Cute fluffy Dabi story alert!! Your gonna love it 🥰
Dabi with a female chubby civilian girlfriend who he’s all lovey-dovey for, but one day he told her about he’s a villain? (After he ran into Mr. Compress and Toga on his way home) but she laughed and told him that she knew all along and that she loves him. And then Dabi introduced her as his fiancé to the league, she also explained that her quirk is a healing based but the healing part comes from the food she makes (like Julieta from Encanto)

Tumblr media
Dabi had never been the type to hesitate. He’d burned bridges, enemies, and even his own emotions without so much as a second thought. But tonight, standing just outside your shared apartment, his hands stuffed deep into his jacket pockets, he was hesitating.
He wasn’t sure how you’d take it.
A villain. A murderer. That’s who he was. And yet, somehow, you’d always looked at him like he was so much more. Like you saw past the charred skin and the cold eyes, straight into whatever piece of humanity he had left. And it scared the hell out of him.
He could still hear Mr. Compress’s voice ringing in his ears from earlier that day.
“So, when are you going to tell your girlfriend who you really are? She’s bound to figure it out sooner or later.”
Toga had chimed in too, her high-pitched giggles grating on his nerves. “Oh, I bet she’d love to see your flames up close! You should show her! I mean, doesn’t she already wonder where you go when you disappear for days?”
He’d brushed them off, made some snide comment about minding their own business, but the truth was, they’d struck a nerve. Deep down, Dabi knew it was only a matter of time before you found out, and he hated the thought of you hating him when that moment came.
With a sigh, he finally pushed open the door and stepped inside, his boots heavy against the wooden floor. The smell of something savory cooking wafted through the air, and despite his anxiety, he couldn’t help but smile faintly. You always seemed to know when he needed comfort. Food had a way of soothing him in ways words couldn’t, and you, with your quirk and your gentle soul, were the only person he’d ever trusted to get close enough to touch his heart.
“Hey, lover,” your voice called from the kitchen, light and warm, like always. “You’re home late. Hungry?”
He didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he walked toward the kitchen, leaning against the doorframe as he watched you move around the stove. You were wearing that oversized sweater he loved, the one that made you look extra cozy and cute. He’d teased you about it once, calling you a “walking marshmallow,” but secretly, he adored how soft and chubby you looked in it.
“Babe?” you called out again, glancing over your shoulder. “Everything okay?”
His silence must’ve tipped you off because the smile you wore faltered slightly. Turning off the burner, you wiped your hands on a towel before crossing the room to him. The concern in your eyes only made the lump in his throat worse.
“Touya… what’s wrong?” you asked softly, your hands reaching out to grasp his scarred fingers.
He flinched slightly at the use of his real name. You always reserved that for the moments when you wanted to break down his walls. And damn it, if you weren’t good at it.
“I need to tell you something,” he finally muttered, his voice rougher than usual. His hand squeezed yours tighter, as though preparing himself for the worst. “Something you probably won’t like.”
The worry on your face deepened, but you didn’t pull away. Instead, you stepped closer, your thumb brushing over his scarred knuckles in that soothing way you always did when he was tense. “Whatever it is, just tell me. You know I’m here for you.”
He swallowed hard, feeling the heat rise uncomfortably in his chest. Why was this so damn hard?
“I’m not who you think I am,” he blurted out before he could stop himself. His eyes dropped to the floor, unwilling to meet your gaze. “I mean, you know my real name, but you don’t know what I’ve done… who I’ve become.”
Your brows furrowed in confusion, and you tilted your head slightly, waiting for him to explain. He’d never been one for long-winded speeches, so he forced himself to just rip off the band-aid.
“I’m Dabi,” he said in a low voice. “The villain. You’ve seen me on the news, you know the stuff I’ve done. I’ve killed people. Burned them alive.” His jaw clenched, his entire body stiff with guilt and fear. “And if you’re smart, you’ll walk away. Right now.”
The silence that followed was deafening. He expected you to recoil in horror, to pull your hand away from his like his very touch would burn you. Maybe you’d cry, or worse—maybe you’d just look at him with that quiet disappointment that always cut deeper than any insult.
But you did none of those things.
Instead, you blinked, a slow smile spreading across your face like you’d just heard the punchline of a joke. “Touya, seriously? Is that what you’ve been so worked up about?”
He frowned, clearly thrown off by your reaction. “What?”
“Babe,” you said with a soft laugh, stepping even closer to him, “I already knew.”
Now it was his turn to blink in confusion. “You… knew?”
“Of course I knew.” You grinned, tapping his chest lightly. “I’m not stupid, you know. It wasn’t exactly hard to figure out. You smell like smoke, you disappear for days, and your scars… I put two and two together pretty quickly.”
His mouth opened, then closed, as he processed your words. “You… knew?” he repeated, dumbfounded.
You rolled your eyes playfully. “Yes, I knew, and I didn’t care. I still don’t care.” You cupped his face gently, your fingers brushing the rough, scarred skin that covered his jaw. “I fell in love with you, Touya. The man who comes home tired but still lets me cuddle him, the man who watches stupid shows with me even though he pretends he hates them, the man who makes me feel safe no matter what.”
Dabi was silent, his throat tight as your words washed over him. He had prepared himself for anger, rejection—hell, maybe even fear—but he hadn’t prepared himself for this. For you.
“How can you love someone like me?” he rasped, his voice cracking. “I’m a monster.”
You shook your head, your eyes softening. “No, you’re not. You’re just… hurt. And yeah, you’ve done bad things, but that doesn’t change how I feel about you.” Your lips curled into a small smile. “Besides, I’ve seen how you look at me. You’re not as cold as you think.”
He let out a shaky breath, leaning into your touch. For the first time in years, he felt something warm spread through his chest, something that wasn’t the familiar burn of rage or vengeance. It was something else. Something softer.
“God, you’re too good for me,” he muttered, shaking his head in disbelief.
You grinned, tugging him closer until your foreheads were almost touching. “I'm just good enough for you, lover, and lucky for you, I’m sticking around either way.”
His lips twitched into a small, rare smile. He wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into his chest, burying his face in your hair. “You’re insane,” he whispered, his breath hot against your neck. “Completely insane.”
“And you’re stuck with me now,” you teased, your voice muffled by his chest.
For a long moment, you stood like that—holding each other in the quiet comfort of the small apartment. Dabi’s heart was still racing, but it wasn’t from fear anymore. It was from something else. Something that made him want to protect you even more fiercely than before.
“You know what?” he murmured after a long silence. “I think it’s time you meet the rest of the family.”
Tumblr media
A few days had passed since Dabi’s revelation, and despite the whirlwind of emotions that had followed, things between you and him hadn’t really changed. You still made his favorite meals, still teased him when he sulked around the apartment, and he still pretended to hate your random affection while secretly basking in it. But there was something else now—a quiet understanding that ran deeper than it had before. You knew who he was, what he had done, and you loved him anyway. And he, in his own rough-edged way, was learning how to accept that love.
Still, there was one thing he hadn’t prepared for yet—introducing you to the League of Villains.
The thought had been gnawing at him ever since that night. You had joked about being stuck with him, and in a way, you were. But to be truly part of his world, you had to meet the people he spent his days (and often his nights) with—the people who lived in the same shadows he did.
