Heart To Heart | Ming Chapter
February 5, 2023
''What are you really doing back home?''
Ming's head swiftly glanced up from the scattered leaves on the ground to her younger brother, whose eyes were already on her. She furrowed her eyebrows. ''What do you mean, Woo?''
The unimpressed expression on his face was one she didn't get to meet often. ''You always let us know when you're coming home, this time you didn't. So, what's up with that? Is everything okay, Noona?''
The ''home'' Jungwoo referred to was their house in Daegu, the one she had surprisingly turned up to a few days earlier. Her youngest brother was correct about saying that she would always let someone of her small family know that she would be coming over. Whether it was through text or via a phone call, she'd always let someone know.
Ming should've known that someone would speak up about it, she hadn't expected that it would be the youngest of the family, however. Jungwoo never seemed like the observant type to her, he cared deeply for others, but normally he would wait for others to come to him.
Despite the nonchalant tone in his voice, the concern was visible on his face. Ming never liked making her loved ones worried about her, it made her feel guilty for some reason. She opted to lie and explain to him that there were no other intentions than just wanting to surprise her family, but she knew her brother would look right through her and tell her to not speak such lies to him.
''A lot of things happened back in Seoul and I need some time away, to be honest.'' It felt weird to her confiding to the youngest, the roles usually reversed.
Jungwoo nodded, his eyes not leaving hers. ''What happened? Something with the members?'' His question didn't come across as nosey or invasive, he was genuinely interested.
''No, everything's okay with the members,'' Ming assured him, ''it's just that…''
''There was this person that I really liked and they liked me back, but I made some mistakes that hurt their feelings. I went to talk to them and I apologized. I also told them that I loved them, but they, uh, told me that they think we shouldn't see each other anymore.'' She explained to him, describing the situation as vague as possible.
The younger man took her words in, happy his older sister gave in and told him her worries. ''Oh, that's not fun, especially cause you know they liked you back.''
A sarcastic chuckle left her lips. ''Yeah, my heart's been ripped apart.'' The contrast of the tone of her voice and the words she said made her brother not know what to say, struggling to understand if she could already joke about the incident or not.
''Well, you're a great person, so it's their loss anyway.'' He bumped their shoulders, a nervous laughter coming out. A small smile graced her face, her brother's support never failing to cheer her up. ''Thanks, Woo.''
''Things happen for a reason, you know? Whatever happens, let it happen.''
February 27, 2023
''Hi, bunny.'' Cheol walked into her room, watching her stare at the ceiling. Ming's vision didn't stray away from it, as if all her thoughts would go away if she looked at the leader.
He figured she had sunken deep into her own mind palette, her nose scrunched up and her eyes looked very intense. Cheol laid himself sideways next to her, watching her. ''You don't have to tell me what's going on in that pretty head of yours, but I think you could use some company.''
''I've been feeling kinda empty these days… like there's just something missing, you know? I haven't felt that in a while and it's just not a nice feeling.'' Ming spoke up after a minute of silence.
''At first, I thought I missed my family a lot, so I visited them, but it didn't go away. I started working out again, I tried writing lyrics, I picked up my guitar again, I went on a small road trip with Soomin… hell, I even went cycling with Mingyu, I've tried everything.''
Cheol listened attentively, nodding his head to every word she said. ''How long have you been feeling like this?'' He asked her.
Ming thought for a few seconds, trying to recall when the emptiness washed over her. ''A few weeks now, I think. A couple days before I drove down to Daegu.'' She answered him, not totally sure about the timeline.
''Oh, poor kid… that's quite a long time,'' he caressed her head, sympathizing, ''I'm sure once we start rehearsing and performing again, you'll feel better.'' Cheol reasoned.
The younger woman nodded, agreeing with him. ''Yeah, I think so too. It's been a long time since I've been able to properly perform with all of you.''
''It kinda sucks that I'm fully recovered now, but then Myungho gets himself injured.'' Ming sighed, being reminded that it's still 13 members performing instead of all 14 members.
Cheol nodded, sighing as well. ''I know, it seems like there is some kind of curse around us.'' He laughed, pulling his phone out and typing something.
''Yeah,'' Ming chuckled, ''but he'll recover quickly, his isn't as bad as mine was. He can go to rehearsals and watch, I couldn't even get out of bed.''
''We shouldn't compare injuries, Hao is super upset that he can't dance.'' Cheol semi-scolded her, looking away from his phone. ''Hey, uh, have you spoken with, uh, Canada?'' He wasn't sure whether she wanted to talk about the NCT rapper or not.
Ming shook her head. ''No, but it's fine,'' she sighed, ''I guess I should focus on myself now, you know? We're both very busy people, so it probably wouldn't have worked out anyway.'' She told him, her words comforting herself.
The leader looked at her in pity, mentally hitting himself for bringing the topic up. ''He's not too busy to spy on your Insta, though.'' He mumbled.
Ming hit his chest, making the both of them burst out laughing. ''He's never been very subtle, I guess.'' She had been preparing for the special live broadcast for Carats' birthday when she saw her and Minhyung's name trending on social media. It had given her an immediate heart attack, scared that pictures had gotten leaked, but she calmed down when she read the articles. Ming didn't know how to feel about the fact that Minhyung had been lurking on her page, it was a conflicting matter.
Cheol's phone vibrated against her mattress, making him check the notification he had received. ''Hey, uh, I gotta go,'' he sat back up, ''if there's anything, just call me, okay?'' He ruffled her hair, swiftly getting out of her room.
''Okay, bye bye!''
March 1, 2023
''Alright, we're gonna go out, because I can't watch you mope around in your bed all day any longer.'' Minghao pulled the covers from her body, making Ming quickly cover herself with her arms at the sudden cold.
''No~'' she whined, ''let me rot away here in peace.'' Ming wasn't in the mood to leave her room, rather isolating herself from the world.
Minghao sighed as he sat down next to her, caressing her cheek. ''Look, I get that you haven't been feeling your best, but all I'm asking is just one hour of your time.'' He simply wanted her to get out of the dorm and take in some fresh air.
''Rehearsals are starting again soon, I'll go out then.'' Ming reasoned.
The Chinese man shook his head. ''Come on, Yerimie! I'll buy you food!'' He tried to bribe her, knowing that promising her food would be his best chance at getting her up from her bed.
He could see her contemplating his words, taking a few moments to think. ''Okay, but you have to give me anything I want.'' She slowly got out of her bed, wanting to change into something else than her pajamas.
Minghao adamantly nodded his head, delighted he could convince her. ''Of course, let me know when you're ready.'' He exited her room, giving her some privacy while she got out of her clothes.
It had been quite cold in Seoul from what she gathered, opting for baggy jeans, a gray sweater, a thick jacket and a white puffy hat to keep her head warm. Ming already felt her mood lift up a bit as she changed into her new clothing, maybe going out with Minghao wasn't such a bad idea.
As soon as Ming stepped out of her room, the two made their way downstairs and into the night life of Seoul. They stopped at several street food trucks and seemed to be making their way towards the Han River, where they would calmly enjoy their food and the beautiful visuals.
They had settled themselves against the railing, admiring the sight of the river and the bright stars that appeared in the sky. ''They have fried chicken in the little shop, you want me to get some?'' Minghao suggested, tilting his head towards the convenience store nearby.
The question brought her back to her first date with Minhyung at Han River, where they leaned against the tree while drinking coke and eating their ramen, and fried chicken from that exact same store. ''Uh, I'm alright, thanks.''
''Well, I'm going to get some myself, I'll be right back.'' With that he left and walked to the small shop, not putting much pace behind his steps.
Ming's attention fell back on the river in front of her, leaning her arms on the railing and watching the stars and Seoul lights reflect on the water. Her mind drifted to the events of the past weeks: going back home, supporting her members at Music Bank, celebrating Carats' birthday and her talk with Cheol.
A weird feeling bubbled inside of her, she couldn't explain it and it scared her a little. Maybe it was a sense of realization of where the emptiness came from. Deep inside her heart and mind she knew what the missing puzzle piece was, but she wasn't ready to admit that to herself yet. She wanted to spare herself from the pain it would come with, avoiding her feelings and thoughts had always been her coping mechanism.
During hard times, she wishes she could call up her mom and have her tell Ming what to do. There were many people she could call and who would be happy to give her useful advice, but the strengthening words of a mother could not be matched by anyone else. She would tell her daughter to take it slow, to take life as it is and to prioritize herself.
Her mind returned back to the present as she could hear Minghao's footsteps approach, making her scratch her throat and fix her posture.
''You called me Mark.''
Unlike she thought, it wasn't Minghao that had been creeping up on her. Ming quickly turned around, met with the young man she could recognize anywhere despite him being completely covered, so he was unrecognizable to everyone else.
Her eyes widened, looking around in search of her member. ''What are you doing?''
''You've never called me that.'' Minhyung ignored her question. He took few steps forward, so he was standing right in front of her.
