In other horse-related news: I saw a herd of deer in the pasture tonight on a walk. One of them started to alert (Its like a sharp grunting sound), but I slowed down and started snorting at them, and the deer actually relaxed almost immediately and let me pass no problem. (We were still 25 yards away from each other, but they usually run if they see anyone out here.)
Made me feel euphoric : ). It's like they realized "oh, there's another horse out here, np."

@demonzriti lmao thank u for asking bout these creatures.... ik that like i always post stuff w/o context (so it's a miracle when someone knows who i'm talking about at all). hopefully this will make things a little clearer 😭😭😭
all characters (except those marked with an asterisk) are taken from the 1) the story of frankie potts; 2) m2 family album; 3) joe's adventures dlc; 4) were mentioned/are in the main game
upd. ok i felt that i should add what the point of all this in general bc what if someone doesn't know 😭 there's a canon arc mentioned in the family album about carlo falcone killing his boss, tomaso moretti, back in 1933 and then creating his own family: «Carlo secretly conspired with Frank Vinci to assassinate Tomaso Moretti in 1933, bringing the Vinci-Moretti War to an end and taking control of the Moretti family himself» and all this is basically my delusional version of how this happened + story about moretti family in general

Who are your top 5 ships and do you have any theme songs to go with them? (Your taste in music is pretty spot on! Like Queen of Hearts by Juice Newton??? Literally Pleasant/Sorrows lyric for lyric)
HAHAHAHA THANK YOUUU WOW! I have to say, I’m already in the works for drawing a scene with a similar concept, you know how in Resurrection when Skug is performing Heroes by David Bowie for Xena? (Stares wistfully into the distance, whispering) Hell yes.
Ill use this opportunity to just write my ideas and mayhaps I will drop a couple doodles at a later date. This is a mighty interesting ask, cheers for that.
Here we go:
1. Skulduggery Pleasant/Valkyrie Cain: DUHH. Now, I could give you a playlist, but I’m merciful. So there will be three, and oh God just trust me on these ones guys. Edit: there will be four
2. Serafina Dey/Mevolent: This genuinely is my favourite ROMANTIC ship. Guys they would cross dimensions to be together :( that’s almost on par with Valduggery. And yes, I know they’re goth as fuck but,
I will not explain further.
3. Tanith Low/Ghastly Bespoke: THEY DESERVED TO BE HAPPY. (Shaking fist in Dublin’s general direction)
This song for sure would have been playing if they got their reunion scene from Cassandra’s vision in Last Stand of Dead Men. All I’d add, have a building blow up in the distance behind them and everything would have been perfectly epic.
4. Vaurien Scapegrace/Thrasher: I am vehemently opposed to their lack of involvement in Phase 2, I love that they’re okay and living peacefully together with Clarabelle but maaaan >:^(
5. Valkyrie Cain/Militsa Gnosis: Easily a great ship. Miss Gnosis was laying it on fucking thick and I have nothing but respect for her grind.
Bonus: Temper Fray/Kierre: I know they didn’t get much “screen time” but it was so alluring to me, I can’t believe how instantaneously I was invested. Good job, Landy, I’m hooked.

