My embroidery of the Sera character card from Dragon Age Inquisition is now complete!

[Image description: An embroidered version of the Sera character selection card from Dragon Age Inquisition. She stands atop a slanted tree trunk with her bow held suggestively between her legs, looking at the Skyhold tower in the distance, where the tiny figure of the inquisitor is present in the window. Mountains and turrets make up the background behind her.]

Sera: We believe you actually created something. An organic life.
Lucifer: Created something? Ha! That would be incredibly irresponsible and a threat to Heaven. I would never ever-
Baby Charlie: *teleports into the meeting* Dada!
Lucifer: …Make more than one.

what if reader was a exterminator helping adam when he went to attack the hotel but instead of him getting killed by nifty it’s the reader and now hes actually showing his emotions to her instead of being a cocky bitch crying bringing you to heaven in hopes to bring you back to life
(i need more adam angst)
Stay With Me
(Name) knew Nifty was an underestimated force. That little shit was utterly insane, and people overlooked the danger she posed because she was small. That’s why it hurt her ego so much when Nifty thrust a blade through her back.
She didn’t underestimate Nifty, yet she was still caught off guard.
She’d been watching Adam scream at Charlie and Lucifer, his pride in ruins, when a sharp pain spread through her torso. Everyone who had been watching Adam was now looking at (Name), their mouths open in the same surprise that (Name) felt.
She watched Adam turn around to see what everyone was looking at, confused. (Name) watched the look of pure horror that spread across Adam’s face when he saw her, before her body collapsed on her and she fell forward.
Nifty began stabbing her back repeatedly, and Adam screamed, rushing over and picking Nifty up, throwing her away like she was an object. He dropped to his knees, gently turning (Name) onto her back.
“No, no, fucking, NO,” Adam rambled, the amount of golden blood spilled around (Name) making him sick. (Name)’s eyes opened when she was rolled onto her back, and she smiled upon seeing Adam.
“(Name), (Name) stay with me. Don’t die on me, you bitch, please, (NAME)!”
He barely registered Lute behind him, begging him to grab you and retreat. But once he remembered where they were, he grabbed (Name)’s fallen halo, before scooping (Name) up into his arms.
He stood, casting a deadly glare at everyone stood around watching. “You’ll pay for this,” he spat at Charlie, taking flight before she or Lucifer could say anything.
Sera’s attention had been called to the retreating exorcists almost immediately, when the first batch came through the portal beaten and injured. She watched as they continued to pour back into Heaven, waiting for Adam to come report what the fuck had happened.
But when Adam finally came through the portal, carrying (Name), without his mask, and beaten up, Sera knew it was very serious.
Adam stumbled into Heaven with (Name), Lute on his heels, and immediately spotted Sera. “SERA!” he yelled, desperately. “Please, help her, please, she’s dying.” Her blood stained his robe.
“I cannot heal, only the elder angels can do that,” Sera said. “So where can I find a fucking elder angel!?” “I may be able to pull some strings,” Sera told him. “Wait a minute.” She disappeared.
“SHE DOESN’T HAVE A MINUTE!” Adam yelled after her.
But Sera reappeared seconds later, an elder angel by her side. “Bring her here,” the elder commanded, and Adam almost shrunk back at her booming voice. Still, he stepped forward for (Name), bringing her to the elder.
He sat, turning (Name) over in his arms to reveal her back. The elder crouched down, holding her hands over the wounds. She hummed, her hands glowing, and Adam watched in relief as the wounds began to stitch themselves back together right before his eyes.
When the elder finished, she put a hand on the back of (Name)’s neck. “She has lost a lot of blood. But she will live.”
“Thank you,” Adam choked.
“Take her home, child.”
Adam turned (Name) onto her back again before lifting her and rushing off. He flew back to his apartment, Lute following at a distance. At his apartment, he stripped (Name) of her bloody clothes, throwing one of his t-shirts on her before tucking her into his bed.
“Sir, are you alright?” Lute finally asked as Adam stood over the bed watching (Name).
Adam took in a deep, shaky breath. “I’m fine, Lute. Go get that fuckin’ arm taken care of.” He wished he’d been nicer to her, she was so loyal, but he couldn’t be nice to anyone right now. Not under these circumstances.
He sat on the edge of the bed, gently stroking (Name)’s hair back. His heart jumped when her eyelids fluttered opened. Her eyes were dreary, tired. “Adam?” she whispered. Adam teared up, looking away. He’d be damned if she saw him cry.
“Yeah, baby,” he replied softly, sniffing and looking back at her. “I’m right here.”
(Name) smiled again. That damn smile.
“Never, ever, scare the shit out of me like that again,” Adam snapped. (Name) closed her eyes and hummed. “I’m sorry.”
“You fuckin’ should be.”
There was silence between them before Adam spoke quietly.
“You really scared me.”
“I know. I’m sorry.”
Adam couldn’t stay mad, too relieved. He sighed, laying down on the bed next to (Name). He laid on his side looking at her. He draped his wing over her like a blanket. (Name) made kissy lips and Adam chuckled, leaning forward and kissing her sweetly.
Even the kiss felt quiet and soft.
They just enjoyed one another’s presence, grateful to still be together.
Adam had almost been left alone for a third time.

ROBIN HIHIHIHI, THINK FAST
*throws u silly HCS ideas yet again aggressively*
SOOO I KINDA GOT ATTACHED TO OUR ASSHOLE OF AN ANGEL, ADAM SO I WAS THINKING:
Adam x Sweet angel reader
basically reader is the most sweet person u can encounter, like always complementing Adam, giving him hand made gifts and etc, and then theres Adam.
wanna know how this dynamic will go
luv ya
"ᏖᏂᏋᏒᏋ ᎩᎧᏬ ᏗᏒᏋ, ᏕᏬᎶᏗᏒ ᏖᎥᏖᏕ!"
Character: Adam x reader (Romantic)
Notes: I'M BACK, I've finally finished my exams YIPPIE
Summary: Reader is a sweetheart and Adam somehow falls in love with them.
Tumblr media
I'm pretty sure that he's always trying to make you angry in some way. For example, he will be trying to annoy you all the time, and you will answer him with a sweet smile asking him if he's happy that day because he seems more enegertic.
We all know that he sometimes says really morally questionable things, so whenever you hear him say those things you will hit the back of his head and scold him.
At first he thought that your kind and sweet nature was a sign of weakness, because well, he's always around Lute and the Exorcist angels. However, when he saw you ruining someone's day with just a smile and two sarcastic but bold phrases, all those negative thoughts about you dissapeared. Now you have a supportive angel behind you everytime you argue with someone. And with supportive I mean that he's flipping the other angel off while saying "That's right, bitch!" or "You tell ém, sugar tits!"
Yeah, he's pretty obvious with his crush on you, and he's not ashamed. He told Lute about it, she was bit confused at first, like... She's sure that your blood is pure sugar, how could he fall in love with you? You're the total opposite. But, she was happy that Adam found someone after the events with Lillith and Eve...
He's a bit insecure of those events, I mean, he's afraid that Lucifer goes to heaven and steal you away from him. Then, he realizes that you don't even know about the exterminations. He won't tell you, and if you were at the council when Charlie tried to talk to Heaven's leaders. He will be very afraid that you turn against him, that you see him as a monster. Of course, you don't want to accpet that he's been killing souls, even if they are in Hell, they don't desever to die permanentely.
