Overall opinion: I really enjoyed TID. I was surprised to realize that there was a decent amount of things that I didn't remember. I am pretty bitter that the series ends in such a bittersweet way, though I understand why she ended it how she did, I'm still bitter 😤

Unsurprisingly my favorite characters were Tessa, Sophie and Charlotte. I love women in general. I also gained such an understanding and love for Jessamine during my re-read. I also love Henry. In general I love the characters and how complex they are.

While TID isn't my favorite series, it was definately fun to revisit.

I've been doing a read through of the comple Shadowhunter Chronicles up to date (I'm 1/2 way through) I've finished reading TID and TLH and I've been taking really silly notes. I've decided to post the notes I've taken thus far before I start my re-read of TMI. Just a warning, I decided to take notes midway through my re-read of Clockwork Princess so the TID notes are rather short. Anyways I'll be reposting this with my notes of each series so enjoy!

Hello and welcome back! I'm glad my previous advice helped! That is a difficult question as I do admit it is a bit challenging to me as well. It is guesswork + studying references, adjusting tid bits until it looks right, my own process relies on a trial and error approach.

Therefore, I suggest you pick some pieces you like where you find the hair gorgeous, and figuring out how the artist does it, or how might they do it, per active learning principles. Try to deduce it. While the following guide can be good for your starting concepts too, it's important to adapt it to your style and preferences. And I even encourage you to go against it, as creativity thrives on experimentation.

That said, I'll guide you through my own thought process, however. (With a quick Ratio sketch, because I really love to shade his hair; fluffy hair is very forgiving.)

Let's start off here (I'll be skipping the black and white part for simplicity's sake from the previous guide. I'll also be using a white environment with a pale overlight):

For highlights, I begin laying down a Glow Dodge layer with a hard brush that doesn't have full opacity, and draw a halo-like shape. After that, I refine the shape by erasing parts of it with a rough eraser to get the desired effect.

Alternative to the Glow Dodge layer, you can use pure white, or other layer types such as Lighten, Screen, Add and Overlay, etc.

In the following pictures, note that I adjust the layer's opacity freely.

Above, I simply blended it a bit to my own liking.

With an airbrush I softly start introducing shadows (Multiply layer, dark purple/blue color).

Then, I start introducing sharper shadows in a separate layer.

You can use a lasso tool for this to map out a jagged like shape which should remind you of mountains. You can blend this out too at certain segments.

(Sidetrack: if you feel like, I suggest reading up on the balance of hard and soft edges in painting, the topic is very interesting and I am still trying to grasp it as well, yet I find it immeasurably useful. This can come in handy upon rendering principles. A very skillful master of it is the artist Yuming Li.)

Furthermore, I add reflections. I've used a Lighten layer with a subtle blue color. As this is subtle, I want to point it out that it appears on the lower parts.

For a final touch, I pick out the skin's color and airbrush, shift the picked color to a more saturated one and apply it near his face/to the bangs, with an airbrush.

For the fundamentals of hair shading I usually wrap it up here and go off to rendering. I use a painterly brush to do this and pay attention to the jagged shape I mentioned earlier. The brush I use is already tilted, so it's easy to manipulate to make such shapes.

Additionally, I experiment with Overlay, Multiply (or any!) layers with either airbrushes or hardbrushes— as I said there isn't a specified way of doing this. Go wild; for such is the nature of hair. Add any shapes or lines you find appealing, introduce new colors from the environment nearby too to make it moredynamic and interesting as well.

EDIT: An addition! On Rendering tips and advice

(apologies on leaving this out initially! I only realized I should include this now )

Including astray curved lines to simulate how hair flows also builds to the hair-like quality. I also prefer to use it closer to the silhouette of my character as it adds further detailing and a fluffier look in the end!

Attempt to render each strand according to this diagram in mind, note the parabole-like(?) shape for the light, and note standard 3d spheric shading for shadows.

So, I've got the tradition since the first TSC trilogy: every time a new book of the series comes out I re-read the whole collection (main, sequels, prequels, additional stories etc.)... For several reasons:

You read the story from the start point to remind all the details

You know that once You in this world You wanna stay in it as long as possible

That's just the tradition I love ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But I missed couple of years and now I have several books from different arcs to catch up.

It has taken me just over 3 months, but I have finally finished my Shadowhunters (re)read!

