so it's not the most creative d/r i have, if i'm being completely frank- i just made myself clary with some notable differences.

for starters, it's based on the show, not the books (i know, i'm sorry, i like it, sue me). however, the key differences are as follows~

simon and magnus' face claims are from the movie (my face claim is also different, but it's one i found myself)

i don't lose my memory at 'the end'; jace and the rest make a deal with the angels (which of course we break but what are they gonna do about it, ya know?)

jace and i don't live in the institute~ we have our own apartment in manhatten and i get to paintas much as i like whenever i like

i did the math? the show takes place over about a 6 month period not including the year after when clary has no memory. i want it to take a bit longer because we love filler episodes

lydia is gay.

i speak a ton of languages because i needed to mary sue myself (it was one of my first d/rs)

my special weapons are balisongs, not anything boring like my parent's swords (blegh)

there's background music and no one questions it. i love ruelle too much for my own good. that show had an incredible sounndtrack and i am not losing that for the sake of 'realism'. i'm fighting fucking demons literally every day. why can i not have a cool song playing?

i think i also changed it to take place more in 2020-ish because i would like to not wear 2016core to kill my first demon/meet the love of my life, thank you very much

I feel like focusing on a DR that i had forgotten about for this week. Like the while week its to find the love i once had for this DR again and spent rhis small time only focusing on this one.

The fun part is that most of these are also severely underscripted so part of the focusing would be on actually opening a doc for it. Most only have a Pinterest board, and Fate only has a Notes app basics begginings of a Script.

I think it will be good for me to take a break on obsessing over one of my main DRs and find joy in one of the smaller ones.

i haven’t touched this reality in months so it probably needs some editing BUT isabelle lightwood you are so loved by me … my dr is very canon-divergent because there is so much chaos i don’t feel like dealing with. i just want to do my girlfriend’s makeup, train, do research, and keep people safe!

more below the break so i don’t spam anyone’s timeline:

i originally considered being childhood friends to lovers with izzy, but my brain hurt trying to figure that out so i went with my intuition instead. obviously we are all adults too, this feels self explanatory but i wanted to add it anyway.

with that in mind— simon and i are twins in this reality! i made a couple changes to our heritage, so we do have shadowhunter ancestry but we didn’t know much about it as kids. however, as we grew up, it became pretty clear that we had the sight and something was different about us. this lined up with clary meeting the rest of the shadowhunters, and we all start training around the same time.

clary + i have basically declared ourselves as sisters— we both love art and spend an obnoxious amount of time together. she’s the one who convinces to me to stop yearning over isabelle and finally flirt back instead of shaking in place like a little chihuahua when she looks at me.

i grew up very psychic and often had prophetic dreams (a common theme in most of my realities), so isabelle and i were dreaming about each other before we actually met! i had some awareness of future events and the shadow world, which allowed me to help clary + simon adjust as well. this is how i meet isabelle ❤️ we become inseparable very fast, and we work closely since most of my training was done by her.

i don’t do a lot of physical combat, it is more of a last resort for me! i do have a talent for history, research, + academics, which allows me to dig into secrets and stories that could’ve remained lost otherwise. eventually i train as a witch (since i’ve added it into all of my shadowhunter drs) and have some magic to work with too!

either way, this reality is mostly for the vibes with some loose plot events because i’ve adored this series for years! i hope this answers your question 🫶

💡 - what was your first dr and what is currently your main dr? How and why have you made this switch?

my first dr was shadowhunters (i guess), it was back in 2020... i had just figured out about shifting and shadowhunters is one of my fav shows ever! now my current one is usually the one i've just wrote the script about lol but after every script i write i could say i always come back to supernatural cuz i'm current watching it, so it keeps fresh in my mind.

a fun and complicated thing to explain why... i kind pushed shadowhunters aside cuz firstly when i thought about shifting to there, i had a WHOLE story in my mind! with everything ready... but it was a crossover with pretty little liars and as i have them as separate drs i didn't have a GOOD backstory to shadowhunters. So im still working on the script (hope i could explain well lol)

🏛️ - what do you do in your free time? Who are you with? Where do you go?

on my free time, either i'm playing piano or dancing alone. I love to mix ballet with contemporary dance, it makes me feel free, with a classic song playing in a empty space... it's perfect! i usually go to a studio so i can have some peace to dance alone

Not to incite fear or panic, moreso to just... prepare for the what ifs and eventualities of the future. But if you're responsible for writing a fic, a oneshot, drabble, even just an extended response to an ask, it MIGHT be a good idea (if you've not already done so) To save your works to a folder on your PC/Laptop/Notes app etc. And think about posting them elsewhere, or promoting yourself in a way that readers will be able to find your old work, and possibly keep up with future work. heck, maybe also save a bunch of stuff you HAVENT written, but have read and liked/reblogged. just keep the authors username attached to it. it would suck super bad if you woke up and tumblr was just... gone. along with every dang piece of literature someone has written and uploaded here but not cross-posted to Ao3 for example.
