it's already tough bc i'm juggling twelve characters! and sure, not all of them are going to have as much focus as they might deserve (sorry!) but i still want to do them all justice :(

fighting between having marinette be a space player or a light player. void is fun but mostly in relation to her need for secrecy, wouldn't be as useful for sburb growth. like, i'm beginning to think sylph of space is the best for marinette while a witch of light would be good for ladybug. and while this is an au and i have many ideas for it, i don't think i can handle her doing both........

let’s start with coiny first, his classpect was the easier of the two

The Hope aspect is connected to love and trust, positivity like that. It’s the belief that there is a better tomorrow, and that that tomorrow is in reach. When I look at Coiny, I practically see a fountain of Hope. He’s always looking towards the brighter side of things, he’s always got a go-getter attitude, and he absolutely loves his friends!

The Sylph class is meant to understand their aspect and give their opinions on it to others. They are natural-born problem solvers. Coiny does exactly this in BFB 6; when Pin is freaking out over what will happen without Loser, Coiny pretty much tells her not to lose Hope, that even without Loser, the two of them will be able to lead their team to victory. A Sylph of Hope would also tend to be too eager to solve problems and won’t realize when their methods aren’t working, such as in TPOT 2 when Coiny tries to get to Pin in a similar manner, but doesn’t realize he’s making her more upset until it’s too late.

The Space aspect is connected to creativity and intuition, the ability to come up with new ideas and to see the bigger picture. Pin certainly has a good amount of creativity in her; not only is she one of the few characters to have a stated hobby (baking cakes), but she’s quite creative with it too (that Flower cake in BFDI 4 got her quite a few points for her team). Her “Cattle for Dream Island” take on BFDIA’s prize is also quite… creative. Her nature as a leader also requires her to take in her surroundings and figure out what everyone is best at, see TPOT 12. (Also, the Space player in a given session is tasked with breeding the Genesis Frog, quite an important duty for a heroic leader!)

The Rogue class is one that has a supposed lack of their aspect and has trouble coping with it. Pin’s Space aspect is closely tied to her heroic leader persona, something that she has repeatedly been unsure of throughout the later seasons (namely BFB 6 and TPOT 2). The Space aspect is also connected to change, and Pin clearly has an issue with change. She particularly has a problem with holding onto the past, as seen with how many times she brings up wanting to have gone on the swings with Ice Cube.

In terms of your YGO/HS AU, how did the characters get their abilities and roles?

Well let's see:

Yugi Heir of Space As Space player he's responsible for making the genesis frog thus making the new universe. Yugi's quest is to solve puzzles that will ultimately help him breed the right frog. Yami Yugi Prince of Time

Timeline management basically Yami is trying to keep everything form falling apart and turning their session into a doom timeline. Yami isn't aware of it yet but he is form a pre-scratch session which was doomed thanks to Zork's interference causing them to loose their space player. Technically this session wasn't supposed to have a Time player but due to shenanigans they have him and he has to prevent that same event that doomed his original session before.

Joey Knight of Light Joey's luck can be a coin toss for him most of the time but he manages to use his light powers to help him win battles. Light also means knowledge and it's actually Joey who discovers Bakura and Marik are working together to take over their session. When he God Tiers he also manages to make a light saber for himself lol.

Tea Sylph of Hope Tea is basically the healer and morale booster of the group, due to her hope powers she's seen as an obstacle that needs to be dealt with by both Marik and Bakura.

Tristan Mage of Breath Mostly a fighter for the group and doing the windy thing to help out when he can, he's also support for the group.

Kaiba Maid of Rage Emotion has always been one of Kaiba's strengths so for him weaponize his rage and anger into ways to help him win is always a plus for him. He's mostly pissed that to ensure a fruitful session has to relay on both Yugi and Yami for the ultimate prize, but that just means he'll be in charge of taking down the Black King. But things take a bad turn when he realizes Mokuba is also in the session and has gone missing.

Bakura Thief of Life Bakura's main goal is to bring Zork into their session so he can basically destroy all life and prevent a new universe. Bakura is also form the pre-scratch session Yami came form and tagged along with him after the scratch so he could continue with his plan. He begrudgingly helps Marik with his take over plan since he still needs him to complete his own plans.

Ryou Page of Void Ryou was killed right after he entered the session thanks to Bakura, but Ryou's dream self was awakened and managed to escape into the void before Bakura's dreamself could find and kill him there. Ryou sticks to the void and manages to uncover many secrets he uses to help his friends form the shadows.

Marik Witch of Mind Marik entered the session with the intent to over take the entirety of it and rule the new universe as god. He god tiers early enough to gain his full witch powers which he uses to manipulate events to go the way he needs them to. But he gets throwted by Ishizu's interference trying to prevent his take over. Ishizu Seer of Doom Ishuzu enters the session to try and prevent Marik form over taking the session. Her doom powers allowed her to see everyone would die if Marik achieved his goals so she tries to stop each of Marik's attempts to over take the session.

Mai Witch of Heart Mai is also a fighter in their group but she's also trying to help Joey find Serenity whose lost in the session. Once she and and other figure out Marik is behind things, Mai attempts to stop Marik by separating his soul form his body but this leads to Yami Marik coming out killing her and causes a doomed timeline.

Yami Marik Prince of Blood When Marik uses his mind powers to try and prevent Mai form separating his soul form his body it results in Yami Marik taking over and using his blood powers to kill everyone, this forces Yami to destroy the timeline and use his time powers to go back and warn his other self of everything. Serenity ,Odion and Mokuba They aren't player characters they just hope a ride with one of the other players. Odion worked along side Marik to help him but when he dies it causes Yami Marik to come out. Both Serenity and Mokuba hitch a ride on their bother's session but become lost once they enter the medium. They meet up with each other on the battlefield and travel together to try and find their brothers. They end up bonding and becomes close friends, but are both killed by Yami Marik on a rampage.

This causes Kaiba to go Grimdark and attack Yami Marik their fight breaks the battlefield in half which causes more deaths including Joey, Tea, and Tristan. Yami Yugi tries to stop the fighting but is knocked down and out almost killed when Ryou comes in and voids him out of the way. The battle concludes on Yugi's planet where he's thrown into the forge and killed along with his genesis frog. Bakura is able to drain the life form both Kaiba and Yami Marik killing them.

Ryou shares the secrets he's learned form the void to Yami Yugi who uses his time powers to destroy this timeline.

Something is seriously wrong with my session

Everything seems malformed and warped in ways it shouldn't be, god man i just

The imps scream in agony and bleed while ogres slough skin and flesh

The poor prospitians, they were all dying when we entered, some kind of plague from what we could gather, the poor queen was half dead like she was rotting apart

We tried to investigate derse but our rage player never came back so we gave up trying

Im a heir of time this session and its just awful, time feels like its stuttering and stopping before something breaks and it keeps going, on better days it feels like im walking through old syrup

Our space player has been near comatose since we started, if she does talk at all its all just utter nonsense, like her words aren't coming out in the right order

We've all heard of those "haha what if sburb was creepy" crap posts on the forums but this is a nightmare

Its like our session has cancer or some shit, a frog with two heads

Im scared and dont know what to do

Wow, that sounds genuinely awful.

First thing's first, confirm whether or not the Rage player is in fact dead or not. Or "suffered a death versus actually dying". I know that's going to be difficult between your sluggishness and the Space player's comatose status (and who knows what else), but you'll need to figure it out. The next step is going to be a bit difficult, so you'll need all the help you can get. Not to mention, it's always better to figure these things out before making big plans. For all we know Derse is fine and they're just too traumatized to want to leave. Either way, you have two equally undesirable options before you.

Option 1 is to complete the game. This ranges from "difficult" to "untenable" with a low hazard rating. All the enemies seem like they would fall apart with one blow, with the Black King potentially collapsing into a pile of blood and tumors if you hit him once. But at the same time, your group seems pretty disabled. Not to mention, who knows what other aspects of the game are broken. Or if it's even possible to breed a Genesis Frog, between the low quality of the entire universe, and your Space player being out of commission. If you go through with this plan, try contacting your Denizen for help. They're almost always unaffected by shit like this.

Option 2 is scratching the game, which might make things marginally less awful. The downside, of course, being that you're unlikely to survive it unless you do a Ring Voyage. I don't know exactly what happens if you stay in one place while the Session scratches, so I'd play it safe and just skedaddle. The Others should also be unaffected, and you'll need their consent to enter the Furthest Ring. You will, of course, also need a vessel. The Battleships and Meteors are always good choices, but you need to steal or be granted the former, and the Space player (or lots of explosives) to fling the latter. In both cases, I would double-check the physical integrity of both, to make sure no Corruption leaks through (on top of other prep, like getting a Grist stockpile, food, etc.) You'll need some coordination and elbow grease to activate the Scratch Construct, enter your vessel, and then take off before getting caught in whatever happens next. The silver lining is, of course, that once you've left the Session, the fact that Reality Is Shit will stop making you stutter, and will wake the Space player up. They will not be happy to find themselves in another status where Space is non-euclidean or otherwise doesn't make sense, but it's probably better than wherever they are now.

As I said before, two tough choices. You're going to need some willpower for this one.

Knight- Passive Serving class

Space - The aspect of litteral space [IE, Matter, Distance, Size....]. Can be represented by Frogs and Space [like stars. Milky way and all that]

There are two big things that are very important to knights as characters.

One is their masks. You can see this in every knight we interact with, from Dave's obvious mask that is his 'Cool guy' persona, to latula, pretending to think higher of herself than she truly does. This isn't only something that knights do [Rose has a mask of her own that people read as her only character traits, for example], they just do this the most regularly.

The second thing is that their sessions *Lack* the knights aspect, so them being able to serve with it is crucial. IE, the beta kids session always being on a timer due to the tumor.

