Guys :((( we have to cancel all shipping in dungeon meshi :(((((( yeah turns out all the ships are problematic :(((((((((((((
Falin/Marcille is problematic because marcille is only 60 years old which by elf aging standards means she’s a minor :((( yeah I know that she’s actually a half elf whose rate of development is extremely different from full blooded elves, but we can’t be acknowledging any sort of nuance in these things. Plus it’s bad and wrong to eroticize their relationship at all cause then you’re a sapphic fetishizing yuri-enjoyer and you’re disrespecting Kui-sensei. ☹️
Laios/Kabru is problematic because people headcanon kabru as trans which is Obviously fetishizing trans people :(((( plus the inherent power dynamic with a king fucking his advisor? Not okay. 🙅
Kabru/Mithrun is problematic because ewwwwww huge age gap 🤮
Chilchuck/Marcille is problematic because yuck she’s basically his daughter gross
Chilchuck/Senshi is also problematic though because chilchuck is minor coded. Yes I know he’s a grown ass man with an estranged wife and adult children but he Looks vaguely childlike and if you draw fanart of them it would look Super Bad! Children who don’t know who the characters are could see that and get groomed!!!! Think Of The Children!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway in light of all of this it’s clear that the only non-problematic ship is obviously shipping the Touden siblings together.
Stay safe and Always moralize shipping!!! Because dangerous evil people are out there right now waiting to force children to read their inappropriate smutty fanfiction, and We Must Think Of The Children. Yes even when it is clearly marked as explicit content for adults, we simply can’t allow anyone to have freedom of expression in fandom.
I am very smart and morally righteous. 😇
#y’all I just saw the funniest post#in case it’s not abundantly clear everything in this post is a joke making fun of people who are drunk on#shipping discourse#although most of this is based on takes I have actually seen people post in the dunmeshi tag already#buckwild#dungeon meshi#farcille#labru#chilshi#caitie speaks#dungeon meshi manga spoilers

I’m a little drunk right now and I can’t stop thinking about how people hate Marcy for literally no reason. Like she was an autistic 13 year old who’s made her entire world revolve around her two best friends. Suddenly she’s given news that’s absolutely DEVASTATING to her. As an adult a move isn’t as big of a deal but you have to remember 1. She’s 13. She can’t drive to see her friends or fly to see them by herself if her parents are as protective as implied in the Marcy journal. And 2. Moves are a HUGE deal when you’re a kid. Suddenly she’s told she has to live in a strange new place where she knows nowhere and no one. I moved 7 times in my childhood and each time was incredibly disorienting and scary, and I never left the state. Marcy had an age appropriate level of fear and sadness. AND Marcy is a very logical person. She’s so smart. She plays her fantasy games but she doesn’t actually believe they’re real, therefore, there was NO reason for her to think that the calamity box would really work. She even says herself she didn’t think it would work. It was a last ditch effort made by a terrified child being suddenly ripped away from everything she’s ever known. She didn’t have a grand scheme to manipulate her friends and getting them stuck in amphibia forever. She made an impulsive half hearted decision and then was manipulated by a grown ass adult with infinite power in his world while she was at her most emotional and vulnerable.

IkePri routes short comments and personal rankings
* All of these are my personal thoughts.
1st Gilbert
Traumatized villain with death wish. Not a fun route, relatively heavy plots, twisted romance, but a good "villain" route. Emma has real great mentality and very brave, loved how she handled the situation and the relationship. Also the best adaptation of "Beauty and the Beast" theme.
2nd Clavis (Tie)
Four-dimensional troublemaker. The first half was funny thanks to all sorts of weird events and the second half was interesting to see dealing stuff this guy was secretly doing. I liked the romance and chemistry between the two. Emma was very cool and proactive.
2nd Silvio (Tie)
Sharp tongued, materialistic brat. Endless bickering between the two was overall fun to read and though there were moments that I wanted to punch this guy, eventually grew to like him. Used to wonder why so many people love this brat but I get why. Loved how sassy Emma was too.
3rd Nokto
Sly playboy. I think I like these kind of foxy character. Has a sad past. I liked the route because the guy was very smart and Emma was quite cool. What I didn't like was that the romance seemed to be leaning toward too erotic after the two became official.
4th Yves
Star-crossed tsundere kitty. The guy himself was very cute, and the romance between the two was cute and heartwarming as well. But they are both grown ass adults in their 20s and yet their romance was like that of teens.... why.
5th Chevalier
Coldhearted genius. The second best adaptation of "Beauty and the Beast" theme. I liked the process of Emma taming him. But didn't quite like that the guy has the upperhand still. This was the only route that Emma didn't call her suitor only by given name till the very end, so...
6th Licht
Severely depressed one. I liked the heavy story and realistic romance. But, although he's kind he has almost no self-esteem, is a master of self-deprecation, and his past is seriously dark, making me feel depressed as well. I know he's loved by many, but just not my cup of tea.
7th Leon
Charismatic, good-natured brother type. Typical fairytale prince. Has a sad past, but speaking of past, there're handful who are worse than him here... The most ordinary route. I don't remember much honestly.
8th Keith
Double personality. One is very kind and the other is rather bratty. Whole premise itself was interesting but two are so different... and made the romance look like a weird love triangle.
9th Rio
Loyal doggo who always loves Emma. But the route was kinda disappointing, I think it's only meaningful in a way that his love met a happy ending for once.
10th Sariel
Felt more like a "common route" in other games where romance does not exist. I didn't see much meaningful interaction between the two. At least I liked that Emma did best in her role as Belle in this route, but that's all.
11th Jin
Seriously remember nothing about the route except that it was very boring.
12th Luke
A sleepy bear turned into a crazy bear.
PLUS
1. I love the ways "sinner" LIs are written in this game, including Gilbert and Licht, and how Emma deals with those. Instead of trying to just reassure it's okay don't let that bother you, she's like "I know what you did cannot be forgiven, nothing can change that, but I'll embrace even that part of you and lead you to step forward"
2. I love that in the two bastards' route Emma ended up 'winning' them. In Gilbert's it was mentioned that he's the one who was conquered, and Silvio's he thought that it looks like he's the one with the collar.

