not sure how the fandom overlap on this one is, but ive been watching precure lately, so here's the first 3 life series winners as cures!

MAGICAL GIRL TRANSFORMATIONS DON'T HAPPEN IN REAL TIME YOU FREAKING IDIOTS.

I am so sick and tired of people asking "So THe viLlaIns JusT wAIt For THeM tO FiNiSH????" or trying to come up with a super complex answer as to how it works, when there's there's the simple (and very logical) explanation that they're actually super quick. Do you think that when we get super long flashbacks the characters just stand there staring at nothing until the flashback ends??? NO OF COURSE NOT. THAT'S STUPID.

The sequence is there to represents how it feels to transform and look pretty. AND I'M TIRED OF SEEING PEOPLE NOT REALIZE THIS. DID YOU NEVER WATCHED POWER RANGERS AS KIDS???

PD: If you're not aware, Israel has been commiting an active genocide on Gaza/Palestine for around 4 months now, they've killed thousands of innocents including babies under 1 year old. This is not a new thing either, Israel has been terrorizing the Palestinian people for over 7 decades now!! @zexalmonth day 9: gate. I love a crossover prompt!!! instead of letting the characters interact I mostly just wanted to draw yuma and astral in cure star and cure milky's outfits tho. the color schemes... 🥺

I love the series where a blue alien partners up with a pink haired protag with the space theme. B) no, but actually these series do have a lot in common and I think anyone whose a fan of one of them should def check out the other!! 🌟

Baby's first tumblr art post!!! Here is Cure Silk aka Iori Yukimura, the lead of my fancure series in progress, Flutter Ring Precure ✨🦋 Her teammates, Cure Ripple and Cure Cattleya, are coming soon!

Some design notes:

The flutter ring precures are all based on an insect and a flower. Cure Silk is based on saturniid moths and plum blossoms, and her season is winter.

Silks fur cuffs are modeled after a moths fluffy "fur" or tiny scales that cover its body. Her skirt is loosely based on a hanfu, and i gave her twin buns to give a more eastern feel.

She also has a bit of a ballerina motif going on with her poofy underskirt and tights, and her attacks involve a lot of graceful jumps.

Silk is inspired by two irl moth species, the chinese moon moth (Actias dubernadi) for the hindwing tail and overall shape of her wings, and the ghostly silk moth (Ceranchia apollina) for the coloration

While not in flight mode, Silk's wings are in the form of her back bow. Since she's a human, she can only fly in her cure form.

and now, to silks fighting style!

Cure Silk has the most defensive skillset of her team, with barriers than she can shatter into ice crystal-like projectiles on impact. She can also easily punish her opponents' mistakes with well timed blocks. The mighty glacier of the team, she makes up for comparatively slow mobility with the sheer amount of damage she can dish out and take. Silk also has a few ice themed attacks that can slow down enemies.