Knights also seem to have a throughline of truama but its not necessary.

A knight as a space player though, god what a way to be a hugly important part of the session. Like, not only is their job of breeding the genesis frog super duper important to everything, but a lack of space in a session could create alot of predicaments.

last night was a blast! read through the last legs of act 5 oart 2 and started plowing through everything so now im... somewhere after act 6 intermission 1. as usual some thoughts :

-cascade. holy fucking shit CASCADE. i thought the doc scratch panels bit was cool so this blew my fucking tits off (alas it grew back) but i have no idea what the fcuk is going on. i do not have the fandom to help me speculatE. ARGGHHHHH. even everymanhybrid is more digestible than homestuck and thats saying something!!!

but i'll try to parse things. one at a time.

-EVERYONE WENT GOD MODE??

okay okay so. the plan is,

1) john to retrieve the tumor which would blow up the sun

2) so dave would pilot the course and sent it to the green sun and blow it up. this is the plan rose cooked up after consulted doc scratch and the horrorterrors. wait why would they do that? If they want to kill jack they could just use the scratch right?

4) oh wait i remember. The scratch is to reset the universe. The tumor is to act as a homing beacon for the kids to meet up and plan whats next. also jack was kind of omnipotent so the scratch might not even be enough.

5) meanwhile the tumor was prepared, the scratch, found in dave's lava planet, is meant to be scratched by either john or dave using rose's knitting needles

6) meanwhile jade is doing genesis frog breeding, and she consulted with her denizen after a discussion with kanaya. and she found out something that could have been a reason why their universe is so messed up. jade was also given a tip from her denizen echidna of a way to leave the scratched universe and stay alive, but on the condition that her and her planets are brought along.

7) after this is revealed, karkat wails in regret after realizing that he unknowingly gave cancer to the universe. gamzee who have somehow become corrupted claims that it was his doing that sabotaged karkat and kanaya's frog breeding to a dave in the past

8) while jade is juggling the responsibility of trying to do frog breeding even as the end of the world is approaching + trying to save the denizens and their people + keeping bec noir under control, she gets murdered by one of the exiles john sent to give the tumor over a misunderstanding

9) while all of that is happening, the great terezi and vriska showdown happens, and karkat singlehandedly pacified a rampaging gamzee by pats and kisses like its an episode of gumball and darwin. they are now moirails that are off the rails. a knocked out sollux is too busy talking with aradia over the dream bubbles. because a gemini's special Like That™ (GEMINIS REPRESENT)

10) current surviving troll count : terezi, karkat, gamzee, kanaya, sollux, aradia. sollux dies to pilot their hideout to the green sun so theyd get a head start to go to the new session

11) anyway, back to the beta kids. jade is dying. an angry bec noir flies her over so she could die in her quest bed. using the time capsule, an angry bec traveled to the exile's future timeline and killed everyone. he also uses his omnipotence as a first guardian to spread the cancer on the universe, the red miles, causing its destruction. he donuted my boy WV. and so to avenge everyone and defend herself, PM becomes the new white queen and she gets bec noir's powers too.

12) while jade is taking her time dying from the stab wound, the derse kids got the tumor and is trying to pilot it to the green sun on a suicide mission. dave was supposed to do it, but rose knocked him out so she could do it alone. yet he still followed her, and they both end up on the same ship and found their quest bed, and the realization of their imminent death finally sinks in.

13) as the universe is imploding on itself, they found out a strange machine. The machine shows two universes, the left out remains of alternia and earth. apparently it all has been a trick all along from doc scratch. The tumor, piloted to a course between universes because its heading to the green sun, caused the destruction of the two universes and subsequently, the death of rose and dave. But it does not destroy the sun. So, the trolls arrived at a not exploding sun, and both the derse kids went god tier.

14) meanwhile, before dave and rose's epic showdown, jade went god mode too, fuses with her sprite, and found out a way to escape the doomed universe to the new session. her new powers of omnipotence made her capable of saving all of the planets and its denizens and brought them along with her on the ride to the new session. she brought john along as well, after he fully completes the scratch

15) so. the gang, they finally met up. sort of. theyre heading to the new session and it would took them three years to arrive. dead sollux decides to go back to his dead friends in the dream bubble. aradia, as the maid of time, has some shit to do so she had to leave as well. wv is dying but there might be a way to save him (THANK GOD) rose and kanaya continued making heart eyes at each other but this time its even worse since they do it in person. karkat suffers out of his own hubris and wishes he was dead.

16) with the universe reset and destroyed, it brings the arrival of lord english from doc scratch's corpse. so, there is no guarantee this new universe is safe since a demon presides in it. The gang plans to arrive in the new session and defeat lord english in person.

Is that it? Is that all? There was a lot of information and it was pretty hard to follow. If im not distracted by the art im distracted by the music. For real the music is very very good. Its crazy that homestuck starts out from silly chiptune music and evolves into epic bangers like cascade. And the art, my god. they all look so anime. the faces are beautifully expressive. i love how everyone's clothes design gets an upgrade and even more details in that style. its appropriate for the gravity of the situation. also shout out for the backgrounds. i always loved the hyperrealistic images but the strategic lighting on this one is great.

and i understand why the fandom are insane about them. like, my current type nowadays is old and weird looking guys but i just knew teen me would have realized he's bisexual much earlier if she sees anime karkat and kanaya's cascade design at the tender age of thirteen.

-ANYWAY. Holy fucking shit! can we talk about jade? I dont care. WE'LL TALK ABOUT JADE. i knew she had the potential man. i knew it. she literally kickstarted the rescue mission of the citizens and save john and helped diagnose the problem of their universe and- SHE'S AWESOME. SHE'S THE BEST!!! she's so op and amazing and im taking her to those super expensive haagen daz ice cream because she's powerful and she cares about the citizens on the planets just as she cares for her friends and she stays positive despite the trolls badgering. i hope she had a great three years befriending everyone and catching up on stuff with davesprite and john :) she's the coolest

-also, wow. must have been weird being davesprite. you spent three months with your half sister trying to do the impossible, went back in time to see everything kickstarted to fruition while you get sidelined after doing the epic duel of all time with your brother against an omnipotent assasin. you saw him die, and then youre just kinda there chilling and giving tips for alpha dave and occasionally consoling jadesprite. and then she disappears, and you see her save everyone's ass while youre just sitting there and now you didnt get to die. you are going to spend three years becoming well acquainted to approximately a million people + jade and john. also your alt self went god mode but somehow you didnt fuse with him.

-and speaking of doc scratch. jeez. the reveal that the virus from the troll pov chapters is the one that bring lord english in is fuckin insane. we already know he and his lackey doc scratch was subtly manipulating all of the trolls from either direct manipulation of subconcious dream fuckuppery. the reveal that a karkat suffers gag was actually a doc scratch plot and the transformation of his dead body. FUCK.

yknow, his thing with little girls. i really thought it was one of those fucked up shit that are glossed over that hussie does, like the slurs. there is this phenomenon in media of chivalrous pervert whose sexual harrasment are played off as gags or not too important to his standing as a person because in the end they actually respects woman in a way that matters or do a lot of good. i see this a lot in ecchi anime and modern edgy sf lit. and personally i find it fucking stupid and unrealistic. why is every single black and grey morality hard sf stories had to make their token evil teammate a sexual abuser like COME THE FUCK ON. there are better crimes to use that will lead your fandom to less discourse and less out and proud misogynists. so i guess it suprises me that doc scratch's weird thing with little girls arent played as just a joke and his "helpful tips" are actually his way to manipulate the kids while toying with them. its a pleasant surprise i suppose?

i do feel bad for aradia's ancestors though. her life must be rough. did she really die getting murdered by feferi's ancestor? or is she somewhere else right now? the trolls ancestors are reallly fucking me up. but mostly karkat. he really is troll jesus! I know what classpecting is but I saw the witch of time Yen knight of blood Geralt post now I'm curious what Jaskier's would be

mostly i didnt add him because i was literally falling asleep as i made the post and didnt want to keep myself up, but also because im stuck at a bit of an impasse on what i'd classpect him as.

explanation of geralt yen and ciri classpecting for the next four paragraphs, jaskier explanation at the end, sorry its so long

im fairly sold on knight of blood for geralt, because not only does it just Sound very Him, knights are known to have a facade they show to the rest of the world to hide deeper inner turmoil, and blood is the aspect of connections, and he is literally at the center of a vast web of connections (the hansa, the witchers of kaer morhen, the family he creates with yen and ciri) which he has to work at various times to maintain and keep healthy, despite the way he thinks he's not suited for it, the way he expects to be hated, and in fact the times where he's genuinely in over his head. he's both challenged by, and inherently suited for this post, which is a very Homestuck Classpect thing. not to mention how deeply he feels bonds once they form, and how far he'll go to protect them.

i mostly made yen witch of time because while geralt is the much needed glue to hold their little family together, she is vital for the teaching and mentoring of ciri in a different way, she's a very powerful figure in her own right, and time is one of the two aspects that is absolutely necessary for a viable session. i don't know how much the classpect suits her personally, but it's a very necessary and powerful role, and i could easily see it being one of seclusion, where one thinks they know it all and so they'll make and guide through their plans and their timeloops, and the others ought to simply go where they lead, and yen making plans and not telling others the details seems to be a running theme. in fact that may make her even more suited to be the /mage/ of time, but, like i said, i was falling asleep, and a witch just sounded more right simply because she's a witch/sorceress in canon lol.