A relevant question was asked by @tallangrycockatiel about my love of Interview With the Vampire: "Um, why are you into something that is all about dudes, all the time? Is this us not being a bitch's bitch?" Only, she is English so she said it in a more polite, suggested sort of way.
A very fair question! It is extremely true that, by and large, a thing with men only is less interesting to me by far and it takes a lot more for me to get into it. But she was not put off by this, for she had developed a theory:
My two initial theories are that either it hit you early enough that that hadn't become such a strong preference, or that it has something to do with the fact that despite being 95% men the entire cast seems to be having what I can only describe as dyke drama the entire time.
She both knows me and is smart, so there we are. The answer is basically: YES.
I started reading the Vampire Chronicles when I was something around 13, and so I didn't really have an idea that it was kind of fucked up that men we treated as the only default interesting people on earth. I pretty much took it as an implicit truth, where I never would have SAID that, but, I was very much in what can only be described as a 'masculinity k-hole' where of course I wanted to be a 'tomboy' and the only way for a girl to be tough and cool was if she was 'just like a boy' and this whole idea that men and masculinity were superior vomit vomit vomit whatever I am perfectly capable of beating someone's ass in red lipstick but that line of thinking did not occur to me at the time.
So I had NO sensitivity to the idea that stories whose ENTIRE UNIVERSES centered around men might be even, annoying. Anne Rice straight up does not care about or like women, and it is absolutely reflected in the way she writes her female characters. I cannot IMAGINE someone reading these as a fully grown adult who thinks women are neat, actually, and not coming away going, "My god, what is happening in these books?" But when you grow up with something, it changes with you, and the ways you think of it aren't COMING from adult you, they are, at least in part, coming from YOUNG you. And, in much the same way A Song of Ice and Fire, which I read at a similar time, gave me what I wanted from fantasy and wasn't getting, this did as well. I did not know that it would have been what is now called urban fantasy, and I didn't know that was a thing I liked (I very much know that now) all I knew was, I liked it. It was batshit and felt dangerous and it was unhinged and very gothic, though, again, not a way I could have expressed it.
So I'm carrying all that --I'll say baggage even though that has a negative connotation--when I come to the work. I already pre-like it.
This can of course backfire, but it didn't, so, I'm not gonna get into that.
NUMBER TWO: The 'all dudes' thing is not insurmountable. It's a quality issue. I love Dan Simmons' work and his women are basically nonexistent. There are plenty of things I like that don't center women. But, the bar to entry is MUCH higher. I would never in my life willingly watch something like "sailor moon but boys though."
What Interview has, that I love, is a very rare thing: Well written, EXPLICITLY gay, and everyone is fucking terrible. It is an adult show for grown-ass adults where people fuck and murder and abuse each other. Armand is the physical manifestation of gaslight gatekeep girlboss. Louis rewrites an entire personal history to make himself look better and emotionally manipulates everyone he comes into contact with. Lestat is a hot tempered, vain dilettante who does shit without thinking and then has the audacity to go, "Oh no, the quencies!" Everyone sucks, everyone is abusive in one way or another, all the fucking exes overlap, and I LOVE IT. Anyone looking for a hero or victim is watching the wrong fucking show and I am SO HAPPY ABOUT IT.
I'll close with my response when we were talking about how fucking great Sarah Waters is, in relation to the above:
it took me forever to realize that I didn't actually want recommendations for lesbian fic, what I was actually asking is: So who is doing it like Sarah Waters? Which unfortunately is no one. The woman is my own personal oasis in the desert.
And God, it has taken me YEARS to convince people that I care so much less about whether or not something is gay than if it is GOOD. Does it say something TRUE, you know? Is it messy? Is it sometimes uncomfortable? I would fucking LOVE if it could be gay on top of these things, but I'll real here:
l'll read a good straight thing versus a bad and especially a fluffy gay thing
I LOVE that shit like REd, White and Royal Blue or coffee shop Aus or whatever exist for people who want them, but I am out for blood ahaha
I have a happy, boring, domestic gay life, i do not need to imagine what a life where your biggest argument is about the quantity and variety of fucking breakfast cereal (We have EIGHT. BOXES.)