Ming continued glancing around him, hoping no one was witnessing the moment. ''We're in public, are you fucking crazy?''
''I don't really care about that right now, Yer. I just- I want to say something to you, whether you want to listen to me or not, is your choice.'' She could see the cold breaths leave his mouth, smoking up in the cold air.
Minhyung continued in her silence. ''First, I want to apologize for what happened at Music Bank. I shouldn't have approached you like that and especially not after what happened at the dorm,''
''I've been wanting to talk to you about what happened then, but I figured you just wanted me to leave you alone, which I understand. But that's not what I want to tell you right now,''
''When you came to our dorm, I had just gotten off a 13-hour flight and I was beyond tired, and fans were being invasive at the airport, and all I wanted was some sleep, and then you showed up and I- I don't know. You started saying all that stuff about Yeonjun and that you were in love with me, and all I could think about was the image of you two kissing,''
He took a deep breath, the words coming out too fast for him. ''When I woke up, I realized what I had actually asked of you and what that meant for us, and I fucked up. I don't want to not see you anymore, I don't want to pretend that I don't know you, I want- I want, ugh, fuck…''
''What do you want, Minhyung?'' Ming asked him, her eyes fully focused on him.
His gaze fell upon her, the pair properly looking at each other for the first time in what felt like a lifetime. ''I want you. I want to kiss you. I want to go on walks with you. I want to be with you.'' He answered her question, almost out of breath.
Ming's eyes welled up, the tone in which he spoke was something she hadn't heard from him before. ''You- you what?''
Minhyung's left hand cupped her cheek, his eyes not leaving hers. ''I'm in love with you, Yer,'' her tears must have had an effect on him as his voice came out hoarse and she could see tears forming, ''I don't think I am, I know I am.''
''If you want to, I would like for us to start again. We'll start again and we'll do it better, we'll do it differently this time.'' He added, his free hand grabbing her arm.
Ming looked down at the floor, multiple tears falling down. ''Please tell me that you're serious, that this isn't some kind of cruel joke you're doing.'' She hated how desperate she sounded, but it couldn't be helped.
''I mean it, I'm being serious.'' Minhyung couldn't fight the urge anymore and wrapped his arms around her, his hand resting on the back of her head.
The two remained like that for a few minutes, reveling in the comfort each of them brought to one another. It was Ming who broke the silence first. ''How did you even know I was here?''
Minhyung chuckled at her question, wiping his hand over his dried tears. ''One of your members might have given me a scolding.''
She pulled away from him, her hands still holding onto him. ''What do you mean?'' Ming raised her eyebrow.
''Don't worry about it now, I needed it.'' He brushed it off, pulling her back in.
Ming was still overwhelmed by the sudden turn of events as she rested in Minhyung's arms, holding him close to her so he wouldn't magically disappear. The weird feeling had somehow found its way out of her body and she felt at peace.
Her puzzle was complete.

☆ . 𝗮 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘇?
SEVENTEEN QUARTZ have built a strong fanbase and reputation with their diverse discography allowing for their SPOTIFY STATS that sets them apart from the rest of the group. but 2024 has not been nice to them, or should i say THEIR COMPANIES fighting over them all year long. but i don't blame them — these STARS are hard not to love. and i just want to say, I AM SO HAPPY THE GIRLS ARE FREE but I MISS YOU!
the year started off quiet for QUARTZ UNIT — mainly filled with the FOLLOW TOUR, GOING SEVENTEEN and AWARD SHOWS. this was until the QUARTET left us STARSTRUCK in FEBRUARY 2024 with their TOP TRACK, SUPER-NOVA. THE STARS very quickly received an PERFECT-ALL-KILL on all streaming platforms and their SPOTIFY STREAMS started to hike up as they topped the GLOBAL TOP 50 charts. which was a surprise to netizens as QUARTZ are known for making MUSIC FOR THE ARTS, NOT THE CHARTS.
all was normal during the promotions of their third single, SUPERNOVA. the end of the promotions meshed well with SEVENTEEN'S promotions as they finished off their FOLLOW TOUR in MAY 2024. however, I FEAR you know how this story goes. NOTHING. no SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS, no EXPLANATIONS FROM THEIR COMPANIES and even BEING REMOVED FROM SEVENTEEN'S SCHEDULES. you know the typical THIS GROUP IS DISBANDING behaviour.
but trust, the girls were NOT COMPLETELY QUIET during this 'hiatus'. in fact, JUPITER RECORDS started the SOLO DEBUT PROJECT, kinda like LOONA had back in their pre-debut era. it WITHOUT A DOUBT concerned fans with why QUARTZ could not participate in SEVENTEEN'S comeback but could make their own songs. hmmm interesting . . . anyways. OLIVE started off with PRIMADONNA GIRL, AIQING gave us another chance with CUPID, EMI left us craving more with BAM YANG GANG, RAON hit us in the feels with KILLING ME and there was ONE MORE SOLO that finished off the series. except there is only four members off QUARTZ so who the heck is this NEKO person?
well, all i can tell you is this MAKNAE ATE FIRST with her solo track, DKDK. is that a dig you are reading RIGHT NOW? or maybe the real dig was when STARGIRL confirmed NEKO represents TIGER'S EYE QUARTZ. so scandalous. the real scandal was when STARGIRL proved these QUEENS NEVER CRY over past shitty companies when they announced their comeback (finally), RETURN OF THE DYING STAR with SHOOTING STARS as the title. oops, looks like i forgot to mention it was actually a redebut as 5STARZ with NEKO as their newest addition. how can one forget that SHINING STAR, definitely not knetz?

another brother
time :: december 2018
summary :: yuri wanted nothing more than a hug from her older brother — but when he wasn’t home, yuri finds herself getting another brother.
warnings :: busy schedules, stress, crying, not having time to sleep/eat

It had been a long, exhaustive, excruciating day for Yuri. With back to back practices, vocal lessons and schedules, she wanted nothing more than to throw herself in the comfort of her brother’s arms — just like when she was younger. She hadn’t seen Jae in a few weeks — which was the longest time she went without visiting him for years. She didn’t realize how much stress Jae had relieved her of until now, and she swore she was never going to go without her brother for this long again.
Thankfully, Jae had given her his spare key when he moved out of the dorms, telling her to use it for ‘emergency purposes only’ — which resulted in her breaking the rule just an hour after he handed the key to her. To be fair — she had just heard that she would be able to meet one of her favorite artists due to their comeback schedules overlapping, and it was quite the emergency.
Yuri knew she should have texted Jae before she came over — because she wasn’t even sure if anyone was home. If Jae wasn’t there, she knew Bambi, Jae’s dog, would be there, and nothing was more therapeutic than getting cuddles from an overly excited dog — expect for, actually going to therapy, which was something Yuri wasn’t able to do recently, not with her hectic schedule.
Yuri opened the door to Jae’s apartment and closed it behind her, sliding off her shoes and putting on her house slippers — ones with an adorable bunny face and bunny ears attached, courtesy gift from Jae’s three year boyfriend, Jeonghan.
Jae and Jeonghan had lived together for under a year — the couple only moving in together at the beginning of the year. Jeonghan and Yuri were acquaintances before he fell in love with her brother — and they had slowly became better friends as his and Jae’s relationship progressed.
Jeonghan had been home almost everytime she came over when she had an “emergency — and slowly got used to hearing her obnoxious yell as soon as she entered the house. But this time, Yuri didn’t let out a scream or slam the door behind her, instead, she was slowly walking into the living room, praying that her brother was home. She could feel her emotions starting to bubble up in her throat again, tears beginning to cloud her vision. She swore she could have burst when Bambi excitedly jumped down ran towards her, surprising Jeonghan, who had been cuddling her before she left him.
“Oh, Yuri. I didn’t hear you come in. I must be going deaf from the amount of times you screamed coming in.” Jeonghan chuckled, frowning when Yuri didn’t laugh for comment, only absently mindlessly scratching behind Bambi’s ears. “Is everything alright?” Jeonghan asked, furrowing his eyebrows even more when he heard the girl sniff, wiping under her eyes with her sweatshirt. He never saw Yuri be vulnerable in front of him — it almost scared him to see the girl in tears. Something had to be very wrong in order for Yuri to break down her walls so easily, and Jeonghan didn’t know what to do in response.
“Is Jae home?” Yuri asks instead of answering, slowly raising her head to look over at Jeonghan, only to look back down when she saw his concerned expression. Fuck, she couldn’t hold back her emotions for a few more minutes — and now she had someone worried for her. She couldn’t help but feel like a burden when Jeonghan got up from his spot on the couch to move infront of her, crouching down to where she sat on the ground.