Willa TV Project – Robert Beatty Books
Tumblr media
I was avoiding posting about this until I saw something a little more official but it's a whole page on his official website so I guess that's as official as it gets
But basically they are finally adapting his books to the screen the company that he is teamed up is surprisingly entertainment one not disney who owns the rights also it's just willa that's being adapted not serafina for reasons I'm not very clear on
Anyways this whole thing is just odd even beyond the whole serafina is not being adapted they're straight cutting to book four of the series and disney doesn't seem to have much if anything to do with it
For a little context in the south within a certain vicinity of ashville (like reaching into other states) the serafina series was marketed HARD everyone knew about it and was supporting it this whole tv show deal tho has been very quiet I've only really seen rumblings of it from the far corners of the internet
They also said in that link above filming locations are not determined yet and this is just me speculating but it does not sound like they are planning on filming it in the smoky mountains again odd that whole area is pretty popular for film projects even hunger games filmed in the Appalachian Mountains so I hope they're gonna film there but idk again I haven't heard ANYTHING
But finally I want to talk about the group that's making it Entertainment One with Amy Adam's Bond Group Entertainment
Entertainment One is kinda interesting when I started looking into them they have things like Peppa Pig dungeons and dragons and insidious they apparently started as a music distributing company that made the switch to movie distribution a few years later and in 2016 a British tv broadcaster ITV plc offered to buy them out for $1.3 bill which they rejected because it was "fundamentally undervalued" the whole time they are pretty much acquiring different other smaller companies left and right and they have a large investment in Quibi I guess? But in mid 2019 Hasbro brought announced that they were apparently acquiring Entertainment one for $4 bill (according to Wikipedia) when hasbro obtained them tho it seems they started making plenty of cuts like laying 10% of it's film and television staff (again number is from Wikipedia) and many branches of the company were straight up closed and by 2022 has brought announced they were planning on selling the company to lionsgate but by the time deal closed last December Entertainment one had already closed its distributing branches in most countries including England and lionsgate bought their assets for $500 mill so safe to say is a dying company that probably won't even last long enough for this project to happen (they were also split into three different separate companies)
Amy Adam's Bond Group Entertainment on the other hand is interesting in a different way according to deadline the company will work mostly with best selling book ip yeah "WILL" seems like this company has not done a whole lot yet the company was only even first launched in 2019 deadline also lists off willa of the wood as one of the things they have in development yeah the show that has basically no buzz is named as one of the biggest things they have in development the company has also very obvious been relying on the name of Amy Adam's so far I mean there's a whole paragraph about her specifically in link to Robert beattys website above
Idk just seems like they have these two companies one that's standing on its last leg and another that's just starting and they're starting halfway through the series it's just odd I'm not letting my hopes up yet because honestly I'll just be happy if it ever even comes out I first heard about this thing a WHILE ago and it's been pretty quite so who knows

21, 24, 25, and 26 for all 3 canon protags!
21. what is their biggest regret? Elsanna Cousland: outside of the obvious being what happened to her family and having to leave her parents to die at Howe's hands I think her biggest regret is that Loghain was killed in front of his daughter. This isn't to say she didn't think Loghain had to be executed for all of his crimes, she does believe that it was the right course of action but she still regrets it. To Anora she'll always be just as much a monster as Howe was to her and that haunts her a little bit. (it is more nuanced than that but that's the gist of her regret)
Serafina Hawke: she has so many regrets, her story is full of them but I think her biggest one is her mother's fate because she really feels like she should have been able to do something to stop it. Most of her other regrets from what happened to Bethany to Corypheus getting free are things that were in part out of her control whether because of circumstance or lack of knowledge but she was actively looking into the murders when her mother was taken, she should have been faster or done better. In general she tries not to think on her regrets too much, she's been through a lot.
Nayeli Trevelyan: Her biggest regret during da:i is probably how she and her friends in the Circle fell apart as a group, she's not sure where most of them are now and they could have been lost in the mage/templar fighting for all she knows. Some were even lost at the conclave. She regrets fading away from those who weren't.
24. what languages can they speak?
Elsanna Cousland: I'd like to think she can speak multiple languages or at least has a grasp of them for diplomacy's sake. She'd try to pick up words and phrases in her travels to different places during the blight if she could. I imagine she knows some fairly unsavory dwarven phrases (thank you oghren). I think if she learned anything growing up it would have been a language that might be important for a port like Amaranthine. Highever is in charge of coastal areas after all. I think knowing a bit of a Marcher language or even a few antivan/rivaini phrases here and there wouldn't be outlandish for her. As queen she does *try* to pick up some Orlesian (again, for diplomacy's sake) and she hates every second of it.
Serafina Hawke: Monolingual, she does pick up the swears her friends use though.
Nayeli Trevelyan: also monolingual, she's tried to learn a few languages but she doesn't usually have the patience for it much as she would like to.
25. what did they plan for their life to look like before the events of the game happened?
Elsanna Cousland: She saw a future for herself with Ser Gilmore, they grew up together and had a budding romance neither had acted on yet when the game began. She would have been happy married to him I think, I have an AU where she is in fact. If he'd been recruited into the wardens she would have stubbornly refused to just never see him again. She'd have her duty and he'd have his but it wouldn't have stopped her. I don't think she'd ever truly want to lead the teyrnir, her brother could handle that but she'd still be an important figure in ferelden as tenacious as she is.