He tried to apologize telling you that those souls desever it, they were in hell for a reason, right? You told him that as long as he didn't kill any children or people who didn't really deseve it, you would let him go down to Hell. If not, you would tell Sera and even God about it and forbid him to go to Hell.
Before the extermination he wanted to talk to you in private. "I want to tell you something, sweetcheeks." You looked at him with a smile. "I... Sorry, you..." For the first time in centuries he was at a loss of words. So, he decided to kiss your lips. It was a bit aggressive at first, but when you softly put your hands in his cheeks his tensed up body loosened a bit. When you separated, you looked at golden eyes, which were looking at you softly. You caressed his cheek, you knew that Hell was going to fight back in that extermination, you knew that he was in danger. "Just don't die, please." You whispered. "I won't die, sugar. I'm Adam, the Adam, the original dick! They can't kill me." He said while hugging you. The, he put his helmet on and flew off to Hell. You gave Lute a gaze that asked her to protect him.
What you didn't expect was to see Lute without an arm. You rapidly rushed to her and started to treat her wounds. While you were stitching up her arm, she took something from a bag. It was a halo similar to Adam's. Suddenly you felt a knot in your throat, was he dead? The look that Lute gave you told you everything. "I tried... But... I'm so sorry..."
You took his halo and put it next to your heart. Tears were falling from your eyes, Lute didn't know what to do, should she comfort you? Should she walk away? Call someone? She just decided to stand behind you waiting for you to say something Now, you had mixed feeling about Hell, you were sure that souls could be redeemed and that extermination was wrong. But how could you fully believe them when they killed your lover?

DAI Companions reactions to repeatedly being mistaken for a young/teen Inquisitor's parent or older sibling.
Cassandra: At times it feels like she is, and yet it is never something the seeker begrudges. This young person has stepped into a role no one their age should have to fulfill, and with so many relying on them to save the world at least one person should be standing in the role of guardian and protector of their interests. She only wishes it could be her sole priority.
And if, in quiet moments, to have a sibling again is a balm then it a truth no one else need know.
Varric: He was a lousy brother, though is was not as if Bertrand was winning any awards either. But he never really understood the pressures his older brother was under until stepping into part of that role— and Varric never had the strain of ailing mother or the loss of Orzammar on his shoulders. No, he is not sibling material.
But no father could be prouder of a child than he is, watching their young leader stitch the world back together. Kid needs looking after, and Varric Tethras is honored in the burden.
Solas: If the Inquisitor is elven, no matter his plans for the future, the rift mage feels a sort of obligatory kinship to the da’len so far from clan or kin. Children have always been precious, especially to the Elvhen who did not conceive so easily as humans.
For any other inquisitor he does not correct those who make the mistake, and will turn it into a familiar joke later that the herald must be the most attractive of thei species to be mistaken for an elf. It hides how little he cares for the comparison.
Kin slaying is a terrible crime. Best not to build the relationship from the start.
Blackwall: In another life Thom Rainier had scorend the idea of children, and taken pains to ensure that his dalliances would not conceive a bastard he had no intention of claiming. Now his family name is hardly worth the claiming, and he is grateful his only sister took her husband’s name long ago and is free of his legacy.
But as a warden, true or otherwise, Blackwall is honored by such a comparison. If his presence has had any small benefit to the young person upon whom such a task is laid then he is honored by the comparison. And while he would be the first to argue that no one is better off in his care or keeping, Blackwall would be the first to lay down his life to protect theirs, and will do everything he can to make sure they are well.
Vivienne: For the sake of his grown children- and the wife who had done her duty in the bearing- Bastian could not have given her a child. Even if he could have protected it from the clawing hands of the Circle, whose laws had forbidden such a gift. To be a mother was not in her future, and in her youth Vivienne had taken steps to ensure such an accidental fate could never befall her.
But she could have been. In the quiet moments through out the years she had imagined how such a child might grow, might flourish under the love and guidance of two parents who so deeply wanted it. And while the Inquisitor is neither replacement nor surrogate for that dream, in this young person Madame de Fer can see a reflection of what might have been.
If she takes care to guard their appearance, coach their behavior and prepare them as best she can for the great game, it is easily couched in the truth that it benefits the Inquisition to do so. The truth of her affection is hidden away, no further burden on shoulders already heavy with titles and too few years.
But she can dream.
Sera: When she does think about her childhood, the few times it has to be examined, Sera would not have minded another small person to have run about with. It might have made the lessons and the lies less lonely, to know someone else was there to ride through it with.
But there wasn’t. And she didn’t. And she likes the Inquisitor, is happy to have them as both friend and Friend. But family is a sore spot in the tapestry of her life, and adding patches to warped thread does not fix the faulty loom.
Dorian: It is the worst nightmare of most high born alti, that one’s parents might conceive a second child to rival them for the familiar seat in the magisterium. Never a risk for Halward and Aquinea, whose duties to each other and the marriage bed ended w it the birth of a living and magically inclined son.
And yet Dorian would not have minded a younger Pavus knocking about when he had been a boy, someone to share the duties and adventures of Minrathious in those few years before duty locked away simpler pleasures. But when he is first mistaken for the Inquisitor’s father, first mistakenly assigned that guardianship and all it brings?
It staggers him, how deeply the role could fit. For all that their creation is anathema to them, Dorian Pavus would never scorn a child of his blood. Of any blood, in truth. If their herald is young enough and without guardianship, without a future once Corypheus is defeated…
It is a thought for later.
The Iron Bull: Where is the lie? Was he any less worthy of the imereki than those who had left them behind? The feelings that well up when the mistaken role is given do not surprise him, and Bull is perhaps the easiest of any besides Cassandra with taking on that burden. The Chargers are his family, and if they survive the Storm Coast the little Herald is gathered up into that fold without question.
And even with one eye he can see the second Dorian accepts and even relishes the idea. The Iron Bull didn’t come South looking for a family, but one may well be within his grasp regardless.
Cole: “Shared name, shared memories, tied together by all the things that matter. Even when we don’t agree there is still love and trust, striving for something greater than we are. Yes! We are a family. That makes sense.”

Soulmate arc
Michael proves that he needs help
Angst, Gore (?)
A/n: So, Originally the chapter was longer. But it was wayyyy too long, so I choose to split it.

Chapter 8 > Chapter 9 < Chapter 10
Leonardo was reading peaceful one of his science books. One of many he owns in heaven.
He loves these kinds of pieces like electric, Atomic and the other things that the human created with his little help.
Even though sometimes it ended in war or weapon, which was kind of disappointing for Leonardo. Why would they create something to just destroy themselves?
He stopped reading as he felt the sudden familiar power of an opening a portal.
He looked above his book trying to catch what was disturbing his peace.
Leonardo watched as Michael came through a portal and carried you in his arms.
Of course it is Michael.
“The Seraphim?” Leonardo asked his smaller brother as he raised his finger towards his face to adjust his glasses.
Michael looked over at Leonardo, and cursed.
oh he is so fucked.
Leonardo was the responsible one.
Always listening to what father has to say and always do his job 100% correct.
Mostly he keeps heaven in control so nothing gets out of hand.
It was till they created Sera, and now he's thinking about getting his old responsibility back.
Sera couldn't be trusted anymore. She had one job and Michael did it for her.
