Drabble prompt: Z: zzz's (bed-sharing)

Ended up with a double drabble (so 200 words) of newly adopted Red Team Sharkface sharing a bunk with Donut :) I am not good at writing to exact word counts but this was a fun challenge

“Well, guess that leaves you and me, bunkmate!” Donut announced, gesturing to the only open bunk left, the one above where Sarge was passed out snoring.

“Sure, whatever.” Sharkface didn't care where as long as he could pass out for a while. He slung his duffel bag of armor pieces against the wall with the rest of his new team's and climbed up to the top bunk to settle against the wall.

Donut hit the lights and shuffled up after him.

“You're not a blanket thief, I hope!” he whispered, shimmying down the mattress awkwardly to get into place. Sharkface swallowed awkwardly as Donut's backside wiggled across his front.

“Guess we'll find out," he said roughly.

“Though I don't mind if you're a snuggler,” Donut added. It was dark but Sharkface was certain that had been said with a wink.

Sharkface sighed. “Just go to sleep.” Donut had been excited earlier about 'sleepover activities', but that could be rescheduled for when he wasn't recovering from a Freelancer-grade ass-kicking.

“Good night, Sharky!” Donut whispered, grabbing his arm and pulling it around his middle. Sharkface frowned, but... he had to admit the human contact was nice. He hugged Donut closer.

“...g’night, Donut.”

ok you guys wanted to see my rvb ship names so i did quick chibis for them!! i’ll do explanations under the cut

sweet tooth: i’ve made a post about them before! sweet for donut obviously because pastry, and tooth for the design on sharkie’s helmet

freezer burn: do i have to elaborate

(or, if freezer burn reminds you too much of the rwby ship name, there’s frost bite for the same reasoning as tooth in sweet tooth)

tudor rose: wyoming is british (/derogatory) and butch flowers lends itself to a lot of pretty floral names! the tudor rose is an emblem of the english royal house of tudor

aqua marine: tucker’s armor color is aqua, and allison joined the unsc as a marine (ok, tex isn’t allison, but she’s probably got the same training/skillsets/etc). and aquamarine is a pretty gemstone!
