The sensation was as if you were in the middle of the ocean at night, the furious and icy sea pounding against your body, sending adrenaline shocks through it as your mind desperately pleaded for you to swim and stay above the waves.
It felt like you were sinking upon hearing her voice. As if water flooded your ears with the gentle melody that were Feyre's words, and at the same time, it was like the huge waves of despair were pulling your body down.
"Elain," she spoke with a husky voice. It was so different from the usual roughness, as if honey had been poured onto her vocal cords.
Your ears perked up at the sound of footsteps on the stairs, firm and delicate steps. Nesta halted halfway down, looking towards the door. "Mrs. Laurent, prepare some tea and take it to the office," Nesta paused and glanced at you; her trembling figure with wide eyes made her heart skip a beat, and then her eyes returned to the housekeeper, "and take my sister to Merina."
You turned your head to where Nesta's voice came from and vaguely searched for her, silently thanking her for the act. You weren't ready to face Feyre now; your sister was the specter of a ghost that now haunted your mind.
Mrs. Laurent's wrinkled hands gently grabbed your shoulders, lifting you from the sofa and guiding you towards the hallway. "Come, dear, Merina is preparing your favorite."
"Wait!"
Your head lifted at Feyre's request, and your hands clutched the dress you were wearing, crumpling the fabric. Shaking your head, you continued walking with Mrs. Laurent. She didn't wait for you. You wouldn't wait for her.
While your heart held no resentment, it harbored resentment, heavy with hurt towards Feyre. You didn't mind that she went to look for the beast to live by his side, of course not; you minded the indifference she showed towards you. Feyre wasn't obliged to anything, and if you weren't worth a goodbye from her, she wasn't worth a bit of your time either.
The creaking of the door being opened drew your attention away from your thoughts, and undoubtedly, the sweet smell of melted sugar with a touch of cinnamon caught your attention even more. Molasses pie.
With your hand stretched, you leaned on the counter, and Mrs. Laurent let go of you to pull a stool for you; after sitting down, you mumbled a thank you, dismissing Mrs. Laurent for the task Nesta asked.
With a fist on your cheek, you let your eyes close; they weighed more than the pounds of clay you carried. The tinkling of a plate being placed in front of you made your eyebrow arch, and Merina's huff was heard right after.
"You're usually excited about this pie," Merina said, and as the pie was one of her specialties, she may or may not have been upset with your lack of interest, "now, care to tell me why you look like you've sucked a lemon?"
Chuffing a humorless laugh, you rolled your eyes and groped the counter to find the fork next to the plate. With unnecessary force, you stabbed the poor pie and brought a piece to your mouth. Merina, who watched that small act against dessert, tilted her head even more curious.
"Feyre is here." Your voice came out muffled by the sweet you were chewing; who cared about good manners in a situation like this? Judging by Merina's choking sound, she cared.
"Ah..." Merina sounded distant, analyzing your face for something more. With drooping shoulders, you sighed to her, "thought you'd be happy to see her again?"
Sucking the sweetness from the fork, you raised your lips in a playful smile, "hardly ever happy to see anyone, Merina."
The cook reached out to pat your head, "Enough of blind puns; they don't work with me anymore, and stop dodging the question."
Sticking out your tongue at her, you gave up and decided to really say what was going on inside your little head.
"I guess I'm afraid she'll leave again," you said, shrugging, the fork's tip was now deforming the poor pie, "once is fine, twice is hard, but three times? I don't think I can forgive on the third."
Merina hummed in agreement and discreetly took the pie and fork from you, grabbing a piece for herself.
"I'm not saying leaving without saying goodbye was right, or that she won't leave again, but maybe—" Mrs. Laurent passed by, giving her a penetrating look that made her drop the pie, "maybe you should listen, don't need to speak, just listen, and if the explanation doesn't please you, turn your back and leave."
Your eyes trembled, and a slight headache began to spread from your neck towards your temples. To listen, you could hear her, and maybe later, grab her by the hair to explain your point of view.
Your mouth opened to verbalize your response to Merina.
"Let's go to the office."
It wasn't you who spoke. Nesta stood in the doorframe, looking at you, then at the cook, and back at you. Merina jumped from where she was sitting and quickly took your arm to lead you to your sister. Nesta is terrifyingly terrifying.
Your hand fit into Nesta's arm, and she began walking towards the office. Her other hand rested on top of yours and gave a warm squeeze; a simple touch from her meant so much. This was her wordless way of saying she was there for you.
You felt her stopping, and you stopped with her. Nesta glanced at the door separating Feyre from you, and she was sure Feyre could sense both of you through the crack in the door. Looking at you, she blinked and parted her dry lips.
"She's different. Not the same person who left here that night." She said with a stern voice.
You nodded, not really understanding what she meant by that. Different? You were almost certain everyone becomes different after spending so much time in that place.
Nesta pushed the door and entered the office with you in tow. Feyre, who was facing away from the door, turned her head to you so quickly that, for a moment, she had flashbacks from under the mountain.
With teary eyes, she took a step towards you, but a warning look from Nesta froze her in place. She waited for you to come to her, but you didn't, even after leaving your sister's embrace, you didn't move a muscle anymore; perhaps Feyre was foolish to think you would.
Ignoring Nesta's watchful eyes, she approached you slowly, but she stepped heavily so that you could hear. Just like the other time, you felt her breath on your face, a breath so cold that it gave you shivers.
"Sister..." Feyre raised her fingers to your face but hesitated, her hands were no longer human, and you would undoubtedly feel how her fingers were thinner and longer than before.
Impatiently, you lifted your head to her and furrowed your brow, expecting something better than just a "sister." Taking a deep breath, Feyre looked into your lifeless eyes and began to speak.
"I was dead," even though Elain had already heard the story, she couldn't help but hold her breath, "I was dead, and then I was reborn, remade."
Feyre told everything, not omitting any details of what happened with Amarantha, with Tamlin, with Rhysand, the bat-winged men, and you listened; listened to every word attentively, feeling nauseous hearing that the damn beast ignored Feyre's suffering, turning pale when she recounted her death and rebirth experience, and dangerously trembling when she said she was no longer human. She was one of them now.
You didn't know what to say; your mouth was dry, and your hands trembled. What Feyre said wasn't an apology, but it was so much that you could barely assimilate it. She was a fairy—fae? What did that imply? She eat babies?
A hand grabbed yours, making you pull away frightened by the sudden contact. Feyre looked at you hurt by the reaction but continued firm, raising her hand to touch her cheek, and then she let you go. What you would do from now on was your choice; she knew there was much more to say, but time was pressing.
Hesitant, you ran your fingertips along her face, feeling the jaw sharper, your fingers traced the nose, the mouth, the forehead, and the eyes, and with each new change you felt, a sob broke from your chest, and tears overflowed from your eyes. Your hand opened on her face, and Feyre nestled her face in your caress, taking a deep breath, you brought your hand towards the place you were avoiding. The ears.
It was undeniably longer than a human ear, and at the end, there was a point. As you ran your finger along the edge, you felt the patterns of a fae ear; Feyre's ear twitched, and you quickly withdrew your hand.
With a choked voice, you finally found the strength to speak: "do you have bat friends now?"
Laughing, she squinted her eyes to push back the tears and grabbed your face in her hands.
"Would you like to meet them?"
Tumblr media
Feyre went to fetch the fae after Elain managed to dismiss all the household staff, something that wasn't difficult with her charm.
While you waited in the living room, Nesta gave some blunt instructions on how to behave in front of those creatures.
"Don't smile; it shows weakness."
"No unnecessary kindness; they need us."
"Don't you dare take off the iron ring."
Three simple rules that, even if unintentionally, revealed the fear she felt of the unknown. Not that you were any braver; Feyre said they had bat wings for goodness sake, that scared anyone.
You sensed their presence before your sisters did; your heightened senses allowed you to hear three different types of footsteps. A delicate and precise one , Feyre; a lazy and imposing one, and another rough and arrogant. Funny, Feyre mentioned there were three of them.
Your steps halted, enveloping the room in an uneasy silence. Beside you, you could hear Elain gasping; could they be so grotesque as to cause such a reaction?
"My sisters, Nesta, Elain, and..." Feyre paused for a moment and with a more affectionate tone, she said your name, "S/n Archeron."
There were no greetings from them or you; Nesta's fingers tightly wrapped around your wrist discouraged politeness to the unexpected guests.
"Cassian," Feyre continued, introducing the bat- fairies, "Azriel," her shoes made a sound as she turned, "and Rhysand, High Lord of the Night Court."
Again, a suffocating silence. Pulling your arm from Nesta, you raised your hand to twist a strand of your hair. What a stressful situation.
When an elegant voice cut through the silence, you jumped; it was as if he filled the entire room with his powerful timbre.
"Thank you for the hospitality... and the generosity." It was warm but seemed so fake.
Without hesitation, Nesta turned her back, announcing that dinner was on the table, and they should hurry. Elain mumbled a greeting and rushed after Nesta.
You stood awkwardly in the middle of the dining room until Feyre walked towards you with a smile on her face, "Want to get to know them better?"
"We promise not to bite," a deep voice said playfully. Feyre turned to the male and silenced him with a noise. She then turned back to you, taking your hand to encourage you to walk with her.
Nesta would be furious.
With hesitant steps, you went to them; the air around the bat-fairies was so warm and dominating, almost oppressive. Undoubtedly, they could see your hands trembling, and small beads of sweat ran down your collar and disappeared into the square neckline of your dress. Unbeknownst to you, a pair of sharp eyes followed the bold path of these drops.
"Rhysand," Feyre called, and he came to stand in front of you, extending his hand. Your sister brought the hand she held for him to take. Your hand tightened in his delicate grip. Without a doubt, this fae's hands were soft.
"You are more enchanting in person." He spoke playfully. Nodding in acknowledgment, you gave a faint smile. When pulling your hand away, you discreetly ran your fingers along the length of his palm, trying to memorize some feature. A callus on the middle finger.
Another bat took his place and shook your hand firmly. Oh, this hand was full of calluses and thick, "Cassian, General Cassian," your face paled; General? You were already starting to hyperventilate.
"Stop scaring her, bastard," a husky and seductive voice spoke, the silent fairy. Cassian laughed and stepped away from you, barely having time to breathe, the other bat took his place in front of you.
If you thought the presence of the other two was oppressive, this male's was overwhelming. Much closer than his brothers, Azriel towered over you and let his eyes roam over your body, absorbing every detail you had to offer.
He started with your eyes, a blue so light it could be mistaken for white, your lashes covering his gaze, your lips red from the cruel bites you gave. A chill ran down his spine, and Azriel didn't allow himself to wander more.
Why not? A sly shadow whispered to him.
Rhys cleared his throat, mocking Azriel. Frowning at his brother, Azriel snapped out of his stupor and took your hand in his, noticeably smaller.
Your nose twisted with the texture of his hand; did the bat have leather hands? No... as you ran your finger over his wrist, you felt the edge of what seemed – and you prayed it was – a glove. There was no way to memorize anything about this man.
"Azriel." He introduced himself, simple and with no need to add anything else. Azriel, the name weighed on your tongue. When pulling your hand away, you felt a final squeeze from him, causing your lips to stretch into a half-smile. Don't smile, the first rule of the night was broken.
A bell was rung with stress. Nesta was impatient.
Laughing softly, Feyre took your hand and led you towards the table, away from the three bats. What a peculiar situation this introduction was.
"What do you think?" She asked eagerly, seating you next to Elain, who nervously watched the males taking their seats at the table.
"Exciting, I suppose." You spoke in a tone so that only she could hear, hopefully. Feyre closed her eyes and laughed; the relief she felt at knowing that at least one of her sisters was willing to acknowledge those who were part of her new life was evident.
"Let's start this dinner quickly." Nesta cut you and Feyre off with a stern voice.
Tumblr media
The dinner was unsettling; the silence was so profound that the buzzing of crickets became audible, and the lack of conversation made you think they might have left you alone and dined somewhere else. It would have been a good theory if the unpleasant noise of the anxious bat's chewing hadn't cut through the silence left by your sisters.
"Is there something wrong with our food?" Nesta asked plainly. But to whom the question was directed remained a mystery.
"No." Feyre. You rolled your eyes while swallowing another bite of roast. Of course, she would pick on Feyre. You slouched further under the table as if it were a barrier for the impending clash.
"So, can you not eat normal food anymore, or is it too good for you?"
With a start, you straightened your back, and like an eagle, your head turned to Nesta, grunting in disapproval. The clinking of cutlery was heard in the background.
"I can eat, drink, fuck, and fight just as well as before. Even better," Feyre proudly replied.
What a dinner spectacle. With a choke, you returned to your plate while controlling your laughter. The fascination and astonishment for your sister's words struggled against each other to see which would prevail.
"Don't torture me like this, I still have a blessed imagination," you addressed Feyre, who hid a smile in her water glass.
"I wonder why…" she teased, and a blush spread across your face like flames. It was a disastrous story, and just the mere memory made you want to open the window on the second floor to check if you really didn't fly and knowing you didn't have wings would be satisfactory.
But let's say that some people have no qualms about their intimacy in a private place; undoubtedly, any random alley in a market is not a private place. Someone should warn that couple.
"Hush," a embarrassed murmur escaped your lips. Gripping the fork, you brought a piece of meat to your mouth, desperately wanting to occupy yourself with something else; the other hand held a cloth under the table in case any food decided to change its destination and go away from your mouth.
Focused on the task, you dismissed Nesta grunting at someone. Just another normal day. Nevertheless, your shoulders tensed with Cassian's enraged speech about the living conditions Feyre endured. It was undeniable that he was right; you might not physically help, but it was your duty to fight for your sister, even being younger. Perhaps you could have persuaded your father to get up from that damn chair.
Elain argued some words of resentment, but you didn't listen. Frustration filled your body like an overflowing bucket, closing your hands into a fist on the table, you dropped the fork and let yourself be carried away by the guilt of not being enough to protect Feyre.
A chair scraped closer to the table. Your feet began to tingle, and a cold breeze passed through your legs in a gentle and tender caress. Relaxing your hands, you looked down in foolish hope of seeing something. All the windows were closed.
It tickled, chuckling to yourself, you kicked your feet, and the breeze followed you like a servant, tendrils wrapping around your calf and descending to your ankle with delicacy. A husky laugh was heard, and you quickly looked forward, not sure which of Feyre's friends was sitting in front of you.
"Can you really fly?" Elain beside you asked. The comforting breeze dissipated as if it had never been there. A fleeting pout crossed your lips but soon disappeared because your curiosity with Elain's question got the better of you.
"Yes. Cassian and I are from a fae race called Illyrians. We were born hearing the song of the wind," Azriel, the silent one, responded warmly.
Biting your lower lip, you intruded into the conversation:
"When Feyre said she was going to fetch the bat boys, I imagined claws and sharp teeth, not wings."
Azriel playfully smiled at you, startling Cassian; he didn't know his brother had enough teeth to smile. Cassian turned to you and looked at the side of your face since you were looking at Azriel's chest, who was he to judge.
"Don't rule out that possibility, Y/n, we might look horrifying to the eyes," Cassian joked, making you open a wider smile and turn vaguely toward him. Well, you hoped he was joking.
"Speak for yourself, brother, I'm hardly seen as hideous," Rhys sneered at his brother's words and turned to Feyre, "right, darling?"
Your sister choked, and a muffled slap sound covered by a layer of fabric was heard.
You rolled your eyes and returned to your original position. Azriel cleared his throat to regain your attention, something that wasn't difficult since you were alert to any noise this man made.
"Maybe one day—"
Nesta dragged the chair rudely, cutting Azriel's sentence, and spoke with a sharp voice:
"If we're done eating, this meal is over."
Tumblr media
Before leaving, Elain explained to her guests and her sister where the rooms they would be using were located.
With a pounding heart and a head full of thoughts, you couldn't sleep, and for restless nights, the calm of your studio was what soothed you.
That's why you were sitting in front of your spinning table with the sleeves of your nightgown rolled up to avoid getting clay on them. Your fingers skillfully opened the stretched mass to soon pull out a cone shape. Humming, you grabbed the wet sponge and gently ran it over the sculpture's edges.
"Can't sleep?"
You jumped at the sudden question and accidentally lost control of the clay, causing it to lose its shape; some splatters of clay flew onto your face and clothes. What a mess.
"I'm sorry, it wasn't my intention to startle you," Azriel said apologetically and walked quickly from the doorway to you. He picked up a clean cloth lying on a countertop and pressed it into your hands.
"It's nothing," you laughed embarrassed and stood up, taking the cloth from his hands and feeling the hindrance of the glove. Moving slightly to the other side of the room, you could breathe better.
Azriel followed you with his eyes, watching you lightly clean your face and discard the cloth on some surface. He lowered his gaze and saw your sculpture undone; if it was something before, it isn't anymore. Azriel frowned, frustrated with himself, it wasn't his intention to disturb you.
"I'm sorry about the piece," his voice resonated in the room, curious; he couldn't help but ask, "what was it?"
Sighing defeated, you let your shoulders slump, and you spoke timidly:
"Wings. Your wings." Just like that, it was like ripping a band-aid off a wound. A grotesque wound and a cloth band-aid.
Wings. Azriel thought somberly; you were sculpting his wings. Swallowing hard, Azriel took a small step toward you but stopped when he heard your soft and delightful voice:
"But I'm sure it doesn't do justice to the real thing; my hands are my eyes, and as I've never touched a wing before..." you stopped before finishing; your eyelashes trembled in the flickering light of the candles.
Azriel held his breath, suffocated by the warm air that lingered in the room. With heavy eyes, he imagined being your guinea pig, your delicate fingers brushing against each tip of his wings. Azriel partially opened his wings as if he could feel your touches passing through them.
The sculpture you were running your fingertips over captured his attention; a small bird resting on a branch. Simple but extraordinary. Not knowing how to behave in a situation like this, you did the first thing that came to your mind.
"You have skillful hands," your hoarse voice was just a whisper in the night's vastness. Azriel looked intensely at your nape; his amber eyes followed your body with devotion as you proudly showed – accidentally – your sculpture.
Your chest warmed with the compliment; at the same time, you felt your hands getting sticky. Your ears caught the heavy sound of his steps, so different from the silent walk before. The heat of his body behind yours sent a shiver up your spine; turning your face to the side, you felt his warm breath reach your cheek.
"Maybe–" he stopped and reorganized his thoughts, clearing his throat; he spoke in a lower voice, "maybe I can help you with the sculpture."
You perked up at the prospect of feeling him without any barrier, turning slightly to him, feeling the weight of his gaze on your face. You opened your lips to speak.
"Am I interrupting something?" Azriel closed his eyes tightly upon hearing Cassian's mocking voice, damn opportunistic bastard.

