Chapter 2: Intermission
Before Kim can take a step forward, Chay tosses his phone onto a pile of mats and falls into his own ready position. A loose-limbed ap seogi, one foot forward and his weight on his back heel, arms held in front of his hips with loose-curled fists. Only a training dummy standing between them keeps Kim from taking his own offensive action. His lip curls as he watches Chay take two steps to the side, no doubt lining the mannequin up with his own silhouette, before landing a sound kick to the center of the chest.

Mendalam pada Kuda-Kuda atau Seogi Penting bagi pemula untuk memahami kuda-kuda dalam taekwondo. Meskipun terlihat sederhana, langkah dan kuda-kuda menjadi kunci penting dalam pertandingan, membuat lawan kesulitan membaca serangan.
Menelusuri Serangan atau Kyongkyok Kisul Teknik serangan melibatkan pukulan, sabetan, tusukan, dan tendangan. Bab ini akan membahas variasi-variasi serangan yang dapat dipelajari oleh seorang praktisi taekwondo.
Mahir dalam Tangkisan atau Makki Gerakan tangkisan atau makki memiliki banyak variasi yang harus dikuasai. Artikel ini akan membahas berbagai teknik tangkisan, termasuk cara menangkis ke bawah, atas, dari dalam ke luar, dengan pisau tangan, dan dari luar ke dalam.
Sasaran pada Tubuh atau Keup So Setiap pemain taekwondo perlu memahami sasaran pada tubuh lawan. Bab ini akan menjelaskan bagaimana tubuh lawan memiliki nilai berbeda dan bagian mana yang boleh diserang sesuai aturan resmi.
Membawa Taekwondo ke Tingkat Berikutnya
Setelah memahami teknik dasar taekwondo, langkah selanjutnya adalah membawa kemampuan ini ke tingkat berikutnya. Bab ini akan membahas pentingnya latihan rutin, pengembangan teknik, dan partisipasi dalam kompetisi untuk menjadi seorang praktisi taekwondo yang lebih baik.

"Sammy! Seogi!"
"Aunty Jinmi!" "Mimi!"
The two boys came rushing towards Jinmi as she approached the packhouse, a laugh leaving her lips as they squished her into a hug. Sammy was almost at her shoulders, now eleven moons old and training to be a pack warrior like his father.
Seogi stood at Jinmi's thigh, hugging her leg tightly. The five year old missing his two front teeth, honey brown hair in a ponytail.
"Did you have a safe travel, Aunty Jinmi?" Sammy asked.
"It was fine, Sammy," Jinmi patted his head softly, "What happened to your teeth, Seogi?"
"I tripped down the stairs while chasing Maya,"
Jinmi tutted at the small boy, rubbing his cheek before they turned and rushed back to the packhouse. Visiting the pack was now a lot easier and with the blue moon ceremony being held on SM lands this year, they were free to visit.
"It's great to see you again, Jinmi," Sunmi greeted, waddling towards her with a pregnant belly.
"Pup number four?" Jinmi laughed and hugged her old pack mate.
The pack seemed to be thriving, a large number of children chasing each other around. Taeyong was cuddled up next his mate, Charlie, who was also pregnant. Luna and Jaehyun held a baby in their arms and even Yuta was holding a smaller pup close to himself.
A pair of hands slipped themselves around Jinmi's waist, making her look at her own mate. Seung gave her a soft smile, nudging her cheek softly with his nose.
"You know I would change my mind for you, if you ever wanted pups," He whispered.
"As much as I love seeing everyone's pups, I know it's not for us," Jinmi laced their fingers together, "We have the orphanage to look after,"
It was a small project for the both of them, children given up by humans who were wolves or abandoned pups were being raised in their pack.
"You can keep being Aunty Jinmi,"
"And you can keep being Uncle Seung,"

The first training session was spent at a tense impasse. First, after spending a good portion of it arguing over who deserved the room more—Chay, who has had the same reservation for nearly two years now, or Kim, who’s name is in the books—they fought over the music.
“I can’t practice like this!” Chay complained, resisting Kim’s classical music playlist. He had no appreciation for the fast-paced Etudes d'Execution Transcendante, nor the ominous swell and sharp crescendo of Faust’s Symphony.
“I’m sorry I don’t have anything that’s a simple sixty BPM for you to follow,” Kim snapped back, near to wrestling Chay for control of the room’s sound system. They haven’t come to contact yet, but Kim could feel it coming; they agreed to share the space for the next eight weeks, until Kim’s performance or his return to his own studio, whichever came first. Kim wasn’t entirely sure they would come out of the situation unscathed.
Especially if Chay kept going behind his back to change his damn music.
“Stop it!”
Chey grinned where he was tipped over his phone, having connected with bluetooth, somehow overriding Kim’s AUX cord. Pounding pop music vibrated out of the speakers, disrupting the careful flow of Kim’s routine halfway through. He dropped his arabesque and rested in fifth position naturally, arms raised to strangle the other man.
“If you don’t like it, leave,” Chay said sweetly. “It’s my room, remember?”