What an adventure this has been! I had read TMI, TID and TDA already years ago, back when I still read translated books because my English wasn’t good enough yet. I have found since then that I greatly prefer reading in English and this series was no exception.

As far as The Mortal Instruments is concerned, it truly is a product of its time. The story is the best one, the characters… not always as much (looking at you, Clary).

The Infernal Devices will for now and forevermore remain my favourite series. It is the perfect combination of amazing characters and good storytelling.

The Dark Artifices will forevermore come second, the story is good and the characters are good and I will protect Ty Blackthorn until the day that I die.

The Last Hours had by far the BEST characters in any of these books, the story itself was… not the best, but the characters more than made up for it. (Also I will go to WAR for Anna, Matthew and Alastair).

Ghosts of the Shadow Market will forevermore be the best standalone book in this entire franchise. (Also fun fact: the reason this is the only hardcover in my collection is because this is the only book here that I didn’t buy myself. Years ago my best friend and I had a bet and the loser had to buy the winner a book. He bought me a hardcover 😇)

It’s crazy that, after 3 months, it’s done just like that. I will greatly miss this series. And hope I won’t fall into a reading slump afterwards.

Rereading TSC in preparation for TWP

So I just had this idea, since I didn't read the series in the release order like most people and just read TMI, TDA and then TID and TLH and the other books scattered between them. And since where probably will have to wait until 2025 for TWP I just thought this will be a good idea since I wasn't the biggest fan of TID and don't remember much of TMI. So I will be updating as I go through the entire series and giving my thoughts because I'm bored and I can't wait for TWP.

Surprise ! Soup has a three year old daughter when he meets the Chain when he's 25 years old. I don't want to reveal quite yet who's the mother. What I'm gonna say is : Soup had an arranged marriage with some nobility in his very early twenties and had Lila soon after.

Currently, she isn't residing with either of her parents as Hyrule (the capital and the country) is dangerous for her to stay in. The kid lives with close friends of Soup from his adventurous years and he visits her as much as he can :D

Drawing Circles

The first writing centric WIP I was asked about ! I'm literally so excited but deathly afraid of sharing my writing in any capacity so be nice to me that's also the very first draft of one scene I'm sorry

To put some context around that tid bit : The story revolved around a time loop where only Sky remembers the previous loops. In each one, an unknown entity seemed to pull the string and kill the chain one by one in a predefined pattern. Each time Sky is killed, he comes back to square one. By the time of this snippet, he has seen and experienced very nasty moments which is why mentally he isn't coping well !!

TLDR : Sky is getting his shit wrecked in a time loop where he sees and is killed again and again :)) (I love writing gut wrenching angst I'm sorry--)

Here comes nothing~

"The first sense he regained was always the same. Touch. The hero felt the rugged linen of his bedroll under his fingertips.

Second was smell. The deep scent of burning wood tinged his nose.

Third was hearing. Only the quiet songs of insects broke the all encompassing silence of the woods.

Fourth was taste. The lingering taste of blood and sour potion spread across his taste bud.

That… wasn’t normal.

He suddenly opened his eyes. Only a sky full to the brim with stars and trees shadows responded by its calm infinity to the man. Moved by a sudden surge of energy, he stood up straight as an arrow in his bed. Eyes still glued to the enigma that was the ink black sky.

It was night. The moon was smirking high in the sky but…. It never did before. It had always been day. Dawn. Five in the morning exactly. Always the same day at the exact same time.

His eyes fell back. Lost in a sea of confusion, the chosen one took a long time before understanding what was before him. Drenched in deep shadows was the campfire and…. all his brothers. Sitting. Here. Seemingly startled in the middle of a discussion. All his brothers.

He looked at Hyrule. The brown haired kid looked back at him with a weak smile. Just after this action he averted his eyes. Away from him. Straight to the dirt. Then the hero of the Sky saw a glint reflecting the light of the fire. Steel against the dark.

Immediately Sky looked around him in search of his own sword.

“Whoah ! Whoah !” tried Warriors with a rushed sword. Strangely his tone was soft yet worried. A worry Sky had never been on the receiving end of. “Don’t move so much ! Your wound might re-open !”

….. Wound ?

That’s only then he truly felt the burning, tremendous amount of pain his neck was in. It felt like a bag of bricks fell down on his shoulders. He slouched forwards, hands holding his neck.

Sky didn’t go back to day 1. Fi was nowhere near him. The sky was this treacherous black hue. Eyes glued to the grass enveloped in harsh shadows, he stayed dead silent.