Bring the seraphim back.
“What?! Nooo that’s just an exorcist who needed help-“
“What is she doing here?” Leonardo stated clear. He is not in the mood to play with Michaels dumb little games.
“Just doing my job.” Michael said, his emotionless eyes looking at Leonardo.
Leonardo sighed laying his book aside. “He said not to hurt her,” He looked down at your broken legs and hands. “And you obviously did.” His golden eyes burned into Michael’s soul, making him shudder.
“Calm down brother! You really think she’ll come without a fight? You’re too naïve.” Michael laughed nervously.
“I could’ve done it better.” Leonardo said in a matter-of-fact tone. "Maybe even Sera." An cold wind blow freezed the tips of Leonardo's Black hair.
Michael was not pleased with the comparison with Sera.
Michael stepped forward his icy blue eyes bored into Leonardo golden one. “I will handle it.”
Michael pulled you along with him. Not caring that you got a cut added every time you slammed against a rock, that laid on the floor.
You were in a place in heaven that looked identical to hell, maybe even worse.
The floor was worn out and every surface was uneven and had holes.
A place that was hidden before bare eyes.
A prison or worst a torture chamber.
Creatures were behind those bars and are more terrifying than anything in Hell.
Except maybe root.
It was Michael playhouse, his palace.
The place where he can live his sadistic and psychopathic ways fully.
And everything else is his Hunting ground.
Making people disappear out of nothing and bringing them in the depths of this lovely place.
Someone who lands in here never goes back, not at least in the form how they came.
They get completely mangled and stitched together like in the worst horror movie.
You are Michael's new subject that he got in his claws.
The one he’ll break and re-build.
You’ll be the one who’ll destroy her loving partner.
His perfect subject.
How is he still in Heaven you ask?
One of daddy’s Favorite.
He threw you into an empty dark room and you hit your head hard against the dirty cell wall.
Blood started oozing out of the fresh wound, but no reaction.
The pain is nothing compared to the old wounds.
It was just a little pinch.
The hole in your thigh pulsated harshly reminding you of its very existence.
You squinted your eyes open, only to realize that you were hanging high above from the ground.
You tried to move but the chains on your wrist held you in place.
It hurts.
The chains scratched your wrist open in a slow pace. Your broken hand was pressed firmly against the chain. It feels like your hands are getting ripped apart from your Arm.
It hurts so bad.
You wanted to scream but you can’t, his ice was still on your lips making you shiver from the cold.
Lucifer help
Legs were unmoving and you got in a panic like state.
You can’t move an inch.
Please Lucifer it hurts
You’re a damsel in need and Michael could you whatever he wants with you.
And right now, he was watching you suffer.
He probably got an erection seeing you hanging there with the broken limps He caused.
“So, you’re awake?”
He sat down on a chair that stood in front of your cell, your new home. “Choosing not to talk, huh?” He chuckled when the sound of moving chains echoed through the dark hollow walls.
The magic this place once held, was completely sucked out by Michael's evil thoughts.
“If you think that is the worst it can get, I must disappoint you.” A monstress scream and a slashing sound of a whip was what caught your attention.
It is unbearable.
The sounds of Angels that were getting ripped apart and sewed together to create some of Michaels weird obsession.
And you may wonder how Michael ended this way. He used to be a happy Man, and now he is a cold hearted psychopath.
And echo in those walls gave you the answer. A small whisper in the last bits of magic the Playhouse had.
It gave you the answer to this question.
He wants to create, just like his twin brother Lucifer.
But he can’t.
So, he took this place to make creatures for heavens protection. But these creation never worked. They were brainless and brutal monsters.
Killing everything that was near them.
And he fell deeper into despair.
He never could be Lucifer and it was pissing him off.
He wasn't as creative as Lucifer. He never could be.
Lucifer was God’s favorite.
So, Michael sabotaged him.
Making Lucifer fall for Lilith and letting the forbidden Apple into Lucifers grasps.
It was Michael's duty to protect. But he didn't protect the Apple, no. You could say he gave it to him like a wrapped up gift.
Lastly Michael gave father the Idea to create Hell.
And after that Michael talked to his brothers to banish Lucifer into hell.
For his sins.
And now Lucifers Playhouse is his. The precious thing that Lucifer had in heaven, he even took this.
And now he has you too.
All mine. thought Michael, driven by envy and Jealousy.
How is this place in heaven? How is he in heaven
“We’ll see each other tomorrow rotten Apple. Try to take some rest, tomorrow isn’t going to be a good day for you.”
The voices stopped.
The sound of heels meeting the cold floor was the only thing that kept you sane for a second.
It kept the voices away that talked through the walls.
Sometimes you could see how they dragged an Angel down into the surgery Room.
So that happens to those who betray him.
It was cold and lonely down here.
The sound of voices and clicking of the clock ringed in your ears. It was uncomfortable.
All you wanted was going back to your beloved Lucifer.
You couldn’t sleep because of the pain from the hole in your thigh that started to get infected.
The flesh around it grew fury red and the bugs started to slowly eat the flesh around it.
You closed your eyes to imagine that you were with him. That this all was a nightmare and you're alright.
But the pain reminds you that nothing is alright.
Everything will be alright.
"You Liar." You whispered and opened your eyes to look at the black surrounding.
The sound of heels hitting the floor grew louder and louder till it stopped.
You raised your head and looked into those golden eyes that brought some light into this dark place.
“I never dared to go to Michael’s playhouse, but I had to see it for myself. The Seraphim that father wants to have back. And yet here you are chained up by our dearest Brother Michael.”
Click.
He opened your cell and released you from the chains.
You fell right into his arms, and he wasn’t cold like Michael, no. He was warm like Lucifer; you miss him already. His hands raised and touched your forehead, he pushed your hair slowly out of your face and the warm feeling came back.
It reminded you when Lucifer and you first met. This unknown Angel was helping you.
Why?
As if he heard your thoughts, he Introduced himself as The Arch Angel Leonardo.
“I’m here to help. I can’t get you out of here yet, but I can heal your wounds.” Your hand and legs snapped in their right place, and you could feel them again.
A tear of hope streaked down onto Leonardo’s black coat, and he stroked your back softly.
The hope will not last long. Not as long you're here trapped into Michael's little Playhouse.
“You can rest for now.”
He laid you on the hard bed that was in the corner from the cell and his grip left your body.
It was a step back into reality.
The coldness hit your neck like a cold shower. You buried yourself under the thin sheet for any warmth it may have. And you finally slept out of exhausting.
_____
Lucifer was pacing around the hotel lobby, “We must do something!” He was terrified what will happen to you if he doesn't do anything.
He knows how heaven can manipulate and cruel.
But Michael was a different story.
He was not allowed in heaven, so how can he get you back? it was against the agreement they had.
But he will go regardless. For you he’d break this one rule he never over stepped.
For you he'd destroy heaven if it means to get you back.
Charlie stood there in silence, she felt like it was all her fault. She hadn’t put any safety measurements in her hotel to keep any attacker at bay.
And Michael took you away.
Now Lucifer lost you, and worse they all lost you.
And maybe she’ll lose her father of her dumb mistake.
Soulmates can’t be separated for a long time for a reason.
“Luci?”
A soft voice called out for him.
He spun around and glared at the person who stood on the staircase. “Lilith?”
Again, weird timing.
