Spotted: The last and final arrivals at my movie night. Maeve looking tres chic in her outfit! Then again, when isn't Ms. Stark on point with her looks? Luna on the other hand, we feel like she could have done better. Hell, we know she could have done better. Her outfit is basic and boring as plain bagel. Dean looking like he's having a glow up and is really coming into his own and he was seen wearing an expensive leather jacket. Though was this a gift from Ella or a bribe gift from his step dad? Viola looks good and we love the color, but her dress is a little formal for a movie night in Central Park. Chandler is keeping up with his boy next store looks and we're okay with that. Alaska looking like she's still deep in summer mode with her tank top and jeans combo. Skylar giving us 70's vibes with her outfit and we love it. Audrey, our favorite fashionista looking a little too formal for this event too. With her and Aki arriving separately and in two different outfits, one has to question, did they even speak before this event? Spencer keeping up her casual look and thank God she's on theme for this event. Sharpay shocking us by changing her all pink looks to an all black one, though she does look like she's dressed for a fancy upscale dinner and not a movie night in Central Park.

​​​Com certeza você já escutou a respeito do famoso Aquarius Brightshire, um dos idealizadores dos Jogos mais famosos que já houve. As arenas que pensou eram cruéis e sanguinárias. Tinha um estilo bem conhecido, que fazia com que os tributos lutassem mais para sobrevivência do que focada na luta de uns contra os outros, mesmo que ocorresse. Era um homem odioso e todas as entrevistas dadas ficava explícito como tinha planejado cada detalhe pensando no mais puro sofrimento. É claro que fez com que virasse um dos queridinhos de Snow, que adorava o entretenimento que o homem poderia produzir. Alguém como Aquarius só poderia casar com uma mulher igualmente mesquinha: a cirurgiã plástica Tulip Techwood, conhecida por fazer famosas as cirurgias plásticas mais esquisitas.

Desse casamento marcado por um antro de poder e bizarrice, nasceu a primeira e única filha deles: Magenta Brightshire e que foi, obviamente, a mais paparicada de toda a Capital. Era a queridinha dos pais, que não mediam esforços em dar para ela tudo o que queria, por mais absurdo que fosse. Cresceu recebendo a máxima atenção deles, que passavam os ensinamentos de tudo o que tinham aprendido para ela. Não era estranho que parecia alheia a qualquer situação do mundo, focando exclusivamente na realidade que a cercava. Para ela, os distritos não eram tão importantes assim e, por muito tempo, acreditou que não passavam de selvagens, como o pai tinha tão veemente falado.

Enquanto crescia, foi dito várias vezes para ela como os Jogos eram uma forma de manter a união de toda a Panem e foi tomado como verdade para Magenta. Por que duvidaria, de qualquer forma? Assistia com um sorriso, se emocionava com os tributos e pensava que estavam morrendo por um gesto muito nobre. A mãe, inclusive, era uma das patrocinadoras do circo, já que aprovava a existência dos Jogos e investia muito dinheiro no tributo que achava que tinha mais chances de ganhar. A própria Magenta, durante a adolescência, participou das apostas que aconteciam nas escolas da Capital sobre quem seria o tributo vencedor. Quando perdia, ficava extremamente chateada.

Quando os dois tributos morreram na 99ª edição, Magenta ficou um pouco chateada, porque estava amando o amor sincero que estava nascendo ali, em uma situação tão diferente. Emocionante, de fato! Ao ser chamada para ser estilista (que não foi espontâneo, já que Aquarius que tinha movido alguns pauzinhos para garantir o sucesso da filha), ficou extremamente animada. Finalmente poderia colocar as suas roupas em uma situação tão incrível quanto os Jogos. No entanto, ficou desapontada ao saber que seria do Distrito 10, já que pecuária não era algo sexy.

  001   .   As roupas de Magenta se tornaram um fenômeno pela Capital e foi a figurinista mais famosa depois do lançamento do filme Wizard of District Infinite, que foi um sucesso principalmente pelos trajes apresentados, cheios de cores e significados. É conhecida principalmente pela utilização de cores etéreas e pelo estilo fantasioso combinado com o tecnológico. Nos Jogos, pretende-se que também adote a estética anteriormente apresentada e característica dela. Em relação à utilização de efeitos visuais na moda inspira-se muito nas roupas de Cinna, que foram um sucesso.

002   .   Desde que se lembra, é fascinada pelos Jogos. Não que gostasse do assassinato de pessoas inocentes — ela até mesmo já chorou em algumas cenas tristes dos seus tributos favoritos morrendo — mas apreciava as roupas que eram apresentadas. Quando era mais nova, era obcecada em ver as apresentações, pensando em como os tributos eram sortudos por poderem usar roupas tão exclusivas.