WHAT SEX WITH TAEHYUNG WOULD BE LIKE (V pt.3)
~ everyone’s favorite part, based on the character as described in part 1 and part 2. Masterlist here.
*NSFW CONTENT*
Tumblr media
(this picture is so fuckin spicy I love it so much)
• Perceptions on how Tae is in bed are quite mixed, but here is my take:
• I see him as borderline demisexual, and he takes a while before he’s ready to have sex. There’s a lot of buildup and he would think about it often, but he would want to make sure the time is right and that she is the right person.
• But when it happens… it’s kinky, sexy, and smoking hot.
• Candle wax, rose petals, champagne, dark ambiance, music. Their vibe would be moody and sensual, but loving and romantic at the same time.
• Tae is so sweet it’s almost painful, but he would not be timid in bed. I see them engaging in threesomes, public sex, role playing, or light BDSM.
• He’s quite dominant. Not in a masochistic way, but he likes to be in control. Because of this, he would most enjoy positions from behind such as doggy style, spooning while holding her leg up, or on top of her with her legs on his shoulders.
• OR he could be into extreme switching of power dynamics. I’m torn on this one, but I think either way he likes it a little rough.
• They wouldn’t hesitate to have sex in the car or to find a private room in a public space if they were horny in the moment. She would love to get him off under a table or in an isolated outdoor space.
• He wouldn’t turn down anything she wanted to try; in fact, he would be eager to oblige.
• He is extremely touchy and affectionate; his hands would always be on her face/neck, back, waist, ass etc. They would be all over each other, and there would always be a level of romanticism despite whatever act they are indulging in that day.
• He would kiss her neck, collarbones, and breasts aggressively.
• Loves eye contact and to watch her face as she orgasms. He would think she’s so pretty when she comes undone for him, all sweaty and makeup smudged.
• Like Namjoon, this man is excellent at dirty talk, although is a lot more explicit and occasionally a little degrading.
• “You like it when I do that?” “Cum again for me.” “Take off your clothes and open your legs.” “Touch yourself.”
• I actually don’t think they would use a lot of toys, as Tae would want to please her himself. He would be very good at multitasking and using his mouth, hands, etc. at the same time. He would love to make her squirt.
• Likes to be in control during blowjobs. Gripping her hair, thrusting his hips, telling her to look at him while he’s in her mouth. Would cum on her face or in her mouth without warning (although might feel bad afterwards).
• Oof, I can see him loving spanking. Like, hard, repeated spanking that leaves her with a red mark. Maybe with his hands, maybe with a belt or paddle.
• He would love if she wore skimpy lingerie, to which he might rip with excitement.
• They would be quite loud, vocal, and expressive together, with lots of demands and heavy moaning.
• Dirty shit aside, there are also times when he would want sex to be gentle, slow, and intimate so that he can show her how much he loves her. He may be freaky, but at the end of the day he is still a romantic at his core and would value his partner a ton.