She stepped in front of him not even glancing at the other members.
She has something planned, Angel Dust thought as he looked her into the eyes.
They gave a dangerous look. A glint of hatred reflecting in them.
She's not here to be friendly.
_____
You woke up from the heavy sound of metal meeting stone. Voices were keeping you from going back to sleep.
Michael and another person were standing in front of you observing the scenery.
Michael looked at your healthy body. No Broken Limps.“Leonardo has to ruin all my fun.” Michael pouted and the other one just shrugged.
“He doesn’t like when you’re, you know, you?” The other person said looking at you.
You stood up and stretched your body, the aching pain of your muscles calmed in relief after some movement.
You looked the other person right into their golden eyes, just like Leonardo's.
His Grin was just like Lucifers just with Humane teeth.
Why do they have to be all related.
He bowed slightly and introduced himself as Azrael the Arch Angel of Death.
Your mind spins what type of Arch Angel is Leonardo and what was Lucifer?
You know that Michael is the Arch Angel of protection.
You know so much about Lucifer but also nothing.
With a snap of Michaels fingers, you were back up in chains.
You grunted at the sudden burning sensation from the chains. They were icy cold. “Your little lover boy seems to be in a little trouble my dear.”
___
Lucifer stepped back as Lilith stalked towards him, throwing affection comments on him.
What is her plan?
Lucifers back hit the wall with his back, there’s no escape.
He cursed.
Lucifer doesn't want to hurt Lilith.
Not in front of Their baby.
_____
“He spins lies and crawls between sheets.” Michael chuckled, and Azrael crossed his arms in front of his chest the smirk never left his face.
In front of you an orb appeared, it was deep black with a white aura flying around it.
“Let me show you something my dear.” Azrael said pointing towards the orb.
The orb showed the Hotel, or rather the scene that takes place in the hotel.
Lucifer and Lilith were standing both so close.
Lucifer wouldn't do anything, he loves you right?
___
Lilith pulled his chin towards him and kissed him forcefully.
Shoving her tongue into his mouth.
A passionate kiss was shared between. Or that's how it looked.
____
You looked at the orb Azrael made for you to look through.
Your hands ached from being chained too long, bruises almost turning black. And all you could do is watching helplessly how Lilith was kissing Lucifer.
No that's a Lie.
A piercing pain throbbed and spread in your heart. Like a knife that buries itself slowly into the soft flesh of your heart. The knife slowly gets dragged down, slicing your chest open in the process.
That's the nearest thing that could describe the pain you feel right now.
“He never loved you.” Azrael’s words echoed through your hollowed skull, your mind was screaming, and you couldn’t take it anymore.
The pain that resides in your heart and the words Azrael and Michael were planting into your minf.
Stop
This all must be a lie.
This must be fake.
Lucifer would never do that to you. “It’s real darling.” Azrael took your chin between his fingertips, a sadistic grin never failed to appear.
No
Your body felt numb, you slumped down when Azrael let you go.
You hang on the chains like a dead corpse.
Michael looked from the shadow; he loved the view.
Your suffering was pure pleasure to him, you suffer is his suffer and it filled his icy cold heart with desire.
He wants more destruction.
More of your breaking.
He wants to see you break into itty bitty pieces.
So, pity full.
Your eyes were empty, you’re shutting down. No more defense reflexes.
You wanted to die right here and there.
Were you not enough?
You should’ve known that this was all a lie.
It was all your fault after all.
You broke his trust in the first place.
Leonardo looked down at your figure and he was the only one who didn’t smile.
Since when is he watching anyways?
Is it pity? Is it caring?
Stop, stop.
Stop looking at me like that.
He should smile not taking pity on your own misery as something sad.
They’re all the same, Arch Angels are all the same, even Lucifer.
He wants to use you just like anyone else.
Leonardo will play with you and then throw you away like everyone else.
You were mad and disappointed. Lucifer made you feel like the only person he needed.
But in reality he just wanted you gone so he could have Lilith back.
And when you were captured by the one and only Michael.
And Lilith took the opportunity that you here chained up in here.
She lets Michael do whatever he wants with you. and in return she returns to Lucifer.
Wasn’t she known to be kind and loving and just left Lucifer with their child.
Then she replaced you, taking her spot back that she left long time ago.
Were you living to rot in your own misery.
Who would Love you anyway?
Not even your own mother glanced a second glance at you when you needed her the most.
You felt like a failure.
You couldn’t even keep your own Soulmate that is destined to stay by your side.
You looked up at Leonardo, his pitiful stare was stirring something in you. Something you never felt, it was indeed a sin.
In the end you never dared to sin. But the plates have changed. Your life already is horrible.
Anger, and the desire to kill build up in your chest. Filling the pain that is planted deep in the softness of your heart.
“don’t look at me like that. Go on laugh, laugh that I thought he would safe me out of here. NO ONE IS STOPPING YOU!” You clawed up to him, the chains were rustling and the skin of your wrist were scratch open.
You wanted to claw his face open. You wanted the pain to stop. Tears were falling uncontrollably, and the sobbing mixed with the horrible sight of you clawing to get out.
That someone will come and save you out of this.
But no one will come
You feel like you’re going to burst, you didn’t want this life.
You wanted Love, you wanted to be loved and someone to tell you that you're safe.
You missed him even though he betrayed you.
Love is the greatest curse of them all
God created you out of mere dust and let you stay in the dirt.
Not even God could love you.
Leonardo shifted his gaze away from you, “I’m sorry…” You laughed at his attempted apology. And your body fell lump.
"I got you" Sera whispered as she held you close to your body. You giggled and looked up to your mother. "You'll never leave me, right Mom?" And Sera nods. "Never."
She left.
"I got you sweetie." Lucifer's Forehead was on yours and he hums a soft tune that calmed you down.
You had a panic attack.
You dreamed about your mother again and Lucifer came to calm you down."I'll not leave you."
That’s what Lucifer said and look where he is now.
He's gone.
"You're alone, Y/n."
In the Arms of his beloved Lilith.
____
Lucifer was quick to push Lilith away with brutal force. He rubbed his mouth with his clawed hand in a disgusting meanor.
“Get the fuck off me.” He said while spitting the mixed saliva out of his mouth.
His lips felt like they’ve touched poison.
He was glad you haven’t seen this. He is scared that you’d misinterpret this.
He doesn’t want Lilith he wants you.
And he certainly doesn't want to lose you.
Little did he know that’s why Lilith did it and in fact you’ve saw the kiss they shared.
Lilith, who was now on the ground, smirked up to him.
“The damage already done love.” Her Voice was full of venom. That’s not the Lilith Lucifer used to know.
Lilith was kind and loving.
And now she’s rotten and disgusting like spoiled milk.
“What have you done?” He tilted his head rather asking himself what damage Lilith meant.
“Your little Angel. She’s the one you love and care so much and she’s the one who’ll burn this all down.” Lucifer raised his eyebrows.
“What you mean?” Angel dust asked, clearly knowing who’s she referring too. “Yeah, she’ll never do that.” Husk stated serious catching everyone in surprise.
He genuinely cares about you and that surprised the others.
The Husk cares about an Angel. Wouldn’t be the first Angel but the other is a demon that carries the name Angel.
The name of his new Identity.
Lilith laughed, “God has his Plans.”
