Commissioned Art
I was honored to draw for one of the amazingly talented Youtube AMV artists; "DiceyShipping"! She and some of her friends really adore a crack-pair between Richie & Melody. Now that I drew it out, it turned out really cute! (One drawing is flat background the other is a transparent background) If you like what you see here and would love to see a pairing or even just your favorite character in my style, contact me via email @ [email protected]. I'll email you back my commission prices and we can go from there!

@hoshi-neko-hikari continued from here “What a meanie!” Hikari grumbled at the collector
"Yes. But that collector will not disturb us anymore. He is long gone." Lugia said.

Just like the three Legendaries birds, Lugia is bound to an Orb. In the hidden, underwater part of Shamouti’s Shrine, Crys will find it again after it was dormant for centuries. The Orb resonates with hers and Lugia’s Inner Song~
(Inspired by a visual from the Pokémon Worlds video)

As I prepare to post the second chapter of God in the Midst, I realize I don't talk about it a lot or at all on here. I am working on it — it is coming along, and the adventures in the Orange Islands have only begun.
To begin the long journey, I first want to share a document. A proud accomplishment for this fanfic is that I have created a language — the Shamoutian Language.
Since this will be playing a very integral part to the story from the beginning, I will still be adding notes to the final notes of each chapter. Buuuut, this gives you slightly more lore than you would get otherwise right away — and there are plenty of easter eggs in here for you to find. Enjoy.

Drake (Orange Islands): You know, we both have something in common, Leon.
Leon: Hmm?
Drake: We both lost.
Leon: Both lost to what....
Drake: Both lost to the same kid. The one with the Pikachu.
Leon: Wait, you mean Ash?
Drake: Pfft. Yeah. You see, back then, I was the undefeatable champion of the Orange Islands, and wanted someone strong enough to beat me, but that changed when Ash came. Not only that, but he was also the hero.
Leon: The hero?
Drake: Yeah. He's the Chosen One of the Shamouti Prophecy.
Leon: ..... Oh my goodness. Lance was right.
Drake: Huh? What do you mean by that?
Leon: Ash always get involved into a lot of regional disasters and meeting legendary Pokemon. He even met Arceus in Sinnoh too.
Drake: HE WHAT NOW?!!
Ash sneezes across the world and wonders if he accidentally snorted to much dust from that face-plant he did that morning