“No, he’s not home. He went grocery shopping,” Jeonghan answered, awkwardly clearing his throat when Yuri only turned away from him, hurriedly wiping her face — in hopes to wipe away any expression of pain. “You could call him, i’m sure he would pick up —”
“No, no. It’s okay, I think i’ll just go home. I’ll call him later.” Yuri said, pushing herself up and attempting to walk towards to door, halting when Jeonghan stood in front of her. Yuri tried to move around him, but the man only moved with her, blocking her in. “Jeonghan, please, let me go home.” Yuri sighed exasperatedly, biting her lip in annoyance when Jeonghan continued to block her, eventually grabbing her shoulders to keep her from moving.
“I’m not letting you leave when you’re this upset — now sit, and tell me what I can do to help.” Jeonghan stated, and if Yuri had any energy left in her body, she would have pushed past him and smarted off to him, but she had no motivation to continue to fight with man. With a defeated sigh, Yuri threw herself onto the couch, pulling a blanket from the side and wrapping herself in it, resting her head on the armrest.
“I really don’t want to talk about it.” Yuri muttered, swallowing harshly in hopes that it would get rid of her tears. “I know you want to help, but I just don’t want to talk about it...please.” Yuri said after a few beats of silence, her voice only being a pained whisper. She saw Jeonghan sigh and moved to sit next to her, leaning back and resting his head against the back of the sofa, turning his head to look at her after a few minutes.
“Are you sure? Because i’m a really good listener.”
Yuri knew that Jeonghan wouldn’t give up on the subject anytime soon — his expression mimicking one of a kicked puppy. Yuri couldn’t push him away again — his pout pulling at her heartstrings. So, with another defeated sigh, Yuri pushed herself up again to sit, bring her knees to her chest and turning to face Jeonghan, looking back down to her hands when she started talking.
“I don’t know...i’ve just been really stressed lately. I have no time at all, I don’t even have time to go to therapy. It’s been so busy — and I know that I should be happy because that means Ateez is getting more popular but — it’s so exhausting.” Yuri admitted, her voice cracking when she realized how tired she truly was. “I just — I can’t handle it. I cant constantly be going from schedule to schedule without any break at all, I just can’t do that. And everyone else seems to be fine, they’re tired, but they still manage to smile through it all. I just feel like i’m holding my group back — in so many ways.”
Yuri raised her eyebrows after she finished talking — she hadn’t even opened up that much to her members. She knew that her feelings would hurt them, and that they would tell her over and over again that she wasn’t holding them back at all — but Yuri knew that there was some truth to it. Ateez missed out on so many opportunities just because they had a girl on their team — not even her popularity from the past could save them from the hate. In fact, it only made the hate stronger.
Yuri thought that she wouldn’t let the hate get to her — especially with her tough skin, but the comments were terrifying. They hit every wound Yuri had with a grain of salt, and left no remorse for her whatsoever.
“You aren’t holding your team back — not one bit. The boys might be able to smile through it, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t exhausted too. Some people are just better at masking it than others, and that’s okay.” Jeonghan said after awhile, softly smiling when Yuri looked up at him.
“When I first debuted, it was so busy. And it only got even busier — we barely even had time to sleep, let alone eat. Some members could handle the pressure...while some of us couldn’t. But that didn’t make them any lesser to us, because they were still our members at the end of the day. We are all human, we can’t be running full speed at life all the time.” Jeonghan finished, sighing as he thought about his earlier debut days. It was hard and stressful, but he had friends and family on his side to help him get through it.
Jeonghan wanted to be a person that Yuri trusted and could come to when things got hard, like she did tonight. He knew she originally came for her brother, but he was glad she stayed with him. He heard the girl sniffling next to him, so he quickly reached over and handed her the tissue box that was laying on the coffee table, calling Bambi back into the living room.
“Bambi! Give Yuri kisses!” Jeonghan said, giggling when Bambi laid on top on Yuri’s figure, attacking her with love and affection. Jeonghan couldn’t help but smile when he heard Yuri’s giggles, laughing as she attempted at pushing the dog away.
“You can call me Yeong-mi, Jeonghan.” Yuri said once Bambi calmed down, now resting her head in Yuri’s lap. “And thank you for the kind words, I really needed that.”
“Of course, I was a rookie once too.” Jeonghan joked, nudging Yuri’s side, scoffing when Yuri shook her head in disbelief. “I’m not that old!” Jeonghan protested, only for Yuri to sarcastically agree.
The two bickered back and forth about Jeonghan acting like he was an old man until they heard the front door creak open, Bambi waking up and running to attack the intruder, smelling for any treats in the grocery bags.
“Yeongmi? Why are you here?” Jae asked once he walked into the living room, freezing in his tracks when he say his sister lean over to put Jeonghan in a choke-hold, biting back his own amused chuckle.
“Shouldn’t you be excited to see me?” Yuri exclaimed, pushing herself off of the couch to slap her brother’s chest, laughing when he picked her up and threw her on the arm chair next to them, squishing her cheeks together. “Is this how you treat me after everything i’ve done for you?”
Jae could only sigh and roll his eyes, ruffling her hair before going to sit next to Jeonghan. “I don’t know if you breaking into my house every week is really doing something for me...” Jae mumbled, yelping when Jeonghan pinched his side.
“You should be nice to your sister! She comes over because she misses and loves you!” Jeonghan scolded, winking at Yuri when she giggled. Jae only shook his head and pulled his sister into a hug, smiling when she didn’t push him away.
“I love you very much, sis” Jae whispered, making Yuri almost break into tears again. She didn’t say anything, but Jae knew when Yuri wrapped her arms around him, that she loved him too. Yuri knew that as long as her brother was on her side, everything would be okay. Jae would always be on her side - no matter what.
And now, she knows she can count on Jeonghan too.
“Oh to witness sibling love - this is too precious!” Jeonghan yelled out, making both Yuri and Jae laugh, separating to see Jeonghan dramatically wiping away tears. Even with all of her hardships, Yuri wouldn’t wish for any other life.

fears of the above : cjy
in which choi juyeon realizes she shouldn't have attended today's going seventeen filming, especially when she has an extreme fear of heights and was chosen as the last member to go bungee jumping. warning : jinny suffers a panic attack takes place during gose ep 38 word count : 1.2k please note that this isn't how all panic attacks are or happen. i am writing this fit to my own experience and this is not the same as anybody else's panic attacks.
At this moment, there was nothing Juyeon could do except regret. Regret playing scissors, regret pushing her hair out of her face, regret even agreeing to come to today's shoot. The only things going through her mind were the words "Why did I say yes?" and how insanely tall the mount is from the ground when you're the one standing on it. Not even her members words of encouragement could get to her at this point.
Just half an hour ago, Juyeon was down there, laughing and playing around with the boys. She was happy, enjoying her time. That was until she was tasked with taking her sweater off without moving her hair with her fingers before, during, or after. Of course, she lost. The second she heard the enthusiastic "Jump! Jump! Jump! Jump!" coming from Seungkwan's stupid button, she began to dread even agreeing to Chan when he excitedly told her about their plans to go bungee jumping as an episode and that "she absolutely had to come!"
Things only got worse when she kept losing in the jumpers' game of rock, paper, scissors. She felt like a fool when she played scissors instead of any other option against Hoshi's rock. The dancer jumped in relief while Juyeon stood there, frozen. It was then Chan and Mingyu knew they were forgetting something, something important.
Back to present time; Eyes, at least thirty pairs Juyeon assumed, were staring at her, ranging from her worried members to the camera men that had cameras pointed right up to the tears about to spill from her eyes. Choi Juyeon, the member of Seventeen that couldn't handle a simple jump off a platform. Choi Juyeon, the member of Seventeen that would be known for her overwhelming fear of heights from the second the episode aired for the public's eyes. Choi Juyeon, the weak member of Seventeen. She could hear the thousands of SNS posts and articles already.
There she stood, lips flat-lined and eyes already watering just from looking at the water below her. Everyone near her stared expectantly, as if they were waiting for her to just break down and quit. Juyeon didn't understand why there were still cameras pointed directly at her face when she was probably about to have the worst panic attack of her life.
"Hyung, I don't think she's 'just scared' anymore. Don't you see her? We can see her shaking, and we're all the way down here." Dokyeom whispered to Jeonghan, who was seated next to them. Jeonghan nodded, agreeing with Dokyeom's words. Whenever the men asked if she was alright, the nearest staff member simply told them "she's just scared, she'll get over it eventually." But this was their sister, and over time they realized something was wrong.
"Wait, you need to get her off there." Chan suddenly sat up from his position on the grass, as if he remembered something extremely important. "No can do, kid." A staff member told him, but Chan responded with a harsh glare before continuing his statement. By now, the other twelve members were looking at him, curious about what he had to stay. "I mean it, now. Juyeon's not just afraid. She's scared of heights. Like, super scared. Terrified." He ran a hand through his hair, exhaling deeply. Now they all freaked, jumping up at the younger's intel.
"A-Are you serious? I can't get off? I can't do this. I'll pay. I'll do anything. Just- just get me off, please." The worker shook his head at Juyeon's words, repeating the same "you gotta jump now that the harness is on and tightened, ma'am" he told her before. Juyeon was sobbing now, legs feeling like jello. And yet there were still cameras pointed at her. Everything felt like it was too far away for her. But it all seemed to be closing in on her too, in a way. The adults around her looked bored now, like they had dealt with this already and didn't want to deal with it again.