Lucifers ears peaked at that, “God? Now you’re a puppet of him? The one who you said made you suffer? Really? That’s why you left me all alone with a child?”
He took a deep breath closing his eyes, trying to calm down his building anger.
“Where is she?” He asked calmly, his eyes remained closed as he waited for her answer.
No Answer.
“Tell him, you pig.” Vaggie said holding a spear deathly on Lilith’s neck.
“I could kill you in less than a second. You’re in the deathly position, Vaggie.” Lilith smirked up at her, tapping with her nail on the Angelic weapon.
Tap
Tap
“And in less than a milli second I can wipe you out of existence,” Lucifer opened his eyes showing its fury scarlet color, “So tell me, where is she?” He leaned down towards her face.
Fire danced along with his words, intimidating Lilith.
“She is in heaven.” She answered in defeat.
“Oh, we know. But where?” Angel said and his voice wasn’t welcoming either.
No one hurts his little sugar tits. Not even the Arch Angels themselves.
“In Michaels playhouse, your old one. That's where she is right now. But I don’t have any more Information.” Lucifer snapped with his fingers.
Chains appeared out of the ground pulling Lilith down a portal to God knows where.
Lilith screamed at Lucifer, to let her go. She doesn't want to go there where these chains will drag her.
“We are leaving.” Lucifer muttered, patting the dust from him.
“Where to?” Charlie asked looking her father in his red eyes.
“It’s time to bring Y/n back.”
Please be alright.

Embroidery progress video for my Solas tarot project (x), referencing his character art from Dragon Age: Inquisition. 64 hours work, 11.5 x 19.5 cm. Enjoy!
This is a slightly longer video than the one from my tiktok. At some point I'll make a stitch explanation like I did with my Sera card.

Stuck On You | Part Three
Tumblr media
cassian x reader | Cassian can't seem to forget about you since the night you met seven years ago. he thought he would never see you again but when he does, he's determined to make you his. this time for good.
“Don’t worry. She likes your butt and fancy hair. I know, I read her diary.”
[series masterlist]
A/N: I debated on splitting this into two parts since it came out longer than intended but I wanted to leave the bulk of the angst in this part. Some more scenes and quotes from Lilo & Stitch since I couldn't help myself. just one more part! I have a rough outline of it so I probably won't be able to finish it tonight but definitely by some time this coming week.
Warnings: angst, some fluff if you squint, mentions of violence/abuse
Tumblr media
“Cassian said he would take me out for ice cream if you said yes!” Seraphine beamed, removing her boots at the foyer of your small, humble home. “I’ve never had ice cream before. Have you?”
“Sera,” you said with a sigh, concern laced into your tone over how attached she was to him. His month-long absence had given you a glimpse of the consequence of the effect he had on not just you but Seraphine as well and you didn’t want her to get hurt. She wouldn’t understand.
“I think it’s best if we don’t see Cas anymore.”
She turned to you with a pout. “He’s our friend! You have to say yes.”
“I can’t.”
“Why not?” Seraphine’s lip quivered, her tired eyes brimming with tears.
You didn’t answer, couldn’t bring yourself to.
Instead, you threw your aching body onto the small loveseat in the living room. This week had taken both an emotional and physical toll on you, as you tirelessly kept Seraphine up to date with her studies, managed the tavern’s monthly expenses and wrestled with your inner turmoil concerning Cassian. The constant restlessness in Seraphine only added to the mountain of exhaustion, her unbridled excitement buzzing incessantly over everything.
You knew you should draw a bath for the both of you and then head to bed, considering your fatigue.
However, you were well aware of your little sister’s stubborn nature as it was one you also exhibited. It must run in the family. Once she was fixated on something, there was no distracting her and judging by the intensity of her little sister’s sobs, you braced yourself for a long and challenging night.
“You’re so mean!” She cried. “I hate you!”
“Please don’t be a pain tonight,” you groaned, pinching the bridge of your nose.
“You should just sell me and buy a rabbit instead!” Sara shouted at you with her finger pointed at you, referring to your empty threat of replacing her with a rabbit every time she misbehaved. You hadn’t brought it up in months, years even, and were surprised she remembered.
“At least a rabbit would behave better than you,” you muttered.
“Go ahead!” Seraphine exclaimed, making you wince at her sharp tone. You hoped your neighbors could not hear her, fearing what they’d do if they did. You heard her angry stomps as she made her way to her room. “Then you’ll be happy! It will be smarter than me too.”
“And quieter!”
“You’ll like it because it’s stinky like you!”
“Go to your room!”
“I’m already in my room!” Seraphine screamed as she opened her door just to slam it shut again, irritating you further.
You grabbed the nearest pillow and brought it to your face to muffle your scream.
**
Guilt began to settle as your initial anger faded away. You knew you had overreacted. For many years, it had just been you and the small family your mother had created. Neither you or Seraphine had made any friends in Ironcrest yet, unless you counted the friendly old male who you purchased spices and groceries from every Sunday.
Your small family of four had unexpectedly and significantly reduced to half, leaving just you and Seraphine. Of course, she was excited when Cassian came along. You’d deny it if asked but a part of you was excited too.
He was sweet and kind but your worries crept in about what it meant to allow him into your tightly-knit world. What if things didn’t work out between you? What if the burdens you carried were too much for him to bear? You couldn’t allow him in further when your sister was already so attached to him, unable to bear the thought of having her witness another loved one disappear from her life.
You had to end this, whatever it was that you and Cassian had and you had to end it soon. Before any further damage could be provoked.
Throughout your life, stability had been a luxury, and the haunting fear of attachment loomed over you. The constant uprooting had instilled a deep seated fear of getting close to people. Every bond you had forged was inevitably followed by a painful goodbye. The walls safeguarding your heart, constructed since childhood, grew higher and stronger with every move. You had hoped that your mother’s marriage would bring a lasting change, a nice and needed break from moving, and for a while, it had.
However, the universe had a cruel way of reminding you that stability was a luxury you couldn’t afford. You would’ve never expected your one night stand with Cassian would lead to something more–to this.
Cassian, with his unwavering determination, posed a threat to the walls you had carefully built around your heart. Love. It seemed like a beautiful risk but the fear of losing what was gained, overshadowed its allure for you. Your heart had never felt so heavy.
You took a deep breath before knocking on your sister’s door. The lack of response didn’t surprise you. She must still be upset. The soft glow of faelight seeping from beneath her door confirmed she was awake. Balancing the two mugs of hot cocoa in one arm, you opened the door and slipped inside.
Your stomach churned at the sight of your little sister, clutching the pegasus doll that Cassian had gifted her. Tears streaked her face as she gazed down solemnly.
“I brought you, your favorite. Hot cocoa,” you offered, hoping to bring a glimmer of cheer to her troubled expression.
“We’re a broken family, aren’t we?”
You frowned, setting the tray down on the nightstand, hesitating before answering. “Maybe but only a little…”
You settled yourself onto Seraphine’s bed, gently cradling her into your lap. “I’m sorry for earlier. I shouldn’t have raised my voice at you.”
“I like you better as a sister than a mother…” Seraphine sniffled.
“Yeah?” You tenderly brushed her long, dark hair away from her face in contemplation.