Serafina Hawke: Honestly wasn't sure what her life would look like, she was honestly fairly sure she'd get taken to the circle at some point so she didn't let herself dream too big. She'd have liked just a quiet life with her family in Lothering though.
Nayeli Trevelyan: Was sure she was going to spend her life wasting away in the circle but once mages started rebelling she started to dream big, she craved the freedom for her life to be something other than being trapped in a dusty tower. Obviously since she was at the conclave she didn't advocate for the violence between mages and templars but she did advocate for an end to the circles. So I suppose she got some of what she wanted in the end.
26. do they get a happy ending?
Elsanna Cousland: I don't feel like she will until the blight is cured. She's Queen, Warden Commander, married to the love of her life, and has avenged her family and saved Ferelden but....she could lose everything so soon with the looming threat of the calling. And she can't have any children until she's cured of the blight and she desperately wants to. So....yes and no for her, as happy as it could be but still not quite resolved in my opinion. I do headcanon that (no matter what BioWare does with the warden), the blight is cured down the line and Elsanna and Alistair have a daughter named Alessandra.
Serafina Hawke: I wouldn't say so, no. She's had to leave her home again, she's lost so much in kirkwall and then to lose her place there as well? That's hard to stomach. She does at least have Anders at her side even if they are very much on the run for probably the foreseeable future. They do have a daughter named Lorena though at this point in the timeline. (I randomized a daughter for them in sims once and the game gave me a mini female carver hawke so that has been added into my belief system that Lorena looks a lot like Carver.) Serafina did not get left in the Fade so she's out there doing...whatever it is Hawke is up to these days. I still say it's not the happiest of endings but she is happy enough if that makes sense.
Nayeli Trevelyan: Her ending so far has been happy. She's married to Cullen, she disbanded the Inquisition, and her job is (publicly) over but she'd never sit back and let someone else handle them mess her friend and mentor is trying to make of Thedas, at least not fully. She's far too restless and determined to save her friend for that. So yes i'd say she's gotten a happy ending....so far...
Thank you so much for the ask!!! <3

Care to tell some romantic facts about ROs?
a fact about the ro's when in a relationship with MC:
L has to have a kiss with every greeting and before every goodbye, it will bug them the whole day otherwise.
Ale likes to write cello pieces inspired by you that they probably won’t ever tell you about.
Charlie is likely to take patrols near the club so they can visit and say they were “just passing by”.
S tends to fantasize about your future together when they can’t sleep at night
Dion uses you as a muse when they make glass art.
El’s romantic fact is something you’ll have to learn on their route.
thanks for the ask!

By the time Finn had joined the group, the sun was at its highest point in the sky – a very bad time to go out into the desert. Instead, he and Marina spent some time practicing as Queenie paced around with her thoughts. Getting paint on a human wasn’t going to do much good as retaliation, but she supposed it made it harder to move, and if nothing else the weapons could be used for bludgeoning. There wasn’t any guarantee things would get hostile, but the dread that had settled in her gut wasn’t budging. She felt for the cold metal inside her jacket’s inner pocket.
Finn wasn’t as rusty with his Herobrush as he claimed, and soon felt prepped enough to head out. After a quick meal, the group set out into the desert, carrying enough supplies for an emergency. The coordinates led them a little ways out, but with a clear destination it only took twenty minutes for them to arrive on foot. The human ship had come to rest behind an outcrop of rock, visible only by its fin and what appeared to be a laser canon.
“Do you think this is it?” Marina asked, her mouth agape.
“No, I think it must be some other human ship abandoned in the desert,” Queenie snipped. “Of course this is it.”
“Hey now,” Finn cautioned, though with nothing to back it up. “Let’s go.”
None of them really knew where the entrance was, so they sidled around the ship until they discovered a door.
Finn looked over his shoulder at the others. “Should we knock?”
His question was met with shrugs and eyerolls, so he opted to ta-pa-tap on the metal door. There was no answer. Unable to cope with the suspense, Marina pulled on the handle instead – it wasn’t locked, and the door came open with a tug and a chunk sound. Casting a glance at the others, the octoling motioned for them to follow.
