Hey babe!
Do we know what Austin’s next job is and when? Like is anything set in stone? So sad Caught Stealing is done bc we got so much content of him 😭😭 but super excited for what’s next. I hope the next project has scenes that are in the public so we can’t get a peak.
not gonna say it but also so over the talks of the other thing 🙄 just hopes he goes home enjoys some down time and goes back to filming so we have have other things to talk abt. I really hope he gets time with his family, I wonder if he’ll travel to see his sister or vice versa.
Hey girlie! 😁
Good question! The only confirmed projects that I know for sure are:
American Speed
Barrier
City on Fire (??)
Everything else, like "Heat 2", all seem like just rumors. (If any anons have anything else to add to this list, but all means, please let me know if I'm forgetting something.)
I actually think Austin may have a little bit of a break from filming for a little while, unless something else comes out announced unexpectedly that he ends up filming soon.
Right now, American Speed is nowhere near ready for filming. Plus, Tom Holland has the new Nolan project that he's filming next year, plus Spiderman 4, so I don't expect he'll be free anytime soon to film AS with Austin.
Keep in mind, though, that Austin still has "Eddington" coming out. While there hasn't been a firm release date announced yet, rumors are that it might come out around March of 2025. 😊 He will have press and promo for that film, I assume.
Wrt other stuff, and the holidays lol --
Yea girl, I really want to focus a little more on Austin and less on the other stuff as well. 👀 Don't get me wrong, sometimes, we as fans really need to vent (totally understand), and we need to feel comfortable doing so. But at the same time, I don't want Austin's fandom to just become all about his relationship either. 😩
I've seen a lot of fandoms get ruined by shippers and fans who focus so much on the relationship of an actor. I just hope that Austin's fandom can ride this current wave of his relationship in relative peace, and continue to focus on him, as opposed to his relationship.
I would love to see Austin visit his sister, or just his family period this holiday season. But based on what we've seen for the past couple of years, I'm not holding my breath for that lol. 😅
I'll expect the worst, and who knows, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised lol.

Warning: The following contains spoilers about Young Sheldon Season 7, Episode 12.
CBS‘ Big Bang Theory prequel just reached a tragic moment in Young Sheldon’s coming of age.
In the offshoot’s third-to-last episode, his father, George Sr. (played since Season 1 by Lance Barber), died of a heart attack at work. He was expected home for a family photo that afternoon; instead, Mary (Zoe Perry) opened her front door to find a visibly upset Tom (Rex Linn) and Wayne (Doc Farrow), who were there to relay the news that her husband of nearly 20 years — and father to her three children, Sheldon, Missy and Georgie — had passed away.
Mary, Missy and Meemaw burst into tears, while a stonefaced Sheldon took a seat behind them.
Tumblr media
Young Sheldon producers never intended to shy away from this trauma, which was set in stone on Big Bang. “We always knew that we never wanted to see it on camera, but to deal with the death was always important to us coming to the end of the show,” co-showrunner Steve Holland tells TVLine. “It was a question of when we do it. There was some talk that maybe it would have been the finale. He would have died, we would have the funeral, and that would have been the last episode.”
Ultimately, it was series co-creator Chuck Lorre who decided that George’s death should come sooner. His argument went as follows: “The show has been such a positive family show. Let’s not leave the audience wallowing in grief. Let’s give them a little bit of road out of that.”
Tumblr media
“At least some part of our audience expects it, or knows that it is going to happen,” Holland concedes. “Maybe they don’t know that it’s going to be [featured] on the show, but they know that it’s coming. We thought, ‘Is there a way to do it and still catch people off guard?’ So the thought of doing it not even in the penultimate, but in the antepenultimate episode, might be a way we can still catch them off guard.
“George’s death was a huge part of Sheldon’s growth as a person. To deal with that death was important to Sheldon as a character, especially as he’s about to go off to Caltech,” the EP maintains. “To deal with that death was [also] important [for] the rest of the family.”
youtube
In addition to Holland, TVLine spoke with Barber and Perry over Zoom about Episode 12, which you’ll find embedded above. A full transcript of our conversation, edited for clarity, is also provided below.