Juyeon shakily grabbed the handrails, trying to calm herself down. The chaos in her body was similar to what was going on below her; thirteen boys worriedly asking the staff members what they could do to help.
"Come on, seriously. You can't force her to jump."
"Do you not see her? She's having a panic attack, get her off."
"You can't just let one of us go up there or something?"
By now, there was a whole team of staff members alongside the boys trying to get the youngest down. But somehow, nothing was getting through to the stubborn team of workers. "She's gotta jump." they told the group, standing protectively at the lift.
"Please, I can't do this," Juyeon sobbed, a hand over her face. "I just want to get off!" But she couldn't hear a response, if there even was one, for the ringing in her ear served as a blockage of sorts. The girl was on the ground now, shaking vigorously. Finally, something clicked in the staff members' minds that she wasn't just joking around to get off. It began to become a mess up on the platform, too. Which didn't help at all, might I add.
While the group was wondering what to do, Juyeon sat, still shaking and sobbing, trying to find a way to pull the harness off her body. She just wanted to get down, back to the safety of the ground and her members. Then, she heard something. Like something, or someone, was calling her name.
"Jinny! Juyeon! Can you hear me? It's okay, honey, I promise." As she was processing the person's words, Juyeon felt a set of hands on her own and another attempting to undo whatever hooks and ties were done on her harness to take it off. When she looked up, she saw the faces of Seungcheol, the owner of the hands that held tightly onto hers, Jeonghan, who was currently working with another employee to undo her harness, and Joshua, who was rubbing a comforting hand on her shoulder while trying to talk to her.
"Come, come, stand." said Jeonghan, who somehow was able to work through the tightness of the hooks on the girl's harness and was trying to take it off of her. She complied, wobbly standing up. "I'm scared." were the first words to leave Juyeon's mouth. When the weight of the equipment was finally taken off of her, Juyeon immediately leaned into Seungcheol. "I'm so scared."
"We know. Please don't hide stuff like this anymore. I'm serious, 'Yeon." The use of her nickname just made the girl cling onto the oldest tighter, her head dug into his neck, allowing the man to sit down. "If you ever feel like you don't want to do something you can just tell us," Jeonghan added, squatting next to where Seungcheol and Juyeon sat. "None of us want you to become like this because you felt like you were forced to something you didn't want to." Joshua nodded along with his words, still rubbing Juyeon's back.
The three of them stayed like that for the next few minutes until Juyeon could calm down. Eventually, Juyeon raised her head, wiping her face with the sleeve of her wool sweater. "I'm sorry," she said, standing up. "I made you worry. I'm sorry."
"Don't say that, Yeonie. It's not your fault. Let's just get back down, yeah?" Joshua said, offering the girl his hand with a warm smile. Seungcheol and Jeonghan followed the pair. "Hey, we should totally get ice cream after we leave." The second oldest told them, a slight smirk on his face.

IN THE SOOP EP 3 BEHIND
pairing :: rosie x dino

synopsis :: rosie isn’t feeling good.
a/n :: italics are cut out of the episode and not in the final cut. hopefully this makes up for me not having anything to write for ep 3.

Seungkwan and Rosie arrived back at the site after their jog. She felt a bit gross from sweating and also being in the rain for the majority of their run, so she showered as soon as she reached the lower house.
She had no idea why that during her shower, her stomach started to cramp. It may have been from her lack of exercise in the past or that her period was on its way. Even though she wanted to get out and socialize after, she couldn’t exert herself. She clothed herself, going straight from the bathroom to the bedroom. She tried her best to get comfy, propping up several pillows and setting her phone against one as she watched videos.
She was able to doze off and sleep the pain away but was awoken by Dino sitting at the edge of the bed and poking her forehead. She furrowed her eyebrows, groaning and covering her head with the blankets.
“Hey, we haven’t seen much of you today.” He smiled, patting her hip. Now she couldn’t even open her eyes, even the light peeking in from outside the blanket was making her head throb.
“My head and stomach hurt so bad.” She whispered, trying not to speak too loud to make it worse. He quickly adjusted his tone as he began to worry for her.
“Are you okay? Is it your period?” He ran his fingers over her wrist as she shook her head.
“It could be.”
He frowned, watching as she took the covers off her head. “Can I get you anything? Hyungs made food earlier and we kept some leftovers.”
“I don’t think I can eat anything. I’m sorry.” She apologized, feeling terrible for not wanting to eat the food that her members made. “I didn’t bring much. I don’t even have pain relievers.”
“I can go and check with Jeonghan or Seungkwan if they have anything. They usually have that stuff loaded.”
“Please.” She let out a big exhale, burying her face in the pillow as she wrapped her arms around herself.
“Of course. I can see if I can find a hot water bottle. Maybe that would help?” He offered some suggestions as he stood up, tucking the blankets in under her feet and making sure she was comfortable. “I could bring you some tea?”
She could only nod her head, trying to force a smile as he was on his way, turning the light off before leaving.
After a while, Dino came back to the room with his hands full. She tried her best to sit up, her head only pounding more.
He set the hot teacup on the nightstand, along with some pills. Before sitting down, he grabbed a water bottle out of his pocket and a sock.
She widened her eyes, pursing her lips. “Don’t make me laugh.”
“No, just wait.” He slid the hot water bottle into the sock and started swinging it gently. He snorted at himself as she covered her face with her hands, trying not to laugh. He pulled the top of the covers lower, pressing the new invention onto her stomach. He looked up at her for any indication that it may have worked. “Is it warm?”
She nodded, smiling at him endearingly. He grabbed her hand, placing it over the water bottle before reaching for the teacup and pills. “Jeonghan had some. The tea’s not too hot, just be careful.” He turned the cup so she would be able to grab it with the handle. He held open his hands as she grabbed each of the tiny pills.
She blew on the tea before sipping on it. She nodded her head at how good it tasted. He knew exactly how much honey she liked in her tea. She quickly downed the pills, washing it down with the warm liquid.
“Hopefully this will make you feel better.” He brushed his fingers through her hair, sympathy peeking through his smile as he looked at her. She nodded, taking big sips after another and finishing half of her tea.
“Come lay down.” She patted the free space next to her on the mattress. He couldn’t say no.
Turning off the lights, he went to the foot of the bed before climbing in next to her, sticking his legs under the covers and adjusting pillows for himself. He propped himself up with his elbow, watching her finish her tea and putting it on the nightstand. She scooted her body down on the bed, laying on her side and keeping the water bottle close to her stomach. Dino slipped his arm under her pillow, his other hand resting over her stomach and rubbing slow circles over it. The DIY heating pad and his gestures were enough to help her fall asleep again.

Guess I wouldn't feel comfortable just not saying anything. Reading what Minghao had to say was pretty disappointing. Can't even say I'm mad but just...disappointed. I'm a fat woman so his comments about fat people particularly sucked but, even the ones on thin people were a yikes too. I don't know if he'll say anything in response but, I'd like to cautiously hope he does. So, I just feel off about him right now I guess. Time and his reaction will probably tell how I feel going forward.

My Only One | Ming Chapter
January 19, 2023
Ming stared at her phone, her chat with Mark open on her screen. She had been excited to see that the young man had sent her a voice message, it wasn't something he did much, only if he was too tired to type his thoughts.
So, when he started his message with that he didn't want to talk to her anymore, her mind went blank and she had to restart the message several times. His words weren't the best thing to wake up to in the morning.
Mark's voice broke her heart, it was scratchy like he had been crying for a while before recording it. She didn't know where all of that was coming from. Just the day before they had been sharing songs with one another to add to their playlists.
''Hey, Yer! Do you want pancakes or eggs- Oh my god, are you okay?''
Soomin ran up to her best friend, who hadn't realized tears were running down her cheeks. She sat down next to her on the bed and put her arms around Ming, rubbing her hands up and down Ming's arms.
Ming didn't say anything, she simply pressed play and Mark's voice was heard through the room. Soomin frowned throughout listening to the entire message, just as confused as Ming. ''What does he mean 'someone else'? You don't have a boyfriend.'' She noted.
''He doesn't want to talk with me anymore, Min-ah.'' With her teary eyes she looked at Soomin, not believing that it was Mark who was saying all this.
Soomin pouted at her words, giving her a big hug. ''Oh, Yerimie… I don't know what to say.'' They remained like that for a few minutes, Ming silently sobbing in her best friend's arms.
A thought suddenly came into her mind. ''What if he's talking about Yeonjun?'' Ming said, pulling away from the embrace. ''What if he knows we kissed?''
''Did you tell anyone?'' Soomin asked her.
Ming shook her head, the only person who she had told was sitting next to her. ''No, only you.''
''Well, maybe Yeonjun told someone and they told Mark.'' She nodded at Soomin's words, that was the only explanation for the entire situation. ''I'm gonna call him.''