MHA Characters and their Favorite (Western) Romance Movies!
Doing this for funsies! :) let me know if anyone wants a part 2 I'll more than welcome keep going HAHAHAHA
Tumblr media
Kendo is DEFINITELY an enemies to lovers girlie, I just know Kat is her IT girl and she aspires to be her I don't make this up people! Her and the class-b girlies always have romance movie binges together and gush over them like crazyyyy (they are all single romantics) (and don't think the boys in their class are just down bad asf for all of them) (anyways!)
Tumblr media
This is an American staple you guys I know this man appreciates the hell out of this movie (more for the history / ship itself and less so for the romance) (this may or may not be my favorite movie of all time but I'm totally not projecting here). Anyways, he definitely sits Izuku down to watch this with him one night after Izuku insisted that Toshinori choose the movie for once! (because dadmight and his son totally have ritual movie nights kk)
Tumblr media
chat I'm pissing my pants right now DID I LIEEEEEEEEEEEEE (unironically he would enjoy the fuck out of this movie he would act like he fucking hates it as if he doesn't shut up and lock in as soon as the plot gets going oh my god katsuki i know what you are)
Tumblr media
this is HER movie ok!!! I just know she went through the motions while watching this rollercoaster of a story unfold and she's obssessed with the vocals and the dark depiction of fame it's one of her favorites guaranteed <3