003   .   Formou-se recentemente na Universidade em moda avançada. Foi reconhecida como uma das estilistas mais promissoras, algo de que se orgulha muito. Começou como estagiária e teve uma progressão de carreira muito rápida (proporcionada pelos pais por favores cobrados). A verdade é que o rosto dela é bem conhecido por entregar visuais impecáveis, dando o seu melhor para trazer tudo o que estava imaginando.

cuz we're exbf story sharing

my exbf was from summer camp. i went to jewish summer camp for six years, and a lot of it was really hard. the camp was kinda split between private school kids who were super out-of-touch, very inconsiderate and spoiled and gossipy and horrible, and just generally not people who i fit in with (my family's well-off, but they were on another level). i got bullied by them in some way, shape, or form (from them spreading rumors about me to intentionally taking advantage of my difficulties with telling if someone's being serious or not and using that to laugh at my expense to outright mocking me) every year after the first time i went to camp. but i kept going back, because i had made friends with some other people, people who were more similar to me (as in went to public school, not super spoiled, generally less similar to sharpay from hsm). unfortunately, they lived in san diego (i'm from LA), but it was fine because i'd see them over the summer. they were kind of my only real friends.

the group was principally people we'll call A, E, and S.

summer before 8th grade was particularly rough. my mental health was in shambles, i got groped by the son of an important colorado politician in the swimming pool and then when i told my unit heads they said they'd give a lecture to the unit telling people not to grope others but instead gave a talk on appropriate swimwear (i was wearing shorts and my cleavage was completely covered, not that it'd matter), and i got in a pretty bad blowout fight with basically my entire tent. i apologized to everyone, and A forgave me (E and S were in the other tent; the rest of my tent, who were also all people who had bullied me, also accepted my apologies, but they liked me even less than they had before). oh, and someone made up a rumor that i was in trouble because i had sex with all of my tentmates (i was the only out lesbian at that point). i felt really close with my friends, though. they were kinda all i had going in my life at that point.

the next summer, before 9th grade, i was expecting to be wonderful. i was feeling a bit better and had plans to continue having virtual sessions with my therapist, i had friends, it was going to be great. A seemed a little distant, and we kept arguing about ridiculously stupid shit (they lied and had batshit takes they defended fervently. notable examples were that they had synesthesia and because of that there was a color they saw in their head that didn't exist in the real world, they were hyperlexic because when they saw a word they automatically read it, and Alzheimer's disease is a neurodivergent disorder). i tried to not fight and mostly succeeded, but i was confused by why they kept ignoring me and acting so weird. they also insulted me a fair amount, but that's just friend behavior, right? i got REALLY close to S, also, and developed quite a bit of a crush. she was very physically affectionate with me (and no one else), in a way that was pretty normal for straight girls at camp but wasn't accepted when you're gay (and she also came out around then), doing stuff like having me rest my head in her lap so she could play with my hair. she was saying things that were kinda really very flirty while also denying she liked me like that (but also said she thought she could fall in love with me). lotta mixed messages. she never stood up for me when A was being rude, but i didn't expect her to, because A was just joking with me as friends do, right? and someone made up a rumor that we had sex on the floor of the chapel, which was deeply uncomfortable.

we stayed in touch via text, and i eventually worked up the nerve to ask her to be my gf, and she said yes. we mostly facetimed and texted, but on spring break she visited me for a night and we went on a real date. she wanted to take it all really slow, didn't want to kiss yet, which i was okay with because i was 14. she was often slow to respond to texts and didn't pick up the phone, but i knew she hated feeling bound to her phone and avoided it as much as possible. she was smart and measured and serious and i loved her so much and was so excited to spend the summer with her at camp.

that summer was the worst summer i ever had, which is saying something. for starters, camp authorities subjected us to wayyy stricter scrutiny because we were gay and in a relationship. they sent someone to ask us all sorts of intrusive questions about our relationship, asking if we'd had sex or made out, and we were told we couldn't go on each other's beds (something straight girls did all the time), hug each other (something straight girls did all the time, and het couples), kiss (something we weren't doing anyways, but het couples could do no problem), or really show any affection as it could make others "uncomfortable" if they saw it. the official rule is "consensual hugging and kissing only with all clothes on" is permitted at camp, but that apparently applied only to straight couples. that was a strain on us because S didn't want people to pry or make rumors, so we were careful to not be outwardly affectionate. didn't work, people still made up rumors about our sex lives (and someone tried to make a rumor that i fucked my cousin, because i (stupidly) told a notorious gossip the story of how my cousin in 8th grade was dating this girl only to find out she's distantly related from us). i was being socially excluded by just about everyone except S and sometimes E, as A took the insults up a notch and took to ignoring me completely. S and E were A's friends, so they kept hanging out with A, not seeming to care that i was fully left out.