ciri as witch of space is most up in the air, i could see her being a lot of other classes, but space is the other aspect that a session literally cannot be viable without. even more important than time, without a space player to breed the genesis frog, your session will never give birth to life, and all of the game is doomed with no win conditions. this makes ciri a player that is incredibly important and sought after, but mostly due to the fact that she'll have a potent role in breeding-- something unfortunately true in canon as well, where she's sought after for the fact she's said to one day give birth to a fatedly important man. on top of that, some classes suffer from an abundance of their aspect, and one of the ways ciri suffers is through space; an abundance of it keeping her from the people she cares about, who care about her, who would want to keep her safe and loved and looked after. one who suffers from space and yet uses space to appear where needed, teleporting and yet never able to be near loved ones and always seeming to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, suffering and yet giving birth to something vital should she fulfill her destiny, or leaving a new world to rot as she shucks what the gods plan in order to live with those who really matter to her. seems very ciri to me, mostly i gave her witch as a way of inheriting the title from yennefer. a class that is somehow a middleground between yen and geralt while still being active, and one that inspires suffering through its aspect, would be more suited for her but again i was falling asleep.

the reason also that they three have these specific classpects is a way of making them viable as a small three-person session. time and space are needed, but if it were only yen and ciri they would be a lord and muse, and i dont want to leave geralt out. if it was literally them and only them in sburb, time and space are non-questionable. and geralt doesnt strike me much as either sort of player. ciri COULD transcend rules and be dual-aspected, i suppose, since canonically she's the lady of time AND space in the witcher universe, but that feels a little too fanon-y to me and im not into it. so in the case of a three person session, yen would have to be time while ciri would be space, and geralt just seems a blood player to me.

now. here we get to jaskier. first of all, introducing more players means that yen's classpect gets called into question. suddenly she doesnt HAVE to be a time player, since others are open for the role, others who personalities might be more suited for it. but also being a time player makes you Very Important, and im hesitant to remove that plot relevance from her character. onto jaskier himself: its actually tempting to make HIM the [class] of time, because time is often associated with music in homestuck. dave has his turntables, aradia her music boxes. time is the rhythm of reality, and when you're tuned into the beat, that's what gives you control of it. so a musician seems very leaning towards that role. you could even make him a bard! bard of time is a valid classpect. but bards in homestuck dont fit the same role as bards the career. and honestly i kind of agree with that one classpecting post i read that said bards are the author's puppets in homestuck. bards as we've seen them in the series kind of just do what's needed for plot contrivance, and i dont think jaskier is THAT useless. a bard of time almost makes sense for him based on other classpecting, where theyre a role of whimsey and joy, and time having musical associations. but i think it makes him too plot-central and leaves him with too little agency, it kind of reduces him in a way i dont think suits him. also, i dont think i want him to wear a codpiece and a cone-shaped hat! sorry, im bringing aesthetics into this

ignoring gendering the classes, i could see him as a rogue, page, or sylph. all classes generally thought of as passive. rogues steal [their aspect] to distribute to the rest of their team, while suffering from an abundance of [aspect], like roxy(rogue of void) suffering from blackouts due to her excessive reliance on alcohol. sylphs are thought of in fanon as a healing class, healing others through [aspect], like the sylph of light healing psychological wounds by helping people "See the light". and pages are thought of as weaklings who suffer from a total lack of [aspect], but who become the most powerful characters once they grow. the trouble is getting them to grow at all. like tavros, who couldve been powerful, but spent a lot of his time stagnant or lead astray, "growing" in ways that were actually regressive for him. (ive seen arguments about how to define a page but shhhhh ive already typed so many words).

rogue of heart might be a good classpect for him. he steals people's love though his wondrous lute playing, but suffers from a lack of ability to feel that love himself, whether because they dont return his feelings, or because he has difficulty actually feeling that love in return. but heart is also linked to personality, sense of self, etc, and jaskier doesnt strike me as one that deals with confusion about his sense of self.

a sylph of heart would potentially be similar to a rogue of it, healing others through love, but again, im not entirely convinced heart suits him. as a sylph of life he might live life to the fullest, and inspire those around him to do so as well!....sometimes to their own detriment.

i dont know what draws me to page. i certainly dont think he's the most strong or valued player on the field, which is what i like about him, and giving him a class that says "you'd kick everything's ass if only you unlocked your potential" doesnt do it for me, though i guess if we relegate him to being forever stunted, or make him highest "goal"/"best self" one who's incredible talents dont lie at the heart of getting ahead in the game, perhaps it would work better. tavros DID excel when vriska wasnt trying to make him something he wasnt, he just didnt excel at the parts that were, like, winning the game.

there's plenty of aspects, too, that i think could suit him. heart, in his ability to sway the hearts of others. life, for his vivacity, the way he starts with abundance(a viscount, being born into royalty is a very common life player thing), the way he suffers from rules and constraints.

but ultimately, i think breath would be an interesting aspect for him. breath is easygoing, blowing from place to place, with no interest in being tied down. breath is whats in your lungs when you tell a story, its what carries each note from your lute to someone's ears. its associated with protagonists and jokesters, and while he isnt the former he does have the plot armor of one, and he can most certainly be the latter. caught up in whims, letting himself be pulled by the force of the story, his deepest connections forged by the knight of blood who so quickly saw him and grew close to him, without asking him to compromise his flighty ways.

but at the same time, his flightiness sometimes hurts him. he gets into trouble when he blows things off, when he gets too full of hot air, when he cant seem to stop talking. he cant find just one love, darting from one partner to the next, too free to be pinned down like a butterfly on a board. he sometimes suffers from an abundance of freedom, though there's nowhere he'd rather be than the open road, on the next great adventure, sat beside his closest companions. i think he would be a rogue of breath.

HELLO. do u remember is dsmp when eret decided to make a faction against the egg and named it the knights of hope and puffy was one of them. puffy also used to be one of eret’s knights way back in the beginning as well LIKEEE. shes constantly trying to protect people she’s defensive she helps people she pours her entire being into the things she cares about. she’s so knight coded. there’s no other class for her i think. also the fact that it’s always eret who she’s the knight of. something something the unbreakable relationship between the space player and the knight who helped breed the genesis frog and the universe being built from their two hands etc etc. also remember her during the banquet after cfoolish was killed. i think if cpuffy had been allowed to shine during lore more like that she could have either fucked shit up or maybe fixed the entire server ngl. she’s THAT powerful i think. genuinely. she was so determined to make things better and if she’d been allowed to she could have gone down two paths: knocked some sense into everyone and rallied them all against a common enemy (cdream) and gotten rid of the biggest problem on the server, or snapped and set off the nukes herself in a wave of unbridled frustration. a knight of hope is a very powerful thing yk. and if cpuffy couldn’t reach her full potential in dsmp then BY GOD I WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN IN DREAMSTUCK.

Anyways moving on this post will be about GLaDOS I had a bit of trouble with her, but I think I did okay all things considered GLaDOS: Witch (active changing/manipulation class) of Time Keywords and symbols for the Time aspect again stating some of these won't apply and are similarites found in canon Homestuck Time players this is just for aid in understanding for non-Homestucks, some of these were found by others and some are what I see. Anyways these keywords and symbols are Tamper, Change, Destruction, Determination, Willpower, Spite, Hunger, Death, Mechanisms, Material Reality, Inevitability, Endings, Conflict, Raw Function, Heat, Meat, Tempo, Death, Abstractness, Meta, Velocity, Clocks, Action, Impel, and Coninuinty Extra bit on class it's very important that she's a Time player because a Time player and Space player will breed the genesis frog together this frog is the universe and in breeding it a new universe not destroyed by the game (Sburb/Sgrub) is created. Sadly we don't have a Space player so far hopefully that will be fixed (UPDATE WE HAVE A SPACE PLAYER JUST WAIT I WILL POST IT) Derse Dreamer Strife Specibus (weapon): I'm not sure yet, I know what she'd prefer so I'm going with chemicalkind in general (Like how all swords, knives, and bladed weapons fall under bladekind) however to give her something I am looking intently at mustard gas (because of what it does and the fact there is no antidote for it) Typing colour: #e0a735 (Colour picked from her eye also compared against Dirk's typing colour for reasons of I think it would be interesting to put them in the Alpha timeline fairly similar but there is enough of a difference) Typing Quirk: Her typing quirk is like her name so all capital except a’s, then perfect syntax in whatever language she’s typing in, uses slashes to denote sarcasm so like /insert whatever here/, and uses square brackets to denote action so [insert action here]. Her planet is Land of Depletion and Dials and the Denizen is Hemsut (I forgot to mention it in Wheatley's but, all Denizens are named after deities or mythological beings) She has to learn the rules and systems in place on her planet in order to use it to her advantage, it is a planet filled with delpleting life and sun dials with main colours of grey and gold, she has to awaken the Denizen (who is named after a goddess of fate and protection) to bring life back to the planet. Like with Wheatley I could attempt to sketch her planet if that's desired and show images on Pinterest I have saved for it

OH MY LORD OKAY I FORGOT SOMETHING so I don't have trickster mode versions of the others I do for her though. Some background for non-Homestucks I'm not sure how to explain it but, basically it takes away all emotions but, happiness and makes, you want to get others all in trickster mode, and have no filter so you're just saying everything on your mind. For physical changes lots of colour especially bright colours and a little thing on in your hair/on your head such as cotton candy, orange soda, a cupcake, or a pumpkin example using trickster!Roxy:

GAHHH I LOVE ALL OF THIS THANK YOU!!!! I wasn't TOO surprised about all the davejade hate mostly because girl in the way of gay ship is a cardinal sin(apparently??) and the epilogues did NOT help matters. Plus theres all the Jade plot being shoved to the side in canon on top of fandoms general idea that bi characters can say theyre bi but if they express attraction to the opposite gender theyre no longer?? Bi?? idk about all of it but the point is I was SO glad to see a fellow davejade shipper,, our community is small but mighty.

