sunlight made the white of her dress almost glow.
If sheâd been beautiful before, now she was...
There were no words for how she looked.
Fucking radiant was a start.
She walked across the lawn to him and smiled, and he couldnât keep the matching grin off his face if he tried.
Rhysand heard the faint snap snap snap of the camera and finally understood what the photographer had meant.Â
Heâd wanted to capture the moment the cityâs Son of Satan was practically brought to his knees by a single woman.Â
And Rhys didnât even care.
Feyre finally drew close enough that he could see the details of her face. Even though he had a million more romantic things running through his brain, he murmured, âWhoâs the eye candy now?â
âYou are,â she said, as if it were obvious. âYou look like sex on a spoon.â
His mouth dropped open, but before he could respond, the photographer butted into their moment. âOkay, I want you two to act like Iâm not even here. Weâre aiming for three or four really good shots, so just be natural, and Iâll let you know if anything has to change.â
They both nodded absently, still staring at each other. Rhys reached down to grab her hand, finger flicking the ring on her finger.
âI canât believe our marriage is making the paper, and I didnât even get a real proposal,â she teased.Â
It was true.Â
Heâd put the ring on her bedside table the night before, too much of a simpering coward to give her the ring in person, too nervous about whatâd she say. It had been his motherâs, and heâd once sworn to never let another soul have it.Â
âI didnât want to risk your wrath and wake you up.â
She rolled her eyes and smiled.
Almost on its own accord, one of his hands reached out to cup her cheek. He didnât know if Feyre was acting or something else, but she leaned into his touch, a hand coming to rest against his chest.
âBeautiful, just beautiful,â the photographer cooed.
âYou are,â he told his wife. âYouâre beautiful.â
She smiled.
âAnnoying as hell, but beautiful.â
She shoved his shoulder and turned away, but he grabbed her wrist to spin her back, and decided to risk his life.
He kissed her.
Hands locked around her waist, lips crashing into hers, Rhysand kissed her like heâd been dying to since heâd seen her asleep in his shirt.
And she really, really kissed him back.
Feyreâs hands wound around his neck, and he lifted her up a little to get a better angle. Her lips opened to let his tongue in, and he had no other thoughts in his head besides the woman in his arms.
The photographer coughed pointedly.Â
They ignored him.
Until Rhys finally relented and set her back on the ground, both of them panting for air.
âSorry,â she told the blushing man, but he waved her off and insisted it happened all the time.
The thing was, it didnât.Â
Rhysand had kissed plenty of women in his lifetime, but none of them had made his entire body start simmering like that.Â
Her blue eyes watched him speculatively as he slipped the ring off her finger, dropped down to one knee, and smiled. âFeyre darling, will you marry me?â
Despite already being legally married, she bent over and kissed him, then stole the ring back. âIâll take it into consideration.â
Day 9, 8:04 PM
~Feyre~
Feyre had to admit that while the house outside the city had a charm and wholesome quality sheâd come to admire, being trapped here had started to drive her slightly insane.Â
Especially since Rhysand had been been on a business trip the entire week, so sheâd been here by herself.Â
After a tense phone call with her sisters--where Nesta had cackled and called her Satanâs nephew--and getting ahead in her textbooks, she was out of things to do. So she spent most of her time being a nosy little snob and going through her husbandâs stuff.
Apparently, the Son of Satan had a very serious addiction to wine, if the cellar in the basement was any indication.Â
But other than that--and a mysterious letter from a woman named Amren--he had no trinkets, pictures of family, or any other worthwhile gossip.Â
The word âboredomâ hardly covered it.
Once upon a time, Feyre wouldnât have minded a couple days like this. When law school was in session, she didnât have a spare moment and enjoyed when she got to do nothing.Â
She didnât bother lying to herself about why it was driving her insane now.
She missed Rhysand.Â
After only a couple days of marriage, heâd wormed his way into her heart and made her start to rely on teasing him, seeing that devilish smirk, making him laugh. The nightly texts he sent her werenât enough to satisfy her insane need to talk to him. Heâd told her he was coming back later tonight, and she was practically coming out of her skin with excitement.Â
She was an idiot, basically.Â
This marriage wasnât supposed to involve actual feelings. It was a publicity save. And despite giving her a hotter-than-hell kiss during their photo shoot, he hadnât so much as touched her since.Â
Feyre had the distinct feeling he was waiting for her to make the first move.Â
Which, again, she normally wouldnât mind. But something about Rhysand... she knew once she started down that path, she wouldnât be able to stop.
So she slept in his bed, wore his t-shirts, and avoided thinking about how his mouth had felt against hers.Â
And how heâd tasted like chocolate and watermelon and-
Cutting that thought off, she resolved herself to be cool and calm and collected when he came back. She needed to nip the feelings sheâd started to develop for him in the bud.Â
But then the front door banged open, and Feyre instantly disregarded every promise sheâd made to herself and raced down the stairs, yelling like a banshee.Â
She saw Rhysand standing in the doorway in his usual Johnny Cash uniform and didnât hesitate before yelling, âYouâre home!â
And throwing herself on him.
He dropped whatever he was holding and laughed as she wrapped herself around him like a koala.Â
âAre you alright, love?â
She nodded against his neck. âIâm fine. Ignore me. Iâve just been so bored. This place is way too fucking quiet when youâre not here. I think Iâm going insane.â
âI believe you.âÂ
âAsshole.â
He laughed, then did as sheâd said and ignored her presence, crossing the living room to the kitchen.Â
Rhys bent to look through the fridge, and she tightened her hold on him.Â
âWe have no food, also,â she told him helpfully.Â
âI see that. If you put some pants on, we can go into the city for dinner.â
She laughed. Along with wearing his shirts, sheâd taken to stealing a pair of boxers to sleep in.Â
Feyre dropped to the floor, and he smirked down at her. âI was gone for five days, and thatâs the greeting I got. Next time Iâm staying away for six.â
She swung a hand and punched his shoulder, which probably hurt her more than him, and told him, âYouâre so very funny, Rhysand. Please feed me.â
Her husband gave her a shooing motion. âYou might want to put on something besides my boxers, then.â
She took his advice.
About an hour later, she sat in front of him, watching as he adamantly tried to avoid looking at her.
Sheâd chosen a dark green dress--unremarkable except for the low neckline and short skirt--black heels, and simple makeup.
âAre you alright, Rhysand? You look like youâre having a stroke.â
Those violet eyes slid to hers. âIâm fine, thank you for asking. I like that dress.â
âI can tell.â
He looked at the ceiling. âWhen we get home, Iâm going to replace your entire wardrobe with burlap sacks.â
Feyre shrugged, then decided to take a chance. âYouâd still stare at me.â
His eyes met hers, and when he spoke, it was practically a purr. âAm I supposed to deny, Feyre darling, how attractive I find you?âÂ
The waiter arrived before she had to respond. She made a mental note to leave him a huge tip.
As they ate their meal, she was overly aware of how many people stared at them. The whispers that surrounded them.
She was about to ask how he dealt with it when a chair was slid up next to her, a heavy-set man settling in. âHello, Rhysand. I need to talk to you.â
The man was dressed in dark clothes, covered in tattoos, and had the promise of violence written across his every movement. He practically had the words drug dealer floating above his over-sized head.Â
âDante.â The warm look sheâd come to recognize in her husbandâs eyes was nowhere to be found. âWhatever it is, it can wait. Leave.â
âI promise you, it canât,â the man said boldly, continuing to ignore her presence entirely. âA shipmentâs gone missing.â
Feyre watched, stomach twisting, as Rhysand leaned forward and smiled cruelly. âWould you like to join it? I donât discuss business in front of my wife.â
My wife.Â
Despite the more than tense surroundings, Feyre felt a spark run through her at the words.Â
âThen the bitch can leave. I need to talk to you.â
There was a slight pause, then everything changed so quickly she didnât have time to process it. One minute she was watching the manâs face twist with impatience, the next there was a gun pressed against his ruddy forehead.Â
A gun that practically looked like an extension of Rhysandâs arm.
Her husband was standing, entire body stiff with anger. The look on his face was inhuman. And promised a slow, slow death as he looked towards the man on the recieving end.Â
âRefer to her as Feyre Asterra, or lose your fucking tongue.âÂ
The restaurant was dead quiet, everyone holding their breath and waiting to see what happened. No one dared move a muscle.Â
Except Dante, who nodded stiffly.Â
âNow apologize.â
The way he said it, the command in his voice... a thrill sparked through Feyre, and she bit her lip to keep the gasp in.Â
What was wrong with her? Where fear shouldâve taken root, there was raw, untapped excitement whirling inside her. Rhysandâs entire body was lined with power and dominance and rage, and it made her breath come quicker as she watched.
