#sending so much love to my older headspace regressors!!

being a cg to a teen regressor makes me think about the endless opportunities of taking care of an older kiddo.

instead of monitoring and scheduling "playdates," i'm slipping a bit of cash to my baby when they hang out with friends, sending them off with a curfew and an embarrassing amount of kisses before they're out the door. or, letting them control the radio on road trips, rocking out all the while to the tunes.

it's also being a gentle yet firm guardian, from monitoring social media consumption to limiting energy drinks for their mental/physical well-being. but most importantly it's letting them feel heard when (despite being in an older headspace) words and feelings can still be hard to understand and communicate. its okay to feel frustrated or angry or upset at the world, you will always have the space to feel heard here because mama will always be right there for her baby with open arms.

Ok ive had More Thoughts:

*note - if i say ‘vode’ im referring to the clones, again I’m very influenced by The Soft Wars 😂).

Big Brother CG!Rex (to Anakin, fives n echo; but Papa!CG to tup and other younger 501st members. His caregiving style is a mix of all his ori’vode (older brothers) (in my AU/HCs particularly cody, ponds, bly, wolffe, 17). Soft spot for baby regressors (*cough* Tup *cough*), but pretty good with all ages! He is especially good at looking after teen!Anakin who can be a bit moody. Tup once accidentally called him Dad whilst not regressed, Rex nearly died (/pos). Probably enjoys play wrestling with older littles or turning training sims into games for them. Fives and Echo are singlehandedly sending him grey quicker than the clones’ quick aging genes. 17 flat out laughs at him and calls it karma when he voices this particular thought. Rex is def the Dad of the 501st.)

Toddler Regressor!Tup (1-5) (usually Teeny tiny. Will not be convinced otherwise. Similar to ahsoka, he has all the 501st wrapped around his finger however he’s comically oblivious to this. Probably pretty shy when he regresses, unless dogma is Little in which case he has the Older Brother Override and will ask for things for Dogma).

Toddler Regressor!Dogma (unsure on age range, probably only feels comfiest regressing when tup is nearby, a bit wary of his ori’vode when little. In this Au The first person outside of Tup he really opens up to is Echo, and echo melts because this vod’ika reminds him so much of himself. Eventually Dogma becomes ok with being around CG’s when regressed, but he’s still pretty jumpy. The CGs understand no loud voices or sudden moves around him. When hes a little older he enjoys playing simple strategy games with Echo, or being read to. Fives’ energy is a little overwhelming for him at times and he can often be seen subtly hiding just behind Echo or Tup.)

Regressor!Ahsoka (2-6) (Either the Cutest tiny baby you ever saw, or a little menace. Either way she has Anakin & the entire 501st wrapped around her little finger. Togruta are a pack species so I could see her preferring to spend time and sleep in the barracks when regressing on the ship, or out in the common areas when in the temple on Coruscant. I also (thanks to fanart and fics) HC she can and will nap anywhere - ani, obi, or vode stay still for too long? Shes climbing into their lap for a lil sleep. Probably does this while Big too tbh. Sees Rex as dada or a big brother depending on her age and the day. Loves playdates with little!barriss! Has a tendency to slip veeery easily around Plo (even just over a holocall) - that man gives such comforting fatherly vibes.)

Flip!Anakin (biggest range - 5-9; sometimes early teens; def a Big Brother!CG to Ahsoka. He once babysat fives and echo, Rex and Kix forbade him from doing it again. They’re still finding glitter in the vents. Loves being a big brother while little, especially to soka! Def hides in the vents for fun, often giving Obi-Wan or Cody heart-attacks. Rex on the other hand is completely prepared for this after the first time it happens, and thus no longer freaks out. Oh!! Probably likes taking naps down in the engine room - this guy’s from a desert planet, i imagine he gravitates to warmth. When he’s CG’ing he’ll let Ahsoka sit on his lap and curl up while he tinkers with a droid or something, or plays the Best games of hide n seek with her. I could see him pulling her into his lap while he meditates too, she’s like a cuddly weighted blanket. Though sometimes playing with Little!Soka does result in him regressing to his teen headspace. As a CG he also loves when Ahsoka regresses and he can just carry her around - you cant convince me this guy isnt a huge hugger with those he loves. I imagine it took him a bit to fully warm uo to the idea of regressing in front of people who weren’t obi-wan, but Rex was endlessly patient and welcoming. I could also see Plo babysitting ani one day when hes already looking after Ahsoka. Anakin’s nervous/antsy at first but once he realises Plo really really doesn’t mind he calms down a little. He mentally decides Ahsoka was right and Plo is the Best Hug Giver, not that he’d ever tell anyone.)