🌑Creepypastas Personalities and things they do in my eyes🌑
🫀 Eyeless Jack is very stoic, not showing much emotion ever. If he has to, for example if he helps to calm down Sally he’ll show concern. But outside of the mansion he never shows emotion. He’s kind when he wants to be, and isn’t completely heartless. If a pasta that he particularly likes is sick than he’ll go out of his way to check on them and grabbing something they need and once his sees that they’re okay he’s gone. If one of the proxies gets hurt in the field? He’s actually throwing a fit that they should be more careful. He’s one of those types of people where he gets mad when someone’s hurt because he couldn’t stop them from it, but he’ll never admit it.
🌲 Slenderman I see as a father figure for everyone. He’s is like a single dad. With the help of two out of his 3 brothers (offenderman is seen as a disgrace to his family’s name and unfit to be around children, especially Sally) He lets the kids (the grown adults that most of them are) rant if they want and tries to have fun with them. He understands that almost all of them didn’t have good childhoods and he feels bad. That’s why he keeps taking them in, having them promise to work for him. Once they say yes, he takes them in and the mansion grows another room (or tombs as I like to call them) 🎮 Ben is pretty nice. Sure, he’s snarky sometimes but he’s a kid. What do you expect? Plus he stays in his room most of the time or he’s hanging out with Jeff. He sees some of the other proxies as his siblings, but he’ll never admit it. Never in a billion years. He’d rather go swimming. Slender does have to trick him into showering because of how scared of water he is. Don’t ask me how bc I dunno. Personally, I would just spray him with a hose. But I digress
🧸 Sally is the average little girl, but she gets angry easily. I’m not sure where people got the notion that she wouldn’t be an angry restless spirit but that’s their opinion and it’s valid too. I feel like she’s usually nice and kind like everyone says but if she sees offenderman or anyone she deems a threat she can and will throw one of her “fits” where she makes the house rumble and she throws things towards the threat. She’s done it because she saw a spider. 🔪 Jeff is an ass. Period. But he does see the creepypastas as some sort of family. He’ll never admit it either. He makes fun of everyone because that’s how he shows affection. The only person who recognizes that is liu, his brother, who says nothing. Slender tries his best to just leave the kid alone, if he’s behind honest he’s kinda worried about him, but he says nothing. Jeff also is really smart he just never uses his brain so no one knows that.
🐍 liu is shy and quiet. Doesn’t really like talking to many of the proxies so he just keeps to himself. He only ever talks to slenderman and masky really. Sometimes he’ll have a chat with his brother, but he and his brother don’t have a very good relationship. He’s very cuddly when he wants to be and only when he wants to be. He loves a good book. Usually true crime books or something with a good plot. He doesn’t like romance novels because it reminds him too much of who he lost. He tries to be as optimistic as possible, but sometimes it’s hard for him.
🍬 LJ is giddy and goofy, always cracking weird jokes. He has learned over time what everyone’s sense of humor is so he’ll make jokes based off of that. Have dark humor? Dark jokes. Have dad humor? He’ll crack a good dad joke. Deep down he likes making people laugh still, he just doesn’t wanna be laughed at. He’s the one who hangs out with Sally the most when slenderman isn’t around because 1. He has the same childlike wonder and 2. Slenderman thinks he’s funny enough to keep that little ball of energy occupied long enough to not run off into the woods and find some poor hiker and scare the soul outta them.
🪓 Toby is kinda a mix of quiet and a fuck. He likes being nice to some people when he wants and then he’ll be a dick to others. I have a headcanon that he has BPD so that’s why he constantly switches between being nice and acting like you murdered his cat in cold blood. Usually he’s pretty nice and knows how to control it most of the time but it gets the better of him. He is also very good friends with Ben and Jeff, being nicer to Ben and meaner to Jeff. I don’t think he’d hang out with Masky and hoodie too often, but that’s just my opinion.
🚬 Masky’s just plain “I don’t want to talk to you leave me alone.” Never has liked talking never will like it. He has exceptions for certain people like Hoodie and Slenderman. Sometimes he’ll talk to liu because he’s actually one of the more chill proxies and leaves people alone unless they want to talk to him. You could also probably find him smoking outside or sitting outside Slenderman’s office because he feels important when he’s near him. 🍁 Hoodie is the opposite of Masky. Wanna talk? He’s so down. Loves talking about everything and anything. If there’s a mission, though? He stays quiet. Doesn’t talk. He’s laser focused. it’s like he has 2 different personalities.
⚕️ nurse Ann seems like the type that likes taking care of people. She is a nurse after all. She just doesn’t like men very much, considering what happened to her. She trusts most of the proxy boys not to do anything, but if they do then she doesn’t let them near her again. She gives off lesbian vibes and I kinda headcanon that she is dating or best friends with Jane. After missions she’ll patch up the people that need it and I think she’d have her own little infirmary tucked in the corner of the mansion with everything she could possibly need.
🖤 Nina is the perfect example of an extrovert. She’s so hyped up and excited that she gives Sally a run for her money. Contrary to popular belief I think she’d be pretty good friends with Jane. They both got their heart broken by Jeff but Nina continues to try and get him to love her. She likes baking and playing games with all the proxies. Sure she’s seen as annoying but she’s really one of the only extroverted people in the manor.
🕷️ Jane is quiet and kind. She likes to help where she can. I see her as religious to some extent? Not a woman of god per say but a different religion. I feel like she would be pagan and have an altar of some sort to some kind of deity. She is usually in the library reading some sort of book or bringing a book from there to the infirmary to read to Ann.
A/N: this took me a few hours to write because I had to think and plan the ones I wanted to do. Likes and reposts are highly appreciated!

Wei Chengxiang from Tai Sui
Submission:
Wei Chengxiang is one of the most important characters in Tai Sui. She's the impoverished foil to the rich kid protagonist, and she becomes one of his most important friends. She grows up to travel the world, joining the most downtrodden, powerless people on her continent and helping fight for them to have a better life. She dresses like a boy as a child in order to work factory jobs, and once she's grown up, she continues to dress in "men's clothes" despite living as a woman. She trades sassy backtalk with one of the most terrifying people in history. She has kickass gambling-themed cultivation powers. She gives her friends handmade embroidered new years gifts. She has a permanent magic wound on her face in the shape of a tear track. She goes on a revenge quest and succeeds! She kills the people that hurt her loved ones and eventually contributes to the downfall of the entire societal system that abused her. She goes from impoverished orphan to founder of a rebuilt nation, and she never once stops being wise as hell and cool as hell in that time, even when she's facing unfathomable odds. I love her.
Zhao Qindan from Tai Sui
Submission:
Zhao Qindan is a smart, generally talented rich girl that grows up extremely sheltered as a result of her family's power. When she's introduced, she's very much the naive rich girl archetype. Then, as a young adult, she's almost forced into a heinous arranged marriage, and the main character has to step in to save her. She's suddenly thrown into the real world in the aftermath as she flees her family, and she's utterly unprepared to deal with this. But! Over the next nine years, once out from her family's thumb, Zhao Qindan grows up into an intellectual powerhouse. She takes up the cause of the poor and downtrodden, and she learns about the system of sexism that drove her to her own desperate situation (the arranged marriage). She becomes a renowned debater and public intellectual, and she later begins to write for one of the continent's first newspapers. She eventually becomes one of the most respected reporters on the entire continent, shaping public opinion near-single-handedly, and she helps dismantle the social systems that led to both her family's unfair privileges and her near-miss forced marriage. She lives for two hundred years and never marries, reaching old age as an internationally beloved and respected author. She's unbelievably cool. Dandan ILY.