Just like Ming expected, it didn't take long for the man in question to pick up the phone. ''Yes, Yer?'' His voice beamed through the phone.
''Hey, uh, small question- did you tell anyone about, uh, well, when we were in the practice room and stuff?'' She stuttered, a bit embarrassed about directly mentioning the kiss.
Yeonjun chuckled. ''Did I tell anyone about us kissing?'' He seemingly wasn't as embarrassed as her.
''Yes, that.''
''I, uh, told Chan.''
Ming's eyes widened and her heart dropped to her stomach. ''You told Chan? Lee Chan? My member, Chan?''
''Yes…'' he trailed, ''was I not supposed to do that?'' Yeonjun got nervous at her words, suspecting he made a mistake by telling Chan.
''You only told him? No one else?''
''I only told Chan, I promise.''
She knew for a fact that Chan isn't close with any of the NCT members. However, other members are close with them. Which means that Chan told one of the members about her and Yeonjun, and that member spilled the beans to someone from NCT who then told Mark.
''Okay, thank you. Bye.'' Ming quickly hung up, not caring if it might come off as rude.
''The members know.''
Soomin' expression mirrored Ming's, disbelieving wide eyes. ''You think Chan told them?''
''He has to have told someone, how else would Mark know?'' Ming argued, not seeing any other way to how Mark would think she had someone else.
''Are you gonna send something to Mark?''
Ming shrugged her shoulders at Soomin's question. ''I don't know, he's probably not gonna respond so does it even matter what I send?''
''True.''
The female idol stood up from the bed. ''Well, I'm gonna go to the dorm and I'm gonna kill Chan.''
Soomin weakly laughed, still concerned about the situation. ''You know you can always come here, right? I'm never too busy for you.''
''I love you, Soo.'' After putting on her shoes, she approached her friend again and embraced her. They have known each other for 13 years, they practically grew up together. Soomin was that constant she could always fall back on, and she couldn't be more grateful for her.
''I love you… now go murder that dinosaur.''
Ming was probably going to receive a ticket for the way she was speeding down the streets of Seoul, but she was angry and ready to combust at any time. She sprinted up the stairs and instead of taking the normal route, and going to her own dorm, she went to the other one.
She typed in the code and didn't waste a second to storm inside, not even taking off her shoes or jacket.
''Lee Jung Chan!''
The eyes of Cheol, Joshua, Jun, Dokyeom, Seungkwan and Vernon looked up at her, most of them flinching by her sudden appearance.
''Is everything okay?''
''Where is that little bastard?'' She ignored Joshua's question, looking around the living room and not spotting her fellow member there.
The members glanced at each other, not knowing what to do. They hadn't seen the young woman that angry in years. Wonwoo was the one to bite the bullet. ''Kitchen.''
''Thank you!'' They were surprised she still held her manners and thanked the man for telling her where the maknae was.
Ming angrily stomped to the kitchen where she was met with Mingyu, Minghao and the culprit. She pointed her finger at the latter. ''You! I'm gonna kill you!''
Chan's eyes widened and alarms went off in his head telling him to run, so that's exactly what he did.
''Come here, you punk!'' Ming didn't waste a second and ran after him as he left the kitchen and took the other door to go back into the living room, hoping to use the other members as human shields. ''Yerim, leave me alone! I didn't do anything!''
At first, the others thought it was funny to see the two youngest play this cat-and-mouse game with each other as it brought back memories from when they were teenagers. However, it quickly became clear that Ming might actually wanted to hurt Chan.
Cheol stopped Dino's running by grabbing his shoulder, while Mingyu easily picked up Ming and lifted her feet off the ground to be sure she wouldn't run off again. ''Let me go!''
''What is this about? Why are you so angry?'' Their leader asked, looking at the woman in Mingyu's arms.
Ming rolled her eyes, her anger still not simmered down. ''Why am I angry?! Because of that little shit, Mark thinks I have a boyfriend and he doesn't want to talk to me anymore! That's why I'm fucking angry!''
''I didn't tell him anything! I don't even know what you're talking about!'' Chan yelled back, defending himself from her words.
''Stop acting innocent! I know you blabbed to the members about Yeonjun! You're the only one who knew!'' Ming continued, Chan's defense making her more frustrated.
Cheol pulled his hands from Chan's shoulders. ''He's the only one that knew what?''
''Yerim, I promise you, I swear on our friendship that I didn't say anything to anyone! I don't know how Mark found out!''
Ming shook her head. ''Don't swear anything on our friendship! How dare you! You're the only one who knows about Yeonjun, he told me himself! Just admit that you snitched!'' Tears welled up in her eyes, upset that Chan would swear those lies on their friendship.
''I didn't snitch! I'm sorry that Mark doesn't want to talk to you anymore, but it's not my fault, so stop yelling at me!'' Chan started getting emotional as well, they had never fought like this and he wanted it to end.
Ming struggled in Mingyu's arms, wanting to be let go. ''Why are you being like this! Just tell me the fucking truth!''
''Stop it!'' Cheol's voice boomed through the apartment, followed by a silence where a dropped pin could be heard.
Mingyu dropped Ming from his arms and she fixed her clothing, while Chan took a couple steps back, still not trusting she won't start chasing after him again.
''Both of you sit down now.'' The leader's voice had reduced in decibels, but the sternness was still there and the two youngest followed his demand right away. Ming took the seat next to Dokyeom, while Chan sat next to Wonwoo. A clueless Vernon in-between them.
Cheol pointed his finger at Ming. ''You have some explaining to do and you're gonna do it calmly, without raising your voice or attacking your brother. Physically or verbally.''
Ming looked down at the ground, feeling like a child being grounded by their parents. ''I got a voice message from Mark in which he said that he didn't want to talk to me anymore, because he thinks I have someone else.''
Joshua went to stand in front of her, next to Cheol. ''I thought you weren't talking to Mark anymore?'' He recalled their talk from a month ago where she said that she hadn't spoken to him since she went to his concert.
''I lied.'' She mumbled, but still loud enough for everyone to hear.
The silence irked her, and she looked back up at the two men. Joshua seemed more disappointed than angry, while Cheol had an unreadable expression on his face.
''Just talking or also meeting him?'' The lack of emotion in the leader's voice scared her, her eyes hesitantly going to his.
Ming observed her feet again. ''Also seeing him outside of our schedules.'' She knew one day her lies would catch up to her, but she didn't care much at that moment. ''But that's not the point now-''
''Oh, is the fact that you've been lying to us for months inconvenient to you right now? I'm so sorry, Ming.'' Cheol's sarcastic tone resulted in a loud sigh from the woman in question.
Dokyeom briefly glimpsed at Joshua who was already looking at him, both having the same thought on their mind. ''That was you in the park, wasn't it? With Mark?'' The American asked, already knowing what the answer was gonna be.
Ming nodded, remembering how they had almost been caught by the two vocal team members when taking a stroll in the snow.
''Why did you lie to us, Yerimie?'' Mingyu joined in, feeling a bit hurt by Ming having lied to them for several months.
She scoffed, all her frustrations returning. ''You're actually asking me why? Did all of you suddenly forget how you admitted to not trusting the guy? Or getting mad that I went on a date with him? Or the time I invited him to our dorm and Joshua was blatantly rude to him? And I still want my explanation as to why he thinks I have someone else! I should be interrogating all of you, not the other way around!''
''Yerim, I didn't tell Mark anything.'' Chan spoke up after being quiet since they sat down.
Ming stared at him, unimpressed. ''Bullshit!'' The two went back and forth again with each other, arguing like two toddlers who are fighting over a stupid toy.
Meanwhile, a guilty Seungkwan watched them from behind. As soon as Ming started screaming about Mark thinking she has a boyfriend, his conversation with Jungwoo the day before came into his mind. He recalled singing to himself that she had a boyfriend, completely forgetting that the NCT member could still hear him.
Realizing it had gone too far, he interrupted the younger ones. ''It was me.''
At the confession, Chan and Ming stopped bickering and everyone in the room watched him. Seungkwan took the space in-between Joshua and Cheol. ''I was talking to Jungwoo on the phone yesterday, and he said something about that new restaurant by Han River that you went to with Soomin. I told him that you went there and I was gonna look for you to ask you about it, so I asked Chan where you were. He said you were on a date with Yeonjun, and I might have said something about you having a boyfriend. I said it jokingly, but Jungwoo must have heard it and told Mark about it. I'm so sorry, Yerimie.''
Ming attentively listened to Seungkwan, remaining quiet even after he was done. ''I'm sorry too, Ming-ah,'' Chan added, ''I shouldn't have said so carelessly that you were on a date with Yeonjun.'' He apologized.
''You're going out with Yeonjun as well? Were you planning on telling us that or not?'' Cheol interrupted, shocked at how much she actually had been hiding from them.
Ming stood up from the couch, she had enough of the interrogation she was being put through. ''I'm leaving, this is giving me a headache.''