So, that evening, as you finished plating dinner, Dabi casually dropped the bomb.
“By the way,” he said, leaning against the kitchen counter with his arms crossed, “you’re coming with me tomorrow.”
You glanced up from the dish you were preparing, raising an eyebrow. “Oh? Where are we going?”
“To meet the League.”
There was a moment of silence as you processed his words, and then you blinked, a slow smile spreading across your face. “The League? You mean, your League? The League of Villains?”
“Yeah, them,” he muttered, clearly not as thrilled about the prospect. His fingers drummed on the countertop, betraying his anxiety despite his nonchalant tone. “They’ve been pestering me about you for a while, so I figure it’s time they meet you.”
Your smile widened as you set the dish down, turning to face him fully. “You want to introduce me to your friends? Does this mean I’m officially your girlfriend or something?” you teased, though there was a hint of genuine excitement in your voice.
Dabi scoffed, rolling his eyes. “You’ve always been my girlfriend. This just makes it… official, I guess.” He scratched the back of his neck, his usual confidence wavering slightly. “But don’t get too excited. They’re not exactly what you’d call ‘nice.’”
You chuckled, stepping closer and wrapping your arms around his waist. “I think I can handle it,” you said softly, resting your chin on his chest as you looked up at him. “Besides, if they’re important to you, then I want to meet them.”
Dabi’s gaze softened, his hands instinctively finding their way to your hips. For a moment, he simply looked at you, his heart doing that annoying thing where it felt too big for his chest. “You’re too good for this world, you know that?”
You shrugged playfully, leaning up to kiss his jaw. “I’m just good enough for you.”
Tumblr media
The next evening, Dabi led you through the dimly lit streets of the city, the familiar scent of smoke and charred wood lingering in the air around him. He didn’t say much as you walked, though his hand never left yours, his fingers intertwined with yours in a grip that was both possessive and protective.
As you neared the League’s hideout, an abandoned bar tucked away in a forgotten part of the city, he paused, turning to face you with a serious expression. “Last chance to back out,” he said, his voice low. “Once you meet them, there’s no going back. They’re… different.”
You squeezed his hand, giving him a reassuring smile. “I’m not scared, Touya. I want to do this.”
He nodded, his jaw tightening as he led you inside.
The bar was just as you expected—dark, dingy, and reeking of old alcohol and stale cigarettes. The wooden floor creaked under your feet as you followed Dabi through the narrow hallway that led to a back room. The faint sound of voices echoed from behind a door at the end of the hall, and Dabi paused once more, his hand gripping the doorknob.
“They’re gonna say some weird stuff,” he warned, his voice barely a whisper. “Don’t take it personally.”
You raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Weird how?”
“You’ll see.”
With that, he pushed open the door, and the first thing that hit you was the distinct atmosphere of chaos. The room was a cluttered mess of mismatched furniture, papers, and random objects strewn about haphazardly. Several figures were gathered around a large table in the center, and as the door creaked open, all eyes turned toward you.
Toga was the first to react, her eyes lighting up with unrestrained glee. “Oh my god, Dabi! You brought her!” she squealed, bouncing to her feet and rushing toward you with the energy of a hyperactive child. “She’s so cute! I can’t believe you didn’t tell us she was this cute!”
You barely had time to react before she threw her arms around you in a surprisingly tight hug. “I’m Toga!” she chirped, pulling back to examine you with wide, curious eyes. “I’ve been dying to meet you! Dabi talks about you all the time!”
“He does?” you asked, glancing at Dabi with a teasing smirk.
He scowled, crossing his arms. “Don’t listen to her.”
Before you could say anything else, a tall man in a mask stepped forward, his posture refined, yet his eyes glimmered with amusement. “Ah, so this is the famous girlfriend,” Mr. Compress said smoothly, giving you a polite bow. “I must admit, I was beginning to wonder if you were a myth.”
Dabi rolled his eyes. “Yeah, yeah, she’s real. Get over it.”
Shigaraki, who had been sitting at the head of the table with his usual scowl, barely glanced up from the game console he was playing with. “Great. Another normie.” His voice was dismissive, though you could sense the underlying curiosity behind his disinterested exterior. “Hope you’re not too soft.”
“Trust me,” Dabi muttered, shooting Shigaraki a look, “she can handle herself.”
“Yeah,” you added, smiling sweetly. “I’m not as soft as I look.”
Toga clapped her hands excitedly, bouncing up and down beside you. “Oh, I like her! Can we keep her?”
“Relax, Toga,” Dabi grumbled, his hand finding its way to the small of your back as he subtly pulled you closer to his side. “She’s not a pet.”
Twice, who had been unusually quiet until now, suddenly burst into laughter. “A pet? That’s hilarious! But wait, no, I think she could be a pet! Or maybe a partner! Or maybe—”
“Twice, stop rambling,” Compress interjected with a chuckle. “You’re going to overwhelm the poor girl.”
You couldn’t help but smile at the chaotic scene unfolding around you. It was clear that Dabi’s ‘family’ was as strange and dysfunctional as he had warned, but there was also something oddly endearing about them. Despite their rough exteriors, they welcomed you with open arms—or at least, most of them did.
As the banter continued, you caught Shigaraki glancing at you from the corner of his eye, his fingers twitching slightly as if he was itching to say something. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he spoke.
“So, what’s your deal?” he asked bluntly, his voice as rough as the skin peeling from his lips. “You got a quirk or something?”
Dabi stiffened slightly beside you, but you remained calm, meeting Shigaraki’s gaze evenly. “Yeah, I do,” you said, your voice steady. “I can heal people.”
Toga’s eyes widened in surprise. “Wait, really? You can heal? That’s so cool! Why didn’t you say anything sooner?”
“It’s not as simple as it sounds,” you explained. “The healing comes from the food I make. It only works if someone eats something I’ve prepared.”
There was a brief moment of silence as everyone processed your words. Then, Twice broke the tension with a loud, exaggerated gasp. “She can cook?! Oh, we’re definitely keeping her!”
“Food that heals,” Compress mused, stroking his chin thoughtfully. “That’s quite an unusual quirk.”
Shigaraki, however, didn’t seem as impressed. “Great. A chef,” he muttered, turning his attention back to his game. “As long as you’re not a liability.”
You felt Dabi tense beside you, his jaw clenching, but before he could snap at Shigaraki, you placed a hand on his arm, giving him a gentle squeeze. “I’m not a liability,” you said firmly, looking directly at Shigaraki. “I’m here for Dabi, and I’m not going anywhere.”
Shigaraki didn’t respond, but there was a subtle shift in the air, a silent acknowledgment that you had passed some unspoken test. Dabi’s hand tightened around your waist, pulling you closer as if to silently thank you for standing your ground.
As the evening went on, the tension eased, and you found yourself surprisingly comfortable in the midst of the League’s chaos. Toga was glued to your side, bombarding you with questions about your quirk and your relationship with Dabi. Twice kept bouncing between joking and making bizarre plans for your future involvement with the League, while Compress continued to make polite conversation, ever the gentleman.
Shigaraki, for the most part, remained focused on his game, though you caught him watching you occasionally, as if trying to figure out where you fit into their world.
