❛ ✶ ( LUKE HEMMINGS , CISMALE , HE/HIM ) — did you see ANGUS DONNELLEY walking around campus earlier ? i hear a lot of people talking about the TWENTY TWO year old JUNIOR . from what i know , they are studying NEUROSCIENCE and are a part of DELTA PSI BETA . they come across as + EMPATHETIC but also - PERNICIOUS , which makes sense because on their instagram ( @gusdonny ) it says they are a TAURUS . when i see them , i think of dropping your coffee on the pavement , tattered crewnecks & denim , sitting in some hole in the wall restaurant at 2am , omw texts while still laying in bed , & chipped bitten nails . the most interesting thing i’ve heard about them though , is the fact that [ REDACTED ] , but don’t tell anyone i told you that .
wow y’all really went hard in your intros i am not worThy !!! hi everyone !! i’m cj and i’m from the true north , strong and free .. aka canada bby . i’m out in mountain time , which is why i am SO LATE , i was at work today :~( i’m super excited to write with you guys though !! i brought one of my favourite boys .. this is my big dummy angus , but pls if u love the boy at all call him gus .
tw : drug mention below
╰ ˚・゚ & some 𝒃𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒄𝒔
full name: angus elijah donnelley nicknames: gus age: twenty two date of birth: april 27th hometown: malibu , california preferred pronouns: he/him orientation: pansexual occupation: n/a , currently studying at beaumont language(s) spoken: english , swedish ( very rusty ) pets: bulldog-terrier mix named cleo ( aka … luke hemmings irl puppy , i couldn’t help myself ok ) , but ... it’s a family dog , so ... she’s back at home and he misses her EVERY DAY .
PINTEREST BOARD !!
born and raised in malibu , angus grew up with strict , ambitious parents . his father a neurosurgeon , and mother an architect . it was very early on that they instilled their high expectations for the boy , teaching him the importance of discipline and responsibility . their intentions were good of course , as every parent wants to raise their child right , though angus wasn’t truly equipped . in actuality the couple came off as overbearing and their high expectations deemed unreachable in the male’s eyes . as he grew older , the feeling grew stronger that he would never quite live up to their standards – 97% on his mathematics test ?? well , why wasn’t it 100% ??
family time was scarce in the donnelley household . with both parents working full time and lots of time spent working extra hours , angus became independent quickly . his mother was flying to dubai for work quite frequently , gone weeks at a time . some weeks if felt like his father LIVED in the hospital . but he was saving lives , and how could angus be so SELFISH to want him at home . it meant he grew extremely close to his two younger sisters , often opting to spending the weekends entertaining them rather then out at parties . the family had a nanny to help , so he didn’t HAVE to , but his sisters always came first to him and being the eldest he has a serious case of protective older brother syndrome .
after graduating high school , he somehow managed to convince his parents to allow him to head abroad for the year . with promises of coming back home and hunkering down into his pre med degree . the couple really wanted angus to head straight into uni , but with tons of begging , they sent him off , bank account full . the year was spent travelling and honestly , just having FUN – a few months over in paris , london , italy , greece … some places he’d been before with his family , but not in the way he got to experience them now . angus continued his travels to japan , korea , new zealand , australia … never staying in one place for too long . but the fun had to come to an end .
as promised , angus attended beaumont upon returning back to the states studying neurosciences , getting his pre med classes under his belt . he is a legacy kid -- his father having been apart of delta psi beta when he attended the university . becoming a doctor has never quite been his dream , so much as it was his parents . while the male continues his undergraduate degree , he wonders if he should change his path , though that’s not a conversation he can have with his parents . angus has always wanted to leave an impact on others , in what way , well he’s never been sure .