Brightly lit, electricity was already running onboard the ship, and there was a zesty chemical smell as if someone had recently cleaned the floors. The door had opened out into an airlock, though this too was open, allowing easy passage to the rest of the ship. A figure was standing by the exit. Whoever it was caught sight of the newcomers, and they bolted further into the spacecraft.
“Wait!!” Marina called out.
Queenie put a hand on her shoulder. “It’s no use. They won’t understand you anyway.”
“If we follow now, we might catch up.” Finn gestured ahead, before taking his own suggestion and hurrying through the next door. The others followed suit.
It was hard to navigate the interior of the ship without a map. There seemed to be doors everywhere; ones with handles, ones that opened diagonally, ones with windows...
“If you think about the shape outside,” Marina noted, “the front of the ship should be in that direction.” She pointed to their right, at one of the larger diagonal sliding doors.
“Do you think that’s where they went?” Asked Finn, wishing he’d acted fast enough to catch them leaving.
“If not, it should at least be where the control room is. I figure the captain would be around there.”
Marina was correct about the ship’s layout, as the next area was a long corridor. Queenie peered through a window on one of the doors off to the side. It was wall to wall with cryo pods. She pulled away quickly, following the others.
“Hang on,” Marina held up one arm to stop her friends, clutching her Octoshot. A small white robot on wheels, about knee-height, had rolled out of a panel on the wall. It turned its singular camera lens at the visitors before continuing to trundle down the hall.
“Well … it seemed harmless.” Finn, who had reached for the Herobrush strapped to his back, lowered his hand. “Wonder where it’s going…”
“It’s probably for cleanup or some other menial task.” Queenie shrugged. “Now, if you don’t mind, I’d like to get on with this.”
At this insistence, they all proceeded down the corridor and entered the next sliding door, which indeed led to the control room.
Two human women in grey coveralls stood conversing in the centre of the room. One was older, with an unshakeable posture, and the other was youthful and frantic. Their outfits were printed with the ship’s logo. The younger of the two must have been the figure they spotted in the airlock, as she pointed fearfully at the group, gesturing as she talked. Looking over, the older woman froze. She locked eyes with the only other human there, losing her reply mid-sentence.
“No,” Queenie was the first to speak. “It’s not possible—of all people—” She took a stumbling step backward as the other human advanced. Unfortunately, the door had automatically locked itself behind them.
With forming tears, the human captain spoke in a language Marina and Finn could not understand. She wrapped her arms around Queenie. “My daughter! After all this time…”
Queenie’s posture was stiff, her face a picture of disgust, pain, and terror. “Don’t—” she got out, speaking her first language, “Don’t touch me.”
Serafina Ono relinquished her grip, forlorn and frowning. “Do you not remember your own mother?”
“I remember you all too well,” Queenie sneered. “Where was this love and desperation when I was a child?”
Marina and Finn exchanged glances, with eachother and with the uninvolved human, who looked just as bewildered.
“You’re right, Queenie. I was young, then, and foolish. But with what little is left of humanity … can you find it in your heart to hear my story?”
Queenie didn’t offer a reply and remained stock still, clutching her folded arms.
“The others can’t understand,” the younger woman piped up. “We can have STORM translating with the file from—”
“Yes, you’d better do that.” Serafina handwaved her. The young woman pulled up a tablet and began typing something in.
A calm, masculine voice spoke from somewhere above, ‘Ready to translate.’
“Very well—as you should know, I’m the new captain of this ship—Serafina Ono.”
As she made pause, STORM relayed her speech in Inklish for the rest of the group.
“Damn, that’s going to be annoying…” she scorned, before continuing, “With me here is Nami Ono, my stepdaughter. I presume this … red octopus creature is Marina Salt? Who’s your third?”
Queenie shot Nami a piercing look, which made her stare down out of fear.
But Marina answers, and STORM translates her speech too. “I’m Marina, yes. I’m, um, a humans expert. This is Finn, he’s here to help. Sorry, I’m not sure I follow—do you know each other after all?”
“Oh, right. You wouldn’t have heard. Queenie is my biological daughter, yes,” Serafina attempted to clarify.
“It’s complicated. I’ll explain later,” Queenie muttered. “I don’t believe it, of everyone in the world…”
“But—the cryo chambers for the rest of your family—they were empty?”