Yoongi's hybrid thought he was just as as cute as she thought he was. He'd pinch her cheeks and she'd kiss his. They were friends, maybe best friends at this point. The hybrid had lived in his apartment for 2 months now and he'd taken to working from much more often than before. Seojin leaned in his shoulder until she fell asleep or crawling under the covers of his bed when he worked in there and falling asleep.
Seojin would randomly kiss Yoongi's cheek all the time and he didn't mind. He thought it was cute. One day, when he's making breakfast for the two on a Saturday morning, Seojin comes into the kitchen while Yoongi is standing in front of the eggs cooking and she wraps her arms around his waist, the sudden contact causes him to look down at the girl, and her lips are on his for just a second as she gives him his usual peck on the cheek.
Seojin notices her mistake, and exclaims an "oh!", cheeks tinting pink. Yoongi however is frozen, thoughts racing. It'd be nice to kiss Seojin. Not only was the hybrid cute, but she was gorgeous. Not that he'd ever put a value on her, but he understood why her selling rates that she'd told him about were so high. Seojin was the most beautiful hybrid he'd ever seen.
Not only was Seojin beautiful, but she was funny. She told all kinds of jokes that may come across as bland to other, but he liked them, no matter how much he told her to stop. She {other mannerisms, yup}. He could see himself kissing Seojin.
"Sorr-eee." Seojin apologized, still leaning on the other. Yoongi did something rash. He pressed his lips against hers, quickly, no more than two seconds, before pulling away Seojin looked shocked for a moment, before a smile broke out on her face and she grabbed Yoongi's face, pulling it into hers to press their lips together once more.

DIAMOND BLOCK (금강 막기)
Hey! It’s me again. Seong Taehoon. Welcome to my blog collab. My guest today is a Karate dweeb.

At his suggestion, I’m going to teach everyone an advanced block, and he’s going to teach you an advanced Kyokushin kick. Disciples with colored belts, you can ignore this lesson for now. Look at it again when I start teaching you double hand block.
The block has two versions: WT-style and ITF-style. I've been teaching you the WT-styled Taekwondo for a while now, so I'm gonna keep it that way. Once I'm done with all the techniques on my list, I will consider asking dad for more ITF Taekwondo lessons.
Ok, enough yapping. Diamond block (geumgang makgi) is one of the highlights of Geumgang poomsae. The poomsae is taught for black belt second dan. It consists of the downward block (naeryeo makgi) and the upward block (eolgul makgi). The block is usually performed with the back stance (dwit kubi) or crane stance (hakdari seogi).
The block is used to deflect attacks to major points: the head and the groin. It is for fights against multiple opponents.
Just to make it clear. There are many more variations of the diamond block, including diamond body block (mostly in ITF, with upward block and outward inner wrist middle block), hand blade diamond block (same movements, only replace the fists with hand blades). Yes, not that complicated.
What I show you below is the standard crane stance-diamond block.
Step 1: Stand in back stance or crane stance.
Step 2: Remember the first hand position of the downward block? If not, check here. How about the upward block? Check again. Place the hand performing the downward block near your shoulder, and the hand performing the upward block around your waist.
Step 3: Start to move two hands at the same time, make sure to keep the hand doing the downward block inside and close to your body. The hand doing the upward block is placed outside, but also close to the other hand.
Step 4: Raise your hand to block the head and sweep your hand to block the lower body at the same time.
Step 5: Repeat with the other leg.
Notice:
When blocking, the lower blocking hand is located at the front foot, or in case of the crane stance, the lifting leg.
In performance, always look forward, in the direction of your front/lifting leg. In a fighting, look at the direction of your opponents.
The hand of the lower block is placed about two fists above your thigh, and the hand of the upper block is placed about one fist above the head.