He had been…. saved ?

“... Sky ?” The old man called to him. The chosen one didn't even register the word nor that he was the one it directed to.

He smiled. His brothers had saved him. His smile widened even more. They must have done everything in their power to bring him back. A snicker rolled higher and higher in his throat. Despite their efforts to save him, someone had taken hold of Fi. By now, a distorted, devoid of happiness, small laugh was breaching his lips. Twilight must have seen it. Tonitruous, painful fit of laughter took hold of all his body.

Oh… Kind and helpful brothers of his… who ended up afflicting such a tragic agony to the one they wanted to protect.

“Sky…”

A voice.

A voice was calling his name. He didn’t listen. He couldn’t listen. He was past comprehension and rationality. He couldn’t process anything else but unbound kindness and painful ignorance. Neither of which he could truly be mad at. So he clawned at the dirt by his bedroll. Like it had wronged him. Like it was the all encompassing reason for his pain. Like it was at fault for this endless hellish loop.

And he laughed. Laughed a deeply unhappy laugh. He did so with so much resolve. So much perseverance because for weeks he hadn’t been able to. Because after weeks of this never ending hell, there was no end in sight. A hell in which, even the sweet release of death was refused to him.

Arms held him away from battered and beating dirt that had the unluckiness of being by his side. A high-pitched noise escaped his mouth. He saw without seeing multiple people around him. Shapes and shadows stretching from the dim light of the campfire to the abyss of the night.

“I can’t do it anymore…” he croaked in between two giggles. By now it could barely be described as such. Maybe sobs would have been closer to the truth. Even then, it sounded barely human. Eternally doomed and animalistic. Hands cupped his face. Big and rugged. Heavy too. His eyes searched too long before falling on one single blue iris looking back to him. Not only worried. Scared. Panicked…. Knowing of a truth even he didn’t. Soon he saw his lips. They were moving but making no sounds. Or….were they ? Was it the lips that didn’t produce sounds or he who couldn’t hear them.

The fingers of the hands around his cheeks tensed. And he knew. Something in him knew it had been the latter. So he tried to concentrate. Over the physical and mental anguish and devastation of a failed restart.

“...ky…” he half-guessed, half-heard. “Foc… us … Me.”

Focus.

Focus me.

Focus on me.

And he did. He tried. His mind was a bottomless lake he couldn’t swim back up from. It was trying to drag him down. Down into the depths. He fought the grief. He fought off the need to close back his eyes and forget all about it.

“.. Me. “ it was pressing. “Please focus… Sky.” more words stuck to his brain. He needed time to understand them but they were starting to make sense."

TLH basically any character angst: Well, well, well, if it isn't the consequences of my own actions and my problems of miscommunication

The latest chapter included many a bullshit and onward we go. We left Isabelle blackout drunk at Jordan's, Clary escaping Magnus' place via Portal, Simon at the Greenwich Hotel partaking in a job interview with Raphael who wants an indestructible bodyguard. Great. This chapter also greatly reveals how Clare sees the issues Clary faces in comparison to Isabelle's, and I am disgusted.

We now cut to Clary at Taki's waiting for Simon because it is the only Shadow World restaurant in the whole city of New York. Why visit any place else anyway? Simon arrives, his jokes don't land, and he gets concerned:

→ As much so that it needs repetition.

→ The bell as a gift from the Seelie Queen is mentioned in the very first chapter and recapped there. It is even written: "Clary remembered the words of the faerie girl who had handed her the bell." Clary tells Simon about "Kaelie's visit to Luke and Jocelyn’s reception, and her promises to Clary about the Seelie Queen’s help" in the chapter 2 "Thorns" of this book.

Ample opportunity to mention it was Kaelie who gifted the bell on behalf of the queen instead of cramming that information right there as if the readers can't keep up. We know who she is, we know what was her role in this. Hence:

→ It was Kaelie, (the blue-eyed faerie waitress,) who looked at Clary and grinned, a superior grin...

As I said, it is unfortunate there is no place else to go where Kaelie can't show off her happiness over Clary's dismay. Because they serve blood there but apparently there is no place else in the New York that serves also blood

But Simon isn't crying, even the edgy tears of blood. Clare has an annoying habit of delivering information with justifications that only weaken the purpose of delivering that information in the first place.

True, but I love to assign blame, especially to Jace and Clary, because the writing sure does not do it.

