Seokjin shuts the door behind him, slips off his shoes, and removes his coat, oblivious to the music playing softly in the background and the dimmed lights. It’s only when the delicious aroma of food wafts through the air hitting him in the nose that he realizes he isn't alone. 

As he steps into the kitchen, he’s delighted to see his girlfriend, who has been away for work, busy preparing a meal. For a moment he'd been worried one of the guys had broken into his apartment, but the sight of Y/N, with her hair tied up in a messy bun and an apron tied around her waist, instantly dispels any lingering worry.  

He moves closer, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind and resting his chin on her shoulder. "You’re back!” he exclaims, a big smile lighting up his face. "I thought you wouldn’t be home for another two days."  

"And miss your birthday? The project got postponed so I have a few days before I have to go back. I didn't tell you because I wanted to surprise you," she smiles turning her head to place a kiss on his cheek. "Happy Birthday, my love." 

"Thank you," he smiles, returning her kiss. “What are you making?” he asks, curiosity piqued as he glances over her shoulder at the ingredients spread out on the counter. 

“Your favorite,” she replies, her voice laced with excitement. “I know you've been super busy lately so I wanted to surprise you with a homemade meal. I hope you’re hungry.” 

“Always,” he grins, his stomach rumbling in agreement. He lets her go and goes to set the table only to find it already set with a bouquet of flowers and some gift boxes. "Is this all for me?" 

"Who else would it be for?" she asks, turning off the stove and starts dishing up the food.  

"How did I get so lucky?" He asks taking a seat. 

"Honestly, I ask myself that every day," she admits, bringing the food to the table. 

After she places the food on the table, Jin pulls her on to his lap, placing a soft kiss to her lips. "I love you.'' 

''I love you too,'' she replies, returning his kiss.

Jin: Doesn't really need sleep since he's a vampire, but when he does, it's neatly tucked in bed or literally hanging upside-down from the clothes rack in the closet. Will get bored after a couple hours and accidentally wake you up playing video games.

7/10 just keep the yelling to a minimum pls

Yoongi: Sleeps in 45 min - 2 hour increments(hello neurodivergence), accidentally wakes you up everytime he gets up and flops on top of you when he comes back. Doesn't snore that much, but when he does, it's right by your ear.

6/10 exactly like sharing a bed with a cat

Hobi: Doesn't sleep, he's too busy working on 5 thousand different projects. If you do manage to pin him down to sleep, it's in weirdest positions. He also kicks in his sleep.

6/10 for risk of bodily harm

Namjoon: Claims he's not a cuddler, then catches you in vice grip that you can never escape. Gets annoyed if you make any sound during the night, even though his snoring sounds like an angry buzz saw.

5/10 might sleep in a different room tbh

Jimin: Sleeps curled into a ball like a cat. Either hoards all the blankets or will share but then sleeps practically on top of you for warmth. Sounds like Spongebob when he snores.

8/10 honestly not that bad imo

Taehyung: Overwhelmingly warm and cuddly. Like this is not a teddy bear, this is a grizzly in hibernation who insists on spooning. He also supposedly talks in his sleep? So good luck with that.

6/10 for heat stroke risk

Jungkook: Sleeps spread eagle over 3 mattresses on the floor, so there's technically plenty of space, but there's no sheets or pillows, so you're using your coat and a rolled up towel. He also snores. And kicks.

4.5/10 byob(bring your own bedding)

"where are you off to in such a hurry?" the owner of the sleepy, dreamy voice encircles your wrist with his fingers, and you glance towards the man buried in the pillow with a soft smile.

"i'm in no hurry, i'm getting up. and it wouldn't hurt if you did as well." with your free hand you untangle the other's comforting fingertips from your skin.

as a response, seokjin merely yawns, creeping closer to you, his spouse, under the blanket as clear evidence that he won't take the advice.

he folds his arms around your bare waist, pulling you back onto the pillow with him, and you shake with gentle laughter and allow him to force you into the duvet of your bed.

"are you satisfied now?" you nudge his shoulder, a playful edge in your voice, as his soft lips touch yours.

"i couldn't be happier. you're lying in my bed completely naked, and i've even ringed you. life is good."

you laugh, bury yourself in his embrace, the nice, warm, flushed body heat, and close your eyes, stroking seokjin's side.

life is good indeed.

[4:48 pm] another picture ticks in on jungkook’s phone. it’s been a couple of hours since the meeting he was in when you sent the first ones. he huffs out a dry, chuckle of disbelief when he opens the text from you, the picture you sent him not what he expected – instead of a teasing lingerie picture, it’s a selfie of you, sitting on his couch. the picture is taken from above, your head resting on the back of the couch as you smile cutely at the camera.

‘waiting for you ... <3′ is what the text says.

jungkook smiles to himself, too distracted by your pretty face to hear a single word of what seokjin says. it isn’t until seokjin snaps his fingers over jungkook’s desk to catch his attention that jungkook tears his gaze from his phone to the man sitting across from him. seokjin arches an eyebrow at jungkook, waiting patiently for an explanation.

“stop smiling at your phone like that,” seokjin huffs when jungkook doesn’t elaborate. he leans back in his seat while staring at jungkook with a disturbed expression. “it’s creeping me out.”

“sorry,” jungkook chuckles, hitting send to the reply he typed out for you before putting his phone down on top of his desk.

seokjin looks confused and slightly baffled when jungkook returns his full attention to him. “who’s texting you?”