Dante looked at her, the hatred clear. âIâm sorry,â he spat, then looked back at Rhys.
Rhysand tilted his head, a king holding court. Another cruel smile. âBeg me.â
Something inside Feyre twisted at his words.Â
Beg me.
The manâs jaw flexed as he gritted his teeth, but he still said. âPlease, Rhysand. Iâve worked for you for five years. Iâm sorry.â
There was a pause, and she wouldnât be surprised if someone passed out in anticipation. Then Rhys made a soft tsk sound.Â
âYou no longer work for me. Youâre no longer welcome in this city. If I see you after tonight, I wonât be as forgiving.âÂ
The man opened his mouth to oppose, thought better of it, and sulked to the restaurant of the exit.
In that moment, Feyre knew why people called him the Son of Satan. Knew because, as calm as ever, he turned to their waiter and said, âCheck, please.â
~ nsfw warning ~
Rhysand stood in front of the fireplace in their room, silent as the dead.Â
He hadnât said a single word on the way home, and she could tell whatever had happened at dinner had been the tip of the iceberg. Something had gone wrong.Â
She replayed the meal over and over in her head, trying to figure it out, but only seemed to be able to remember one thing.
Beg me.Â
Something had snapped inside her tonight, and she couldnât keep herself still. Seeing him like that, seeing the power he had over people...
Slipping off the bed, Feyre walked up behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist.Â
Her hands were spread on his taut stomach, but he gripped her wrists and took them off. When he spoke, his voice was rough and low. âI canât do this right now. Iâm not... Iâm trying to keep my promise to you.â
Stay good with me. It felt like sheâd said that a lifetime ago.Â
Rhys turned around, drank whatever was in his glass, and looked down at her. There was violence and anger and animalistic rage in his gaze.Â
It did little to calm the roar in her veins.
âBreak your promise.â
A muscle in his jaw flickered, but he kept his hands to himself.
She wanted him so bad she could hardly stand. Her hands found their way to his chest, needing to touch him. âPlease.â
Suddenly, she was pressed against the mantle near the fire, heat scorching up her leg. His glass fell to the floor as his hands pressed against her shoulders.Â
Heâd barely touched her, and she was breathing like sheâd run a mile.Â
A hand came to trace her bottom lip, then he was kissing her, and she finally let out a sigh.
The day of their wedding pictures, his kiss had been decadent and exploring. But that was when he was happy.Â
When Rhys was pissed off, he kissed her in a raw, aggressive sort of way that made her lose her mind. A hand pulled her hair, making her tilt her head back, and he deepened the kiss.Â
Sheâd just started to unbutton his shirt when he lifted her by the back of the thighs, then dropped them both to the floor and pinned her underneath him.Â
Rhys braced himself over her trapping her arms above her head. She thought about the first time theyâd been like this, and the look in his eye said he was doing the exact same thing.Â
âI wanted you so bad that night,â he told her, voice rough.
She arched her back, chest pressed against his, and he gave her a wolfâs smile.Â
âDid you want me, too?â he asked, lips and teeth on her collarbone.Â
Feyre nodded.Â
His mouth drifted down to her chest, and his teeth scraped her nipple through her dress. Rhys looked up at her, more monster than man in his eyes, and asked, âWere you wet for me, Feyre?â
Okay. Maybe it had been a mistake to encourage being together right now.Â
Only one way to find out.
She nodded again, and his eyes went dark.
A hand remained pinning her wrists, the other drifting up her thigh. His fingers grazed the lace of her panties, then slipped inside.Â
He ran a finger up her core, and she shifted beneath him.Â
âStay still,â he ordered, the command in his voice making her freeze.Â
His finger slipped inside her, and he nudged the neck of her dress down to take a breast in his mouth. He made a humming sound in appreciation as he moved, then added another finger.
Feyre moaned, pushing uselessly against the grip on her hands. It was too much. He was too much. She wouldnât survive this.
But she couldnât force herself to stop.Â
Sheâd been right. Now that sheâd started, a shower of bullets wouldnât make her leave this room.
His stubble scraped the valley between her breasts, and then they were kissing, a deep, wet slide of tongues and lips and teeth. He kissed her in time to the movement of his hand, and Feyre groaned into his mouth.
âI need more,â she panted onto his skin.
Rhysandâs teeth closed softly on her shoulder, and then he was looking down at her. His eyes were so dark they were like the nighttime sky, and then he said the words she didnât know sheâd been craving.Â
âBeg me.â
She whimpered underneath him, shifting restlessly.Â
A small, knowing smile was on his face, and she wouldâve punched it off if she hadnât been so attracted to it.Â
âPlease. Please.â
His hand was on her jaw, and he pressed a wet kiss to her lips. âGood girl.â
Lord help me.
He made quick work pulling her clothes off, then leaned back on his knees, surveying her head to toe.Â
She repaid the favor.Â
She didnât know when his shirt had fallen open, but she sure as shit wasnât complaining.Â
His chest was covered in tattoos, the dark swirls running across his pecs and shoulders, all the way to his fingertips. The tattoos, the dangerous look in his eyes... Feyre lost a bit of her sanity as she leaned up to drag her mouth up his stomach.
Flicking open his belt, Rhys pushed her back down. Then his pants were pulled down, and he was spreading her thighs and settling in between them before she got a proper look.Â
âAgain.â He looked half crazed with anger and lust.Â
She nipped at his bottom lip. âPlease.â
He was pushed inside her, deep and slow and steady. He groaned in her ear, and the sound threatened what remained of her.
Then he gripped her hips, lifted slightly, and began to move.Â
Holy gods.
Feyre didnât know what language she was speaking in, but it wasnât English. She was murmuring incoherent somethings, not able to string together proper thoughts.
She moved in rhythm with him as he picked up speed, and even though they were spread out on the ground, Feyre felt like a freaking queen.Â
He was taking his time, listening and learning what she liked, and she could feel herself getting closer and closer to the edge.
Soon she was so loud it was a miracle they didnât have close neighbors.Â
But as soon as she felt release start to come, he paused his movements.Â
The sound that came out of Feyreâs mouth was close to a snarl.Â
Rhysand smiled, gripping her chin. âDo you want to come, Feyre darling?â
If she wasnât practically immobile, sheâd strangle him. âYouâre such an insufferable bastard, Rhysand Asterra. Yes.â
âAnd what do people say when they want something?â
She bit his lip in frustration, but said, âPlease, you pri-â
His hips slammed into hers, a moan cutting her off as release crashed into her. Muscles twitching, face pinched in concentration, he followed her lead, collapsing on top of her.Â
They laid there together, both breathing heavily, until she started losing air. He rolled off her and looked over her with male satisfaction.
There was still a little tension from earlier, but his usual brightness and light was back. It was impossible not to smile at the happiness coursing through her veins.Â
Then he opened that smart mouth. âLetâs take a moment to remember when you said you could go two years without sleeping with me.â
âIn my defense,â she panted back, âI hadnât seen you in action before.â
He looked adorably shocked. âSo threatening to shoot people is hot to you?â
âWhen itâs because of me, yeah.â She flicked his bicep, unable to help it. âI almost jumped you right then and there.â
He started kissing her neck, grinning against her skin. âI might have to hunt him down, then.â
She laughed, hands playing in his thick hair. Feyre pulled him back on top of her, a deliciously heavy dead weight. âI think I might have to update my pros and cons list.â
Rhysand laughed, and Feyre doubted a year of looking at that smile would be enough.Â
Hell, a lifetime might not be enough.Â
She didnât let the thought linger.Â
âDo you think thereâs some innocent people around for you to threaten?â
A kiss to her temple. âIâll hire someone if I have to.â

Part 3
[8:30 PM]
It was Saturday night. Your parents rewarded you with the weekend off and you caught up on some sleep and did some online shopping. You sat in your apartment in one of the many high rises in Downtown Mystic. You laid on the couch and scrolled through a webtoon on your tablet, kicking your legs like a lovesick schoolgirl. The latest chapter of the webcomic had you gushing.Â
Your phone sounded off a text. You didnât even have to check who it was.
Your parents were back for two weeks now and Yutaâs gifts did not cease. He was sneaky, you had to hand it to him. He somehow always knew when your parents werenât around to drop things off at your office. It was a good thing he never figured out where you lived.
