Comes in here with a longass post hello! Been meaning to get around to illustrating some Species Headcanons @humming-fly @alagaesia-overlord and I have been cooking up! Major props to them for helping me write the script hahaha it wouldn't have been possible without them!

This is a little segment I have been wanting to try for a bit, just a nice moment to dispense lore in a fun way! I can't promise that more will be out in a necessarily timely manner, but I can promise that more will be on its way. Someday!

Anyway, Vander loves nicknames. Like, a lot a lot. He loves nicknames. What one's? Great question. Take a guess. He loves playing games with you and this is one of those games

Guess.

If you said anything along the lines of sweetheart, love, sweetie, or honey. You'd be right. He loves using generic nicknames with you because he wants to be as domestic as possible.

He likes to feel like his life is as normal as can be despite it being absolutely the opposite of that. He loves his children, and he loves you, so why not make the most of it? At least, that's what he figures.

The wackiest shit happens sometimes. There's a real mix of interactions in his little family and we living for all of them.

His kids are all extraordinary. Mylo is very charismatic and is able to talk his way out of a lot of trouble, Claggor is great at lifting heavy shit, Vi can punch the daylights out of everyone, and Powder has the potential to be a great inventor someday. His goal is to inspire them all to be the best versions of themselves and to always be kind when they're able to despite living in the meanest area around.

You are also very intertwined with his children's lives to the point where they're basically your kids as well. If you didn't want that, break up with him. He's a package deal. All or nothing.

"It's a bomb."

"She means- uhm- it's full of confetti...? For... For Mylo's birthday! Y'know, that's totally coming up soon."

The kids treat you like a member of the family as well if you couldn't tell. They latch onto you, some take longer than others but they all eventually view you as their other parent.

First it was Powder, then it was Claggor, followed by Vi and then Mylo a little later on.

Vander actually wants to make it official with you someday and make you stay with him and his family forever by proposing to you, but with the current state of the Undercity, he may never get to. He's a busy, busy man, trying to hold the Lanes together. Sometimes, he gets too focused on that and forgets to share his attention around when crime is really bad.

But even just being around helps him out 🫡

I kept coming back to this au. More specifically the part where Dee and Leon r trapped in the prison dimension. Like Rise animators did a cool job on animating the squishy fleshy organic dead alien race stuff in the movie! Look at this!

I imagine surviving in a dead wasteland full of decay and corpses and echoes with a lunatic hunting u down 24/7 wouldn't be fun. What horrors do u think they would witness while trying not to bleed out and die? What trauma would Kraang inflict on these two? Revenge and rage are the only things fueling that war criminal & truly I don't think there's anything holding that guy back (for the love of everything I hope the bois don't have to fight any other rise kraang tech, it's genuinely terrifying they're literally gonna die Do NOT let that maniac get their tentacles on anything else besides the weird corpse armour they're wearing plz & thank u)

These poor kids. Leon went from the movie events to this, and Donnie literally got poofed to atoms before popping up in the middle of a child murder. Wowza how overwhelming. The one thing that keeps popping up into my mind is the two of them huddling together under some ruins or holding hands bcuz they're too afraid 2 end up separating and dying alone. How strange would it be. To have a different version of ur brother(- not quite a stranger bcuz there's still similarities that he shares with ur own, he's a brother, he's not urs but there's another versión of u running around, there's a whole nother universe bcuz of course there is and somehow ur still bros in it and he's here instead of his home he's right here) how strange it must be to this different face, different voice and eyes and mannerisms an entire new soul as ur only anchor. To be the only thing to keep u from falling apart. To see each other as a constant reminder of what they wished they had, of wanting to their families, of wanting to just leave this hellscape where things don't make sense and just go home.

But when they do finally get rescued there is no feeling of safety or realness or even a home to greet them. Only a sense of wrong & confusion & hurt & the equally trembling hand holding ur own and those scared haunted eyes that followed u since the horror show of the prison dimension.

(Trauma bond!! Yay🎉)

How would Leon and Dee interact with each other at first and how did it change as they continued to survive? What was it exactly that made them start clinging to each other? Would it become a habit for them both to go reaching for the other even when nothing is said or done?