Clary tells Simon of her grand plan of infiltrating with Sebastian and Jace. She reveals where she went off to after leaving Magnus' place: She went to steal the faerie rings (conveniently mentioned only in this book once they became relevant to the plot) from the Institute library. They then test them out.

Brother Zachariah spoke to them in the previous chapter, it makes sense to call back to the similarity of that. But also now that Clare's intent on tying TID with TMI is more evident by the book, it also (to me) feels like forcing a mention of the characters or things from TID at every possible opportunity. Especially since Brother Zachariah is barely the first of Silent Brothers Clary has spoken to (or who have spoken to Clary).

What I don't understand and the writing never cares to explain in this moment is why Alec and Isabelle aren't included in this part of the plan. How I see it, they'd rather throw Clary at any opportunity of getting Jace back than worry for her. Nothing in their relationship (because it barely exists) would make them side with Simon and be apprehensive of her safety versus getting Jace back.

We then cut to Maia visiting Jordan, and everything is awful.

Imagine making someone carrying a backpack of all things all about you.

Maia has arrived to Jordan's place to ask for help. Isabelle then pops up, and the three of them talk about the current situation with Luke and Jace. Maia delivers Isabelle a message from Magnus, asking Jordan to reach out to the Praetor Lupus.

A werewolf dying is not an affair of the Clave.

Not that long since they are already making out in a car in the next chapter. I remember Clary and Jace being the most difficult ones to read but no, everything to do with Jordan is just suffering.

Then Isabelle says: "I want my brother,” she said. “I want to see Alec." And Maia says: “Well, that’s good,” Maia said. “Because after Magnus called me, he sent a follow-up text. He said he had a feeling you’d be here, and he had a message for you. He wants you to go to his apartment in Brooklyn, right away.” This will be relevant just a bit from here.

We then cut to Isabelle arriving at Magnus' place.

This reads weird. It's like three things loosely related to each other strung together. The pause if a bit iffy when 'though' appears as a subordinating conjunction in the middle of a sentence.

→ The warmth came from a fire leaping in the grated fireplace though there were no chimneys in the building, but the fire had (or did have) the blue-green tinge of enchanted flame.

It just seems too convoluted way of saying there was an enchanted fire in the fireplace that has no chimney leading out.

Because Alec is barefoot (important detail) it is essential to mention what he is wearing. Also this book does this with basically everyone who appears for the first time.

MAGNUS. He was wearing what for Magnus was a somber ensemble—jeans and a black T-shirt with rivets around the collar and cuffs. + His hair was wet, dripping onto the shoulders of his white shirt and making it transparent. CLARY. She was wearing jeans and rubber-soled sneakers, and a soundless rune was carved into her ankle.

JORDAN. wearing a green shirt that hugged his leanly muscled body in all the right places and brought out the hazel color of his eyes. *barf* + Jordan stood behind her, wearing dark jeans and a black sweater half-zipped over a green T-shirt.

ISABELLE. Isabelle sat atop one of the boulders, wearing a long dress of bottle-green silk with an embroidered black and silver coat over it + She wore black suede knee-high boots, tight jeans, and a red silky top with her familiar red pendant around her throat

ALEC. He was wearing his usual ratty sweater and jeans, but a dark blue scarf that matched his eyes was wrapped around his throat + He wore a long leather duster open over a blue sweater

SEBASTIAN. He wore a white shirt, the sleeves pulled up + Sebastian had been wearing a long black wool trench coat that had looked expensive.

JACE. His hands were careless in the pockets of his jeans, his Marks visible through his white T-shirt. Over it was thrown an unfamiliar tan suede jacket that brought out the gold undertones to his skin. + Jace’s clothes had been clean, stylish, ordinary + He wore a dark blue sweater that made his hair look like sunlight.

MAIA. She was wearing jeans and a caramel-colored leather jacket, and her hair was pulled up behind her head with bronze chopsticks

CAMILLE. She wore a neat black suit now with high-heeled red shoes, and her hair spilled down her shoulders in waves and curls.

→ It's not wrong or any sort of error to describe what your characters are wearing, it shows the character's persona, but I feel like I am now constantly reading what everyone here is wearing any given day.

Where Clare reveals the issues are hierarchical. Just in previous chapter 6 "No Weapon in this World" where they discuss Jocelyn and Isabelle going to the Iron Sisters, Magnus literally says:

"It's late, and we don't need to wake her up. Everyone needs rest. If I am to send any of you through to the Iron Sisters, it will be tomorrow.”

