This beautiful shawl is hard to photograph because I misread the pattern increases and it doesn't lay flat 😅 BUT it's still absolutely gorgeous. Thank you to my godmother for gifting the wonderful yarn <3

Pattern: Mingling Daisies Shawl by Stephen West

Yarn: Fingering weight yarn in 'Plum Blossom' by Woollen Wytch (in 50% BFL, 25% Alpaca, 25% Bio-nylon)

After about 10 swatches I finally started on my Flowers of Winter bandana. I altered the increases and decreases so that they would be symmetrical, but for some reason I didn't bother moving the eyelet pattern over one stitch so that the whole pattern would be symmetrical: The repeats on the left are one stitch further from the centre line and one stitch closer to the edge than the repeats on the right. Why didn't I fix this? I'm not going to frog what I've done because I only have one ball of this discontinued colour (Bernat Softee Baby in Little Red Wagon), and this yarn shreds badly when frogged. But I wish I had fixed this before I started. I was so caught up on other little details. Now I'm trying to decide if it's worth recharting the pattern so that at least the rest of the bandana will be symmetrical. Not tonight, anyway.

I guess I could frog it and see how bad the yarn ends up. Or I could buy different yarn. I hate working with this yarn, but it's soft and pretty. I don't know what other yarn I would use instead. Or I could just live with it as a lesson learned.

Finished this cozy granny poncho!! I've had this green yarn for EVER and it's already been frogged at least once, so it feels great to finally have it made into something I love :> the hood turned out so huge and fairytaley which is just what I wanted

Pattern: for the body I used the (free) Boho Poncho pattern from Lion Brand, though I changed up the edging. The hood is based on the 'Crochet Granny Stitch Hood Tutorial' by PassioKnit Kelsie on YouTube

Yarn: The body yarn is from King Cole, but I've had it so long I have no idea what it was - I think it may even have been discontinued :''( The lining is Stylecraft 'That Colour Vibe' in 'Joy' and 'Bold'

Knitting idea: I don't wear shawls but I do wear bandanas, so maybe I could knit a miniature version of a shawl and wear it as a bandana.

And so the shawl continues to grow! Got a solid two hours of knitting in today, and am nearly to row 50! Getting the hang of beaded increases, and the specific way to mid pattern bind off isn't anywhere as annoying as I thought it would be.

Really just loving this shawl and wish I had more time in the day to knit it. And hell, enough time to do math to adapt it circular and stick it on a frame as a parasol. Probably not until tiny tot is safely in high school and won't try to run off with the yarn again.

In celebration of finishing five of my six shawls for my wedding I have released the pattern for my "on the fly" bridesmaid shawl.

It's made of Bamboo pop on a US 6 needle. Because I hate knitting the same thing twice I did attempt to make this pattern customizable. The lace is both charted and writen out for convenience.