one of A's friends, a boy from the unit below us who i'll call R, got a grudge against me, because he was messing around with a friend in a crowded area and nearly knocked me over so i asked him to not do that, and he responded by telling me to "calm down, sweetheart" in the most condescending way possible. i said something like "i'm not your sweetheart" because ick, and from then on every time he or his friends saw me they would follow me and shout stuff like "hey sweetheart! hey pookie!" (i complained to my counselor and she told me not to be upset because he's gay and "that's just how they talk"). i did not like that, and i told him to knock it off. in response, he and A started talking to everyone about how much of a bitch i was, laughing about how upset i was by him getting his cronies to shout misogynistic harassment at me, and just generally being awful.

i eventually confronted A, asking if they hated me or something, because i still considered them one of my closest friends, second to S. they said they'd disliked me for years and hid it before because they didn't feel socially secure enough to drop me, but this year they were in a better social position so they stopped pretending to be my friend, and really it was a wonder i thought we were still friends (they knew i'm autistic and really, REALLY struggle with knowing that sort of thing). this was kinda the crushing blow. my mental health got really bad again, and i was begging camp staff and my parents to let me go home early. again, E and S were silent. i didn't expect S to get involved, because A and S were friends and S doesn't like drama. i didn't know that i had the right to expect a romantic partner and best friend to stick up for me.

and after all that, i still considered S my best friend, and i still considered her my girlfriend (because i'm a shmuck). i still loved her. i called her and texted her. but she grew even more distant. she would leave me on delivered for weeks and wouldn't pick up calls. i knew she hated using her phone but that's excessive, right? it was like she was ghosting me. eventually i sent her a breakup text (after multiple missed calls) and she didn't read it for a month. she apologized and said she hadn't meant to ignore me.

i haven't spoken to her since. sometimes i miss her. sometimes i just miss her hands in my hair and our long conversations when there wasn't anyone else she'd rather talk to around. i still have the crocheted stuffed animals she mailed me, i still have some pictures of us on my phone, and i still have her number (removed the heart emojis from her contact, though). i think about her when i think about bossanova and electro-swing and dostoyevsky and bungou stray dogs and doing cartwheels (she tried to teach me; she was a former gymnast. i'm hopeless, can never keep my legs in the air).

now i struggle to believe people when they act friendly and say they like me because i'm so used to it being a lie. i have expectations for friends that aren't even at the bare minimum, because almost all of my friendships in the past have gone the way of this friendgroup (albeit not so bad) and who am i to expect better? and i never know if i can call someone my friend, because past experience says they probably secretly hate me.

created this in a fugue state last night. breaking bad and high school musical both take place in albuquerque so this is my funny world where walter white gets a teaching job at east high and subsequently grooms the students into dealing drugs for him. other teachers become suspicious of him and kelsi eventually tattles on him to a teacher and they confront him. walter white gaslights them and has a tantrum. here is the speech:

BIOGRAPHY.

E-001 was the first of their kind. After years of trial and error, Stoneage Industries had finally created a "perfect" replicant. E-001, or Eve Nouvel as they came to be named, was practically human to an unknown bystander. They could replicate the full range of emotions experienced by humans. They could sweat, bleed, and feel the experiences that humans dealt with daily. Their code had no flaws--- no glitches or misplaced programming. They were a programmer's greatest accomplishment, and that quickly forced them into a role as a spokesperson for the company.

Eve spent most of their life paraded from one company event to another. They were a marketing tool used to persuade investors to put their trust in Stoneage--- for Eve was a glimpse into the company's future. The replicant smiled and waved through every event, charmed the necessary big-wigs into opening up their wallets, and pretty much did everything that was instructed of them. Their life was a repetitive cycle of events, and for a while, that life was enough for them.

Their contentedness shifted the more they interacted with various CEOs and socialites. They began to hunger for a life outside of their stale routine. They wanted to be something other than a show pony for their makers. What they truly craved was to run the show--- to show them the real future they're investing in. After all, who would be better to run a replicant company than an actual replicant?

What does one do when they're born at the top? They work on dragging others down alongside them. This was how Eve planned on getting the role they desired. They told themself that if they could prove that the current administration was incompetent, then the board would have no choice but to remove Claire Stone and elect a new CEO in her place. Claire and her allies would fall, and Eve would be there to pick up the pieces. They'd remake the company into something new--- a new era for Stoneage and the city.

How will they enact their plan? You'll have to wait and see. ;)