╰ ˚・゚ & 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚
a big dumb softy !!
what if i left it at that …. !! no but , honestly … he’s definitely chaotic neutral . he’s a big empath , and will usually feel for you to his core .
i have some tiktoks to link , because our beautiful admins inspired me !!! and if you do anything ... please watch these : ONE , TWO , THREE , FOUR , FIVE ( tag urself , angus is the idiot that makes the entire thing go down )
it could be sometimes annoying , because angus can’t really ‘ pick sides ’ , this boy can see the validity in all sides ( in most cases ) . he’s definitely loyal to you , but he’ll be that friend that brings up the defence just to make you really think . because of this he can be either really good with advice … or really bad , there’s no in between . he’ll hit you with a million different solutions , confident that every one is good … “ it just depends what vibe you wanna go for ”
he … gets distracted easily . he dabbles in a bit of adderall , with his course load ... it’s just kinda how he copes . definitely known to pop some pills during night study sesh’s , essays & finals week .
he doesn’t LIKE to party a ton , like … he’s just not into big crowds really ? but if he tells you he doesn’t want to go out , it’s VERY EASY to change his mind , because he has Big FOMO . but he’s 22 yanno and he’s in a big party frat so , catch him getting drunk and probably high every weekend , off to the side with a few less people , or in the smoking pit at the clubs fawning over ur outfit or smth . after he’ll drag your ass to some hole in the wall restaurant and order way too much shit .
he’s lowkey v self destructive . it’s something he doesn’t even realize he’s doing most of the time , but he’s genuinely surprised when a friend sticks around . the ones that do stick , have definitely had to deal with him fucking about and being overdramatic in an attempt to protect himself . idk why this is so important to me , but he FOR SURE made a few tik toks w that whole …. “ if i was a worm … would you still love me ? ” AND if you told him no , would be pissed for days .
very affectionate !!!! with !!!! everyone !!!!
╰ ˚・゚ & 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒔
attended a semester abroad in sweden . is very rusty now , but can hold a basic conversation in swedish .
cleo , his pup , is his absolute pride and joy . he talks about her as if she’s his daughter ok . misses her sm while away at school .
he’s so messy , but will defend himself by saying they always had a maid , and then realizes how DUMB he sounds .
sk8er boi ~~ nah , but he actually does skateboard , and is trying to perfect his kickflip rn .
loves pizza pls
is always attending live shows , he loves the music scene and frequently supports locals
will “ thrift ” the dumbest shit for hundreds of dollars …
plays guitar , but doesn’t think he’s very good
╰ ˚・゚ & 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔
i made up a page HERE , but PLS i LOVE brainstorming , so don’t hesitate to come to me for some brainstorming !!

Poly Role Models: Keira of the NCSF
PolyRoleModels: Welcome to Poly Role Models. Thank you for taking the time to speak your truth here. Would you like to introduce yourself?
Keira: I am Keira, Keira Harbison of the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom.
PolyRoleModels: Awesome. Awesome. Alright, so, let's get started. How long have you been polyamorous or been practicing polyamory?
Keira: I've been officially polyamorous for just over two years and I've been non-monogamous for a little over seven years.
PolyRoleModels: Okay. What does your relationship dynamic look like?
Keira: I have two serious partners. I have a husband and a girlfriend. And then, I kind of free float in and out based on situations and where I am and what's going on.
PolyRoleModels: Yeah. Sounds like me. What aspect of polyamory do you excel at?
Keira: My metamour says compersion. I like that she says that, it makes me feel good. But I think- when I think of compersion, I think of real, serious joy and what it really is that I'm good at is being inclusive and effective at encouraging my partners to be with their other partners.
PolyRoleModels: Fair. Fair. What aspects of polyamory do you struggle with?
Keira: I have serious FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). I am constantly afraid that I am missing out on something and it's generally silly because usually, I'm afraid of missing out on something that I don't actually care about. We'll be sitting, on a Saturday morning, I'll be at my computer, my husband will be at his computer, and his girlfriend will be sitting there and they'll be having conversation about video game and I don't play it, I don't care, but I still feel like I am missing out on it.
The other thing is I tend to make unfair comparisons. I tend to compare myself to my partner's partners and it's not good for anyone.
PolyRoleModels: Yeah. How do you address and/or overcome these struggles?