''You can leave when you tell us the truth, Yerim.'' Cheol stared down at her, motioning for her to sit down again.
She groaned. ''The truth? Alright. While I was seeing Mark, I also started seeing Yeonjun. I felt conflicted about my feelings, because they're both great guys and I wasn't sure what to do. However, I made up my mind. That's why I wanted to talk to Yeonjun yesterday, but-''
''You've been going on dates with two guys and you didn't think once to mention it to us?'' Joshua interrupted this time, absolutely flabbergasted that she had been hiding this much from everyone.
She looked over at Joshua with wide eyes. ''Are you even listening to me?''
''Yah! Kim Yerim, don't talk like that.'' Cheol scolded her, not like the attitude that came with her words.
Ming rolled her eyes for what felt like the 100th time that day. ''Oh, yeah, defend him again! Like you always do!'' She argued with him.
''So, all those times you said you were with Soomin or with Chaeyoung, you were with either of those guys?'' Joshua demanded, the question coming out urgently.
She shook her head. ''No, not all those times, just a few times.''
''You said you were with Soomin yesterday, was that also a lie?'' Cheol asked her, his patience running out.
''I was with Soomin yesterday, that wasn't a lie.''
''But Yeonjun said-''
''Yeonjun canceled, he was too tired from his schedules and I went to Soomin's house instead.'' Ming interrupted Chan, who clearly hadn't been informed that Yeonjun had called her saying they should meet another time.
Vernon spoke up for the first time since Ming arrived. ''Is Yeonjun your boyfriend or not?'' He was confused as to why Mark would be upset about Yeonjun apparently being the girl’s boyfriend.
Ming shook her head. ''No, he's not my boyfriend.'' Since it was Vernon, she dropped her defensive behavior and calmly answered his question. The man simply nodded, having all the information he wanted to know.
''This entire situation is the reason why I don't involve you guys in my love life, or whatever is left of it. I get that some of you still think of me as that 11 year-old girl that always wanted to hug and hold hands with everyone, but I'm not, okay? I'm 24 years-old and I'm allowed to date whoever I want to date!'' Ming got all her frustrations off of her chest, she had been wanting to say those words for a long time.
Cheol looked down, before making eye-contact with Ming. ''I understand that, but we just want to look out for you and when you lie to us, we can't exactly do that.''
Ming made her way to the hallway, just wanting to be left alone. ''I don't need you to look out for me! I know it's hard for you to accept, but you're not my fucking father, Cheol! I don't need to share every single detail of my life with you.''
''Alright, I'll stop caring then! Do whatever you want to do, Kim Yerim! If you want to be an adult so bad, go be an adult! But don't come crying to me when those boys are gonna break your heart and you want to talk to me about it!''
Ming's words had broken something inside the man who had been taking care of the young woman since she was 11 years-old. According to her, she didn't need him anymore and that was the last thing he would ever want.
Hearing his ramble of anger, Ming threw one last dagger in his heart.
''I hate you, Choi Seungcheol!''

― the moment in which the seventeen members find out their significant other hid their injury from them
s.coups
first of all - the chance of cheol not knowing you got hurt is this big 🤏 mans somehow knows everything when it comes to you, even if he’s overseas he. still. knows. he would be… i don’t want to say disappointed in you not telling him, because you’re still your own person and he cannot tell you what to do, but… he just cares about you so much, truly. the thought of you hurt or in pain without him knowing is heartbreaking to cheol. he’s a caretaker through and through, especially for his significant other - there’s nothing seungcheol wouldn’t do for them. at the same time, though, he feels so proud to have a partner that is so strong.
jeonghan
the second he finds out you got hurt or injured jeonghan becomes quite passive aggressive. he’s not necessarily angry with you, it’s just that… what wouldn’t you tell him? he’s your boyfriend, he’s supposed to be next to you and care for you when you need it. you do the same for him, so why would you push him away? hannie understands that sometimes you just need your space, and everyone is different when it comes to being sick and in pain, but he’d still be a bit hurt by you not telling him. at the end of the day, he’d try to talk to you, though, and explain why it was so important to him to know.
joshua
it’s not that he’s angry, more like disappointed (all that disappointment, though, doesn’t come from pettiness or anger, but care and love). he gets that people react differently to getting injured, but still - he’s your boyfriend, and a boyfriend that cares a lot at that. shua always respects all of your decisions, no matter what, but when you get hurt and don’t tell him… you might not see it as important enough, but to him, your well-being and comfort is all that matters. he can’t imagine how you must’ve felt going through all of that alone, and yes, he gets that that was what you wanted, but still.
jun
tries his best not to show how it affects him, when he finds out about your injury, but fails miserably. jun is a bit disappointed that you didn’t tell him first things first, because he’d be more than happy to take care of you (and he’d have the perfect opportunity to be extra clingy). would be unusually pouty and whiny after, waddling after you at any given moment and asking you “why? why didn’t you tell him?”. was it because you didn’t trust him and his caretaker abilities, did you think it wasn’t big enough of a deal to tell him about, or maybe you saw your injury as a burden? he needs to know or else he won’t be able to fall asleep.
hoshi
you don’t want to keep something as serious as an injury from soonyoung, because the second he finds out you got hurt AND didn’t think about telling him, he gives you the silent treatment + becomes so hard to deal with. he can be petty when he’s in a good mood, so imagine how he’d be behaving after finding out. hoshi gets so frustrated because why wouldn’t you tell him? it’s a whole ass injury, not a scratch, there’s nothing that could excuse you from not telling him. he’s aware he’s not the best with taking care of injuries, but that doesn’t matter he wouldn't do his absolute best. just… tell him next time.
wonwoo
he can feel his eye twitch when he finds out about your injury. it gets even worse when you tell him it wasn’t that big of a deal and he shouldn't worry. immediate game over for jeon wonwoo. you might think he wouldn’t get as annoyed by it as other members who are more outwardly affectionate… WRONG + he doesn’t consider himself the overprotective type, ALSO WRONG. wonwoo is a man who lives for you and your comfort even if he doesn’t see that himself, so the fact that you didn’t bother to tell him about something as big as an literal injury??? JAIL!!! will cross his arms and stump his feet to make a point.
woozi
he understands that for you it might be a small thing, your injury, that you don't see it as something important enough to tell him about, but… it’d still kind of hurt jihoon if you didn’t tell him? like, on one hand he’s so enchanted by you because you're so independent and strong and willing to go through your pain alone, but on second he’s your boyfriend. he might not be the most obvious with how he shows his love and physical touch and outward words of affirmation, but he still cares. a lot. he wants to take care of you, he wants to keep you warm and as comfy as he can, so please don’t brush off matters like that.
dk
at first he’s very confused when he finds out that you got injured, because that can’t be true, right? you’d immediately tell him if you got hurt, 100%. but when seokmin realises that your injury was not a cruel joke he nearly cries. why, why on earth wouldn’t you tell him? and it crushes him so much - you, in pain, without him by your side to hold your hand through it all. he’s quite a mess afterwards, trying to gather his emotions. because he has to get through to you and try to explain how much it hurt him that you didn’t tell him. even if you refuse his help, he just needs to know, that’s all.
mingyu
there’s a hit of annoyance in gyu when he finds out that you got hurt and didn’t tell him. like… you’re well aware of how big of a caretaker mingyu is, and how important acts of service are for him, and yet you decide to hide the injury from him. why? he understands that a part of you might think of yourself as a burden, but he has told you numerous times how happy it makes him when you ask him for help, even with the smallest things. but you’re still pushing him away? it’s just - it’s so gut wrenching when he finds out that you had to suffer on your own and he didn’t know.
the8
huh, so you don’t believe in his healing abilities? hao becomes extremely petty, because no one’s better at being a certified nurse than him (not even a real nurse), and with you not telling him he feels like you don’t trust him enough to take care of you properly. he genuinely likes to take care of his loved ones, he doesn’t mind being the housewife, and he definitely doesn't think you’re a burden because of your injury, so why would you hide it? after he finds out he sits you down and has a talk with you - hao tries to explain his point of view and how it made him feel when you didn’t tell him, and why you shouldn’t hide things like that from him.
seungkwan
gets so so so petty, oh my god. huh, so you, his girlfriend, didn’t tell him, your boyfriend, you got hurt? you just didn’t? yeah, not on boo seungkwan’s watch. why on earth wouldn’t you call him first things first? he’s your literal boyfriend, it’s his duty and privilege to take care of you, keep you warm and loved, no matter what. and he doesn’t want to hear that “but i don’t want to be a burden” shit, because you. are. not. and you could never be one. so you’re trying to tell him you were hurt and alone while he was living his best life? he’d make sure to talk to you and make you swear you’d tell him next time a situation like that would occur.
vernon
on one hand he understands that you might not see the injury as something big enough to tell him, like - he has gotten hurt in the past and didn’t tell you either, but… it’d be nice if you did. vernon is not sure why he’s bothered by you not telling him, usually he’s very okay with most of your decisions, but a part of him is scared that the reason you hid the injury is because of you thinking he won’t care. yes, he might not be the best at taking care of people and prefers being the one taken care of, but you’re his partner and vernon will do anything he can to take the best care of you.
dino
his heart drops when he finds out you got injured and didn’t tell him. chan thrives on helping and taking care of his loved ones, he doesn’t care if he has to pull another all nighter just to make someone else happy - he does it with great joy. so when his partner, the apple of his eye, hides their injury from him? it hurts. it hurts deeply. there’s a part of him that feels betrayed, and he cannot help but think if you don’t trust him enough to care for you when you’re in need. chan knows that those thoughts and his reaction are a bit dramatic, but it’s the caretaker in him that just cannot live it down.

