This Shabbat we lit 21 candles in honour of International Women's Day: 19 purple candles for the 19 women still held captive by Hamas, and two yellow candles. Bring Them Home Now.

I honestly don't know the story to this menorah. We've had it forever, and it very well may have been a cheap-y one purchased early on in my parents' marriage because they needed one. It's not a bad menorah, though. I like the texture in the design.

Hello my old blog from twelve years ago. It is now 2024 and I am on my couch in Dana Point, CA. It is 12:12 am, a very fitting time for finding a 12 year old blog. It’s a rare Friday night off, shabbat shalom. I receive a text from a flame interest from a dating app called Jswipe and proceed to voice text back after googling all about textationships aka a virtual text relationship. I realize I’ve already fallen victim to the text relationship with no concrete plans of actually meeting up in sight. Not my style. I lay on the couch with the only sound of the electric “fireplace” heater on my “mantle” shelf. After a week of phone recovery from a stolen snatch in Hollywood, I finally have a working phone and I vigorously type my return blog entry for the first time in 12 years. I’ll attach a photo of my “shabbat” candles and “fireplace” for reference.

Fully accepting that I'm going to have to atone for this one on Yom Kippur but how do y'all think gender roles in halacha would work in the Omegaverse? I mean how many mechitzot and who goes on what side, are male omegas and female alphas expected to wear tichels/sheitels when bonded/married, how tf do ketubot/gittin work, who wears talliot? Does tzniut apply along primary or secondary gender lines or a secret third option? Shomer negiah??? Taharat ha'mishpacha??????