And Dabi—well, he was quiet, but there was a certain calmness to him that you hadn’t seen before. He stayed close, his arm resting around your waist or his hand brushing against yours, as if grounding himself in your presence.
By the time you left the hideout, the moon high in the sky, you couldn’t help but smile to yourself. You had survived your first meeting with the League of Villains, and despite their quirks—both literal and figurative—you could see why Dabi had chosen them as his found family.
As you walked home hand in hand with Dabi, the cool night air wrapping around you like a comforting blanket, he finally broke the silence.
“So… what do you think?”
You glanced up at him, your lips curling into a soft smile. “I think they’re… different,” you said with a chuckle. “But they’re important to you, so they’re important to me.”
Dabi’s expression softened, his thumb brushing against your knuckles. “You really are too good for this world.”
You shook your head, leaning into him as you continued walking. “No, I’m just good enough for you.”
For the first time in a long time, Dabi smiled—really smiled.
And in that moment, you knew that no matter what the future held, as long as you had each other, you could face anything.

Julieta Madrigal
Tumblr media
Ok, I was inspired by a previous post to write a character analysis of Julieta.
So, the deal with Julieta is that she’s not exactly the golden child, at least not at first. It’s more like she’s the Good Girl of the family. The one that Alma doesn’t have to worry about because she’s so mature for her age. She’s quiet, humble, and kind. The one who may have been overlooked in favor of her louder and more boisterous siblings.
Tumblr media
She can heal people with the food she makes and the love she carries for everyone in the Encanto. So therefore, no, she’s not the golden child, she’s the Caretaker.
The extra set of hands Alma needed when things were too much for her. If Alma was feeling down or depressed, or too busy, and Julieta’s siblings were anxious or upset, Julieta would take care of it. No need to bother their mother unless it’s an emergency, right?
It’s been said she was born to be a mother and that’s because she’s been mothering her family and half the town since she was five. Those are the sort of expectations she carries around.
Tumblr media
I think that’s what allows her to relate to her older daughters and sobrinos who fill a similar role of support within the family. She’s the healer, the caretaker.
She lends a listening ear; she tries to make you smile with food and words of affirmation; she shoulders the family’s burdens; she sees their hurt and tries her best to lighten the load.
She was probably the one Alma was eager to marry off first, because she would make such a good mom and matriarch to the family, kind of like Isabela. So good for the Encanto.
But instead of marrying the perfect guy, like Isa planned to, she married the perfect guy for her, Agustin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also think she blames herself for Bruno leaving. He was obviously hurting and she feels she failed him because she couldn’t fix it.
That’s why she parents Mirabel the way she does. She sees a lot of her brother in her daughter and that’s why she tells Mirabel not lose her way in this family the same way her brother did.
She always tries to reassure her daughter that she is perfect, that she’s enough, just the way she is. She doesn’t have to try so hard. She showers them all, with unconditional love and affection. (Something Alma wasn’t very good at doing that much growing up.)
Tumblr media
And as great as those things are it wasn’t always what her kids needed. She’s a caretaker, but she’s also very passive. Unlike her siblings, she’s the “unproblematic” one. “Señorita Perfecta” in that she avoids making waves and causing conflict. She tries to be a good daughter, and not give her mother a hard time. That’s what I think she has someone like Agustin for. A husband who stands by her and will firmly stand up for his family, and always support them, no matter what. And that’s exactly what he does. So yeah, I think she’s an amazing mom, and a great role model with her own flaws and problems just like everyone else.

Danny in an Encanto crossover gives the impression of someone trying to befriend a stray feral cat and bring them inside to give the love and shelter, but the stray feral cat doesn’t trust them and keeps hissing every time they get too close.
Although, I’d love to see everyone being completely accepting of Danny. They don’t look at him with suspicion or hatred when they see him slip up, they’re amazed! He has powers just like the Madrigals? That’s super cool! And he has more than one? Not just phasing through solid objects, but also invisibility and sensing ghosts nearby? Even better!
I bet that Bruno would relate to him in a way. They were both looked down on for their powers, but in different ways. Bruno because he mostly predicted bad things with no control over it, and Danny because a lot of people, including his parents, really didn’t like “Phantom” because the sole reason that he was a ghost. Alma knew that it was Bruno who had the powers, Danny’s parents didn’t know he was the ghost they keep shooting at.
Also, Danny 100% defends Bruno from any villagers who blame him for having bad visions. Bruno’s lacked social interaction with other humans for ten whole years, but Danny’s up for fighting for him. His favorite line to use was “If I’m a child and I have to explain this to you, what does that say about you as an adult?”. He didn’t get in trouble for it.
Danny talks about space and teaches them about it! He’s more than happy to explain it all and answer their questions the best he can!
Danny eats Julieta’s food and is honestly freaked out because his ribs are suddenly not broken anymore. Take it a step further and say that he’s sleep deprived, and one of the side effects of having food that heals you is that it can make you really tired if you haven’t slept well for a while, so you can’t help but take a quick nap. So he just falls unconscious after a few bites and wakes up in the early morning not knowing what year it is.
It doesn’t get rid of his death mark, though, which confuses everyone. Speaking of his death mark, Danny doesn’t like to talk about it, but eventually explains that it’s a scar from being zapped. He doesn’t go into detail or talk about what exactly the incident did to him, though. He just mentions that he got zapped and has a scar from it.
Eventually, the Madrigals will come to the realization that he doesn’t just have ghost-like powers. He’s actually a ghost. Half ghost, at least.
Also, Danny swears he sees Pedro around the house, not just in the paintings, and the most often place is by Alma’s side. He’s even had conversations with him. To everyone else, it looks like he’s talking to thin air, but he seems so fixated on something that’s actually there and listens to nothing so much that they think he’s actually being serious. Once, during a conversation with Alma and she was telling him about Pedro, he looked at her very confused and said “What are you talking about? He’s standing right next to you”.
At first, she was upset, but he said it with way too much confusion and conviction that she starts to realize he’s serious. Every time someone says that he isn’t, Danny gestures to nothing and goes “Are you blind?! He’s right there!”. In his eyes, Pedro really is there, looking awkward because this kid sees him and is arguing with his family about it.
Honestly, Danny doing something by himself and then suddenly turning around and making immediate direct eye contact with Pedro would be really funny. Pedro is honestly freaked out because something seemed off with the kid from the beginning, and he just made eye contact with a ghost?
Tumblr media
Oh, and you best believe that after being treated so nicely by everyone, Danny will start throwing hands the second another ghost tries to cause them trouble.
Make it even better by combining it with Good Vlad. The two just show up one day trying to find a place to live. Their dynamic confuses more than a few people because people usually treat their god father or technical uncle with love and respect. Danny’s constantly getting on his nerves for the fun of it, doing things including but not limited to taking his coffee. He also calls him a “fruit loop”, which apparently means someone insane. Vlad calls him “Little Badger”, and yes, he’s actually been bitten by Danny once because Vlad startled him when he grabbed him to pull him out of danger and Danny’s first instinct was to bite him.

Not enough (Bruno x Reader)
Tumblr media
For @tolkien-fantasy hope you like it
__________________
You sighed and tried to block the pain from your mind as you let Casita help you to the nearest chair. You were sick of this, of not being able to do things by yourself and having to depend not only on your family, but on the house itself. It's not that you weren't grateful, but each day you felt more like a burden than a person.
