I wouldn't recommend this book to my friends. I wouldn't reread this book.

The concept of burnout syndrome sucks, I say. I do like the integration of mental illness in this book. I want to talk to and be friends with Sachi. Yukari's helpfulness to people is so cool. It's so Humans of New York here but much more because you see how much pain everyday people are going through alone and you also see how much love there can be. Just noticing this from one cafe setting. I also would love a love like these. Saki a homie during Reiko's whole situation.

Omg, at this love story of Setsuko forgoing her acceptance.

So, if we visit Funiculi Funicula and Donna Donna, can we time travel twice or is it still once? From the two cafes we know, this is the one that sounds more my vibe.

I'm just envisioning this gentleman just reading in the dark after closing hours. There are too many characters with similar names in this book.

Lol at you're just listing jobs that start with F.

I teared at the end.

                              BOKETTO HERO AGENCY

Boketto Hero Agency is owned by Shoto & located in Tokyo. It was founded when he turned 20 & named after his feelings as a teenager regarding his life, as the purpose of the agency is to cooperate with police in protecting & rescuing children from volatile home situations where quirk use may be needed to ge them out.

( boketto - the act of gazing vacantly into the distance without a thought. )

By the time he is 25, Shoto has a mix of ten heroes & sidekicks working with him, as the agency operates more as a hero team or partnership than as a hero & sidekick type deal. Aside from them, there is an administrator and a receptionist working at the agency.

Kawaguchi Ryuu / Pro Hero: Armour (Scale Quirk - Ryuu can cover himself in thick, difficult to penetrate scales for a short period of time.)

Kimura Misaki / Sidekick: Charm (Charm Quirk - Misaki can emit a gas from her hands which makes people attracted to her presence & ignore others around them for up to five minutes. it works differently depending on how much someone has breathed in and how focused they were on their previous task)

Nakahara Chinatsu / Pro Hero: Heatwave (Fire Quirk - Chinatsu can create fire from any part of her body after absorbing heat from another source.)

Today I finished my #cozybook of the month: Before Your Memory Fades by Toshikazu Kawaguchi. I love the series so much, I thought it was the perfect #cozyread to finish this year with. I hesitated a lot over giving this book four stars because I really did love it. But I know I loved it more because it was a part of the “Before the coffee gets cold” series. I realized that what was bothering me is the fact that this book was too focused on dealing with death and what I liked about the previous ones is that the motivations in the other books are more diverse. I do have to say that the writing and the story is as beautiful as the other books and the characters are as lovable as they were, but maybe it would not be as good if it was a stand-alone (At least for me). That said, I cried like a baby, and I am going to be revisiting this series many times in the future. Now for the Spoilers. I was a little angry about Nanako’s the fact that Nanako’s departure to America also meant her death. Not only because I got to be really fond of her character but also because I was expecting her story to go in a different direction. I thought Kawaguchi was going to focus more on the difference between Reji’s and Nanako’s relationship compared to Todoroki and Setsuko’s and it would make more of a point to validate both. But again, I was just expecting something different and Kawaguchi just decided to rip my heart out of my chest right there on that last page.
