2, 4, 7 & 37 for the OC Questions!
2. Do you have a personal favourite among your OCs?
sigh... it seems like these two are answer to every second question but... Paju (Willow) and Rhiam....... I just love them so much. They are very personal to me and I feel like there is most "me" poured into them.
Tumblr media
4. A character you rarely talk about?
Idk if I talk a lot about any of my characters besides I guess Rhiam lately? But here's a character I've drawn and thought a lot but shared almost none as she is a character to a graphic novel me, @artist-rat & @iijadraws were working on (still on indefinite pause & not posted anywhere). We all designed one protagonist for the story and my contribution is Kasimira or Kaipo for short. She is a princess to an empire who ends up far away from home during a traditional competition between emperors/empress' children to determine the next heir to the throne. She'd rather stay home and continue her relatively comortable life, but she doesn't trust that her power hungry older stepbrother would let her keep that if she lost.
Tumblr media
7. Are your OCs part of any story or stories?
I think... all of them have some kind of story? For most of them I have some sort of book or comic projects planned (whether I actually make those isn't that important but I like to dream ✹). Some are "just" game charactes I've created but even then they do have a story. And I might have plans to snatch them for other projects as well.
37. Introduce an OC who is not quite human
Marras is a god of shipwrecks and keeper of sunken treasures and souls lost at sea in my and Rat's anotherrr comic draft world. They (he?) are a minor and not-really-worshipped deity, he (they?) works under a more prominent sea god Salvia. He has many forms including a gigantic deep sea beast, shoal of fish, a cat with too many legs and his version of a human. Though his idea of how humans look is based on corpses rotting in water and sunken ship's figureheads so it is a bit... off. And why a cat amongst other things? Well in his past life he was indeed a ship's cat. The vessel he was on sunk and the crew left the poor cat behind and Salvia took pity in it and made it a god. As you do.
He could have a more morbid look on life, but he's in fact quite cheerful. You might be even able to struck a deal with him if you are lucky enough, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. For he usually only shows up to sink your ship if you have stolen something from him.

Genuinely I think SpiderAxl has the potential to be a fun ship. Like you've got this jaded mercenary paired with this hyperactive assassin thats a hunter because he was so driven by his morality.
At first Spider doesn't have the greatest impression of Axl, mostly seeing him as most people do: some weird, overexcited Hunter fanboy. Axl's enthusiastic, but not super thrilled with having to work with an uncaring mercenary that openly admits that he'd have their heads if someone paid enough.
But then they work together! Spider finds that Axl isn't so naive and is just as much of a smartass as Spider himself is! Axl sees that Spider treats him as more than a loose cannon or a rookie. They even bond over their past mercenary work.
Axl reinvigorates Spiders justice, and Spider reasserts Axls sense of self and competence.
Then the angst...

I refuse to believe it was drawn in anger. It was someone who secretly loved werewolves and wanted him to feel better, but had to disguise it as a diss to not be persecuted.
That's my headcanon now, screw reality. What are they gonna do, time travel to the future to sue me? *looks around nervously, then breaths a sign of relief* Well, I though so!
Thinking about the werewolf from the hate mail Lemgo council pharmacist David Welman (1595 - 1669) got after being accused of being a werewolf

Little thing for the Time God AU!
Siffrin tries to keep the fact that he's a god a secret from most people outside of the family. He still wants to be treated like a normal person and all. So like, if someone asks about the paper stars in his hair, he'll say he just thought they were a cute accessory, he wouldn't tell them that they're prayers.
Also, I headcanon that all gods in ISAT can do Body Craft (shapesift) whenever they want, so once the Change God helps Sif figure out how to do that, he makes a fake "godly" look for when he needs to show up as the Time God. Keeping this as a simple headcanon for the AU, though, 'cause I can't tell if this is dumb or not.
Loop is kind enough to respect this and keep the "Siffrin's the Time God" thing a secret, but they still make their jokes.