Day 1 (when your parents came back): The Tiffany necklace
Day 2: a $250 gift card to the Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa
Day 3: a Versace safety pin evening dress (he knew your measurements a little too well as it fit you like a glove)
Day 4: Godiva chocolate covered strawberries delivered to you every night before you left for work
âŠ..It made your head spin to even go to Day 14.Â
You didnât use any of Yutaâs giftâs (except for the strawberries because those couldnât go to waste and you planned to start up a payment plan with him when you kindly rejected him...AGAIN).Â
Every time you tried to approach Yuta, though, you were always pulled in another direction by an employee at work. You were everyoneâs go-to woman. Their emotional support only daughter. You couldnât catch a break.
To hell with it, when you got back to work on Monday night, you would ignore everyone for 10 minutes and they would just have to accept it. You would find Yuta when he âstopped by to meet a friendâ like he has for the past two weeks.Â
Taeyong wasnât around much either. You met up only a couple of times to French kiss like it was a contact sport but conveniently neither of you had time to be disappointed when you had to part. You both had lives to live. Separately.Â
So, there you were, on Saturday night, feeling antsy with nothing to do now that you had to wait for the next chapter of True Beauty to update next week. You werenât used to being free on a Saturday. It was a weird feeling. To no avail, you called up a couple of friends to see if they were down to go clubbing. You were always the designated driver so you thought they would jump at the chance to avoid paying for a Lyft.Â
Alcohol only had a temporary effect on your body: hence, the dream designated driver. 99% human. You wished there was a name for the type of creature you were. Your parents were adamant that you were a human but you knew you stood out from the rest of that population. Your parents were never particularly fond of talking about your family history either so that did wonders for your anxiety.
Age 16
âBut mom, how is that I can sense things? The other day at CVS I got change back from the cashier and I knew he wasnât human. How does that make sense?â I asked.
âYou were kissed by an angel, sweetheart. You were blessed with all sorts of quirky gifts. But you are a human: the purest of all of the creatures. Well, below angels. But weâre pretty close.â She replied, winking. I inherited humility from her, apparently.
Now that you were getting older...you were starting to have doubts about this whole âkissed by an angelâ business. Why didnât your mom have any of your abilities? It just didnât add up.Â
You could only hold on to the things you knew: you could understand any creature, you could identify any creature in disguise, your cuts from falls healed very quickly, you could manipulate your dreams, your alcohol tolerance was most impressive, and you had a powerful urge to be with a vampire.Â
You missed the feel of Taeyongâs elegant fingers tracing against your thighs and moving dangerously close to your heat. His teasing was torturous but you enjoyed every second of it. You found yourself mimicking his movements to yourself and imagining he was there with you.Â
You got off on fantasizing Taeyong on top of you on the couch but the euphoria didnât last long.
You sighed. You felt really stupid for not sharing your phone number with him.Â
 đ„
You thought about going to Target for the hell of it since you never had a chance to go. Your unusual schedule would usually lead you to groggily shop for groceries at 8 in the morning once in a while. You were elated to go at nighttime and kill a couple of hours browsing.
You chose to go makeup free and in an old university tee and yoga pants. It felt good not give a fuck about how you looked for a night.Â
You headed over to Target and made a beeline for the Starbucks to get a frappuccino. You havenât had one of them in months and you were close to the point of tears when you tasted the whipped cream again .
You moaned in happiness. âYes.â
âIâve heard that before,â a voice came from behind you.Â
You jumped at hearing Taeyongâs voice. âAH!â
Taeyong chuckled when you turned around. âStop! I couldâve dropped my frap.â
He was in a loose-fitting white tee and black jeans. They looked affordable but you knew that was not the case. He took the straw and drank some of your drink. âI wouldâve bought you another one.â
You rolled your eyes. âVery charming. What are you doing here?âÂ
âItâs nice to see you, too, y/n,â he said, pecking your cheek and caressing it.Â
You sighed. âDo you live around here?â This Target was down the street from your place.Â
He shook his head. âIâve been on the lookout for a video game for Doyoung. Iâve been to two Targets already.â Doyoung was one of Taeyongâs vampire pals.Â
You frowned. âYou shouldâve called ahead and asked if they had it in stock.â
Taeyongâs eyes grew. âI did not realize that was an option.â
You laughed. âItâs cool. If you want, we can go to all of the Targets across town until we find Doyoungâs game.â
He smiled. âIâd like that.â
The third time was the charm as Taeyong found Doyoungâs game: Princess Peach & Pals 2. You high fived each other when you checked it out.
Taeyong asked, âI didnât see you at Sinema yesterday. Are you okay?âÂ
You took his hand and squeezed it. âGot the weekend off.â
Taeyong looked happier than you did when your parents told you. âIâm glad. You really needed it.âÂ
âYeah, youâre right. Itâs kind of weird not having any plans or someone knocking at my door asking for help with the claw machine.â
He chuckled because he helped you fix the claw machine a couple of times. âSo youâre free, then?â
âYup. Why? What were you thinking?â
He stepped back and wrapped his arms around you from behind. âSpend the night with me.â
You restrained yourself from yelling yes a hundred times. âOkay.â
Taeyong led you to the parking lot. He approached his motorcycle, a 2018 Suzuki. You stopped. How could you forget that he rode a motorcycle.
ây/n?â Taeyong asked as he pulled out two helmets.Â
âYou know what, how about I just take a Lyft over to your place? Gives you time to hide your snacks and your blood bags.â You avoided his stare.
He frowned. âWhy?â
âIâm...I donât do motorcycles.â You hugged yourself.Â
You were scared, Taeyong realized. He never wanted you to be afraid. He tried his best to see to it that you would feel safe without him. He never wanted to cross a line that you drew. He thought the only way he could scare you was if he bit you.Â
He thought wrong.Â
âIâll go slow, I promise,â he said as he hugged you again.Â
You mumbled against his chest. âI donât knowâŠâ
âYou can trust me. I donât live that far from here. Itâll be ten minutes, tops.â
You knew your fear was over-the-top but you couldnât help it. So many maniacs were on the road. You could barely keep it together in your Corolla. But you were curious. You wanted to push the fear aside and be a little reckless. Taeyong wouldnât let anything happen to you. Regardless of what your parents told you, vampires were strong and they protected their own. Taeyong regarded you as an equal. Heâs said it multiple times. You were his friend and he would take care of you.
So what the hell?
âOkay,â you said, steadying your voice.Â
He helped you secure your helmet. He did the same for himself. He got onto the bike. He nodded for you to get on. You wrapped your arms tightly around his abdomen. It was rock solid and you could feel his heartbeat accelerate.Â
âHey. Donât let me distract you,â you teased.
He chuckled. âEven when youâre not around, love.â
You smacked his arm. âYouâre so annoying.â
He laughed. âYou ready?â
âLetâs go,â you said as you squeezed him tighter.
Taeyong enjoyed this more than you will ever know. He started up the bike and you moved at a decent speed out of the parking lot. Your heart rate was deceiving you and you knew Taeyong could feel it, too.Â
You just let yourself feel what you felt and hoped that excitement would take over. And it did.Â
When you got onto the main road, you cheered and laughed. You let yourself be free. For all of your life, you liked to think you had some freedom. At the root of it all, you were stuck in a lot of ways: family obligations, your career, and who you could marry, to name a few. But in this moment with Taeyong, youâve never felt freer.Â
đ„
Taeyong purchased one of the properties at a luxurious oceanfront hotel, Hotel La Mar. He lived on the top floor.Â
âMake yourself at home,â he said. âIâm going to wash up.â
You marveled at the spacious apartment. The furniture was leather and the floor was a plush carpet. You could envision yourself curling on the floor. Thatâs how cozy the space felt.
The living room had a plasma screen TV with shelves and shelves of movies: everything you could think of.
Huh, a movie theater employee human hybrid (?) with a cinephile vampire lord. An interesting concept, you thought. You kept exploring and noticed that there werenât many photographs around the space. There was one of Taeyong posing in front of the Eiffel Tower at night. Bold of him to break the rules overseas, you giggled to yourself. Another frame contained a visibly older photo. It was a picture of Taeyong and who you assumed were his family: his parents and his sister. You wondered when this was taken.
â1985,â Taeyong answered into your ear, causing the hairs on the back of your neck to rise.
You yelped.
He took the photo frame into his hands so you both could admire it. âThis is my family. My mom, my dad, and my older sister Chaewon.â
1985? Taeyong looked exactly the same as he did in that picture. That must have been around the time he became a vampire, you thought.
âI turned a year after that,â he said. You noted the hesitance in his voice.