"Thank you Casita" you whispered
You didn't even pay attention to the little tile that waved in greeting, you were too busy gently rubbing your hands and trying to hold back the angry tears that stung in your eyes.
You really missed the time when you could do more things, when you could run, jump, cook, play with your nieces and nephew, when simply moving from one chair to another was not an almost impossible herculean task for you. A time that seemed so far away now.
It started just three years after your wedding. You and Bruno were at your best, just enjoying each other's company, being goofy and happy, you had even made plans to make your family bigger (even if he turned red as soon as you mentioned it), it was all so perfect. Until the first blackout.
It had happened out of nowhere, one moment you were buying books with Pepa and the next everything had suddenly gone dark. By the time you woke up, you were already at home, in your bed, with the whole family looking at you with concern while Julieta tried to bring down your fever. Your sister-in-law didn't know what caused it, and despite what she might say, the soft smiles she gave you and how much she cared for you, you knew that a part of her had never stopped feeling guilty, because no matter how much magical food she gave you, you never healed.
Things had only gotten worse for you since that day, blackouts occurring more and more frequently, your joints and muscles getting weaker, condemning you to a life of constant pain. At first, you didn't want to say anything, you didn't want to worry Bruno or give Julieta more work, but when Pepa had to carry you back in her arms because your legs couldn't bear your weight anymore, you had to admit that something was wrong with you.
Your husband hardly ever left your side since then, saying that he didn't help the town much anyway. Alma accepted it, too worried that something could happen to the person she saw as another child, Julieta scolded you for not going to her every time something hurt and Pepa had made it her mission not to lose sight of you in the strange times when her brother was not with you.
"You can't leave me alone with those two, Y/N" she had told you "I'd go crazy"
"You already are" you teased softly
She smiled at you, but you could see in her eyes the same fear that invaded them all. They never told you anything, but you knew that Bruno had tried to look into your future to find out how he could help you or what would happen to you, when would you get better? But he never shared that vision, and deep inside you knew the answer: you never would.
It was hard at first, but you were strong for him, because you knew that the only person more terrified than you was your husband. He was afraid of losing you, of not being able to do anything for you, and even though you felt the same fear of leaving him, you decided that you couldn't let that paralyze you, that regardless of whether you had much or little time left, you were going to enjoy it with your family.
Your nieces and nephew were quick to get used to your situation. Isabela tried to act as if she could take care of you by herself, she would spend afternoons with you after school and she would fill your hair with beautiful flowers to cheer you up when you felt bad. Often she and Camilo competed over who could make you smile the most.
Luisa was extremely careful with you. She had just gotten her gift just two years before and she was terrified of hurting you with her strength, so she was content to just talk to you from the door. Mirabel, your precious butterfly, was the one who kept you the most company.
The girl was a miracle, you had told Julieta, who lit up the whole room with her mere presence. It didn't matter if Pepa or Bruno were keeping you company, Mirabel was always, always by your side, telling you how her day had gone, what things she had found, showing you her drawings and simply making you feel warmer every time she smiled at you.
However, everyone knew that it was Dolores who took care of you the most. The girl was silent, but her gift had turned out to be the most useful in helping you. She was always aware of you, your heart rate, your breathing, everything. If you started to get agitated, the girl immediately warned any adult who was nearby, she was like your little personal sentinel, always watching over you even if she wasn't around.
So you weren't surprised when Bruno rushed into the kitchen, almost tripping over his own feet. You smiled lovingly at him when he dropped in front of you with concern etched on his face. You were pleasantly surprised how after so many years, he was still incredibly handsome in your eyes and how he could look at you with such love and adoration, as if he hadn't spent the last few years practically having to shadow you.
"What happened?" he asked worried
"Nothing" you smiled "I just got a little dizzy, but I'm fine, Casita helped me"
He smiled back gently, stroking the back of your hand with his thumb, his touch as light as a feather. That was another thing he knew you hated: that nowadays your conversations were just to say who had helped you. There were no longer funny stories, innocent gossip or funny anecdotes, your life was slowly ending between the same walls.
"Amor..." you whispered
"Yes?"
"...please"
Your husband's expression changed to one of intense pain. It wasn't the first time you had this conversation, that you begged him to tell you what he had seen in that vision. You weren't stupid, you knew there was no cure, otherwise Julieta's food would have already worked, you didn't want to know how it would happen, if it would be painful or if you would go off quietly between dreams. All you wanted to know was how much time you had.
"Y/N -" he started
"I need to know, Bruno" you interrupted him "I don't even know if I'll make it to next Christmas"
It was a depressing thought, because it was September, and if it weren't for the intense pain you felt all the time and that had gotten worse in recent weeks, you wouldn't be making such a suggestion knowing that Dolores was listening to you. But you felt that now was not the time to be careful.
"Mi vida-"
"Please" you begged "...just tell me, how much time do I have?"
Bruno looked at you with an intense mix of fear, pain, and regret, but with a flash of love, love so deep you could almost feel it in your very bones. He sighed and took your hands gently. His grip was shaky and you knew, even before the words left his mouth, that his response was causing him great pain.
"Not enough"

Whisp thought about what had happened before the whole house came down... figuratively and literally...
Tumblr media
Red and Aquatic eyes watched in synced as everyone gathered together just in time to see Alma Madrigal come to take her anger and blame everything that was going on at Mirabel.
Mirabel, the one who has been doing nothing but trying to HELP the family in the first place!
The twin princesses tried to help as much as they could. After what happened with Luisa and finding out she was so stressed, she wondered if any of the other family members felt that way.
Gigi started off easy and talked to Dolores first, seeing how her gift may be one of the hardest for her. The ability to hear was powerful but also dangerous for the user.
❝ Does it hurt? Do you listen to everything? Did... did they ever shout at you? ❞
Meanwhile, Whisp knew she wasn't going to get ahold of Isabella at all with the head witch Monarch holding her nearly all day with the upcoming engagement party. She rolled her eyes at the blind old bat not seeing Isabella's obvious strained smile. Whisp decided to find Julieta instead, knowing she would be in the kitchen cooking.
Unlike Gigi, Whisp didn't take the soft approach much and liked to get to the point. Once she saw her working again, she just blurted it out.
❝ Aren't you tired of cooking constantly all the time? Don't they ever give you a break? How long do you constantly overwork yourself? Do the villagers even thank you?! ❞
Tumblr media
Dolores kept trying to listen for distant signs of her cousin, but got a sharp reminder of the uncomfortable silence. She had no idea how everyone else was handling the change, but she’d gotten so used to the noise…all she could do now was keep her eyes peeled for Mirabel.
Her door had blinked out first when Casita fell, and she was glad for that. The sound of the cracking was like screaming. She didn’t want to imagine what Casita crumbling would have sounded like with her Gift.
Pepa rested a hand on Gigi’s shoulder.
“Thank you for your help, Mija,” she said lightly.
Tumblr media
Some people had wanted Isabela to stay behind and help her mother deal with injuries or some other safe task. But this was her little sister. She’d been so awful to her and just when they’d reconnected, this happened.
She felt guilty, even though she didn’t have to, seeing Casita crumble the way it had. So quickly after she and Mirabel reconciled. She’d just been glad to see that Mirabel wasn’t hurt. Now, she just wanted her back.
