Earlier this evening, the neighbor across the street put up this tRump flag. It was hard to miss because when looking out our large, front, bay window, it's framed nearly dead center. Can't be missed.

I wondered why he put it on the side instead of displaying it on the front of the house. Well, that side faces the street that gets much more traffic. Relatively speaking.

I suppose he (they?) wanted to ensure as many people as possible know where they stand. Know their thoughts on babies in cages, brown and Black people, Native Americans,  LBGTQ, women, “useless” old people, poor people. That the only people who deserve full human rights are men who appear white enough, are in the tRump cult, and have enough money.

My opinion of the young, small, nuclear, "traditional" family changed immediately.

Not that I had a glowing opinion or anything, but I liked them well enough. Considered them “good” neighbors. We don’t bother them and they don’t bother us. We wave hello. They have a dog who is a very good boy. Their house is neat, tidy, and attractive. The grass is mowed regularly. Trimming is done. There are no junk cars, piles of rubbish, trash, and rotting garbage strewn about the place. The trash cans are put out the day before Trash Day, and believe it or not, they put their trash cans away! The same day the trash is picked up!

My decision nine years ago to avoid getting chummy with the neighbors was reaffirmed. My decision to not display my political leanings on my house or my vehicle has also been reaffirmed. I’m surrounded by tRump cultists here in PA. It wasn’t a thought or an issue when we moved here in 2011. Things are very different now. I don’t want to be accosted at the grocery store or while driving. I don’t want my truck keyed or the windows smashed. I don’t want to be harassed at home, have my house vandalized, or my pets threatened. I am a chickenshit and want to be left alone. I’ve helped neighbors when they needed it. Now I will be more likely to give that impulse a second thought when it comes to them. Because now I know what they think of me--the old, useless woman.

September 21, 2020 (yesterday)

-Taught 2 VIPKid classes

-Drank some preworkout and did a Shine Dance Fitness video :)

-Napped until noon

-Back to cosmetology school for the first time in over a week (because of the hurricane). Today it was all about PERMS! We rolled it, then actually used the chemicals on it this time. I’m very happy with my results :) The key is to just follow the manufacturer’s instructions & then to style, diffuse with a blow dryer on COLD after using a styling mousse.

-Then we learned that we’ll be getting more products! This time they’ll be from Redken (last time it was Kenra). I’m so excited to play with new hair products :) we should be getting the products today.

-I also did 3 updo/half-updo styles that I’m pretty pleased with. Overall it was a good day of school :)

-I’m also proud of myself for working out today & staying under my calorie goal for the day! Big win!
