"Yeah--- yeah," Rhenzy didn't want to depress Aurora any longer by the important topic at hand, but he finished if off with a nod. "That is some smart thinking right there, barbie,... explore every AND all your options, before you make your final decision. At least you got some time." he emphasized. While the average boy couldn't get through their sex education classes without giggling, Rhenzy was unlike the others. He listened. His mother found it important for him to retain this information for the rest of his life (though remembering dates and connecting dots weren't his strong suit), so, that her son wouldn't just be another dude, flopping their dick around without realizing the repercussions afterwards. Safe sex was ALWAYS the way to go. Unfortunately for Aurora, this is what happened with the other dude. Mistakes happened and they were only human afterall, so, Rhenzy didn't blame her one bit, though, he knew better than to treat her like fragile, expensive glassware. "Like uhhhhh," He thought back for a second. Did he remember everything from back then? No. "A good chunk of a few weeks or technically three months, or something like that? At best... that is, if you don't want to go through with it. Either way, I'll support you, I got no issues with any of this, it's not an easy decision." Leaning forward, he pressed a kiss to her head. His next words were a quiet whisper. "Take a deep breath, and de-stress for a second."

One thing was for sure, Rhenzy Romero wasn't going to be a terrible boyfriend, let alone an immature person if he forced an idea on her and decidedly chose to leave her when she needed someone the most.

As Aurora mentioned the fact that she enjoyed being in his 'bubble', he grinned from ear-to-ear. It felt comforting to know that his presence was comforting and not just because he was holding her. It had a much deeper meaning than what she lead on with, but Rhenzy knew. Her body melded into his own with ease and it was a warm and steady heartbeat. She was mesmerizing, even if he were to just take a quick glimpse her way. Cliché as it might be, being called her boyfriend was just another boost to his ego-- but not in a negative type of way. Rhenzy's last, brief relationship, never felt like this and he was extremely grateful for the blonde and their friend group too. When he finished with his slice of delicious pizza, his other big hand wrapped around her small frame and he gently tugged her closer and squeezed her petite hand in return, once again with the other. At this rate, they were pretty cuddled up and he didn't want to move. After a beat, he answered, accompanied by a brief chuckle. "Yo, sure you can call me your boyfriend, I'm good with that," A beat didn't even need to pass, there was NO hesitation. Right as he spoke, his actions were more concrete as he pulled out his phone, unlocked it and handed it to her-- showcasing the last text he received was her, but it was to edit the contact. "Change it. Add all the pink or purple hearts you want!"

Recently, he'd seen a stupid tiktok of a full-grown man, acting all suspicious and protective over the shit in his phone, and wouldn't hand it over to his wife to use, and Rhenzy couldn't have cared less about his own possession. Not that he used it much anyways as his lockscreen was their last family party, last summer, he regularly texted his mom, step-sister and their friend group-chat too, and kept a few goofy selfies on it, but he had NOTHING to hide. So, he was more than happy to hand it over as an overall gesture. "But let me take you out on another date, yeah? No golf, no concerts, something a little different, some more fun shit, but totally romantic too, how's that sound?" Now his fingers grazed over bare skin, casually against her arm before returning the kiss. "Pizza kiss, hmmm...." He liked hearing her laugh, he liked kissing her, he liked her ALOT but he didn't want them to get stale of one another, so quickly,--- like pizza rat, scrounging for leftovers.

"I'm funny? Damn, sign me up for a Netflix special then," He teased, though appreciated her words, again. Rhenzy felt immense comfort in their friend-group as he didn't feel like the singular weirdo anymore---he surrounded himself with the best people, Aurora included. "I honestly don't know, I guess it comes naturally! My brain ain't as big as others. If it was, I'm sure I'd need a bigger hat." Glancing down, he noticed she asked seriously. "I love your laugh, too much, actually AND your choice in the muppets. Kermit it is." Rhenzy laughed again. "My dad and I are alike, but you should hear him crack jokes, they're real knee slappers."

"Rupert! What a good name - he definitely looks like a Rupert to me," she mused, her fingers gently tracing the outline of the tattoo. This was yet another instance of how goofy Rhenzy was. He was always so out-of-the-box, so unique, yet it was obvious he was just being his genuine self. There was no bullshit or pretending with him and Aurora found that so refreshing. He was such a welcome change from really everyone she'd ever dated before. She could only pray the results would be different this time too.