Alastor doesn’t know spanish to save the life of him

He doesn’t realize you SING spanish music at first
The two of you meet through Charlie, you’d wanted to get rehabilitated and she introduced you to Alastor
when you spoke to him he noticed you sounded, off almost? like you were struggling a bit to speak
he didn’t question it, brushing it off with a shrug until Charlie asked you how you died
you explain to her you had gotten killed by a fan, who was crazy in the worst way possible
cue alastor like 🤨🤨 huh???
he acts like he doesn’t overheat on the conversation and decides to keep it to himself
until crowds of people are at the hotel asking for you and now suddenly your nowhere to be seen so now he’s really suspicious like ??
he sends his shadows after you, and they tell him your hiding in a storage closet practically freaking out
charlie manages to get the crowd to leave and when you do come back your uncharacteristically quiet
it’s then Alastor hears from Angel that your basically one of the biggest singers to die so far and suddenly the crowds showing up makes sense
Charlie can’t help it and says with all the attention the hotel got she wants you to hold a show to bring more people here and though the timing is horrible you agree
alastor is more interested in how this show is gonna go
UNTIL he sees how much you change on stage
you look so much happier, more at peace and while your fairly chipper this is different from the regular, it’s nice
he’s admittedly blown away by your voice, because the vocals? he’s shocked, he definitely didn’t expect that
he also wonders how your singing in english is better than your speaking
he does like your music though and when the show is over and you finally settle down again he’s at your side asking all sorts of questions
like where did you learn to sing like that ?
what’s your favorite song to sing?
how do you sing better in english but struggle speaking it in conversation?
can you teach him? You answer them all casually and tell him it’s just something you’ve always done
He begins to encourage that you sing again, to keep your career going, your fairly young, you still have talent, you should
and reluctantly you agree
out of the two of you, you’re actually the one to confess first through song ;)
“I only have a few songs left for tonight.” You say into the microphone. The fans cheer and the lights focus on you once more. You smile before the music starts up again. “This song means more to me than when I wrote it. Now it means something more because I have someone to care about.” You say again, and you stop letting the music play for a bit. At the sound of the music playing for the song the fans cheer, excited once more. “I could lose my heart tonight If you don't turn and walk away. Cause the way I feel I might, lose control and let you stay.”
In the stands, Charlie and Vaggie smile to each other enjoying the song while Angel just silently listens. Husk is drunk out of his mind with a bottle of booze while Nifty is listening contently. Alastor is watching, now having questions. Who are you talking about? The crew is straight in front of the stage, just a bit higher up above ground in the stadium. “And I know it's not right, and I guess I should try, to do what I should do. But I could fall in love, fall in love with you. I could fall in love with you” You’re now at the front of the stage, and Alastor can’t tell if your staring at him or the people around him.
“Siempre estoy soñando en ti. Besando mis labios, acariciando mi piel. Abrazándome con ansias locas. Imaginando que me amas. Como yo podía amar a ti.” Suddenly he’s grateful for all those spanish lessons you gave him while writing your songs, because now he knows what you’re saying. I'm always dreaming of you. Kissing my lips, caressing my skin. hugging me with crazy longing. imagining that you love me, how could I love you.
The song ends not to long after that, and there are only a few more songs before the show ends. Charlie and the rest of the group meet you backstage to congratulate you. “You did amazing Y/n! Thank you so much.” Charlie says as she runs over to you hugging you. You smile and hug her back, Vaggie handing you a bouquet of flowers. The ride back to the hotel is relatively quiet, small talk here and there, but everyone is so tired they’re all ready to knock out.
Except for Alastor who is scrambling nonsense around in his mind.
Why did he feel like you were talking to him?
Were you?
when you get back to the hotel you excuse yourself to your room, getting un-ready
and before you’re about to go to bed you hear a knock at your door
you open it to see alastor
“Hello my dear! I wanted to discuss something with you.” You stare a bit nervous before nodding.
“Would you like to accompany me on an evening stroll?” He asks, and you feel a bit excited.
“Of course, let me get a sweater first.”
When you come back you shut your room door and the two of you begin walking down the hall.
It isn’t until you leave the hotel you speak again. “so what did you want to discuss?” You ask and he just smiles wider.
“I wanted to praise you’re preformance tonight. It was truly astounding! Why it put poor old Annette to shame!” He complimented, beaming a smile. You pat yourself on the back mentally before thanking him.
“Alastor, I think we both know what needs to be said.” you speak up, sensing his nervousness. He stiffens before stopping entirely.
“I believe you’re aware of where my feelings reside for you.” You say, trying to carefully speak to make sure you make more sense. He just nods, and you sigh.
“I understand if you don’t… feel the same. I am content with moving on and forgetting this-“
“Why that’s no way to live dear.” Alastor says, a smile on his face. His staff disappears and he takes your hands in his, twirling you before bringing you close. “Podría enamorarme de ti.”

Note
how do the leaders handle an overstimulated y/n like if the reader is autistic
Thanks for the ask:), also Friendly reminder that a few of my OCs are jerks.
(The Fungus universe)
Tw: Yandere, neglect,
The Liar:
Oh, please. He will ignore your clear signs of distress since he prefers to not deal with them, and if you vocalize your issues he will make you someone else's problem. Maybe on a good day, he may give your needs a bit more attention, but that is once on a full moon.
Poison:
Makes sense, the lab is full of smells and irritable sounds that sometimes drive her own workers mad, so she won't question your needs. Instead, she will quickly find a solution which is usually handing you your favorite drink(straight from the faucet that is her throat), and taking a walk outside the lab with you by her side. In hopes of calming down your nerves.
The Cannibal:
He can’t tell or care much about your discomfort. You gotta set the record straight and he might take some responsibility. You sometimes don't recognize the things he does as ‘helpful’ but he thinks he is helping. Sending his guards out of your sight when you feel overwhelmed or letting you draw on his flesh. You may try and push him in the right direction with your necessities, but there is a high chance he might misunderstand your orders.
Doppelganger:
He could see, the way your gaze turns away from his acts. The way you hug yourself in ache when he practices. God, the showbiz is all about sparks and music, and you can't handle that? At first, he won't give it much mind in hopes you will toughen up, but your ignorance can only be tolerated for so long…
In an act of great need, he may change his acts… With great anger and stubbornness, but it will be done. Just for your sweet eyes to look upon him once more. He will dull down his performances to your liking. If that pleases you…
Yet again, he may backtrack all the progress in seconds if he feels like it, so it depends on his mood.
Illusionist:
Did they do something wrong? ;-;
They will almost instantly notice, millions of eyes on you can't miss a thing. Yet… should they leave?
They think their the problem to your pain, and no matter how much you tell them otherwise they will always leave you alone during those periods of overstimulation.
Or, stay in one piece, extra butterflies hidden away from your view since they think their large numbers may be overwhelming you too.
Eye In the Sky:
He sees it, in the corner of his vision, the way you fiddle with your hands or appear in obvious agitation with the other leaders.
Unlike the other leaders, he had done research on actual knowledgeable solutions for this sort of thing. Even getting you some noise-cancelling headphones if sound is the thing ticking you off. However, don't expect him to waste a single second more of his time actually helping you in person. Someone else will have to take that role since he’s busy.
The Priest:
Oh, dear… Poor thing. Your distance from the resident's card game was noticeable. The Priest himself watches over the cafeteria before quickly and discreetly pulling you aside.
He is more than willing to help you with anything and this is no exception. He may help by letting you stay in your room or his office, or quiet down the cacophony some residents may be causing. Anything… anything. He is more than willing to help.
(This is not very well proof read)

My Movie Review: "Wicked"
Tumblr media
Overall:
What can I say? "Wicked" was AMAAAAZING!!! 😁👏🏾
Seriously, for me, this was one of the best films of 2024, hands down! It was fun, it was entertaining, it was funny, the music and dancing was on point, the acting was great, there weren't any weak links in the cast at all. It really was a well-done film. 😁 I had a smile on my face the entire time!! ☺️
*Disclaimer... I'm a HUGE fan of musicals just in general, and I've been a fan of the music from "Wicked" for at least 10 years lol, so if you aren't a fan of the musical, OR, you just don't like singing and dancing in movies to move along the plot, then you might not like this film that much. 😄 There is a LOT of singing lol.
First off, the cast:
Ariana Grande... oh my gosh.... I know she's been getting a lot of flack in the media for her "method acting" and "Glinda Voice" 🙄, but honestly, she came to do what she had to do! She played Glinda/Galinda perfectly. 👌🏾 She was funny, eye-roll worthy (in a GOOD way! Lol. 😅), so extra lol, and her voice... lawwwd her VOICE!!! Amazing!! 👏🏾 I knew with just the opening number that this movie was going to gag me lol. I knew she was going to eat with this role just with that opening number alone.
Cynthia Erivo.... Cynthia Cynthia Cynthia!!!! 👏🏾 My goodness, Cynthia knocked this role out of the park!! You hear me? First of all, I didn't even know she had pipes like that until I saw this movie! 😄😅 I knew she did theater plays, but didn't know she could sing! Wow! She was simply amazing in this role. I was blown away. You feel for her as Elphaba. She's incredibly likable, and you can understand where she's coming from. 🥹 There were a couple of very moving parts that had me getting a little teary-eyed throughout the film.
All I'll say is that "Wicked" is what you get when you choose actors for roles who can actually SING, and not just popular actors who may have a large following, but don't actually have any real vocal talent or singing/musical background... 👀
Jonathan Bailey.... My man Jonathan Bailey was a really nice addition to this cast. 😊 He was funny, charming, and witty. I also had no idea he knew how to move like that! 😅🤣 I was throughly impressed! 👏🏾 He was also very nice eye-candy throughout. Lawwwd that man is so beautiful it's a sin lol. 🔥🥵
Michelle Yeoh... Always a favorite of mine, Michelle stands out in her role. She is an awesome actress, and she doesn't disappoint. She knows how to throw shade in only the way Michelle Yeoh can, while still maintaining the very classy grace and elegance of her character lol. 🤭🤭
Cons
Honestly? I can't really think of any cons....except for some false advertising, but that's a topic for another day.... 👀
Overall.... The entire cast and crew did an awesome job on this film. I've already seen it TWICE, that's how much I enjoyed it! 😁👏🏾 I still have the songs stuck in my head. You can tell just how HARD the whole cast, crew, singers, dancers, etc all worked on this film. It was very VERY well done imo.
Definitely HIGHLY recommend! (Especially if you're a fan of musicals! 😁)
My Score: 10/10 😊👍🏾