But then Maia tells Isabelle Magnus wants her there right away? Everyone needs rest, except Isabelle. Because Isabelle did not witness her 9-year-old little brother brutally murdered when she should've been the one to protect him (just weeks ago), doesn't have his brother missing and in a demonic bond with the enemy, doesn't have any problems that could even supersede whatever Clary is going through any given moment. A proper answer to Isabelle's question:

→ "I know, I'm sorry. But we do need you." (Because Alec just previous to this says, "Don’t go to pieces. We need you.”

Also great how Isabelle isn't afforded to "go to pieces" but Clary is allowed all the tears and temper tantrums in the world.

→ The classic "As you know" when delivering information to the readers. Here Alec is delivering information they both have known for their whole lives basically. They don't need to explain this to each other. Also why do they only speak to women? They were all once regular Nephilim that spoke to also men. What is the reason for this?

→ Jocelyn's motivation for going is incredibly unclear. She isn't going for Jace because she doesn't give a crap about him aside from when it concerns Clary's happiness and Jace has barely made Clary's life happy with his antics. All I can assume is that she wants Sebastian dead for all he has done and she knows he'll do with the added bonus of not not killing Jace in the process.

→ Jocelyn is such a plot device. How come Jocelyn ever possessed one of the greatest magical books of all time? We don't know but the plot demands it. How come Jocelyn has visited the Adamant Citadel before and for what reason? No idea but she needs to go as a tour guide for Isabelle.

Alec just said, "in the morning." ↑

Magnus takes Isabelle to her room and hilarity ensues.

For someone who steals coffee and constantly changes his furniture in a whim, it's weird that Magnus can't magic himself proper curtain holders. Convenient for unfunny quips.

→ Great how Alec's emotional life is common knowledge apparently?

→ How is the writing so self-aware at points but refuses to apply this logic to characters like Jace? Because bias, and Jace is worth the destruction of everyone else's happiness.

PARABATAI? Parabatai. Parabatai? Parabatai.

Oh stooop, you're spoiling us with this much parabatai talk about Jace and Alec. But oh no, it's really not about Jace and Alec at all. It's another opportunity for Clare to flaunt Will and Jem and their bond (and make yet another TID reference). This in actuality has nothing more to do with Jace and Alec than having to mention their bond because parabatai exist again in the series.

→ Fuck yeah there ain't! Finally Isabelle standing up for Alec. Now let's implement this to arguments with Jace and Clary as well.

→ Love and blood are not the same, said the Seelie Queen once. You think Isabelle of all people needs to ask Clary shit about this. Isabelle could say the same thing about Jace, that of course Jace loves her, she is his sister. And then there is no bullshit argument like this where everything once again revolves around Clary.

We cut to Clary at Luke's house, baiting Jace to come and get her. She tests out the faerie ring with Simon and they say their goodbyes for the time being. There's this part after they finish their talk:

And that was all. There was no click, as when you hung up a phone; Clary just sensed a severing of their connection, as if a cord had been cut inside her head. She wondered if this was what Alec meant when he talked about the breaking of the parabatai bond.

Yes, their parabatai bond is so shitty is might as well be equated to ending a faerie ring telephone call.

Cut to Simon arriving at Magnus' place also because that is were everyone is gathering in this chapter to snooze. He gets in the bed with Isabelle and makes important discoveries:

Again, convenient magic does not act conveniently when it comes to repair work.

Then we cut back to Clary, and Jace arrives to take her.

And honestly, from what I remember the whole book is going to feel like this endless long time with Jace and Clary's adventures with evil brother. With Clary leaving with Jace, the chapter ends and the first part of the book is finished. A positive note I can make is that at least the part one "No Evil Angel" is somewhat coherent part of the book and makes a clear cut between the beginning of the story and whatever bullcrap comes next.

what is the best order to read the cassandra clare books in. idk what the series is called as a whole sorry

RELEASE ORDER, or at least something release order-adjacent. cassandra clare will try and tell you that they can be read in any order but that is a lie and will give you severe emotional whiplash.

tmi and tid were released simultaneously though, and i get maybe not wanting to read two book series at the same time, in which case i think it's preferable to read tid after the first 3 tmi books (since tmi is split into two triologies) or, if you want to avoid that at all, tid after tmi. you'll miss a few references in the 2nd tmi triology but it's perfectly doable, it's how i read tsc the first time around.

this leaves you with 2 main reading options (below the cut):

We are certain that this project will have a lot to talk about in the coming months and/or the time we are given the opportunity to move forward.