She had opened her mouth to tell him to stop but he was up and gone too quickly. So she watched him with amusement clear in her eyes. Rhenzy was the gift that kept on giving, constantly finding new ways to surprise her. How he was so kind and compassionate she had no clue. "Oh my god, you're like, the most thoughtful person ever." It was just a bucket but it meant the world to her that he even thought to grab it. Now all Aurora could do was cross her fingers & toes that she didn't need to USE IT in front of him. That would be embarrassing and she did not do well with embarrassment. Aurora prided herself on being a 'girly girl', graceful and feminine in her appearance and mannerisms. Maybe it was self centered of her to worry so much about pregnancy changing her. Maybe that was something she needed to work on, regardless of whether she went through with this or not. His touch, as gentle as it was, was soothing, and she didn't want him to go away.

The blonde noticed that he was an attentive listener. She could see him bopping his head in response to her, even while he ate. She felt heard, a rare thing these days with the men she encountered. Another tiny gesture on his part, she was sure, but an appreciated one nonetheless.

When he finally did speak, she was quite honestly floored. "No issues with it at all? Really?" her tone was incredulous and for the first time Aurora didn't quite believe him. Glowing???? Pfft... People like this didn't just EXIST. No, surely he was pulling her leg. Or even if he DID mean it now, when confronted with the reality of the situation he would change his mind. That's what men did, after all, they changed their minds and moved on to 'better' things. If her father had, why wouldn't Rhenzy? No, that thought made her chest ache. It was too far, Rhen wasn't like that. He wouldn't hurt her that way. Just as she started to work herself up, Rhenzy was coming in clutch with his soothing energy. She took his hand without hesitation and took a few deep breaths as instructed.

He already knew her so well. Calming her down was like second nature for him. As great as this was, as PERFECT as it was, really, she wasn't sure she was ready for this to be their new normal. Aurora didn't want to need him to take care of her all the time, and with a pregnancy that was a strong possibility. It didn't seem fair to him by any means. He could say it was no big deal and mean it but that wouldn't change her views on it. He deserved better than to have to calm her fears and deal with her shit twenty four seven. The real hard truth of the matter was that she was already tough to handle. Rora was insecure and had a hard time trusting that people would stay with her (as her panic a few moments ago demonstrated). Hormones would absolutely make those feelings worse. She would be a nightmare to handle, she could already picture it... Yet another thing to consider in all this.

"I like being in your space - your bubble." As she echoed his words back to him, a smile crept up into her features yet again. He could pull it out of her so effortlessly. Then that smile turned into laughter, pure happy laughter. "I am your biggest fan! You got that right, Rhen. So we're on the same page then. We want to date. So does that mean I can jump the gun and call you my boyfriend or would you prefer to take things slow and like, actually go out on a date or something?" She was absolutely beaming at him by now, the butterflies in her stomach fluttering wildly. "Although, we have been spending a lot of time together... Mini golf could count as our first date..." She laughed again, just bubbling with excitment. On paper they didn't really make sense together since they were polar opposites in aesthetic and interests. But it felt right, and their friends would surely agree. The two were made for each other.

Her brightness dulled ever so slightly at the reminder of her condition. "Yeah, you're absolutely right. I'll talk to all three as soon as I can. I think that's the only way to really decide what to do, right? It means everything to have your support, I want to make that clear to you. I don't ever want to take your kindness for granted. You're an amazing person and I'm really lucky to have you in my life." She squeezed his hand as she spoke, feeling a tiny lump appear in her throat that thankfully disappeared as quickly as it had come about. "Oh my god, you're such a dork!" And just like that she was shining brighter than she had been before. "How are you so funny? Do you like, plan these things out or does it just happen? I don't think I've ever laughed as much as I do with you." She pursed her lips as she pondered his question, taking the matter very seriously. "You know, Gonzo is amazing but I've always been a Kermit gal. I really like frogs after all. Just for you I'll put that in the 'potential names' folder in my brain, okay?" Okay, what? Now they were joking about the situation? Who would have thought that was possible??? It was a welcome shift for the conversation to take and was doing wonders for Aurora's nerves. For the first time since seeing those plus signs she knew everything was going to be okay. One way or another she had a partner to support her and keep her laughing through the whole journey. She was in good hands.

Without hesitating this time, she leaned in to kiss him. It already felt natural, which was mind blowing in itself. "Mmm pizza kiss," she mumbled as she pulled away, still smiling. She stayed close to him, just taking in the features of his face. Whether they chose to label it now or not, he was her person. And she didn't plan on letting him go.