“uh...” jungkook begins, pursing his lips before continuing, the word that leaves his mouth sounding unusual coming from him. “my girlfriend...?”

seokjin’s eyes widen, “your girlfriend?”

jungkook nods.

“since when?”

jungkook shrugs, “a few months ago i think.”

“you think?” seokjin blinks at jungkook.

“yeah, we’re not really keeping track…” jungkook admits and shrugs again, not really thinking much of it. neither of you have been keeping track of how long you’ve been seeing each other. it’s been at least a few months but jungkook really isn’t sure.

“what- why- I can’t believe you have a girlfriend!”

jungkook watches as the gears turn in his older friend’s head, desperately trying to comprehend this new information. he doesn’t blame him for being shocked. ‘girlfriend’ has never been a word in jungkook’s vocabulary but truth be told, he never planned for this to happen.

it just did.

and he would be lying if he said he didn’t enjoy the fact that he has a girlfriend now.

“you’ve been dating this girl for months and you didn’t even tell me! what the hell is wrong with you, jungkook?”

seokjin is offended and jungkook finds it amusing, a lazy grin spreading upon his lips as he leans back in his office chair and kicks his feet up. seokjin is married with kids and doesn’t have an ounce of gossip nor drama in his life so the least he expects from his friends is for them to tell him about their scandalous love lives. but it seems jungkook is settling and seokjin can’t believe his own ears.

“well?” seokjin presses, “who is she?”

jungkook’s eyes glance to his phone where a new text from you pops up, your name and the emojis you put after your contact name centered on his screen. he leaves it for now though as his long-time friend is desperately waiting for answers on the other side of the desk. and so jungkook sighs and brings a hand up to run it through his hair.

“it’s, um… well, it’s ____.”

seokjin’s lips part as he gapes at jungkook, always the dramatic one when it comes to reactions.

“____ as in your boss’ daughter, ____?”

jungkook presses his lips together and nods, “that’d be her.”

“damn…”

“it’s really not a big deal-“ jungkook then starts but seokjin soon interrupts.

“not a big deal?” he scoffs, “you’ve been living the single life for years but now you have a girlfriend and you call it ‘no big deal’? this is HUGE.”

another sigh leaves jungkook as he rolls his eyes heavenward at his friend’s dramatic response. like jungkook said, it’s not that big of a deal. besides, your father doesn’t know yet. the only person jungkook has told is seokjin just now and he’s going to keep it that way until the two of you have agreed on telling your father. until then, you and jungkook will keep it under the radar for everyone’s sake.

“hey, listen- ____’s dad doesn’t know yet so promise me you won’t go blabbering about it before we get the chance to tell him.”

seokjin furrows his brows, “I don’t blab-“

“dude, you do nothing but blab-“ jungkook scoffs.

“true…” seokjin sighs.

BPP, I was having a conversation with a friend the other day and we were going through the strengths and weaknesses (I am loosely using the word weakness but it’s more items they need to work or improve on) of each member and how because of this, BTS works and if any one member were to leave, it wouldn’t work anymore. In your view (and you may have already talked about this before but indulge me please), what are the strengths and weaknesses of each member?

We'd be here all day if we listed out their weaknesses and vices cause lord knows they've got bucketloads.

Most people who spend hours watching the guys (aka the fandom), already know the many weaknesses and strengths of each member given how open the tannies are about showing it/talking about it. What makes your ask (and this topic) interesting IMO, is that what I might see as a weakness another person could see as a strength.

Take for example, Jin and his famed dancing ability.

That man is no dancer, but it's beyond obvious that he works hard to match pace. Jimin who is the best dancer in BTS, has mentioned several times that Jin puts in the work in the practice room. Jimin has said he feels the description of "working the hardest" actually fits more with Jin than with himself. Yoongi and RM commended Jin for being the most consistent and that seeing the effort Jin puts in inspires them to work just as hard. (source timestamp: 36:00 - 37:55).

Also, choreographies of groups where every member is an S-tier dancer often struggle with clumping. Clumping in choreography is a way to center or concentrate energy to a focal point as a way to build anticipation and heighten the enjoyment of the audience. But for it to work you need a clear concentration of energy in the formation and that can't work if everyone is at the same skill level. In this way, 3J (and more recently Tae) works symbiotically with the Hyung line to give BTS choreographies that added oomph. So really, Jin's dancing ability is a weakness on paper, but in reality it's a strength for the team.

In general, BTS is a bit unique among k-pop groups because it is precisely their weaknesses, more than their strengths, that makes the group work. At least in my opinion.

God I'm already rambling so I'll just rattle off a few more.

Strength: ego, language ability, appreciation of beauty & excellence, rap skill, capacity for rage

Seokjin

Weakness: dancing ability, stubborn

Strength: consistency, singing ability, prudence

Strength: ego, tongue length & flexibility, eyes of such deep molten beautiful chocolate you can't help but sink into them, capacity for love, rap skill, big dick, pretty pink knees, probably smells like citrus

Hoseok

Weakness: rigid

Strength: self-regulation, dancing ability, rap skill, stamina

Jimin

Weakness: singing ability, quixotic

Strength: singing ability, kindness, social intelligence, bravery, dancing ability, stamina, theatrical flair

Taehyung

Weakness: tactless

Strength: singing ability, perspective, perseverance

Jung Kook

Weakness: hedonistic, possessive