âOh,â you said.
âWhen I was a human, I fell in love with a vampire.â
âOh, so weâre going there...â
Taeyong took you out to the balcony so you could watch the night sky over the ocean.
âWe donât have to talk about it-â He started.
âAre you kidding me?â Youâve been dying for more intel on this man.
He smiled amusingly at you. You were so curious and open with him. You were precious to him.
âI met Cleo when I was 22...She was older than me. I didnât realize at the time just how much older. I worked at my fatherâs dojo over the summer after I graduated from college. I was going to get my masterâs in architecture. I had everything going for me. I dated a few girls in college but I didnât find someone I wanted to settle down with. I was...a bit of a hopeless romantic.â
Still are, you thought to yourself.
âI was closing the dojo one night when a couple of thugs broke in to rob the place. They were in the process of beating me to a pulp when Cleo and her friends came in and...took care of them.â
You understood that to mean they were sucked dry.
âShe told me sheâd been watching me for a while and didnât know how to introduce herself. So that night was as good a time as any. I was shocked to see vampires for the first time. Once upon a time, the world you see every day at Sinema was a fairy tale for me.â
You figured as much. Not all vampires were born as vampires.
âBut I couldnât get Cleo out of my mind so soon I fell into that world. Never looking back.â
And thatâs when you heard the regret in his voice.
âCleo paraded me all over the supernatural parts of the country. She would take me to clubs. Introduce me to her friends. I moved in with her not even a month after we met. The first time she drank my blood...I didnât expect the emotions to be so strong.â
The alarm bells rang off in your head.
âI was all hers after that, y/n. She bewitched me. I was at her beck and call. Nothing else mattered but how I could please her.â
You could see the pain in his eyes and how he avoided looking at you.
âThatâs why...â You started.
Taeyong continued, âI canât do that to you. Itâs not worth the risk. My escorts? Those human women visited witches to give them the resistance from falling under a vampireâs spell. An attraction can grow, sure, but the intense devotion a human feels to a vampire is taboo now. Vampires donât want to deal with what they would call collateral damage after having one night of unadulterated pleasure.â
You couldnât believe what you were hearing. Your heart hurt for the man before you. It wasnât his fault that he was under Cleoâs spell. She manipulated him.
âBut every now and then, a vampire just wonât care,â he said.
Which means this kind of abuse still went on to this day, you realized.
âAfter the first bite, I begged Cleo for more. She offered to do me one better and asked for me to join her on her travels around the world: as her vampire prince. Her words. Not mine.â
Taeyong sighed and rolled his eyes. âLooking back on it, it was bullshit. But the human me was...singing from the rooftops. I idolized that woman. She was the key to my happiness. I would follow her to the ends of the earth. And that I did.â
You thought about his family and his life.
âI was a vampire. I couldnât live my human life anymore. I was devoted to Cleo and that was all that mattered. I gave up on my masterâs. I told my parents I was getting married, traveling the world, and didnât plan on coming back. I was mad at them, y/n. They told me I was a fool for throwing away my future for a woman who sucked me in and would spit me back out. I hated that they doubted me but even more that they doubted Cleo.â
âSo you left...â
âI did and it didnât take long for me to realize that my parents were right. I loved her unconditionally, knowing full well that she was preying on other humans like me, building an empire...well, a harem would be a more accurate term. Soon, I realized I was no longer her favorite and it was eating me up from the inside. I...couldnât take it so I-â
You felt a sense of dread at what he was about to say next.
âI never even considered the possibility that I could end my addiction to her. I just thought of the quickest way to put me out of my misery. I planned to stab myself in the chest.â
You put your hand to your mouth. âTaeyong...I-â
He squeezed your hand. âItâs okay.â
âItâs a lot...Remembering your darkest days...I donât want you to feel pressured to tell me everything,â you added as you traced your fingers against his knuckles.
He shook his head. âI want to share this with you.â His brown eyes shifted into bright a shade of blue, suddenly.
âTaeyong, your eyes...â
âTheyâre blue, arenât they?â
âYes but why?â
âIâll explain. Someone saved me the day I wanted to end it all. Jaejoong. Jaejoong...is like a father to me. He talked me down and helped extract Cleoâs latches off of me. And with that, my memories of her were gone. The witch who helped us with this process was able to conserve pieces of my memories and I only had the nerve to access them recently...After I met you.â
âTaeyong...â
âI wanted to know why I couldnât let myself bite you. Something inside me was holding me back. I wanted to drink from you so badly but you werenât an escort. I knew the rules. About the damage that could be caused. But I wanted to understand the nagging feeling at the back of my mind. And accessing those memories again...my eyes turn blue as I reflect on the darkest time in my life.â
âOh, Taeyong...â You sat curled up against him and held him tightly. âIâm so sorry.â
Taeyong tucked some of your hair back so he can cup your face. âThank you for listening to me. I thought you would be running for the hills by now.â
âEveryone has their dark past. Granted, mine consists of a crappy ex-boyfriend but my point is that I really appreciate you telling me about yourself. I didnât expect that.â
Taeyong sighed. âYou know, the arrangement we have...â
âYeah?â
âI like it. But...â He stared out at the sea.
âGo on,â you said as you kissed his neck.
âI donât want to be just friends with you,â he almost whispered. You were close enough to his lips to hear every syllable clearly.
âI know...â
âYou do?â He looked down at you as you played around with the fabric of his tee.
âYou told me everything...Basically. I donât think you did it without an agenda,â you said as you removed yourself off of him and looked into his eyes.
He rubbed his hands against your legs, wishing youâd worn shorts so he can feel your soft skin heat up at his touch. âWhat do you think?â
You were about to respond when his hands ran up to your butt and he squeezed it. âI...I think weâre ready to move up another level.â
He smiled. âReally?â
Before he went for your butt again, you got yourself up and straddled him. âReally.â
You kissed him deeply, begging his tongue to meet yours. Taeyong quickly reciprocated.
He cupped your face again. âYou are so beautiful.â
âI know you mean that,â you said, realizing you looked like a struggling college student in your getup. He really liked you. He wouldnât avoid your stare. He was happy.
The blue in his eyes vanished and it was back to his warm dreamy brown.
âYou okay?â You asked.
âNever better,â he said as you pulled you closer to him. He always embraced you like it was his last time.
He was indeed a hopeless romantic.
âSo...â You couldnât get Cleo out of your mind, though. You wondered what she looked like and how she seduced Taeyong. At one point, Taeyong was in love with her without the enchantment of a vampire. You couldnât help but wonder if he ever compared you to her. And just how much he remembered after the memory wipe. âWhere is Cleo now?â
He cleared his throat. âSheâs dead.â
There was a sense of dread again at the pit of your stomach. âHow did she die?â You sat beside him again.
âJaejoong...finished her,â he continued.
â...How?â
âWhen Cleo found out I had defected to another clan, she was furious,â he said.
âShe came after you?â You asked, shocked she would care so much.
âItâs not that she cared,â he answered your thoughts again without realizing it. âIt was a matter of pride for her. I was her property. And Jaejoong took it away from her.â That infuriated you.
Taeyong continued, âJaejoong hid me away from her for a year. So I wouldnât be tempted to go back to her. Even if her influence escaped me, she could easily lure me in again. I was weak, starved for love. For anything I could get from her after I left everything behind.â
âTaeyong...â
âIn 1987, Jaejoong and Cleo faced off. She perished from a wooden bullet shot to the heart.â
You still had so much you wanted to ask. âHow do you know sheâs gone?â You blurted. You didnât have a lot of remorse for the death of this woman, you understood.
He met your gaze. âJaejoong brought me to her body.â
You waited for him to continue.
He said, âAnd we burned it, making sure no trace of her remained.â
He worried that you would see him differently upon hearing this.
But you understood. She was a monster that preyed upon innocent people and played with them like dispensable toys. You hated that someone could be so vile and tinker with the heart of the man you...
Liked.
âWow,â you said, meekly.
âI know,â he said, âJaejoong took in the lost boys of her clan and helped them become independent. Like he did with me. Now we pledge our loyalty to him.â
You wondered if Jaejoong was really as heroic of a man as Taeyong made him out to be.
đ„
You sat with Taeyong in the kitchen. You took some cake mix out from your shopping tote and asked him if you could bake it. âMind if I use your kitchen?â
âDepends. What flavor is the cake?â
âRed velvet,â you answered.
âOnly if I can lick the spoon,â he said as he helped pull out all of the supplies and ingredients.
As you mixed the cake mix with the other ingredients, Taeyong watched you.