Keira: I think most of it involves going through a lot of the exercises and things I learn through going to therapy. I have an app that I use often so if I start having these feelings that I know logically make no sense, I will go through my little handy-dandy app and go through exercises to settle myself down. I'm always honest about what it is that I'm feeling, so even if I know logically that it's not reasonable, if I'm feeling it, I will tell the person and I will either ask for help dealing with it or I will ... deal with it on my own.
PolyRoleModels: Okay. What was the name of that app?
Keira: It's called Pacifica. P-A-C-I-F-I-C-A. They have a free version and a three dollar a month version. I've been using it for a couple of years and it's really been very helpful.
PolyRoleModels: Awesome, awesome. Now in terms of risk aware or safer sex, what do you and your partners do to protect one another?
Keira: I generally use barriers with, especially new partners. We get checked regularly, whether it be between each new partner or like every couple months or so. I always tell my partners when I have a new partner and I'm always honest about what's going on and things like that, but, yeah ...
PolyRoleModels: What is the worst mistake that you've ever made in your polyamorous history and how did you rebound from that?
Keira: The worst mistake I've ever made was ... a specific person that I chose to get involved with ... I let new relationship energy really just like, overflow and it ended up… this person was throwing up red flags all over the place and I was just ignoring them and this is the only person I've ever been with that my husband didn't like. And I said, "You know, I really like him. It doesn't matter, so, whatever", and it caused issues with my husband and then ... Essentially, I got so involved with this person that everything else kind of fell by the wayside and it was a bad situation to be in because it hurt my other relationships but it was also a bad situation because it turned out that ... essentially everything he told me was a lie and it was a huge mess. It really, it was not pleasant. It took time to get over it, I didn't do anything really special, I just talked to my partners, I talked to my therapist, and I just let time take its course.
PolyRoleModels: Yeah, I understand. Alright, and the optional. What self-identities are important to you and how do you feel like being polyamorous intersects with those identities?
Keira: Again, so, firstly, I am a female, I am queer, I am married. Those three, being polyamorous is constantly intersecting with them. Being a female, it means that I'm dating and dealing with dating tends to have its own special lovely issues in and of itself. It means that I'm finding new partners, I'm teaching new people about polyamory regularly because I live in an area where polyamory is all but unheard of. It gives me the opportunity to explore my queer identity by letting me have a girlfriend while I'm also married to a man.
And then I think the last thing it really- The last identity that I want to touch on is dependent personality disorder. It's essentially- polyamory allows me to not overtake my partner and not ... it allows me to have this personality disorder without hurting my partner by being overwhelming, if that makes sense. It allows me to recognize that I'm not ... I don't need to be afraid of losing my partner and being alone because I know that I have this huge support network and I'm always going to have someone there.
PolyRoleModels: Fair, fair. Do you have any groups, projects, websites, blogs, etc. that you're involved with that you'd like to promote?
Keira: National Coalition for Sexual Freedom. I am the volunteer director and the secretary of NCSF and we are a national advocacy organization for kink, poly, swinger, any kind of consensual adult activity lifestyle sexual interests. We are here to be a resource and a support network for any group or individual in need of any kind of help within the community, based on their own personal needs, whether it be job discrimination- Right now we're dealing with a lot of child custody issues ... anything where your sexual and relationship identities are being discriminated against or are affecting by something, we are there to help you. The one that I personally like to tell people about is the Kink Aware Professionals list, which is a list of ... therapists, doctors, lawyers, real estate agents, and these are all people that you know- that we know, that you can go to and be sure that they're not going to discriminate against you based on your lifestyle, essentially.
PolyRoleModels: That's a really valuable list. I believe our link to it in the FAQ for the blog.
Keira: Well, I appreciate that.
PolyRoleModels: Last but not least, do you want to introduce your two pups there?
Keira: I totally want to introduce my two pups. Come here, Bell. Come here. Maybe. This is Bell.
PolyRoleModels: Hey, Bell.
Keira: Come here, boy. Jarvis is afraid of everything. Come here, baby. Nope. And this is Jarvis. He is very unhappy that I'm holding him.
PolyRoleModels: Yes. And, this is Sundae.