Farewell to You, ch 6
Togetic flew over to Misty, tears rolling down its face. Misty was frozen for a second before she started to cry tears of happiness. She gushed, "You came back!"
Mitsy hugged Togetic so tightly as both mother and daughter both started to cry. Misty pulled out of their hug.
Lucy asked, "But what is Togetic doing here? Wasn't it supposed to stay in the Togepi Paradise? Isn't that what you told me, Brock?"
Kenny pointed out, "Maybe it sensed what was going on here and wanted to help."
Goh stated, "That's a good point."
Misty turned to Togetic, "If you are, that's wonderful news!"
Chloe frowned, "I think it wants to stay."
Misty's eyes widen as she turned to Togetic, "Is that true?"
To that, Togetic nodded happily. Misty had tears in her eyes as she brought out a pokeball. Togetic went in it and the red light dimmed. Ash was beyond happy for Misty.
Solidad stated, "Now that's what I call a happy ending."
Harley added, "Got that right, hun."
Brandon told them, "It still doesn't change the fact that we have no idea where Lugia is."
Luka thought for a moment and said, "We might." Everyone looked at her and she explained, "Lately Silver has been having a visitor. Another Lugia." Everyone gasped. She added, "And no one knows where it came from."
Anabel admitted, "It's a bit of a stretch but I think we should check it out."
Ash told everyone, "Let's split up. Dawn, Kenny, Paul, Ranee, Zoey, Todd, Barry, and Bianca will check out Mount Coronet. Misty, me, Brock, Brandon, Luka, and Lucy will check out near Ogi Island. Everyone else stand-by here in case something go south."
To that, everyone nodded. Dawn recalled Buneary. Dawn gave Johana a hug before she left. Johana returned it, kissing Dawn's head. They parted from their hug. Dawn went over to Ash.
Dawn told Ash, "Be careful."
Ash replied, "You too. You got this."
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Piplup!" Piplup said.
Barry said farewell to Palmer, who waved goodbye. With that, Dawn's team headed out. The weather had stopped changing for a few minutes as Ash turned to his mom. He gave her a quick hug. She returned it.
Delia whispered, "Be careful, Ash."
Ash winked teasingly, "You ought to know me better than that."
Delia laughed as she messed up his hair. Ash laughed as he turned to his team. They all nodded and then started to head out.
Misty told her sisters, "Wish us luck!"
Daisy, Lily, and Violet all said, "Luck."
As Ash's group left, Delia was crying. She was proud of the man that her son had become.
Palmer told her, "You know that they're going to be okay."
Delia sniffled, "I know... But you know as well as I do, I still worry."
Johanna admitted, "And that's when Dawn says not to worry, I still do. There's nothing wrong with that, Delia."
Professor Oak said, "That's so true. I worry about Andrew and Gary all of the time." He paused and slightly teased, "Someone has to."
Gary shot his grandpa a look, "Oh ha ha, gramps."
To that, Professor Oak chuckled. Max turned to Molly.
He asked, "Are you okay, Molly?"
Molly admitted, "Yeah, guess so. Thanks for checking on me, Max."
Max blushed, "Anytime."
To that, Molly blushed.
Anabel told Looker, "I think we should go to Shamouti too."
Looker nodded in agreement, "If anyone else wants to go with us, they are more than welcomed to."
Gary and Erika decided to go with them. The rest of them stayed behind, just in case.
...
Back with Dawn's group, they were climbing Mount Coronet. Dawn had grabbed her heavy coat from her backpack and put it on. It was starting to get really cold. Everyone had done the same thing. Kenny was wearing a light green heavy coat. Paul was wearing a dark purple heavy coat. Ranee was wearing a dark purple heavy coat. Zoey was wearing a yellow heavy jacket. Todd was wearing a red heavy coat. Barry was wearing an orange heavy jacket. Bianca was wearing an orange and white heavy jacket.
Dawn was clutching Piplup close. So close that Piplup was struggling in her grip.
"Pip!" Piplup complained.
Dawn perked up, letting go of her Water type.
She apologized, "Sorry."
Kenny asked, "Are you alright?"
Dawn admitted, "Not really... Just stressed. And scared..."
Kenny raised a brow, "This coming from the girl that says 'no need to worry' constantly? And the one that helped save the world more than once?"
Dawn blushed, "Kenny..."
Kenny told her, "Listen Dawn, there's nothing to be worried about. We have amazing teammates and an amazing leader. I know we can do this. We can do this together."
Dawn kissed him, making Kenny blush. Dawn pulled out of the kiss. She smiled at him.
She said, "Thanks Kenny."
Kenny stated, "Anytime, Dee-Dee."
Dawn flushed out of embarrassment but didn't protest.
Paul asked, "You two done yet?"
Dawn and Kenny both blushed as the rest of the group laughed.
Todd stated, "I can't wait to see Articuno again. Maybe I could get its picture again."
Zoey asked, "You really like taking pictures of Pokemon, don't you?"
Todd answered, "Well, yeah. It's always been a passion of mine."
Zoey stated, "That's pretty cool."
Todd blushed as he admitted quietly, "You're pretty cool."
Zoey perked up, "Wait, what?"
Todd faked a cough, "Coughing! I was coughing! Those weren't words."
Paul groaned, "I'm surrounded by idiots."
Ranee pointed out, "You're dating me so what's your point?"
To that, Paul flushed. Everyone laughed. Barry had Bianca's hand, smiling at her. Bianca laced their fingers, keeping him close.
Barry asked, "Are we getting there?"
Bianca admitted, "Not sure cause it seems like this mountain keeps going."
Barry stated, "I hope we don't get there too late."
Bianca shuffled herself a bit closer to her boyfriend, "Same..."
A shriek caught their attention. The team perked up. That's when they saw Articuno.
Todd breathed, "Articuno..."
Zoey stated, "It's beautiful."
Barry told the Ice/Flying type, "Articuno, we've come to warn you. The other legendary birds have been collected."
Articuno perked up, shrieking in surprise.
Bianca confirmed, "It's true. And we've come to protect you as well."
Dawn asked, "Do you know where Lugia is...? Maybe it can help?"
"Pip!" Piplup said.
Articuno shrieked as if it didn't know.
Kenny frowned, "That sounded like a no."
Before anything could happen, the weather changed again. This time, it was hailing.
Paul groaned, "Oh great, as if things couldn't get any worse."
That's when the airship appeared.
...