You were something else. After telling you some of his darkest memories, you didnât run off. You didnât doubt him. You stayed. And for that, he would be eternally thankful.
âYou can lick the spoon now,â you sang.
Taeyong creeped up from behind you, dipped his finger into the bowl, scooped some of the batter and ran it across your neck. You stood still.
He moved his finger dangerously slow across your neck and his tongue followed even more slowly behind. You moaned at his delicate touch.
âIt tastes pretty good,â he whispered. You could feel his cock grow against your leg.
Taeyong held you from behind as you finished putting the mix into a pan. You laughed at how he clung to you like a koala.
The cake would take about half an hour to bake, which meant...
âLead the way, Taeyong,â you said.
He scooped you up and he bolted to his bedroom. You laughed.
He tossed you on the plush California king bed and nearly pounced on top of you. You yelled and giggled like you were playing tag.
He kissed you hard as he laid against the bed frame. You pulled his shirt off. He did the same. You surprised him then.
âWhereâs your bra?â He asked.
âI took it off when I went to the bathroom. I thought you noticed and thatâs why weâre here now.â
âI mean, your nipples looked...â
You pulled him closer. âHow do they look?â You lowered your voice.
âPretty,â he said as he kissed you again. You pulled down his pants and cock greeted you.
Taeyong stood up on the bed as you kneeled down to greet his gorgeous length.
You grasped it hard and Taeyong grunted. âDoes it feel good, baby?â You asked.
âYes, love,â he said as he ran his fingers against your hair.
You took his length into your mouth and moved slowly back and forth, enjoying the taste of precum in your mouth and the sound of Taeyongâs moans. His length tickled the back of your throat. The discomfort was mild but you liked giving him blow jobs. So with practice, the pain became pleasure. You were getting wet at the thought of pleasuring him now.
âFeel me,â you said as you moved your eyes down to your panties. Taeyong put his hands down there and gently placed two fingers inside of you. He moaned again as you sucked faster.
You wanted Taeyong to know that you werenât there to play with his heart. That was never what you wanted. You wanted to get to know him. And you didnât want to keep lying to yourself. You were all in. And somehow, you would find a way to make it work.
Taeyong tugged tightly at your hair as he was on the verge of his climax. The thought of his climax aroused you ever further and felt the vibrations deep down in your belly. When he came, you found yourself soaked from him and yourself. You lathered up his cum. You fingered yourself and gave him a taste of your essence. You took all of his cum in and dragged your tongue up to his abdomen and met his lips. You kissed him.
He hugged you and wiped the sweat off of your forehead. âI love you.â
You exhaled like you held your breath for a long time. âI love you, too.â
He laid you down so he could pleasure you. He kissed you again and ran his hands up your thighs and forced them open. You gasped.
He greedily lathered up your cum. âYou are exquisite.â He began running his index finger in and out of your clit. You started rocking back and forth.
He tsked. âStay still, angel. Or Iâm going to stop.â
You whined. âMeanie.â
He laughed his deep laugh and just the sound of that made you moan.
His unoccupied hand gripped your thigh tightly, squeezed your ass, and caressed you face. He liked watching you come undone under him. It kept awake sometimes when he was home alone.
He continued to finger you and you mewled when he inserted two fingers. You felt yourself building up again. You couldnât help but rock back and forth. You wanted to climax.
âTaeyong, please,â you begged.
He smiled as he removed his fingers.
You whined even more. âEvil overlord, please.â
He pecked your lips. âYour wish is my command.â
He quickly inserted his cock and it hit you hard that you cried out. The pain quickly became pleasure as you both moved back and forth.
âFuck,â he exclaimed. âI fucking love you.â
âI...love...you...â You managed to get out until you both released.
You both went for two more rounds before passing out on the bed. He held you as he covered you under the sheets. The timer went off for the cake.
You were about to get up but Taeyong pulled you back.
âItâll cool. Itâs okay. Just stay with me,â he said as he snuggled up against you.
âYouâre so clingy,â you said as you laid your back against his front. He spooned you. His cock was in your ass. Youâd wanted to do this with him for a while.
Taeyong was beaming. You were beside him now and neither of you was in a rush to leave. You could take your time and enjoy each other.
He moaned against your neck. âAre you hungry, though?â
You laughed. âIâm good.â
So you laid beside each other as the sun rose and slept for hours.
đ„
You stayed asleep but Taeyongâs phone rang. He slowly got up from bed and covered you with the sheets. You frowned in your sleep like you unconsciously knew he left your side. He laughed quietly as he took his phone off the nightstand.
He walked out of the room so as not to disturb you.
âHey Jaejoong, how was South Africa?â He asked.
His leader chuckled over the phone. âBeautiful. The great white sharks were incredible. You have to come with me next time.â
âAre you back in the country?â Taeyong asked excitedly. Jaejoong was gone for a while on his travels.
âYes. I landed today in Mystic.â
Taeyong replied, âThatâs great. You have to come over for dinner. Iâll make your favorite chicken parm and you can drop off all of the souvenirs you bought for me.â
Jaejoong laughed. âI hope a keychain wonât disappoint you. How about I come over tonight? Thereâs something I wanted to talk about with you.â You noticed the shift in his tone.
âIs everything okay?â Taeyong asked.
âYeah...Theyâll be even better soon enough,â Jaejoong said.

-ËË chapter nine ËË-
WEDNESDAY
4:45 PM
âKindaichi, nice kill!â Iwaizumiâs voice boomed in the midst of the constant squeaking of volleyball shoes against the wooden floor. It was yet another busy afternoon practice session for Seijohâs boyâs volleyball club for Iwaizumi Hajime. As the vice captain, he has a range of responsibilities to fulfill.
These responsibilities include keeping trouble makers in line.
âKyotani! Youâre late! Start stretching already!â Iwaizumi yelled at the second year student who came almost two hours late. The blonde buzzcut haired boy clicked his tongue at his senior but complied anyway.
Additionally, a vice captain should also help those in need.
âWhatâs the matter, Yahaba?â Iwaizumi approached his troubled looking junior who was staring at the volleyball in his hands. âAh, Iwaizumi-san, I canât seem to set the ball accurately enough in a high toss.â He muttered out of frustration. Iwaizumi being the resident wing spiker swallowed the lump in his throat as he attempted to find advice for the younger setter.
Of course, Yahabaâs worry can be eradicated with a snap of a finger if the club had one of the best all rounder players in the whole prefecture. Iwaizumiâs workload can certainly also be lifted if he had a reliable captain on his side.
If only Seijoh had such a good ace setter as their captain.
In reality, Seijoh did have one. Until that specific player, who happens to be the captain, decided to throw an emo fit suit for a thirteen year old boy going through puberty.
âIâm sorry, I know I should be asking Oikawa-san for advice but heâs just erâŠâ Yahaba quietly said, confused on how to act around Oikawa with his sudden character change. âItâs fine, Iâm sorry I canât really help you with this but Iâll try asking that idiot when I can.â Iwaizumi sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, embarrassed at himself that he couldnât help his junior.
As Yahaba shuffled away to practice his tosses, Iwaizumi caught the coach signaling him to come over. âIwaizumi, are you sure you canât do anything about him? We have a practice match after this.â Coach Irihata sighed, his eyes signalling to the brunette setter sitting absent minded in the corner of the gym. Iwaizumi closed his eyes and took a deep long breath before answering his head coach, âIâll get him moving, donât worry.â
Coach Irihata gave the vice captain a sympathetic smile. It has been two week since Y/N last spoke to Oikawa and his performance as a setter and human being in general has quickly deteriorated. Two to three days into the last two weeks, he was still acting normal though Iwaizumi has caught him spacing out a bit too much than usual but now that the two week mark has passed, Oikawa appeared to be a completely different person.
âOi, Shittykawa.â The wing spiker huffed, kicking the setterâs foot lightly.
âWhat.â
âGet up.â
âYouâre not my mom, you canât tell me what to do.â
âI said GET UPâ Iwaizumi snapped, kicking Oikawaâs foot harder than before. Oikawa rolled his eyes at his best friend but did as he was told.
Iwaizumi gathered the rest of the team towards Oikawa and him with his broad shoulders wide. âAlright everyone, we have Date Tech coming in a few minutes for a match or two so we better get straight sets okay?â Iwaizumi announced to the rest of the team. âAlright!â the array of high schoolers chanted.
âWhatever.â
4:50 PM
âOikawa, itâs your turn to serve.â Matsukawa said as he handed the ball to his captain. Oikawa turned to the score board and sighed as it showed the ten point gap between his own team and Date Techâs.