New TWOF prequel incoming!
Okay, so you know how I've been infodumping a lot about Luzbel lately? Well, it's not for no reason because I'm making a new prequel that's all about him! It's called "Hymn of the Gods", and it's focused on Luzbel's growth as he struggles to fit in amongst the gods of the Skylands, all while facing the growing threat of the Underworld.
I just finished the Olympian's designs, and soon I'll be working on the Egyptians.
Let's kick things off with Zeus, the God of Thunder and the king himself! While he is a womanizer and has fathered many children with many mortal women, he still loves his wife Hera. He would split a planet in half for his children, and is very protective of his subjects, both divine and mortal.
Speaking of Hera, here she is! She's the goddess of marriage, and while she did always get mad at Zeus for cheating on her with mortal women, she just accepted that that's just how he is and she's calmed down about it. She's even friends with a lot of his spouses like Leto (Artemis and Apollo), Alcmene (Hercules), Semele (Dionysus), and many others.
Overall, she's very motherly and kind towards her children, but can also be very strict if they misbehave or are cruel to each other or other creatures.
Poseidon, the God of the Seas! Not much to say about him except that the sea reflects his mood, typical of an ocean god. On days when he's calm, the sea is calm and sailors can go by effortlessly. On days when he's pissed, the sea is tossing and turning with storms and tidal waves; he could drown a whole city if he wanted to, but he's not that ruthless. He's an excellent brother to Zeus and Hades, they make a great trio.
I've mentioned Hades a few times on this blog, and here he is in the flesh! He's the God of the Underworld, and despite him having a bad rep when it comes to underworld gods (I blame Disney for taking so many liberties with the Hercules movie; don't get me wrong, I like it, I just don't like how inaccurate it is to the real story), he's a nice guy and is always willing to listen if any of his subjects have something to say.
He loves his wife Persephone deeply, and would do anything for her. He's also became good friends with Orpheus after he died (he had to sit through at least an hour of tearful apologies of how stupid Orpheus was to look back at Eurydice), but now that Orphie and his beloved are reunited in the afterlife, all is well.
Demeter is the Goddess of the Harvest, and is easily the most strict and motherly of them all. She's very protective of her daughter Persephone, and while she had her complaints when Hades took her to the Underworld (they had been meeting in secret a few weeks prior because Persephone didn't want to be constantly controlled by Demeter all the time, and because Hades was the only one who treated her like an adult), she's alright about it now and even invites Hades over sometimes.
Hestia is the Goddess of the Hearth, and the oldest of her siblings (well, technically also the youngest since Kronos threw her up last since she was the first child he swallowed).
She's one of the more solitary gods, preferring to watch over and mingle among mortals since she enjoys their theatrics and culture.
Athena is the goddess of wisdom, and the oldest of the demigod Olympians. As we all know, she was expelled from Zeus' forehead after he swallowed his first wife Metis (who, in my AU, was expelled from him later in the same fashion), and as we know she came out full-grown and ready to kick some ass.
She's very smart and is well-read on all sorts of subjects, but she's also very smart and strategic when it comes to battle, which is where her association with war comes from.
Ares is the God of War, and exactly what you'd expect of him: brash, reckless, cruel, all that jazz. He's actually the real reason why Hephaestus is crippled the way he is.
In most stories, it's either Hera or Zeus that throws Hephaestus off of Mount Olympus after he's born, but in my AU it's Ares who pushed him when they were kids because he was jealous of how well-treated Hephaestus was compared to him (not that Ares wasn't treated well, he was just too much for his parents to handle). He was punished after this, and his ego only grew as he got older.
Hephaestus is the God of Blacksmithing, and is very calm and rational and smart. He brought the gift of machinery to man, and he made the first robots, which were made of bronze and given life so that they could move and do things all on their own.
He's very gentle as well, and despite the stories, he and his wife Aphrodite are a fabulous couple. He treats her very well and showers her with jewelry that he crafts himself, and her most prized treasure is the girdle he made for her as a wedding gift.
Aphrodite is the Goddess of Love, and that title is not lost on her. She's very sweet and gentle with everyone, and is more than willing to help out others with their relationships, whether it's romantic or not. She's deeply in love with Hephaestus, and hates Ares with a passion (the bad kind). The reason she married Hephaestus was because Zeus was afraid that the male gods would get into a fight over who would be her husband, and that someone would get hurt, so he asked her who she would like to marry and she chose Hephaestus.
As for the time when Ares got tricked and was caught up in chains, Aphrodite was sick and tired of Ares' constant advances and mistreatment toward her, so she and Hephaestus came up with a plan to trick him and expose his misdeeds to the gods. So Hephaestus created a net of chains that were so thin they were nearly invisible but were very strong, and strung them all around his and Aphrodite's bedroom, and instructed Aphrodite to wait for Ares to try and sneak in while he pretended to go on a trip. When Ares arrived, once he was within three feet of the bed he was suddenly caught and trapped in the net, and Hephaestus came back with all the other gods in tow. After that, Ares steered clear of Aphrodite and Hephaestus and just didn't even bother with them anymore.
Apollo is the god of the sun, healing, and music. He's very gentle but also kind of a wisecracker, and is one of the more laid-back gods. He runs an infirmary on Olympus, where he takes care of the injured after a battle or if there's an accident, and makes no exceptions to whoever he's healing.
Artemis is the goddess of the moon and the hunt, and is Apollo's twin sister. She's a bit of a tomboy, not even bothering with men (except her friendship with Orion), and spends a lot of time with her nymphs and dogs in the forest.
Hermes is the god of travelers, thieves, and messages. If anyone has a message to go to the other Skylands, they go to Hermes. That's partially why he's the smallest of the Olympians; his small size makes him faster, and he's mostly found hovering in the air or relaxing.
Last but not least, we have Dionysus, the god of wine and merrymaking. He's either too drunk or too sober, either way that's how you've got him. He's always one to host and go to parties and get-togethers in the Skylands (especially if there's booze, he bee-lines off to Asgard for those). He has a pet leopard, and looks after a grapevine that's grown so much it's all over the inside of his temple on Olympus now. Overall, he's a chill guy and good to hang out with.
And that's all I've got for the Olympians! I'll move on to the Egyptians, and then the Asgardians.