Tumblr media
TVLINE | The family receives the news, unfortunately, that George has suffered this fatal heart attack. It’s a moment the audience has been dreading, it’s a moment I’m sure that you guys have been dreading having to film…. Lance, how long have you known this was coming? LANCE BARBER | The fact is, I knew because of the history of The Big Bang [Theory]. I was emotionally prepared for this from the pilot, you know? At least the potential of it. I was just thankful for every day, and every season, and every episode, I got to be on, knowing that potentially they could explore that before the show ended. So, mostly, I was grateful to get to the end. It was only in this last season where we discovered — and very close to shooting it — did we know details about how it was going to play out. There was a lot of speculation, always — certainly from fans, and certainly from us — wondering how it was going to play out. I think that the writers are really leaning into something with this that I think is a gamble. But from my perspective, it’s a really beautiful way to do it, regardless of how challenging and potentially polarizing it might be. ZOE PERRY | It was difficult to grieve the loss of this character and the ending of this run, and these things were happening simultaneously. I think audiences will see a very kind of real reaction.
Tumblr media
Photo : Bill Inoshita/Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc.
TVLINE | Zoe, let’s talk about the moment when Mary opens the door and Tom and Coach Wilkins are there. What was going through your head in that moment? PERRY | I mean, this was intense. I do vividly remember filming it. We had shot the beginning of that scene, leading up to the door. We wrapped that, then we were like, “OK, now we’re going to approach this moment.” Because I’m standing a bit in the foreground, I’m not totally privy to what’s happening behind me with Annie [Potts, who plays Meemaw] and Reagan [Revord, who plays Missy], although I can feel it. I don’t know that I was planning it, but I was angry. I was angry at the news, or even the threat of the news. BARBER | And angry is reasonable. PERRY | It’s like, “Don’t… don’t take this from me.”
youtube
TVLINE | Lance, were you there, just off camera, while those scenes were being shot? BARBER | No. I’d been around quite a bit, and I had finished before they were shooting that. PERRY | You were there that day. BARBER | I was there earlier that day, but I deliberately was not there. I thought my absence would be helpful for the actors, and appropriate for that moment. And I wanted to wait and see it on the screen with everybody else. I also haven’t watched the final episode because I’d like to see it for the first time on screen.
Tumblr media
Photo : Robert Voets/Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc.
TVLINE | Let’s talk a bit about George’s final days. Things were starting to go his way. The relationship with Mary was on a good track, he gets this offer to coach college ball, they’re about to move, everyone’s really excited… PERRY | Minus Sheldon! BARBER | Minus Sheldon!
TVLINE | Yes, that is true, although he’s never really excited about anything, so that we expected. But there was all this potential for George. I think back to Season 1, when he bet Georgie that he would be married before he turns 25. You couldn’t have known then that your character would still be around to see Georgie and Mandy get married. Knowing how well things were going for George, did it make it all the more difficult to say goodbye to him now? BARBER | That’s an interesting question. It was difficult in the story, for sure. I feel bad for George and Mary and the whole family, which I think everyone will. The stakes were so high, right? I think that’s also good TV. I imagine that was pretty deliberate on the writers’ part to build it to that point to emulate what people go through in life, and the beautiful tragedy of [life]. It is a kick in the gut, and there’s an extra added weight to that kick in the gut. Things were just starting to feel… they felt like they were just starting to work out, after so many ups and downs in this family. PERRY | Yeah, I remember reading the script. I knew that we were getting the news in the script, but I hadn’t yet read it to see how that happens. As I started to read it, to see all of the plans being made — the excitement, Missy’s excitement — I was tearing up just reading that. The loss was so incredible. It was a loss of a future. BARBER | Yeah. Best laid plans, you know…. PERRY | I was surprised by my own reaction to Georgie’s marriage. I think maybe there was a suggestion [in the script] that I might be emotional, but I was truly emotional. I would tear up when Lance would go over to Georgie to congratulate him, and I would tear up at the thought of, you know, it’s wild… You get attached to these characters, and I would just think, “Oh, I’m so relieved that Georgie got to share this with his dad,” and it would make me emotional. BARBER | [Wells up] I’m in the chest right now. PERRY | That George got to see his son get married before he died was a big deal.