CG!Obi-Wan (main CG for ani, moreso a babysitter for Ahsoka. Fondly commiserates with Rex over trouble-prone littles. Secretly (or not so secretly) loves getting to look after his padawan and grand-padawan when they’re little. Probably also VERY indulgent to any Little!212ths on The Negotiator - wdym these precious babies didnt get to have TOYS growing up, here, have 20, all bought from his personal jedi allowance. No Cody (& 17) he is Not going soft thank you very much. Loves telling stories to anyone who wants to listen - both Big or Little. Absolutely melted the first time anakin called him papa.)

CG!Cody (ngl I can see him ending up babysitting anakin for short periods of time and the idea is wildly amusing to me. Toddler/Kiddo ani running rampant in the temple or Negotiator, a very Weary or Amused cody leisurely following behind. He has a backpack leash for this exact scenario. However! I see him as a main CG to Wooley and probably looks out for any other littles on board. I could see the vode probably taking the ‘it takes a village’ mentality to caregiving! Def babysits for waxer n boil. He gives me ‘looks scary but is actually a cinnamon-roll’ vibes. …probably ahsoka’s fav vode-uncle. Anakin’s a lil wary of him at first but eventually warms up to him. Similarly, I imagine wooley was quite nervous the first time he regressed around cody (whether on purpose or accidental) but Cody calmed him down pretty quickly!))

Little!Fives (4-8) (Chaos incarnate /pos. Loves playing with Anakin no matter anakin’s headspace, though as earlier mentioned there must be someone else supervising (preferably Rex or Kix). Similarly tends to seek out Echo when he regresses (whether echo is big or small). Loves runnin around with his brothers! Once slipped up and called Rex ‘Dad’ whilst Big, has Not lived it down (No, cody, rex did not nearly cry). Probably also loves playing with Jesse, in a similar way to how he does with Anakin. Rex has discovered the best way to get Fives to settle down is to ask him to play with Tup - he loves his baby bro and having a set thing to do :3. Absolute cuddle monster if given half the chance. Once called 17 ‘Grandpa’ whilst little, rex and cody about died from laughter.

Flip!Echo (3-8) (I HC him as either being incredibly quiet when little or an absolute chatterbox, theres no in-between. Loves reading!! Rex sourced some safe books for him to read while Little from Obi-Wan and Shaak-Ti. Takes his Older Brother role very seriously when little, especially to Dogma. Can proooobably be found curled up on a bed reading to Dogma, Tup, Ahsoka, n Fives (and anyone else nearby, big or little). Probably likes hanging out with Kix in his office in medbay - mostly because he enjoys learning new things. Loves when the 212th joins them on missions because Obi-Wan has the best stories (once Echo and all the others got over their initial nervousness of regressing around him). As a CG i imagine him being pretty calm, probably why Dogma and babyspace!Ahsoka gravitate to him.)

CG!Kix (The Mum of the 501st. Always has fun bandaids on hand for any injuries the 501st littles get into, no matter how small. Probably Jesse’s primary caregiver but also babysits any other littles on board. Professional baby/kiddo comforter - the title comes with being the 501st’s chief medical officer. Keeps spare pacifiers n small toys in his office in case any vode regress while in medbay. Speaking of, superr good with kiddos in medbay - “Hey buddy, wanna see something super cool?” Probably designates a specific section of medical to littles - cuddly blankets, fun stickers on the ceiling, and so on. Obi-Wan sees the idea and suggests rolling it out across all battalions to the council. I HC kix as being one of the stricter/firmer CGs on board, but he’s still super gentle with it.)

CG!Shaak-Ti - thats mama!! Mama to all the lil baby clones on Kamino. Gentle parenting extraordinaire. Gives Rex some information on looking after baby Togrutas. Definitely always has a private comm for any commanders to reach out if they need anything for regressors/vode in general.

I regress due to extremely debilitating anxiety as well as the fact that I had to grow up too fast. Like most age regressors, it is my coping mechanism and my safe space.

My regressed headspace ranges from 1-5, but usually ends up around the 1-3 range :P

My big age is 18 though

My favorite little shows are Bluey, My Little Pony, Octonauts, Max and Ruby, and Blues Clues! I also love Sailor Moon, but that’s usually a thing when i’m at a slightly older age range.

When I’m feeling extra small I love watching Hey Bear sensory videos

I love my stuffies sooo much, but I have too many to list them all! my comfort stuffie is a gray elephant named Winston, though

My favorite little foods are DINO NUGGETS!!!! baby goldfish, animal crackers, apples with peanut butter, broccoli with cheese, and any cut up sandwich with no crust. oh and fruit snacks :)

I technically have a cg, but he isn’t very present and the situation stresses me out so I usually come here for comfort