LO RANT:
I want everyone and their mama to remember that Persephone isn’t actually a grown up. She’s forever fucking 19, I swear I face palm myself every time someone tries to bring that up. Everyone wondering why Demeter is so desperate to stop Persephone going through with this is insane to me because the way I see it Demeter is witnessing her forever teenaged daughter get whisked away into marriage with a man THOUSANDS of years older than her, who in the past has treated her like dog shit and black balled her attempts of rightfully getting title as queen of the mortal realm, has treated women like absolute objects to sexualize and show off to his brothers, abuses his power as king and boss of everyone in the underworld, has shown to have very violent and abusive behaviors and tendencies, has obvious dependency issues, is very obsessive, greedy, gaslighting, manipulating, has a fetish for flower nymphs which Persephone produces and has been stated by the comic to look like them, openly accepts unpaid labor from innocent souls he exploits, and honestly the list goes on.
Bottom line is I have no clue why everyone is not on Demeter’s side. Excluding that stupid ass intervention cause I’ll be honest I don’t even believe that’s actual Demeter, that was literally just a filler chapter to make us ship Persephone and Hades like Persephone isn’t going to be in a dangerous relationship with this man who barely knows her and wants to get to know her. Reread that entire fucking paragraph again you guys because half of it was me stating things that Hades does, so why is he husband of the year again? He doesn’t do anything good for Persephone and he doesn’t even try and change for her. All the changes has been coming from Persephone and her brain isn’t even fully developed yet. And for the folks saying that it’s not the same as humans, I don’t care cause that statement eats balls anyways, if 19 is a healthy and completely normal adult age in god years I’m pretty sure all the gods around Persephone must be fucking ancient because they’ve been there for CENTURIES. I’m sorry but I cannot and will not accept that these literal 10000 year olds will look at Persephone and not see a toddler, if I’m over 100 years old I’m not going to be standing around treating someone who’s barely 19 like some 30 year old mainly because we’re not using our moral or our time scales so that wouldn’t make sense in the first place.
But yeah, Persephone is not mature and although I’m glad some people are starting to realize it it’s still a little odd that y’all are trying to overcompensate her personality and make her seem responsible and put together when she quite literally acts like she’s never left the womb and you can’t blame it on being sheltered anymore at least at this point in the story because Persephone has the most access to knowledge and if she really strived to actually be a competent being in either the underworld or Olympus she would’ve used that smart brain of hers and did some research. She’s literally just an underdeveloped teenager who’s childish and isn’t capable of being 30 years old because physically and mentally she can never age so she’ll basically forever be barely legal. Thank you for reading this bullshit rant I hope many people see it and start realizing this because the way some people just throw the whole 30 years old thing and growth around with her character is atrocious when she’s never made a smart decision in her damn life without someone spoon feeding her the answers.
Of course Demeter would be concerned and scared of Persephone being with Hades since they’re both absolutely fucking terrible for each other and obviously a lot of the people on their “team” don’t actually give two shits about them because if they genuinely did they would’ve never let them meet in the first place.

This is probably gonna be a blast from the past for some people... or at least, I really hope someone will remember this classic sport anime!
So, lately I've found myself thinking about Takenori Akagi and his younger sister Haruko from Slam Dunk. To tell the truth, I've never found their interactions particularly shippy... maybe I just liked other ships with them better and so never really considered the incest angle. Or maybe I was just more shallow while I was first watching Slam Dunk and thus focused more on prettier boy characters, lol. But they're both great characters and I think there's some solid bases there, if someone wanted to ship them. Who knows, maybe if I found more fictional sibling relationships like this in anime, even I would find myself more open to shipping them!
Anyway, one thing that is immediately apparent about them is the contrast between them, which is often highlighted, to the point other characters even struggle to believe they really are brother and sister. Haruko is cute, petite, and fair-skinned, with a sunny disposition. While Akagi already looks like an grown-ass adult man in his last year of high school, is very muscular, and has a darker complexion and a strict personality, leading him to be quite demanding of his team as their captain. There's even a big height difference between them, which can be a lot of fun, if you're into that kind of thing!
However! They both share a great love for basketball. Haruko is the biggest supporter of her brother and his team, to the point that the series itself starts when she meets the main character, Sakuragi, and invites him to try out for a spot on the team right away because she's impressed with his height and she knows there's a need for new, strong players for the team to have any hope to reach the national championship, Akagi's goal since he was a freshman. She never misses any of their games, if she can avoid it. Akagi even taught her to play basketball when she was a child, but she's never had as much success as him in the sport, in part due to her own clumsiness, even if she remains very passionate about it.
Which actually makes for an unexpected yet adorable parallel, as it is reveleaed that while Akagi did start out with a nice dose of raw talent and physical fitness... he also used to be pretty clumsy himself! He did became a fantastic player, but it took him relentless discipline and sacrifice to get there, dedicating himself body and soul to the game and his dream.
Another similarity between them is how neither of them is quite how they appear at first glance. Haruko is genuinely sweet, kind, and very supportive, but in addition to her clumsiness, she also has a goofy side that can get vocally boy crazy when it comes to the guy she has a crush on. While Akagi can seem scary at first and people expect him to be a bit of a brute, but he's really quite good at understanding, motivating, and appreciating his teammates, and he's very smart and a good student to boot.
Sometimes they bicker a bit, like any pair of siblings, but they generally seem to have a very good relationship, with Akagi even listening to Haruko's opinions and advice about the team. He's also pretty protective of her... especially when guys show too much of an interest in her.
Speaking about her love life, remember main character Sakuragi, the boy Haruko recruited for the team? He falls in love with her at first sight and she goes from sort of instinctively liking him to caring a great deal about him, with the friendship between them having pretty romantic overtones even from her side... but with Slam Dunk being an old school sports anime, that romance element never really goes anywhere. Also because, as mentioned above, Haruka is already crushing on someone else... Rukawa, an incredibly talented player also on their team, who doesn't seem know/care about or requite her feelings in any way as he's pretty much solely focused on basketball. Which is fair, as Haruko doesn't even know Rukawa that well, loving an idealized version of him from afar. Meanwhile, Aota, captain of the school judo team and Akagi's close friend and rival from childhood, has had a crush on Haruko since they were kids... but being mostly a comedic side character, he doesn't really have a chance with her.
But what about Akagi, in all of this? Well, he doesn't have even a shadow of a love interest... which means he's free to occasionally get angry about guys being over the top about his little sister without going through any romantic drama of his own! All while said little sister's potential love life and feelings are inextricably tied to his favorite sport and his team... as much I like Sakuragi/Haruko, imagine if one day, perhaps while cheering during a game or keeping an eye on new developments during the team's practice, she suddenly realized, "oh! I don't really want any of my brother's players... I want my brother!"
I'll end this write-up with a little funny moment from the anime (which is itself hilarious, and the humor still holds up to this day). It's the scene where Sakuragi finds out Haruko is Akagi's sister! ... and awkwardly realizes he completely got off with the wrong foot with the big brother of the girl he likes.

youtube
They seem really cute. I enjoyed the clip. Wow, Akagi is enormous. I love his strong silent disposition and Haruko's more smiley energetic vibe. Great dynamic.
Thanks for the rec!