“You and me, both…,” she mumbled.

Hi there 👋🏽 I was wondering if I could request some headcanons for class 1A & a reader who’s izuku’s twin sibling who goes to a different school and has a power like Julieta Madrigal’s (where they can heal you with the food they cook) maybe they prefer to call their quirk a gift?
Masterlist MHA Masterlist
1A X Midoriya! Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
• First of all, no one knew at first that Deku had a sister except Bakugou, obviously
• They all found out after the Sports festival. Afterwards, when the students were the only ones really left at the school, they saw Deku meeting with a mint haired girl off to the side. She handed a small pastry that he gobbled right up.
• They asked Bakugo as he passed to leave. He just said "That's Deku's sister, Y/N." Like it was obvious. She passed a pastry to Bakugo as he passed and he took it with no complaint. He nibbled on it as he left.
• What really blew their minds was that Deku took off his arm braces and was completely healed. Before anyone could ask, they began to walk away.
• It wasn't until the next school day that they could ask any questions.
Y/N Midoriya: Twin sister to Izuku
Hair: Mint shade & Wavy
Eyes: Hazel/ Bright Amber
Quirk: Can heal Many levels of injury with her cooking.
• Prefers baking but can cook great (Maybe even better than Bakugou.)
• Can factor in different levels of healing into whatever it is she cooks, even have no healing built in.
• Was thought to be quirkless until she wanted to make some strawberry brownies for Izuku after he had a run in with some bullies again. He was healed within moments of the first bite.
• Doesn't go to hero school but is working towards a medical degree.
• You started very young referring to your quirk as a gift. Most peoples quirks were either just inconvenient things or were just there or ones that could be considered heroic quirks. There were fewer people that had healing type quirks so you thought of it more of a gift since you could help people in a calmer, safer way that still held up to the Hero's.
After they meet you:
• After your presence is made known, Aizawa did have to have a meeting with your mother because you couldn't always be healing Izuku and no matter how much you didn't like it, you understood. Especially after you met with Recovery Girl.
• The class LOVED you and it wasn't too long before you were an honorary member of Class 1A. You were similar in a way to Izuku. You were adorable and sweet and fiery to a fault. You were a bit more confident then Izuku as well as being less over the top.
• What surprised everyone the most was that Bakugo was more open to you. He was still his normal standoffish self but he didn't go off on you like he did Deku
• The class also became very protective of you. If there was any threat that they found out near you, they had either Izuku or Bakugou to call you to make sure you're okay.
• And heaven help the person that did hurt you. If your brother didn't get to them first, they had no chance of escaping the rest.
• Izuku always made sure you got to your own school before heading to UA. That became harder when he had to move into the dorms but you were given permission to visit by Aizawa (he hoped it would help keep Izuku in check.)
• Speaking of Aizawa became fond of you too, not that he was going to mention it. He would do anything for you that he would do for his class.
• All Might even was fond of you. After his retirement, you would make him batches of different things that helped with his condition and the pain from it.
• Like we said, you were loved by the class.
• Sato and you would bake together. He would teach you new recipes and vice versa.
• Uraraka and you were fast friends. You were also very appreciative of her for being friends with Izuku. After you found out what over use of her quirk does to you, you made some candies to help with nausea.
• Kaminari, Sero, Todoroki, and Sero knew they could come to you for anything. Like help with homework and studying , if they need someone to talk to, anything really.
• All the guys made sure that Mineta didn't bother you. It took everyone to hold Izuku AND Bakugou back when he tried something the first time.
• You were friends with everyone in the class but the ones you became closest with outside the two boys was Kami and Ojiro. The three of you have their weird but perfect balance between you. Kami was drawn to you at first because he's Kaminari, come on. He's a flirt but when you showed genuine interest in him and genuine concern when he short-circuited, he let him be himself with you.
• And Ojiro, how could you not like him. He's so sweet and you two just clicked. Like two peas in a pod. To be honest, the overall exciting energy the class gives off is overwhelming to you. Ojiro's calm disposition is welcoming to you. You both work hard for your goals and support each other through hard times. (Not to mention the small crush you have on the man that Izuku definitely doesn't tease you about incessantly.)

Julieta, the creepy staring one:
She is the eldest of the triplets and her gift is cooking. The meals she cooks have the power to heal all the wounds of the person who eats them, but she can also create dishes that will destroy the lives of those who eat them.
Julieta doesn't talk much. She spends most of her time inventing poisonous recipes in the kitchen beneath Casıta(home). Her husband and loyal assistant Agustin helps her.
Don't look directly into her eyes, otherwise you may become the ingredient of her next food.

Some thought but did you ever think there was a chance Luisa WASN'T the only one to lose her gift for a bit during Antonío's ceremony? It wasn't only her door that flickered during the ceremony (and as we can see from the next day when Luisa had troubles with her gift, it began to flicker again)
Isabela, Camilo, Julieta and Antonío would all need to use their gifts in very specific shot of time to know of any problem. And as far as we can see, they all are just dancing and partying. Yes, Julieta does have food but we don't see anyone being actually injured and needing healing. (Assuming they can't really feel their gifts presense in some way). So if nobody had used their gifts, it's possible they didn't know it happened at all
Pepa is a bit more tricky, she doesn't really control her power. But here again comes the fact that even in other scenes we don't see Pepa always with clouds or rainbows. So when emotions aren't too intense it can be controlled
Luisa and Dolores both have the most physical gifts out of the family, which they seem to be using by default. Unable not to. So both of them had the best chance to feel the problem. Again, there's the fact we don't see Dolores saying a word about her hearing being weaker at any moment. But do you think how loud the party would be even without superhearing? Plus Luisa was clearly shown to have some form of anxiety, which does riggle wirh her perception and overthinking of what this all could mean. Or Dolores just wasn't comfortable enough to talk with Mirabel. Tho she's still the one harder to pin than the rest of the family

—-///—-
You could feel her eyes flick up and burn into you and then you heard a giggle escape her lips.
But you couldn't look back at her. Not when she was doing this to you. Not when she was touching you in this sinful way and making you cry her name weakly.
How could such a quiet polite young woman make you whimper like how you were now? Many, including yourself for a time, thought of Julieta as a sweet innocent girl with no unholy thoughts and only a goal to heal and help as many people as possible.
But how wrong you all were.
Imagine the look on the townspeople if they could see you now with Julieta Madrigal, everyone's holy healer and saviour, fucking you with her long delicate fingers.
"Does my hermosa girl like that?" She grinned.
You whined again.
"Does she like being bend over with my fingers deep inside of her pequeña perfecta la coño?"
I moaned at her dirty words, "Julieta!"
"Aw.." She cooed at you and thrusted her fingers in deeper, "Una pequeña puta..."
More sinful noises fell out of your mouth. You felt so filthy; you were having very tender sex with a woman well out of your league and she won't stop whispering dirty things into your ear.
But it felt so dam good.
You felt although you was slowly falling down slowly, into the deep pleasure Julieta was providing you with.
It felt amazing. Like bliss.
You never wanted her fingers to leave you, so you tried your hardest to squeeze your thighs close together to prevent the sinful Angel from pulling away.