TVLINE | Watching Episode 9 — when George is the one to take Sheldon to visit M.I.T. before they have that about-face and decide on Caltech — got me thinking about the scene in Season 3 where you got to take Sheldon to Caltech. We, as the audience, got to see that, even though George would not be there to see Sheldon off to Caltech in the future, he was at some point in that cafeteria with him, where his son is going to go on to make so many memories. Knowing the outcome for George, and where we are at this point in the show, does it make a moment like that all the more special? BARBER | You know, I remember shooting that episode and entering that cafeteria, and that was several seasons ago. It was not lost on any of us that day, certainly wasn’t [lost on me]. Knowing the eventual outcome of George, and knowing that he got to share that with Sheldon, was so significant, and we felt that, that day, and we certainly were reminded of that with [Episode 9]. George looks at Sheldon on their way out the door. Even though it lands on a joke, he looks over and says, “I’m proud of you, son.” [Wells up] Here I go again! But that stuff certainly lands on you after all this time together, and your love for this family.

The Amazing Spider Man (2012) 8/10
Tumblr media
After being bitten by a radioactive spider, Peter Parker sets out to find out the truth behind his parents' disappearance, and his uncle's demise. While searching, he ends up facing off against Dr. Curt Conners, Oscorp, and The Lizard, all hellbent on destroying the city.
Andrew Garfield does a good job of portraying Peter in this movie, because Peter is awkward, for one thing, which is something that's totally relatable to a lot of teens. He's also very smart and very tech-savvy, but also doesn't really fit in at school. Martin Sheen plays Uncle Ben, and he's a sweet guy, only wanting the best for Peter, but also very tough and determined when it's needed. Sally Field plays Aunt May, who is slightly overbearing, but very loving and caring with Peter.
The action scenes are cool to watch, and this is quite a good portrayal of how Peter becomes Spider Man. He's literally making his own web slinger and web by hand, and doing dozens of tests on them until he's confident in them, as opposed to Tom Holland's Spider Man, who was given a suit, with the webs built in already. Call me crazy but Tom Holland's Spider Man kinda had it easier with his suit-yes, he still had to figure out how to operate it, but he has one less thing to worry about, and that's the actual webs.
This one has the character Gwen Stacy, played by Emma Stone, compared to Mary Jane in Spider Man. Emma does a great job here, being that Gwen Stacy is quiet, but also isn't afraid to speak her mind and stand up for others. She's smart and witty, and understands Peter.
There's also a cameo featuring Stan Lee, which is hilarious. I won't say what happens, but his character is obviously oblivious to the dangers going on.
I don't understand why people hate Andrew Garfield's Spider Man so much, I honestly loved it. And the 'fans' didn't even start appreciating him until No Way Home came out. I'll never understand it, but I love his portrayal, regardless.

'...Limited series categories saw Creative Arts wins for both Baby Reindeer and Ripley, the latter taking home the awards for Outstanding Cinematography, Outstanding Visual Effects for a Single Episode, and Outstanding Sound Editing...
'...Outstanding Lead Actor is going to be an exciting race because it seems to be one of the only categories not set in stone. Richard Gadd has gained plenty of attention on Baby Reindeer, plus his co-star’s win helps his case, but facing off against Matt Bomer in Fellow Travelers is tough. With Bomer’s co-star, Jonathan Bailey, in consideration to win in Supporting Actor, Bomer’s chances seem a little higher. On top of those two, Andrew Scott’s performance in Ripley puts him front-and-center, especially with the series garnering three Emmys already...
Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series
Predicted winner: Baby Reindeer (Netflix)
Could win: True Detective: Night Country (HBO/Max)Other contenders: Fargo (FX), Lessons in Chemistry (AppleTV+), Ripley (Netflix)
Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie
Predicted winner: Matt Bomer, Fellow Travelers (Showtime)
Could win: Richard Gadd, Baby Reindeer (Netflix)
Other contenders: Jon Hamm, Fargo (FX); Tom Hollander, Feud: Capote vs. the Swans (FX); Andrew Scott, Ripley (Netflix)...
Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie
Predicted winner: Jessica Gunning, Baby Reindeer (Netflix)
Could win: Kali Reis, True Detective: Night Country (HBO/Max)
Other contenders: Dakota Fanning Ripley (Netflix); Lily Gladstone, Under the Bridge (Hulu); Aja Naomi King, Lessons in Chemistry (AppleTV+); Diane Lane, Feud: Capote vs. The Swans (FX); Nava Mau, Baby Reindeer (Netflix)...
Outstanding Directing for a Limited Series
Predicted winner: Weronika Tofilska, Baby Reindeer – “Episode 1” (Netflix)
Could win: Gus Van Sant, Feud: Capote v the Swans – “Pilot” (FX)
Other contenders: Noah Hawley, Fargo – “The Tragedy of the Commons” (FX); Millicent Shelton, Lessons in Chemistry – “Poirot” (AppleTV+); Steve Zaillian, Ripley (Netflix); Issa Lopez, True Detective: Night Country (HBO/MAX)...
Outstanding Writing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie

CONNECTION DESCRIPTION:
TW: child neglect, substance abuse, OD. dysfunction.
The Navarros' are the Gallaghers from Shameless. The kids basically raised themselves.
They all were born and grew up in South Hills.
These kids learned survivors instincts from the get, and they raised hell for just as long. The oldest daughter was the head of the family, she is the one who took over most of the care. Ryat is the second oldest, and he also took a big part in raising these kids.
A lot of the background of the siblings is UTP. What they're doing. Rather or not they made it out of South Hills, or if theyve been to prison. If their lives are together, or if they still figuring shit out.
THE TWO THINGS THAT ARE SET IN STONE, HOWEVER: The second oldest daughter, Abigail, did get pregnant with she was a teenager. She currently had a teenage son who's around 14, and named Noah at this moment. How she does as a parent, etc etc is UTP. The other thing is that there are 7 NAVARRO SIBLINGS. There is also a 17 year old named Maddison, who at the very least, still lives at the Navarro family home.
BIRTH ORDER FOR THE NAVARROS SIBLINGS GOES AS SUCH:
Michaela (38-40)
Ryat (36)
Alexander (31-34)
Abigail (31-34)
Atlas (29-30)
Levi (26-28)
Maddison (17)
------
Their parents are Richard and Kelly Navarro. Kelly would spend some time in prison and when she came out, she'd link back up with her no good husband, and the birth of the last Navarro child came nine months later.
Kelly would overdose when Maddi was 1, while Ryat held her.
Their father, Richard, nicknamed Dick, by most of the kids, is still in the picture. He like a cockroach that won't die, and he is often found bumming around the Navarro house.
This family is BIG dysfunctional. They didn't grow up with good parents, and usually had to fight their way through life. But the one thing they are is close. Ryat loves all his siblings, and growing up, they really only even had each other. This, of course, doesn't mean they don't go rounds with each other...

THE BIG PICTURE
▪️Richard Parker takes on a central role in The Amazing Spider-Man films, embedding himself deep in the hero's origin story.
▪️ Richard's presence extends beyond philosophy and genetics, as his research directly leads to Peter becoming Spider-Man.
▪️ A scene showing Richard delivering the famous "With great power comes great responsibility" line to Peter was cut in The Amazing-Spider-Man 2.