Oikawa walked over to the end of the court with the ball in his hands, bouncing it up and down before cracking his neck in an attempt to focus though all efforts diminished as high pitched screams filled the room.
âOikawa senpai! Good luck!â A second year girl who Oikawa doesnât even recognize screamed from the bleachers. The collection of high pitched squeals filled OIkawaâs ears. Iwaizumi smirked at himself, thinking that his girl-crazed friend would at least improve his mood by a little bit from hearing his female fansâ support but instead widened his eyes as he watched OIkawa click his tongue and gave them a death glare.
The court immediately fell silent from the unexpected gesture of the usually charismatic captain. Hanamaki and Matsukawaâs jaws dropped at the sight of him ignoring his fans he usually fawns over.
Oikawa took several steps back and proceeded to run forwards towards the court, throwing the ball up and slamming his hand hard at the ball.
âOut!â Sakunami, Date Techâs libero yelled out a second before the ball slammed against the area beneath the white line that marked the court.
âShit.â Oikawa swore out loud as the rest of the Seijoh team swallowed the lump in their throats.
6:12 PM
Oikawa walked home under the quickly dimming sky with his hands in his pockets. His heart was far from content especially after losing to his opponent of the day. His phone was still in his right hand. His fingertips still had a sliver of hope for a buzz or two signifying Y/Nâs texts.
âQuit following me.â Â Oikawa stopped in his tracks to whip his head back towards the ace of the team who was five steps away from him
Iwaizumi walked over to his friend and put his dominant hand on his shoulder before hitting him on the head. âWeâve been going to the same train station for three years now, donât get ahead of yourself, Shittykawa.â Iwaizumi growled.
Oikawa giggled, contradictory to Iwaizumiâs expectations. âWhatâs so funny? Have you finally lost your mind?â Iwaizumi raised his eyebrow at the boy.
âNothing, itâs just that...Thank you, Iwa-chan.â Oikawa sighed softly, a bittersweet smile on his face.
âHa? Are you thanking me for hitting you? Cause I can do a lot more after your shitty behaviour today.â Scowled Iwaizumi.
âI know Iâve been such a pain in the ass, I mean, more than usual, and surely if I were you I wouldâve ditched my ass ages ago.â Oikawa started as Iwaizumi gawked at his unusual self awareness. âI know it sounds silly but hearing you call me that just made me relieved. At least someone in my life doesnât hate me, yâknow.â He continued softly.
âShe doesnât hate you.â
âShe does.â
âYouâre right.â
âIwa-chanâs an idiot! Youâre supposed to comfort me more. Boo!â Oikawa pouted, throwing a fake tantrum before starting to walk forward again towards the station.
Iwaizumi jogged to catch up with his best friend, whose head was tilted down once again. Though he couldnât see his face clearly through Oikawa's obnoxiously big hair, he could tell his facial expression went back to the one he has had for over two weeks.
âWhat would you say to her if you get to talk to her again?â Iwaizumi started the conversation again after walking in silence for a handful of minutes.
Oikawa hesitated, fumbling his walking pattern for a second. âI donât know. I just want to see her again. Am I bad?â He asked though it sounded more rhetoric to Iwaizumi.
âNo.â Iwaizumi put his hand on the lighter haired boyâs hair and ruffled it.
âBut you better have something to say.â he said under his breath, quiet enough for Oikawa to not notice at all.
THURSDAY
6:08 PM
âGoodbye everyone!â You exclaimed to the rest of the team before hopping off the steps of the gym. You ran your fingers through your hair as you began to walk towards the school gates. It has been a while since you walked back home yourself. Kageyama had an english test the following day so Daichi made him and Hinata stay back so Tsukishima could tutor them for a while. Though you insisted on helping them, Kageyama affirmed that you should go first before it gets too dark. Though Kageyama was never the talkative type, not hearing a second set of footsteps along with yours made you feel a little bit lonely.
You skipped your way to the gates, feeling oddly happy before your eyes unexpectedly caught sight of a certain schoolâs white jacket. Your legs stopped moving instinctively. With the turquoise text printed on the back of the jacket, you had no doubt that it was an Aoba Johsai student.
Though upon further inspection, you sighed in relief as you noticed the back of the personâs head was nowhere close to Oikawaâs hair style. There was just simply no way for OIkawaâs curls to stand spiked up like the boyâs hair.
You quietly began to walk again, not giving the student a second thought before he promptly called out your name with his unrecognized raspy voice.
âY/N?â
âY-Yes?â You turned your head slowly towards the Seijoh student. You didnât know how he knew your name or what business he had with you but you already had a bad feeling in your gut about him.
âAh, Um, please donât be afraid, I mean I guess I would be if I were in your shoes.â He said as he scratched the back of his neck, lowering his head slightly. âYou mightâve heard of me. Iâm Iwaizumi Hajime.â
The hairs on the back of your neck stood up immediately. That name didnât take you long to recognize. With the amount of times Oikawa brought him up in conversations, only an idiot would forget the Iwaizumi Hajime, despite never meeting him.
Though fear, quickly turned to anger. Your head started to heat up as you balled your fists, turning sharply to face Oikawaâs best friend directly.
âLook, if Oikawa-san told you to come here just ge-â
âHe didnât tell me to! Iâm not here for him- well, I am...but whatever you have in mind, itâs not it.â Iwaizumi frantically said, his hands waving in front of him though he retracted them quickly, avoiding giving you the wrong idea.
âPlease. Just let me explain.â He started to speak again, but this time much softer. You watched as his thick eyebrows drooped as the amount of hope slowly began to slip in between his fingers.
âMake it quick.â You crossed your arms and prayed that none of the Karasuno team would bump into you and Iwaizumi.
âOikawa...He really does care for you.â Iwaizumi started, biting his tongue right after to avoid the cringe expression he was dying to show after saying the phrase he just said to you. âAnd I donât want to overstep anything, well I guess I already am since Oikawa doesnât know that Iâm here, but Iâm not lying Y/N. I-Itâs amazing how you actually managed to tame that bastard, actually. Iâve never seen him act like this before in the whole twelve years I've known that idiot.â He sighed.
Your eyes widened at the things the stranger you just met have said. Tame? Acting differently? You didnât know what he was saying and you hate yourself for even having a conversation with Oikawaâs partner in crime but your curiosity got the better of you.
âWhat do you mean by acting differently?â You tried your best to remain indifferent and unbothered though snippets of your true intention probably have slipped out in between your words.
âWhere do I even start! Man, Matsukawa and Hanamaki have been going insane after seeing him like that for too long.â Your ears perked up at the sound of two more familiar names you recognised from Oikawaâs conversations. âWell, for a start, all life and light has been sucked dry from him. He has resorted to one word replies and sighs to everything compared to his usual sickening monologues he drops every now and then. He, the guy who checks the mirror as many times as he blinks, shows up to school without even brushing his hair anymore. He has abandoned his pride and joy, volleyball, completely now, not even being able to serve properly without hitting the net or out of the court.â By the time he had finished saying his last word, Iwaizumi was gasping for air which you admittedly laughed at.
âTrust me, I could go on and on and Iâm even sugar coating all this shit Iâve had to go through âcause of his dumbass!â He sighed.
âNow, Iâm not going to force you to do anything but please, could you hear him out just for a while at least?â He begged, the desperation evident in his eyes. You bit your lip as your gaze traveled from the third year to the ground.
Before you could open your mouth, a sudden ringtone filled the surroundings of the deserted Karasuno school gates. âAh shit, itâs Oikawa.â He swore as he checked his ringing phone. âI gotta get going, heâs not supposed to know that Iâm here. Y/N, Iâm sorry if I crossed a line, you donât have to give me an answer now, just think about it, âkay?â He calmly sighed after sliding his still ringing phone back into his pocket. You didnât know how to respond so all you could do was nod and bid him farewell.
The moment you got home, you threw all your belongings to a corner of your room and jumped into bed face first. It was all too overwhelming. You didnât know what to do or what to say.
To forgive or to not forgive?
Did you want to see Oikawa again? Of course you did. But could you take the truth he would reveal? You knew deep in your heart ignoring him and leaving him without even hearing an explanation was childish and unfair but you knew you wouldnât be able to take the truth. It would hurt even more if you heard it from his mouth instead of Hinataâs.
You grabbed your pillow and shoved your face into it harshly, drowning all light and letting yourself seep into the comforting darkness.
âI just want all of this to be over.â You whispered to yourself.

