I'm by no means an Ilia hater. He's a fantastic athlete. I'm not big on his programs this year specifically (short is a bit boring and the free feels more like an exhibition), but I've enjoyed the ones he had the past two seasons before (Succession and Malagueña were particularly strong).

But, and I will not deny this at this point, damn does watching him make me miss Nathan so much.

#nathan's controlled skating #the precision in which he executed his choreo #and just the language of movement #he was never flailing #even in his 'fun' choreo sequences #it was always much more difficult than he made it look #the admiration he had for ice dancers and the insistence he had for training with them for weeks on end every year #his hands and his pointed toes #he had the jumps but he also had that #you see a step sequence like caravan and the skill it takes to be deliberately off kilter and off balance there #it's not something you really see acknowledged #it's no wonder king of step sequences kurt browning was so in love with his skating #that's a trained ballet dancer for you #such a gifted athlete and people reduced him to quads and ugly shirts (and ok yeah the shirts are pretty ugly but still)#rn i am clinging onto yuma because i truly believe he is the best skater in the world #(my preferred chaos child is of course kao 😂)

oh cool !! no idea how that would work, since the medium of a comic is so tied to the original work, and i think putting millions of dollars into a movie is kind of,,,, not necessary,,, not everything has to be a movie... but go off i guess

also picked up some ultrama.n nexus recently \o/ it's very interesting, but it's kind of funny watching while following arc's broadcast

#megarez text #back when mister hasegawa was announced for gotcha i tried watching some because it was mentioned in an interview #i probably mentioned it at the time but the early strong atmosphere of disorientation and motifs of manipulation/loss of self are curious #like... as well; those feelings of successive/resounding defeat or the considerable presence of injury it cultivates 💭#the visual gestures and sequences to articulate them are so cool..!! i like it!!!#at the time i was particularly interested in reading it with hasegawa's work in the sanjou-headed rider seasons #esp because geryon had just appeared then in gotchard and i kind of had my eye out for like #narrative movements on family/mentorship and harm through those sorts of connections (the sonozaki family and gold drive etc)#it's truly really fun on its own though ❤️ i've hit one of miss ota's parts of the show so i'm really!! excited to see her work!! :0c

FINALLY started titanfall 2, the movement will take a little getting used to but i'm pleased to find it's way easier to pull off than i thought it would be, the ghost runner is so helpful and i like the game's clever ways of giving you Cool Badass Moments very organically.

#ignore me #i'm very early in - sewage treatment plant section pre-cain fight #i got swarmed by the ticks and megaexploded for the first time and went 'ooo this is gonna be annoying. im gonna stop for a bit'#i'm having a bit of trouble orienting myself and keeping track of my surroundings but that's how i am in Every Game i get lost super easy #and the very minimal hud/quest tracker is nice and unobtrusive but also aids me in getting lost a bit #not too much though! i get turned around a little and then i figure it out #they're good at signposting your path pretty clearly with lighting & such so i can get back on track easy #a lot of the weapons feel VERY good to use too #probably my favorite moment so far is coming back from grabbing the first battery to find the imc guys around bt #and theyre talking about scrapping and selling him and i was sneaking up stealthy #and one of them says something like 'you'll say something different when the pilot has a gun to your head'#and i was like aha! my cue! and promptly landed a headshot on All Of Them in sequence which felt SO GOOD #so my review is 10000/10 good fucking game i'm bad at it but it's great #for context i have always been hesitant about platformers/games that require you to Be Creative about Movement #bc i was traumatized in my early years by fancy pants adventure 2 NO IM NOT KIDDING #I NEVER FIGURED OUT WALL JUMPS AND I FELT BAD ABOUT IT FOR AGES AND I DO STILL THINK ABOUT IT AND GET SAD

bro faith (horror game) is so good wtfff

#was listening to Markiplier play it while i was drawing #but the quality??? amazing #it's like a retro game the animation is so static but the key parts in the game that needs more storytelling has rotoscoping animation #its so addicting to watch despite how horrifying it appears #especially that SPIDER WALKING FUCKER but nonetheless its AMAZING #that ending where father garcias has a LOADED SHOTGUN IS SO BADASS #the animation reminds me of ghost trick so much i love it when people makes a game in pixels but has the capability to animate so smoothly #also the juxtaposition of the static movement and making smooth animations in the most terrifying sequence really does so well in trying to #freak you the fuck out like when amy climbs to the bed... SO GOOD #IVE BEEN CURIOUS ABT IT FOR SO LONG AND NOW I GET IT ITS SO GOODD #~ rambling #i swear someone yelling at the spider demon thing PENDEJO is so fucking funny what the fuck KSJRHSJEHJAJEJ