So, You Want To See A Legendary Pokemon
This blog is primarily about caring for, owning, or directly interacting with Legendary and Mythical Pokemon - which is absolutely not for everyone and can be infeasible or outright dangerous for many people. So, interacting seriously with Legendaries, even through volunteering, is not easy.
However, there are ways of seeing and interacting with Legendaries that are safe, feasible, accessible, and outright easy! And in this post and a couple others, I'm going to detail some - whether you're an enthusiast, a professor, a current or future owner, or just curious, this is a post anyone can follow up on.
To start with, I'll go over places where it's easy to spot and see wild Legendary Pokemon, with low or no risk (below the cut, because long post):
Legendary birds tend to migrate to follow their preferred weather, particularly Kantonian Articuno and Moltres. If you find yourself in the extreme north or south in fall, you'll probably see Articuno arriving after a long global migration, heading for wintry ice cliffs. Mountain-dwelling Articuno rarely move, but those that live in the poles often do. But around high mountains, there are in fact Articuno - but those places are extremely hostile to people, as are the residents, so I don't recommend it unless you're highly prepared.
In spring, if you happen to be near a volcano, you might just see a Moltres - they hunt across the globe, particularly in grasslands where they can spark fires to flush out prey easily and there are few trees for them to accidentally light on fire while trying to rest, but volcanic soil and crags are their preference for nesting. Extinct volcanoes and regular mountains are also nesting places - famously, there are Moltres nesting near the Kanto-Johto Pokemon League - but the more active it is short of active eruption, the more likely you are to find a Moltres, as they love lava. The Alolan volcanic chain, being particularly active, is also famous as a Moltres nesting site. Do NOT approach nesting or bathing Moltres...but they are pretty safe and fun to watch.
Another great place for Bird watchers is Shamouti and the surrounding islands, with a bonus of a native Lugia or two. The Birds are notoriously unfriendly and their home islands are barred to laypeople, but they're easily observed from the Shamouti beaches or dedicated bird-watching boat tours. The native Lugia are reclusive and rarely seen, but quite friendly as long as they don't perceive a threat from you. There's even plenty of video of tourists being photobombed by them, or getting to pet or interact with them. The same specimens have also been sighted in the Orange Islands, but less often.
Ecruteak City is one of the best places in the world to see Legendary Pokemon! A family of Ho-Oh nests there, a Lugia used to, and Suicune, Entei, and Raikou pass through very frequently. Because so many live there or pass through, Legendary Trainers are also quite likely to go there, and it's a bit of a gathering spot. Any person strolling through the city is more likely than not to see at least one. As with the Shamouti Lugia, they're quite friendly, but well-guarded - don't try anything funny, trust me. I'm not allowed to talk in too much detail about the security in place, but I do know it's there.
The coast of Sootopolis is another great place to spot Pokemon. Latias and Latios are fairly frequently sighted on Hoenn's coasts fishing, flying, and playing during the summer - and during the winter and spring, Kyogre pods sometimes move through, though those are sighted more often far out to sea or near the poles.
There are a couple islands off the coast of Sinnoh where Cresselia and Darkrai tend to gather, though the latter can be difficult to approach as they're skittish and may give you nightmares if they're spooked...which is harmless, I'll be honest. Part of being approved to work with Darkrai is being intentionally hit by their nightmare powers and while the nightmares are deeply unpleasant, it's not that awful and as soon as you wake up, it's over. Cresselia, similarly, have an unpleasant but harmless defense mechanism - they make you really, really dizzy. It only lasts a couple minutes, and it's not awful if you lay down, and thankfully they're not as easily spooked.
Hoopa and Diancie seem to be drawn to Anistar city, seemingly by the sundial. They're usually reserved, and won't approach you, but it's quite fun to walk through the city and see them hanging around like any member of the crowd.
On all four Alolan Islands, the Tapu are quite close with the native people, and relatively friendly to tourists as long as you remain respectful to them and to the local flora and fauna. If you're cautious and polite, even strangers can approach them when they're out and about.
There is a location in Kalos called the All-Earth forest, where both Xerneas and Yveltal like to gather. Guided tours are available, and they have a pretty good success rate of spotting them, given that they know where the tours go and generally like to say hi. Even if you don't see a Legendary, the forest is beautiful, as is the massive waterfall that tours tend to swing by.
There are a few Mewtwo that are quite public and open about their existence and openly interact with people. Several Pokemon with the capacity of communication can legally emancipate themselves - being legally regarded as human from then on and owning their own Pokeball - and a famous example is the original Mewtwo, who does book tours and owns a nature reserve. While he's a recluse, his writing is a complete delight. If you've got an interest in Pokemon sapience, human-Pokemon relations, and cloned Pokemon, I highly recommend his works! The rumor in my field is that he's even applying for a Legendary license - which I'll get into those soon - soon or as we speak.