What is social proof? Itâs a marketing concept that we are all inadvertently, unknowingly contributing to every time we click on, retweet, like, reply or comment, and share any kind of social media, article, or blog post on the net. Technically, social proof, as defined by Sprout Social is:
The concept that people will follow the actions of the masses. The idea is that since so many other people behave in a certain way, it must be the correct behavior.
Social Proof and Me
As an author, social media is a hugely important part of my author platform, as it is for any writer or blogger. This is how we connect with readers now, even before the pandemic. Virtual, online events are now the norm. Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Live video discussions are the new book signings. Twitter chats are weekly on any number of topics; I have two of my own, in fact, #SexAbuseChat every Tuesday at 6 pm pst/9 pm est and #BookMarketingChat every Wednesday at 6 pm pst/9 pm est.
All important for visibility, branding, and most importantly, connection.
HoweverâŠthereâs a limit. I reached my limit over the course of this past year. It didnât come all at once. It came, little by little, reaching a peak this past month or so.
Why? How? Me, the so-called social media expert?
Access. Like many people, I have issues with the incredible level of access Facebook gives people once we friend them without our consent. PMs (private messages) are automatic, now with the ability for people to call, voice, and video message us, with no option to shut these options to OFF unless we unfriend the person (we can, however, mute a specific conversation). Technically, we do give them consent in the legal mumbo jumbo we all agreed to when we joined back in the 2010s.
I am not okay with this. And Facebook doesnât care. Nobody cares. Youâre probably thinking, âGeez, Karen. Shut up, already. Stop your whining, white lady.â I get it. I do. First-world problems.
I counter with: I hear you. Itâs also part of my business. A huge part. Hereâs why:
As someone who manages over 70+ various social media accounts as part of my BadRedhead Media business, plus my own accounts as well, Facebook requires I have a personal account in order to manage all those other Pages. I do understand why, particularly with all the ridiculousness of the past four years with the abundance of fake accounts, fake news, and such.
As a survivor of sexual abuse and stalking, this is ultra-concerning to me. So, what happened this past month or so? Suffice it to say, one person repeatedly tried calling me. I never pick up Facebook calls, especially if I donât know you. Another left me a few voice messages saying they were offended by something.
Yet another left me another message in ALL SHOUTY CAPS that she didnât find what I posted inspirational enough and she expected better from someone who is âsupposedly on the side of authors.â
Oh, and there is the one lady who started replying on ALL my posts to the kind people who did comment that she didnât think I replied often enough or to her satisfaction.
Well. Iâve been criticized before. You should read some of my 1-star reviews. Thereâs plenty!
But, for whatever reason, this struck a chord. I got up in my feels. I cried. I talked with one of them and we worked it out because we like and respect each otherâs work in the mental health space. The others I blocked. Itâs darn frustrating to donate hours of my time each week to helping writers solely because I want to, only to be told itâs not enough. Like, seriously? Fuck off.
My blood raged. My heart sank. Understandable, right?
But what really made me angry is that I put myself in that position by being available. I accepted that âit is what it is.â This is what the social media platforms have given us, so thatâs what I have to work within.
Iâm too available. Itâs too easy to leave me shitty messages. This is why people hire people like me â to handle this crap for them! So they donât have to read these ridiculous criticisms from judgy people who apparently have nothing better to do or are having a bad day.
And I get bad days. Itâs a damn pandemic. Weâre all struggling. Whereâs the damn compassion for one another?
I have a dislike/hate relationship with Facebook anyway, since about ten or so years ago when I discovered that a past love had died by suicide by going to his personal profile and seeing, âRIP dude,â messages there. We had spoken early that day. It still haunts me.
SoâŠwhat to do? Iâm claiming my time. Iâm not posting to my personal Facebook profile right now. Iâm ignoring it. I am checking my Pages and of course, my client Pages. When I feel like I can face it again, I will cull my âfriendsâ down from *checks real quick* 4385 people to maybe, I donât know, the few hundred in my groups, many of whom I do know and treasure.
Social Proof and You
If youâre a writer, social proof matters. This is the world we live in. Publishing is not only writing.
You need to be âfindable,â not only on Google, but also on each individual social platform, so your readers can learn more about you and hopefully, buy your books. If you go the traditional route, publishers and agents want to know how many followers you have (easily upped by buying fake followers or likes from Fiverr or wherever). I suggest not doing that, because:
1) fake followers donât buy booksÂ
2) itâs usually pretty obvious when you have fake followers because theyâre all foreign names, have questionable bios, and no tweets
3) do you really want to start your publishing career with a lie?Â
They also want to know what you post, how often, and what your branding is. If youâre an indie author, honestly, the same applies. Social proof is about connection, building relationships, and authenticity. Iâve believed that since I started my business and writing career way back in 2011, and I stand by it now. Start slow, grow slow. Itâs not a race.
Iâm the furthest thing youâll even find from a conspiracy theorist â I donât believe in chemtrails, pizza parlor cabals, or that the earth is flat. However, I am a realist. Watch The Social Dilemma sometime. These huge tech companies share our data without our knowledge or consent (Cambridge Analytics, anyone?). Younger generations are so used to this, they donât really care â ask them.
(My kids think having a chip implanted in their hands with all their data is a fabulous idea. âSo much easier than having to talk and repeat everything over and over. Just scan me and be done with it,â says my daughter Anya (21). âAgree,â grunts my son, Lukas (15). Buy stuff, go to the doctor, whatever. Scan and go. Talk with any GenZ kid, youâll likely get a similar answer. Theyâve been tracked since birth everywhere. They donât know life without a computer, tablet, or phone in their hands.)
Know that whatever we do, itâs all part of each platformsâ AI, and they share data, which is why that darling pair of shoes you just saw on Amazon is now showing up on Google, Facebook, Twitter, and every website you visit going forward. Itâs all about the money, and they all get a piece of that affiliate link.
Every bit of every click is recorded, even when youâre watching videos on YouTube, or a subscription service like Netflix, or perusing goods on Amazon. Itâs all connected. Iâm not shocked or surprised by any of this, are you?
Itâs Not Personal
What people say to us and about us is ultimately incredibly revealing about them. We know this, at an intellectual, psychological, and emotional level. Still, when people say mean things, it hurts. Weâre human.
Does it matter in the overall scope of our lives? Who can say. It matters at that moment. It can matter when it comes to overall visibility when youâre marketing your book(s) or trying to get that book contract or interview. Only you can say if it matters to you.
Already a longtime fan of THE FOUR AGREEMENTS by Don Miguel Ruiz, I took a moment to reorient myself with this one agreement: Donât take anything personally. I also stumbled across an excellent short and entertaining TEDTalk by Frederick Imbo. His main message to stop taking things personally is two-fold;
Itâs not about me. Look at the other personâs intention and
It IS about me. Give yourself some empathy. Speak up. Ask questions. Pay attention to how you feel and be vulnerable with your needs.
Iâm glad I was able to, inadvertently, employ point #2 and work out some issues with one of the people by telling him what he said made me cry. He apologized. I apologized. We talked it through and weâre still friends.
Ultimately, social media is what we contribute to it. What we make it. How much we allow of it into our lives. Social proof is going along with the tide. Iâve been in this space since 2008. Being connected to others is a big part of the work I do to help and support not only other writers, but also other childhood sexual abuse survivors. However, Iâve reached that point. I knew it was coming.
Iâm not shutting my doors. Iâm just adding a screen. With a strong lock.

âââââââââââââââââââââââ
The phone rings wake Grayson up in the morning. He lazily takes a quick look at the clock on his wall, only to find out itâs only 7.30 in the morning. He usually drags himself out of his bed around 8 during weekends, so he considers 7.30 is too early for a phone call. But as soon as he notices the caller, he immediately answers it.
âHello?,â he greets the other person with his raspy, morning voice.
âBaby, can you please pick me up at the airport?,â Isla begs on the other side of the line. âIâm here already.â
Grayson brings his hand up to his face, rubbing his eye with the back of his hand as he mumbles, âBaby? I thought youâre supposed to be here at 9.30?,â he remembers exactly that she told him that her flight arrivalâs supposed to be at 9.30.
âSurprise!,â Isla giggles.
âItâs not even my birthday,â he chuckles.
âI missed you, pretty please? I canât wait to attack your face with kisses,â Isla continues to beg. âWe can have breakfast at Maywood later? Iâve been craving for their pancakes,â she suggests.
Grayson shifts his gaze to Bianca; asleep, being wrapped around his arm. His lips form into a smile as he watches her sleeping peacefully beside him. He keeps his arm wrapped around her in her sleep, only to make sure that sheâs okay.