A pang tugged at your heart–the weight of becoming a mother figure pressed on your shoulders. As a sister, you also played a nurturing and protective role in Seraphine’s upbringing, offering support when it was needed. You were the one Seraphine would run to for comfort after your mother's scolding or being stern with her, but now you were the one that had to be stern. It was a struggle finding the delicate balance between fulfilling the motherly duties Seraphine needed and preserving the sibling bond that meant the world to you.
“And you like me better as a sister than a rabbit, right?”
“Oh, my sweet Sera.” You replied, pressing a kiss to her forehead, your arms wrapping around her smaller form with a gentle squeeze. “Of course I do! I would not make my special hot cocoa for just anyone. Only you.”
You handed one of the mugs to her, smiling fondly as she inhaled the rich aroma of the hot cocoa.
“Cassian says ice cream is like frozen milk,” she mused softly. “I wonder what hot cocoa would taste like frozen but then it would no longer be hot cocoa, right? We would have to come up with a new name for it but I don’t think I like the sound of frozen cocoa…”
Her innocent dilemma made you laugh, finding it utterly endearing. You wanted her worries to always be like this. Small and trivial.
“Perhaps we should leave the cocoa out to freeze and find out for ourselves? We can decide on a name then.”
**
The night air was chilling, the cold wind biting at your cheeks. You hugged your coat closer to you, sparing at glance at Seraphine to make sure she still had hers on and the scarf you had bought her was snug to keep her neck warm. You couldn’t help but giggle when you caught Cassian, who had been persistent on walking you home, was constantly blowing his hair out of his face.
“Did you lose all your hair ties?” You quipped, digging into the pocket of your pants and offering a hair tie to him to alleviate his struggle. He reluctantly took the elastic from you and tied his hair up into his usual bun. You noticed he wore it down more recently. “You can keep it, too.”
“I just wanted to let it loose, try something different.” He replied with a casual shrug of his shoulders.
You let out a small hum, stuffing your hands back into your pockets to keep them hidden and fell into a thoughtful silence once more. There was a knot in your stomach as you three neared your house.
Seraphine, who once again had chosen to skip ahead of you two, paused. She turned around with a knowing gleam in her eye. Her lips curled up and she opened her mouth to speak and if you hadn’t been occupied in the tempest of your thoughts, you wouldn’t have missed Cassian bringing his finger to his lips to keep her from exposing him.
“Fancy hair,” she giggled, despite his plea.
“What was that?” You said, turning your head toward your sister.
Both Seraphine and Cassian exchanged a look before turning to you, responding in unison:
“Nothing!”
Your eyes narrowed at the two in suspicion but you decided not to question it.
When you three finally reached your home, Cassian was surprised at your invitation to come inside. You had never invited him inside, always bidding your farewells at your door. He walked in, overwhelmed by the sweet and delightful scent. It smelled just like you. His eyes darted around the living area curiously, taking in all the small touches you incorporated to make this place feel like a warm and inviting home.
You instructed Seraphine to change and pick a book for you to read to her before bed. She politely said her goodbye and goodnight to Cassian, her movements slow as she was reluctant to follow your instructions. She had no desire to go to bed, not when Cassian was inside your home for the first time and you found the glare she sent you amusing.
Cassian was staring at the wilted and dead flowers resting in a small vase you had placed on the kitchen table, recognizing them as the ones he had gifted you so long ago. You never threw them away.
“Cassian.”
He loved the way you said his name. But it was different this time. He pulled his attention away from the kitchen table to look back at you. You leaned against the back of the loveseat in hesitation, your eyes revealing the weight of the decision you were about to make.
His throat tightened. “Yes?”
“I think it’s best if you stop coming here.” Your voice was laced with a vulnerability you hated and before Cassian could reply, you were speaking again. “I have to take care of my sister. I can’t risk her getting attached, more so than she already is and–and neither can I. We’ve lost so much already…”
A tear escaped your eye. You brushed it away with a trembling hand and then Cassian was bridging the distance between you both, his hand gently cupping your cheek and coaxing your gaze to his.
“Y/n,” he gently whispered. “You’re not going to lose me.”
“How can you say that? What if something happens and–”
“Please don’t push me away.”
“They call you the Lord of Bloodshed. You’re the commander of the High Lord’s armies. You made a name for yourself. And me? I am no one. I’m not worthy of love. Of you. You’ll soon realize it and grow tired of me–”
“Stop.” Cassian interrupted, bringing his other hand up to cup your face. His touch was both comforting and agonizing. “You are worthy of love and so much more and I want to prove it to you. There could be a room full of others but just like that night at the bonfire, I want you. I choose you.”
A heavy sigh escaped you as you gently removed his hands from your face. “But I can’t choose you. I have to choose Seraphine. I always will and right now, I can’t afford to have you both.”
The weight of your words hung in the air, a stark reminder of the responsibilities that anchored you, pulling you away from the love that beckoned.
Cassian grasped your hands in his, refusing to let them slip away. He did not want to let go of you. He understood the depth of your worries and the distress etched onto your features was breaking his heart. Why couldn’t you see yourself the way he saw you?
“I won’t force you into something that scares you, y/n.” He reassured you with a soft tone, his thumbs tracing soothing circles on the back of your hands. “I only want what’s best for you and Seraphine.”
Your lips trembled as you managed a small, strained smile.
“But you have to know that I love you–both of you. And this love, it’s not going anywhere. It’s a constant. A promise that will never waver.”
**
Cassian hadn’t returned and although you had asked for it, you couldn’t deny the lingering void in your heart. Seraphine sensed something was amiss when your voice wavered as you read her a bedtime story shortly after he left. Surprisingly, she refrained from asking about Cassian until a week later, almost as if she dreaded hearing the news that he wouldn’t be coming back.
When she finally did, tears welled in her eyes and you comforted her, convincing yourself it was for the best. However, the attempt of reassurance was futile and did little to ease your own pain.
Seraphine sighed, absentmindedly nudging the green vegetable on her plate. Scrumps was propped on the table, facing her with its stitched eyes. “At least I still have you,” she murmured to the pegasus plush. “You’ll never leave me, right?”
You frowned at the sight, feeling helpless and unsure how to alleviate your sister’s sorrow. This was precisely what you had tried to shield her from and it stung to realize it was too late. The damage had already been done.
Your attention was then pulled away as the creaking door to the tavern swung open. The room fell into silence. The dining Illyrians, previously immersed in their conversations, cast furtive glances toward the entrance.
In stepped the formidable son of Ironcrest’s war-lord, Kallon. Another Illyrian stepped in behind him but he was overshadowed by Kallon’s commanding presence. His gaze swept over the room, eyes like steel, assessing every face, every corner of the establishment. The tension in the air was palpable. He was looking for someone.
The regulars exchanged subtle nods, acknowledging the unspoken command to show respect. Whispers died down, and the muted sound of footsteps echoed as he advanced further into the tavern. The atmosphere had shifted from one of amiability to one of quiet deference, all eyes now focused on the figure who seemed to hold the establishment in the palm of his hand.
Your eyes were wide and you felt your body tense. You almost forgot how to breathe when Kallon’s cold eyes found yours. Seraphine, who sensed your distress, hopped off her chair and ran to you. Her tiny hand found yours and you guided her to stand behind you as Kallon continued his approach.
“Kallon,” you managed to find your voice, forcing a smile onto your face as you bowed your head in respect. “Should I prepare a table for you and your companion?”
