The enemy: A Closer Look
I always tell people you gotta know your enemy. You should know your enemy because if you don't know your enemy then you don't know yourself.
youtube
"If you were a general in the army and you were going to war against another nation, you would study the life of the opposing general. If we are going to live a victorious life, then one of the wisest things we can do is to understand the mind of our opposing general: Satan."
2 Corinthians 4:3-4 NLT
[3] If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. [4] Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
Ephesians 2:2 NLT
[2] You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.
Ephesians 4:27 NIV
[27] and do not give the devil a foothold.
Proverbs 1:10 NLT
[10] My child, if sinners entice you, turn your back on them!

As Granny and Oats lurched from mud slough to bog, Oats reflected on the story in the Book of Om--the story, really--about the prophet Brutha and his journey with Om across the burning desert, which had ended up changing Omnianism forever. It had replaced swords with sermons, which at least caused fewer deaths except in the case of the really very long ones, and had broken the Church into a thousand pieces which had then started arguing with one another and finally turned out Oats, who argued with himself.
Terry Pratchett, Carpe Jugulum

code switching is fun, sometimes you slip into the tone of voice you use at work and your friends give you shit for it. other times you talk to someone like you talk to your pet and they start stuttering about it
the more and more you do it, the more you realize how fun it is to treat them that way and suddenly you've turned an otherwise upstanding person into your dog
hell if you push it even further, you get to watch them get more worked up the lower you bring your voice, those one word commands delivered meticulously and yet so sweetly.
crazy how that happens huh?

LJS 477 is a collection of sermons, probably compiled from multiple sources, belonging to a preacher, probably Dominican. It also includes excerpts from De animalibus, attributed to Aristotle, and Isidore's Etymologies. It was written in England, perhaps at the Dominican Convent in Oxford, ca. 1250.

i also think its funny that fo4, you are looking for your son. the only time the game seems to give you hope that youll find him is with kellog and then your told hes in the institute.
while in 3, even if you dont assume your dad is in megaton, you have to track him to 3dog, then rivet city, then jefferson memorial, before finding him at vault 112.
fnv does a similar thing, tracking benny through multiple towns and settlements, while not requiring you to do it, it benefits yoy if you do (ie: being able to convince swank about him)

“I will go anywhere with you, Mrs. Cadwallader,” Celia had said; “but I don’t like funerals.” “Oh, my dear, when you have a clergyman in your family you must accommodate your tastes: I did that very early. When I married Humphrey I made up my mind to like sermons, and I set out by liking the end very much. That soon spread to the middle and the beginning, because I couldn’t have the end without them.”
George Eliot, "Middlemarch"

Do you know any good preachers of a more progressive/accepting persuasion who post their sermons/homilies online? The folks I used to listen to I very strongly disagree with on many things now *shrugs*
Sorry for the delay in answering!
I have an old masterpost of progressive church services & sermons, I imagine some of the links are broken now but that's a starting place!
I imagine others have great recs for you — followers?

I would gladly kneel at your feet
To know the way reverence feels
To taste scripture on my tongue
As you deliver a most fervent sermon
Feel my words around you
Perhaps today they could be enough
To find your favor in full