But your thighs were shaking so much from the pleasure, you couldn't do anything. Which made it easy for her to hold your legs open so she could do whatever she wanted to you.
Julieta owned you. And your pussy.
You had felt slightly embarrassed earlier about being so exposed and vulnerable to someone but you had instantly forgotten those self-doubting thoughts as soon as Julieta's fingers entered you.
"Mi amor..?"
A sudden change in her tone brought you back up to reality. She had went from playful dirty tease to the usual soft and gentle Julieta everyone knew again. The change didn't scare you, but it made me slightly nervous as you knew she now wanted something from you.
Julieta leaned up from behind of you and gently used your hair to pull your head and force you to look straight forward. You now saw and remembered the mirror that stood across from the bed.
You could see yourself looking back at you and Julieta behind you in the mirror. You thought you looked...unflattering, to say the least. With your tight braids now out and an absolute mess in between Julieta's fingers, dry tears on both your cheeks, a red face that made you look as if you had been drinking and salvia (that was both yours and Julieta's) smeared across your mouth.
'Mierda.' You thought, 'She had done that much to me? How long had we been doing this for? I thought it had only been a few minutes but now I really think about it, it been at least an hour. Possibly two.'
"Look at how beautiful you are, Preciosa!" Her laughter filled the room and you sighed in response.
"I want you to watch your pretty face while I lick your pussy."
There it was. The command you was waiting for. It made your cheeks burn more and your legs shake again.
Julieta then let go of your hair and moved back down to ruin you again. This time with her tongue. You quickly tended up and gasped, but your eyes didn't leave the mirror, as you felt her slippery wet member enter your wet throbbing cunt.
You whispered, "Oh God Julieta, you're going to make me see God..."

a little thing about the madrigal family and their gifts
something i really find fascinating about encanto is the different gifts each madrigal sibling receives and how it correlates to this greater idea of "protection" or "defense".
as in defense/protection against outside intruders.
like, look at the triplets. julieta, pepa, and bruno.
julieta is able to heal with the food she makes, which can help her family and her community recover from injuries from attackers faster. pepa can control the weather with her emotions-- weather that could be used to wash away or slow down any intruders. bruno literally can predict the future.
and then the grandkids, too!
isabela's control of plants and luisa's strength stand out as the most outwardly powerful. isabela can summon cacti or trees to harm any intruders, and luisa's brute strength can overwhelm anyone who tries to get after her.
dolores and camilo are a little more subtle in theirs, but they're still pretty good for a defense. dolores, similar to how bruno could predict them coming before they arrive, can hear any intruders approaching before they get there, so she can provide early warning to her family and community. camilo is a shapeshifter, he can shapeshift into other, stronger people, or even into the intruders to become a spy amongst them.
mirabel, obviously, doesn't have a gift. she's more representative of a change against the idea of the gifts being used mostly for defensive purposes. perhaps casita realizes that they're strong enough to protect themselves now, or maybe abuelita unconsciously asked for her children to get these specific gifts to protect her family and then felt like there was enough following camilo. either way, mirabel is the shift away from it.
antonio's gift of animal communication can still be used for this "warfare" or defense. he can tell his animal posse to attack people for him, or they can even become spies for him, overhearing secrets and plans from their attackers and reporting back to him, but his gift feels like the first one meant to be just for himself.
granted, we do not get the backstories of the other madrigal children that deep-- how they were as little kids. maybe julieta always loved to cook, and isabela loved flowers and plants, and camilo was always playing pranks, and their personalities subtly manifested their gifts in them.
but i still think it's really interesting how the gifts of the madrigal family can be used to defend and protect their family and community from outside attackers. after all, that's the reason that abuelita first left her home-- they were attacked by outsiders. it makes sense that the gifts could reflect a response to that fear.

SORRY 😛
Lmao I was tired asf Friday and Saturday 😭😭 ANYWAYYYYY here are three drawings?? Because I missed those two days, and then today's drawings lol
Resident Evil <333 nah, but I did wanna explore more of little Mirabel...homegirl mist have been LONELY I mean she was a little girl and by this point hadn't gotten her family back. And the other lords were doing their own thing, I'm not really sure.
Tumblr media
I like creepy Julieta. That's it. It was stated she had a staring problem in a past post. I also think she'd be very pushy when it comes to healing 👩‍🦲
Tumblr media
Bruno's doll typically is hidden pretty well (because yes, Bruno is stuck in the other world, but his doll can move freely between them). But one time (maybe a few times), Mirabel and Camilo find his doll.
But it isn't until they're older and get their own dolls and are consistently visiting the other world that they realize that Bruno is stuck over there, and then they start to make the effort to actually find him 🤭
That's all I got. MORE TOMORROW...and possibly some Wish stuff, idk

Phantie’s Encanto: Los pequeños trillizos
Following is a part of my personal headcanon about the childhood dynamics and personalities of Madrigal triplets. It's movie-compliant, with some elements related to production materials and some answers given by director and crew to audience, like the rest of my fanon.
Lots of text and pictures under 'read more':
Three Madrigal children, born at the same time, have got traits of their parents split between them. Oldest, Julieta, fully inherited gentle, caring and selfless nature of her father Pedro. Middle sister, Pepa, impulsive and passionate, got strong will and persistence of her mother Alma. Youngest kid, their brother Bruno, has got golden mean of personality between two – his father’s protective loving heart and his mother’s stubborn, resilient character.
When the three were born, there were no children of their age in the entire village: just some older ones, and only couple of years after setting, new babies started to appear. This way, already inseparable triplets, always under watchful eye of their mother, had spent their early years all to themselves, in the company of each other, and couldn’t imagine to part their ways in any foreseeable future. But even in their unity, they soon started to see differences between themselves, each one stepped on the path to their fate.
Tumblr media
Julieta, first triplet to see the light, embraced duty of firstborn child seemingly since her infantry. The most empathetic and sensitive, she always provided comfort and care not only for her mother and siblings, but for newborn children all around the growing town, mending their injuries, calming their disturbances, filling for their parents when they had no one to take care of babies while busy with chores, in between helping her mother with household and remaining loving big sister for two siblings, fairly troublesome at times. She never seemed to get tired of her business, despite nobody ever forcing work on her, yet everyone felt defenseless once she came to offer her help, due her irresistible kindness and genuine commitment. No wonder she soon earned title of “everybody’s mother”, spoken discreetly to not cause bashfulness in her. And since she was small, nobody in Encanto ever had doubt that she’s destined to grow up a successor of her mother, future leader of the town and keeper of household of her own. So, inevitably, talks and speculations began to spread out on the matter of her eventual choice for husband, though at the same time, everyone had to admit that, most likely, she will remain too good for whoever daring enough to make move, and even luckiest one bound to face pressure trying to stand on par with her finesse and nobility.
And while people around the town continued to marvel at her maturity, closest ones, her uterine siblings, were able to see beyond it. It could appear that oldest daughter, responsible and sound-minded, would be at complete control of her own feelings and wellbeing, but Pepa and Bruno, typically carefree under the wing of big sister, suspected in secret that her tender heart might turn into her fatal weakness. Worried that one day advantage can be taken of her selflessness, they decided to try and become self-sufficient in order to protect and guard one person who always assured their own safety.