Keira: Sundae looks unamused.
PolyRoleModels: Yeah, Sundae's never impressed by anything I do.
Keira: Well, that's what cats are there for.
PolyRoleModels: Pretty much.
Keira: That's why I have dogs, because dogs are always impressed by everything you do.
PolyRoleModels: Here at Poly Role Models, we do not take neither a pro or anti dog or cat stance.
Keira: Okay.
PolyRoleModels: Again, thank you so much for taking the time Keira, and ... very much appreciated. Have a good day.
Keira: You too.
PolyRoleModels: Alright.

We hoped to get as close to the border as we could. As we drove on the Texas heat started to fade away and we came to the reality that although we ran away from winter didn’t mean it was gone. The more north we drove the chillier it got. We couldn’t have been luckier to find our camping spot for the night. On Free Camp Sites website I saw there was a free RV park with hookups in Littlefield, Texas. The Waylon Jennings RV park is a little Oasis before you leave. A donation by the city in memory of Waylon Jennings offers a week free of camping with full hookups and then after that just ask for a suggested donation. Being that we are huge country music fans we were excited about so many reasons. We didn’t have time the next morning to stop to see the Waylon museum but don’t think we didn’t stop for some photos and to pay our respects. We crossed over to New Mexico very soon after leaving Littlefield, that’s how close to the border it is. We knew we wanted to head to the Santa Fe area and had some ideas on what we could see but nothing was set in stone yet. We got in just before evening and took the camper into town. The small and narrow streets of downtown Santa Fe are not caper friendly so I would recommend unhitching but Santa Fe its self-was very friendly. We made friends with store owners and they let us and Hank come in to check out their wears. We had a found a Harvest Host spot for the night an Alpaca Farm just a few miles outside of Santa Fe. The owner an amazing older man showed us around the farm and told us if we wanted to check out Santa Fe that we were free to unhitch the next day and stay one more night. That was a lovely surprise and made our exploring so much easier. The next morning we set off early camperless and free to drive those crazy roads around the Southwest. We decided to take the high road to Taos and then hit the Low road on the way back. A crisp but sunny morning made for the perfect day of exploring old churches, Hotsprings, and small towns along the road. Google maps not always a friend to travelers set us on a rocky road but then the defeat of not being able to cross leads us to amazing hot spring at the bottom of the hill. There we found some folks already enjoying the hot springs. A young couple with a dog just like us. And as we started to talk to them we found out we had so much more in common. They like us had sold everything they own and packed up their dog in a van to explore. Foxy the van is their name so look them up and say hello.
There is always too much to see and never enough time. Especially in our jaunt across the west to our new job in Northern California. We had to make some deep cuts to our must see if the list. And serious FOMO was inventing us both haha. A must see for anyway coming to Santa Fe though is Meow Wolf. We had heard stories about this tripped out paradise and we had to see what the hubbub was about. We had a stressful afternoon so this place is just what we needed to take us out of our heads. Ok, how do I describe Meow Wolf. Here is what I know (some of this is subject to word of mouth so…) What I heard is that one of the guys who started the show Game of Thrones bought this huge building and gave it to an art collective and said you have a lease for 10 years do what you want with it. So a group of artist got together and built this tripped out paradise. You walk into what seems like a hip museum. Then you go in through a door and are transported to a house. With a kitchen and bedrooms and normal everyday stuff. But behind ever door even the fridge you are transported to a different dimension. Take a look at our Facebook here for a view. This place is amazing for all ages and is worth every penny.
As we headed back to the Alpaca farm we came across this guy we had seen riding horseback around Santa Fe. We had to stop and get the load down of this man of mystery. On a beautiful horse sat this bearded man and two amazing little pups off leash just trailing behind. And here is the skinny. His name John Wayne, for real. Originally from Michigan, one year he got on his horse and rode it all the way to Santa Fe and settled some roots in New Mexico. And every year he does an annual ride with his furry little friends to commemorate his journey. We felt so very lucky to have caught him on this day, on his annual ride.
