We Need to Learn to Love.

I don’t understand why people, when given the option choose hate over love & by option I mean every time you decide to make a comment on anything, social media or otherwise. Manchester for example, Children are DEAD, people are in the hospital and/or missing, and we can’t look any further past which religion/race is responsible, or push aside differences like political opinions (BTW Why am I reading a bunch of comments bashing libs/conserv?) The most heartbreaking thing I came across was an older woman who commented on a twitter thread saying that everyone who died and was hurt DESERVED IT? HI, NO ONE DESERVES TO BE A VICTIM OF A TERRORIST ATTACK, LET ALONE SMALL CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS. We all need to take some tips from the UK (if you haven’t seen the video to know what I’m talking about I’ll link it here).

I also want to touch on the fact that although she is ok, Ariana deserves any of the love she receives from her fans, yes the victims are obviously important and need the primary attention but it was HER concert. In a smaller sense, think of it like being in charge of a bunch of little kids and one of them gets hurt. You may not be their mum or dad, but you’re still gonna feel bad that you let a kid get hurt under your supervision. You don’t need to be a hard core Ari fan to know how accepting, loving and caring she is of her fans, (and in general) and some people have yet to realize that she will be carrying this burden around with her for the rest of her life. Obviously there is nothing to say whether the quote is true or not but it feels exactly like something that would go through anyone’s mind in a moment such as that.

Reading through all of these opinions is getting to be exhausting nowadays. You can’t even watch a stupid 2 minute Facebook video without finding a bunch of negative comments posted underneath. I’m sick of not caring and just being rude for no reason being “in”. Hate and negativity doesn’t look good on anyone.

The take away from this is be compassionate, be considerate, and be CAREFUL. It’s a fucked up world and we need each other now more than ever.

Sadden

Honestly, heart broken & sadden by the tragedies that unfortunately occurred this weekend. My heart goes out to Christina’s family & fans and to my community. Love wins & will continue. I’m shock of how in just in a short time one state becomes the new stomping ground for violence. Horrified, with the lack of gun control and how many victims who suffered. Sending all my love and support to the families and friends of the victims.

Today, as I send my thoughts to Orlando, I hope every single one of you keeps the courage to be everything that you are. At seventeen, I was more open with everyone about who I am. As I've aged, I've realized how cruel the world is. I am a woman of color. I am bisexual. I often feel fluid in my gender. I have had many people judge or degrade me for just being who I am. Never have I had to face a night like the people of Orlando. No one should ever have to. Though we are afraid, we should be seeking comfort in each other. I am so angry. I am proud of who I am. I am proud of everyone in the LBGTQ+ community. We have come so far. We may be shaken, but our love will always endure. Be who you are ruthlessly. Don't let the world shut you down.