Sabeum Suanjaya: Teknik Dasar Taekwondo yang Harus Dikuasai
Budaya bela diri Korea, terutama Taekwondo, telah mencapai popularitas yang signifikan di Indonesia. Arti kata ‘Tae’ adalah menghancurkan dengan kaki, sedangkan ‘Kwon’ memiliki makna tinju, seni, atau berjalan. Dalam artikel ini, kita akan membahas secara mendalam lima teknik dasar Taekwondo yang harus dikuasai oleh setiap atlet.
Materi Latihan Teknik Taekwondo
Sebelum kita masuk ke teknik dasar, penting untuk memahami materi latihan Taekwondo. Ada tiga aspek kunci yang harus diketahui oleh atlet pemula:
Kyupa: Teknik pemecahan benda keras. Dalam latihan ini, atlet menggunakan objek benda mati seperti gunting, batu bata, atau papan kayu untuk melatih pukulan, tendangan, dan sapuan.
Poomsae: Rangkaian jurus gerakan dasar pertahanan dan serangan melawan lawan dalam bentuk imajiner. Poomsae membentuk dasar kekuatan mental dan fisik atlet.
Kyoruki: Latihan pertarungan di mana teknik gerakan dasar diterapkan. Melibatkan dua orang untuk melakukan latihan ini, Kyoruki memperkuat keterampilan bertarung atlet.
Sabeum Suanjaya: Teknik Dasar Taekwondo
1. Kuda-Kuda Dalam dunia bela diri, kuda-kuda sering menjadi fondasi teknik dasar. Fungsi utama kuda-kuda adalah menjaga keseimbangan, baik saat menyerang maupun bertahan. Beberapa kuda-kuda penting yang harus dikuasai:
Ap Koobi: Kuda-kuda langkah panjang, menciptakan stabilitas dan kekuatan serangan. Ap Seogi: Kuda-kuda langkah pendek, di mana kaki berada seperti tengah melangkah, memastikan keseimbangan dan mobilitas. Moa Seogi: Posisikan kaki rapat tubuh, menciptakan fondasi yang kuat untuk pertahanan dan serangan. Dwit Koobi: Buka kedua kaki, dengan kaki belakang menghadap samping, menciptakan variasi dalam gerakan. Joochoom Seogi: Kuda-kuda di mana kaki sejajar mengarah ke samping, memberikan stabilitas maksimal. Tekuk kaki dengan tepat untuk mempertahankan postur yang benar.
2. Beom Seogi Teknik dasar Beom Seogi melibatkan posisi kaki depan berada di belakang, menghadap lurus ke depan seperti langkah harimau. Tekuk kaki belakang untuk menstabilkan berat badan, sementara kaki depan tekuk ke depan dengan ujung-ujung jari menyentuh lantai. Beom Seogi memberikan kombinasi unik antara stabilitas dan kelincahan.
Pentingnya Behasa Tubuh dalam Taekwondo
Selain teknik dasar, bahasa tubuh memainkan peran krusial dalam Taekwondo. Gerakan tubuh yang tepat dapat meningkatkan efektivitas teknik dan mengesankan para juri. Beberapa prinsip bahasa tubuh dalam Taekwondo meliputi:
1. Postur Tubuh Memahami postur tubuh adalah kunci untuk menguasai setiap teknik. Pastikan tubuh tegak, bahu rileks, dan pandangan mata fokus pada lawan. Postur tubuh yang baik meningkatkan presisi dan daya dorong dalam setiap tendangan atau pukulan.
2. Ekspresi Wajah Ekspresi wajah mencerminkan kepercayaan diri dan konsentrasi. Seorang atlet Taekwondo harus dapat mengendalikan ekspresi wajahnya untuk menunjukkan ketenangan dan kefokusan.
Menjadi Atlet Taekwondo yang Unggul
Untuk menjadi atlet Taekwondo yang unggul, diperlukan komitmen dan latihan yang konsisten. Selain itu, pemahaman mendalam terhadap aspek-aspek teknis dan psikologis Taekwondo menjadi kunci sukses. Jangan hanya menguasai teknik dasar, tetapi juga kembangkan bahasa tubuh yang ekspresif dan penuh percaya diri.
Kesimpulan
Dalam bela diri Taekwondo, Sabeum Suanjaya, atau pelatih senior, adalah sosok yang memiliki peran penting dalam membimbing atlet menuju keunggulan.