In the end, no one was surprised that on her fifth birthday, Julieta, whose happiness lay in providing security and peace for her encirclement, was granted gift of healing people with her very touch and pieces created with her hands, and gained ability of her own being staying intact and sound in any circumstances, never catching any illness in already safe environment of magically secured town*. But, mused her siblings, this doesn’t mean that her heart is as invulnerable and unbreakable as her physical form, after all, if it wasn’t, she would not be that wonderful loving person they know.
Tumblr media
If you ask about vulnerability and insecurity, Pepa knows it quite well, and anyone who happen to hang around her, gets clear impression of it too. Thankfully, it’s lot easier to hide your internal sensitivity by acting as openly assertive and fierce as possible, so no one can suspect you’re wearing your fragility on your sleeve. Not carrying responsibilities expected from oldest child also comes in handy sometimes. What she lacks in elegance and feminine softness, Pepa makes up for with flashy and visible manifestation of her personality. And it’s indeed a big relief, when in place of twisted stomach, you get small whirlwind, or wake up in your bed soaked wet from simple rain unconsciously created in bad dream, spared from embarrassment. Downside is, you still can’t keep your feelings completely unseen, and cause inconvenience for those around you, but it’s not as bothersome, if you’re don’t get worked up over other’s condition, especially harmless temporary kind.
You can be true family weirdo all you want, especially with support of your utterly ridiculous brother, who appears even more content with himself all the time, your main and often single playmate who effortlessly brushes off your grudges and turn them into laughter. One thing, however, causing distress to bring up around either of siblings, is what you can’t help but notice you are kind of black sheep among the flock: you are evidently not that fine compared to both of your siblings, mild-tempered, petite, cute (no, it’s just sister, Bruno is hideous, naturally!), with pretty dark curls, coffee-colored skin, and gentle deep eyes, all while you stick out like sore thumb with your stupid shaggy red hair, lanky skinny build, and silly face turning hot red at slightest sign of agitation or resentment. And what makes it all so ludicrous and upsetting, none of this could’ve been that much of disadvantage if it didn’t get in the way of your innermost desire – experience of miraculous romance like one that resulted in her own existence, except with guarantee of living happily ever after, and even if not, doesn’t mere opportunity to live through it makes up for all hardships it can bring? If only she was born gifted with everything to be worth of it, something her lucky siblings apparently take for granted and don’t sweat about at all. Brooding about her tragic predicament since she was four, upon entering adolescent years, Pepa completely came at terms with it and concluded that, if her incessant wishing is bound to bear fruit and true love waits ahead, it could be none other but one that accepts her the way she is, seeing all her flaws as virtues (philosophy her brother regards with skepticism, but nobody asked him!). Growing surrounded by miracles, it’s only natural to expect such occurrence of fateful love!
Tumblr media
One can ask, wait, why even worry about what can or can’t happen in future if you have around somebody who can unveil your future for you and get you prepared for inevitability of success or failure? For that, there are two answers. First, precisely because of it. When you have cherished dream in the very core of your soul, possibility of ripping it off of you is lethal, and none of common sense warning you of probable futility of your dream makes ultimate awareness of it less painful. Second, inevitable embarrassment on both sides that comes with entrusting such intimate matter to your brother. Both sisters had agreed to never asking Bruno about details of their future, and all three mutually decided he has right to refuse taking a peek into their personal lives, no matter how desperate they can become to see it. The law remained unbreakable as long as it concerns individual fates of girls and not a necessity of precaution on bigger scope. As for what may lie ahead of himself, very careful experiments involving insignificant requests of closest in time events, proved that, apparently, seer can’t see his own future, neither can he accidentally peep his own involvement in any upcoming events, probably, just because said events generally are none of his business anyway… In any case, experiments ceased here. Doesn’t really matter, what can happen, said he, grinning with reassure, if we stick together through thick and thin. And if it happens so we have to part our ways, it’s only if we manage to find happiness of our own. In any case, we’ll never be lost and unhappy.
Tumblr media
If Julieta’s forte was her graciousness, and Pepa preferred to put her trust into her guts, Bruno was undisputably the brain of three – astute and perceptive, he usually occupied position of observer, but if it called for action, approached it with precaution and ready tools. While his sisters were busy with housekeeping and daydreaming, he utilized free time to performing remained domestic tasks or taking any chance in education on available matters. Even after he received his gift and stable position in community, he wisely figured that work of soothsayer doesn’t demand full-time occupation, so he continued trying various activities with purpose of finding a calling outside of it, and though he proved decent capability in many things, he didn’t feel enough enthusiasm for most of it, but eventually has found that few most satisfying pastimes for him were self-expression via paint and paper, all accessible reading, and taking care of any living creatures in close proximity, most approachable of which turned out to be rodents living in Casita’s walls.
To the chagrin of the kid, he soon become aware of cruel irony of his gift being something that, in the turn of events that would allow him to get a taste of it before his fifth birthday set his destiny in stone, could bring him to decision of wishing something else for said gift, something that would truly encourage him for lifetime of using it. Gaining abilities of animal whisperer, for example, or becoming a magical painter and being able to bring everything he draws to life! Moving paintings, isn’t it exciting? Or maybe ever something more modest than that, like being able to see not through the time, but beyond the mountains, all the way to the remote places he, probably, never going to reach otherwise… But in reality, things turned differently, all because of his own overly pensive mind. Listening to the story of his father’s sacrifice, not for the first time, right before the celebration of his birthday, he, yet again, got so lost in contemplating possibility of safe outcome that could’ve keep the family intact… if only there was a way to prepare for escape in advance, to foresee danger… so these thoughts continued to run circles in his head even when he reached his hand to the doorknob of the shimmering door of his new room. It was not the first time when the house expanded on its own when there was need for it, and it was common occurrence for all life of the kids, what unexpected could happen?..
Of course, he knew since forever, that his position in the family is peculiar, him being single and eventually oldest male member, due to demise of his father, meant certain unspoken obligations. It was never discussed directly, he got not a word about it from his mother, but it was apparent for him – he’s expected to be successor of his father, misty, enigmatic figure, only tangible trace of whom existed in the form of large portrait hanging at the stair’s head on the way to his old nursery, that remained abandoned yet waiting for somebody to come and revitalize it, but in meanwhile, it served as welcoming quiet place for the boy to find occasional resort from all the hustle. The portrait depicted slightly haze image of dignified, sophisticated yet humble looking young man, his face frozen in serene yet somewhat apologetic smile, and the boy who stared at it couldn’t make anything out of it, let alone grasping in that face something he could identify with. His expression, though, it’s somehow reminiscent of big sister, concluded he with wandering smile, as if in response to the painted man. Talking to pictures would’ve been definitely handy… How else I supposed to figure what you wait from me? Portrait also expected something from him, but what it was he had no idea. Only one thing he was certain of, his duty to provide a shoulder his sisters, his family, could lean on, no matter if he ever going to take over mysterious identity of his father or not.