Joke's Memories is a FNAFHS Retelling/AU. Where here, we telling you about our perspective about the serie. BUT! We also want to give a grain of support to the AU's HS community. We will touch on themes of magic (the world of shadows), a touch of psychological horror and why not? References to other projects of Hatsumi and the Saga Willow.

Squad Eight is mostly a tight knit group. Pumpkin and Dusty knew each other long before SHC was a thing towards the end of the 2012 crisis. Originally Pumpkin was an international consultant for Knight’s Bridge Consulting and Dusty was an Independent Agent for The Council of Venice. Their paths crossed in the early 2000’s while hunting rumors of an auction for magical artifacts hosted by the Morning Light Cult. Their relationship didn’t change very much when SHC got rolling. Dusty would use Council resources to hunt rumors, connections, and information on important or dangerous items. Pumpkin would retrieve or disable those items neither The council nor The Factions would decide they want to make a power grab outside the usual range. Their relationship can be very business like at times but both know that they can absolutely trust the other when it comes to their skills or an emergency situation, such as hiding a former shadow and preventing said shadow from murdering his way to the top too quickly. Which leads us to Hutch!

Hutch was more acquired by Squad Eight. After being buried under rubble during the events of Las Almas, he was rescued by Dusty and Squad Six. He did not meet them till about a few months up to a year later. Pumpkin likes to keep an eye on interesting people. A shadow who decided to slip before the noose tightened counts as interesting. She kept an ear out, especially when Hutch started taking out Shadow survivors. Hutch was very much hostile when Pumpkin first started appearing in his vengeance plot. Pumpkin more saw Hutch as a promising new asset. She’d get him access to his targets and tid bits of information, but mostly left Hutch to get himself into trouble. Pumpkin has intervened on Two notable occasions. Hutch nearly getting himself killed by leaving a werewolf bite untreated and Hutch getting very nearly bleeding out in an alley for not recognizing who his target was. The wolf bite is also the first time Hutch meets Dusty. Pumpkin could not directly intervene as she was busy with an operation. So she sent Dusty in her stead. Dusty very much of the idea that Hutch was Pumpkin’s pet project. Hutch vaguely remembers being cussed out as someone cared for him throughout his fevered state. They make up later, after the stabbing incident when Pumpkin decides to fully recruit Hutch.

Lovely side note here. Hutch has an animal companion kinda. Dill the Raven. Dill is a magical construct. That bird is not alive. He was a gift from Pumpkin after one too many close calls. Dill also got his name cause Hutch didn’t know how to activate such a construct and stuck the little carved charm into a pickle jar. The charm could be activated by salt water. Pickle juice counts. ANYWAYS!

Hutch’s relationship with Pumpkin is vaguely toxic. Hutch is attracted to Pumpkin, there is no denying that. Its not romantic in the slightest, more friends with benefits. Pumpkin is willing to leverage as Payment or Relaxation for Hutch. Hutch feels he owes pumpkin on some level. Mainly because Pumpkin keeps saving his life or Helping him keep his more were-wolfish traits in check.

Finally we have Bell. Sweet sweet tortured Bell. Bell was originally an experiment for SWARM (you can ask @ask-lucans-ocs) Eventually Bell was discarded after he was no longer useful to SWARM as an experiment. Literally, They threw him in the trash to die. Pumpkin found him by accident. Cornered on a roof and went dumpster diving. Nearly landed on a bird. Pumpkin has a bad habit of taking in Strays. Especially what she sees as useful Strays. Pumpkin at first didn’t know how to deal with Bell’s regression but if SHC teaches anything, It’s roll with the weird. Pumpkin and Bell’s relationship developed from a point of care. Pumpkin treated Bell more like an injured feral animal and Bell fell for it. Pumpkin is far more doting on Bell. It’s why she doesn’t work with Bell on the Field. Hutch and Bell have a far more working relationship. Hutch target trained Bell, after all. And This tactic is used to full extent. Its point and swoop for the two. Bell tends to be protective of Hutch, emulating Pumpkin’s behavior around Hutch. Bell and Dusty have a more work first approach. Dusty will watch Bell but He will not watch over Bell. Bell perches on everybody but his two favorite for I can attack and crunch people are Pumpkin and Hutch.