“I wasn’t part of their little family anymore,” Serafina elaborated, a bitterness dripping from that standalone statement, “but let’s not dig up those painful memories… I remarried, and my new husband, Aoto Ono, was the lead developer of this spacecraft and its AI. The ship was designed to keep us away from Earth until it was safe to return.”
“That doesn’t sound like it went exactly to plan.” Finn adjusted his spectacles. “What happened to your husband?”
“During his most recent centurial checkup, he took his own life.”
Nami Ono’s hand flew to her mouth, an audible gasp escaping her. STORM didn’t translate her utterance, “Dad, he—why would he?”  But it was clear this was the first she’d heard of how they lost him.
Finn immediately felt awful for prying. “I’m sorry—I didn’t realise.”
“These things happen, unfortunately.” Serafina bowed her head but didn’t seem all too moved by her husband’s passing. “He was a great man. We marked a grave for him not far from here. But his death was the reason STORM decided to wake us up … after his next 100-year interval.”
“One hundred years…” Marina brooded over this information. “We’re very sorry for your loss. Is that why you came back to Earth?”
“In part. But we have the other humans to think about, too—the ones still in stasis.” Serafina nodded slowly. “As the new Captain, I’ve decided it’s best not to wake them up until we have somewhere safe to live, with renewable resources. We have plenty of rations to keep us fed, but the desert isn’t a good place for survival. And from my husband's space observation notes, I understand overpopulation and territory disputes were already an issue before we arrived.”
“So,” Queenie finally spoke up again, deliberately choosing the cephalopod’s language over her mother’s. “What do you need us for?”
With a small crack in her patient façade, Serafina gritted her teeth. “To the point? Very well. We need information about the nearby settlement. Preferably a map—infrastructure. We’ve observed plenty from local television, but only now do we have a means to translate. If it’s safe, an escort would then be useful for surveying the landscape.” She pauses momentarily to let STORM’s translation catch up. “As stated - I don’t want anyone to leave cryostasis until I am certain this city can sustain human life.”
“Oh—well, we can do that, but do you not need other supplies?” Asked Marina. “Like more food? Or fuel?”
“A water source if anything. STORM is capable of running on solar energy, though fuel is necessary if we are to return to space.”
“You don’t need MY help, then.” Queenie shook her head. “I haven’t lived in this future long. There’s no reason for us to talk.”
“On the contrary, my dear! Humans should stick together. A shrewd, sharp-witted girl like you would be a massive help communicating with these … squidlings.” She opened her arms with a casual shrug. “I know I’m not your favourite person right now. But would you help for the sake of the other hundred humans on board?”
Cold and stiff, Queenie replied, “I’ll think about it.”
“We’ll help you gather information, Miss Captain,” Finn hastily agreed. “If that’s going to help you get your footing. We can bring things as you need them.”
“Yeah, I can send you data through our communication system—through ORCA,” Marina agrees, though with a cautious glance at Queenie. She looks back at Nami, too. The young woman had become even more withdrawn than before.
“Wonderfully kind of you both. We can keep communicating the way we have, yes. I’ll give you time to think, Queenie. You’re always welcome to return to the ship. But the rest of you—I’d appreciate it if you kept quiet about all this for now.”
Finn got the uncomfortable feeling that they were being shooed out. “Right. A bit of a major news story if we didn’t, I understand,” he mumbles, nodding once.
Queenie shook her head. “You’d be surprised how little Splatsville cares about real humans.”
“Yes,” Marina sighed. “But we’ll keep the secret all the same. It’s an honour to be the first to make contact with you! I’ll send across any information sources you might find useful.” She bobs a short bow.
“Much obliged. See them out, will you, Nami?”
The group slowly trudged out of the ship. There was an awkward air of silence—things seemed to have gone well, there were more humans, and they’d agreed to help them. But there was an obvious strain in the way all three humans interacted with each other. What would happen with more of them?
“I’m sorry about your dad.” Marina put her hand on Nami’s arm as they reached the exit.
STORM wasn’t listening anymore, so after a moment’s hesitation, Queenie bothered to translate instead. Spanish didn’t seem to be Nami’s first language, but she understood it well enough. “She’s sorry about what happened with your father.”
“I am alright.” Nami smiled at them all weakly. “But please return soon.”