You might say no way did all this happen in little old Santa Fe but I think it’s a great snippet of what this Southwest town has to offer. Great food, amazing history and some crazy tripped out arty folks that make everything alright.
Short but sweet was our time in New Mexico but magical it was for sure. We left early the next morning for Mexican Hat Utah pumped to see what the rest of the West had for us.

New Post has been published on https://travelonlinetips.com/13-of-the-best-sunshine-coast-kid-friendly-cafes-and-restaurants-4/
13 of the best Sunshine Coast kid-friendly cafes and restaurants
From aqua parks to wildlife experiences of the up-close-and-personal kind, the Sunshine Coast is a playground for family goodness. But the fun doesn’t stop there.
Soak up the Sunshine Coast’s atmosphere – and take the fam’s taste buds on an adventure too – with this go-to list of kid-friendly cafes and restaurants. Consider the hunt for new eating experiences with menus for everyone, caffeinated drinks for grown-ups and distraction zones for kids sorted.
The Velo Project, Mooloolaba
This back-street community café in Mooloolaba looks after hungry kids and adults alike with a menu that supports local farmers and producers.
Kids will love ‘The Little Harry’s Club’ unicorn chino, grilled toasties with avocado and cheese or Nutella and cream crepes. Mums and dads can avoid FOMO with buckwheat crepes filled with crunchy peanut butter or smoked salmon, or a toasted tortilla wrap filled with slow-braised ginger and soy pork belly.
Velo’s coffee game is strong (they even serve it up in bowls!), but for an alternate pick-me-up, try their healing organic teas. You’ll find a shaded kids’ area out the back with enough toys and cubbies to keep them busy while you sip.
Where: 19 Careela St, Mooloolaba. Open: Breakfast and lunch daily 7am-3pm. Hot tip: Add the Fraser Island spanner crab side for a next-level breakfast.
Guru Life, Rosemount
Head west from Maroochydore and swap the beach for lush gardens, a pond and ducks at Guru Life. The setting is perfect for little explorers and the menu is full of colourful, healthy options.
Start your day under the umbrellas with a wet coconut brekkie bowl (fruit salad with coconut yoghurt for kiddies) or if you’re visiting for lunch, follow the hypnotic smell of their vegan burger with eggplant parmi, cashew cheese, pickled veggies and relish; while the kids can make tracks for crispy calamari or battered fish with chips.
Where: 522 Petrie Creek Road, Rosemount. Open: Breakfast and lunch daily 6am-3pm. Hot tip: This is a good spot for bird-chasing kids to play a feathery version of Where’s Wally so you can finish your coffee while it’s still hot.
CK Coffee Bar, Mooloolaba
It’ll be hard to get your kids to leave the cute indoor play area with books, toys and a play kitchen that entertains while the food and drinks are prepared.
The CK Coffee Bar team have also crafted a kid-friendly menu (based on learnings from their own fussy eaters) with short stack banana pancakes with coconut ice-cream for breakfast or mini Angus beef burger with sweet potato fries for lunch.
Parents, get ready to make the tough choice between a sweet or savoury breakfast with banana and cinnamon waffles with coconut yoghurt or truffle scrambled eggs with herb roasted mushrooms and marinated feta.
Where: 17 Brisbane Road, Mooloolaba. Open: Breakfast and lunch daily 7am-2pm. Hot tip: Lactose-free milk is up for grabs for those with sensitive tums.
Cafe Doonan, Doonan
An adorable rustic café set amongst the trees on a country road outside of Noosa, you’ll spot toys and books indoors or you can head down to the big garden area complete with sandpit and toy boxes.
Breakfast options start with the classics: muesli and zesty smashed avocado. But you can also get adventurous with Café Doonan’s quinoa apple waffles, or halloumi stack loaded with grilled vegetables and topped with a poached free-range egg and housemade pesto.
From the drinks menu, kids can choose from the milkshake range or stick with a babyccino to go with their beans on toast or toasted wraps.