“There’s no need.” He replied. He then turned his head at the eavesdropping Illryians, his gaze a silent warning to them. It wasn’t until the menacing look on his face prompted a couple to abandon their tables and those that remained to resume their conversations that he turned his attention back to you. “I came here to speak to you.”
“Me?” You echoed, your voice daring to break. The male behind Kallon remained quiet but you caught the way his gaze had flickered to your little sister, who hid behind your skirts. “To what do I owe this pleasure?”
“It has come to my attention that you have been fraternizing with an Illyrian male from Windhaven–” Kallon’s lips curled up in disgust and you felt Seraphine’s grip on you tighten. “– who just so happens to also be the High Lord’s general.”
“His name is Cassian.” Seraphine said, peeking out from behind you to scowl at Kallon.
Kallon looked toward your sister with a scoff. You pressed Seraphine into your hip to keep her from speaking again, worried of the consequences that may unfold. “He’s just a friend.”
Kallon’s attention drifted back to you, his gaze burning into you. “It seems you and I have different understandings of a friend because friends don’t kiss each other now do they?”
Your breath hitched. The two of you seldom interacted with each other. The last time you did was to report your mother’s murder. You cursed yourself at that moment, disappointed with yourself. You had failed to recognize that Cassian was well known throughout Illyria and to make it worse, he was from Windhaven. A rival camp to Ironcrest. You wondered how long Kallon had been following you and why he waited to confront you about it now, several months later since Cassian’s first visit.
“I–”
“It’s not a good look for you, y/n.” Kallon shook his head in disapproval with a small tut. “You of all people should know the consequences of whoring yourself out. Finding a husband will be troublesome for you and if you continue down this path, it is not a good example for your dear little sister.”
Your blood grew cold at the insult and you forced yourself to look up to keep the tears that were threatening to spill at bay. “I’m s–”
“It seems I may have failed you in some aspects.” Kallon interrupted, raising a finger at you in warning. He turned his attention to the empty glasses lined at the counter. “It is my job, after all, to help my father run this camp and it seems that I have overlooked you. Poor little y/n. You have been running this business and raising your sister all on your own.”
His fingers danced along the counter, a wicked gleam in his eyes. The sound of breaking glass echoed through the air, a sharp and crystalline shatter that reverberated through your bones and had Seraphine wincing into your body. You stared at the shattered glass at your feet, heart pounding through your ears.
“But it is not your place to do so.” Kallon reprimanded, his voice seething with a barely contained intensity. “It is his.”
You lifted your gaze.
The Illyrian male that had been quietly observant finally stepped forward. His features held a strange familiarity you couldn’t quite place. His eyes were cold and distant, lips pressed into a taut line.
“This is Aerik. Seraphine’s uncle.”
**
The wind was knocked out of you as the day you had dreaded finally came. Kallon had tracked down your step father’s only living relative– his brother, Aerik. The illusion you had so carefully crafted was unraveling and you found yourself at the precipice, forced to surrender the tavern and Seraphine, as if she were a mere object, to him.
But you knew the future that laid ahead for Seraphine if she stayed with her uncle. To you, she was your precious little sister, the one you had devoted your life to. To him, she was disposable, reduced to nothing but a bargaining tool once she was of marrying age.
She would not have the freedom to be a child as she did with you. She would be groomed to become a submissive wife and soon enough, her wings would be clipped. A tradition that had been banned but not enforced in Ironcrest. You could not allow any harm to fall to your sister, not when you were alive and capable of taking care of her. You wondered if this is how your mother had felt when she had you, cornered by the cruel world.
Kallon had left moments ago, along with the remaining customers, but now without a warning. A threat to harm you and Cassian in unimaginable ways if Kallon heard of Cassian meeting with you again.
"I don't give a fuck if he's the High Lord's pet. This is my father's camp and as his son, I have the authority to punish those who dare cross us as needed."
You had instructed Seraphine to go to the kitchens to help tidy up, leaving you and Aerik alone. Your eyebrows knitted together in an exasperated manner, bewildered by his demands.
You were a half breed–half high fae, half Illyrian–and a bastard. You were of little significance to Aerik–to any male in this damned camp, if you were being honest–and his plans with Seraphine did not include you. He wanted to take her away from you. For good.
He shifted, directing himself toward the kitchen and you were stopping him. Your hand gripped his arm desperately. “Seraphine needs me.”
Aerik tore his arm from your grasp with a snarl, using it to grip yours instead in retribution. His grip was hard and bruising and had you grimacing. “Is this what she needs?” He seethed, vividly gesturing to the tavern and lack of order in Seraphine’s life.
“It seems clear to me that you need her a lot more than she needs you.”
**
Cassian told himself he would give you space, as tortuous as it was for him. It’s what you had asked him for. He missed you dearly, often wondering if you were feeling that painful ache in your heart too. Despite the temptation, he resisted the urge to ask Azriel to check in on you with his shadows, not wanting to bring his friend into this tangled messy emotions he found himself grappling with. He couldn’t shake the desire to check up on you one more time, hoping that you might've change your mind.
A week later, when an overwhelming sense of unease gripped him, he set off for Ironcrest.
Cassian pushed open the door to the familiar tavern, his second home as Rhysand had teased him weeks ago. His eyes scanned the room in search of you like they always did, but he couldn't spot the one person he was hoping to see. His head was then turning to the table Seraphine often occupied only to find it empty.
An unsettling feeling knotted in his stomach when he couldn’t spot either of you, not missing the glare the male behind the counter had sent his way. It confirmed his suspicion that you weren’t here. Growing concerned, he decided to look for you, hoping you were safe and sound at home.
The journey was swift as it was one he knew by heart, his footsteps echoing through the quiet streets. When he reached your door, he hesitated for a moment. He could see the subtle glow of a light, coming from the small window that he knew faced your living room. He heard a squeak come from inside, recognizing it as Seraphine’s, and then he was knocking on your door.
There was a faint rustling inside and then the door creaked open. Cassian’s confusion set in as he initially saw no one at the other side. It wasn’t until he heard a sharp gasp that his gaze shifted downward, relief washing over him as he spotted Seraphine.
“Cas Cas!” Seraphine’s expression brightened, reveling in his presence and wrapping her tiny arms around him when he crouched down. “I thought I’d never see you again!”
“It’s good to see you too, munchkin.” Cassian smiled fondly, lifting her up with ease. He had missed her so much too.
“Sera, it’s time for your ba–Cassian?” You blinked, your grip on the towel in your hand tightening. “You shouldn’t be here.”
“Can I come in?”
You looked past his shoulders worriedly and hesitantly nodded.
Cassian stepped into the foyer, crouching down to let Seraphine down. She grasped at his hand, guiding him to the living room where you stood with a forced smile on your face.
His worry deepened as he looked at you. "You weren’t at the tavern so I came to–to see you.”
To make sure you’re alright, is what he wanted to say but within seconds of seeing you, he knew you weren’t. Yet, you still attempted to dismiss his concern with a casual shrug. “My step-uncle is taking over the tavern now.”
“Oh yeah, Cas! I have a step-uncle now and he’s so nice to me. He bought me a new coloring book and so many toys! Do you want to see?”
Cassian realized that the glaring male from the tavern must be Seraphine’s step-uncle. He caught the way you bit the inside of your cheek at your little sister’s words, sensing something more beneath the surface.
“Sure.” He replied to Seraphine.
He waited until she disappeared down the hallway to take a step closer to you. “Is everything okay?”