Anyways all that to be said Im gonna try to give this the same amount of effort!(still so happy seeing this giant ass response to my ask like!!! i win. ive won) Also...This is not going to be near as comprehensible as yours is the tagents are immense, just a warning.

1. Frog breeding

Ok first off I gotta say that I love the flower breeding analogy going on here it really does help put the genesis frog mission into perspective!!

Its definitely... very odd how they didnt really elaborate on anything that happened with that mission. Honestly during my first readthrough I didnt see ANY of it. And this was mostly because I read the entire comic in one sitting and at that point was a little tired and didnt realize I was supposed to click on the pictures, plus I just didn't notice the banner(which I typically still dont, and have to go back everytime I get to it). I think a big issue the webcomic has for me is that while it is rather long it tends to put the focus on the wrong things.

We've got things explained through sprite prototyping, the sylladex, and moduses. A lot of the games mechanics are explained in an insane amount of detail, and yet, one of the most important aspects of the game(quests, genesis frog). I mean, Rose doesn't even get to look into the quest at all. Unlike most forms of media Homestuck doesn't any sort of time limit--no season deal, chapter limit, nothing tying it to being a certain length. Thats why its able to have extended wacky hijinks! And while I do appreciate the slow silly parts, or at least, I know that the parts I find boring someone appreciates, theres also a lot of unutilized space for them to actually SHOW us the important parts they left out. And yes, Im saying homestuck shouldve been longer. This is the hill I will die on.

Anyways, all that being said the whole idea of Dave constantly groundhog day-ing the game, reliving the same hour or minute over and over to make the game successful is just... SUCH an interesting concept. Not to point out the sollux parallels but pulling double-duty is something of a theme with him.

The day itself is a constant. The trolls pester them at the same times no matter what, John goes off on his own to godtier, Rose destroys her planet and goes grimdark, and Jade works to create the new universe. People die when they have to, they do what they have to, and he can't do anything more than preserve the best course of action. Even if that means Jade has to kill the first person she's seen since she was four, even if that means He can't hug her before she has to do it. Again the CONCEPT is wonderful, and we hear other characters tell us about it, with karkat mentioning her freakout and dave mentioning how he didn't want to upset her, but we're never SHOWN it.

Number one priority in a hypothetical alt comic, let these touch starved kids hug

2. Davejade vs Jack

If I'm being honest here, the dynamic with Jack Noir and these two is just...so underutilized. They had Jade fight the two superdogs in the finale. Well...fight as a loose term here, in all honesty she flew around for a bit before getting punched into the ground, but in general while all the beta kids have a connection, narratively Jade and Dave have the biggest to me. For jade theres the obvious connection with Bec, all three are tied via the first gaurdian, abilities and care for one another, and I do genuinely like the weakness they gave Jack in that he just. Cant hurt her. Dave's connection is through Jade, with their first fight in the banner and my personal favorite fight sequence with him defending her in the game over timeline.

It just...felt like these two things were introduced, the idea that every time they meet he dies, the whole self sacrificial situation he keeps putting himself in and the tragedy of hypothetical survivors guilt even if hes still alive. One of many plot points introduced with no real conclusion because they never really TALK about it. Personally I would've loved to see her genuinely fight Jack. Maybe she teams up with Peregrine against Jack or maybe she just kicks ass on her own idk. Let her get revenge!! Or maybe even...idk....show the freakout after he dies? You know? Because if something big happens that has a heavy effect on one of your main characters you should...show it?

3. Grimbark

I'm not gonna lie...grimbark makes no sense to me. Grimdark in general makes no sense to me, especially in the context of Jade versus Rose. With Rose, it was the overtaking of a great darkness, a loss in humanity and a sole focus on rage and destruction powered by grief. While she'd been destroying the game prior to this, slowly allowing herself to succumb to the horrorterrors in a misguided effort of finding information, the death of her mother causes the big switch in her completely abandoning restraint and forethought.

It manifests in her being unable to speak, at least in that of any human language. She's angry and focused on nothing else but her revenge against Jack, a decision that leads to her demise.

In contrast to hers Jade is perfectly capable of speech, her 'switch' is triggered by the Condencse without any emotional reason(which is a small gripe, I'm fine with the mind control situation. However it would've been a little nice if there had been a prior snap moment for her that allowed for the grimbark thing to happen). She too acts violently without speaking, in this case to serve the Condensce's will. However I think the issue here is that unlike Jane's robo-mind control, grimdark never really felt completely divorced from the character. Jade in her grimbark form is just...so fundamentally different from Jade that I can't even imagine a scenario in which she would be pushed to act like that.

Personally I would've enjoyed a more emotional shutdown situation. Witches and Seers are(not sure if canon or not but in general) very opposite classes. Witches are a class that takes action while Seers are the ones to plan. So for Jade instead of a one track mind of grief induced rage, maybe it's cold calculation, brought on by constant isolation. Jade's been through a lot, and even in the game over timeline where Davesprite is there and John's alive she still seems...lonely.

And during the game over plotline I kind of would've liked to see Jade successfully get revived! First off because for a proper retcon where each group has its own issues leading up to the final battle, having all three perspectives present(Terezi for the meteor, Roxy for the alphas, Jade for the ship, and then John going through with all the plans) would be helpful...I also just want some sort of reaction to his death. It's the second time it's happened and maybe then we'd have an opportunity to *see* how that had hurt her the first time. Eventually I wanna write out an alt game over situation...give this girl sme FOCUS! she deserves it!

4. Music!!

[cracks knuckles] ok. so I actually have a lot of thoughts on this. First off, that post has been living in my mind, cat rotating in microwave style for a hot minute(btw seeing you reblog my tags,,, I keep winning >:000!!!). Second off music theory and music in general is a bit of an obsession of mine so imma elaborate way more than is really necessary.

Their band name is SpaceTime Continuum. The opportunity is right there, how can you NOT. I absolutely love the idea of lead vocals\woodwinds jade and the robots being bass and guitar respectively. And I said this before but Dave is so percussion to me. That man is BUILT for the drums let him POP OFF!!

But also I love the idea that like...during the three year timeskip they both react to the boredom by learning new instruments. And then they meet up after everythings said and done and they're like wait..we both ended up learning instruments that compliment each other really well. So like, Dave picks up the drums of course, and a bunch of other percussion based instruments, but then it'd also be fun if he like...picked up the trombone or something. He seems like a brass guy to me. Also...lowkey seems like an acoustic guy to me. Like he's chords/fingerpicking on acoustic to Jade's melodies and badass solos on electric! And the further complimenting going on in that she's a bass player that matches well with percussion(linking song here as an example to the fuckery they could do here)

And then more with woodwinds and brass matching well together like they naturally gravitate towards things that compliment!! Also vocally I like the idea of duets, her taking the lead vocally while Dave does harmonies. As far as general sound SOLELY for vocals not so much for vibes the Civil Wars comes to mind(dave cannot escape the country vibes).

And the time player powers can and SHOULD be exploited for the sake of harmonies the possibilities are endless here.

When it comes to character arcs them being in a band would be good for them…they both have a love for making music, sure, but also it would give Jade the connection she’s never been able to have before. For me there’s not greater connection to someone than to jam out on some musical collaboration. My best friendships are made through people who I sing with. Then for dave, being raised for the express purpose of battle, being able to completely divorce from that and do something thats just…fun, that doesn’t serve any greater purpose. It’d be!! So good!

First off!!! Hello fellow davejade enjoyer i see you. Second off—what sort of things do you wish you could’ve seen with these two in canon :0. Could be expansion on canon scene, arc direction, or just a new scene entirely. for me personally I would’ve loved to see some genuine fighting collaboration going on. I felt VERY teased with all the magic combo’s in collide.

Third! I know they do a lot of music collaboration in canon, and I’ve seen some things with them making a band together post canon. What sort of sound do you think they’d have/what artist do you think they’d sound like?

this post is swan dive into homestuck meta and took me over a day to write. so i would appreciate feedback or discussion on this if you'd like, reblogs appreciated!

despite this question being posed as davejade related, my answers here are actually relevant for anyone interested in homestuck meta as well.

it’s just recently come to my attention that there are a a handful of people on twitter who are vocal davejade dislikers. i didnt know it was actually disliked until i looked it up on twitter, i honestly thought it was a joke blown out of proportion but no they exist! it surprised me a lot to see people think they "lack chemistry". not only because knowing what i know about them thats a ridiculous insinuation, but also i haven't seen the vitriol on tumblr. probably because we can actually poast about it on here in an unabridged manner which thus enables better, deeper critical analysis and engagement with the media. i think also people forget that dave strider is canonically bisexual and are too yaoipilled + facing the consequences of the epilogues to even give davejade a serious look/analysis. (dave dates terezi and karkat in separate timelines, thinks jane is hot, thinks roxy is a babe but shoves it down when he discovers she’s his ectomom lmfao. davesprite—an extension of dave himself—dated jade! but i'm going to cover that in more depth in this post since theres a lot of misunderstandings about the nature of that relationship in fanon.)

(as a side note according to what some people have told me in inbox and what ive seen lol i think that ive been inadvertently been getting people into davejade. it's all in my davejade tag here in chronological order if you'd like to get a Whiff. be sure to read the tags on posts in there too!)

i think a huge chunk of the issue has to do with how the narrative handles dave and jade. one of the most damning things to me is how glossed over their canon interactions were in act 5 despite them collaborating on one of the most important things in the story. i haven't talked about this yet but i'm going to do so here. because they’re put on the backburner by the focus of the narrative during act 5, people who don’t read carefully will miss the implications that are there all along in canon but easily passed over.

