my family and i used to always drive up to michigan over the summer because my mom’s side of the family lives up there. we’d mostly stay with my grandparents at their house and i always loved driving on the dirt road up to their house really late at night and the porch light was always on and my grandparents would be sitting there waiting for us, no matter how late it was. i really miss it, that time and house was so peaceful