Where: 777 Eumundi-Noosa Road, Doonan. Open: Breakfast and lunch Monday to Thursday 6:30am-4pm; breakfast, lunch and dinner Friday and Saturday 6:30am-8:30pm; and breakfast Sunday 6:30am-12pm. Hot tip: Friday and Saturday dinners have an ever-changing blackboard menu. Go à la carte or put your trust in the chef’s three-course set menu, which is usually themed (and always delish).
Izba Espresso, Birtinya
Breakfast doesn’t come handier than a brekky wrap – and the Izba interpretation is top notch (bacon, egg, cheese and Spanish onion drizzled with homemade tomato relish on a wholemeal wrap). Go for the fig and walnut loaf if you’re looking for something lighter or, if you’re up for a serious challenge, take the triple stack pancakes for a run.
Kids can also pick pancakes (just two, though), Humpty Dumpty eggs or the kids’ mini breakfast (two free-range boiled eggs with thick buttery toast) from the all-day brekky menu.
The lunch menu is crammed with burgers and wraps for adults and cheeseburgers and toasties for the little ones. Whatever meal you choose, enjoy some ‘me’ time while they make good use of the playground area suitable for kids aged four and up.
Where: Corner of Lake Kawana Blvd and Birtinya Blvd, Birtinya. Open: Breakfast and lunch Monday to Friday 6:30am-5pm, Saturday and Sunday 7am-5pm. Hot tip: Check out the jaffle bar at one of Izba Espresso’s other Sunshine Coast branches at Bells Reach.
Boathouse at Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club, Mooloolaba
Surf Clubs are the go-to venue for many a family get-together and this one is no exception. Located in the hub of Mooloolaba, it’s the spot to refuel after a morning at the beach.
Boathouse’s all-day dining menu begins with breakfast staples like bacon and eggs and toasted muesli; while seafood a-plenty and a roast station is sure to fill bellies later on.
On the ‘Nippers Only’ menu you’ll find old faithfuls like fish and chips, penne Napoli, cheeseburger and chips or chicken schnitzel. The best part (for them) is the free ice-cream cone included. Once it’s demolished, they can escape to the kids corner for arcade games.
Where: The Esplanade, Mooloolaba. Open: Breakfast daily 8am-10am, lunch and dinner daily from 11:30am-late. Hot tip: On the first Sunday of each month, your kids can meet and pat pooches as part of the Surf Club’s support of Smart Pups, a local charity that provides Assistance Dogs for children with special needs.
Kelly’s of Peregian, Peregian
Just across the road from one of the locals’ fave beaches you’ll find Kelly’s of Peregian, where you can grab a bite to eat after a morning of sandcastle constructing or an afternoon of salty splashing.
The Kelly’s chefs often get high fives for their halloumi and zucchini fritters, which make an appearance on both the breakfast and lunch menus. They do a baby benedict for your little ones, or they can satisfy their hunger pains by chowing down on a kid-friendly portion of steak and chips.
They can then run amok outside on the village green, perfect their sand-building skills in the sandpit or make the most of the fully enclosed indoor play area with toys and cubby.
Where: 2/6 Kingfisher Drive, Peregian Beach. Open: Breakfast daily 7am-12pm, lunch Monday to Thursday 12pm-3pm, lunch Friday and Saturday 12pm-5pm. Hot tip: If you’re looking for a hearty iron injection to round out the week, head to Kelly’s on Friday or Saturday for their $20 steak night special.
Nouveau Restaurant, Novotel Twin Waters, Twin Waters
If your crew likes to feast on an array of food, try the family-friendly themed dinner buffet at Nouveau Restaurant.
Sit outside and watch Marco Polo action unfold in the hotel pool or stay close to the foodie action inside where the whole fam will be going back for seconds of tasty Mexican, Asian delights, roast goodness or seafood delicacies depending on what day of the week you drop by.
Where: 270 Ocean Drive, Twin Waters. Open: Dinner daily 6pm-9pm. Hot tip: They also put on a delicious daily breakfast buffet with hot and cold options.
View Restaurant, Peppers Noosa Resort & Villas, Noosa
View Restaurant is the foodie heart of Peppers Noosa Resort & Villas but is open to anyone (not just the lucky resort guests).
