im so glad that we never get a clear picture of sophie’s background in leverage & i hope we never do. however i also really like making up various, often conflicting backstories for her in my head. perhaps they���re all backstories for an alias of hers, ones she laid to rest back in season two.

Have you been surprised by the popularity of any of your characters? Characters you weren’t sure would catch on but became loved?

Anon, I've been surprised by the popularity of nearly all of my characters.

Augus and Gwyn started out as side "throwaway" OCs in a fanfic because I needed an Unseelie and Seelie representative.

And like, *gestures to all of Fae Tales* - That wasn't a plan! That wasn't meant to be a thing!!

And then, Ash was meant to be a throwaway foil to his brother and *gestures wildly at Ash*

And then like, Efnisien literally gets killed before we even meet him in Game Theory and *gestures to all of everything re: Falling Falling Stars and Underline the Rainbow*

And then also Dr Gary wasn't even supposed to have proper chapters in Falling Falling Stars and *gestures so wildly at that story and Underline and then screeches like a dinosaur*

Seriously none of my original writing on AO3 would exist if it wasn't for two throwaway OCs in a fanfic gaining popularity and getting so many questions about them from the most wonderful anons and readers that eventually I had to take them more seriously to the point that I finally had enough to write a story.

And even THEN it was only supposed to be 3 chapters of hatefucking.

My original writing career can be defined by just saying 'OH OOPS' in more extreme ways each time.

It's gotten to the point where I'm truly tempted to introduce characters from new worlds upcoming as side characters in current worlds lmao, because I feel this is a bizarre skill I have and didn't know I had until one day I was like 'wait.'

One of the mysteries of Death Note that will forever plague me is how much L and Near resemble each other. I personally hc he's Near's blood-related uncle, but we will never have an explanation for this:

It truly, truly plagues me. Ohba-san, Obata-san, did L actually have a blood-related family member that whole time? Did Near actually avenge his own family member?

hi so i had an idea but it's about nate jacobs, the idea is nate ends up becoming obsessed with maddy's younger sister and she goes to the same school as them but unlike maddy her sister has a totally different personality and she was also popular like Maddy and she was beautiful, she had all the assholes from school at her feet and that made Nate jealous and Nate didn't want her to just give him a chance to have sex and repeat the dose over and over again, he wanted them to dated walk hand in hand with her and talk about everyday nonsense but unfortunately for him he was in love with his ex's sister and he starts to become obsessed with Maddy's sister and a little frustrated because it was very difficult for her to give him a chance on his own what he did to Maddy and also because he and Maddy were once a couple. To top it off, she was super popular and not a curmudgeon with no future and no goals who spends all day talking nonsense, she used her popularity for greater causes, like the day that they had an animal adoption fair and most of the school attended thanks to it. and every now and then she would talk to him a little because she didn't hate him like everyone else at school and on a rainy day Nate offers her a ride and he doesn't know how to declare himself very well and it just seems like he likes his friendship and she agrees She really likes him as a friend and gets out of the car leaving Nate looking like a stray dog ​​and then he does everything he can to stay and win over Maddy's sister, and at one of McKay's parties he watches her and waits for her to go to the bathroom and stops her from closing it with her hand and pushes her into the bathroom, locked the door and there he declares himself and until she says something Nate kisses her and she kisses him and puts her on top of the sink due to their height difference And the rest we already know what happens there and in this the two end up having a hidden relationship away from Maddy and the people at school
