When your crush on your childhood friend goes so hard you swap personalities

As kids, a boy with a penchant for fighting and a classic girly girl meet and immediately hit it off. Things change when they’re attacked. He goes a bit too far in fighting back and scares her. She cowers and feels incredibly guilty for being useless. Following that, the two go their separate paths and change themselves drastically. He ditches violence and embraces beauty and passion, while she leaves behind the ribbons and frills and becomes a formidable fighter.

When they meet again, they do not recognise each other and absolutely hate each other for being too prissy/being a feral brute. They make a bet on who can outdo the other within 80 days (she chose that kid because when they were kids they promised each other they’d do something great before that date) and proceed to try and do so as they’re caught up in various events happening in the world, consistently arguing slowly growing to respect and like each other.

When she admits her feelings right before a climactic moment, he tries to protect her by keeping her away from the fighting. As he does so, she sees the scar he got when they were attacked as kids and they realise who the other is. In the aftermath of he final battle, they settle into a relationship where they’re not dating, not NOT dating, always fighting in a way that’s also flirting and would die to protect each other.

The Hero and The Soldier

The Hero, in the beginning, is a fresh faced, pathetic and weak newbie tasked with saving the world. The Soldier is a sadistic, but secretly deeply hurt, golden-hearted man who decides to accompany him. Together they are tasked with defeating a great evil and saving the world.

The two form a comedically antagonistic pair, but come to deeply care about each other, with the ribbing never truly disappearing the more their relationship grows.

In a decisive battle, the Soldier sacrifices himself alongside the great evil to save the world, resigning himself to endless solitude sealed in suspended space. The Hero condemns this, declaring he'll revive the Soldier as he wasn't able to die having lived a happy life. The Hero grows to become a revered name, growing both in strength and notoriety, and eventually his goal is achieved. The Soldier is able to shed his past and start begin trying to live peacefully, though he holds reservations over the Hero's tremendous growth, starting to believe the Hero no longer needs him. The Hero very much does need him.

The Hero is now currently extremely protective of the Soldier, not wanting to lose him again, almost falling into despair when he thinks Soldier has died once more. He regains his clarity when he is told the Soldier died with a smile, choosing his relationship with the Soldier over his hatred of the man he thinks killed him. He is also respectful of the Soldier's need for a peaceful life, even if it means needing to part ways.

The Soldier, slowly healing from a life filled with hurt and hatred, has come to find comfort in his life with his friends and family, states that he'll die with a smile, and that he's glad he'll be able to die seeing the Hero's face. (don't worry no one actually dies)

little summary of the newest + chapter

for anyone thats curious and probably wants some angst today

nobody expects a flashback chapter this soon. But its haruhara so wheres the surprise? anyway

basically in this timeline the boss (evil alba) is actually a good kid in the beginning. The difference with the normal timeline is in here alba's mother got caught by some strange sickness/curse and mostly stays on bed (note that her silhoutte appears like normal person, not emoticon). Midnight then went on journey to find a way to save her but was never heard of again. Alba then got adopted by another family called Paulred/Paulled (ポールレッド) and this family is quite rich, owns a mansion and all. I guess this is why this Alba is more sterner? and a bit bossy. The other kids also seemed to be reluctant of him so yeah. He saves a kid from being bullied, the reason he does is because he believes that his mother would recover if he keeps playing the good kid. Timeskips to when alba and his friend (the one who got bullied) is 13 and they were talking about Rchimedes. Alba's friend said his dad told him that Rchimedes the Shaman lives across the mountains. Alba thought that Rchimedes was just a fictional person at first, but was intrigued when his friend mentions about how Rchimedes can bring miracles and grant wishes. To be continued. Yeah i think it was pretty obvious what alba is going to do next. Im just.. curious how horrible this is going to end..