Their lunch menu will get your mouth watering with dishes like slow-roasted lamb shoulder with grilled Mediterranean veggies, smoked olives and pesto or spaghettini with barramundi, tomato, capers, garlic and parsley. And you won’t need to bribe the kids to get through their dinner as they’ve got seven meal options that all come with a drink, dessert and Peppers kids pack.
Where: Little Hastings Street, Noosa Heads. Open: Breakfast daily 7am-11am, lunch daily 12pm-2:30pm, dinner daily 5:30pm-late. Hot tip: Kids eat dinner for free if you’re a Mantra+ member, which you can sign up for while dining.
Noosa Boathouse, Noosaville
Wander along the jetty from Noosaville’s main drag where sitting pretty on the Noosa River is Noosa Boathouse with three-levels of foodie fun.
Boathouse’s seafood is pretty special. Parents can share baked scallops, freshly shucked oysters and chilled Mooloolaba king prawns, or go all in with the seafood experience for two which has everything a seafood lover needs from calamari and bugs to crab and fish.
Little foodies can pick battered dory and chips, bangers and mash, or pasta from their own menu.
Where: 194 Gympie Terrace, Noosaville. Open: Lunch daily from 11:30am, dinner daily from 5pm. Hot tip: For the ultimate picnic, grab a family pack from the fish and chips takeaway window and find a spot on the sandy bank of the river.
Coffee Cat on Kings, Caloundra
Place your order inside and snag a table outside with views of Kings Beach at Caloundra.
Go for healthy AM options like the Cocowhip breakfast bowl and quinoa Nasi Goreng, or dial up the heftiness with the Beach Jaffle filled with savoury mince and cheese. Juniors can choose between a bunch of toast-related options with hash brown, salmon or halloumi extras.
Lunches are all about burgers, wraps and salads, with the usual suspects like mini grilled chicken burger and Hawaiian pizza for kids combo options.
Where: Shop 4, 8 Levuka Avenue, Kings Beach, Caloundra. Open: Breakfast daily 6am-11:15am, lunch daily 11:30am-2:30pm. Hot tip: Stick around for the live music and fun vibes on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
The Ginger Cafe, Ginger Factory, Yandina
Your taste buds can celebrate all things ginger at this café inside at thee Ginger Factory.
Sweet treats like ginger scones and ginger ice-cream are served up, while the savoury dishes are just as unique – think beef burger with ginger onion jam or Vietnamese ginger chicken salad.
When you’ve had your fill of gingery goodness, let the kids loose in the fenced playground.
Where: 50 Pioneer Road, Yandina. Open: Breakfast and lunch daily 9am-2:30pm. Hot tip: Make a day of it and check out the tours and fun at the rest of the Ginger Factory.
The Pub at Aussie World, Palmview
Don’t be disturbed by the screams as you chomp through your chow at this family-friendly spot. It’s not your kids refusing to eat their veggies; it’s just people having a blast on the rides at Aussie World right behind you!
The Pub dishes up classic grub like chicken schnitzel, steak sandwich and pizza through to crispy skinned barramundi and lemon myrtle calamari. Kids under 12 can take their pick of the battered fish, cheeseburger or crumbed chicken tenderloins – all served with chips or vegetables plus ice-cream.
While you’re in the area, work off the food with a few rides and slides next door.
Where: 73 Frizzo Road, Palmview. Open: Lunch and dinner Sunday to Thursday 11:30am-7:30pm, Friday and Saturday 11:30am-8pm. Hot tip: Adults score entry into Aussie World at kids prices.

Calming Man’s Best Friend with CBD
#poop4u #dogs
If you’re the owner of an anxious dog, you know how rough it can be. You hate to know that your pet is upset, but often there is little you can do about it. Many things can cause anxiety in dogs, from separation from their humans to the fear inspired by noise like fireworks or thunderstorms. Being sick or having an abusive upbringing are also things that can give dogs anxiety, often for life. Plenty of pups have got it, all too many owners think that it’s incurable. For this kind of canine, a little relaxation is in order.