In Supernatural, what are sentient beings made of?
We know humans have souls, angels grace, nephilim both and monsters neither.
But let’s start off with some questions:
What are soulless humans, graceless angels? If a soulless human dies, do they reconnect with their soul wherever it went? Can a soul alone be a ghost or does it need the rest for that (if it does, how can it have a form in hell? Is it like angels in heaven having form without nessesarily having vessels?). Why do soulless humans tend to go evil along with needing less maintenance to stay alive, but graceless angels stay themselves just with more human-like needs?
Here’s how I see it:
When anybody doesn’t have a body/vessel, they look like either the last one they did have or like their favorite one or sometimes (when they’re in the physical world) like light (angels, human souls) or smoke (demons).
🧍Humans have three parts - their body, themselves and their soul to guide them. Their souls tell them what’s good/evil and lets them feel emotions. When they die they go to heaven or hell (decided by their actions in life) or stay on earth as ghosts (if they have something tethering them down) (remains of their body or an important object), humans get conserved in heaven, their souls get corrupted in hell and ghosts eventually go crazy then fade away. Human souls hold a lot of power and are very valuable and complex. Soulless humans can’t tell apart good and evil and don’t feel emotions. The maintenance required for their bodies is lessened (no need to eat or sleep). Humans can leave their bodies but need external help and ghosts can possess the bodies of others (just like demons).
😈 Demons have two parts - themselves and a corrupted soul (the corruption is the source of their powers) (their soul can be healed and they can regain some human traits), they need to use a vessel to talk to people. Demons can’t feel most emotions. Demon souls are bad and worthless and soul-eaters will eat the entire demon. When they die they go to the empty (I think a soul is the requirement to enter heaven or hell for an afterlife).
😇 Angels also have two parts - themselves and their grace. No soul so they don’t inherently know good/evil but they can learn. They need vessels to talk to most people (some can hear them). Their grace gives them their powers and keeps them alive without the need to maintain their vessels. Angels can feel emotions but aren’t supposed to (I think they get the capacity for emotions from their vessels). Graceless, angels need to eat, sleep etc. and can’t do anything a human can’t, changing bodies included. When an angel dies, it goes to the empty.
đŸȘœNephilim (half human, half angel/angel variant) have four parts - themselves, a body, a soul and grace. Soul lets them feel emotions and tell the difference between good and evil. Grace holds them together and gives them powers. They can’t leave their bodies. They get unstable without grace and cannot survive. When they die they either go to heaven/hell or to the empty, it’s controversial.
🌟 Gods have two to three parts - themselves, the thing that gives them their powers (god grace) and sometimes their body (some gods don’t need a physical form but can have one). The gods that need to have bodies also need to eat (I don’t know if they can die of hunger but they can definitely suffer) and probably sleep. The gods that don’t need bodies don’t have to maintain the ones that they use. If a god looses it’s powers it’s similar to a graceless angel. We don’t know what happens when they die but I’d guess the empty.
🩈 Leviathan have one part - the goo. It’s them. It can take any shape. They shapesift into anybody they touch (need for a genetic blueprint to make a body). They can all be part of a liquid and remain separate entities. They need to eat. They can’t feel most emotions. When they die, they get sent to purgatory and take everybody in their vicinity with them (no body left behind because they’re 1 part). When they die in purgatory they rot and flowers grow from their corpse.
🧟 Monsters have two parts - their bodies and themselves. Abilities vary but most need to at least eat. Their bodies have their powers built in. When they die, they get sent to purgatory (where they still have their powers) and when they die there they rot away.
đŸș Monsters that are derived from humans (vampires, werewolves, stuff like that) have two to three parts - themselves, their bodies and I think some have souls. Let me explain, I think that when a human gets turned into a monster, they keep their soul at first. They start out with a soul and can usually choose to keep their humanity (chance at a cure in some cases) or reject it and loose the ability to tell apart good and evil and to feel emotions (usually caused by the act of killing/eating someone for the first time - no chance to turn back into a human). Their powers get built into their bodies. I don’t know if monsters that were born have souls. Depending on a monsters environment, they can sometimes choose to be good or evil. The transformation is like a rebirth and they loose the ability to go to heaven/hell if they die a monster, they go to purgatory (powers kept) and if they die there, they rot away.
đŸ‘» Ghosts I think have two parts - themselves and their souls. When they exist for too long (time varies) they start to forget themselves and their form degrades and their powers get more violent. If their tether to the world is destroyed, they get sent to their afterlife (they burn if hell and shine if heaven as they go usually).
But what do we call the “themselves” part?
I will now try to answer my questions from earlier

Q: What are soulless humans, graceless angels?
A: Soulless humans are like the monsters that used to be human, they lost their good/bad/emotions and have the ability to get their humanity back. Graceless angels are practically human, they’re humans that don’t need souls because their minds are wired differently (we know that from the mind reader who hears people’s thoughts that said Cas thinks in colours).
Q: If a soulless human dies, do they reconnect with their soul wherever it went?
A: I think yes, just like they reconnect when it’s the opposite, the soul getting brought back from heaven/hell/a jar/anywere.
Q: Can a soul alone be a ghost or does it need the rest for that (if it does, how can it have a form in hell? Is it like angels in heaven having form without nessesarily having vessels?).
A: A soul alone can’t be a ghost, it’s shapeless energy. A ghost needs themselves to keep their form and thoughts and memories. As for the forms in heaven/hell, I think that everybody who doesn’t have a body in heaven or hell just looks like their last/favorite vessel. Sam’s soul (even if just a part of him) looked like Sam because that’s the form it was used to and anything’s possible in hell (vis. the various people describing how they were tortured). Humans seem to revert back to their basic form when out of their bodies (no injuries, whatever age they feel like). Part of the typical hell torture cycle is that they periodically revert you back to your basic form (before you were hurt) so they can start over, that’s why I think sam’s soul looked like Sam (also so we would recognize it).
Q: Why do soulless humans tend to go evil along with needing less maintenance to stay alive, but graceless angels stay themselves just with more human-like needs?
A: I think that humans get their ability to differentiate good and evil and feel emotions from their souls and angels get the ability to feel emotions from their vessels. Angels don’t have the big personality change because they already had to learn what’s good/evil on their own/ were told what’s what by their superiors. They’ve never been guided by a soul. Their grace gives them powers and protection but not guidance. Angels get way more human-like without grace because nothing is protecting their vessel anymore or them from it (the vessel has a bigger impact on the graceless angel).
Q: But what do we call the “themselves” part?
A: Idk but I’d love to hear your suggestions

Anyways, thanks for reading my thoughts on this!

