I really really enjoyed the new Mission Impossible 7 but couldn't believe the killed Ilsa half way through the movie... The other half I was genuinely waiting for someone to pull off a mask and Ilsa to appear.. One of Ferguson's best roles, with so many powerful women messages, gone like that? 😭Still not over it..

Thank you for the message, one of her most iconic roles indeed. We are bummed and baffled by this decision, we thought Ilsa deserved a better send off than that. Let's wait for Part Two, maybe something will be more clear about her character arc. In any case Ilsa will always be one of the best female characters in an action movie. The one people will always remember from Mission.

9. Favourite scent(s): I get tired soo easily of scents and I don’t like perfumes one bit. But the one thing that lights my heart everytime I smell it is the penguin scent. When I worked with them, the feeling of entering the penguin lounge and take a big gasp of air was so so amazing 💙

She had been traveling. The allure of the Earth after so many heart only taking it in by news streams and other people’s reports had made Astra itchy to explore the many mysteries and sights she’d heard about. One day, she’d be in China, seeing the great wall, the next, she’d go to the savannahs of Mozambique. There was this whole new world and Astra didn’t want to spend one more minute not seeing all parts of it. Each experience was more fantastical than the last. From the highest heights to the lowest lows, Astra made it a point to see and know of everything that she could. The culture and languages could wait, but the plants and animals were forever. She had no idea that there might be anyone might be tracking her movements. It wasn’t in her thoughts. There was still some lingering Kryptonian arrogance to her thoughts. 

That arrogance allowed her to perform acts of heroism wherever she happened to land. This day, Astra had had to recuse several people from an offshore drilling station. Flames had caught and there were still people on the rig. After saving them all, Astra had decided to do a little fixing of the problem and turned the whole thing into a very complicated mess of metal and wiring. Her personal vendetta against environmental harm had a cost. The powers that she so often relied upon had dwindled and barely allowed her to fly back to the coast of southern California. 

Wandering across the beach, Astra cursed to herself in Kryptonese. How could she let herself get so exhausted? Sure there was an argument for making an oil rig completely unusable, but it shouldn’t have been at the expense of how she planned to get home. This time she hadn’t brought any of the human currancy she needed. Astra sighed and eventually lied down in a dune. Perhaps sunbathing would help her to be more recovered.

    The feeling in her chest is foreign as she watches Root from a distance. It wasn’t anger, that was the only feeling she was familiar with, that was something she could control. This was something that made her unable to move from the spot that she was in, she wanted to look away but it was like she was paralyzed in that spot. She didn’t want to look at that smile that had always irritated her being caused by another woman. Her eyelids don’t close as much as she wants to as she sees them lean in, she doesn’t know who does first but she knows she doesn’t want to see it.

    It had been months since she was gone, she was sure. The truth was she didn’t have a sense of time in there even with the clock right in front of her. Her mind was preoccupied with the thought of just getting out of there. On the days she thought about giving up hope, she remembered one face that she thought would never give up on her. That face was now locked onto another woman’s. After a moment, she could breathe again, she tried to walk away as fast as she could without being noticed.

     The lips pressed against her own easily, and Root was glad of the sigh that escaped from the other woman - it reminded her of days gone past. Things were never easy, not for her, not for any of them, but sharing the burden made things easier. And that’s what the person in front of her reminded her of - of when she could lay with someone in the middle of the night without talking and just listen to each other breathe. There were nights where she missed that, sure, and missed being tentative with touches instead of sure. Her heart panged and she knew something on her face must have changed, because her new partner had asked her what was wrong.     Root shook her head, catching a glimpse of a familiar face in doing so. Her mouth twisted into something - a mixture of a smile and something that revealed a bit more pain. Giving her partner a quick goodbye, she clambered over her seat [ all lanky limbs and no grace ] to catch up to her. “Shaw!” When that didn’t seem to work, she worked her jaw, “Sameen! Sam.. wh -..?” Her words couldn’t catch up to her racing brain - but her features twisted into something like confusion, hurt, something breaking inside of her that she couldn’t quite understand. She’d moved on. Finally. And now?
