"i  am."  joonwoo  lies  through  his  teeth,  but  the  truth  is  he  doesn't  have  the  perfect  answer.  "it's  not  you,  i  swear."  he  supposes  it  is  one  of  the  possibilities  that  he  should  have  acknowledged  when  he  signed  up  for  the  show,  that  he  might  end  up  falling  for  more  than  one  person.  "it's  just  been  a  while  since  i  let  myself  feel  things  like  this."  his  demanding  schedule  as  an  athlete  doesn't  leave  much  room  for  a  thriving  private  life,  to  say  the  least.  "and  i  do...  like  you  a  lot."

episode 14… i have my trusty little episode 14 recap next to me so i can be sure to get everything that i wanted to talk about hehe. first, i love how confident jugyeong got! like go girl! the way she didn’t wear makeup to school and then told everyone that her and suho were dating!! woohoo!! and poor joon woo *pout* don’t break up with her if you can’t even survive a couple days without her 🥺and stupid soojin. please… and to think that i actually liked her in the beginning. i’m really proud of sooah for standing up for jugyeong in the bathroom. and that sooah x jugyeong scene in the basketball court… we love a healthy friendship! and then the seojun and juyoung part where juyoung cries to seojun and seojun knows exactly how juyoung feels… like my poor team seojun heart.. 🥺 honestly i feel so bad for seojun, but i think what he wants to do is good? valid? like how he wants to confess to jugyeong in order to move on. the music room part where he was watching jugyeong sleep was heartbreaking. and then he tells her that she doesn’t look that different with and without makeup 🥺

okay imma respond to this in parts so i can focus on each paragraph... jugyeong’s confidence...i want that. her friendship with sooah? i want that too T~T joonwoo is too pure for his own good protect his poor soul... but the seojun and juyong scene ouch my poor heart :( seojun is just the nicest lil bean #hanseojunprotectionsquad is a go. and juyong :( i love his character development tho... gowoon give him a chance pls

my favorite part this episode was the jugyeong, sooah, and hyemin fight with those girl. like hyemin is so sweet and i hope these three can be best friends now. and the thing that taehoon says to suho that he’s being clingy and jugyeong won’t like that… i feel like that’s really wrong. like even jugyeong likes it. like in the beginning of a relationship, that’s normal and adorable. oh oh and i love the seojun and suho friendship at that place (what is it called omg) like please you can’t tell me that wasn’t cute? and seojun singing 🤩🥰

omg yes!! hyemin’s character development is great too; also lowkey happy she has speaking lines now. their fight mixed in with the cuts from the video game was hilarious tho i loved it <3 idk much about the clinginess part so idk whether to agree with taehoon or not but i was too focused on the taehoon x suho dynamic. they’re hilarious :D and the suho x seojun scene in the dojo (is that the one you’re thinking of?) where they fought and then went out for food... they’re the cutest. i’m so happy they put aside their differences.

(im sorry i literally keep jumping around with what happened this episode ahh) is it bad if i still feel a little bad for soojin because of what her dad does to her? but i’m still super glad that everyone found out that soojin betrayed jugyeong. like good! and then jugyeong tried to rekindle their friendship and i felt like soojin wanted to too, but she kept up her guard and got upset at jugyeong. and then she cried. i think there’s something more to how soojin is acting and why she’s acting that way. of course, i still hate her.

it’s okay! jump around as much as you want :) i feel bad for her too... soojin should leave her dad... he’s an abusive asshole who has no right being a doctor >:( but yeah i’m glad soojin got her retribution. she deserves it for acting the way she did, but the girl needs serious therapy.

that scene where jugyeong passes her written exam and hugs suho was absolutely adorable!! i definitelyyyyy did not screen record it because suho’s smile was absolutely adorable. i’m devastated oh my gosh 😭😭