In the last few years, more and more dog owners have turned to cannabidiol (CBD) to help treat their pets for various ailments, including anxiety. Much like humans and CBD, dog owners will have to do some research when it comes to what their pets are ingesting. That’s where FOMO Bones come in, a dog’s best friend. These all-natural CBD dog treats may be the ultimate solution for your furry friend.
FOMO Bones contain:
Passion Flower
Passion Flower is a booster of the feel-great chemical Gamma-Aminobutyric acid. GABA, for short, is vital to your dog being able to chillax, but it can be depleted when your dog faces ongoing stress.
L-Tryptophan
Ever get that post-Thanksgiving drowsiness? L-Tryptophan is a specific amino acid that can be found in turkey meat. Once in the bloodstream, it is found to make you sleepy.
Valerian Root
Valerian has mild sedative qualities, which is why it’s commonly used as a soothe-them-to-sleep aid. This gift from Mother Earth is also well-known for its anti-anxiety capabilities.
Chamomile
Rest your head, it’s time for bed – chamomile tea helps bring on the Zzzzs. It works for dogs, too!
All-natural CBD Isolate
CBD Isolate is cannabidiol (CBD) in its purest form. It’s odorless, tasteless, and the ultimate solution for your furry friend with a constant case of the jitters.
After you have found the lab-tested and well-reviewed CBD product that you want to try with your dog, taking into account the form that will be easiest for your pet to ingest, start slow. Give them small amounts and see what the effects are, then adjust accordingly. Don’t go by any sort of recommended dosage for humans when treating your dog.
As CBD products have proliferated for humans, the same is true for dogs. A lot of dog owners have also turned to CBD to help their dogs with painful conditions like arthritis. Older dogs tend to have problems with their hips and joints, for obvious reasons. There is even a recent study that seems to show that CBD has a similar effect in dogs and humans when it comes to seizures and anxiety.
Signs of an anxious dog include excessive barking, nervous nibbling, and constant whimpering. If this all sounds too familiar, your dog may just have a bad case of FOMO. You might have heard the saying ‘fear of missing out’, but probably only as it relates to crazed Black Friday shoppers terrified of missing out on that 47-inch TV from Walmart. Well, dogs can suffer from FOMO, too – only in their world, it’s probably better known as separation anxiety.
FOMO Bones can help with:
-Separation and social anxiety
CBD gives your dog a calming feeling, helping them relax with no chance of harmful side-effects. Say farewell to chewing stuff, urinating, and pacing.
-Aggression and depression
Yup, that’s right. Dogs can suffer from depression. FOMO can help them dig their way out of the depths of doggy despair.
-Insomnia
Do the neighbors have a pup that just won’t quit the nighttime yapping? Insomnia is almost always linked to anxiety and interferes with your pooch’s restful sleep. CBD has now been scientifically proven to stop dogs from waking up in the middle of the night due to anxiety.
-Fight inflammation
CBD isn’t just a pain reliever, it can also help to soothe chronic inflammation – the kind that comes along with old age and arthritis, actively targeting the joints to provide relief.
-Stimulate appetite
Has your pup stopped begging? Is he no longer at your side while you’re at the dinner table? When a dog stops eating like he used to, you know something’s wrong. CBD can ease pain and alleviate digestive issues.
-Lessen side effects from cancer treatments and major surgeries
CBD helps your dog to feel comfortable, even after treatment for serious medical issues and post-surgery. In fact, the use of CBD for pain relief dates ALL the way back to ancient China, and is today used for the treatment of common human conditions, like arthritis and back pain.
In the end, your pets have to depend on you to make them feel better. You know your dog better than anyone. You’ll know when they are anxious or in pain. They feel in many ways and have emotions that are often connected directly to the emotions of their owner. Do your research and do everything you can to enhance their quality of life. FOMO Bones are CBD-infused dog treats for anxious dogs who love being around you 24/7. And don’t worry, FOMO Bones do not contain THC, so you won’t have a stoned Chihuahua on your hands.
