Ang kalayaan sa pagpapahayag ay isa sa pinakamahalagang karapatan ng tao, nakapaloob sa maraming konstitusyon at pandaigdigang deklarasyon. Binibigyan nito ng lakas ang mga tao na ipahayag ang kanilang opinyon, salungatin ang mga ideya, at ibahagi ang kanilang mga paniniwala nang walang takot sa sensura. Ang tamang balanseng paggamit ng kalayaan sa pagpapahayag ay mahalaga upang magpatuloy ang malusog na komunikasyon at pagkakaintindihan sa ating lipunan.

🇺🇸-Without a doubt one of the best films I've ever seen! Based on the book by Marcelo Rubens Paiva, the film tells the true story of Eunice Paiva, (mother of the book's writer) a woman who must take care of her 5 children and deal with the disappearance of her husband, Rubens Paiva, by the military regime in force at the time (the film begins in 1970, and the regime lasted from 1964 to 1985).

This film realistically shows part of the horror that was the period of the Brazilian military dictatorship, in which thousands of innocent people were threatened, exiled, tortured and even killed by the regime's military, and along with the film we have the great presence of the most iconic Brazilian MPB ( Brazillian popular music) artists who fought against the regime's censorship such as Roberto Carlos, Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso and others...

I have to mention the FLAWLESS performance by Fernanda Torres (Fernanda Montenegro's daughter) playing the protagonist Eunice Paiva. She SO deserves the Oscar for this film and to honor the Oscar that was stolen from her mother in 1999 with the film "Central do Brasil" (central Brazil)

🇧🇷- Sem dúvidas um dos melhores filmes que já vi! Baseado no livro do Marcelo Rubens Paiva, o filme conta a real história de Eunice Paiva, (Mãe do escritor do livro) uma mulher que deve cuidar dos seus 5 filhos e lidar com o desaparecimento de seu marido Rubens Paiva pelo regime militar vigente na época ( o filme começa em 1970, e o regime durou de 1964 a 1985 ).

Esse filme mostra de forma realista uma parcela do horror que foi o período da ditadura militar brasileira, em que milhares de pessoas inocentes foram ameaçadas, exiladas, torturadas e até mortas pelos militares do regime, e junto com o filme temos a grande presença dos mais icônicos artistas brasileiros da MPB que lutaram contra a sensura do regime como Roberto Carlos, Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso e entre outros...

Não posso deixar de falar da atuação IMPECÁVEL da Fernanda Torres (filha da Fernanda Montenegro) interpretando a protagonista Eunice Paiva. Ela merece MUITO o Oscar nesse filme e honrar o Oscar que foi roubado da sua mãe em 1999 com o filme "Central do Brasil"

ok well the stoma nurse said try stoma paste to see if that stops me leaking and it looked promising initially but as SOON as i lay down, i start leaking in the same spot... and they won't swap me to deep convex because they don't want to risk bruising or pressure injuries, so i guess i am simply just gonna have to be changing 4x a week instead of 2x a week now

which is a lot to add to my routine and i'll have to keep a closer eye on my skin and my supply usage because the amount i got this month was for changing 2x a week, so i'll probably run out of at least barrier rings and barrier spray... i can go without the rings at least without big issues (and i might see if i can sample some others because i've only used eakin and dansac ones), but the barrier spray is a problem because it's on bimonthly dispensing. i do have a spare that's just gone out of date though so maybe that's fine? it probably is tbqh

i am just grateful i leak under the adhesive and that the sensura mio soaks it up and i don't get blowouts because this way it's manageable especially if i'm just changing more frequently, and it's only minor leakage really

Temporary Ileostomy: The Straight S**t

As part of my cancer treatment, I underwent surgery in mid-November, I had a left ureter.bladder resection, a full hysterectomy, removal of 22 lymph nodes, and a colon resection. As a result of that resection, I was also given a temporary ileostomy. An ileosstomy is a literal hole in you that takes the place of pooping from your butt. It's formed by taking a bit of the small intestine and bringing it to the surface of your abdomen.

When I saw mine, I did not know whether to cry, scream, or throw up.

They will tell you a lot about your stoma in the hospital, but it's going to be a lot of bull. Here's my experience.

What You Will Need:

Here is my stoma shopping list. I use Amazon because going through my insurance was more expensive and took longer to get here.

Coloplast SenSura convex ostomy bag

Coloplast Brava moldable ostomy rings

Coloplast Brava ostomy powder

Coloplast adhesive remover wipe

Safe n Simple Peristoma Cleanser/Adhesive wipe

Safe n Simple skin prep wipe

Ostomy curved scissors

Round cotton pads

Basic Kleenex

Sensitive skin baby wipes - no lotions or essential oils.

Beaker

Cute ostomy bag covers

Rinsing bottle or tap extender hose

Dealing with Shit

"Oh, each bag should last four or five days."

Maybe if you just lie there and don't sweat. Moreover, stomach acid is stomach acid and will eat at adhesive. When you eat a big meal, you can also dislodge your stoma bag with *cough* output. I bought but never used the bag deodorant. In my experience the Coloplast bags never let out any odor.

Tip 1: Have a few bags cut ahead of time. I usually kept three precut.

Tip 2: Have a travel kit with a bag, scissors, and everything you need to change your bag on the road.

Tip 3: There are disposal bags in the bottom of the coloplast box.

Tip 4: You can size and center your barrier ring and bag in the mirror.

Tip 5: You can shower without your bag. Use a gentle Ph-balanced cleanser on the area covered by your bag's adhesive. If you want, cover the stoma itself with a dressing and waterproof film.

Tip 6: An ice pack can help reduce swelling in and around a stoma if that swelling causing a backup.

Tip 7: Lightly massage to see if that will move a blockage

Tip 8: It's easy to get dehydrated - so drink lots of water and/or your rehydration of choice.

Tip 9: Report any skin issues immediately to your stoma nurse or doctor.

Emptying the Bag:

Take the beaker and run about an inch of water into the bottom.

Open the outlet of the bag and pressing your hand down the length of the bag, push the poop out.

Rinse the bag with hose or bottle.

Wipe, fold, and seal the outlet.

Dump the poop and water into the toilet.

Rinse and dump until the water is clear.

Wash beaker in soap and hot water.

Changing the Bag

Set up your waste bag. Remove bag and wipe your skin around the stoma with baby wipes until clean.

Use adhesive remover to get every last bit of adhesive off.

Use peristoma cleaner - make sure skin area is fully clean!

Wipe with skin prep.

Squirt powder over area - all of it - and remove excess with cotton round. The powder keeps down the moisture from sweat that will loosen the bag and cause leaks.

Press barrier ring over opening on fresh bag.

Looking in the mirror, center and press over stoma, holding for a minute or two until the glue cures.
