as a forever dm i imagine it must be fun to have an NPC that had a whole ass drawn out slowburn romantic subplot with one of the players.

A friend of mine is watching SG-1 from start to finish. They texted me, and this happened:

can we. can we talk about how in the final lucien fight, Essek failed to resist the slow effect from one of the eyes (he rolled two natural 1s in a row). canonically, he was weighed down with with so much shame and guilt that he could barely move—the same guilt that he is seriously considering going back in time to undo—and he didn’t use his fortune’s favor reroll to try to alleviate it.

but he did expend his mote of possibility when he struggled to pull Caleb out from under a building. no hesitation.

so. so. was he saving his fortune’s favor for the mighty nein? had he already decided not to use it for himself?

this scene was such ridiculous wish fulfillment by whichever writer/showrunner was projecting on eli. i get it, brad or joseph or whoever, you had a professor like rush once and hated that he didn't respect your brilliance and always wanted him to say something like this. i get it. but it's kind of secondhand embarrassing.

Rush is still bitter that Eli solved the ninth chevron whilst playing a mmorg, and he devoted 2.5 years of his life to it and also ignored his dying wife.....

i hope someone recorded the 10:15 live bc sg and tilly talked about marcia and marbit but i fear i cant reliably paraphrase all of it. heres what i remember tho

- sg is hesitant to say that marcia and bev remain friends

- mostly bc bev burned "one of marcias boyfriends" (two-bit)

- marcia talks bev about two-bit at the drive in and bev is like ew

- sg says eventually marcia learns to not follow the crowd

- eventually after the plot of the show, marcia and trip break up and she starts seeing two-bit

- all 3 say they probably dont officially date bc its dangerous, but they do meet up/see each other a lot and sg says they want it to be better so they can date

- (this is where it gets foggy on what i could hear) i think sg says during marcias senior year shes learned to not follow the crowd and probably (?) isnt friends with the soc group

- and then marcia manages to get out of tulsa and move to Hollywood