âBaby?,â Isla calls for him once again, noticing his silence.
âYeah?,â he quickly turns his focus back to his girlfriend.
âCan we? Can we?,â sheâs getting impatient.
âUh... yeah, yeah, sure. Breakfast, right?,â he confirms.
âYeah,â she replies.
âAlright, Iâll see you soon, babe,â he nods, though he knows that she canât see it. As soon as he hangs up, he turns his gaze back to the girl sleeping beside him.
He promised her last night.
But itâs only picking Isla up from the airport, breakfast, and itâll be over, right?
So he quietly drags himself out of his bed, not wanting to wake her up since she deserves the rest. He gives her forehead another kiss before he disappears into the bathroom to take a quick shower.
âââââââââââââââââââââââ
Itâs nearly 10 am.
Biancaâs finally wakes up, only to find her lying alone on Graysonâs bed. She remembers the fact that she fell asleep in his arms that night but heâs nowhere to be found.
Where is he?
Bianca eagerly jumps out of his bed, heading out of his bedroom to find him. He promised her that heâll drive her to the hospital. So maybe he woke up early to do a little work out before he takes her to the hospital.
She takes a quick look to the backyard through the window from the hallway. Grayson usually has his work out session in their backyard, but she canât find him there. Thereâs no one in the backyard.
Maybe heâs taking a shower?
She knocks on the bathroom door, calling for his name. âGrayson?,â she calls. âAre you there?â
Thereâs nothing but silence.
âGray?,â she calls once again. She turns the doorknob and finds out the door is unlocked; which means he isnât there as well. And thatâs when she hears some sound coming downstairs, from the kitchen.
Is he there? Preparing breakfast?
She quickly runs down the stairs, making her way to the kitchen, only to find his twin brother sitting on a stool, having a plate of french toast
âMorning, Bi!,â he greets her with a smile on his face.
âMorning, E,â she replies as she hops onto the other stool.
âYou woke up late, are you okay?,â he glances over at her as he continues to munch on his toast.
âIâm okay, iâm okay... Hey, whereâs Grayson?,â Bianca speaks as she looks around. Her gaze shifts quickly to the family dining room, looking for the other twin.
âHeâs out. Heâs picking Isla up from the airport,â Ethan casually replies. He grabs his phone from the counter, scrolling down through Instagram.
âOh...,â she responds in disappointment. Why didnât he tell her that he has to pick her up? He promised that heâll take her to the hospital.
âWhatâs wrong?,â Ethan senses sadness in her eyes.
âNo, nothing...,â she shakes her head.
âYou sure?,â he squints his eyes, observing her facial expression. Bianca nods her head.
And thatâs when her phone beeps.
A message from Grayson.
âBi, Iâm so sorry that I had to leave you. I had to pick Isla up from the airport and she wanted to have some pancakes from Maywood. Iâll be home before 1, and we can go to the hospital, okay?â
You sigh deeply. Sometimes it drives you crazy; the fact that he makes you upset, but you can do nothing about it. Youâre just his bestfriend, and it feels like you have no right to be mad at him for choosing his own girlfriend.
âBianca, you okay?,â Ethan feels the need to make sure that sheâs okay. And she only gives him a slight nod.
âIâm okay, Ethan... I just need to take shower, and wait for Grayson to come back. He promised me that heâll drive me to the hospital to see my Grandma,â Bianca gives him a thin smile as she hops off the counter.
âOkay,â Ethan replies as he watches her walking out of the kitchen. He knows somethingâs wrong, but he decides to remain silent.
âââââââââââââââââââââââ
âBaby, I missed you,â Isla mumbles gently as she continues to attack Graysonâs face with kisses. After breakfast at Maywood, Grayson drove her home, he knows that he promised Bianca that heâll take her to the hospital.
But here he is. In Islaâs bed. With her sitting on his lap, her legs wrapped around his waist.
âI missed you too, babe,â Grayson replies. He rests his hands on her waist to support her. Isla gives him another smile before she leans a bit closer to plant a gentle, yet quite passionate kiss, onto Graysonâs lips.
His phone, which he put on her nightstand lights up as soon as it receives a new notification.
A text message from Bianca.
Grayson sneakily takes a quick glance at his phone screen as soon as he breaks the kiss, reading her reply to his previous text.
âAlright, Gray. Iâm ready to go :) Iâll be waiting for youâ
Heâs not supposed to be here. He knows it.
âIsla...,â he calls her softly, moving his hand up to her cheek as he continues, âBaby, I gotta go. I need to do groceries, Mom asked me to do so,â he lies.
Isla pokes out her bottom lip as she rests her hand on Graysonâs cheek. âIt can wait,â she begs him.
âIsla, please,â he sighs.
Isla remains silent, but she quickly gets off of his lap. Grayson takes his phone from the nightstand as he gets up, but Isla isnât giving up... yet.
âGrayson?,â she looks up at him. He turns around to face her.
Isla tugs onto the edge of his t-shirt, pulling him closer back to her as she mumbles, âGray, I need you.â
Not that word, Isla.
âBaby, please?,â she gets up from her bed, and snakes her arms around his neck. She eagerly wraps her legs around his waist to cling onto him.
âI need you right now, Grayson,â she whimpers as she begins to grind her hips against his.
Grayson sinks his teeth into his lower lip, mumbling under his breath, âFuck it.â
With that, he crashes his lips against hers, kissing her roughly, with a strong passion as he throws her onto her bed.
âââââââââââââââââââââââ
5 missedcalls from Bianca Reine.
10 text messages from Bianca Reine.
âGray, iâm ready! :)â
âCan we get more Sonicâs burgers before we go to the hospital? Iâm p hungry :(â
âGraysoooon, can we? can we?â
âWhere are you :(â
âGrayson, are you okay?â
âAre you going to drive me to the hospital?â
âGray, answer meâ
âGraysonâ
âGrayson, pick up the call, please :(â
âIf youâre busy, itâs fine, Iâll go there on my ownâ
Grayson punches his steering wheel once he notices that Bianca tried to contact him. He quickly starts his car and drives back home. He promised her that heâll be at home before 1. But here he is, still on his way back home, and itâs nearly 5 pm.
He shouldâve just said no to Isla. He promised her. And he doesnât want to make her sad again and again.
As soon as he arrives at home, he parks his car and hops out of the driver seat. As he makes his way towards the porch, he can hear someone crying, like real cry, with sobs.
If he steps in and find Bianca crying because of him, heâll hate himself real bad.
So he walks in, finding Bianca, Ethan, and his Mom in the living room. The three of them are sitting on the couch. Ethanâs arm is wrapped around Bianca, as she sobs into his shoulder. Lisa, whoâs sitting next to Bianca, runs her hand up and down Biancaâs back to give her soothing rubs.
âMom? Whatâs wrong?,â Grayson frowns. He knows there must be something worse other than him breaking his promise to her that she cries that hard. He knows Bianca isnât a crybaby.
âThey took her Grandma to the ICU, and sheâs having panic attack,â Lisa whispers to Grayson as she continues to rub her back.
âEthan, IâI want to sâsee her,â Bianca mumbles into his shoulder. âGâGray promised me that hâheâd take me to the hospital to see hâher,â she sobs. She has no idea that the man sheâs talking about is there.
âShh, youâll see her soon, Bi,â Ethan responds. He shoots his twin brother with an angry glare, knowing that he promised her, yet he broke the promise.
âGrayson lied to me...,â Bianca sighs deeply. âNow they took her to the ICU! If only he came home as he promised and drove me there,â she continues to cry.
âHâhe lied to me,â Bianca says weakly.
Grayson just stands there in complete silence. It breaks his heart to hear her saying such things. He promised to himself that heâd never hurt her ever again, but here he is.
âGrayson, where were you?,â Lisa turns her gaze to meet Graysonâs. âYou promised her, but where were you?,â she interrogates him.
Noticing that Lisa mentions his name, Bianca slowly lifts her head up from Ethanâs shoulder to find Grayson standing awkwardly there in silence.
âIâ I was at Islaâs...,â he replies. Bianca can sense hurt in his tone as he speaks.
She quickly gets up, shaking her head quickly as she points at him. With tears rolling down her cheeks, she yells at him. âYou lied to me! You told me everythingâs gonna be okay!,â she sobs. âYou promised me, Grayson!,â she screams.
And there comes one thing that Grayson never expected before, coming out of Biancaâs lips as she storms out of the room.
âI fucking hate you, Grayson Dolan.â