So, incredibly specific, but I feel like I'm a shapesifter with three favorite forms. A dog, cat, and fynx (fox-lynx). They also feel like separate chacters in my head. I'm not a system, just to be clear that they aren't alters.
Alrighty, pre-qustion story out of the way. So my questions are:
1: Am I impersonating a system by making my kins sonas and giving them names?
2: Do a lot of non-humans make their kins into OCs/fursonas?
3. Is it possible to be both a therian and otherkin?
Heya!! Omg a shapeshifting fynx that's such a cool kintype!
1. I'm going to give my take but I'm not a system (though I am questioning but that's a post for another day.../lh) so I'll leave the notes open for anyone to correct me (and add a couple system tags for reach)! In my opinion, no, that's not impersonating a system. From what I understand you're just making OCs which happen to be inspired by your kintypes and that seems perfectly fine to me! If it's about changing your identity, then genderfluid people use different names and pronouns on different days too.
2. Yes!! They're called kinsonas!! To my knowledge they are at least LOL. I think they're more common in the fictionkin community but you can do it for any kintype. It's really just creating with your kin as the muse! I have 2 OCs in a story based on my 2 highest kintypes.
Add-on to the 2 above: Aster isn't my real name, it's part of my werewolfsona I use to run this blog! I'm considering it as a chosen name but this is the only place Aster exists. Also if you're a spiritual origins kin, the feeling like they're characters might be past life memories but I'm not the person qualified to talk on that.
3. Yep! Not sure if you mean labels or kintypes but it works for both! The otherkin label is often used as an umbrella term that encompasses therianthropy so technically you could already call yourself otherkin! Otherwise it's totally possible to have otherkin kintypes as well as theriotypes. It's no different to having more than 1 theriotype, it's just something other than an animal on earth. My kinlist encompasses theriotypes, otherkintypes, fictotypes & even an objectkin!
Also I think a shapeshifter as a species would already be considered otherkin as it's not a species found on Earth/in nature (to our knowledge at least)!
Sorry this was kinda lengthy, I hope some of it was helpful! Thank you for reaching out.

Biwwie!!!! đŸ€©
Check Out my goatsona as a character that my friend did for me.
Their pronouns are she/they, she's AroAce. So she fights people who flirt with her, is not a yapper when you meet first me her, but does nonstop when you get to know her better. She's Flawed, Friendly, Chaotic, has a tendency to fight people who overcompensate a lot, and she's an ankle breaker. She's a shape shifter than can have the abilities of who they change into and they can fly.
Still finding a name for them.

"They looks so cool- She fights with people too AND A SHAPESÄ°FTER?! SHE GOT POWERS AS WELL!?! Ä° want to become friends with her so bad... Maybe they'll teach me how to fight as well"
(Mod: They looks pretty rad!!! Ä° think Rhaenya or Roxi would suit her!)
[reminder: pls don't tag other people's blogs if they are not in rp or doesn't know!]

Blaze is a shapesifter
It's kinda clear that he Can shapeshift into things (thats litterally One of his powers) but what can he turn into?
Animals
There was a whole side series that had him turning into animals, those animals being A shark, Lion, hawk, ant, etc.
Other machinery
The thing he mostly turns into, other types of machinery, gadgets, etc. He is also able to transform others into things, mainly his friends.
How long Can Blaze Stay in a transformation? How long Can his friends Stay in a transformation? Who Can and Can't be transformed? Can Blaze get stuck in a transformation? What Can Blaze turn into? Can he turn into other types of trucks?

Seems like Edgar got bored of just sitting around in the trees but in his short exploration, his tiny cat body jumps about a foot in the air when he unexpectedly comes across the fox in the grass. He’s not actually aware of the fact that this is a person too, just that this could be an animal that he isn’t exactly looking to provoke. His tail fluffs up, and the fur on his back bristles as he backs up a few steps, hoping he hasn’t woken them.
contently, kuya is trotting around in his fox form. maintaining a human form with such little essence was tough for the yokai, while it was as natural as breathing in terms of switching between both forms. it seems the debilitating circumstances have affected him more than he assumed. so, proudly, he finds a nice little spot of soft grass and plops down with a huff. a yawn full of sharp teeth and exhausted sigh, kuya tucks his head into the fluff of his tail and begins to snooze.