tentative/fluctuating ranking of the wicked movie songs:
no one mourns the wicked
dancing through life
popular
defying gravity
what is this feeling
the wizard and i
a sentimental man
i’m not that girl
one short day
something bad
dear old shiz
various thoughts/justifications below:
i know i’m probably the only person who’s ranking “a sentimental man” this high, but... i really like that song 😭 and i thought how they staged it was lovely. simple, but effective and charming.
people will also be aghast at how low i put “one short day," but 1) i was already spoiled of the surprise cameos, 2) the visuals were fun & energetic, but the actual Song/vocals didn’t fully click for me, 3) i don’t value cameos that highly, however fun they may be. good performance (the standard is high!), but not my favorite. 🤷‍♂️
i guess i should justify “defying gravity” not being top 3. honestly, it's more because of the strength of three songs above it, which are AMAZING. it's still very good, though! i already knew the vocals were going to be perfect. i think the only thing that’s really dragging it down a tiiiiiny bit is the visuals. they’re mostly good, but there’s just a coooouple moments when there’s a bit too much CGI for my liking.
especially cuz i saw behind-the-scenes footage of cynthia actually doing live flying stunts. i was hoping the use of practical effects meant the flying parts were going to look more “real”, i guess? it was mostly fine, though. some moments REALLY shine - the “fall” sequence is really good (you'll know what i mean when you see it), as is the new “unlimited” part they added near the end.
so for the most part, it’s a great number! i just had sky-high expectations from the start!
cynthia erivo is perfect in every song, so that’s not really a commentary on one specific number... but imo her best scene is actually the ozdust ballroom. every emotion is on her Face rather than in song. she doesn't have to say a word. every "weird kid at high school" trauma already burns in your soul.
but the ending of defying gravity also deserves a shoutout here for acting reasons. and i Don’t just mean the scream. i also mean the way she emotes, as she goes from the airy “unlimited” to the growly “aaand NOBODY. in ALL of oz!” its so raw and visceral and free.
i should also say, i like ALL the songs. yes, the standard is that high. yes, even "dear old shiz." i actually listen to the studio cut of that one quite a bit. what can i say, i like the choir! i think it was just somewhat unmemorable. plus, something had to be at the bottom, but there’s things i like about all of these. “something bad” had good visuals that elevated it, too.
"popular" was amazing??? especially because my expectations were not high. like when they released that fuckass lyric video that did NOT showcase it well AT ALL. 😭 it’s WAY better in the actual movie! i promise!
so yes, these are somewhat impacted by what my “expectations going in” were like. i am biased. like anyone. but that's also a reflection of how good the songs are in their "neutral" state, so there's a graded curve where i expect more from the songs i love more. (in a more "objective" sense - although i hate that word when it comes to judging art - "defying gravity" is probably 2nd or 1st).
but ariana genuinely does kill it! her "popular" is funny, charming. and even sincerely well-intentioned. visuals are fabulous, and the new “finale” part is wonderfully overdramatic. it’s so great.
“dancing through life"... i mean... damn. what is there to say about jonathan bailey that hasn’t already been said by every critic on earth? he’s perfect. it’s fun, it’s sexy, the choreo and timing is smooth and slick. it makes you really WANT to be a part of the crowd, dancing (through life).
apologies for going on, but i need to talk about my number one: "no one mourns the wicked." because wow. wow. wow wow wow. this song works much better in the movie than on stage. full stop. no contest.
i think one reason is that you actually buy it as a celebration, at first? in the musical, the instrumentation and the way the munchkins are singing is so aggro right from the start. there’s no way to read it other than satire of a witch-burning. it's too over-the-top.
in the movie, the music feels more genuinely triumphant. it doesn't beat you over the head with it being "wrong" for them to celebrate - at least not at first. you are surrounded by light and happiness. you actually believe the munchkins relief as they’re tearing doing the witch posters. they are safe. the witch is dead. good news!
until “no one cries they won’t return / no one lays a lily on their grave”, the only hint of something feeling Wrong is glinda herself. ariana is genuinely incredible in the scene. the most miserable person in the world, surrounded by the loudest cheers.
the way her eyes seem completely black, empty, and So tired as she pops the bubble with a little fake smile is actually slightly terrifying. she seems just a bit inhuman, by her own design. it’s 10/10.
the whole number looks visually stunning. them all throwing flowers in delight as glinda forces herself to join in (and trying not to have an emotional breakdown) is haunting. a celebration for them, but with glinda trying to rid herself of her feelings with each movement.
it really turns what IN RETROSPECT is a very difficult moment for glinda in the show, into an emotional reckoning in the present. ariana does that better than the best of glindas.
it’s hard to pick a favorite moment (it’s all brilliant), but i think the part where the munchkins hand glinda the fire and make HER throw it on the witch effigy is the most intense one. it feels like every emotion she’s ever had about elphaba is a part of that throw.
the final chorus is absolutely incredible. it really feels like glinda pouring her heart out in the most socially acceptable form she can manage. at any point, i expected her to break and start screaming - i'm not the first to say this, but the final chorus CAN be read as a barely-disguised scream.
and ariana's soprano is INSANE. it's like it was designed to immediately shut down any discussion about whether she deserved the role. she does. she IS glinda, start to finish.
what else… uhh i really enjoyed "what is this feeling", good use of choreo. big theater kid energy. not a lot to say about it, but it was fun. glinda breaking the illusion of the “wall” between them is funny, as is all the students pouring out their “condolences” for her lol.
"the wizard and i" is also great. cynthia gives it a lot of warmth and joy. the segment where she fantasizes about her greenness being “fixed” while surrounded by stained glass pieces is really pretty. honestly, i might bump it up a spot or two!
i don't think anything is going to change my current number one, though. it's just outstanding.

I think there's a certain irony in the fact that Rhaenicent ended up being the reason why Alicent's character was ruined. In the first season, the writers changed her age, invented a sad backstory, and created a friendship with Rhaenyra, all to make her more of a sympathetic victim. I remember the Team Black never liked this because many of these changes were made at the expense of taking away moments from Rhaenyra or eliminating parts of her story, like her friendship with Laena or her entrance in the black dress, which originally belonged to her in the book.
When Team Black fans voiced their displeasure with these writing choices, warning that they would harm the plot, the Greens (mostly fans of Alicent and Aemond, characters who benefited a lot from these changes in the first season) told them to stop complaining, saying that the show was better for giving more depth to characters who didn’t have much in the book. They claimed that the TB was just angry because their favorites were becoming more likable. In the end, the TB was right. Those changes to Alicent’s character and her friendship with Rhaenyra ultimately harmed not only her character but all the Greens characters as well. Which, in my opinion, is pretty ironic.
Absolutely. People on TB, inclu myself, were not really, expressly concerned w/Alicent's characterization for her own sake I will admit that. At the same time, they/we preferred Alicent to act with the agency she displayed in the actual story and grew more and more disgusted with the disengenuous righteousness of portraying Rhaenyra as "spoiled" to Alicent's "dutifulness", which worked to be a disservice to both women. Their relationship and the dichotomy, even for the change for best friends turned enemies they created wasn't even given the proper development or "explanation" on the friendship side that it should have. You can also look at my earliest hastagged "alicent's characterization" posts where I and others complain & criticize Alicent's character of season 1 for more.
TG has often, for a few years, relied on the whole "complex character" bull crap, and I wrote a Twitter thread back in June abt why/how they use the word. Often enough, though, we call a character(s) "complex" bc they suffer to a degree or type excessively and/or for a sustained amount of time; that is because with suffering, people can tend to build up varied coping mechanisms & defenses that could lead them into self/outer(ly) destructive places. And these can drive a story forward, as the greens provide the central conflict of the Dance/succession crises by being the ones plotting/usurping Rhaenyra. The consequences of their reasoning affects their own relationships with each other as well as their supporters. The greens' shitck is that they are just wrong, both for the sexism and how they think their rulership means for the rest of the realm's lords.
But:
the greens are still pretty static with how the show is written; bc of their goal and how they grew up, they do not have a positive character development...it's more of a constant revealing action from their potential for violence
not all complex characters are credited as such in fandoms bc a lot, or the most vocal, of the audience thinks that character is too unlikeable to really explore or credit their motives as worthy of some grace so much as how it may affect them alone if it was in real life, as to create their own blindspots
a character like Daenerys Stormborn, who is pretty morally sound gets reduced to a future-mad-girl who killed poor slave masters, and her actual psychological journey gets misinterpreted--purposeful and not-so-much--and dismissed...this girl has one of the most complex characterizations in literature/media. Her feelings about leadership formed from her experiences and pondering over the relationship b/t a leader and those they lead, small concessions of the heart for intimacy or big ones for safety, how she thinks of her family's recent and longer history and legacy living through her, her emotional maturity overlapping with many signs of her temper and compassion, etc. Her campaign to kill the masters vs her desire to re-conquer Westeros bc of said relationship and the redefinitions of "duty" and love (love for her people and humanity, what is such a thing and how to realize that?). So "complex" doesn't always mean "morally questionable".
Don't get me wrong, I love me some toxicity or some sort of non-ordinary challenge/high stakes in my fiction. Most of my stuff are, and many provide me with catharsis when it is characters developing healthier ways of community, communication, romance, whatever. I also find catharsis when things don't work out so nice, like Claudia's fate in Interview with the Vampire--not bc I hated her, bc she's actually my favorite--bc the story validates the tragedy/horror/sadness's large significance, motivation, or presence in a human's experience under a safe environment (your couch, etc.), thus affirming a fuller sense of one's "humanity". While still thrilling. Claudia was doomed bc she was a child amongst adults who used her to force bonds between themselves and she was forced to become a monster herself to survive. And was punished for that. I love characters toeing the line between grotesque and safe--it's an adventure.