THE THE SEOJUN CAFE OR WHATEVER PART WAS DEVASTATING!! jugyeong, i understand but i also don’t. how could you not know seojun likes you 😭and then there’s the suho and jugyeong date at the beach and farm (right? i was a farm, rightt?) and please. my heart is torn because jugyeong is so happy with suho, but seojun 🥺that place where jugyeong was on that swing… i want to go there! like that seems like so much fun!! definitely adding that to the places where i want to visit in the future!! but of course, like all cliche dramas, there’s always a happy part right before the sad part. i really really sense a second season because how can you add the seojun x jugyeong relationship and the seojun idol part in only 2 episodes? like i’d really rather them make another season instead of cramming everything and making it super rushed. the 2 years later part really hurt and made my team seojun heart happy. but that preview… what is happening 😭😭what did you think about this episode? and what do you think will happen? -seojun anon❣️

jugyeong’s innocence is so endearing but i don’t blame her for her cluelessness. like if your friend asked you for relationship advice, the last person you’d think they like is yourself, especially if you’re in a relationship already. but yeah the suho x jugyeong date was so cute (i think it was a farm too) and im highkey shipping them now but seojun </3 UGHHH how can anyone be 100% team suho or team seojun like how T~T

"i  never  said  that  it  is."  seojun  replies,  his  tone  defensive.  joonwoo  clasps  his  boyfriend's  hand  in  his  own,  his  eyes  shimmering  with  desperation  as  he  implores  seojun  to  understand.  "please,  i've  already  told  you  that  there's  nothing  between  us."  he  insists  —  or,  more  accurately,  that  there's  nothing  he  feels  for  the  fellow  athlete.  how  she  may  feel  is  beyond  his  control,  but  he's  made  it  explicitly  clear  that  maintaining  a  purely  professional  relationship  is  what's  best,  and  she's  agreed.

"and  there  won't  be."  joonwoo  promises,  his  voice  resolute  with  determination.  "it's  not  like  i  can  just  switch  partners  —  you  know  that's  entirely  out  of  my  control."  as  esteemed  as  he  is  as  an  athlete,  such  personnel  matters  are  governed  by  the  coaching  team  and  there's  no  way  they'd  allow  the  pair  to  split,  given  how  seamlessly  they  perform  together  on  the  skating  rink.

My thoughts belowwww

It was a sweet and funny drama. I liked the beginning and while Soojins' villain arc was a bit unnecessary I think the consequences pushed her to confront her own toxicity and homelife. I didn't like Suho in ep 15-16 purely cause I despise it when the love interest chases after the mc and keeps bothering her after she says no.

Lim Jukyung was a sweetheart and honestly should've gotten with Seojun in the end. Especially since unlike Suho, he respected her and was never an outright asshole. Jukyung was such a good mc. Clumsy to no end but I loved her and never found myself annoyed by her actions or decisions (apart from getting with Suho). Her relationship w her mom was tough to watch but I'm glad her mom realized how she was being to her.

Lee Suho was tolerable. He had his sweet moments and it's nice how he softened up overtime. The fact that he and Jukyung ended up not speaking for like a year or two after he went to the US seemed a little out of character. Also the fact he kept bothering her seemed out of character but then again he was pretty bothersome in high school.

Han Seojun was pretty cute. I was worried he'd be the annoying love interest who's borderline toxic but he was pretty respectful, kind, and while he did stir up things from time to time he only really wanted to bother Suho. He was a refreshing love interest and I wish he would've ended up with Soojin in the last ep.

Kang Soojin was great at first. Her backstory was sad and I'm glad she got away from her dad. Her villain arc was semi out of character but at the same time it wasn't. We saw her lash out at Suho once or twice when he got a better score. Like she said, it was about winning to her. I don't think she was mad at Jukyung (maybe disappointed) but I think she directed her anger at 'losing' towards her. While I think her redemption arc should've been onscreen, the show is about Jukyung so I get why we didn't see it. It was good to see her be regretful and apologize.