12:34pm
🌷part of the 24hrs with seventeen series ! request a specific time + activity/scenario to experience it with seventeen yourself !
requests are now closed for this event! thank you to everyone who requested.
S.Coups takes pride in always being on time, as he rushes to pack his things. His phone is clutched precariously between his fingers as he types out a message, asking you to wait for him by the company lobby.
S.Coups throws his things haphazardly in Joshua’s general direction, yelling out a quick goodbye without looking back. The members only smile fondly at the scene in front of them, knowing lunchtime was a special time for their leader.
S.Coups boards the elevator and pushes the lobby button with more force than necessary, fingers tapping against his thigh as he watches the floor numbers descend. He finds it amazing how the mere thought of you waiting for him can render him as impatient and nervous as his teenage self.
S.Coups sheds his leader identity and steps into Seungcheol the moment your arms wrap around his waist.
He practically melts into your hold, smoothing down your hair as he listens to you jabber about updates from the morning. It’s only been a few hours since he left your shared bed, pressing a light kiss on your forehead as he got up to get ready. The nearby staff members hide smiles as they work, already used to the lovesick seventeen leader and his bride-to-be. Seungcheol all but latches onto you as he walks you both out, nodding along as you tell him about the cafe you found online.
Seungcheol knows you prefer sitting on the outside instead of in the booth, so it’s second nature when he pulls the chair open for you to sit. Sliding into the booth, he watches fondly as you situate yourself until you’re comfortable, handing both your jacket and your bag over to him.
Seungcheol pesters you to order more. He’s pointing at everything appetizing on the menu (which is basically everything) urging you to order it so you guys can share. He firmly states that he doesn’t mind taking the leftovers back to work, knowing the boys would happily finish whatever you guys couldn’t.
Seungcheol has learned to pace himself as he eats, unconsciously matching your pace as the two of you converse, knowing how much you hate being the only one still eating. He pretends not to notice each time your fork makes its way into his plate, swiping bits of his food as discreetly as possible. He finds it endearing how you still sneak your stealing habits when he so openly shares his meals.
Seungcheol also pretends not to notice the staring fans outside the cafe window. Although he usually books your meals in advance and requests it be made private, he cannot control what goes on outside. He’s cool with it as long as you are, giving fans a polite smile as you exit the cafe. They’ve long since learned to give some distance, ever since Seungcheol lightly scolded fans online for hounding you.
Seungcheol, who whips out his card like you guys didn’t just order the whole store. He doesn’t bother looking at the receipt, flashing you a warm smile as he offers you your jacket, chiding you about how cold it was and how you weren’t wearing enough. Your purse finds its home on his arm as you both walk out, rejuvenated and ready to get back to work.
Seungcheol, who walks extra, extra slowly on the way back to the company. He’s mentally trying to savour each second, taking extra care in each of his footsteps as he listens to you speak. He pauses at every storefront, every pretty flower, every passing dog, trying to delay the inevitable end of your lunch date.
Seungcheol, who suffocates you in a hug by the company elevator, murmuring into your hair how fucking lucky he is to have you and how thankful he is that you came all this way to grab lunch with him.
Seungcheol, who gives you the deadliest puppy eyes that make you marvel at how this man is almost 30 years old. He somehow ushers you into the elevator with him, despite promising to say goodbye at the lobby. He whines something about wanting more time, asking the dreaded question: do you hate me? He shoots you a teasing smile as he opens the door to their practice room, gently pushing you in.
Seungcheol, who watches from the side as his found family welcomes the love of his life in. He’s got a sappy smile on his face as he watches you interact with them all, giggling with Seokmin and trading stories with Joshua. It’s in those moments does he finally allow himself to just feel. To let the happiness of the moment sink deep into his bones, knowing it would keep him going throughout his most difficult times.
Seungcheol, whose self control wanes, ending up leaving practice early to drive you both home. All it really takes is a knowing nudge from Jeonghan, who understands the love sickness and sheer want in his eyes, telling him silently that it’s okay to go home.
Seungcheol, who sheepishly tells you the next morning that you guys might have to put a pause on your lunch dates. Their manager enforced a ban for any visits during comeback hours - a rule that was so obviously created due to Seungcheol, leaving him sulky and at the mercy of his bandmates.

Hi!! Could you do a fic where Jeonghan is being the menace that he is, but his partner is the only one who can quell him with one look pls? Like he is just super soft w her and always listens cos he’s a simp?
content: simp!jeonghan, established relationship, afab reader, slightly suggestive, etc.
wc: 1156
a/n: this was based on that one scene from nana tour in which jeonghan basically waterboarded mingyu for absolutely no reason (ik he was on a mission but he drenched him ?!\>\£). hope u enjoy <3
masterlist
jeonghan was always known to be a bit of a menace by all his friends.
well, maybe even more than just his friends. after all, there was a reason why he was often called the loki of seventeen by many of his fans.
he was simply a bit unconventional in the ways in which he found entertainment, such as the time in which he berated dokyeom into searching for bugs for them to eat on the streets. he simply had a tendency for bugging his members (out of love, of course), becoming an extra obstacle in their lives just for the fun of it.
now, jeonghan also had a heart of gold and far too much love for his brothers to ever actually cause any harm to them. however, after over a decade of knowing his brothers, he had somehow conditioned them to accept his odd behaviors and simply go along with his shenanigans whenever he felt like acting up.
you, as well as his members, always found great entertainment in his weird behaviors. i mean, it takes a great man to be able to cheat his way through every single game without consequence.
despite finding humor in his ways, you would sometimes have a tendency to put a halt to it. a simple whine of 'hannie!' would have him stopping in his tracks and murmuring against your ear as he whined back but relented at you. what you didn't know, however, was that you were the only person who held this power over jeonghan (even his sister would occasionally fall victim to his menacing ways).
today was one of the many instances in which jeonghan grew bored while at practice, deiciding to wreck havoc just for the hell of it. it was easy for him to spot a victim, – it was usually mingyu – which then lead him to approach him with the illest of intentions. there was never much thinking that went into teasing his members. it was just second nature to him by now. so when he eyed the water bottle in mingyu's hand, even the other members who were standing nearby could see what jeonghan's next move would be.
he was patient with it; engaging in conversation as he usually would as to not draw suspicion. jeonghan realized in that moment that maybe his instincive need to bug mingyu for no reason might be something to look into, but that would come some other day. for now, he wanted a quick laugh.
jeonghan saw his opening the moment mingyu uncapped his bottle and brought it to his lips, taking advantage of his calculated proximity to tilt the end of the bottle in order to drench mingyu's face, causing the man to almost choke on the water he'd been drinking.
as expected, this began a mini war between the two boys, as five minutes later they were both attacking each other with any and every water bottle they could find in their vicinity, even going as far as causing collateral damage to a few of the other members. what jeonghan hadnt planned, however, was a sudden visit from you, who had walked in just as jeonghan squirted yet another water bottle directly at mingyu's face.
"jeonghan!", you scolded as soon as you were in earshot, "leave him alone, you got him all drenched!", you were now standing next to the group, frown on your face as you took in the scene.
"baby? what are you doing here? did you–"
"don't 'baby' me. why are you bugging mingyu again? look at him! he's completely wet."
"i got water in my eye!," whined the tall man, taking advantage of your defense for him.
by now, a few of the members nearby were snickering at the swift turn of events, entertained by not just the water fight but the way in which you immediately sided with mingyu rather than your boyfriend.
"i'm wet too! how do you know he didn't start it?", tried jeonghan, knowing full well that the idea was unconvincing.
"hannie, don't lie to me."
"okay, fine. i got bored, okay? it's just water, baby. it's fine. right, mingyu?"
"dude, you fucked up my hair," mingyu didnt seem truly offended, but more so wanting to feed the flames now that he had an opportunity. jeonghan could tell by the slight smirk on his face.
the frown remained on your face, continuing to come in mingyu's defense for some reason unknown to jeonghan.
"jeonghan, apologize to him."
"what?", his wide and incredulous eyes turned to look at you, ignoring the snort he was pretty sure seungkwan had just let out.
"you heard me."
"but–"
"hannie!"
