Snow covered the entirety of edo. It looked like a beautiful, fluffy white landscape. Beautiful or not, it was still pretty cold. An icy gust of wind would blow every now and then, to make anyone outside shiver. Especially if they weren't properly dressed. The sun wasn't as overbearing during winter, but Yatos would still carry around their umbrellas. Snowflakes would fall, making it look even more like a snowy wonderland.

Kamui and Kagura were walking with Namida to her apartment, to hang out, have some hot chocolate, and play video games together. On the way though, the siblings were bickering with each other which wasn't anything new.

''Who cares if that guy's mad? I'm not apologetic in the least.'' Kamui would say nonchalantly with his usual smiling expression, ''Tell mr. samurai to go cry about it.''

''Kamui, every time you visit or stay over you eat literally everything. It's cool if you decide to cook for me, or buy me food but what the fuck am I supposed to do once you leave?! Ever think about that?!'' Kagura questioned looking pissed off at him,

Kagura was extremely tempted to punch him, but before she decided on anything both of them got hit with snowballs which surprised them and completely diverted their attention to the source. Namida had obviously been the culprit given her gloves covered with snow, and that look on her face.

''Big sis, I'm trying to lecture the idiot, since he-'' Kagura didn't get to finish before Kamui pummeled her with a snowball, making her let go since she FELT that painfully given how strong he is.

''DAMNIT Kamui!'' She glared over at his dumb face, that was laughing at her while running away. Kagura decided to form a giant snowballs and angrily tossed it at him, but he was quick to jump out the way.

''Hah, wow you suck and have the worst aim possible.'' Kamui would say smugly only making Kagura throw more aggressive snowballs at her. He jumped around dodging every single one.

''You're just showing off now! Cut it out!'' She was determined to hit him at least once before the day was over though.

''Namida, Namida ~!'' Kamui would happily call out her name, before hitting her with a snowball too. He's been doing his best trying to better control his strength, since he's been scared of hurting her again ever since that prank with the eggs all that time ago. He still feels guilty over that.

''Didn't want to hit your face, like I did to Kagura given how cute you are. ♡'' After he says that, his lips pressed against her cheek, grinning playfully.

''Your cheek is really cold, do you think we should head to your place now ? Don't want you to get sick after all.'' Kamui went ahead and cupped her cheeks.

''They're sooooo soft.'' He chuckles, as his thumbs gently strokes her cheeks. His stare lingers on her, and he was unable to resist the temptation to lean in, wanting to kiss her. However, right before he could, a snowball hit him in the back of the head. Kamui immediately scowled.

Stepped foot on the bridge and saw the big, wide usual green - now white - scenery of the nation. Though danger lurked out there, Taru knew that there was nothing to worry about. The two of them, alone but also together, were strong enough to travel out there peacefully. It was quiet, with only the snow’s crunching echoing through icy air, whenever they stepped on it. Confident in her own skills, Taru left her vision in their home. Had she survived for the longest time without it after all - but she wanted to feel what such winter was like. How it was to feel the cold, that was still warmer than in Snezhnaya or Dragonspine, how it was to feel the warmth while walking beside somebody she… loved.

Loved? The thought about that word alone, caused her heart to race. Unable to focus on anything at all, as she was too lost in her own thoughts. It was the sensation of something crashing against her back that caused her to come back to reality. Eyes widened, for she didn’t know for a moment what it was. However, a glance at her boyfriend and she understood that he had thrown snow at her - snowballs they were called, if she remembered right. She had once watched kids in Snezhnaya from afar, how they’d throw those at each other. But never participated in those herself.

Money definitely didn't come easy, given the type of job they had. Odd jobs, as in various random things people would ask of them. It wasn't often people came to them for random jobs, which meant money also wasn't something they often had. Especially since this idiot often spent it on gambling, which was frustrating. Well, it wasn't like they starved. Too often anyway. Kagura had a monstrous appetite, and ate most of the food. When her brother wasn't visiting, doing it himself, the bastard. Kagura still, immensely enjoyed being here with her Earth family. A poor adult figure, and a stupid otaku who sometimes played mom and cleaned the apartment when visiting.

Kagura leaned against Gintoki's arm comfortably, huffing as they soaked in the heat which felt nice. Edo was so cold lately, maybe global warming or something. She didn't understand that crap.

''Gin-chan, why can't we have a fireplace?''

''Our apartment is so small, we don't even have a kitchen and have to go down to the old lady's floor to use hers when we don't use our rice cooker.'' She complained, despite not really minding. The situation could be worse. They could be like Hasegawa, no home at all unless he's mooching off of someone.