Former BUTCHER BABIES Singer CARLA HARVEY Joins LORDS OF ACID
Tumblr media
Former BUTCHER BABIES singer Carla Harvey has joined LORDS OF ACID.
LORDS OF ACID's manager Marc Jordan has confirmed that "Carla is set to begin recording vocals for the band's new album this winter and will be joining the band on a 27-date U.S. tour in June."
Says Harvey: "I had three favorite bands in high school: GUNS N' ROSES, PANTERA and LORDS OF ACID. Each one shaped me and uniquely influenced me as an artist. LOA had me hooked from the moment I heard 'I Sit On Acid' as a teenager dancing the night away at Detroit's goth Industrial Haven City Club. My obsession with LOA only grew after I saw Coop's artwork on the cover of 'Voodoo U'. Now I get to record an album and go on tour with my industrial heroes! Pinch 16-year-old me! She'll be the one in the vocal booth. While my new band THE VIOLENT HOUR is set to release its first single in February, I'm adding a bucket list item to my resume: Reigning 'Acid Queen'. Praise the Lords!"
During an appearance on an October 2024 episode of The Ward Bond Show, Harvey, who works as a grief counselor and an end-of-life specialist, spoke about her decision to leave BUTCHER BABIES after a 15-year run. Reflecting on BUTCHER BABIES' formation and her eventual departure, she said: "It's quite interesting because [prior to BUTCHER BABIES] I had come to a point living in L.A., you get opportunities and they're snatched away from you. You make money, then you lose your money. And I was so tired of the entertainment business. And I was, like, 'I don't wanna do this anymore. I don't wanna play music anymore. I don't wanna act anymore. It's too much. Nothing is ever gonna happen with it.' So that's when I went to mortuary school and I was committed to only working in funeral service from then on out. Well, after a couple years of working, I got my dream job at a very big mortuary in L.A. And at the same time, I got an opportunity to start my band and go on tour for the first time in my life. So I had to make a choice in that moment. I've committed myself to this death-care career. Do I drop it all, everything that I've worked so hard for in school, and go on tour with this band and just see what happens one final time, or do I just stick on my path? And I chose music in that moment, and that was 2009 that I really committed back to music, and 2012 we went on our — we were touring non-stop, so there was no way I could work in funeral service anymore. Well, it ended up being the best thing that ever happened to me because our career just exploded, and so I got the best of both worlds. I had gotten my education. I had gotten a taste of working in death care, and then I could still live out my dream, and I am so grateful for that. The last 15 years of my life have been spent on stage, entertaining people in a capacity that I never dreamed I would have, especially after so much disappointment in my early years in L.A. So I got to do that. I got to be a rock star. I got to do all the things. And then 15 years later, my mind kind of changed again. [Laughs]"
Elaborating on her decision to leave BUTCHER BABIES and return to the death-care industry, Carla said: "So there's so much that goes into being in a band, especially as you get older and your life changes, you have relationships, you have a partner. I have a stepdaughter, and the idea, all of a sudden, of being on the road 10, 12 months out of the year became just a lot to handle. And in a band there's five people, and half of those people may feel like they want to be on the road constantly all the time and then some people are, like, 'Maybe it's halftime.' So it doesn't always work out for the greater good of everybody."
She continued: "My dad said something to me once years ago, when we had started the band, and he meant it in jest. He said, 'I saw you singing on the Internet. Don't quit your day job.' And at the time I was, like, 'That's the nastiest thing you could say.' But I'm glad I never quit my day job. In fact, all the while, the last 15 years, while I've been on tour, I've been getting more education and getting more certification so that I could continue on because I always had that need to still be in death care in some aspect. I founded my grief coaching company so that I could still be of service to people who need me in that capacity. It was very important to me. And then last year, I was on this major summer tour. We were playing sheds, the outdoor amphitheaters and it was wonderful and every day you're up on stage singing your heart out, but, man, I saw this post about [innovative solidified remains company] Parting Stone looking for a partner success manager. And I thought, 'Man, I wanna apply for this. I wanna see what happens if I can take this job.'"
Harvey added: "There's just so many moments in life where you really have to assess what's best for you. Life changes. And also another thing about the entertainment industry and the music industry, it's not the same as it was for musicians 20 years ago, 10 years ago. My future husband's [ANTHRAX and PANTERA drummer Charlie Benante] in a legacy band. They never have to worry about having a real job — ever. But bands my size? You're not breaking the bank. You're not really earning a livable wage unless you're on the road 12 months out of the year. You can't support yourself. So I've always had other jobs, whether I'm painting pictures for people or doing my grief coaching on the side. That's a day job that I've been able to maintain throughout my career with music. It was a necessity as well as a passion, because otherwise I'd be couch surfing somewhere. [Laughs] I have nothing. So it's really hard to live passionately and just follow your dreams without something to fall back on or something to assist you. And I tell this to a lot of people, and some people are, like, 'No, man. I don't want a backup plan. This is the only thing I'm ever gonna do.'
"I always thought about, 'Okay, this is awesome right now. What about when I'm 60? What am I gonna do then?'" Carla said. "Because my mom is 72 and she's working all the time still. She loves working. We're not 70-year-olds that are gonna be sitting on a couch or 60-year-olds that aren't gonna be out doing something. Life is different. We're still gonna be working. We have to do something, and I'd rather have that be a career rather than a job that I'm forced to have to sustain myself in the [later] years."
In September 2024, Carla announced that she was launching a new project called THE VIOLENT HOUR. At least some of the early recording sessions for the project have been overseen by producer Jay Ruston, who has previously worked with ANTHRAX, STEEL PANTHER and URIAH HEEP, among many others.
Harvey shared the news of THE VIOLENT HOUR's launch in a social media post on September 21. She wrote: "It's coming. I've put my heart and soul into my new project THE VIOLENT HOUR over the last 6 months. I can't wait for you to hear it. Keep your eyes peeled for updates. This is a slower process than I'd like...but...I'm pumped!"
BUTCHER BABIES announced their split with Harvey in July 2024, saying in a statement that "Carla has been an integral part of our journey, bringing her unique talent, passion, and energy to the band," and wishing "her all the best in her future endeavors."
Carla, who co-founded BUTCHER BABIES in 2010 with fellow vocalist Heidi Shepherd, confirmed her exit from the band in a separate post, saying that she was "super proud" of her work with BUTCHER BABIES and adding that she was "not done making music and performing."
In the fall of 2023, BUTCHER BABIES completed a European tour without Carla, who sat out the trek in order to undergo emergency surgery on her left eye.
In January 2024, Harvey and Benante announced that they were officially engaged.
BUTCHER BABIES released a double album "Eye For An Eye..." and "…'Til The World's Blind", in July 2023. The double album celebrated the tenth anniversary of BUTCHER BABIES' critically acclaimed debut, "Goliath", released on July 9, 2013 via Century Media Records.
Smitten with tales of the Sunset Strip, Harvey made the pilgrimage to Los Angeles from her Native Detroit to play a little rock and roll…and instead found herself the entertainment report for a groundbreaking cable TV news program. After hosting two series and acting in a variety of television programs, movies and commercials, Harvey took a break from showbiz to earn her degree in mortuary science. She embarked on a successful career in embalming and funeral directing before going back to her first love: music.
In addition to writing and recording, Carla has a passion for drawing and penning comic books. Her love affair with the genre started when she discovered the Incredible Hulk at four years old. She spent the majority of her teenage years holed up in her room listening to PANTERA and developing an affinity for drawing her own scantily clad comic book characters. Dubbed a "comic book master-mind" by Hustler magazine, Harvey's first published comic book "Butcher Babies" (a fantasy, horror concept surrounding her now-former band),premiered and sold out at its Comic-Con San Diego debut, leaving fans chomping at the bit for her next comic, "Soul Sucka". Shortly after, she released her first full-length novel, "Death And Other Dances", to rave reviews. Carla's art has been featured in Famous Monsters magazine and has graced the cover of iconic Heavy Metal magazine.

