Ooh, thanks for the tag @weimarweekly !! So 5 songs I’ve been listening to recently and 5 tags!

1. It’s been a Babylon Berlin month so first up is Zu Asche, Zu Staub (Psycho Nikoros) sung by Severija Janusauskaite. “To ash, to dust…but not just yet.” A performance of perfection in the show. Even if you don’t watch the show, you should see the scene.

2. Another from Babylon Berlin, Du Bist Alles, “You’re Everything” both versions, sung by Christian Friedel. Absolutely gorgeous.

3. Agnes Obel Its Happening Again. This has been on repeat for a few years now. There’s a theme here, but I’m not sure what it is….

4. Fever Ray’s Keep the Streets Empty for Me. Dark had a profound impact on me this year, and this song is one of a few on this list.

5. May the Angels by Alev Lenz. Another Dark song. I can’t help it, German shows have grabbed me and held on, refusing to let go.

Laut Bambi ist Babylon Berlindie deutsche Serie des Jahres. Das geht irgendwie in Ordnung, denn eine bessere deutsche Serie fällt mir derzeit leider auch nicht ein. Vor allem keine, die zur besten Sendezeit im deutschen Fernsehen ausgestrahlt wurde. Es ist ja nicht so, dass es gar nichts Neues aus deutscher Produktion zu sehen gäbe, erfrischend unkorrekt, geistreich und dabei total lustig fand…