And and!! I was thinking about the 2 angst paths u set out too. They're both sooo good!! Honestly u have such a big brain where do u keep coming up with these genius ideas! The custody battle route is very angsty :)) heehehehe. Rise splints and Don having no problem stopping Dee from going home with his family for Leon is so sweet and also AUUUGHH!! They're literally willing 2 do whatever is needed to keep their family safe & happy and I cry but then I remember the 2012 fam being the same & then i cry again

Also ur so right d 2012 bros have never been apart for long, they literally spent 15 yrs of their life together bcuz together meant safe and safe meant home. They're literally heat seeking missiles for each other even in the show. With them it's either they all die or none of them do. How painful it must be to be ripped apart so suddenly like that :((

I kinda lost interest for a while, but recently I've got back into it and man I missed drawing these guys...

I thought about finally putting in my AU from August last year, where Mikey basically ask Drax to help him fully activate his powers so that he could protect his older brothers, but instead, he accidentally wrecks the ritual and loses all his powers (temporarily, but he doesn't know that)

So Drax is trying to help him, but Mikey's frantic because he doesn't want the rest of his family to know he attempted this.

Therefore he runs off to the hidden city, to find a way to bring back his powers (The library is his last resort since he's kinda forever banned ✌️)

And then stuff happens (...) Dunno if you'd actually want me to continue this au, if not I'll just stop with this post, but if you do, I'll happily share more info. 👍

But in the meantime he gets into more trouble and ends up in the deepest part of the hidden city, where many dangerous creatures reside....Also there's Leatherhead (He is very much needed in the series and I hope if they continue the series, he'll appear and be Mikey's friend as was meant to be)

I'm not confident in my art abilities, but if I can/have the time to draw, I will draw for asks. The majority will be in text or screenshots (if I can find any) though.

Since I headcanon that Lucky uses sign language most of the time, (These are the translations for it). I'm using a translator that uses emojis to imitate sign language, which is hopefully accurate. If it's not, please let me know and I'll find another way to showcase this.

can he help cheer up bokuto? yes! but he can't do the exact same with you, doesn't want to . the first time he cheers you up he chooses a distraction or stupid joke to try to get you to laugh. if he notices it isn't working, he'll sincerely tell you he's here to listen if you want to talk (though maybe a bit awkwardly)

surely this isn't just a me/pinoy thing but like. you know at big gatherings when the adults make all the kids/teens go up for a game or something. he has literally tried to hide to avoid it before. he's so tense.. 🧍🏻‍♂️ on the side.. maybe if there's a fantastic prize he'll put in some effort but if it's just like. "whoever wins gets food first!" he cannot be bothered to embarrass himself 😭

was really groggy one morning and tried twisting a jar cap right to open it. for way too long. he isn't one to mix up his lefts and rights but something was Not working in his head that day.. once he realized he kinda stared at it like [ . . . ] grateful nobody witnessed it

keeps his arm behind you on the back of the couch while you're sitting together. not necessarily touching you, but he might fiddle with your shirt fabric or hair, rub the back of your neck mindlessly... he doesn't notice unless you react, and then he amps it up on purpose hsbdjdjs

sees a video of someone using bang glue As strands of his own hair falls in his face and he genuinely contemplates buying some for a bit. then he imagines his teammates noticing and he grimaces. pushes the hair away and keeps scrolling

struggles with being romantic... he thinks of casual date ideas and he's like, well you could just do that with a friend. but is an expensive dinner trying hard. should he dress up. you have to reassure him the casual date idea is a date because You're Dating, and you'd be just as happy with them.

texts "k" every so often. then bokuto got 🙁 and he used "okay 👍" the next time. went back to "k" a couple days after though

Things I Noticed While Writing Light The Fuse: Part 7, Episode 3

It's funny, half the time the car doesn't have plates and other times it does lol at some point I'll do one big post about it

Meredith's so cute lol I looked up Michigan while I was writing and yup sure does, that's something you don't notice as a Canadian 😅 the only thing I ever learned about my map was that Lake Huron looks like a donkey

My family owns an antique shop and a few vendors like to bring in stuff like license plates cause I guess that's a popular collectable, so whenever I'm browsing the new stuff and I see Detroit I go 'wow just like Ethan' 😊 also he's very cute here, he makes me also wanna sit and playflirt with him 👉👈😊

Ethan control those eyes man they're outta control! Also love how this is Meredith doing this just to mess with not only Ethan but also Matty, all while he's watching in (totally real but sadly unknown) jealousy and protectiveness. Wow, love these boys, Meredith could've matched them up so fast if Ethan wasn't a canon dumbass 🙄