@mk19s: 💭 + thoughts on cross, before and after realizing he's her kid :>
*rubs my lil gremlin hands together*
Like we've already discussed, Liz legit sees Cross as nothing more than a pawn to use to get what she wants. very transactional and cold, she does what he asks just to get the info about her son, otherwise she'd probably ignore him or leave him to his plans and she'd do her own thing. this is all right now and will probably stay like that till the reveal.
after the reveal?
her whole world is turned upside-down, and she'd feel some regret for treating him how she did, but at the same time, she didn't know so she's not that torn up about it. she honestly expected a child still or even a young adult, since she herself hasn't aged since she was infected. she figured he'd have a slowed growth rate or something, but here he is, a grown ass man. grizzled and jagged from his past experiences.
she wants to soothe him, hold and comfort him like a mother should with her child, and when she first finds out she probably has the instinct to do so... but considering who he is, she knows that kinda thing would be too much. it would drive him away, and she doesn't want that. so she hovers and she watches. she waits for boundaries to be set by him before she does anything, though she does have the motherly impulses to do more. but she respect him, loves him too much to break any boundaries so she holds herself back. that's her son! her little boy! she adores him, sharp edges and all.
she's sad she wasn't there for him; angry honestly that the opportunity was taken from her, but she's proud of him. of how he grew up strong, smart, and fierce. she's happy she gets to be near him, even if she can't hold or comfort him the way she wants. she wants to continue to be there for him, and she'll tear anyone apart that would try to separate her from him again.

Doom Patrol. A Eulogy
*inhales deeply*
This. show.
It isn't really a show about superpowered people. I think it's actually a show about underpowered people who, sure, can occasionally pull off a cool stunt, but for the most part are so broken that they can barely function. With such a strong focus on character, personal growth and The Human Condition- this isn't just something I haven't seen in superhero media; it's something I haven't really seen in all of television.
Shall I list all the ways that this show has improved my outlook on life? (ok, not all-)
The queer rep. Need I say more? Genuinely though--I can't recall ever watching a show where I trusted so implicitly that the queer relationships would be a) intentional, b) integrated into the plot naturally, and c) handled well throughout the show. Looking back on my Doom Patrol experience- not once did I worry about queerbaiting or the queer rep feeling tokenistic. I never worried that the queer storylines would be unceremoniously written out to "improve mass appeal". The queer themes were there, intentional, and unique. We have the classic repression/acceptance arc with Larry, but we also have the slow-burn courtship arc with Jane and Shelley (Jane's block being her personal trauma rather than shame for being queer). Characters like Cliff openly accepting the queer relationships to the point where Jane feels completely comfortable opening up to him--and only him--about her and Shelley. Rita and Laura might not be a canon romantic couple, but those two forged a deeply loving bond faster than you can utter the phrase "uhaul lesbians" and have had a tumultuous relationship that is entirely different from Jane x Shelley. Absolutely magical. There's nothing formulaic about The Gay Plot here: the queer relationships (plural!!!) are unique and explored, given just as much importance and screen time as any of the heterosexual relationships. (I know there is still time to fuck this up but the point is: I have trust in this show in a way that I don't normally for most shows. That's really special.)
The Sisterhood of Dada. I know they weren't everyone's cup of tea, but personally I cared less about their plot relevance and more about what they represented: the pure, wholesome and shameless creation of art. Literally any art. Film. Interpretive dance. Sculpture. Spoken word poetry. Bent paperclips. Don't "choose a niche" and pigeonhole yourself as just A Filmmaker or just A Writer: try whatever you want because it's fucking fun. You'll learn something. Shit doesn't even have to be good; it doesn't have to make sense. It just has to empower you against the forces which seek to hold you down. Maybe Dada is nonsense, but it's subversive nonsense. Most of all, though, I loved the found-family aspect of the Sisterhood: a safe place in which one could experiment creatively without fear of judgement from the outside world. I'll probably spend the rest of my life trying to cultivate elements of this in my real world, even if I can't necessarily build myself a secret teleporting salon out of fog where I can be weird and free with my 6 eccentric pals. The world needs more room for creative experimentation.
Lastly but so very not-least that it's actually the most important point of all: this show gave me Laura. I'm admittedly not as well-versed in the DC/Marvel universes as most fans, but I can't tell you how floored I was to find such a captivating mature female superhero. I've finally started to understand the appeal of having a fantastical super-powered person to look up to--even as a grown-ass adult. She's not a 25-year-old in a latex bodysuit with a physicality I'll never be able to (retroactively) attain. She's not here to be a looker for the boys. She's real. She's fucked up. She's incredibly intelligent, street smart, competent in her ability, and benefits from a wealth of wisdom forged in life experience. She deals with intense trauma. She struggles. She's made huge mistakes. But she's trying her best and she's genuinely growing. Probably most importantly of all, she reinforces how, contrary to what society will lead us to believe, a woman's life, growth, wisdom, wit, accomplishments--and, hell, beauty!!--are only just getting started, even as she turns 40. And that she's so heavily queer-coded?? Sublime. We need people like Laura. I need people like Laura.
So...yeah. I am SO grateful that a show like this exists and that I found it. Thanks for the good times.
🖤
...now all that being said- Doom Patrol has nothing to lose now. Go ahead. Give us the Rita x Laura smooch. As a treat. 😇
#or better yet: canon Laurita#it's fine; you don't have to worry about the angry homophobes on twitter now#80% canon queer doom patrol let's gooo#i'm kidding.#kind of-#doom patrol#thoughts.txt

