for me… FOR ME..!!! and for shri’iia specifically the lock in for astarion’s romance is his graveyard scene in act 3.
i think it is too quick for shri’iia to be moving on to another relationship considering her previous one was with her mistress who essentially groomed and isolated her for like … more than hundred years. learning to chase her own desires and not moulding herself to what anyone wants her to be is something so new to her…!!! and something that she’s still learning how to be comfortable with….
and what I like abt romancing astarion with her is that I usually go for the dialogue path in his act 2 confession scene where you can ask him:
- what do YOU want to do?
and he goes like honestly idk what we’re doing but /this/ is nice. it just feels like two people exploring the option to love for the first time and taking things in their own pace rather than jumping straight into the relationship. they’re going at a snails pace… they don’t know what they’re doing but they like this feeling and the vibe and they want to more of it but they’re not ready to commit to anything yet and it’s fine for them …!! and they’re only committing by the end in the graveyard scene where significant time has passed and they’ve learnt a little more about themselves and they’re both more confident about their own desires and also how they want to be loved.
like it is so fitting I think… and sweet… not to mention astarion being a high elf & a vampire and shri’iia being a drow, they have all the time of the world for themselves so I def think they would want to take their time. except if shri’iia turns into a mindflayer or drider by the end then that plan is out the window lol

BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK#I could go ON about how much of an incredible and multifaceted and quietly fascinating katniss is in so many ways rhat don’t get much talk#but just thinking about like the ways in which peeta saw to the heart of her and showed her a fondness and appreciation and CHOICEEEEE to#defend (figuratively and literally) and love her in whatever ways he could and would not be a burden to her while she was dealing with so#much pain and distrust and disillusionment so that she felt incapable or even didn’t WANT to feel that or fully understand it#and then watching that grow more and more complicated for her until she’s suddenly knowing the true heart of HIM and it’s beginning to#change HER and then all of the sudden the roles are reversed and he is now the one who is so emotionally far away and closed off and#traumatized and her sudden crashing understanding of what he served in her life and to her understanding of love when it’s suddenly gone#and the point where SHEEEEE is now making that same choice to patiently and vulnerably be there and see any dark part and love and protect#despite it and do for him what she didn’t fully realize he had done for her like my god. my god.#DO ANY OF YALL GET THE VISION……..EVERYONE LEFT I STAYED HERE ‼️‼️‼️

dante forgot to add one more circle of hell for people who make up clickbait about a firefly reboot I KEEP FUCKING SEEING THESE ARTICLES and I just sit there like. who in their right mind would go "let's make firefly 2"
#i guess serenity is sort of firefly 2 but whatever you get my point#like idc. just bc the mouse supposedly has the rights that doesn't mean they'll do it#also so much of it would not fly (no pun intended). hell there's stuff that didn't fly in 2005 thats still in it#like every time i rewatch it i don't understand how people can like mal so much when he's such an asshat to inara every five minutes#and yet the parts where hes likeable im like aw fuck i dont want to like this guy#for instance every time i see the bit in e1 where book doesnt get the 'joke' and mal just goes “sHeS a wHoRe” i die on the inside#i dont understand how people ship them did we watch the same show#i guess the idea is maybe “oh hes jealous shes not sleeping with *him* instead and thats why he acts like that” but thats not cute#thats just gross#this isnt even the biggest issue likely but its the one that makes me wanna scream