1. Jade’s Quest: What Frog Breeding Entails

this is an analysis examining apart exactly what jade and dave did while frog breeding. i wrote it while high which was extremely enlightening and it allowed me to comprehend it and hopefully explain it in an understandable way. i also discuss how shitty the lack of on-screen communication between jade and dave was for this part and the next.

2. Jade & Dave vs. Jack Noir

ive discussed this one before on my blog so it's not as dense (see davejade tag). but i still sewed the gifs together and discuss how unfortunate this was to be be delegated to a banner at the top of mspa and the neglect of that whole arc despite the outcomes of it being reissued by characters thousands of pages later

3. Davesprite and Grimbark Jade

i get into davesprite's head here and try to make his motivations about the breakup clear to the extent that i can infer because jesus fuck i love these characters way too much ive known them for a decade i understand their core personality structures and why they think what they do and what is most likely to happen when extrapolating. not to toot my own horn btw .. but what im saying is i am confident in my interpretation based on canon. i also talk about how grimbark jade changed the way the fandom perceives their relationship, leaving davejade on a low note instead of a high note. and then hs epilogues had even worse consequences for davejade but i wont get into it because it was character assassination all around and doesnt deserve my time or yours. but if you wanna know what i think, here

4. The music question

where actually answer this ask like it's an ask and not an essay

1. Jade’s Quest: What Frog Breeding Entails

i wish we could have seen what collecting frogs entailed for the two of them. what exactly were they doing? jade’s quest is one of the most interesting.

before i start i want to take a tangent and say the frog breeding reminds me of back in 2020-2021 when i would breed hybrid flowers in animal crossing new horizons to get a very specific gene sequence for these flowers to not only use to breed for hybrids, but to get known gene sequences that i could use to “check” the genes of other flowers. the goal is to get two parent flowers whose sequences when bred would make a specific phenotype 100% of the time.

this sounds complicated but here’s what i did for the lilies:

(“rare island” refers to one of the first acnh patches that removed a nook miles island from the pool that had hybrid versions of your native flower of very specific phenotypes for each color. i wrote out the breeding chains to get parents that would always breed that exact flower found on the rare hybrid nmt island that is no longer available.)

the cleanup ALL TO GET the white 2-2-2 lily looked like this. and after i got white 2-2-2 lily it was smooth sailing

after all that i could use the orange 2-2-0 lilies and white 2-2-2 lilies made in the black lily process and get rare island orange 2-2-1 lilies 100% of the time. in mendelian genetics these numbers (2-2-1) are quite literally RR-YY-Ww.

RR-YY-ww (orange) x RR-YY-WW (white) = RR-YY-Ww (orange: heterozygous Ww gene)

and all that effort into getting white 2-2-2 lilies enables me to get it over and over again now. i don’t have to repeat that process to get rare island pink lilies. all i need to do for the pink 2-0-2 lilies is breed two default bag red lilies (2-0-1) together. 50% will be red (2-0-1) lilies, 25% will be black 2-0-0 lilies, and the last 25% will be pink (2-0-2) lilies.

anyway sorry back to the main point. FROG BREEDING. it just reminded me of it. now that i think of it the frog breeding process also reminds me a lot of artbreeder back from when AI was only a fun little toy 4-5 years ago

ok so have a look at what kanaya says about what jade must do. this is the coolest quest imo because of how it progresses and how long it actually is

here’s how it works. remember back in act 2, when the wayward vagabond needed to tie a longer cable to descend down the ship (and refused to give up the ones that made up his mayoral sash)? he used the appearifier in the ship to appearify the extra cable across the gap to his location? that’s how the appearifier normally works when when it’s locked to the present. it’s very straightforward.

when jade appearifies a frozen frog, it shows us this exact thing. she appearified the actual frog itself (the same way WV appearified the actual cable across the gap) to her exact location. it can get the frog out of the ice in the way WV could untrap serenity from the amber. if something’s destiny wouldn’t otherwise be changed, it will not be paradoxified, it will just simply itself be warped to that location, with precise carving if it is somehow trapped inside of something else.

if you could appearify it to your location right now, you wouldnt be able to take it out the appearifier’s crosshairs in person later to alter its destiny because the object won’t be there at that time. it wouldve been with you the entire time. unless you decide to take the appearified item back to that location so that you could appearify it in the past, but that’s the most pointless time loop ever and doesn’t change its destiny.

for this icicle frog jade and dave weren’t capable of changing its destiny anyway, because it was completely encased in ice, and just didn’t bother to go after it. partially because it was with jade at the appearifier the entire time anyway and she can’t exactly put it back in there in the future. the point is, besides jade appearifying it to her location, the frog had no other possible routes of destiny. in that part of lofaf where she appearified the frozen frog from, the ice is too deep to get anything out of it (other than appearifying it) and i’m not sure the forge would have melted it in time before their reckoning ended anyway.

the goal of jade and dave is to target frogs on the appearifier screen and trust that their future selves follow through in altering the frog’s destiny. if so, then the frog’s paradox slime will appear instead and its genes would be collected in addition to creating offspring between multiple paradox clone frog genes. then, dave and jade would necessarily have to go out adventuring and find the frog so that they end up following through for their past selves.

if i understand correctly, jade is creating all the frogs on her planet that grow up with manually modified genes. these frogs must be genetically altered from their parents so that the frogs she creates don’t grow up to become one of their parents (as they’d be identical). the mutant offspring frogs “generation A” she ectobiologizes will eventually mature from tadpoles to frogs, assisted by dave’s time travel. then she will eventually target “generation A” with the appearifier to get their paradox slime to fuse with some other frogs’ paradox slime and create new slightly altered frogs “generation B” (and then follow through on altering the “generation A” frogs’ destiny so their slime and genes can be paradoxified by jade and dave’s past selves). repeat until the genes are fine tuned for the genesis frog.

this is why i compared it to my breeding in animal crossing. getting the genesis frog reminds me of the blue rose paths. i worked with the garden council back in the day and i used backwardsN’s “cesspool” method, except i honestly gotta say my white 2-2-2 lily thing was much more involved and carefully maneuvered in a way that i imagine frog breeding is more like. backwardsN’s “genepool method” was basically making a red-orange-black rose primordial soup and waiting for a blue rose to emerge out of it, just increasing the chances seeing a blue rose sprout the next day after watering with each generation of offspring. you KNOW my ass was using time travel, even if i happened to get lucky and got a blue rose without even finishing the big turtle plot. without time travel, most players (95%) will get their first blue rose before these # of days. (open up advanced tag)

there must be so many daves running around to help her going back in time all within the span of a few hours while still having their own linear, older timelines that are much longer than the “time stage” they’re actually functioning in. this sounds complicated but it’s not. think of this “time stage” as analogous to the 3 days until the moon falls in majoras mask. it’s the “time window” all the time travel takes place within, but link doesn’t become a day younger when he travels to a day ago. the timeline of his “self” is older but is kept within the confines of the 3-day timeframe. similarly, in tears of the kingdom, two master swords exist simultaneously for most of history, but the one on the light dragon’s head (who was above the cloud barrier before the upheaval btw) is further ahead on its own linear timeline: it starts as the other, pre-gloomed master sword → broken by gloom → sent to the past to be repaired → renewed over time, existing at the same time on the “time stage” as its own pre-gloomed past self but ahead on its own linear timeline

now imagine this but within the “time stage” of just a few hours on 4/13/2009. kanaya says frog breeding ordinarily takes weeks. multiple daves can exist simultaneously because they’re operating in the same few-hour-timeframe but one can linearly be days ahead of another. it’s the exact same thing as breeding flowers in animal crossing for irl days but to your game it’s whatever date you have it set to. your irl progress isn’t lost if you go back a few days in settings. i’d often find a week in june to use as a “time stage” to loop through when it would rain at least one hour on each day of that week which would save me the hassle of watering my flowers every day before time traveling to the next.

it must’ve sucked for dave to hear jade say the same things over and over again. the novelty probably wore off pretty fast lol…… dave says he saw his future self fighting and dying to jack and knew that’s what he’d eventually have to do as well. every single dave at all points of his linear timeline understood that and it probably settled something horrible into his heart.

im imagining during the original run dave was thinking to himself: “im bored but cant alter anything about this without creating a doomed timeline. if i dont see my future self hugging jade then i cant hug her even though i really fuckin want to. note to future self: hug jade. aww shit look at me go guess i remembered. hell fucking yes cant wait for that to be me in a few hours” and gives a thumbs up

future dave pov, hugging jade and watching his past self give him a thumbs up from afar thinking to himself: “ahaha i remember exactly what i was thinking there” and gives a thumbs up

but anyway. goddamn. JADE AND DAVE. what did hussie do to you.

this is a goddamn atrocity.. what the hell man. i wish we could have at LEAST seen the text file jade sent to kanaya. we got to see ConversationWithAVeryStupidGirl.Txt but not daveisafunnyguy.txt?

and like, yeah that is pretty funny? but i feel like the single laugh this gives me is nothing compared to the joy i wouldve gotten out of seeing what dave has to say about the cloning apparatus for ants here and talking himself into circles about frog procreation enough to make not just gigglehouse jade laugh, but kanaya too

we spent so much time learning about the mechanics of the punch designix and hardly anything about creating the seed of the actual new universe. we learn about it through kanaya and karkat messaging jade, instead of dave and jade working that out through SHENANIGANS. even though this is JADE AND DAVE'S session. it’s fine that kanaya is helping them, as she should, but we’ve seen parallel pesterlog conversations before so i dont get why we didn’t get that here! jade and dave frog breeding is one of the most important events in homestuck, and yet it was terribly glossed over. everything in the story, their futures, are predicated on their success. not just in their unwinnable session, but the one they split up for 3 years and escape to.

at first i thought, maybe their lack of shown interaction has to do with hussie working out the intricacies of pesterlog/dialogue thing? as he once stated on tumblr:

Does this mean that their guardians couldn’t talk to them before and that is why they left them notes all around their houses?  The achievement badge only upgraded their ability to speak to each other as presented through the comic. The guardians are both literally silent automatons, and not really, as there is indication through allusion they function as normal people too. And the kids went through a huge adventure, achieved immortal god status, and even then had to gain a few more levels just to gain the achievement of simple dialogue as a literal upgrade, as well as not literally, because that makes no sense. The reality is inseparable from the way the story is presented and the way the “game” is played. But those abstractions are also a facade for a more life-like reality beneath it as well.

then i realized, this is not only an arbitrary cop out that affects my enjoyment of the comic in retrospect because they wind up being able to talk later anyway and that makes me feel cheated in these moments, but also still actually awful within these parameters because hussie breaks his own rule here, proving he could have shown us dave and jade talking in person at any time regardless of needing the gift of gab achievement for us to watch them as readers. recall this is also the first time john and rose met in person (at least when rose wasn't asleep):

2. Jade & Dave vs. Jack Noir

this is where i take out my frustration over this being delegated to a banner at the top to the point where readers forgot it occurred.

i wish their time on lofaf frog breeding and fighting with jack was front and center and wasnt just in the banner at the top of the page. it makes it seem not as important when it completely was, considering that characters brought up what had happened in that scene multiple times.

it is significant because it is at that point that jack noir has killed all of the kids at least once. the only one left being jade who he refuses to kill due to bec’s loyalty

THIS IS WHAT THE REFRANCE (foreshadowing)

jack noir killed john on his quest bed which allowed him to ascend to god tier. then he killed john AGAIN but it wasn’t a heroic or just death so john was revived

jack killed grimdark rose. john smooched rose’s corpse, allowing her to take over on derse.

jack killed dave by redirecting jade’s bullets into dave’s body instead. jade smooched dave’s corpse, allowing him to take over on derse.

after jade shoots him through jack, he’s down for the count. she kisses him and he wakes up on derse; all he and rose have left of “themselves” in an existential sense are their dreamselves. they didnt know they were going to ascend to god tier delivering the tumor. they assumed they were just going to die like for real and not come back which is why dave went with rose since he didnt want her to die alone.

it was also an important point since her time spent with dave on lofaf is the first in-person contact jade has had with another living human since she was probably 4 years old with her grandpa.

for jack noir, we got [s] seer: desend and [S] ==> (3696) which were hella impactful. seeing jade and dave essentially go through the same thing but with an extended battle sequence honestly kinda warrants a flash in my mind. (the sad thing is that unite synchronization was originally written with those pages in mind (the track was originally called redshift) but of course malcolm brown couldnt have known what was going to happen unless hussie commissioned him for a specific track for a specific story beat, probably like whatever he did to coordinate cascade’s music with toby ahead of the 10/25/11 release of the flash and publication of volume 8 on bandcamp)

i think one of the worst parts is that entire conversations were referenced, but cut or never written.

this is a real forgotten homestuck fact: jade was completely freaking out after filling dave with bullets until karkat had talked her through it. very easily forgotten since even though it being referenced twice we never actually saw the conversation. (i overrode the black scratch background so it's easier to read)

and we find out thousands of pages later dave was thinking more about how it wouldve made jade feel to watch him die than knowing he was about to fucking die. if you even care btw

3. Davesprite and Grimbark Jade

davesprite—an extension of dave himself—dates jade but breaks up because he feels inadequate at being the dave that he thinks jade deserves. NOT because they fought or anything. they were still on good terms. davesprite just felt inherently unlovable. john seemed more upset about the breakup frankly.

what davesprite did was because he thought it was in jade's best interest. there is nothing to suggest it was a fight / clash break up. they still seemed to be on good terms, davesprite asking where she went and all. jade says the breakup “is complicated” and “hes going through a lot of stuff”. given the context i think it's reasonable to assume that davesprite's thought process was: “we're coming up to the new session soon and youre going to meet up with dave again and i dont want to make shit awkward with you dating knockoff dave. you deserve to be with real dave instead so im gonna cut what we have going here in advance and distance myself from your life”

jade probably protested about saying how he's just as real as “real dave”, but davesprite made his decision already. im sure it wasnt easy for davesprite to break up either. with emotions running high (sadness, not anger) he probably just left to be alone and distance himself from jade, and seems to harbor guilt about it as we see in the log. that's probably why he wasn't at john's movie party. this is just speculation on my part but it doesnt seem in character for the breakup to be explosive because jade seemed more understanding than john. sad, but understanding.

i feel like a lot of people forget this. grimbark jade made it seem like davesprite did it to hurt her, or for this to mean that dave and jade are not actually good for each other, which is a wild mischaracterization of what happened but the one that stuck with the fandom nonetheless.

not only that, but davesprite's existence tragic and he's understandably depressed. after spending about a year in sburb (accounting for time travel) without john or jade, only to go back and give up your personhood to advance the alpha timeline and become forgotten is fucking crushing, and i think the breakup is also about davesprite coming to terms with that trauma, being okay with his existence as a sprite instead of being a bootleg stand-in for the dave that jade knew.

basically what vintagegamebro says,

it was such a tragic way for them to part for 3 years with no communication, and it was only proceeded by more tragedy because jade then had no one but davesprite to turn to, and davesprite needed anything but romance at that point

grimbark jade isn’t a good reflection of jade’s actual self. she pushed the mayor into lava for fucks sake which normal jade would never dream of doing, grimbark jade is straight up unhinged. i’m sure jade was hurt because all breakups hurt, but it was blown out of proportion (see how calm she was above a few days after the breakup?) because of Evilness. but also as @vintagegamebro mentioned it also felt somewhat … “off”? or out of left field? especially seeing what the nature of the breakup was from both sides in the above screenshots.

when dave says “theres no way i would have done that to you” i genuinely believe him. i have no reason not to believe him. look at him above asking for questions and clarification. thinking about how what davesprite did, a version of himself beyond his control and how it reflects on himself, i think it's obvious dave cares a lot about how jade feels about him

even after this confrontation in the game over timeline, dave laid down his fucking life to defend her corpse from the becs in he hope she could be revived by jane

and to think that after all this he still chose to save her, like always, probably knowing he had little to no chance, just because he cares for her, her life and who she is beyond this moment, really meant a lot for them. i really, really was mad that this would be the last time they would truly ever be together in a way that to me mattered

hi hi hello amata!! Thank you for the ask, it always gives me a fun excuse to ramble on and on, which is always very enjoyable ^^ I’ll answer the first two questions for Sylph and then (attempt to) answer the last one for both her and Ghostie!!

The Amityville Horror (1979): Give a basic run-down of your s/i. What should we know about them right away?

(Utilizing a placeholder name) Sylph Plagued is 13 at the start of Homestuck and 16 by the end of it, of which she dies at least two times during the main timeline. Her screen name is awkwardGhost (hence the AG acronym), she types in the #7a249e hex color, her strife specibus is axekind and her planet is named the Land of Plants and Wonder (LOPAW). She’s a god-tiered Sylph of Life and a Derse dreamer (making her a Lesces), and she’s the unofficial white mage of her session.

At first, her powers are primarily defense based, spawning plants and roots to shield and delay attacks and threats, and she has the ability to heal injuries and illnesses. Eventually, she learns how to make the powers more offense based, utilizing the aforementioned roots and plants to work against the enemy and actively attack them rather than just protecting herself and her other server mates. She also strengthens her healing powers, working up to being able to cure any status, including death, as long as she hasn’t overused the power and exhausted herself. As most life players do, her blood is also capable of being used to heal.

Sylph is, as her screen name describes, awkward: she’s a bit more difficult to get close to compared to the other beta kids, and she often puts too much effort into pleasing the people she tries to get close to and can trust too easily. Despite this, she’s capable of holding a grudge and being stubborn, and is often a bit nosy, but this is all because she has the best intentions with her thoughts and beliefs, thinking that they are for the betterment of her and the people close to her. She can get confused and overwhelmed easily if she’s unfamiliar with something or someone.

During her time on the meteor, she becomes a bit more sporadic and prone to impulsively speaking out (likely from the influence of spending so much time with Dave and Karkat), and she becomes (slightly) more comfortable talking with people, considering she has to meet so many individuals during the three year journey. She also gains an unexplainably strong amount of determination once the main timeline splits from the doomed one, and, when needed, she’s able to be very focused and dead set on the things she does and believes she needs to do.

Her interests include typology, astrology, hoarding a stupid amount of books, horror movies, varying genres of music, random obscure facts and topics and formal debates. Sylph tries to form a friendship with Gamzee, having him as her patron troll, before he inevitably snaps and goes on his murdering rampage (of which she blames herself for not preventing). She aids with helping breed the genesis frog, dies from her injuries with Jade, before being god-tiered with Dave and Rose and getting stuck on the meteor with them and the trolls. During the Game Over timeline, she dies protecting Karkat from Gamzee, and during the final battle, she’s running around healing and reviving her teammates when Jane or Nanasprite aren’t present.

During the epilogues, she gains the status of Ultimate Self in the meat timeline and begins hearing totally not suspicious narration from a certain someone. She gets with Dave and Karkat in this timeline, going with them and the others to chase after Dirk when he leaves Earth C, and while her health hasn’t deteriorated as fast as the other ultimate selves’ health has due to being the essence of life itself, she has definitely been undergoing some kind of decline while on the spaceship.

Meanwhile, in the candy timeline, she remains at the normal god-tiered status and gets with Jade and Dave, eventually joining Karkat’s rebellion and adopting a kid with Jade. Her relationship with both Karkat and Dave becomes more or less strained, and her healing powers begin to waver due to the constant overuse in the rebellion.