Lim Heekyung and Han Joonwoo stole the fucking show for me. They were the cutest couple and truly the embodiment of girlboss-malewife. Their wedding was chaotic and hilarious just like their relationship. Joonwoo was the sweetest character and Heekyung complimented him perfectly.

Choi Sooah and Yoo Taehoon were also an adorable couple. Their scenes together were always so sweet and cheesy. While breaking up and getting back together constantly means they're not exactly good for each other, they do seem genuinely in love with each other. They both seem like ride or dies for their friends as well. Sooahs friendship with Soojin was sweet and seeing them hug after not seeing each other for a while was nice. Taehoon and Suho being friends after Taehoon tried so hard to befriend him was adorable.

for a brief moment seojun feels bad for even bringing it up, like it's his fault that joonwoo feels the way he does- looks the way he does, all strained and startled. still trying to figure things out. huh. he rubs his palms into his eyes until stars prick his vision, thick brows furrowed into something ugly, he's sure. "are you okay ? " is all he can think to ask, looking at the ink on the other's chest rather than looking him in the eye. "do you need, like, space or-or is it just . . . what do you mean ? "

joonwoo  runs  his  fingers  through  his  hair,  his  features  noticeably  distressed  —  a  rare  sight  for  a  man  who  has  grown  to  be  so  self-assured.  "i  know  this  isn't  the  answer  you'd  want,  but  i'm  still  trying  to  figure  things  out."  he  tightens  his  lips  together,  unsure  how  to  put  his  thoughts  into  words  without  sounding  inconsiderate.  "there's  just  so  much  happening...  it's  a  lot  to  take  in  and  process."

"hm-hmm.  sounds  about  right."  joonwoo  nods  with  an  idiotic  grin,  while  they  both  know  he's  so  full  of  it.  though  seojun  is  evidently  infatuated  with  him,  joonwoo's  own  adoration  for  his  boyfriend  is  just  as  blatantly  unconfined.  even  though  he  loves  his  job  and  knows  that  few  have  the  fortune  to  pursue  their  passions,  the  distance  away  from  his  beloved  is  a  hard  part  to  swallow,  something  that  grows  increasingly  painful  as  their  attachment  deepens.  "no,  i  missed  you  the  most  —  i  thought  we're  already  past  that."  joonwoo  asserts,  his  tone  brooking  no  argument.  a  more  rational  person  would  tell  him  that  not  everything  is  a  competition,  but  he's  more  than  certain  of  the  truth  in  his  admission.

"have  i  not  earned  a  lifetime  pass  to  this  buffet?"  joonwoo  attempts  to  persuade  seojun  with  a  charming  smile  before  pressing  a  doting  kiss  on  the  man's  neck,  though  perhaps  not  much  persuasion  is  needed  in  the  first  place.  he  cannot  find  the  words  to  explain  it  well,  but  there's  something  magical  about  them  that  just  makes  things  fall  into  place  so  perfectly.  "it  does  sound  like  a  winning  view,  no  doubt."  he  chuckles,  nodding  in  agreement  before  a  groan  escapes  him  from  the  purposeful  friction  seojun  caused,  making  his  pants  tighten  to  a  torturous  degree.  it  doesn't  take  much  longer  for  his  eager  fingers  to  trail  down  and  remove  seojun's  jeans,  before  he  repositions  himself  between  the  man's  knees  with  his  own  on  the  floor.  working  seojun  up  with  knowing  fingers,  he  watches  his  lover  with  desires  and  fondness  as  little  sounds  stumble  from  seojun's  pretty  lips.  joonwoo's  movements  are  slow  and  deliberate,  his  gaze  never  leaving  seojun's  face  as  he  relishes  in  the  reactions  he's  eliciting.  there's  an  undeniable  tenderness  in  his  touch,  even  as  his  actions  grow  more  intimate  and  his  gaze  darkens  with  a  need  to  pleasure  him.