"f– fine," like a petulant child, jeonghan turned to mingyu and gave him a forced smile, "i'm sorry for getting you wet, gyu."
"than–"
"thank you", you interrupted the man.
jeonghan couldnt help but feel scolded by you. it was rare that you actually ever went against his shenanigans, but he did know he could sometimes go a little extra hard on mingyu due to mingyu's disposition to put up with jeonghan with no complaint (usually even fighting back). he was a bit embarrassed by the way in which you sided with him and even berated him in front of his members, but he also knew he could never say no to you, so apologizing just seemed logical to him.
after a few moments of him whining at his members to mind their business and go get their own girlfriends, he dragged you away to a less polluted corner of the practice room to get some one-on-one with you.
"babyyyy," he immediately pouted at you, proceeding to attaching to you like a bear, burying his head into your neck.
"hannie, you're all wet!", you complained despite making no move to push him away, even wrapping your arm around him and running a hand through his damp hair.
"why'd you have to do that? the boys are supposed to think you're obsessed with me," he frowned against your neck.
despite the whine behind his words, you could feel the vibration of his giggles against you and the smile pressed against your neck. as per usual, he was just whining because he could; something which you always found an endearing result to any rare instance in which you'd scold him.
"they're all gonna think im a simp now," he continued.
you giggled at that, causing him to sway you back and forth as he buried himself even deeper against you.
"are you not?", you inquired.
"i am, but they dont need to know that!"
"you're so annoying ..."
"yeah, but you find it fun, don't you?"
"im not at liberty of releasing that information."
he laughed against your neck, reaffirming to himself how much he liked the back and forth between the two of you, even if it meant relenting to you every single time, earning himself the title of simp among his members.

JUYEON :: GAME CATERERS x SVT | 01
[editors captions] | speaking | english , but she only speaks it once and it's clarified there warning: food mentions, use of a razor is mentioned [if i forgot anything don't hesitate to lmk and i'll add it here] for context, during the filming of game caterers she was blonde. she dyed her hair again soon after.
ep 1-1
the first time you see jinny in the episode is when the camera turns to hoshi, mingyu & jinny squatting during s.coups's intro
then again you can see the three
jinny : do well, leader coups!
the camera cuts to jinny yelling during mingyus intro
finally its jinny's part!! they played hot
[ Finally, the 14th member ]
[ The second blonde in SEVENTEEN ]
[ The older ones are her fanboys ]
jinny starts dancing to the post chorus, up until the end of her part (end of chorus)
[ (Jinny) (Vocal Team) (Youngest) ]
[ (Designated cook of SEVENTEEN) ]
[ (Always a Social Butterfly) ]
everyone was shouting during her part as always.. and she was just dancing there and giggling
jinny's last part in the intro is during the super dance bit where they cut to her dancing
theres a small scene of her while they're standing
jinny : i'm already tired and it's only the first time.. how will we perform this...?
she starts laughing when seungkwan is trying to introduce the show
jinny : our seungkwannie works too hard, can you tell? while looking at the staff sitting down LMAO
when they're going to sit she walks in after dino & sits with him, next to joshua
[ (Golden Kids sit together) ]
when s.coups says he doesn't have any friends sitting around him, jinny leans back in her seat and looks towards him
jinny : you'll start rumors with that kind of talk..
during seungcheol's interview she looks at him at the "curious meerkats" part
jinny : [turns to chan] you know, i've been wondering why you've been so moody lately~ while he was explaining why he and seungkwan fought
when joshua picked up his water bottle she moved away so fast
jinny : i was scared he was actually gonna do it :(
[ (Has to keep her guard up) ]
after jun explained while he was so quiet during hybe picnic, the camera cut to jinny looking at him and then a couple of videos of her interacting with EVERYONE at the picnic :sob:
[ Unlike Jinny, who was ready to greet everyone~ ]
when jun said they weren't normal she laughed
jinny : wow, junnie.. i thought you loved us?
that was her last scene in 1-1
ep 1-2
jinny's first part in 1-2 was her agreeing woozi never leaves home
jinny : i always have to drag him out...he's like a vampire
[ Youngest in charge of getting her brothers to sunlight? ]
seungkwan : [seungkwans interview part // after hoshi, before the na pd coupon bit] after the show, jinny told me "you could do better at hosting, honestly"
[ M COUNTDOWN Host Jinny giving feedback ]
the camera cut to jinny laughing at what he said
jinny : i was teasing him~ in all seriousness, i was proud of seungkwan-oppa for being able to host in the show in front of all the groups even though he was nervous
jinny : ["dino, which razor did you use today?" // while they were laughing] he used gillette~ i watched him earlier
[ (16 year best friend can confirm for us) ]
finally it's jinny's turn!
na pd : jinny.. ah, there you are. nice to see you again.
[ Finally, the last member Jinny ]
[ Jinny was the extrovert of Game Caterers x HYBE! ]
na pd : when we looked at the comments of the videos with you before, CARATs were saying you were so friendly with every group there because you were already friends with them. is that true?
jinny : partly, yes! i've either worked with them all on choreo or songs or i knew them from being an MC. but, i am just naturally friendly.. i think i would've felt a little awkward if i just sat there like my members.
[ Youngest is the extrovert of the group ^^ ]
dino : i can back that up! jinny was the one who asked to be friends when we first met..
dokyeom : i remember when we began training as a group, jinny would go out of her way to talk to everyone
jinny : she got flustered :( i wanted to get to know the people i would be stuck in a group with.. you guys are much different now though..
[ (Jinny, is that good or bad?) ]
her bit was her last part in 1-2 !
ep 1-3
this time she sits between seungkwan & seungcheol [ 1:32 : she sits between kwan & hoshi | 14:49 : she sits between cheol & hoshi | 18:30 & 18:49 : she sits between to wonwoo & joshua | 20:35 : she's second in line, next to wonwoo ]
they changed seats so many times.. so if you wanna know where she sits when they move, refer to this LMAO
jinny : ["the game is over food"] food? i think i'll be good at this.. then she giggled
[ (SEVENTEEN's Food Know-It-All) ]
the camera went to her agreeing and laughing when seungcheol said they only listen to the minority in arguments
jinny : [when everyone began yelling over acorn jelly] you see, this is how we settle arguments...shouting
the camera cuts to her being zoned out until cheol gets his question wrong
jinny : [to cheol] yah, why are you sitting there? you're not good at games..
jinny : [ when mingyu moves // to seungkwan ] i think we were all just nervous, kwannie, cut him some slack
cue cheol hitting her leg right after that bc of what she said to him before LMAO
[ (Jinny was the only one to get a question right last year) ]
[ Perks of being an MC? ]
jinny : ["i don't think i'll get it" - wonwoo] i'm sure you'll do fine, oppa. i think it's a lot more nerve-wracking when it's almost your turn. she pats his shoulder while speaking
wonwoo gets his question right :proud: it's jinny's turn now !!!
[ (Next is Jinny, master at the character quiz) ]
the camera zooms in on her concentrating; her person was taeyeon & ofc she got it right !!!! that's mother
jinny : [she puts her head in her lap then brings it back up] wow, i was so scared it would be someone i didn't know..
mingyu : but who don't you know?? [some members start to laugh]
seungkwan : right right, that's what i was going to say!
[ Her members disagree with her for once ]
[ (Let's keep this in mind next time SEVENTEEN visits) ]
jinny : [when joshua got his 'cramp'] she looks at the camera while smiling and then turns to joshua playing along and saying are you okay?
that's it for 1-3 !!
ep 1-4
jinny's first scene was when they reached shua hoshi n cheol on the quiz
[ Urgh/Performance Team leader/Knows everyone/Leader]
her next part is after dino gets mimi
her person was irene (rv) please she was so relieved
jinny got down to the floor and bowed bc they gave her such an easy question :sob:
[ (Thankful for getting someone who she admires) ]
[ (Jinny is the REVELUV president!) ]
jinny : [to hoshi] it's okay~ it can't be that bad...horanghae!
[ (Encouragement) ]
and then the camera turns to staff going "aww".. she gained some fans that day
she moved to the middle between wonwoo and hansol
jinny : you got it wrong? amazing [eng.]
and some of the members started mimicking her "amazing"
[ The two peaks: Jinny and Vernon ]
[ (It's Jinny's turn) ]
her character was wonyoung !!! got it right obvi
[ (Jang Wonyoung, who she's made songs for) ]
[ Even helped with her debut ] + they played a snippet of eleven
jinny : i don't have any faith in us winning the kimchi, but at least i got all my questions right!
they all starting shouting when she said that and she just laughed LMAO
[ (The one who's usually loud watching chaos surround her) ]
skip to when they were eating gyu's cake; she was standing next to joshua (around 23:40)
the camera was zoomed in and you could see shua holding jinny's chin and feeding her a piece
[ (Taking good care of their sister) ]
and that's all! part one was so chaotic but yk i had to end it on a cute note
from xia ! : ermm i got too lazy to change the bold