Nearly everyone on the planet knows the story of Spider-Man: After being bitten by a radioactive spider, Peter Parker gains arachnid-like abilities and eventually puts them to use defending the innocent when a burglar kills his Uncle Ben. A splash of tragedy was added to the mix when that same burglar was a man that Peter could have easily stopped — hammered home by the fateful words, "With great power comes great responsibility." Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy would drill that motto into the heads of a generation, but Marc Webb's Amazing Spider-Man films — specifically The Amazing Spider-Man 2 — gave that phrase to another character from Peter Parker's past.
That character is none other than Peter's father, Richard (Campbell Scott). In a deleted scene, Richard approaches Peter as he's mourning Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone). The two then have a heart-to-heart, with Richard laying the line about great power and great responsibility on Peter. Not only is this a fundamental shift in how the Spider-Man mythos usually unfurls, but it would have impacted the third Amazing Spider-Man film in ways that no one could have foreseen.
The ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ Films Made Richard Parker Peter’s Central Father Figure
From the jump, Richard played a larger part in the Amazing Spider-Man films. His research into cross-species genetics drives the plot of both films: The Amazing Spider-Man had Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans) attempting to replicate Richard's research but transforming himself into the Lizard. Norman Osborn (Chris Cooper) sought the cross-species research to stave off a death-defying disease that claimed his life and was inherited by his son Harry (Dane DeHaan); Harry eventually became the Green Goblin and had a hand in Gwen's death. Rather than see his life's work being used for nefarious purposes, Richard and his wife Mary attempted to flee, but were presumed dead after a plane crash. By choosing to potentially take his secrets to the grave, Richard embodied the mantra of using great power responsibly — a lesson that Peter's Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) attempted to pass onto him prior to his death.
But Richard's influence on Peter also extended beyond philosophy. In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter learns that Richard encoded Oscorp's genetically enhanced spiders to only react to Peter's DNA. This means that Peter's father is responsible for him becoming Spider-Man. It would have gone one step further, as The Amazing Spider-Man 3 would have seen Peter using Richard's research to try and resurrect his loved ones. Denis Leary, who played Gwen's father, George Stacy, in both Amazing Spider-Man films, revealed this plot point during an interview with IGN:
I came back briefly in two and possibly in [The Amazing Spider-Man] 3, there was this idea at one point that Spider-Man would be able to take this formula and regenerate the people in his life that had died. So, there was this discussion that Captain Stacy would come back even bigger in episode 3. So, I was like, let’s go!
Ultimately, Sony opted to partner with Marvel Studios to produce a new set of Spider-Man films starring Tom Holland while also focusing on Spider-Man's allies and villains, meaning that this plot point never came to pass.
Richard Parker Has Also Returned in Spider-Man Comics
Richard's return from the grave actually holds roots in various Spider-Man comics. Shortly after Peter faced off against Albert Malik, who donned the mantle of the Red Skull and framed his parents for acts of terrorism, Richard and Mary reunited with their shocked son and claimed that they had been held hostage. But this was a ploy by Harry Osborn and the Chameleon to break Spider-Man; the duo had crafted a pair of lifelike robots and implanted them with false memories. Eventually, the Richard robot engaged Spider-Man in a fierce battle that left the web-slinger shaken. Ultimate Spider-Man by Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley also put its own unique spin on the infamous "Clone Saga" story and brought back Richard, eventually revealing that he was an aged clone of Peter Parker given false memories by Doctor Octopus.
Elements within the comics influenced both Amazing Spider-Man films; in Ultimate Spider-Man, Richard was a scientist working on a project that would change the world and ended up on the wrong side of Bolivar Trask — the creator of the mutant-hunting Sentinels. While the plane crash and return to Peter's life are lifted from the mainstream Marvel universe, it's clear that Webb intended for Richard to play a larger part in Peter's life than intended. The deleted scene would have not only upended everything Spider-Man fans thought, but it would have also provided a new dynamic as Peter — having suffered so much loss — got the chance to reconnect with his father. It's a change that could have made for an intriguing third film, but a risky move that also could have changed the entire Spider-Man mythos as we know it.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is available to stream on Netflix in the U.S.