⛓ Viole's Voice Claims! 🦂
The voice claim video in this post is also added to the info post for Viole Santori (Des). The voice claims are credited in the info post by voice actor names only, the details for the choices made and portrayals used for the video are only in this post.
This video was edited by me but the artwork is commissioned from Serenity @leonakingscholarship (thank you again, ily!).
This took an embarrassing amount of time to make ngl-
(Yapping about the voice choices + naming the VAs w/ links below)
Their Japanese voice claim is Miyuki Sawashiro playing Masami Iwasawa from Angel Beats! (one of my favorite anime of all time and a very sad series). This is why their singing voice claim is Iwasawa's singing voice from the anime (the singer, Marina). Note that links for characters may contain spoilers for the media they come from.
Iwasawa is one of my favorite characters of all time. I love both of her voice actresses dearly for this performance, but I think that this is only a part of why I associate this voice with Viole. Iwasawa has a mature-sounding voice that is somewhat removed from what she says (we later learn that this may be due to her trauma). Her somewhat pained line that turned into relief (the line from the video) is how I imagine a Viole who has realized they are allowed to feel their feelings outright without holding back might sound.
Their English voice claim is Brina Palencia, a voice acting legend best known for playing Ciel Phantomhive from Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler). Ciel is the character being portrayed in the clip that I have selected for this video. This quote comes specifically from one of the OVAs in which Ciel was performing Hamlet for whatever in-lore reason.
Ciel sounds a bit rougher/deeper than Viole would, but the general vibe of this performance and accent are very close to what I imagine. Viole has an old-school way of speaking that I associate with a British accent. I personally hear all the Diasomnia boys with this accent.
As mentioned, the line used in the video is from the OVA where the Kuro characters are performing Hamlet (dubbed). I chose this line because the old language fits Viole and because, similarly to Iwasawa, Ciel speaks with distance from his meaning and true emotions. This is how Viole carries themselves. Viole, in addition to having an accent, speaks flatly like Ciel does about half of the time and tends to have a general seriousness to their tone.
They do not express emotion often even if they can force the mannerisms of a "proper lady" into their speech when called for, Viole's style of speech is also simply how they are. They have been like this since childhood and are some manner of neurodivergent.
Even with those they are close to, like Yuuri Kawara (Yuu) and Deuce Spade (ship), they still lack the same emotive tones that most people would use. A vocal performance of Viole would need to convey a lot of emotion with a limited tonal range.
In the end, I think that I would still picture Brina's voice for it as I have heard her playing more feminine characters like Fairy Tail's Juvia Lockser. Viole's ideal voice would be similar in pitch to Juvia with Ciel's flat affect and British accent. The Brit in them is strong.
If you have seen a performance by Brina Palencia that fits this description better, please do let me know (thank you!). I'd be interested and I like hearing other voice roles for people, too!
Thank you if you read this far!! I appreciate the time spent :)

The Tortured Poets Department - Taylor Swift (Part 2)
9. Guilty as Sin? - you cheeky little minx, Taylor!!! I’m not sure she’s made me blush like this before! A song about…fantasizing outside of your relationship that sounds like the first day warm sun hits your skin after a long, cold winter. And I personally love a song with some good old fashioned yearning, so the bridge really takes it over the top for me. 5/5
Best Line: I really love a lot of lines here, but if “Drowning in the Blue Nile, he sent me ‘Downtown Lights’” is such a killer opener.
10. Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?- this song is an insane, showstopping moment. Edgy, raging, biting, and even still a little witty - “So tell me everything is not about me. But what if it is?” WAOLOM strikes such a good balance of being self-aware of her image and faults with genuine anger. Being the biggest pop star doesn’t make everything just roll off your back. Perfect production that builds and escalates exactly as it needs to. 5/5
Best Line: “I was tame, I was gentle 'til the circus life made me mean. ‘Don't you worry, folks, we took out all her teeth’”
11. I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can) - I really like the pseudo-western vibe going on and that lower register is always welcome in my books, but lyrically this doesn’t do a lot for me. It’s building to a punchline we all know is coming. She can’t fix him, shocking, and there’s not enough for me to root for the protagonist being delusional. Ending with just, “Whoa, maybe I can’t” is funny, but it’s not satisfying. If a common complaint is that this album is too long, this song doesn’t feel essential, story-wise. 2.5/5
Best Line: I said all of that, but I do really like the second verse, the best part being, “His hand so calloused from his pistol/Softly traces hearts on my face”.
12. loml- I had a really hard time picking a best line for this song. I almost made a list but decided that would be a little obnoxious. There’s references to her other work expertly weaved in to really great wordplay and metaphors and imagery. The development of the story in the three times you hear the chorus is stunningly good. It’s a pretty simple piano in the background with additional vocal layers right where they are needed for emphasis. There’s something a little bit missing from this song for me to give it a full 5, but I can’t quite put my finger on it and I also think loml really is a grower that’s not meant to be gobbled down in one bite. There’s a lot of lyrical details to be noticed and anything additional might take away from that. I vote this song most likely to be my favorite in 6 months that I don’t understand how it took so long to fully click. 4.5/5
Best Line: I had to do two, from the very beginning and end, that echo each other so it’s kind of like I only picked one then, right??? “Who's gonna stop us from waltzing back into rekindled flames if we know the steps anyway?” —-> “Our field of dreams, engulfed in fire. Your arson's match your somber eyes” Kill me (complimentary). The never before, never since turning into never before and ever since is also brilliant.
13. I Can Do It With a Broken Heart - This song is great. There’s a long history of Miss Swift making bops tinged with depression and anxiety and this may be her most unhinged version yet. A celebration of putting on a brave face when you’re going through some shit. Chanted like a mantra she tells herself, we get a peek behind the curtain of reaching glittering professional peaks not seen in this generation while her personal life was crashing. But no one can ever say Taylor Swift is not a professional - I love the delivery on the outro where she laughs off being miserable and ends with a little spoken zinger. Try and come for her job, indeed. 5/5
Best Line: “I’m so depressed, I act like it’s my birthday everyday. I’m so obsessed with him, but he avoids me like the plague,” tickles me so. This her comedy album. Inevitably going to go viral on Tik Tok at some point.
14. The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived - An absolutely killer bridge. It builds the drama up until the very end. Unfortunately, the verses could use a little stronger melody, the first half of the song is a little forgettable and feels a little clunky. 3/5
Best Line: “You kicked out the stage lights, but you’re still performing” is a close runner up but had to go with the opening of the bridge. “Were you sent by someone who wanted me dead?” is such a perfect escalation and so descriptive of a feeling without saying any feeling words.
15. The Alchemy- I really enjoy some parts of this song but I unfortunately have the desire to hire someone to dub over every single football reference so I can fully get into it. It’s too much, it’s too on the nose. I like the verses, I love the way she says, “I haven’t come around in so long,” and I think “who are we to fight the alchemy?” is a great line. There are just parts that feel like football Mad Libs in a way that makes this song pretty unlistenable to me. 1/5
Best Line: “This happens once every few lifetimes. These chemicals hit me like white wine”
16. Clara Bow - She’s known for writing about relationships and that has let the fact that songs about her relationship with fame are consistently top tier (despite being unrelatable to almost anyone since she is the most famous person on the planet) slip by mostly unnoticed. One of my favorite Taylor tricks is when she alters the lines a bit each go-round and/or flips the script in some way in the final chorus and this song is really an excellent combination of some of the best Taylor moves. I’m not going to pretend have known who Clara Bow was before this record, but it works and I don’t mind an album that makes me do a little Googling to understand some things. The Stevie Nicks reference is perfection. Saying her own name in a song really snaps you to attention. And I think this is a perfect album closer. She’s reckoning just as much with her own desire for notoriety and the consequences that go along with it as she is with former lovers, if you’re listening. 5/5
Best Line: “Crowd goes wild at her fingertip. Half moonshine, a full eclipse.” I’m not even sure I should include the first part. “Half moonshine, full eclipse” is one of my favorite things she’s ever written. (Side note as this is the most appropriate place to put it: the fucking personal poem from Stevie in the liner notes??? Stevie being a loud YOYO,K stan??? I weep at the coolness. Which is the opposite of cool and continuing to comment on it is even worse, sorry!)
Part 3 on the way!!!