A fleeting moment of hesitation flickered in your eyes that you quickly concealed, hoping he didn’t notice. But he did.
"I'm fine, really. Just a bit tired but thankfully Aerik offered to step in to help.”
Despite her attempt to reassure him, Cassian couldn't shake the feeling of unease. The lines of worry etched on his face as he spoke, "You can tell me anything, you know that, right?"
“Yeah,” you nodded your head nonchalantly at him.
“Y/n.” His voice was gentle but stern and he reached out for your hands.
His fingers accidentally brushed against the bruise Aerik had left the other night and you couldn’t mask the wince that followed. Cassian stilled, eyes glancing down and widening at the marking of your skin. “Y/n, Sweetheart–”
“It’s nothing.” You were pulling your arm from his grasp and out of his view, clasping them behind your back. “I tripped and hit my arm against the counter the other night.”
Cassian felt a burning feeling in his chest, his teeth clenching. Someone had touched you--hurt you.
“Does this have anything to do with the sudden appearance of Seraphine’s uncle?”
“No.” Your response was too quick to be anything but a lie. “Aerik has been kind to us. So kind that he offered to help me find a husband.”
More lies. Your fear and anxiety grew with every passing moment that Cassian remained in Ironcrest. Kallon’s menacing warnings echoed in your mind, threatening dire consequences for both you and Cassian, if he ever returned. Since he had gone to the tavern to look for you, you were sure Aerik had seen him. Cassian was not one to easily blend into the crowd with his imposing stature, striking features and seven siphons. It was only a matter of time before he would run off to go tell Kallon.
You knew Cassian was a formidable warrior from all the gossip and tales you'd heard at the bonfire. Still, you couldn't shake your fear. Cassian was in enemy territory. Vastly outnumbered. He had to leave.
Cassian shook his head in disbelief, swallowing hard. “What?”
Stepping forward, he closed the distance between you, his intense gaze burning into your skin as you actively avoided it. “Is this what you want?”
“It’s what is best,” you told him, sidestepping his question. “So please leave. I don’t want Aerik to get the wrong idea by having you here in the house alone with me.”
“Y/N–”
“I’m so sorry, Cassian.”
Walking away, you felt your heart begin to shatter, unaware that you had also shattered his. You wiped at your eyes once you knew you were out of his view, holding your breath as you moved down the hallway. Seraphine ran past you with her coloring book and you couldn’t bring yourself to stop her.
Seraphine paused, her chest heaving as she caught up with her breath. Her lips curved into a deep frown when she spotted Cassian heading for the door. “Cas Cas, where are you going? I was going to show you my coloring book…"
"I thought you were here to stay.”
Cassian couldn’t bring himself to answer her and as young as she was, she recognized the look in his eyes. It mirrored the expression on your face before you had to deliver bad news.
“You can leave again if you want.” Seraphine said as realization dawned on her. She casted her head down.
“I’ll remember you though. I remember everyone that leaves.”

A/N: don't hate me for breaking Cas's heart. I just live for the angst 🫠 if it's any consolation, this will have a happy ending 🩷

Mama, I killed Adam! Angelic knife to his back Mama life’s just begun~
Alastor grunted lowly as he entered the east parlor of the hotel. He could feel Lucifer’s eyes boring into the back of his skull. Across from Lucifer sat Heaven’s delegation lead by a man only two inches taller than Lucifer with brown hair but the same agitating face.
“Wow, talk about a pretty face,” Michael giggled. “Too bad about those, 8, 10?, murders. Heaven would have had a field day with you, handsome.”
“Michael, brother dear, is please refrain from flirting with the busboy,” Lucifer ground out, with a pout
“It was 15 murders actually,” Alastor spoke as he lowered himself into a chair watching as the other elder Seraphim flinch at his admission. “They tasted lovely once I turned them into andouille and boudin.”
“You’re not feeding us that are you?” Lucifer asked.
“Of course not, my King!” Alastor’s grin turned feral. “Don’t worry you pretty little head! I respect our dear Charlie too much to soil her palate that way, but I can give you a taste if you like.”
“Oooh kinky!” Michael chirped.
“Michael, sir, please!” Sera hissed.
“but it is!” Michael whined.
“Your saintliness ain’t so bad,” Angel grinned.
“Not so bad your self, doll!” Michael flirted back.
“Michael, please!” Sera hissed.
“ALASTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
“That would be my cue to leave,” Alastor chuckled only to fall back down into his chair by a yank at his neck.
“Where do you think you’re going?” A purple snake demoness with heart patterns down her tail marched into the parlor, heels clicking, blue hair wild. “I told you to watch over Lucifer and Charlotte, not get killed fighting my stupid ex husband, who’s here now! Hi, Luci. Now get your skinny ass over here so I can fix you again!”
“EVE?!” Lucifer asked, then whipped around to Alastor. “You sold your soul to Eve?!”
“Hush! Do you know how stubborn this man is? Had to make a damn deal to let me heal him seven years ago and to make him rest!” Eve hissed and poked at Alastor’s face. “Asked me to stitch that smile to his face too!”
“Hey, girl!” Michael grinned. “How are the boys?”
“Michael! They’re good, invested in something call the Immediate Murder Professionals? It’s going well!”
“Abel and Cain are invested in I.M.P.?!” Sera gasped and the groaned.
“This has been so productive! When do I get to meet Lottie?”Michael asked. “Dad and I have a present for her!”

I had an idea Emily a human finds an old werid book that can apparently summon demons. She finds one reads the thing in her five year old voice and asks for a mommy or something due to whatever sad reason that leaves her with only Sera. The book grabs the first demon on hand who fits the description and gets Carmilla. Será walks in freaks out that a demon is in her house but eventually gets over it. Carmilla eventually gets back to hell and Sera takes the book away from Emily who keeps stealing it back and summoning Carmilla every once and a while. Once she asks for a friend and kid Charlie shows up.
I'm sorry, but this immediately made me think of that scene in Lilo and Stitch where Lilo is praying, "Send me an angel. The nicest angel you have!" Then she gets Stitch.
Emily wants a mommy, but instead she gets one of the most powerful, ruthless demons in all of Hell, who very much has the hots for her older sister. Sera won't admit it, but once she takes the book away from Emily, she keeps summoning Carmilla in secret, just for...reasons. Not-child-friendly ones. 👀👀
Emily gets the book back eventually, when Sera is distracted with her new "friend", and now she wishes for a different friend, because her older sister stole the new mommy she summoned last time. Charlie shows up, and the two are just causing absolute chaos in Sera's home. Making an absolute mess. Carmilla recognizes Charlie and grabs her up immediately, saying something like, "What are you doing here?!" And Charlie just points at Emily like, "She brought me here!"
Carmilla has to wait until the summoning spell wears off to return Charlie to Lucifer, who's been panicking all day looking for his daughter. But Charlie keeps wanting to go back with Carmilla every time she gets summoned, so her "visits" with Sera also turn into little play dates for her and Emily. Lucifer doesn't like it, but what can he do? It's not like he can grab Charlie and stop her from getting summoned! These powers are out of his hands. He just has to trust that Carmilla will keep her safe in the human world.
Carmilla does, around all the personal time she's sharing with Sera. Emily and Charlie keep themselves busy on their own, though, thank Heaven. At least they're not tearing up the house now.
