idk how about you, but I see Furina as an aging woman who’s trying to look younger than she actually is. And well, she’s quite good at it, but there’s still something lingering between her lines, something tired and old as time itself, as few human lifespans she lived through. Her existential problem is not one of a yesterday school girl who graduated and doesn’t know what to do, no. It’s one of an old woman who spent her whole life doing a single job perfectly, and now this job is suddenly not needed anymore. And though this is stated in her Character Story 5 and some other materials, I think we don’t talk enough about how utterly traumatising this is. Like, she openly states that people have no further use of her 😭 it still breaks my heart even after almost a year after her release.

I wonder if Shadowheart might’ve been the only one to have her memories wiped for the artefact retrieval mission out of the sharran group (or at least to that extent). I wouldn’t be surprised considering that even after the memory wipe and the hand wound (shock collar) she wavers and starts revealing secrets to the first person who’s remotely decent to her.

I remember that one of my theories was that we would have an episode where Yeong and Jang Uk are sleeping together but then one of the wraiths would attack Yeong and hurt her and Jang Uk would feel guilty... and then we literally had an episode where they're definitely sleeping together but the one who's keeping the wraiths away is Yeong??