The Innocents (1961): In canon, was your f/o the first person your s/i met? Or did your s/i encounter someone else first?

As to be expected, it was actually Egbert who Sylph interacted with first out of the beta kids. She met them through Pesterchum, and from there she was introduced to Rose due to them having similar interests. She then meets Dave through Rose, and lastly she meets Jade.

Her first few conversations with Dave were more or less her being very confused and lost on how to talk to him, due to his spontaneousness and quick changing topics, along with his complete lack of tone in his typing, so this causes their chats to rarely ever go anywhere. Dave inevitably catches on to this and tries to be a bit less all over the place when talking to her lol, and they talk about the different bands they like, which helps them bond.

Jade is very patient with her when they first meet and often talks to Sylph about her dreams on Prospit and her various interests, most specifically farming, physics and animals, since Sylph gets the most engaged with those topics. Jade gets really happy when she opens up easier because of this <3 she talks with her a lot about Bec, and Sylph does the same with her pets, which later brings them closer together when they both lose their dogs and have to prototype them with the kernel sprite.

Her first interaction with Karkat was obviously when he tried to troll her. However, due to being a bit of a mess when socializing, she doesn’t really pick up on that when faced with his screamy grey text, so their first conversation is full of a lot more of Sylph being confused and taking things a bit too literally, before she gives up trying to understand anything Karkat is saying and blocks him. Their first actual interaction outside of this was during the Sburb session when he approaches her about “stealing his moirail”, in which more confusion ensues. Sylph has no idea what is happening ever lol

However, Dave and Jade are the first people she sees in person during their Sburb session, so I suppose that could count here.

Peeping Tom (1960): How would your f/o describe your s/i?

Dave would want to describe her the way he thinks she deserves to be described as: she’s saved his life twice during their game session, grown even while in an environment that normally wouldn’t let her: surely that makes her more put together than him, someone strong and steady, someone he wants to protect even when he knows she doesn’t exactly need it. But a Strider hardly ever shares something so personal, so he’d probably say something cheesy about how Sylph is cool, but obviously not as cool as him. Would proceed to drop a surprisingly deep line about how she’s “like the sunshine”, wavering and ever changing but warm and almost always present. Continues to not provide any further explanation afterwards lol

Karkat would probably say some sort of half-affectionate insult at first (likely comparing her to an “INCONSOLABLE GRUB” or whatever), but would then stop to genuinely think about how he’d want to describe her. The feelings he has for her go beyond any of the quadrants, so he can’t just quote something cheesy from one of his red-romcom films. How could he ever describe something that goes beyond everything he was ever told about these kinds of emotions? How would he ever explain how he views someone who changed his views on all sorts of things? That’s just it. He can’t. He’d probably follow up the insult with saying that she’s “different”, that she’s stronger and braver than him and yet somehow so much more vulnerable, and that’s what makes her so confusing to him. Follows that up by saying she’s maybe the second most sane person on the meteor (meant to be a compliment).

Jade would get ecstatic over describing how she sees Sylph: she thinks she’s courageous and smarter than she knows and yet so stupidly impulsive and flighty — that’s what makes them so alike, but while Sylph is only capable of focusing on the small things, on one point that she thinks she has to fix, Jade is capable of seeing the whole picture as a Space player. She thinks they balance out each other’s impulsivity and flightiness because of this; they fill in the gaps together to get the full, detailed picture. Jade thinks Sylph is what brings everything together for her. She thinks she’s her rock, the one that keeps her thoughts straight when she needs it most, and she tries to be just the same for her <3

As for Ghostie…

Where does Marik even begin to describe Ghostie? He’s been inside her head before, surely it can’t be that difficult to come up with some easy, short answer. But when is anything ever that easy for Marik Ishtar? And even if it was easy, of course he’d want to go completely over the top with it. Marik thinks Ghostie is peculiar, but in a good way — a way he hasn’t been able to see before. He admits that he thinks she’s a little bit too inside her own head, prone to thinking more than she is to acting, but that’s what makes the moments when she does act all the more important. He knows she’s capable of herself and smart, and he sometimes thinks she’s almost too quick to forgive or understand things. He thinks she’s a sensitive thing, but all the same he’s seen her shoulder stress and still stand despite it. Overall, Marik would probably describe Ghostie as steady, thoughtful and intriguing.

Ryou thinks Ghostie is sweet and understanding: he would probably agree with Marik on how she’s too quick to forgive and understand things, seeing as she’s one of the only people who actively tries to get through to the spirit possessing him despite the danger written all over it (and the amount of times he’s put her in harm’s way — that only helps to add to the underlying want to protect her, even when it seems like Ghostie is trying to protect him). Even though he’s probably the closest to her, he doesn’t even know what goes on in her mind half the time, and this causes her to come off as aloof and sometimes even obscure (and if Ryou’s adamancy with learning more about the Millennium items shows anything, it’s that he loves a good bit of mystery and attempting to uncover things). Ryou would describe her as interesting and smart and as a good friend, if not a bit mysterious (not that that’s a bad thing — quite the opposite for him).

Bakura’s first response would be “annoying”, which isn’t necessarily wrong despite how sharp it might seem: it is pretty tedious when Ghostie is constantly getting in the way of his plans or escapades, even when they’re only for harmless fun at best. He thinks it’s admirable in a weird way, however; it takes a hefty amount of determination to continue catching him over and over before he actually does anything. Bakura finds her tedious and annoying, yes, but he also thinks of her as strong willed and genuine. He’d probably throw “sensitive” into that description, before scrapping it for a more accurate (and softer, less insulting) “caring” — he’s seen her get emotional time and time again, be it about him, or Ryou, or anyone else in her circle, but it’s not always through tears: sometimes it comes from a place of concern and care more than weakness.

Melvin is probably the only one who wouldn’t have an immediate, in depth answer to provide. He does know that Ghostie was the first to sympathize and try to understand the reason for his (Marik’s) actions, and that just counts for another fatal flaw of being too quick to forgive — obviously she must be foolish to think there’s more to his motives than getting revenge, but deep down he knows she’s right to think that. It makes her, yet again, intriguing to him: everyone else is visibly upset or frightened with him, and while Ghostie isn’t exactly excluded from that, she still sees that he’s completely human, not a ghost like the other two. Melvin would probably describe her similarly to Marik: intriguing (if not confusing), maybe a bit intuitive, an oddity. He doesn’t know as much about her as the others, but he does know that he wants to get closer to her <3

Okay... so before I ramble like a crazy person... I have some weird terminology that I use to address some weird stuff with the Homestuck variant.

Timeline A: Elaine's plan fails, and Evie enters Session Alpha-B

Essentially, we can also call this the "Evie's popular for all the wrong reasons" timeline as an early release beta of sBurb ends up leaked, copied many times over, and generally abused until the day.

Generally, it was such a disaster that she somehow ended up in a post-scratch version of the same session years earlier than intended and went on a rampage that ended up permanently altering the entire medium.

Most of Timeline A's time is spent trying to figure out where in time and space are her frogs... and as such, the whole breeding of the genesis frog does not occur.

Timeline B: Elaine's plan works, and Evie enters Session Beta-A

As Evie isn't alone in this case or being treated like a side-show by her classmates, activity starts off more subdued, but quickly winds up as the stakes increase.

There are multiple possible points of ignition, but the general statement that could be made is that the simple fact that she has someone and something to care about with a more precise effort as a result.

This especially goes for the simple fact that this puts her right in the middle of the path of opposition... which really doesn't bode well for any plans of ol' Cueball or his boss.

I mean... at that point, he'd might as well just get into the pot of boiling water on his own accord and wait to be made into a crab platter...

in homestuck, the Time aspect is connected to death and endings , while the Space aspect is connected to creation and new beginnings. Aradia is dead by the beginning of Hivebent, MANY different Daves die, and the whole thing of Space players is they need to breed the Genesis Frog, and winning Sburb (by having both a Space and Time player) is both an ending of the game and the beginning of a new universe. They’re influenced by their aspects, things happen to them because of it. But Caliborn and Alt Calliope (the versions of them that godtier) act sort of outside of their aspects, because they are the master classes of Lord and Muse. Caliborn, the Lord of Time, cannot die, because he destroyed his godtier clock and created the stable timeloop of the entirety of Homestuck, making the story repeat itself. Alt Calliope, the Muse of Space, cannot create, she can only inspire creation in others, and the only thing she can create is the black hole that will destroy everything in the game. The Muse and Lord act in antithesis to their aspects, since the Lord has complete control and the Muse can only inspire.

Here’s the shipping chart of what this madness looked like:

Solid lines for established or longer-lasting relationships, dotted lines for either crushes or experiments that didn’t pan out. Crowley, Eric, and Hastur’s auspisticism is dotted because it’s not a consciously-thought out relationship that’s actually been defined so much as a convenient social contract that keeps Hastur from killing Crowley by distracting him with a multitude of Erics, which makes it a pretty functional auspisticism, actually.

Some notes:

- If you’re thinking that the blood colors and god tier titles don’t exactly fit, you’re right, but there’s a reason, and we’ll get to it in future chapters of Omenstuck. Maybe one day I’ll do the thing proper and give them all more accurate classpects and blood colors, but I think I did pretty well, given everything.

- This means that it was Hastur and Ligur’s jobs, as the Knight and Space players, to breed the Genesis Frog, which creates each new universe, and that tickles me to the bone.