Broadway Divas Tournament: Round 1D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Beloved character actress Andrea Martin (1947) is a two-time Tony winner for My Favorite Year (1993) and Pippin (2013), both for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, a nomination she has received five times, more than any other actress. Other stage work includes Exit the King (2009), Noises Off (2016), and A Christmas Carol (2019). You may know her from SCTV if you're old enough, where her impersonations and portrayals will make you cry laughing.
It is a hate crime against me personally that there isn't a single high quality photo of Linda Eder (1961) with her silver fox hair. She is best known for originating the role of Lucy Harris in Jekyll & Hyde (1997), and her career has mainly consisted of concert tours, cabaret acts, and an impressive discography. She teaches masterclasses and vocal lessons. She has an upcoming return engagement at 54 Below, and if someone could send me like $200 to go, that would be great.

"You need to watch the clip above. Nothing in this world will prepare you for the absolute joy of a sixty-something woman doing acrobatic stunts on a Broadway stage in a corset. Andrea Martin stole the whole damn show in the span of ten minutes. Stopped it cold night after night. She's a scream, and I adore her."

"I got to see her at 54 Below a few years back, and when she walked on that stage with her fully silver hair, my lesbian jaw hit the floor. I was besotted. She has such a natural swagger to her. Very attractive."

List 5 facts about a favorite sim of yours, and send this to 10 simblrs whose sims you adore ♥♥♥
I'm answering this with Dustin Shen, Robin's best friend in my Time Traveler story. Dust was born in game, but I still consider him my OC, one of my favorites, in fact. 😊❤️
Tumblr media
1) Dustin's last name comes from his grandfather Lei Shen, whom his grandmother Sienna Langerak met on one of her trips to Shang Simla, and of course from his father, Dylan Shen. Although Dustin comes from a family of redheads on his paternal grandmother's side (the Langeraks), he's a blond like his mother, Karen Helgason.
2) Dustin's traits are Genius, Family Oriented, Proper, Lucky and Couch Potato. These are all a perfect combination of Dustin's personality, except that he doesn't really act like a couch potato, lol, in fact he's very active and sociable. Okay, he may be a bit of a couch potato when he plays video games, but in truth, he's more of a 'computer chair potato'. 😄
3) He has 5 celebrity points, perhaps because of the fame of his father, grandmother and grandfather, (a time traveler, a famous explorer and a superstar athlete, respectively). Actually, even though Dustin may look like a nerd at first glance, he could well have pursued fame, since his Lifetime Wish is Vocal Legend. But while he didn't pursue a singing career, he does play the guitar, the laser harp (rhythm a-con), and is very good at karaoke; in fact, he could easily have succeeded in a singing career, had he not been blinded by science. 😎
4) Despite being a genius, Dustin did not finish college, he dropped out of a career in Technology almost as soon as he started it, partly out of solidarity with his sister Juliette, who had to leave Uni when she found out she was pregnant; and partly because, in reality, Dust is too restless to sit and study in a classroom, he prefers to be self-taught and almost everything he knows about science, technology and music, he has learned on his own.
Tumblr media
5) Finally, something that is not openly mentioned in the story, is Dustin's 'platonic crush' on Robin, something he will never admit to, and which he defines as just a 'great admiration'. He would never cross the line with his loyal friend, first, because Dust is very much in love with his girlfriend Judith, and second, because he knows Robin is the love of his sister Juliette's life. Fun fact: Judith sometimes jokes with Dustin about being jealous of Robin, the truth is she understands his attraction and has learned to live with his secret 'admiration' and exaggerated loyalty to their mutual friend from the future. ❤️

I don't know if you've answered this question before, but do you have favorite Phantom/Christine pairings?
I have answered it before, but not too recently, so maybe it's time to make a big ole updated masterpost of all my favorites as of now!
Keep in mind that if a name isn't on here, it doesn't mean they're not a favorite or whatever, it might just mean I never saw them with a Phantom or Christine I particularly liked (e.g. Gina Beck is an all-time favorite but she's not on here because I never really saw her opposite a Phantom I also really enjoyed) or I preferred a slightly different pairing (e.g. I really liked Franc D'Ambrosio with Lisa Vroman but I slightly preferred the latter with Brad Little). And there may be one or two where I could not decide at all (e.g. do I prefer Kelly Mathieson with David Thaxton or Josh Piterman? I can't tell!). Anyway, here they are:
Michael Crawford/Sarah Brightman - The OG cast. It can't be helped, they both had such unique takes on the role and it makes them one of the most memorable pairings for me.
Dave Willetts/Jan Hartley Morris - His rougher take on the mold that Crawford left vs. Jan Hartley Morris's old-school, classical Christine is a winner.
Mikael Samuelson/Elisabeth Berg - I love Samuelson's slightly harsher vocals compared to Berg's operatic tones.
Alexander Goebel/Luzia Nistler - Goebel is eerie, ghostly, and unhinged at the end; Nistler has a lovely classical voice and a scared, slightly naive take on her Christine. It fits well.
Davis Gaines/Tracy Shayne - Gaines is commanding, sensual, elegant; Shayne is innocent but with a touch of maturity that brings a certain uniqueness to the role.
Saulo Vasconcelos/Irasema Terrazas - Hands! I think both were allowed a lot of freedom in the role and it's great.
Hans Peter Janssens/Ineke van Klinken - Janssens is both very nuts and very sad while van Klinken is a reserved yet steely-willed Christine who is more than a match for him.
Ian Jon Bourg/Alison Kelly - Bourg is good with so many Christines, but I loved Alison Kelly's feistiness.
Michael Nicholson/Olivia Safe - Just a fascinating pairing, and they were both understudies!
Yoon Young Seok/Hye Kyoung Lee - It didn't matter that both were speaking Korean, they were so emotional that I felt like I understood every aspect of their performance.
Brad Little/Lisa Vroman - Kind of mentioned above, but I love how well these two act together.
Hugh Panaro/Julie Hanson - Hugh Panaro is a sarcastic jokester of a man and it makes you really feel for Julie Hanson's child-like Christine at the end of the show.
Gary Mauer/Elizabeth Southard - A real-life married E/C couple brings all the chemistry!
Earl Carpenter/Rachel Barrell - Barrell is also really good with JOJ, and more spirited around him, but I love Earl Carpenter more.
John Cudia/Jennifer Hope Wills - Oh the sparks these two brought to the role! Cudia was scary and dominating but JHW was absolutely able to hold her own against him.
Simon Pryce/Julie Goodwin - The voices of these two!
Marcus Lovett/Anna O'Byrne - Leroux-accuracy heaven.
Jeremy Stolle/Samantha Hill - Again, I've seen these two give fantastic performances with multiple performers, but I really do love what they bring to the show together.
Tomas Ambt Kofod/Sibylle Glosted - Very detailed, nuanced performances in a production that was full of it.
Jonathan Roxmouth/Meghan Picerno - There was fire between these two! Roxmouth was intent on bending Christine to his will but Picerno was so fiercely independent that you knew he could never succeed.
Jeon Dong Seok/Son Ji-soo - JDS is a swoon-worthy Phantom while SJS brought lovely expressions to the role.
And I'm sure there are many others...