is our academics score currently "fucking dumbass mcgee" or something, who else in a fucking kimono have we seen lately, goddamn
MAGICIAN SOCIAL LINK: GET. Yosuke as the Magician is.... interesting. I am not going to say he's a terrible Magician or make any assumptions, because remember when i said Yukari didn't make sense as the Lovers and then she turned out to be the Most Lovers Ever?
but at the moment Yosuke ddddddddoesn't have any of the hallmarks of what I would consider the Magician. He's active, I guess, but seems more compelled by external forces than by his own drive. also there's a severe lack of control and stagecraft to him. he's a bit sad clown but that's the extent of his performance.
The Magician is someone who is very active, who can throw themselves into situations and usually ride on luck and charisma and passion. They get in over their heads easily but also have a certain set of tools (internal or external, the Magician is very explicitly associated with physical focii like wand and athame and chalices, etc) that make them highly effective.
The Magician is someone who is a very mortal person, but who can feel the magic around them like a charge in the air, and they lift a tool to let lightning strike them, then channel that into their work.
Junpei hit that note right off the bat, reckless but effective, and later plagued by Imposter Syndrome (the perfect ailment for the Magician). Yosuke, I dunno yet. We'll see.
[/CARTOMANCY RAMBLINGS]
someone with some sense. points to Chie!
except she's........... not in the TV? she's fine? Chie calls the inn and gets her on the phone.
Patient. We're being patient. We're giving Chie a chance. Yukari wound up being great and we're going to let Chie blossom into a rad person. Yep.
there's a moment of Dojima being in a dour prime time crime drama, but I don't have patience for that and Chie too. The cops know nothing because "supernatural tv murders" doesn't come standard in their Clue games. Whateverrrrr.
oh thank god a character welcoming me back home, i needed this, thank you. i miss iwatodai.
Aaaaaaand Yukiko's in the TV now, and is on a Bachelorette-style show looking for a MAN and she has on SPECIAL LINGERIE and sigh.
yo i got FASHION
SAD ABOUT NANAKO HOUR IS EVERY HOUR. man, i had to take on a lot of adult responsibilities too soon, but I didn't do that at fucking six years old. Dojima, you suck.
YOSUKE IF YOU LIVED IN THE US YOU'D BE DEAD ON THE GROUND RIGHT NOW. YOU CAN'T JUST BRING A FUCKING KATANA TO A FOOD COURT AND SWING IT AROUND. you're only allowed to do that with guns in Open Carry states.
cannot overstate how you're not my dad. i would venture to say you're barely nanako's dad.
aw yeah that's right i've turned on dojima now. i don't care how nice your voice is, your daughter deserves better and you suck.
TO BE TOTALLY CLEAR
THE COPS SUSPECT YUKIKO OF MURDERING THE FIRST DEAD LADY
THE ONE LEFT ON A TV ANTENNAE
she's like 16 and refuses to eat steak, where exactly is she getting the ability to put a grown-ass body on a roof, did she rent a crane????? bruh.
I MISS YUKARI. SOB. where are the smart people.
Anyway. I finally have the Velvet Room and
wait its unfriendly girl who bumped into me who is apparently new in Golden!
lmao margaret is BRUTAL
can i have a social link with margaret because she's cool and has a great voice and i'm shallow and would love to hang out with another old soul of the weird metaphysical liminal limo.
please god lemme out of these tutorials and into the main routine already i'm withering, i'm dying.

Uh, I'd like to add. From my perspective as a black adult.
Because, yes, I think they were grooming them, but like all of them, even the adults to a certain extent. How long have all the Spider's even been there? It's all very culty, in the sense that these are grown ass adults hunting a 15-year-old, trying to keep him caged up so they can "save the world." And then calling themselves heroes.
They want him to wait out his father's death, because that's what's supposed to happen, while simultaneously believing that he is undeserving of their support as Spiderman, and their community, because he is not supposed to be Spiderman, and he is an anomaly, a mistake that they can't rectify.
Not only do they take Gwen, who's a child that just had her Dad, someone she clearly loves, effectively treat her like a criminal and then some.
It was one thing when he didn't know that his daughter was under the mask, but it was another when he did, and he pointed a gun at her anyway. To what end? She didn't kill Peter, and he looked her in her eyes, and maybe he believed her, who cares. She came to him as a daughter, and he responded by telling her to put her hands up.
So, from the start they've taken an emotionally vulnerable 15-16, with no support system, and then they provide one. Of course, it includes some of her old friends, and she makes new ones.
However, these are pure friend, good ones, that aren't mistakes, people who were meant to wear the mask, instead of ones that aren't: Miles.
Miles is also fifteen, and he's about to be whammied by a canon event, and no one's allowed to reach out. He's not allowed to be a part of the multi-dimensional web of spider people, because Miguel insists, and others fall in line.
She's punished when she goes to see him, despite the fact that she's a fifteen or sixteen-year-old kid who cares about her friend, one of the only people who get it.
Despite the fact that Miles is smart enough to immediately understand what Spot was doing with the reactors, despite the fact that if he'd been a part of the club, he probably could have captured Spot, since he did it twice.
Of course, I think I understand why he wasn't and why Gwen wasn't being welcomed with open arms either. I'm sure the hesitancy is that they make sure people experience their canon events first, and then they can come, and Gwen hadn't, but she'd lost her dad in that moment, and they are still heroes. No way, the vast majority of Spidey's just let everyone die. So, they're recruiting traumatized, vulnerable, and lonely individuals and they give them a family. Knock cups with anguished, share food, commune with, until they don't question them anymore.
Yet, they send Gwen because they think they've trained her well enough that she won't sneak away to see her friend, that they've beaten the bigger picture into her mind; her loved ones are the friends who agree with them, a father who's marked for death, and someone she can never see again. She's saved the world with Miles, he's someone who gets it. And despite the fact that, if they'd let Miles in on their little club, they wouldn't be here right now. It's still her fault that Spot is dimension hopping to become some great big bad.
Why even work alone, if enough of you dorks are just around. Some of these people are full time Spiderpeople, and they still send Gwen alone because ultimately, they were testing her. What else could it have been. They weren't waiting for her to fuck up, I think they were waiting for her to succeed. To ignore even the idea of Miles.
She must figure out how to stop, Spot. By herself, and Jess can't help her, and if Miguel finds out, she'll be tossed out of the group. Discarded by the people who get it. The ones with the shared trauma and bonded by their canon events and not a mask or a moral compass. She's willingly accepted that her father was just going to have to die for the greater good of the universe because they made a home for her, and that was under threat if she fucked up, if she stepped out of line.
They don't make mistakes, they're the clean-up crew. The consequences of their decisions aren't now the multiverse is fucked up because a bad guy stole a spider and figure out how to kind of cross dimensions. It's 'Miles fucked up the multiverse' because he got bit by a spider from Earth-42, and Miles fucked up because Peter died, and they didn't do a bang-up job of preventing the Hydron Collider from being misused by King Pin. Something, Peter could have stopped, because someone how he would have figured out how to stop it all from happening, quicker and better, than the multiple spider-people it took to manage it alongside Miles.
The hydron collider isn't Peter B. Parker's mess, or Gwen's mess, or Spider Noir. Although they were there, they aren't being held to this regard, they aren't thought of as fuck ups.
More importantly, Miguel says catch Miles, and only Hobi really wonders why. I mean, yes, in their safe Spiderpeople Sanctuary. Miles is an anomaly, but he still has canon events that he must adhere to. He's still beholden to us even though we don't want him here. Even though, he's only even in on the canon event spiel that Miguel gives to every inductee because Spot poured all his plans into his head.
Even though he is not one of them, he is forced to conform to their standards. I'm not sure if the animators showed Blood. But Miguel beats on a 15-year-old boy with claws that tore through metal, and he calls him: mistake. He's got a 15-year-old boy's skin and blood under his fingernails, and he'll still call himself a hero. He's saving the world after all, because that's what this looks like for them.
All the inter-dimensional spider people have just given into the idea that their grief and loved one's death, is what defines them, what makes them, and so they are all bound together by agony.
This isn't just saving the world. This is I got mine, so you'll get yours. And when people question you, they're out, and you'll send them to the wolves or homes you're not sure still love them. Because they're either with you or they're out.
Miguel demands their individual stories in return for a collective identity. When they won't adhere, they're the problem.
Miguel fucked up tremendously, and that became Miles Morales fault instead of his own. He tried to live another life. And it's Miles Morales' fault the spider was plucked out of Earth-42 by scientist on the payroll of a grieving villain. And everything after, that's Miles Morales fault too.
Earth-42 is also Miles Morales fault because there's no Spiderman to protect it.
My point is, this was god-tier (pun kind of intended) grooming. And right now, they think they're right. This is what they think and who they are. And they are doing this because they are good people. They think they are admirable. The ultimate, dare I say divine, authority. Which means they comfortably hurt and maim, and catch kids in the crossfire, of their beliefs.
Tossing kids to the wolves feels like justice to them.
Because what were they going to do. Have Miles wait in a cage while they let his Dad die? Were they going to let Spot devour his universe? What was the endgame for them, and the more you think about it. The bleaker it gets for me.
Because yeah, they were probably just going to hold him hostage and then let him go. The think grief makes great Spiderman, not their choices, not their personal metal, their experiences are what defines them, and Miles, although he wasn't supposed to would have been fine because it's a canon event, and they thought they had too. That they had the right too.
One of the darkest aspects of atsv is how Gwen was groomed. When Jess and Miguel took her in, I got "vibes," so to speak. The trailers obviously didn't help, but those painted Miguel in a bad light, unlike Jess.
Gwen, a 15-16 year old, goes with these two in the heat of a tense moment. I don't think anyone had ill intentions, but that doesn't negate the results.
I was shocked when we learned that Gwen hadn't gone home in months. Jess and Miguel become her whole world and take on the roles of her parental figures. In this time, she has become emotionally dependent on them and their approval. Gwen is scared to disappoint them. She's threatened with being returned to her dimension with no support, a place where last anyone saw, her father was trying to arrest her for murder.
Jess uses Gwen's admiration and dependence to manipulate her. She knows Gwen fears letting her down. She goes from being smiley and supportive to blunt and cold.
Gwen is scared. Whether they intended to or not, Miguel and Jess essentially groomed and emotionally abused her. The second she justifiably makes a mistake or just acts like a normal teen who lacks interpersonal relationships, they send her home.
At any point did they try to help Gwen reconcile with her dad? What did they tell her so she'd be fine with her father dying?
I know the dictionary definition is more of a nsfw nature, but I do believe it can occur in just a manipulative manner. They took in a vulnerable child, manipulated her, and threw her out.
Her whole arc reads like a kid disowned for coming out.
Note: I'm a black woman. It's not my job to make you guys feel comfortable with a clearly uncomfortable topic. Complain to the studio who wrote the film. I no longer argue with people who assume the worst of my posts or misinterpret what I painstakingly try to clarify. I don't care. It's my post, and I shall delete and block whoever I want. I'm not the government.
Like it or not, Jess and Miguel, grown adults, take a child with them. They are responsible for her. That is how that works. POC aren't free from criticism. POC can be evil to white women. This is a fictional movie, bitch to the studio who made them the obvious bad guys.
Thank you 😊

