the webcomic can have one (1) funny "earnest moment interrupted by comedy" joke. as a treat. but also because it is so in character for them ajkshdjkas
yes they will say the most earnest shit to each other and then immediately try to cringe out of their own bodies. they are best friends but they would rather jump out of a window before admitting it. they are incredibly devoted and grateful to one another but you could not water board that out of either of them.
the only thing that can get either of them to admit how much they care for each other is if the other is in life threatening danger and not a second before aakjshdks

Be honest, what are your thoughts on appledash? Do you hate it or its more of not a big deal
Not a big deal to me. I like it, I see all the appeals, I just personally like Rarijack more.
#ask me#anon#if you wanna know why i like rarijack more i just think they're a healthier depiction of a domestic and longterm relationship#appledash gives me the vibes of gfs that'll eventually break up#because from s1 to s8 their relationship and communication with each other on serious things never really matures or grows#they were competitive and petty in s1 and they were competitive and petty in s8#arguably worse cuz in that s8 episode their dynamic becomes so toxic they almost cause a student under their care to drown#both of them have a superiority complex that's constantly conflicting with each other and it never really gets resolved#but with rarijack there's a very clear arc of development you can follow in their character#and multiple episodes show how they'll argue and eventually come back together and apologize and communicate and work to better things#you can watch them grow to like and understand each other. in s1 aj scoffs and makes fun of rarity's work in fashion#but in a later season (after some conflict) aj says that she doesn't understand fashion but she knows it means a lot to rarity so it means#a lot to her too. and that's what love is to me. “it didn't mean anything to me until it meant something to you”#it's genuinely really sweet and i'd argue rarijack /feels/ the most romantic out of all the main 6 ships. through arguing they grow closer#which is how it's supposed to be in relationships that last! you argue to work out your interpersonal problems and understand each other#(which is why it's genuinely kinda baffling to me that appledash ended up being canonically married because they never gave me those vibes)#but it really doesn't matter. they're cartoon horses! have fun with them

Concept art: There is a game where one person would draw something on the other's back, and they'd have to try to copy it based on the sensation. Junar (angsty Neanderthal teenager. Yeah, name drop on tumblr now!) would totally play it with his sister, Jaya... Drawing on dirt will also mean she can feel the grooves of the result and compare.
I'm supposed to be doing actual plot development but here I am... brainstorming games and past-time activities for my visually impaired character. Will I even have scenes with the characters just playing? (probably. likely...)

I'd better be careful or else I might convince you of my less loudly-held beliefs
#I liked oblivion well enough but it's got a lot of Very Serious problems that were never solved and instead festered forward into genre norm#although technically if you want to get more specific here#the problems that I complain most often about now actually started under the surface of morrowind's development#and intensified with the reception to tribunal#and then caught on fire with the lessons learned from bloodmoon (which is proto-oblivion in a lot of ways)#as with so many things the damage was more in the wrong lessons being learned from games with scrappy development cycles#and how those became incredibly toxic when applied as the standard for development rather than a freak accident of planning#consider how oblivion passively fucking up your character was a solution to people trying to play off-build in morrowind#and how skyrim being incredibly easy was a solution to oblivion's level-rotting#and how both of these solutions are solving a symptom by removing friction without replacing it#which is further incentivised because the game now has fewer features that would turn off someone who would otherwise not play an rpg

"the characters are cardboard and don't develop" it's a sitcom "the plot goes off the rails and they never acknowledge it" it's a sitcom "the jokes are mean and the characters aren't good people" it's a sitcom "there are never real consequences for what the characters do" it's a sitcom "some shit happens just for jokes" IT'S A SITCOM
I can understand you asking continuity of Breaking Bad or Sopranos but WHY are you asking continuity and character development from Two and a Half Men or The Simpsons

The more comics I read the more I’m confused about people absolutely lothingggg Guy Gardner… like he’s a little bit of an asshole, but what seems to annoy people the most is how impulsive and annoying he is… Do they not see that he acts “too quickly” and with “too much anger” because in his eyes they are taking too long to figure out a plan of attack and people could die? Also, damn, some of the shit he does is just COMMON for green lanterns, but the moment he does it, it’s “wrong”.
“He doesn’t think about-” HE HAS SEVERE BRAIN DAMAGE!!! PARTS OF HIS BRAIN WILL NEVER GROW BACK POST COMA AND POST ANY OTHER HEAD TRAUMA!!! He is gonna be bad at considering consequences…
Also, if we are gonna hate on him for misogyny that he USED to have, where is the hate for Ted Kord? That’s right, it’s non existent.
Not to mention a lot of the hate I see is straight up MADE UP SHIT… like bruh…
I get he can be annoying, but sometimes… girl, calm down…