Tumblr media
Although nobody assigned to him the duty of protection, he accepted it wholeheartedly and regarded as his purpose in life as long as it demanded. Sisters were his whole world, or, at least, embodied his major connection to the people. Naturally pensive and, someone could say, timid, he could let himself breath and entrust his worries to his oldest sister, and with middle sister he could unleash childish urge to just run around and enjoying life as kid of his age does. Something he couldn’t even admit to himself, with his big sister, mature and motherly beyond her age, he felt much more at ease than with his real mother, who, he always suspected, silently compared him with his nebulous father at every turn, and he couldn’t shake off the sense of disapproving from her. But Julieta had no such frame of reference, nor she cared if he gets to measure up to figure of Pedro, and loved him as he was, with all her candid heart. And with Pepa, he could not think twice to speak his mind and bother himself with politeness out of fear of causing offence that will remain unexpressed, as she wasn’t someone to bother herself with tolerance and always got back at him, sometimes with things like ball lightning, which didn’t cause much trouble either that couldn’t be mended with his other sister’s curative meals. Though he also had to deal with more grating aspects of Pepa’s personality, her propensity to overreact and involve those around her into the drama she’s main heroine of at the moment, and most tiresome of all, difficulties of consoling her without going through handful of insults in response, all while keeping himself from escalation of conflict (“You only take mercy of me because you’re a doormat!..” – “You’re not going to make yourself pleasant to people by acting like a grouchy hag!”). But all differences aside, one thing that inescapably brought the two together was their shared affection for their little big sister. Pepa could never allow herself to get consumed with envy for her sister’s superior grace, Bruno could never doubt that, if that time comes, he’s going to stand up for his second mother to the end.
Tumblr media
* Remember the fact Pepa’s gift originally was supposed to make her indestructible before authors settled on weather control for her? As I assumed Julieta’s healing gift has potential of giving her immunity to any physical harm as well, it occurred to me, in the universe of movie, the trait could be implicitly passed to Juleta (thus, in a sense, their gifts are switched around in final version). We just can’t see it due its less obvious nature. And because inheritance, same trait potentially can be secondary effect of Luisa’s gift of physical strength.

Danny 100% worries Julieta when it comes to food and healing. Well, it worries everyone who notices, but Julieta especially.
For one, his death scar is there permanently. He can eat all he likes, but whether it’s only visible in ghost form or in both forms, that scar is always going to be there. Julieta’s food has healed wounds old and new, she’s seen scars fade away into nothing, so why isn’t Danny’s doing the same?
Two, his eating disorder. Danny developed a habit of skipping meals for one main reason. He didn’t have the time. Or if you want, you could say that he also doesn’t feel as hungry thanks to his ghost half. So he’d be working on something or doing nothing, his stomach growls loudly, but he doesn’t do a thing to get food. As if he doesn’t even notice his own hunger.
Three, his knowledge of medicine and how to patch up injuries. Don’t misunderstand, it’s a great thing to know these things, but the fact that Danny can and will stitch his own injuries and continue on worries her a lot.

What Tattoos would the Madrigals have?
Sorta a weird post, because presumably these characters are relatively devout Catholics, they absolutely would not ever get tattoos (not to mention we have no idea how much they know about micro-biology so jury’s out on how clean tattoos would be in Encanto). But I saw @teawizard ‘s picture of Bruno doing male thot jobs and it got me thinking. So!
Edit: Oof, this has been in my drafts way too long.
Alma
Hers are low key the most obvious to me. Alma would definitely have a little memorial tattoo for Pedro, and possibly have the triplet’s names. I’m operating under the assumption that she wasn’t born into an important family, so when she becomes La Señora Madrigal she makes an active effort to play the part rather than it coming naturally to her. Which would mean she might get a single tattoo right after losing Pedro, someplace easy for her to cover, then never again.
Agustín
I was going to say Agustín looks like he was raised too fancy to get tattoos even in this hypothetical, but then I actually thought about it a little. He’s supposed to be super accident prone, right? So, I think he’d have a tramp stamp. Hear me out! First time he goes out drinking with friends he discovers he is way more sensitive to alcohol than he thought he’d be. He wakes up with a bunch of blank spots in his memory, a helluva headache, and a sore spot on his back. A week or two later he is getting undressed to take a shower and notices something weird on his back out of the corner of his eye. And there it is! The words “Señor Madrigal” in a heart made out of healing herbs. Inexplicably, there are dolphins either side of the heart. When he asks his friends, he went missing for a while and they eventually found him hours later with his tie and vest off, and his shirt untucked. Biggest problem? He is not yet dating Julieta.
Julieta
In contrast, Julieta had an idea for a tattoo for her entire childhood, but figured she’d never get it because she knew her Má would hate it. She starts dating Agustín (is very amused when she sees his tattoo), then starts arguing with Alma over her boyfriend. In a fit of pique, she decides to get the tattoo whether or not her Má likes it. Even though Alma is annoyed at the tattoo itself, when she sees it she can’t help but like it. It’s essentially Julieta’s own version of the Hippocratic Oath on her left shoulder blade. Pepa makes fun of her because “even when you rebel against mother, you’re so perfect about it”. Eventually, Juli gets a matching tattoo with her siblings. Eventually.
Pepa
Pepa always wanted a tattoo but couldn’t settle on anything until Dolores is born. After that she gets each of her baby’s birthdates tattooed on her ankle. She would also eventually get a matching sibling tattoo.
Félix
Song lyrics, his wedding anniversary, and a tattoo that references his side of the family in some way. Maybe all together to form a sleeve, but more likely to be on his back.
Bruno
Bruno would have a full sleeve of good luck tattoos, and then some. He would have a chicken on one foot and a pig on the other (sailor superstition), on his shoulder blade opposite his sleeve he would have a prayer he likes that he got right before going into the walls. In an ill thought out fit of boredom he would give himself a stick and poke in the walls, the word “leña” on his knuckles (one of the ways to say wood in Spanish, although it looks like people usually use it to say firewood, but “madera” wouldn’t fit on his knuckles). Then when he gets out of the walls and is reunited with his sisters they would get a matching tattoo, the movie hasn’t really shown us enough of their relationship for me to say exactly what, but something meaningful to them.
Isabela
Immediately post movie she would get a sleeve of carnivorous and poisonous plants in order to express her newfound individuality. Later when she’s gotten over the initial high of finding herself, she would get a butterfly or something, something that represents her love for the family.
Dolores
One of Mariano’s poems on the inside of her forearm so she can reread it regularly. And a little lightning bolt right behind her ear, Pepa’s gift probably makes their relationship complicated, so I could see them looking for ways to show they do love each other despite said complications.
Luisa
She would have some sort of inspirational quote on her bicep about hard work, then post movie she would get another on the other arm about remembering to pause and enjoy life every once in a while.
Camilo
Like his mother he’d have a really hard time picking a tattoo, since the creators said they would have included him having slight identity issues if they had the space for it. When he gets on the other side of those issues, he gets those two theatre masks on the inside of his wrist to remind himself not to get too caught up in his own act.
Mirabel
Since she puts so much self expression into her clothes she wouldn’t really get the point of getting a tattoo until post movie when she starts actively building a relationship with Alma and thus gets to learn the town’s history more in depth than before. Then she gets the date the Encanto was established, a picture of the butterfly that was on the candle, and a quote about love conquering all.
Antonio
His back would become a guide to different animal tracks. So there would be the paw print and then right under it a label explaining what animal it goes to, but like all over his back and spilling down his arms when he runs out of room. Since he and the artist wouldn’t be sure how to do snake tracks, he’d have the local snake species circling his ankles and wrists.