Bullshit And Boundaries
Bullshit and boundaries. We all have bullshit. But not all have boundaries. And that’s when things get complicated. It’s hard to call ourselves on our own bullshit. It’s even harder to put boundaries in place to deflect the bullshit. And sometime having boundaries consist of letting our inner circle tell us about our bullshit. Because pride is a mother fucker. Pride doesn’t come before the fall. Pride is the fall.
If you look back on your life, how many times has pride taken you down? The mistake regarding pride, is believing your own bullshit. Boundaries are a barrier. They say “My threshold is at this line”. And sometimes we are not in tune with what is best for us.
Look, we’re all grown ass adults here. We are capable of making decisions. But allowing for input by a trusted friend, lover or family member can be invaluable. I live and die by a life long meditation practice. In other words, I seek silence to get answers. But do you know what else? Sometimes the answer is to get feed back from my wife. She is by far the most grounded person I know. I would literally burst through my boundaries to seek her counsel, than to drown in my own bullshit.
I am a very educated man. But my success is due large in part by surrounding myself with other educated people. And not all of them have a formal education. Life education is every bit as valuable. That’s how smart I am. Not believing my own bullshit. I am confident, capable and no one is better in a crisis than me. Hence, I’ve spent a large part of my adult life working in crisis response. Why am I so good in a crisis? Because I lead teams that are capable of leading. See what I am getting at?
Don’t box yourself in with your own boundaries. Don’t drown in your own bullshit. Strong people surround themselves with strong people. Do you want to know how strong you are? Bypass your bullshit, and burst through your boundaries. Who is standing next to you? That’s how strong you are.

How long had it been that it smells
They use the uh backwards recording murmurs for demon stuff
It's a bit dramatic - the demon related acting not the regular folks
Now it's two kids out with a kid demon
I think they are asserting that the deom permentley jumped because he could see out of his eye again
Kid doesn't appear to feel guilty about him being a demon hotel for like a year
They grown up nah??
Taxi man
A real one
Shaman = psychic ??
I thought he was going to boot him but he just made a case
Please wake up and get out
He's?? Distant family , that's the boy??
That's a basic ass offering
Not an overstretched u tank
He stalking the priest??
This is the other boy???? No his family wasn't shamans?
Omg which boy is this adult?
He scrys in his sleep?/ Day dreams??
She's a cop like her mom
I think the preist (now) is the boy who's brother killed everybody and the taxi driver is the formerly possessed kid
Going after independent contractors
Instant foam!!
Uh oh he keft them
Damn he telling everybody
Water
Self harm
They didn't even do any special effects lol that was just his voice 🤣🤣
The scribble scrabble talk is taking me out
Those are great scenes but when people wait i be big mad
Run
Hit em
Fight
U got a daughter
Damn they had him there all day at that desk
Shady
This was a long ass prequel type i forget there's an episode style where it's just like one ongoing movie and they just chop it in hour increments 😂😂
This is mostly crime drama it's just that the crime is being committed by a demon
This could just be any serial killer