- Ligur’s whole situation is a nod to both Good Omens and to Homestuck; for a bit I entertained making Crowley the hemo-mutant that Karkat is, but thought he fit best lower on the totem pole (on his belly he shall crawl and all that). Canonically, Karkat’s bright red human-like blood is a mutation off of an old hemospectrum caste, the limebloods, and it tickled me to think of Ligur occupying both the limebloods and the red mutation that spawned from it, as a nod to his color-changing in Good Omens and his affiliation with chameleons. Also, apparently it’s the guanine in their skin that makes chameleons change color, which is what the G in Homestuck pesterchum handles stands for (bc the chats are all supposed to represent DNA strands that make up each Genesis Frog that creates each new universe), so it came together kinda perfectly. If Ligur ever was in a pesterlog, I was going to code it so his lines would alternate colors, but it didn’t pan out that way.

- Was it overly simplistic to cast Hell as the lowbloods and Heaven as the highbloods? Yes. But there are two reasons for this, one of which I can’t say because spoilers, one of which I will freely admit, which is that I got tired and just simplified where I could because I was already putting more effort into backstory that turned out to be less relevant than I thought once I finally got the dang thing written.

- In the bowels of my Instagram there is a doodle of Gabriel with the traditional Bardic codpiece and an expression to match, but I didn’t keep it in canon. It is definitely there in spirit and more loving detail will be paid attention to it if I ever go back and do a proper Homestuck troll AU.

- There was a subplot I discarded when thinking of the quadrant entanglements that involved Dagon hooking up with both Sandalphon and Michael in a redrom way and that being one of the catalysts for the bloodbath at the end, because I adore Dagon/Michael and wanted to go there first but she was already appearing so much, and I remember reading about Dagon/Sandalphon once in a fic I wish I could remember off the top of my head and it was so bizarre I adored it. Ultimately I stuck with Dagon and Sandalphon having a redrom fling, because why not.

- Dagon was also going to have a whole Thing against Metatron that boiled down to her having vestigial seadweller traits and being jealous of an actual seadweller that didn’t do his heritage credit, but Metatron was such a non-entity that it didn’t feel relevant to bring up, with so much already getting crammed into this upd8.

- Gabriel and Eridan have some eerie synergy and that’s a hill I’ll die on.

- Uriel was supposed to have a bigger part, too, delving into how they fit into the whole purpleblood Mirthful Messiahs cult and how they use their paint to emphasize their vitiligo (inspired by their canonical pretty gold face markings), but once again...not enough room, not enough interaction with Crowley or Aziraphale. They were either going to be a huge part of it, or eschew it entirely in favor of worshipping Metatron and possibly Metatron’s eldritch lusus instead, but eh. Roads untraveled. I also didn’t doodle their facepaint while I was doing my concept sketches/brainstorming activities so I just let it be.

- The whole Michael and Sandalphon using a heavily manipulative auspisticism to blackmail and control Aziraphale was a concept I had from the beginning, but when I wrote the scene, it actually shook me up a lot; Auspisticism is one of the platonic and weirder quadrants in Homestuck, but it didn’t hit me until I had written it how that particular dynamic could be exploited and turned into something kinda borderline abusive, if not outright abusive (I’m trying to be more careful in how I apply the word so I don’t know for sure if what I wrote counts as fully abusive, or just a super bad time). To be honest, in all the Homestuck fics that ever were, I don’t think I ever read a single one that described what I did in this fic (and RAPE MENTION TW a part of me that is forever struck by my friend’s fic that described a brutal pale rape, as in forcing the usual nonsexual markers of the pale quadrant on an unwilling victim, was worried that I had written ashen rape, which was NOT where I wanted to go; after worrying about it to friends and sleeping on it, I don’t think I quite went there, but the implication that it COULD happen is going to haunt me for a while).

- I did want to get more detailed with a lot of things, like Crowley and Aziraphale’s influencing and talking with humans, and how it was affecting things like their vocabulary and how they saw the world, but it was just too much to tackle in any great detail.

- the whole thing where Crowley uses his god tier powers to steal Life energy from his fellow stranded trolls and makes plants that could potentially feed them one day? Totally unexpected. I did a LOT of refreshing myself on the classes and aspects of god tiers when I was doing the groundwork for this part of the fic, but it didn’t strike me that that was a thing Crowley could do until I was already writing it. And maybe Aziraphale should’ve been a little more horrified by it, but Crowley’s right, they ARE immortal now. Also the whole “taking Life energy and redistributing it among allies” thing probably wasn’t meant to be interpreted as “puts the other trolls in the Mood for quadrant hookups” but it was too hilarious a coincidence to ignore. Life needs things to live, as a wise internet dnd player once said, and when you’re the last of your species, you’ve gotta do what you can to propagate (even if it’s functionally impossible to restore your species, since there’s no Mother Grub to donate slurry to and no ectobiological lab to make ectobabies from. God loves a trier). Does that make all the hookups dubious consent, since weird Life magic was involved? I don’t think so, I think it just accelerated what was already present, but I’ll leave that to y’all to judge.

- Crowley was actually supposed to be the one to die. It said so in my notes. It was a whole Thing, Crowley getting speared or shot or whatever and looking at Aziraphale like “ha I got this one better luck next time”. But then I made Aziraphale a Thief of Doom, which was originally a joke to myself about how he hoards books (Thief players are hoarders and Doom can represent rules or systems), and then he got all contemplative and hit ME back with “no, no, sister, you made me a Thief of Doom, I’m gonna steal this death meant for Crowley and keep it all to myself, and there’s nothing you can do about it.” And he was RIGHT. I can’t believe I’ve killed Aziraphale THREE TIMES now. And I completely forgot about how god tier players are also immortal from being killed unless the death is Heroic or Just until, again Aziraphale reminded me by pushing Crowley out of the way--therefore making his death to sacrifice himself for his friend and beloved Heroic. I played myself in every possible way. Checkmate, brain. (As for what that means in future chapters, stick around, it’s only gonna get weirder, but Homestucks who are puzzled at the inclusion of Dream Shards rather than Dream Bubbles are encouraged to draw some conclusions of their own.)

Oh yeah, Yuu at least somewhat remembers Homestuck! So yeah, she would keep an eye on her fellow Prospit players, probably urging Silver to do the same. Will she use her, honestly more than likely limited knowledge to help the others beat the game the right way, instead of doing something like speed up the Frog Breeding Process in order to avoid making an ill new universe?

The beauty of having another soul within you...kinda. It’s a complicated situation.

ANYWAYS, I imagine she has Silver keep an eye out for anyone on Derse being sus, as they just snoop around, likely about ready to hit Prospit for some...assassinations.

Silver gets to be a knight, just in ways he didn’t exactly expect. Malleus is gonna be on the watch, too, when he wakes up. Tsunotarou doesn’t want his friends DYING.

And yeah, the goal of this session is a HEALTHY genesis frog, no need to be impatient (though sometimes, it’s tempting, but Karkat already showed us what happens when you aren’t careful).

It’s gonna be an ESPECIALLY long session, but with two Space players (maybe even more, depending on the RSA gang), the chances of getting a healthy genesis frog shouldn’t be too difficult. It’ll just...be time-consuming. It’s like shiny hunting in Pokemon.

It can get pretty tedious and I SWEAR, it might get to the level of what this guy went through for a Shiny Impidimp.

Anyways, at least Trey and Jack are patient, if likely going bonkers over the amount of frogs they’ve bred. You can bet that Jack likely checks how each and everyone turns out. Like...he cultivates cacti. My dude has very delicate touch when the situation calls for it. Same goes for Trey, because baking can be complex, depending on what you’re making.

OMG A ACTIVE CLASSPECT BLOG??? Can you do a power or land analysis for the sylph of space? There has never been any info on that classpect as long as we’ve had classpect blogs :/

Ahaha, yeah, I'm an active blog! I do believe there are others but I'm glad you were excited to find me.

For the Sylph of Space we do have the canon example of Kanaya Maryam. As she never reached god tier, we don’t see much of her abilities. However, she does appear to be able to have some minor influence - she was able to help Roxy steal Void as a way to create Space. 

Generally, I consider how the different key terms of the class can interact with the different parts of the aspect (see the links above), which can lead to many possible abilities which can be unique to the player. But here’s some potential abilities for someone who creates Space or creates with Space:

create matter (this is pretty broad, but would probably manifest as creating physical symbols of Space - perhaps even being able to create the Genesis Frog)

heal reality (if the session is falling apart physically rather than in a time-related way, the Sylph could help with this)

improve variation (this would be useful for creating the Genesis Frog or any kind of breeding where you need variety in mutations)

increase distance (perhaps a healthy distance between friends, or a physical distance between objects)

grow environment (this could be turning an environment into a larger environment or something like growing the plants/animals in it to be larger)

renew through beginnings (another broad one, where the Sylph could cause someone or something to ‘go back to the beginning’ and give it a new start - this isn’t time, but more like scrapping the Genesis Frog progress to start again and this proves to be more helpful or giving someone a second chance)

As for Lands, our canon example is the Land of Rays and Frogs. It’s generally assumed that a Space player will have Frogs in their land, unless there’s a reason for there to be an exception. It tends to be the goal that their land presents them. 

Now the ‘Rays’ part seems to be a unique part of the environment that particularly relates to Kanaya. Sylphs tend to have unique opinions about Space and due to creating Space, it can make up a great deal of their interests. Therefore, it makes sense that the other word would be reflective this - it’s likely to either relate to an interest you don’t tell others about often (as Sylphs tend to hold back their opinions) or it could be related to how you meddle with Space in the lives of others, though don’t feel you have to limit yourself to those rules if you don’t want to. 

It could be related to artistic interests (Land of Art and Frogs), different types of plants (Land of Succulents and Frogs), a connection with space (Land of Nebulae and Frogs), or maybe you meddle with people’s fashion often (Land of Silk and Frogs). There’s many possibilities and I would suggest looking at this for ideas (belongs to @/thepageofhopes, it doesn’t have Space but it does have some fan aspects that overlap slightly - and even canon aspects can overlap at times too).