You know I sometimes wonder if Ash ever acknowledged the fact that Misty was the one who saved his a** when he was on the verge of drowning while trying to save the world in “ Pokémon the movie”. I know he was too preoccupied to thank her at that time or he might not have even known since he was unconscious throughout. A part of me was a tad bit disappointed that some dialogues regarding that were never exchanged between the two. I know Misty isn’t the type to go and tell him that “look here mister Pokémon master you know I saved your sorry a** from drowning” but I do wonder if Tracey or someone else ever told him? Would have loved to see his reaction. She put her life at risk for him, gosh I love this pairing <3
I wouldn't be surprised if Ash had some sense that she saved him. I could see him randomly and very casually bringing it up to her one day, almost like "you know, I never thanked you for saving me on Shamouti Island" and really throwing her for a loop. Because, like you said, she believed he had no idea it had even happened.
Whether it's because he was briefly conscious at some point or because Tracey told him, I'm not sure, but I do think he'd know. Personally, I quite like the idea of him briefly regaining consciousness just to see the blurry shape of Misty and, even though he wasn't fully present, knowing it was her.

M02: Lugia's Explosive Birth - VII. Apologize to Your Mother, Young Man
So that's that. The three Legendary Birds decide not to be territorial dicks anymore and go back to their islands to resume generating ocean currents or whatever Oak said their godly duty is.
Lugia takes Ash on a victory lap joy-ride around the islands. Then they swear Ash to secrecy because it's better that the world doesn't know they exist; Sorry to be that guy, but you'll be in the G2 Pokedex, I'm afraid. That ship has sailed.
And then his mom finds out what he did. Hanako/Delia arrives and goes full Chi-Chi, ripping into Ash for daring to risk his life and save the world. He is a child! Doesn't he understand how much it would tear her apart if anything happened to him!?
She softens a bit over the course of the conversation but only as far as, "Reach for your goal but don't overextend yourself, okay?" Okay, mom. Sorry for saving the world. I won't do it again.
(Ash is going to do it again.)
The Rockets make it safely to land, washing up on the shore of Earthia/Shamouti and celebrating the happy ending.
And Dipshit, whose name was not mentioned at any point in the film, is apparently alive and well. He takes his Pokemon TCG Mew card and goes home. I guess we can't everything.

@byeolyeou wanted a starter.
KETCHUM. it was a beautiful, sunny day. the waters of shamouti island were crisp and clear. lapras was bringing them along, trilling happily as it goes. the red trainer is nostalgic, it's been twenty years since it all happened. before he's brought back from his thoughts; glancing to the electric mouse perched on lapras' head.
pi! pik-ka-chu! pi pi pi! ash chuckles fondly, before squirtle pops free of its pokeball, joining lapras in the water. reaching, ash ruffles pikachu's ears. up above them, charizard and dragonite are zig-zagging through the skies.

Because many people forget about it, but Ash is King of the Sea as of the Manaphy movie. I'm just imagining TA!AU Ash disliking going to the beach because he always gets mobbed by baby Water Types and he just wants to relax. Everyone found it so freaking surreal that a bunch of Water Types just charged out of the ocean and onto the beach when Ash was trapped inside that giant Palossand.
Ta!Ash genuinely likes the sea because of Lugia, despite all odds during Shamouti, but being the King of The Sea does leave a damper on his excitement about the water and being fully surrounded by it on all the islands.
Lana continuously tries to get him to swim with her in the morning, as that's when the mothers take the baby water Pokémon out to go hunt and eat, but it's a struggle because Ash likes Lana but he likes his sleep a lot more.
